Last week after leaving work I noticed my tire pressure was quickly dropping and I found a nail in my tire. I drove to one place which told me they weren’t able to help, I began to worry because I was going away for the holiday and needed it fixed ASAP. I called 3 other places which also told me they couldn’t help because it was already 5pm. I took a chance and called this location and spoke with Johnny who told me I could bring it in. As soon as I arrived he quickly put my car on the lift, plugged my tire, as well as checked and filled a few of my other tires which were reading low. Johnny went above and beyond to help me when no other location would. I will 100% return in the future for my car needs! Great pricing and caring staff. Thank you again!
Took my friends car here to have a tire plugged and oil change. They claimed to have done the work and then less than a week later her tire was leaking again. She took it back herself with me and Johnny the mechanic was super rude to her. He told her that there was no plug in the tire and that he couldnt get the lug nuts off because of an ELECTRICAL ISSUE that required him to order new lugs and keep the car overnight. I show up to take her car back and he refused to explain to me what electrical issue is caused by lug nuts and just gave us the car back. HORRIBLE service and the fact that they tried to take advantage of a female is just wrong.

I had a super low tire from what turned out to be a nail in my tire leaking air. I was super frazzled and desperate already as the first 2 places I called couldnt see me and the 3rd place I went to was overloaded with work. I made my way out to this location and was promptly greeted with friendliness and understanding of my situation. Justin took care of me immediately and promised me hed have it repaired in 20 mins. I must have been waiting no more than 10 minutes when he pulled my car around out front for me and told me it was all set. Excellent customer service!! He was super compassionate, professional, and really valued my time as I value his and his expertise. Thank you Justin!!! Highly recommend this location.
Have had 2 of my vehicles serviced at this location and have received great customer service and the guys did an awesome job every time! Today Justin was fantastic fitting me in for a quick oil change without an appointment. I was in and out in less than 1/2 an hour! I’ll definitely be back!
Mavis on NFB. I went in for a tire leak, had it fixed. 4 days later the tire was back to low pressure. Was told to bring it back which I tried. The doors were locked even though the shop door said open, plus I had an appointment. Tried to call a different location and was told appointments cant be made because of the busy winter season. I returned to the shop AGAIN, 3 employees were standing on the side of the building, between businesses, doing God knows what. Finally got my tired fixed, I hope. The new assistant manager apologized and offerd a free oil change. Said they were trying to fix employee issues. I wont return.

I had a flat due to a busted valve stem. I came in during rush hour and Johnny had me back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Excellent service and very helpful!

Excellent customer service! I somehow ended up with 6 screws in my tire and wound up at Mavis after roadside pumped my tire with enough air to get to the nearest shop. Mike was very helpful and even had me call my usual mechanic to make sure my tires werent under sort of warranty that would save me money. he explained my different options and was able to replace my tire within a half hour. I truly appreciated his honesty and willingness to squeeze me in.
I drove over a curb going into the blvd mall, my front right tire was ripped and went flat, I pulled forward into a parking spot and called AA, they came fairly quickly and put the never used donut on, however the back right tire had a “bubble” and the AAman cautioned me to go slow! I was afraid to drive on the thruway to grand island and Mavis tire on NF blvd amherst was right there. I was going to get new tires before the snow came so I went in. Paul the manager was wondering the door and as soon as I pulled up he came out and asked if he could help me. I said I guess I need new tires. He looked up the size said he had a couple good recommendations and the ones I picked were on sale! He had them in stock and recommended the tire protection , which I didn’t get the last time, he said a alignment was also a good idea and I was out of there in 1 1/2 hrs. Goodyear tires, an extremely smooth ride . Service was top notch, and a very COVID friendly ,very clean place and waiting room was as well.Paul was a very knowledgeable friendly guy. I will get my next set of tires there again! Highly recommend this Mavis location!
These folks are awesome. Blew a tire but had to travel with my son. Not wanting to drive far on the donut, I called several places who couldnt fit me in for a day or two. I called this location and they said to bring it right over. I got there and they had a new tire mounted and balanced for me in less than 20 minutes.I could not be happier with ny experience!
I looked for several places to change my oil and they were all pretty expensive. When I called Mavis, Justin answered the phone and helped me through all my questions. When I came in, he helped me immediately with great service and finished quickly. I will definitely be coming back and recommend this place for anyone else in need of any car help. Thank you Justin!
Johnny was EXTREMELY helpful and quick, I came in last minute for a slow leak in my tire and he got the job done in 20-30 minutes working alone. Give my man’s a raise
This place is so hidden but provides such great timely service. I needed a few things done Im glad the manager (Mike) explained my car issues and prices before working on my car. He also gave great recommendations for the services his shop could not provide to which I am shocked all Mavis shops dont provide the same service. Also the shop and restrooms are very clean!! Thats always a plus in my book.
Came in for a flat and tire valve fix, super upfront about what they needed to do and they had me in and out under an hour. Great spot!
Typically don’t do reviews but I feel they’re important. Called mavis, and they had immediate availability. They helped me out and showed me I needed front brakes (which I knew) and back shocks. They weren’t pushy about it but wanted to make sure I was aware. They ended up taking care of the shocks and alignment for me for a great price. The manager was great to work with and they were all very friendly.
I ordered 2 tires online for Payne Ave, went in, they werent ready, the tire balancer was broken, and they said theyd mount them but couldnt balance them.I denied and was told I could come back the next day without an appt and theyd take care of me.They didnt get the machine the next day like they said they would, then their power went out for a day or two.I found out later that they didnt actually even have the tires there and they were either clueless or blatantly dishonest.I called and got connected with the call center. They set me up with an appointment at the NF Blvd location a total of a week later as the tires had never even been shipped the first time.I then arrived to find that the tires were once again never delivered and actually still in Pittsburgh and set to arrive a week late.Heres where the tide turned:Justin, the man behind the counter, while understanding that I had been given the run around, did everything he could to make my situation right. He called up the the tire distributor and made them overnight my tires so I could have them installed the next day, and dropped the price significantly to make right of the situation.Justin is a man who puts customers over profit. Mavis is lucky to have him in that position, and they should promote him as high as they can and then add another step.Before I walked in on that last day, I was never shopping at Mavis again. Now, Ill go to Justin and hope that the rest of the company can strive to achieve the same quality he shows.
I had an issue with my tire while in the area on business. Mike and his team were able to get me right in to check my car. They let me look at my tire and also explained proper tire pressures so I would know what to do/ watch out for in the future! Top notch service, and very kind and professional. Highly recommend!
I always go to Mavis. Service was quick and easy! Associates were very friendly. I had an unrelated issue and they were able to show me the problem so I had a better understanding. No attempts to upcharge and I got my fresh tires :-)
The manager, Jason, honored a verbal promise that the previous manager had made me, despite not knowing me and despite that promise not having been listed in the notes. New to the area, got a screw in my tire. Got the spare on and drove to Mavis. It was the right choice! Justin got my tire, took the screw out and patched it! He even put the tire back on for me free of charge. It was so quick, maybe took 5 minutes! Thanks Justin!
Me and daughter are from Baltimore and was trying to find a location to fix her brakes. We was refer to Mavis tire on Niagara Falls Blvd and Manager Mike took very good care of us. I love when a mechanic shop just don’t tell you the issue but show you the issue. We went in there just for brakes and he told us we need new rotors and a new Caliber. Of course that’s more money, but safety is everything. He took us into the shop area so we could see that the rotors were bad and the caliber was completely bad. He fixed it all and pricing wasn’t as bad as I know it could have been. Thanks Mike for taking care of us!! 5atars in our book

I went in and had my Subaru worked on. And all of my needs and worries with it we’re addressed and taken care of. When my vehicle was almost done I had remembered that I needed an oil change. So I went up to Mike and asked him if it would be an issue to have that done as well. He took care of it immediately for me. I will never take any of my vehicles to anyone other than Mavis. mavis has always done right by me. I have highly recommended them to some of the people that I know when they need their vehicles worked on. I will always come back to the Amherst location specifically. They are amazing at what they do and they keep you updated on details of your vehicle.
The lady at the front desk was awesome. I forgot how to spell her name, I believe it was Nyyaae, she had gorgeous curly hair. I came in for a flat tire and she got me right in. She had the guys check everything out for me as well because I was going to be driving out of town next month. She also allowed me to go back there and show me everything. Everything was good and prices were great. I will definitely be going back!

The price for my four tires was less than a quote for two tires from a local competitor.Jermaine called as soon as my truck was ready, which was sooner than I expected.The customer service and service were great! Really excellent customer service! I have been a customer at this location for a few years now and not once have I ever had an issue after getting work done. On top of great service, the staff have always been very helpful and their advice has always been sincere without seeming like I was being sold something that I did not need. In addition to all of this I have always saved money by going to this location compared to other mechanics in the area without sacrificing any quality in service.

I got a flat tire leaving dialysis I was already feeling bad and this happens. I drove to Mavis on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst parked my car and then my battery died UNBELIEVABLE!!! Came in with a nail in my mothers tire. JUSTIN promptly plugged the puncture and didnt even charge me for doing it. I really appreciated the courtesy that he extended me. Definitely will return to give them my business when the time comes

I came to Mavis in Amherst NY on Niagara Falls blvd for 4 new tires and rear brakes and new battery and some more things .. It was the best desicion I ever made about where to bring my vehicle to get worked on.. Mavis is open to do work on your cars. I had a small nail in my tired and took it into mavis to get it patched. The gentleman who helped me very friendly and helpful, I think it was Mike but i’m not 100% sure. I was helped almost as soon as I arrived and the whole process was done in less than an hour. Will definitely be returning if any other problems come up!

I had an unfortunate day tire when I arrived at work and had to mount the spare during a snow storm. Rather than drive around with the spare during my work day, I needed to get it fixed right away.The staff here at Mavis were very friendly. I arrived at 8 am and didnt have to wait long before Tech arrived who changed out my flat in 15 minutes. I was back on the road and on to my appointments again in no time at all.I highly rate this tire shop and would gladly recommend them to friends and family.
Courteous, good service, comfortable waiting areas for adults and a bonus separate room on other side for children. Matched lowest price on tires, very reasonable price on full synthetic oil change. Other Mavis store on Sheridan Drive not nearly as clean, spacious or professional.

New location, so theres not usually a long wait time even for walk-ins. Has a nice play area for small children and spaceous waiting area for adults with a water cooler, TV, and magazines. Dan the service manager is always good. Friendly and professional, price specials are competitive, and my oil change and rotation was completed in under an hour.

People are friendly and prices are decent, but service is VERY slow. I was told on the phone that putting winter tires on and an alignment would only take about 40 minutes so I decided to wait there. It ended up taking over 2 hours.
I got an estimate from the Corp center to change my tires, breaks, balanc and alignment. They gave the total and said I could go the same day to get it done. It was abot 3pm. I took my car at 4pm the manager told me that they cant get it done that day. Okay I just took the trip for no reason even though I was promised that they will do it that day. However, there bigger and bitter piece of the deal! The manager said they can get it don first thing the next morning, but when she gave me the total, it was $300.00 more than what I was quoted from the Corp center!! watch out! Then, I took my car to the same company, Mavis Discount Tire in Sheridan dr. 1.5 miles down the road, and saved $300.00.

Make appointment for state inspection at 10:00 am and arrive on time. Then waste for 2 hour watching. When I ask, they said I should wait for 2 more hours. Totally a waste of time. I turn to another tire store and they finish it in 40 minutes!

I was disappointed when Sears closed as its close to my work so its convenient for minor repairs...since Mavis opened up here I have gone a few times and I have been very satisfied. They never seem to be very busy so they can usually get you in without much notice and Dan the manager is very knowledgeable.
Wasted 45 minutes of my time to open the door and say oh we cant replace your tires, even after talking to two different people and knowing the configuration would work. Find a more competent place than this and dont waste your time.

I just would like to say that Mavis took very good care of me my car drives great I will always go there for my service I really was pleased with everything theyve done for me the two times Ive been there thanks again for everything guys
Put brakes on without lubing anything. Gave attitude when brought back. Mechanic doing inspection knew exactly who did this because this is a reacuring thing here. Horrible service to go along with horrible mechanics

2022-05-12Excellent! The great service provided by this location started when I called to make an appointment for my flat tire. They were extremely patient, kind, and professional as I asked a BUNCH of questions and I kept calling back. They were so sweet! Then upon arrival I was greeted with a warm and friendly (yet still professional) greeting from the guy behind the desk. I was given about a thirty minute wait expectancy and they delivered within that timeline. Now my cars tire is good as new, and the pricing was very fair. I found my new tire shop for sure!

2022-03-08I made an appointment for a tire patch since I had a nail in one of my tires. I brought in my vehicle and they told me it would be about one hour. Johnny my technician got straight to my vehicle after he finished the previous one and he did a phenomenal job. Johnny was very quick and super friendly. I will be coming back here for all tire repairs and will recommend them to anyone else.

2022-06-22Took my car here in December to get my winter tires put on and when I go to pick it up the guy told me they threw in a power steering fluid flush for free. 6 months later my power steering is shot, so I take it in to a local (non-corporate) mechanic and he tells me the whole system needs to be replaced except for the pump. He said if Mavis didn’t use Honda power steering fluid then that easily could’ve caused this. And we know they didn’t use Honda fluid, because whatever they used was bright red, and Honda’s isn’t. So basically this shop’s negligence cost me over $1,500 in repairs by doing something I didn’t even ask for and they didn’t tell me about until after they did it.

2022-02-05I came I today with a flat tire issue. Johnathan at the front desk with no hesitation took my tire in and tested it, he found out it was a loose valve stem. Thank you John. I come to this location often to get my car worked on. Always great service.

2022-05-16They have had my car sitting in their lot waiting for 3 days just to get my tires charged, and that’s at LEAST 3 days because they still keep saying they haven’t gotten to it yet. Something that should have been done the same day I brought it in, when they opened, they have yet to even touch. This is the most ridiculous thing ever, and they are probably putting it off because they know I’m not going to have it towed again to another place. The literal worst service I’ve ever seen in my life.

He was very thorough, willing to answer all my questions and concerns, and got me my car back in a timely fashion. I’m more than satisfied with their level of service.
