The attendant at the counter at Mavis, was rude didnt care what was needed. In his own word all well. Went to Discount Tires a block away in Hempstead Tpke, wonderful took care of me. 5 stars to Discount Tires.
Its Sunday, 2pm 11/28/21, I took my tire off at home as I have a flat. Drove to Mavis as I heard good things from people about them. Well they refused to fix my flat. They didnt have to take it off my car and re install it, I took it off and had the flat on the rim. So how long does this take, 5 minutes??? The lady behind the counter said we are all booked up today we cant help you. Never in my life have I heard this from a tire center. Very poor excuse. Meanwhile there was one person in the waiting room. Horrible place, I will never go here again. I will try the tire discount place just west and south of here.
Turned me away. Barely made it to AA tire, who happily replaced my tire. Bought 4 tires from them… your loss Mavis!! Will never go back. Inside and outside shop was run down and dirty. Just go elsewhere. Don’t waste your time.

Any body in neighborhood please watch out for this shop.I pay for alignment high speed balace and tire rotation,only think done was tire balance . Nex day i was driving to work i knew right away alignent still off and my rusty wheel was on right rear.When I went the store to complain about it kid was on the front was smiling and saying you have three months warranty bring it back whats the big deal.I went to my mechanic and he showed me they didnt even try the fix the alignment.

I have been here a few times for oil changes and they have been fine but stay away for any other maintenance. They try and sell you on services you don’t need and are dishonest. Dropped my wife’s car off in the morning for an oil change and she is told she needs brake pad replacement(she just had them replaced a year ago by our mechanic). I drop my car off in the afternoon for an inspection and they tell me I need brake pads also or the car won’t pass inspection. I declined the service and took the car the following day to my actual mechanic and he said the brakes are fine and it passed inspection. Seems like they try and sell everyone that they require new brakes. It’s a shame they try and take advantage of trusting people who may not know any better. They lost any future business of ours.
Mr. Charlie yet again amazes my wife and I. There are never any discrepancies in what is advised and services provided. Our vehicles are always maintained perfectly and repaired with expertise every single time we place our vehicles in the hands of Charlie. I recommend this shop to all. Professional, fair, honest, and efficient what else could you ask for?

Charlie killed it! I came in from out of town to find my parents desperately needed new tires on there car. I had a very limited time frame to get this work done. Charlie got the tires that I needed there within a day, and was willing to work with me on price. I was able to drop the car off on a Sunday morning and pick the car up after hours when complete. These guys were quick, professional and true to their word. So great to know there is still integrity in the automotive industry. Couldnt have asked for better service. My tire had a nail in it yesterday and it was losing air. Brought my car to a Mavis competitor yesterday. After waiting for over 3 hours by the competitor, I was told I needed a new tire but that they couldn’t locate a tire for me. Was told they would “do me a favor” and put my spare on with no charge. Left there and swore I’d never go back. Made a reservation online for this morning at Mavis in Bethpage to have the tire fixed. Less than two hours later, my car was done and no new tire was needed. They were able to plug my tire while I was told yesterday that I would need a new one. Not only was the staff at Mavis incredibly helpful, they made this whole aggravating experience so much more pleasant. Quick, efficient, and saved me a ton of money. Their honesty was so appreciated and will absolutely be going back! Thank you to the hardworking staff at Mavis Bethpage!
Very unprofessional I called at 8 o’clock in the morning for four tires they said no problem I’ll have your tires come in 1:30 showed up at 1:30 tiles were not there they told me to leave my truck I said no I can’t I don’t have a ride call me when the tires get here they said no problem call back in an hour later they said the tires were not there I drove their tires were sitting in a parking lot and it was only two guys working so they were understaffed one employee asked if he could help meI said I’ve been waiting for these tires he said they just got there and they probably couldn’t get to them so I have to waiting all day to get my tires done I told him to keep his tires and that he lost a customer and I’ll never do business there again and he said good and goodbye
Do not waste you r time with this establishment. I made an appointment on-line a week before for a NYS Vehicle inspection on the MAVIS website for 4 PM Sept 18th. Only to arrive at 3:45PM and have them tell me the appointment was canceled. The shop was full and they did not have time to do it. I received a reminder via email at 10 AM for the appointment. They said that being I made an appointment online it had nothing to do with them. Why even have such a system set up if a shop cannot manage there resources to accommodate and schedule appointments made online. Complete waste of time. Wound up going to FIRESTONE right down the street and they were so pleasant and were able to do the inspection right then and there. Great Staff at FIRESTONE.

My boyfriend and I made an appointment to get our cars inspected. The appointment was made specifically for a NYS inspection, and we made the appointments more than a week in advance. We show up for our appointment and are told that they aren’t doing inspections today, and to come back a different day. It would have taken them 30 seconds to call us ahead of time so we didn’t waste our time driving here. We weren’t offered any explanation and the man had awful customer service. Wouldn’t recommend this location, we will not be coming back.

I typically go to Mavis for inspections and oil changes and I love the customer service from Charlie at the front desk! Hes always so kind and welcoming. Theres not a lot of waiting space to sit, but theres a dunkin donuts and a diner next door so theres plenty of places to grab something/relax while you wait.

I had my car towed here for emergency repair as it broke down on the road. I never before dealt with an auto repair service that did not have a mechanic on premises and they did not know when there will be one. As a result, I had to have it towed elsewhere and paid a fortune doing so. I dont know how their tire and break services are. Just dont bring your car there if you need emergency repair.

Came in for an oil change and wow were they fast. the workers were so kind and gave such great information. they even answered all my questions and gave me amazing prices for tires!! the manager i believe his name was charlie was so delightful and helped me in every way he could! i highly recommend this place by far the best mechanics shop and best mavis ive been too!! 10/10 recommend!!
I stopped by yesterday and asked Charlie if they could do an oil change and alignment but he said he was to busy. How long a wait would it be if I wait. About 45 minutes he said.At home I made an online appointment for 1:00pm today. Scheduled it for a wheel alignment and oil change.I received this appointment number 415239I arrive at 12:50 advise Charlie I have a 1:00 appointment. Charlie asks my name, searches, no you’re not here. Charlie asked for more information, searches and can’t find it. I give Charlie the the “appointment number”. Not sure if he ever found anything.Charlie says well there’s an alignment on the rack and then this guy is before you.I asked Charlie why this happened. The discussion went south from there.Charlie should not be conducting business with customers. He seems to have no respect for his job.

The worst customer service you can get, left my car 10am in the morning for the tyre valve replacement. Came back to pick up around 5pm. They havent even touch the car and argued over it instead of fixing. Had to use spare to go to a gas station. They fixed everything within 45min. Wish I can give them 0 for their attitude.
NEVER come here for an inspection! I was fed a BS story about how my rotors where shot. When I asked for the micrometer measurements (the correct way to tell if a rotor wont pass inspection) I was told we dont have one of those. When I asked who the licensed inspector was, I was told you dont have to worry about that. This place does not deserve to have an inspection license.

Been here a couple of times and they are pretty fairly priced and they don’t try to put one over on you like some other auto shops. They seem to genuinely care about their customers and do their best to accommodate them as much as possible. My car has always been serviced quickly and professionally and I would not hesitate to go back to them for any future work.
Brought my tire in to get fixed. So far Very Good impressions. Staff at the counter are very professional and respectful. Witnessed staff deal with an irate customer with the highest level of professionalism without reaching the same level. All this while waiting for the customer to come down from his high. The issue was resolved after a few min. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because the wait is a lil longer than used to but, no where near as long as other companies in the area. Do not hesitate to bring your car to this location.

Called to make an appointment for inspection, got email confirmation with order number. Got there in 13 minutes and was told they can’t do it the guy who does inspection is leaving for the day. They saw the appointment is confirmed in the system but still refused to service. So much for no appointment needed because they don’t honor their appointment!

Always great service and great prices. Have had brakes and shocks done here and MUCH cheaper then the dealership. Same thing with a set if new Michelin tires. Ordered for me and installed next day. Better price than I could find on any website. Everyone has been super nice, car is always done fast and they call right away to let you know! Highly recommend!
Reasonabke tire prices but be careful, this shop recommends unnecesary services and has lied about the condition of my car to sell services. Always get a 2nd opinion before buying services from this establishment.
Wonderful people and very helpful. I always buy tires from here. When you go just ask for Cathy. She is a very nice lady and will do whatever it takes to get what you need done. Always will explain what is involved and manage your expectation before and during the process.
This Mavis is awesome I always have a good experience when I go to this shop. I told Booker behind the counter that I had to be at work and I still wanted to get food shopping in before work, they had me in and out in record time for an oil change and wheel alignment thank you everybody at this Mavis. You guys rock!
Very disappointed in their price quotes the give you recently went there for 2 tires to be mounted with a 4 wheel sling meant Got a call that my front axel boots were torn and recommend replacement quoted a price of 200 each axel when I showed up to pick up car and was told bill was 923.30 what a bait and switch deal never to return and totally unsatisfied

Probably one of the worst mechanic experiences I’ve had. Went in to fix a slow leak for a single tire and get my inspection done and it took two hours. While sitting there the staff did nothing but berate other customers after they left, made personal phone calls on the work phone, charged another customer twice for oil change service, and had another customer complaining about how they didn’t align the tires properly. Then they tried to push me to get new brakes, which I know are fine. After declining, Cathy, went in the back and loudly made disparaging comments. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.
A friend and I both needed some tire help and went to this Mavis. She had a tire that had been patched twice and wasnt holding, and I needed my tires rotated. Booker was fantastic. He made the whole process so easy and comfortable. Booker correctly patched her tire and got my tires rotated no problem. This is a very affordable place for tire maintenence.
DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could give this place a 0 I would. I called an made an appointment to have snow tires put on. I show up and they tell me “corporate cancelled the appointment”. I received no phone call or an explanation as to why. Then they tell me they don’t even have the tires in stock. They call other places, find tires and I leave happy right? WRONG. I call back at 3 pm to check on the status because I was there at 10 in the morning. They proceed to tell me they didn’t get the right size tires, they don’t have the tires, they weren’t even looking to find other tires and I GOT NO PHONE CALL. When I asked them if they were going to continue to look before they close or come get my car they said “come get your car”.Worst service I have EVER had. DO NOT GO HERE!!

My 2017 Honda Accord with 16 thousand miles I brought it to Charlie the manager the car made grinding noise in drivers front he said I needed brakes and Rotors picked the car up still making noise brought it back the next day said it was the backing plate after $340.00 for brakes car is still making noise I have 4 cars that I have bought tires from Mavis I will never go back there again p.s.called the main office to complain they said district manager will call me never any phone call from district manager I guess they are going to sweep it under the rug

Amazing is the word for this place. I came in 1 hour before close I unfortunately couldnt get there sooner and I needed new tires and they not only said no problem but then also did my rear brakes. Everyone was so nice and friendly and I got a great price:-)
First time that I brought my car to Mavis this afternoon (because there was a nail stuck in one of my tires). If I can rank the quality of service, pricing, and how smooth my car runs now-it would be out of 100%! I only had to wait about a half hour-45 minutes. Luckily, they still took care of me, even though they were very close to closing. I was also greatly appreciative that they allowed me to keep my belongings stored in a safe/cool area. Lastly, I was happy that they notified me of the additional issues that were wrong with my car. Thank you so much again to the Mavis staff of Bethpage. I will certainly pass on my experience at your shop to all of my family members, friends, and colleagues.

These people lie and cheat to get your money anyway possible. They are not interested in fixing your car at all. I took the day off today to get tires put on my van. The manager, whose name was Bill, told me to call at 1 oclock and they would get me in by 3 oclock. Although I ordered my tires on Wednesday and tried to make an appointment for today (Friday)the manager told me dont worry about it just come in and well take care of you. After calling I was told they had a line of cars and that I should have dropped my car off like I was told to. However I was never told to drop off my car or I would have. Long story short didnt get tires put on my van. I called the corporate office who told me to go to the East Meadow store and that they would give me a discount for my inconvenience. When I got to the East Meadow store they refused to give me a discount and said they knew nothing about it even though the woman behind the desk whose name was Liz told me the name of the customer service representative who I had spoken to. Her name was Kelsey. I would never give Mavis any of my money again. I would recommend trying to make your own tires in your backyard before going to this company. You would probably have a better chance at satisfaction. My experience with this company was horrible. Big thumbs down from me.
Stopped in for some work on my new car. Chris was very pleasant and knowledgeable about what I should be keeping up with and maintaining! Rest of staff was friendly as well. Definitely going to be my spot for all my car needs!
My husband stopped in and got an approx. price for four tires, he wanted to spend around $400.. the guy said they could do that.. when be brought my car in they wanted to charge him $650. They tried to upsell unnecessary services. Told him I would need an alignment, not true! My car drives straight as an arrow, it did NOT need that. They should be ashamed of themselves. If I could give them Zero stars I would. He got my tires installed & balanced later that day at Tire Pros, who did a fabulous job at a very reasonable price!
I came here today thinking that all of my brakes were shot but was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were still fine and my car passed inspection. This is why I have been coming here for over 20 years. They never do unnecessary work and always treat you fairly.
Went there for a flat tire. Was told they would call me with what they found. Thought for sure they would say I had to get a new tire. Was pleasantly surprised when they called said they could just repair the tire for $16 and they also let me know I had a small slash on the opposite tire but it wasnt a problem yet. Recommended new tires but was not pushy at all.
Charlie was super-helpful and made sure all my questions were answered he got me my car back and everything came out great this whole staff and place is awesome and friendly
Terrible Service! Stay Away! I have been giving them business for many years but after today no way! I made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and brake check (which i purchased from them), the day before via online for 10am. Arrived on time and they told me cant do the oil change tanks are full. He said i was the only one scheduled for an oil change and because no one had picked up their waste oil they couldnt do it. I asked them why didnt anyone call me to let me know? They had time to call me. All Joe and another worker said well sorry cant do it . I had a right to be upset and they didnt seem to care at all. Not even volunteer a solution to somehow rectify the situation or say come back and well make it up somehow? Just RUDE, ARROGANT, TERRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE ! They will not get my business anymore including the other 3 cars we have purchased tires for. MAVIS CORPORATE WAKE UP! YOU ARE LOSING CUSTOMERS.
Made an appointment for 9am to get 4 new tires and an alignment. Showed up for the appointment at 9 and was told I would have to leave the car until 2pm. Came back at 2pm and the car still hadnt been touched. This place is a disaster. I took my car and went 200 yards down the road to Tire Discount Tire Pros. They took care of my car in under 40 minutes and their prices were cheaper! I will never go to Mavis again. Never Ever.
I took my SUV to Mavis for an inspection. Since the car has almost 60,000 miles on it, I told them to be sure to check the brakes. They called to tell me that the front pads were almost due to be changed, but everything else looked good. I dont like to take any chances with brakes, so I told them to change the pads. They changed the pads only, and I was on my way. I have used this Mavis location for over ten years, and they have been reliable and honest. I recommend them to my kids and friends.
Customer service is nice, but I bought brakes and rotors there in December I went back in June for tire rotation and alignment. Told them my brakes make a screeching noise when I brake they said probably brake dust, but for 8 months now. They are just cheap brakes and the sound is very loud whenever I brake. Wouldnt use again ever..I was told to email them, did and never heard back. less than a year and Im have to replace brakes. horrible sounding...
Mavis refused to honor a refund for tires that didnt live up to their guarantee. After visiting the shop multiple times, they refused to help and were incredibly rude. With so many options on the same street I would recommend taking your tire business elsewhere. I ended up going down the block to House of Tires and they refunded me $70 each tire, where Mavis refused. Theyre clearly more interested in selling than maintaining positive customer relationships that result in repeat business.

I would get my tires replaced here but nothing else done. I brought my car here when I was having problems. They told me I needed brake pads and rotors. I had them do the work. Everything seemed okay afterwards. Last month I was having more problems with my car and I took it to a mechanic. The mechanic told me that whoever put the rotors on, put them on wrong. So I had to pay more because of this mistake.
I brought my Jeep for oil change and they left drain plug loose. I lost half of the oil while I was driving to go to PA. Thanks God that drain plug did not come completely out while I was driving. It could have seized my engine on a freeway. Very dangerous. I will never come to this place for any service and will NOT recommend any one to go there for any service.

Had to bring my car in twice to fix a slow leak in the tire. Took 3+ hours to fix it each time?!! Ppl working there don’t seem to care much at all.
Took my car in due to brake issues. Was hesitant because I dont typically bring my car to big mechanic chains. Guy call me up and says I need new calipers, brakes and rotors and that after all the discounts he could give me itd still cost me $900 I told him politely that I was coming to get my car. Brought my car to my regular mechanic, turns out calipers are fine and the brakes and rotors will only run me $300 but I do need front tires. Howd they miss that one. My advice, focus on helping your customers by providing what they need, not just the numbers the big bosses want you to produce. Be weary of this or any Mavis.

If I could I would put negative 1 star I would. I brought my sons car in for a alignment. A couple of hours later they told me the cant do it because it needs a inner tie-rod. They can fix it for around $200. I told Id fix it and took the car away and purchased all new inner and outer tie rods ($140) but when I got under the car I couldnt find anything wrong with the tie-rods. One of the links was broken (a $20 part that took me 15min to change). These guy are thiefs. DO NOT take your car to them!

If I could leave 0 stars I would, bunch of crooks. Theyll try to tell you that you need things fixed on your car that arent even broken. Theyre all about the money and the sales, not fixing your car or helping you. Run far away and find yourself a real Mechanic thats trustworthy and honest.

They called me up & explained that my rotors needed to be changed as they were rusted (they were a bit short with me on the phone, maybe they lacked the words to explain my cars issues to me or didnt want to deal with me because I was so enthusiastic to spend an extra $150+ dollars)... I asked about any specials &/or coupons & the price didnt change... So, I said I would pick up my car...After taking 20 minutes to call a few other shops I found a MUCH BETTER price at a different Mavis... & this locations manager Joe was unwilling to price match... So, I took my business elsewhere & saved myself $50.I would suggest you shop around elsewhere too & save yourself some time & money also!

Dropped my car off For brakes.they never called me to tell me what’s going on after 3 hours I called to see what was going on and they said I need rotors it would be 275 then when I get my car the guy behind the counter says 275 plus tax 385 when I ask how that’s possible he says 80 dollars in labor I would think when given the price of the job labor should be included

Used to be great here. I dont know what happened. The counter guy is an idiot. My car was done sitting outside for a half an hour. Finally I said something and he just said oh then walked out into the shop and left me standing there. What the f***???? They did the same thing to my dad when he went there too!!!
Brought my truck to PepBoys for an oil change. Was told I was close to needing rear brakes. Had used the Mavis in Rockville Center with no issues in the past, since this one is closer to my new house I figured they were all the same. THEY ARE NOT. The reason I came here is because of the $59.95 special. Well it turns out Sean (manager) and his staff just shake people down. Got a call directly from Sean saying I needed new rotors all around and needed to change the pads in the front as well. Told him I would rather just do the rear brakes, he said you couldnt do the pads without the rotors. Wound up basically forcing me to do all brakes and rotors all around for about $500. Went back to PepBoys and they said all of my rotors were fine, even showed me the mechanics log and that Mavis hosed me. Be warned, These guys will shake you down. If your going to go to a Mavis, go to Tom in Rockville Center, hes honest unlike these greasy dirtbags. Im extremely disappointed that Mavis allows these guys to run this type of Dog and Pony show and takes advantage of hardworking customers who trust in the Mavis brand.
They put my spare tire back under the car wrong. Never had problems before. Always good service. But the last couple of times not good.
HORRIBLE!!!! My friend and i went there while she got her tires and rotors done. Its been almost 2 weeks and already, she is having problems. just the other day, we were driving and when she stepped on the break, it sounded like liquid and the breaks werent working at all.DO NOT go here. find another location but this one is by far the worst.THEY ALSO WOULDNT SHOW HER THE DAMAGE DONE TO THE CAR. THEY REFUSED TO SHOW HER ANYTHING AND CONTINUED TO DO THE BREAKS AND ROTORS.SCAMMMMM!!!!I also overheard the employees talking about a guy named Mark who was recently fired because for over 4 years he was overcharging customers and having them pay in cash, then pocketing the money. so whos to say that the other ones arent doing the same. IT TOOK THEM 4 YEARS TO FIGURE OUT HE WAS DOING THIS!!!!PLEASE SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!!SHE IS OUT OVER $400 OVER SOMETHING THAT IS NOT WORKING AFTER ONLY 4 WEEKS
Had an issue at first with being told one price for a job that was different than what I asked. But I have to say they impressed me with there customer service and how well they knew there stuff. Would recommend to anyone and everyone
It took about an hour and a half, they were super busy today. I typically dont mind waiting. My only confusion was the appt vs walk-in and having to wait just as long even though you had an appt. But happy with the service, no problems.
Brought 2 bad tires to Mavis and they replaced them very fast, didnt think they would have similar tires in stock because they were low profile high speed tires but they did, the techs are very knowlegable and work professionally highly recommended
Got a flat on the gcp called mavis and spoke to benny he ordered me a new tire it was there the next day. Stopped in had the tire mounted up and was finished in ten mins and off I went.
Charlie at the front desk was super helpful and honest. We need more people in the business like him.
Its okay prices can be high at times compared to other mechanic shops price you pay going to a corporate store

Took my truck ther 05 yukon previously they mounted and balanced 4 tires and did my rear brakes today i dropped it off for the rear brake shims rubbing my rotots they told me i need trailing arms and didnt fix their own messed up brake job .... also i requested my tires re balanced they didnt do that but charged me i requested a oil change they made a mess under my hood and didnt top my fluids off ...spoke to cust service and still havent heard back from the regional manager kathy and her grease monkey should not have jobs ...do not go there at all costs and to top it off there is a huge greasy hand print on the hood of my truck that i just had washed 2 days ago !!!!!!

Dropped a tire off to get patched at noon on Monday. Noon on Tuesday and the tire is still not patched, even after a call and they said it was ready.

2022-02-27Second time I’ve been to this location only to be told something completely different at the shop when I got there. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Both times I booked with call center for emergency repairs and told they could get me in and out the same day. Both times I went, the shop told maybe by the end of the day the next day as the call center doesn’t know that the shop doesn’t have enough techs on site. It was a simple mount and balance as I needed a tire replaced but wanted 4 new ones to keep them the same brand and wear.

2022-04-08I love this specific Mavis ! Unfortunately I’ve had my share of tire issues as most of us have experienced since Covid and pothole city ! Charlie and the team of experts here are most accommodating and strive for exceptional service! They are unbelievable every time I need a tire repair or change ! Service with a smile and I love that they are reliable and go out of the way to help the customers ! I give them a 10 👍

2022-06-26Had an appointment for 1PM today to get four new tires. Was told it was going to be a 2 hour wait. Called at 3 and it still wasnt being worked on. Got there right before it closed at 5 and my car was still in the lot. I took my keys and got out of there. Management is making excuses for their mishandling of employees and tools. Mavis corporate really needs to find some new management for this location and possibly a pay raise for mechanics so that they actually want to show up for work.

2022-06-10I ordered 2 tires on Wednesday. I was told they would be there Thursday. Friday at 8am I brought the car to Mavis for the install. At 10:30 am they told me one tire never showed up but its on the way. Its now 3:30 pm and the tire still isnt there. Never again.

2021-12-29I went to Mavis on 12/29/21 to get an oil change. The place was very clean, the floors were clean, and didn’t feel like a dingy mechanic like some places do. I had spoken to Christian who I believe was the assistant manager of the day and a lady at the front desk but I forgot her name. They were both the nicest people and super accommodating when it came to prices and explaining to me what my best options were. I would 100% reccommend this location to anyone and I am definitely going back.

2021-08-26Came in today to get work done on my car and was helped by Charlie and he was absolutely amazing.He was super friendly and and so helpful. He went over everything that I needed done and in detail so I could understand what was going on. I dropped my car off and He kept me in the loop on what was happening and was quick with my car and had it back to me as quickly as he could. He really went above and beyond to help me which was so wonderful and made this experience even that much more great. I was very happy with the service I was provided and the job that was done. I will definitely recommend family and friends to this location and to Charlie whenever they need work done on there cars.
