This place was INCREDIBLE! They had us seated in less than 15 mind on a busy night, and served us very fast as well! The steaks and pastas are beyond amazing! Highly recommend for anniversaries, dates, family gathering, etc.

This is a great place to get a fantastic Italian meal. Everything is delicious, fresh, and tasty. The service is attentive and friendly. They make you feel welcome and that they want to satisfy you. The drinks are generous, espressos were perfect. Dessert was outstanding. You need to come here!!. I cant say enough good things.
Very unhappy with that place. A Birthday celebration was planned for my wife, 2 separate tables. We arrived along with a few people and we were seated, expecting another group at the table next to us. Unbeknownst to us, the staff seated the other people at another table in another section in the restaurant and we thought they were 40 minutes late when they actually were there on time. We specifically gave the staff my wifes name and told our party to mention it. One of the people in our party, didnt get her entree served until we finished eating and my wife ordered a side dish of pasta which never arrived. We were never there before, new to the area, and our neighbors highly recommend that place. We gave it a chance, but never again will we be returning
Terrible Experience, Unbelievable! Was here for Mothers Day with 14 People (family, 87 year old mother, sisters, children) Spent ALOT of Money and Were Treated like we SHOULDNT be there. The food came out very late, and we were told 10 mins into our main course that the check is ready and we need to leave because of the next seating is arriving. Im Appalled, will NEVER come again, we were literally denied Dessert and Coffees. DISGUSTED with this place, BLOOD BOILING.

Nice place. Wasnt crowded for a Fri night 730ish. Picked up around 830-9. Food was very good! Fried calamari and baked clams were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The veal marsala was delish!I had gluten free penne with marsala sauce. Probably one of the best GF pastas Ive had.Would be 5stars if waiter didnt forget about us and fired our dishes late. People sat after us were onto dessert before we got our entres
Came for mother’s day lunch, things were really well run and didn’t have to wait at all. Dishes were very generous, even the half portions. Zucchini noodles were great, had a great family style meal, would highly recommend.
This is a tough review since I dont usually like family style restaurants. The service was good. The portions were good. The owners gave you a choice to order whole or half portions. The food was good. The place doesnt take reservations and this is why I dropped a star. If you get to the place early you will enjoy it.
Some people are impossible to lease.I was at at Bithday Party this weekend. The food was Delicious and Fresh! Service outstanding. Plenty to eat for everyone. I am considering having an event there soon.
Nice place but service was so slow .The place was jammed the appetizers were great a incredible selection. The appetizers were so good if i went back thats what i would order .But a table of 12 with one waiter doesnt work .We were dieing for drinks that never came i wanted water that never came and the waiter was working hard .I will go back with 4 people not 12 it just didnt work .Restaurant is a tuff business good place just dont go there with 12 people u will be disappointed as most likely any restaurant that busy would have a problem .But go .
Waited 20 minutes at the front before anyone greeted us . The bar is extremely small and under staffed , waited another 20min for a drink, bartenders were under tremendous stress. The wait for food took over 40min and the Calamari was dry and rubbery. Not worth the wait ciao baby restaurant is way better with a much better bar. Definitely Won’t be back . I’d pass on this place .

Was there last night , the place looks niceBut the food was not great or good.Ordered a drink and that was horribleAnd i was charged 15 dollars for it..The staff needs waiter training and the manager needs to dress appropriate for the occasssion, manager had his shirt openAnd sweat marks all over .....I would not reccommend or be a repeat customer of this place .....I feel i was ripped off for not good food and a horrible drink....The only thing that tasted italian and was decent was the cappuccino
I would have given 4 stars if the waiter did a better job of advising us of the portion sizes. Beware, they are ridiculously large. Although very fresh the food was a little bland.

I have a friend that lives in Bellmore and they recommended Mateos for lunch so we came with a party of 3 adults one child. We ordered one entrée one appetizer to share but they took too long to make our food, I sat there almost an hour waiting for my entrée. I grew impatient so I asked to host check if the food was ready, he was friendly at first but also displayed shady behavior. When they finally served the entrée the noodles were undercooked and the clams were way too salty. I dont think Ill be visiting another Matteos, I also received a vibe that theyre racist too. if you want to experience genuine Italian cuisine come to my side of town, Lennys on cross bay blvd is delicious!
Food was delicious. Place was crowded. Almost appears as if they cram in the tables to the point that every time someone walked past me theatre bumping me or my chair.

2022-05-16First time here and it was amazing!! Some of the best Italian food on Long Island and the portions are huge. Our server Bryan was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He helped make sure we ordered the perfect amount of food and suggested some delicious dishes. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend!!

2022-02-07Italian family style. Antipasto dish was great. The fish and pasta dishes were delicious. The chicken dish was light on chicken. Probably use one breast to pound into 3 cutlets.Drinks at the bar were very pricey, and they needed a second bartender.

2018-01-26A true classic, a taste of Italy. The service is excellent, you allows feel part of the family. The appetizers are amazing and the entrees are enormous. A true family style restaurant, bring your friends, bring your family. This place is top notch. And don’t forget there fresh deserts. Giavani & Toni always make you feel part of there family, a must visit!

2021-12-19Had company Christmas party here. Everything was delicious from appetizers to dessert.. Food was spaced out just right between courses. Cant wait to come back
