Caught a flat, Anthony and Todd were so quick and informative to help with my situation. Definitely recommend coming to Mavis and working with them! Got me out here fast and was satisfied with the work done.
Arrived to a jam packed parking lot on a Sunday morning. Went in and received a friendly greeting and was able to get an oil change without an appointment. Todd was courteous to all despite the chaos and didn’t try to upsell me (or anyone from what I heard). The waiting area is small but clean as is the restroom.
These guys were amazing! Beyond nice and flexible to help me and patch my tire when I got a flat 2 hours into my drive to NC from Syracuse. I wish I lived closer - I’d def. Make this location my go-to!

If you find the rate of State Inspection is too low to justify inspection work and hours then please either stop or cancel the service or deal the matter with DMV .It’s not fair to look for extra repair or so called fixing works and loading it on the customer to compensate the rate .Some customers are adroit enough to catch your intent. It will give them a bad taste which doesn’t go with the reputation of Mavis . I am not going to avail your service in my life . It’s my pledge .
Matt has a big attitude. He spoke very rude. I reached at 8:54 am, while dropping the car I specifically told him I have to go to city for Blood work of my wife. The manager said the work would be done in an hour. I enquired after 1 hour 10 minutes. He bluntly says, “It’s not fixed, take your car, if you are in that hurry”. Felt like he is my boss and I’m not his customer. Learn some customer service dude and have some human value. You will realize the annoyance when you need to take your family to hospital and somebody gives you this type of attitude.
I love MAVIS they are so helpful and understanding. Matt was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. Matt kept a smile on my face the whole time during my wait with my children. Excellent service!!!!
I called at 9:00am July 11th 2022 the Main St Location Binghamton NY. I was given an appointment for 1:00 pm by Todd. When I arrived, he was hanging out back smoking. He told me he couldnt do it today or even 2 days later. He was very confrontational. I went to Mavis on Oakdale Rd. and dealt with. He was so nice and respectful and got me right in. The mechanics were amazing. Tim explained everything to me without being condescending. Mavis in Binghamton NY.....take some tips from them!!!
Brought in our mazda for an inspection. They were outnumbered and exhausted but despite the pressure, they were able to get us in and out quickly and easily. I appreciate the effort Todd and Anthony demonstrated to help us out

I went in for snow tires and Todd helped me pick out the best ones for my situation and ordered them for me. When I went to get them put on turns out there was some bad parts in my back wheel wells. My car, being problematic as usually, decided to put forth challenges with those fixes. Todd helped bring the price to something that fit my budget and kept me updated on my cars repairs. Even though everything took longer than expected I got nothing but respect and consideration from the workers.

Todd and his crew have always done a great job helping me keep my cars running and stopping like they should. I followed him when he was sent to Front Street and followed him back to Main Street. Always easy to work with, always getting me back on the road quickly and making sure I have the service work and inspections that I need done correctly. I came to this mavis thinking I need new tires and they checked my tires and found a nail in my tire fixed it and charged me under 30 dollars I absolutely love them they didn’t over charge me and being a single mom with a baby on the way I was hoping I didn’t have to spend a lot of money and they were completely honest with me I recommend them 100% for all car questions and anything related to cars 😂 thank you again magus (Todd) he’s awesome you all are awesome thank you again and I got a free breakfast burrito 😂 can’t go wrong with that 👍🏼

Had a low tire and decided to try a can of fix a flat and only proceeded to let more air and get dirty, lol. So I gimped up the road to Mavis where they patched my tire in record time, and at a price that I thought I misheard because it was so low. Quick and reasonable.

Had a tire with slow leak and took it to Mavis on Front Street Binghamton NY. What a great experience! Todd took my information and fixed the tire and was the best customer service person I have dealt with in a very long time. He is very polite and explained what the situation was in the tire and it was done in just an hour. All their bays were full up but somehow they fit it in. Very reasonable repair too. So nice to have a place close to home that you can trust. If you care about great honest service then call Mavis. They have great prices on tires as well.
Although I didn’t have an appointment I came in after work for a oil change and they were able to take my car right away without any issues. They were fast, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be coming back here if anything else needs to be done to my car.

Todd was very informative and cordial. I went there for 4 tires on my 2020 Ram 2500. Everyone was nice. Likely will go there again for tires on my 2nd gen Ram when needed simply because of the people that work there.
After being told I needed new brakes at another shop, I brought my Subaru to Mavis for a second opinion. Todd was incredibly helpful and showed me exactly where my brakes were starting to wear. I greatly appreciated his honesty in telling me I didnt actually need to replace my brakes yet. When it comes time to replace them, I wont be taking my car anywhere other than Mavis!

Mavis has been where I go for car service when I’ve needed a fix. They have the most reasonable prices and the staff is very helpful. Where do I even start??? I live 2 ½ hours away from Binghamton and I bent the rim on my MINI convertible. Of course I have the rare black ones. I cant tell my husband who luckily was out of town on work. Out of the goodness of his heart my new best friend TODD looked everywhere for a cheap one. He called a junk yard, he called a friend, he called a friend of a friend, he looked on Facebook Marketplace. No one had one. He spent at least an hour answering the phone talking to customers and looking for my rim at the same time. When he looked online a used one was $250. So $250 plus my $200 tire. I had to do it. TODD order my rim and put it on the day it came despite being super busy and short staffed. TODD went above and beyond. I will forever be grateful to my hard working new best friend TODD and the guys at Mavis.
Took longer then I was told due to the call center being in New Jersey but they tried to get me in and out as quick as possible. They kept me informed before doing any work and even helped me out with slight discount since it was an unexpected issue while on vacation. Would recommend them.

We had two blow outs on our 30 ft. travel trailer/camper while traveling through Binghamton NY on interstate 81 . We called Mavis in need of 4 matching tire as all were blowing at the same time from dry rot. We Called from the highway via cell , we removed our tires left the camper on the highway, got them to their shop where they had 4 new tires for us and mounted them all within an hour before closing. Saved the day!

Todd and Matt were friendly and took the time to talk with me about the situation. Well worth my drive to go there instead of the location closer to home.

When I got my new tires Matt and Shawn did a great job taking care of me. They mounted and balanced my tires with care and professionalism. Then I had my truck aligned and they test drove it to make sure everything was set as it should be. I had a great experience with them. I world recommend the Main Street Binghamton store to anyone.
Unfortunately I lost the catalytic converter on my CA emissions Mercury Sable. I knew it would be a major cost, but they were great in explanation and understanding. They wired up the remaining rear section so that it wouldnt be damaged since I had to wait a couple of days until it was delivered. They mechanic who was certified to install it even came in on his day off.
They are very good with communication, and honest about how long your car will get done. They are also very professional even when dealing with irritable and frustrated customers.

Brought my car in today after a HORRIBLE experience with the front St location. Todd and John and crew went through the car and in 15 minutes discovered the issue that Dennis and his crew did not properly install my brakes and never tighten the calipers. After going back there 3x they still couldnt get it right. I Highly recommend these guys and will be coming back to do more business!
When I arrived at the shop it was busy. The manager took care of me right away. While sitting in the waiting area I noticed how pleasant he was too all of the customers. I was also impressed by the quality of work done to my car. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.

Came here because tires were leaking. An employee came to take a look. Employee looked uninterested and doesnt seem to care about fixing the leak. He said that the valves were loose. He tightened it yet the problem was not fixed. Not sure if he was having a bad day, or if he just wanted a quick way to get a tip, or was just simply incompetent in his job. I do not recommend this place.Went to Southern Tier Auto Care Inc. down the street instead. Employee was very professional, nice and interested. Fixed the problem in a very short amount of time. Very competent.
My daughter is currently a student at Binghamton, many miles from home. Her car was making an odd noise. She stopped in to Mavis, they took a look at her car and determined one of her belts was loose, tightened it up for her and sent her on her way within minutes. NO CHARGE ! Who does this anymore.......Thank you so much Matt and all of you at Mavis Discount Tire. You have won a customer for life !!!!
Great place I’m not from the area at all I’m from Mass and my fiancé and I were on our way to PA and the brake line broke and had to drive with no brakes 2 miles to get there which no big deal it needed to get done we were in less then 30 mins and done with in an hr great crew fast and efficient and very polite for being mechanic lmao decent price as well knowing we were at there mercy we got it done at a great price thank you the two guys who help us get back in the road would recommend

As for affordable mechanical needs, this MAVIS location on Main St nearest Floral Ave in Binghamton is hands-down the best in the business. Todd and Matt worked tirelessly to make sure my vehicle was in excellent working order before driving it out of the shop-even when it meant staying after hours to finish the job. Pricing is fair but customer service goes above and beyond, here. Other competitors wanted more than double and were taking advantage of my lack of mechanical knowledge. I use MANY MAVIS locations, but my homesite MAVIS is where my heart is. THANKS GUYS for an excellent job well done!
I took my car there on a Tuesday because I have a flat tire. Nick call me and inform me that the flat cannot be fixed. I went in there about an hour later. I told him (nick) that I am interested in buying four tires. He told me he’s going to research it and called me back. I called later in the evening and he told me that he was busy and he’s going to call me back. It’s Friday and no one called me back.These guys operate this corporate store like it’s there personal garage. So unprofessional
I used to take my old car here and when I had an issue with my newer one I knew I would only take it to Mavis. Todd is great and really helps explain what’s going on in my car. For someone who doesn’t know much about cars, it’s super helpful and makes me feel taken care of!

My first experience at Mavis was two weeks ago when my girlfriend needed to get her car inspected. Matt was able to get us right in the very next day. So, when I needed my brakes serviced, I decided to try them again. And I’m so happy I did. This time I was assisted by Todd, who was phenomenal from the start. I dropped my car off, and he called me a little while later to tell me that my calipers were shot and would need to be replaced. Naturally, I wasn’t happy with the news, but gave Todd the go ahead to replace them. He called me back less than an hour later and told me that they would be able to repair my old calipers to save me the cost of replacing them. It would have been very easy for him to go ahead and charge me the additional $400 for the new calipers, as I had already approved the work to be done. Todd’s professionalism, customer service, communication, friendliness, and above all else, his honesty have earned this shop a loyal customer. Thanks again, Todd!

Had a reservation for an oil change.....had to leave my car for over 2 hrs. Good price though, so I can live with it. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this shop to friends.
TL;DR= Get quotes in person. In the shop only. Question all charges...Called for a quote to put a 16 tire on a rim (not on the vehicle). Quoted ~$50+ tire and ~20+ labor on the phone. Arrived and without a quote number they did not honor anything. Tire not in stock. Tried to upsell a computer alignment (mind you...it was a spare rim I walked into the shop).So, only 2 stars due to bait & switch + 1hr wait + typical profiteering/up selling nothing these shops are known for.
Needed to have a tire plugged. These guys did it on the spot and free of charge. Would definitely recommend service at this location. Thank you very much guys. And Vaughn and Dirk

Verry displeased with this location. Brought my vehicle in for state inspection and had 3 problems. One of the problems was my 3rd break light. When the technician went to remove the rear panel to check light he had problems with one of the bolts, he then proceeded to force the panel up breaking the mounts for the bolts.I pointed this out when I was told about the issues that failed my vehicle.I am guessing the manager (matt)? Came over and asked what the problem was. After explaining it to him he proceeded to say well whats the problem. I did get angry with them at this point and said that I brought my vehicle in to be inspected and not to be broken because of someone not doing their job right.His reply was well you can go buy the new part and we wont charge you for installing it.Considering they are the ones who broke the mounts, requiring complete replacement of the whole assembly instead of just the light pod this is a huge insult.When my son and I went to get the replacement parts the rear assembly ripped off the vehicle in the wind ripping the lines for the rear washer out at the same time.After the re-inspection i will never use this location again. Most likely I will not use any Mavis locations any longer

Staff is very friendly here. Got a flat 3 days ago and I needed a tire fast. I called all over and most tire shops were saying it was going to take 4 days. Didnt have time for that. Called up Mavis 2 days ago for a specific tire and was told they would have it for me the very next day. And they were right. Got in yesterday morning, took roughly 25 minutes and all was good. A little below the price other places offered as well. Unfortunate I used this place as a last measure, should have been the first. Sticking with Mavis.

Needed a flat trailer tire fixed. Everybody was busy but Shawn he just went on lunch. He took the time out of his lunch to look at my tire. And found out it just had a nail in it. Got it fixed and on my way in a short amount of time. Places nees more employees like Shawn.

These guys really took care of us. We had a brake caliper come loose on a ride home from Syracuse to Baltimore on a Sunday, and Marc fit us in and got us back on the road, without it costing us an arm and a leg. Without the guys at Mavis hooking us up, we could have been stuck overnight. It’s good to know that there are people out there who believe in being kind, because it encourages further kindness.
I was stranded in Binghamton after my tire went flat near Hancock on Saturday, July 4th. I called Mavis to try and buy a complete tire with rim to put on the car that was still on the highway an hour away. I spoke with Todd, who told me he could not sell me that, but if I could get the tire to him, he would be able to fix that. Even though they were backed up and had already worked through their lunch, Todd dropped what he was doing and fixed my tire himself in about five minutes. We were very pleased with the quick response in getting new tires right after a major snow storm. Staff was very helpful and looked at our vehicle for any other concerns too. They didnt find anyyhing of concern except for a damaged wind shield wiper. Gladly go back!

Im not sure if this guy is the manager or supervisor...but he was rude as soon as I pulled in the lot. He told me I couldnt park in front of the door. I had a 9 oclock appointment and its cold outside, I was just trying to find out where I should leave my car! But rather than asking , he told me off like I was a child ...I would never give a place like that my business!!!! And believe me I would spread the news and recommend that no one goes there!Not sure why anyone wants to treat people like that!? There are many other shops I couldve went to.Customer service 👎👎👎👎
Good quick service not rip off pricing. Many places try to stick you for a lot of things you really dont need for your car this place took care of a nail in my tire and didnt try to add any unnecessary services like Monroe has in the past. Recommended highly especially for women and young man other places wood try 2 pad bill 4. Will go back
Went in for an inspection, failed safety for a crack in my windshield and 2 tires that needed to be switched. They did the tires there and Todd recommended a guy for my windshield. Went back and it passed. It’s great there definitely would recommend
THE WORST AUTO SHOP I’ve been to. The people there lack common courtesy. I think they expected me to not know about cars because I’m a foreign student. I love cars and have many auto mechanics as friends. I can safely say that this place has the worst customer service I have ever encountered at an auto shop. They charged me for an inspection that failed. Which is fine. But when I asked them why didn’t they tell me the problem before failing my inspection, so that I at least have a chance to fix it. Their response was to blame me and say that they had mentioned these points to me when I brought the car in. They never did such a thing. Even more than this whole saga. I’m mostly disappointed at the condescending manner in which they treated me. Even after I bought tires from them. As a comment to the owner, you should make sure that your mechanics learn how to treat a customer. As for me, I won’t set foot at this place again. There is another mavis location in Johnson city that is much better at treating customers.

Didn’t change my oil or oil filter but charged me. Had it checked right after and the oil was burned and the filter was black after less than 10 miles after the change. You will get ripped off and upsold here. Also told me i needed a tie rod but after replaced the problem wasnt fixed then had to fix something else.
I brought my moms car in for an inspection and they told me she needed 2 tie rods replaced to pass. Took it elsewhere and turns out it only needed a single tie rod end and then it passed. They tried to pressure me to make a snap decision under duress over the phone saying they cant leave it on the lift all day and if they bring it down they have to fail it. Pretty grimy. We wont be using this chain and especially this location ever again.
I went there two weeks ago for new tires and rotors as well as new break pads. They did a wonderful job on the car and treated me right. I highly recommend Mavis Discount Tires!
I showed up at 515 these guys dont close till 6.there were 4 guys standing outside smoking a cigarette(mind you its the 3rd time i went there in one day). I asked if they could do an inspection the answer i got was sorry theres less than 1 hour left and our machine dont wont work when theres less than an hour till we close or something like that. Im not ignorant an inspection takes ten min. Im extremely irritated and this is ridiculous. They are gonna lose a customer. Apparently they dont care anyway

Ive had very good experiences at several Mavis Tires and this was no exception. The technicians here are very friendly and very willing to explain what was wrong with your vehicle and how theyre fixing it. There is a waiting room and WiFi. There are also some restaurants and other businesses nearby if you have to wait for them to work on your vehicle.

This Location is the best. I went in after i tried everything to fix the hole in my muffler they gave me a fair price and even let me take a before and after picture pretty nice people i am going back to get my motor mount fixed then some other little things that are starting to get on my nerves. Thanks Mavis You guys rock.
Ive used these guys for years. Im always like its just tirers no big deal where u get them but Todd and Jim have proven that wrong time and time again. Today i can in because i was loosing air. After looking it over they found it was from my rim rusting and thankfully nothing in my tire. They dedusted the rim for me and put some extra goo on it to seal it up to hopefully hold till I can order a new rim monday.
I use to go to mavis tire in Rochester, that guy used to give me good price. I went to this place, mechanic said I needed new front brakes, I said okay. Then other guy came and said I will new rotors as well. And gave a quote of 280 something. I told him I paid $150 for rear breaks on my car. Then we agreed that I will get the rotors and he will charge me labor only on that. I decided to repair brakes by myself. And surprise the pads have almost 50% life on them. Very disappointed.

CHOP SHOP! Got a muffler done here ONLY because it was warrantied here. Big MISTAKE! It was a little over $100 for labor. They hacked it bad. Two days latter it was rattling so bad I took it back. They said they fixed it. Upon leaving the shop I lost my breaks on the way home and the noise was no better. I took to our useual garage. While they were fixing the broken break line they informed me the muffler that was installed was to large and make shifted on. $400+ later I had another new muffler correctly installed along with new break line (by our regular garage)plus the $100 for the muffler that was only a couple days old. Heres the hack job they did.

Great service ... had a slow leaky tire they pulled it off found two leaks plugged one and reseated the bead for the other in & out in no time .... highly recommend them
Worst place ever! Brought in my jeep to get an oil change because my husband who is jeep knowledgeable didnt have time to do it. Well not sure if they took advantage of me because after bringing my jeep home it started to drip. Brought my jeep back they said a seal in between the engine needed to be changed a few thousand dollars. I did not do it my husband decided to check it out on his own. OLD OIL FILTER STILL IN PLACE OLD SEAL STILL ON TOP. THEY NEVER TOUCHED THE OIL!!!! Not to mention i was charged $60 for synthetic oil change. JUST AWFUL NEVER AGAIN . RIP OFFS
Bad service. They damaged my tire and they blamed my tire. I took my tire to many garages and they say the first service made your tire worst. Unfortunately I charged too much because their mistake. I tried them also before with bad service and much money.

These guys are crooks! Failed my inspection for rear tire tread depth and rear brakes. I saw on their desk when I went in to pick up my car: $750 scribbled across their merchant copy of my receipt. They were going to try to charge me $750 for two tires and rear rotors and pads. I could get the work done at the stealership for less!But wait, theres more: Rear brakes are NOT a mandatory part of NYS inspection -- only one tire on the front axle has to be removed and its brakes examined. NYS also states that minimum tire tread is 1/16. I was told my rear tires were at 2/32 over the phone by Joe -- meaning that they were passing. When confronted about this at the checkout counter, he backpedaled and said they were actually 1/32. Asked for a second opinion at a shop up the street and they did not agree that the tires were inadequate.They also scraped my old inspection sticker off my dash so that I wouldnt have any proof of inspection at all. Probably to make me feel compelled to agree to $750 in needless repairs. Scraping a customers old sticker off even if they arent being given a new one is NOT standard operating procedure at any inspection station Ive ever patronized.These guys employ unscrupulous tactics to rob uninformed consumers. Never again, Mavis.
Had an appointment for a state inspection at 9am one day. First thing out of the guys mouth when I walked in was bring it back at 11. They didnt communicate that they were running behind beforehand or anything and then they were rude about it. Also none of the workers were wearing a mask in there.
This is the worst place u can take u car. I takey vehicle so they can do some work on it . I buy the parts i need and drop my car they give me a price after a few hours the guy call me telling me that he was going to charge me more because need more work that he was expecting . I say ok . When i went to pick my car the guy tells me the he couldnt finish the job . I took my car after a few day heard strage noises so i crawl under my car and for my surprice they didnt put all the parts i buy . Took it back and speak with the guy about it he ask me if i bring the parts .i have to bring the recive of all my parts so they can see the parts i brought them after that they couldnt find my parts so they end put in some cheap parts from western auto . When all parts i buy was moog brand . Very disappointing .
Mavis is decent tire shop as long as you go in get what you need and go other wise it can become a bit of a trying to sell you more then you need situation which no one wants. Bring your coupons and be ready for your purchase.
I went for an estimate on a brake job. The estimate did not take long at all. They were able to do the brake job within an hour. I will probably keep going to this place.

Do not go here if youre a woman or if English is your second language. I stood there and watch these guys disrespect a man that spoke broken English. They automatically think youre dumb and have no knowledge. Tried to charge me extra for made up issues for a simple tire exchange. Unfortunately you will get decent prices if youre a guy.
I drop my car off they told me about an hour for the inspection to finish. They didn’t call me for about an hour and a half and I decided to call to check on my car, they told me it was ready for pick up so I went to get my car only to find it they haven’t even touched it yet. I had to wait 30 45 minutes At the location while I’m late for work now. I am never coming back to this place again and would not recommend this place to any one.

I came in to Mavis on main street in Binghamton, for two tires and my front end squeaking one mechanic told me my shocks were bad but then another said to just grease up the front end and it should be ok. They did just that - greased up the front end. I have two very small children and commute back & forth to work. The front end is now shaking (after having tires put on) & the front end is still doing the SAME thing, squeaking. Very unprofessional and they dont seem to care that I have small kids i drive daily with in the car.

They always come out and explain everything in detail with what’s going on with anyones vehicle. 2022-06-04Im very skeptical about taking my vehicle to auto shops and use my own mechanics . I just dont trust most places. Every once in awhile I have to take a chance and this was one of those times. It seemed I had luck on my side this time though . Overall I had a good experience here and will feel a bit more at ease if I have to come back here. Ask for Sean, he seemed to have the customers good interest in mind. Wont try and sell you on sh$t you dont need.

2022-04-16Didnt have an appointment but the staff was able to fit me in for a new tire after I got a flat on the highway. Even though they were busy that had my car done in less than an hour. Great team and Todd was the friendliest 👍
