I needed help with my car after hitting something that looked like a brick on the road. They immediately found the problem and fixed it for me. I was so grateful. The people who work there are so nice and accommodating. They are the best service station in the area. I take all my cars there. Thank you Mavis of Fishkill.
Mavis tires helped me when I did not know what was going on with my tires. I had air put in by another service provider but Mavis took the time to see there was a nail. The price was right as well!!! I’ve been going here for many years. Everyone here is always friendly, professional, and super helpful. Most recently Drays helped me out with a few things needed for my car and offered many different and helpful options. I would highly recommend visiting Mavis in Fishkill
I went in today for a tire change and had such a wonderful experience! I was a somewhat difficult customer with a lot of questions and problems but they handled everything with such professionalism and kindness. I can’t recommend this place enough, these guys are heroes and I will be going here for every thing my car ever needs 😄 would give it 6 stars if I could!
My experience at Mavis in Fishkill was extremely refreshing! I went in apprehensively for an inspection on my vehicle that was overdue. Jake at the front desk got us in within an hour and scheduled our appointment for 1:30 pm. As soon as we got there, they took my car right in and started the inspection. I knew I had some problems with the car and was nervous that they were going to tell me the usual you need this, and this is broken and this needs to be replaced. I thought Id be taken advantage of because Im a woman who does not no much about cars and parts. As it turns out, Daren, the manager, came out and asked me to come with him to look at my car up on the lift. He actually showed me where my brakes were not even moving (back brake was seized up) and was stuck in place. He explained everything so I understood. More importantly, he showed me respect and was sympathetic when I explained I couldnt afford to get it fixed right then and there. I told him my son would be able to fix it, I just needed to know what I needed. He told me that although he couldnt pass my car, that he would not charge me for the analysis/evaluation. He told me what parts I need and, and that if my son couldnt do it in a reasonable time frame, that he would be happy to do the labor if I brought in the parts myself! He also said he would give me a break on the price in order to help me get it done quickly. Daren was so kind and understanding I was taken aback as was my daughter who was also with me for moral support. I just feel like he really cared about my situation and was willing to go above and beyond to help me. Thats rare these days. Im definitely going back to get my care inspected once my son does the work next week. And if my son cant do it, Im bringing it to Daren! Daren is a huge ASSET to your company, no question about it!
I have been a customer at Mavis Fishkill 6 or 7 years now. I live on the other side of the river but drive the extra distance to get to this shop because of the number of Master mechanics at the site. Most importantly, Darren and the crew have treated me like family over the years and I trust all my vehicles to their service as well as those vehicles of my family. My commute has me driving in excess of 50,000 miles a year and I am in constant need of service. Darren always finds ways to do high quality work for me while keeping a budget in mind. Additionally they do work that most other tire stores arent equipped to do such as the time a raccoon ran in front of my vehicle which just ruined my radiator and front end. Recommendations Ive gotten from the crew on tires for my vehicle have been spot-on and I am driving now on Mavis all season tires. Because I get major service at least once a month on each of my vehicles, I wont choose to go anywhere but Mavis Fishkill to take care of my cars. Also the 6 month promotional financing is helpful. As I have in the past I always recommend Mavis Fishkill to anyone needing service for their vehicle or a new set of tires.
I went to Mavis for my cars inspection. I had a warm, clean place to sit & wait. Plenty of chairs, the tv was on, it was bright and open. I was able to take off my mask & sit & eat my lunch without anyone sitting too close to me. Service was well done, no issues. Much appreciated to be taken in and have the appointment done within the time frame.
I had major issues with the front end of my car vibrating. The repair ended up being extensive and expensive. Mavis talked me through the repairs needed and the cost of it. I researched both and found Mavis to be right on target. They were able to repair my car and get me safely back on the road. My experience with them was excellent. This was not my first venture is looking to Mavis for help with my car. Each time their professionalism won the day. Thank you Mavis for always helping me.
The service is outstanding! I’ve used Mavis for quite some time now. Their customer service, is excellent. I was in a panic; running late for a very important event, and Matt was incredibly helpful and very kind. He assured me that they would get me in and out fairly quickly and they delivered. Matt was able to get me straight in for an inspection, tire rotation and oil change. As a courtesy they replaced my wind shield wipers and had me in and out. A few months prior to this, I had a flat tire and they took care of me immediately. I was just about to hit the road for a long 3 hour drive and I was driving on my rim at this point. I pulled right into Mavis and they repaired the tire promptly and efficiently. I recommend Mavis as a 5star auto repair shop. Top quality service across the board. Great customer service, kind, honest, and they have an amazing team of friendly talented employees. Thank you Mavis for the 5 star overall treatment.
I brought my car for an oil change (even made an appointment early in the week) at 8 AM and was informed they would call me when it was ready. I called back at 4 PM, still not done and was assured it would be finished by the end of the day. Never received a call and no one is answering (they are closed) so I am stuck without a car for a full day for a simple oil change. This is not the first time it has happened either. Im just frustrated that despite being the second customer of the day, my car was ignored all day long.
Called this morning to get my car scheduled for an inspection. Got a same day appointment at 1:30pm. Walked in and was greeted immediately. Check-in took less than 5 minutes and about 5 minutes later they were already working on my car. Before I knew it they were calling my name to tell me I was all set. Cant believe how fast and friendly these guys are. they will definitely be getting all of my future business. This place if GREAT!
I can count on mavis to provide phenomenal service! No matter my mechanical problem, they are always willing to try and fix, find a solution or point me in the right direction. At time these situations can be stressful especially when unexpected but mavis always makes it seem not as stressful. Thank you to the Fishkill mavis team for always making my experience a memorable one!
Time after time these guys hit it out of the park. Honest, courteous, knowledgeable and fair. I like doing business locally but these guys are impossible to beat and have never given me a reason to go elsewhere. Corporate sign, local feel. Jake and Matt, his manager are fantastic. Last week I took my car to Mavis across from Hannaford for mounting and balancing of new tires. They didn’t replace the valve stems and I also found that one tire had 5 psi and one had 10. Was very disappointed and then took my car to this Mavis in fishkill. The manager Matt was extremely kind on the phone and helpful, and didn’t charge me for the job that the other mavis failed to complete. I will definitely be taking my car here from now on!!!
I have been bringing my car to this Mavis location for a couple of years now. They ALWAYS accommodate my needs. They are professional and provide reliable, competent service. I always feel safe and satisfied when i drive my car out of there. They explain everything they do and why it needs to be done. All the staff is professional but I would like to specifically address one outstanding employee, Darrin. He is the Best!!!!!!! i recommend this place 100%.
Had a great experience at Mavis here in Fishkill. Matt at the front desk was very helpful the whole way through. The mechanic Braulio did an amazing job with my tire and fixing my rim the best he could. Everyone at this location was nice and friendly. I will definitely be back
I’m someone who waits until the last minute to bring my car in for service, and ended up having to get more done than expected. When I went to pick up my car I was anxious about the cost of everything, but Matt was exceptional! He saved me a significant amount of money while I was there and then gave me rebates to save even more. I’m very thankful for fishkill Mavis, and am glad I brought my car there. I came to Mavis in Fishkill for new tires, new rear shocks and an oil change. Matt at the front counter was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. Everything was completed in a timely manner and I’m very happy with the work. I will definitely return to this location for future work.

We got a flat tire today while on a road trip from Maryland and they looked at the car immediately - even though we didn’t have an appointment, it was a super busy Saturday afternoon, and the shop was closing in an hour. Daren is awesome and his staff are great - definitely recommend this shop if you are in the area!!
Service always 100% friendly, professional and always satisfied. Braulio helped today with my inspection, fast and simple. I always come here for tires, oil changes, rotations and brakes. Fishkill store since I moved last year, Freedom Road before that was also always great.
Service team was fantastic. Great tires installed at a phenomenal price. Due to a scheduling issue I was also given a discount on my alignment. They worked as hard as possible to make sure I was a satisfied customer. If you ever have an issues make sure you speak to Matt in the front. The guys goes out of his was for all of his customers. Someone up high get this man a raise. Will definitely return.
I had a hard time paying for the work I needed and almost didnt go with the recommendation. I can say this though and I dont say it often the store manager guy there that runs the day to day operations knows and does his position well. He gave me the absolute best price he could to keep me safe on the road and it was still a little more than I could really do but I made it happen and thats the type of person you want running your day to day business. I dont get to go out of my way to do such a good review often and even less so from an individual that makes me want to. This ones for you Bob great job and thank you again
It’s no fun when you realize , you ned to have an a car inspected. After the pandemic everyone seem to have the same need and all inspections went from walk-ins, to appointments. I called around but had no luck. I forgotten that Mavis Discount Tires does inspections, and they saved the day. I call and got in appointment the same day. The staff was friendly and professional. They care of our car inspection. So glad to know that the can do more that just tires. Thank you Mavis Discount Tires.
This location is great! It was my first time at Mavis and they made the process quick and easy. They even found issues i didnt know about. They got me in and out in a little bit over an hour. Going back to get my lug nuts torqued after 25 miles of driving and my inspection done in a couple weeks. Better than any shop Ive used in the Bronx.

I got a flat and had AAA change my tire so I could get to Mavis. Not only did I need a tire, but the guy who put on the spare drilled the lug nut crooked and they had to cut it off. They were so help at Mavis. They ordered my tire, gave me a loaner tire because I have kids and prior commitments. It was going to take 2 days to get my tire. They called me and had everything done in an hour. They were great. I totally recommend them, excellent service.
I just don’t know where to begin!!! I caught 2 flat tires on my Porsche Panamera on Friday, 10/8. I contacted the 2 nearby Porsche dealerships but they were unable to have both tires in stock until Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week. My friend told me about Mavis and not only did they have the tire in their warehouse, they were able to install it the next morning and get me on the road to Pennsylvania. I thank you Mr Daren for your wealth of knowledge and your friendly staff for assisting me during this hectic time and not to mention on a Friday. Who needs dealerships with places like Mavis that not only can save you on an expensive tire but provide friendly service. Been bringing car here for the past few months after moving to the neighborhood, these guys have done right by me. Bought tires and they were installed the same day. They literally checked everything besides doing wheel alignment such as brakes, battery, etc. Decent prices. We were very impressed with the service, quality of products and the professionalism of the staff. We were given a follow-up date to check tires and installation and we were given a product warranty. Once you purchase with Mavis you can go to any Mavis for assistance.

I always leave satisfied. When they tell me how long it will take to work on my car theyve always been accurate and Ive never had any issues after getting work done. I’ve never been to a car place that was so helpful before. I had mentioned I was going on a trip so they did everything to make sure my car was safe to get there and did everything they could to make it affordable for me. Definitely will be coming back any time my car needs some work. Ask for Bob, Ray, or Daren, they are extremely helpful and care about the people who come in their store.
They have always been very nice there but yesterday they really outdid themselves. Because of ice on my windshield my wiper broke and of course on the driver side. I drove to Mavis hoping they could squeeze me in to get a new wiper, I had to be somewhere soon. Not only did they take care of it immediately and were so nice about it, they didnt even charge me for the work or the new wiper. THANKS GUYS!!
I found myself in a crisis situation on the highway with a flat tire far from home. I called fishkill mavis right at closing time, and they offered to stay open late to help me. They saved me from a very tough situation, and were helpful and kind throughout. Not only do I recommend them if you need help in the area, but they convinced me that I should be using Mavis for my car needs more often.
I work in lower Westchester and when I arrived into town 12/21/2021) I heard a weird noise coming from my brakes. I immediately went to Mavis which was literally closing minutes upon my arrival . The manager (Daren) was kind enough to check my car , informed me that I needed brakes. He managed to fit me in to their busy schedule the next day due to the urgency of my vehicle. These types of places cause such anxiety. You feel you must always be on guard for your wallet. Its not like that here. Actually everyone is so nice you become suspicious. How are these people so nice in a place like this? I have only received the best care for my cars here at a very fair price. If you care for your cars, as I do mine, you found the place. Stick to this specific location. I have no clue about the others. And these front desk people; trust them. They advise the best.
Went to the mavis on rte9north next to the car was the staff was very friendly my truck was fixed quickly correctly and for a fair price That is how a shop should be ran That location is by fair the best mavis I have ever been in the mgr is doing a great job it shows in the service provided at his shop This shop definitely 5stars and if your one of the guys that mess up there 5star review I think the problem is the loose nut behind your wheel Thanks again
Brought in my 08 honda civic SI for 1 tire replacement, and a 4 wheel balance as well, as another local mavis obviously doesnt know how to balance tires and i was dealing with a brutal vibration at highway speeds. Matt and his tech took care of my car and she rides beautifully, like new again, considering it has 208k miles. Thank you guys again and i will be a repeat customer for sure, and send anyone i know needing quality work your way!!
Really professional and a good group of guys I had them do the brakes on my Mazda front and rear as well as struts and shocks a service and inspection and new tires and then took my moms car their to get a new set of tires as well put on the Mavis traction control tires and they are a great tire for the price. Will definitely go back in the future.

This would be my second time going to Mavis.. I use to only go to the places I bought my cars. I started going to Mavis because I was not able to get an appointment for a basic oil change for weeks. I have a far drive to and from work so I was not comfortable driving with my oil light on.The team at Mavis makes you feel like family. They really understand all my concerns. The team at Mavis was super helpful, particularly Darren and the service manager Bob. They took the time to explain everything to me prior to installing parts. Bob even took time to explain the difference in tires and didn’t just push for the most expensive...I appreciate that. There was no pushy selling. The store was clean, quiet and open on the holiday.
Excellent experience over 5 years. Inexpensive, fast, reliable service and most importantly honest. On multiple occasions theyve confirmed that work recommended by a local dealership was not required and theyve diagnosed problems that were covered under our vehicle warranty saving us hundreds of dollars. This past week they charged our daughter less than $20 to diagnosis and fix a tire we believed needed replacing. Their honesty has been invaluable. Highly recommend.
Windshield wipers stopped working in the middle of rain. No appointment they took me in no questions asked. Turns out wipers were just loose. Didnt even charge me for the work. Everyone was very professional and kind. They will definitely have business again from me in the future.
Dont recommend- Stay away! Use a local shop for your car services! Save yourself a head ache-Youll get better customer service. I go in for an inspection my tires were low thread and they tried to get us to buy tires from them they put my car on a lift, removed my tires all without my permission. When we stated we would buy online since they are cheaper they stated we failed inspection and were going to remove my inspection sticker. Called the local police department and was stated all they have the authority to do is give a failed inspection paper. This location will be reported to corporate-They had us waiting two hours for an inspection after they said 40 mins and then this. Super unprofessional and should of listened to other friends who have had bad experiences in this place. This isnt how you conduct services.
Great service. Dont have to wait days for service. Just about anything is handled same day. They will also check for Recalls on your vehicle so you can take it to your dealer at no cost. Good if its an expensive part. Good to call the day before to check out how long you have to wait for your car depending on what is done. Walk-ins always welcomed and if they are backed up they will let you know how long the waiting time before they get to your vehicle is. You are never left hanging. Pleasant and Helpful Staff. Fishkill Mavis is the best.
Matt and Darren are spectacular! Matt worked on my car and did a tremendous job! I thought that I was going to have to sell my 2014 kia however I fell in love with it again after the work Matt did ! He was very thorough and communicated every step of the way! He is truly my saving grace ! Since I am in Sales and customer service , I was very impressed with the level of service , communication , and professional atmosphere that this store has . Darren and Raymi were on point . All aspects of work were explained prior , while offering options !The best thing is , they are adept at many other repairs other than tires !!!!! I have finally found a place I have confidence in !!! By the way , I’m not a big review writer , that changed today !!
3 times now that they’ve tried to upsell me on tires for other things. This time I came in for 21 dollar inspection and they told me my tires (that have 15k miles on them) are “dry rotted and are like racing slicks” - verbatim from Bob the service manager - and tried to charge me 350 for a pair of tires. He also intimated that he wouldn’t pass my inspection if I didn’t get the tires replaced. Daren also got very defensive when I approached him about their sales tactics related to simple maintenance services.
Are usually go to Mavis because they are the best price or match or beat anybody’s price on tires. Last July I had four tires put on all brakes front and back new struts new shocks and alignment done. I’ve noticed the front brakes were squeaking and my wheel was shaking when I was breaking so I brought it in and they replace the rotors and the pads on the front under the guarantee. No extra chargeI really appreciate that

I had a great experience every person I spoke to was real nice and professional at best. All seem to be real down to earth mechanics and arn’t going to rob you price wise or try to sell you anything you don’t absolutely need. I’m definitely going to be a returning customer.
Words cannot describe the care and genuine authenticity of how I was treated by Darren, Anthony, and Bob. They supported me through a very high dollar purchase (catalytic converter) and assured me that my Jeep would be well taken care of. This shop is by far world class with top notch service.
Literally the absolute most incompetent staff in history work at the RT9 Mavis, 3 hours for and inspection and then they had the audacity to tell me I needed new rotors and break pads, keep in mind I already tipped these clowns and this happened after I kept asking why is my car just sitting on the lift not being worked on. I wouldn’t let these momo’s work on my kids gocart.
Horrible! I am very upset with this place very dishonest. They told me I needed wipers in order to pass my inspection when I asked to see my wipers before paying which I had told them over the phone I wanted to see them because they have been fine and they agreed to show me. I asked to see them once I arrived back some guy had to go get them from the back I asked them to show me where my wipers were torn and they showed one little spot only on one wiper and I said that’s it, just on this one? The guy replied with yup that’s what’s going to make your inspection fail. The other smaller wiper had nothing wrong and I have a friend who also works for another Mavis location who had told me that that wouldn’t be the reason why your inspection would fail that would be one thing that would be considered unsafe but not dimmable for an un passable inspection. As I say okay and pay he comes back out with another little wiper and says this is your wiper see where it’s torn. I replied and said you just showEd me my wipers that’s not mine I just looked at it and showed you that there was nothing wrong with that one just the big one had that tear in it like you said. He then said oh no those weren’t your wipers I grabbed the wrong wipers those were someone else’s wipers they were all in the garbage I grabbed the wrong ones. Like what?!? After I just paid? You grabbed the wrong wipers when you placed them in front of me telling me that these were my wipers see why they failed, and also you knew I was coming for the sole purpose of wanting to see where my wipers were torn and now all of a sudden you’re showing me just anybody’s wipers how do I know who’s wipers are who. The guy only could say yeah my bad they were all in the garbage. They knew I wanted to see MY wipers when I spoke to them on the phone... I feel very swindled here and they are very dishonest and I was very angry and upset as a customer. I will never be coming back here they are very unprofessional and EXTREMELY DISHONEST and can admit to it.
This shop has some of the most honest and reliable people by far!! Im going to be 100% honest myself and say I recently started working there. However if I saw some shady business I would let it be known that this is not a good place nor would I continue to work for them.. so a customer came in and thought they wanted/ needed a new tire. Most places would be like sure we have a new tire for you.. however in the middle of me changing the tire for a new one my manager Anthony came up and inspected the tire and said they dont need a new one its a minor repair. I was instructed to repair it and restock the new one. This saved the customer approximately 150$ ! I certainly think that that was not only a very honest move but one that deserves an applaude. Too many places get a bad rap but I stand behind this shop 100% it would have been so easy for him to tell me to just put a new tire on there but him and this shop do the right thing consistently from my perspective.. if u need a tire,brakes,rotors,oil change etc.. by all means please visit this Mavis and ask for either Anthony, Raymi or Daren.. Best of the best and Im proud to be part of a team and family I can stand behind!
Whatever time you make your appointment add 6-8 hours and that’s when you’ll get your car back, whether the job was done is 50/50 I guess I’m a glutton for punishment, I continuously go to Mavis for most my car needs- inspection, oil changes, tires, etc... and they continuously tell me a couple hours which always turns into the entire day. Why take appointments? I dropped my car off at open with little to no cars in the lot or garage. I had my tire choices predelivered and was told 1.5-2 hours. 3.5 hours later and my car hasn’t been touched, no warning call or anything to say why. Do you not care how unprofessional that is? It’s not like we have easy access public transportation, I took a day off work to do this. It’s so disrespectful. I picked up my car as is, so thanks for holding it in a parking lot for 4 hours? This is like the 8th time Mavis has exhibited poor service and time management. It’s my own fault for giving you so many chances. Won’t be back ever again to any location. I’m shelling out an extra $50 to Fishkill Tire to do the job.
The Fishkill Mavis by Foam and Wash was very professional at the front desk and helpful with any savings to help us with the payment. Most of all the young man who worked on my Mothers Lincoln took care of it like it was his. Outstanding service, 5 Stars here. Thank you, Kathleen and William.
Service is good, polite, just you have to wait way longer than youd like - theyre very busy. Is that a bad thing? Maybe not - but just more up-front warning would be helpful! Dont say 30 minutes if you mean 90! Anyway, waiting area is clean, theres a TV, plus there are work-stations where you can work on your laptop etc. - so not bad.
Brought my car in for a simple inspection, when I went to leave besides the driver door being soaked from raining the tan interior was stained all over the door panel, center console, steering wheel, and floor mat. Didnt bother to go inside but youd think someone would have the brains to wear gloves or wash their hands. Thanks for nothing Mavis, you always lower my already low expectations no matter the location!
My tire blew. The guy I talked to on the phone and in the shop was very helpful. I wanted to know if my tire that blew was under warranty. It wasnt but he showed me the tires dates. And now after a new tire purchase I have coverage on all my tires. It was pretty quick and I really appreciated the man that helped me. I wish I caught his name.
This store went way be on the call of duty to help me. After 2 flat trailer tires on my way from Binghamton my to New Gaven Ct. I pulled in to this store at 4:40 (they close at 5) and Without even thinking they offered to stay and change my last 2 tires. They had a problem and stayed with smiles on their faces till 6:30! I have owned auto shops for the last 30 years and I must say theses 2 brothers are a huge asset to this company and they deserve to be recognized! I will be writing to corporate to see that they know how valuable they are.
Car broke down coming from Connecticut. Had problems with my tire. They tried to charge around me $170 just to put the lug nuts and wheel studs THAT I BOUGHT on my car. Then when I go to drive off the tire still felt funny & I went back & they tell me it’s my Wheel Barring that is messed up so I’d have to pay ANOTHER $380 and wait ANOTHER DAY. I live in Connecticut. Maybe because I’m a female, but it’s ridiculous because they should’ve noticed that to begin with. Being that they said it “took long because they had to take the whole tire apart” Yet he took one look at the tire when I came back and noticed. They basically figured that I’m in a bad situation and could screw me over. Said “We are the only ones open” So then I had to wait, and carefully move my car to C & V (5 minutes down the road) and they were appalled at what Mavis had done. They said the job they did wasn’t even worth $50. And they fixed my car for WAY cheaper. I would NEVER recommend these people. Greedy
This location is not like the rest! I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences at other Mavis locations but the team at this location is great! Matt at the front desk was amazing, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Fishkill Mavis, they are respectful and professional!
They constantly try to take advantage and overcharge women.Went in to get a puncture on my tire fixed. Told me that i had to completely replace the tire and charged me an extra $40 on the tire than when my dad went in 3 weeks earlier to replace the tires. They then told me that my front 2 struts were broken and it would cost over $650 to fix! My uncle is a mechanic and looked at them - not broken at all in nesrly perfect condition. This is not the first time they have told me i need something repaired that is not broken at all. This does not happen when I go in with my dad. They constantly try to take advantage of women. Would not recommend to anyone.
This Mavis is pretty great. The staff is very competent and friendly, especially the younger managers. Theyre willing to help you out and work with you on custom requests, and to get you what you need. Prices are reasonable. This is a popular Mavis, so wait times are usually very long, but they are organized about handling everyone.A couple times its been suggested to me to have them do certain repairs (struts, fluid flushes, etc) on my vehicles that really werent necessary in my opinion, but i guess thats the nature of these shops; theyre going to suggests whatever work they can.
I went to Mavis Discount tire in Fishkill on a Sunday morning after my brake warning light came on the night before. Since my dealership back home in Ohio suggested new brake pads & rotors just prior to my roadtrip, I thought that was the reason the light was on. Zach showed me my car had a busted brake line and although Id have to wait until Monday to have it replaced, Zach, kindly drove me to Enterprise over 5.5 miles away so I could get a rental car. Roach (a sailor) drove my car to Enterprise when I needed to return the rental car. As a female, traveling alone, far from home (with a flip phone!), I truly appreciated the above and beyond service these good men provided to me. Did they try to upsell me on brake pads & rotors like my dealership did? No! Instead, Zach confirmed what another mechanic back home told me, that dealers have different measuring standards and I didnt need pads & rotors just yet. Zach did suggest replacing my excessively corroded battery and I appreciated this because I had noticed it too. Doing the math on my 9 1/2 year old car being on its second battery, told me this was a Iegitimate concern and I was glad to be saved from another surprise! I highly recommend this location, just over a mile off I-84, on Route 9 heading North. Thanks again to all the good men who got me up and running again!

These guys fixed the shield that came off underneath the car on the highway which was super scary btw lol, but these men fixed it right up for free! We are from Ohio and are on vacation in Fishkill and having car troubles.a Triple AAA, diagnosed a need for a new battery. At the suggestion of the Courtyard Marriott we were staying at, we brought our car to Mavis and we were pleasantly surprised by the service we received, great guys, fast and efficient service, priced lower than first quote! Definitely a 5 star visit!!
I swore no more Mavis for me. After 5 horrible years dealing with Mavis in Beacon NY I was convinced to go to the one in Fishkill. My car was ready a day early and a problem was fixed in 1 day. This problem remained after dealing with Beacon for months and months.I could not be happier. Bravo to Mavis in Fishkill NY. You Rock!
I have had work done on my car on here on numerous occasions and each time Jim and Juan have always been great. Ive had lots of extra work done because of Juans recommendations. Its possible Jim whos always been very kind; is no longer managing because yesterday when I came in, Mike who attended to us was just rude and unpleasant from the moment we got there. I had scheduled an appointment to have my wheels taken care of; but this guy just seemed so disinterested in helping us even though we were consistent customers. I mean after setting an appointment, he stated that we have to wait 45 minutes or even longer to have the work done. Although that was disappointing to hear, we would have been okay with if it had been said with kindness. Bad news is easily accepted when its said with kindness. Mike who I believe is the new manager, even while describing something as frustrating as long wait periods, couldnt do so with kindness. His rude and condescending tone and demeanor left much to be desired. Because my wife and I didnt feel like we were being treated kindly, we left Mavis and went to Firestone Auto Center in wappingers where we were treated with great kindness, had our car serviced, and for half the price Mavis offered. Ive been a Mavis Fishkill Customer for a while, but after yesterday, they have lost my business moving forward. It seems Mike is disinterested in keeping a customer whos always enjoyed going to Mavis Fishkill. I rarely ever leave bad reviews, but yesterdays experience warranted one. Great job keeping your customers.
Called today to inquire about getting tires installed on my vehicle, they provided me the information, I told them I wanted to check another store and would call back to make an appointment. Following that he said “let me save you some time, you won’t find them anywhere else so we can get them here”. I repeated myself and at that point he blatantly hung up on me. What kind of customer service is that? Just cost themselves at least $1000 from me.
The guys at Mavis treat you like ROYALTY, they are like family, whenever I need my car serviced thats where I go, I also bring them Dunkin Donuts. They have people waiting for many hours, when they say you have an appointment they don’t always honor it! They still make you wait and put other people that come after, before your turn! I am a regular customer and I always have an issue every time I come here, today is the last day I will set foot inside of Mavis discount tire Fishkill!!
I called and got a price quote but upon arriving the price was higher. They couldnt find the sales slip even though the guy on the phone said he wrote it up with the qouted price, my name, address and phone number. After the job, I found they didnt change out the cracked rubber valves so i had to go back and wait for them to correct it. Who puts new tires on without changing the rubber valves? The first time i found the tires over 36 psig and the 2nd time they were less than 30 psig when the tires should have been 32 psig as per the chart on the driver door jam. Their excuse was that we all make mistakes, it happens.
If it were possible to give negative stars, I would. On Thursday, I made an appointment online for a new set of tires. I received an email, confirming my appointment & the tires I chose (Hankook). About 20 minutes later, I got a call from Kevin. He asked if I planned on making my appointment & what time I was coming (I chose a time & it was confirmed). He told me everything was all set & they would see me on Saturday. I asked how long the appointment would take & was told no longer than 1.5 hours. Today, the morning of the appointment, I receive a call from Chris who asks me again what time Im coming & informs me that he has no idea what happened, but he only has 3 of the tires I ordered. He said that if I was agreeable, he has Pirelli in stock & while they are more expensive, they are better tires & he would adjust the price to match the Hankooks due to the inconvenience. I was fine with that & showed up to the appointment. As requested, I spoke to Chris when I checked in. He proceeded to ring up the Pirelli tires, & needless to say, the price was not matched & in fact would cost me $200 more! (Can you say bait & switch?!) I produced the quote given to me for the Hankooks & asked him to honor the agreement he made on the phone. I also asked him to look for the Hankook tires & surprise! They had all 4 of them in stock! He proceeded to push the Pirellis which I said I did not want & that I wanted the Hankooks I ordered. There were 5 cars in an 8 bay shop, yet in took an hour to move my car from the parking lot into a bay. The tires were removed. And 45 minutes later, another worker requested I come look at my car. He proceeded to TELL me that he was going to replace my shocks, struts & that I should do my brakes as well. This would be at least another $700 dollars. I asked him to show me the problem with any of those parts & he could not. I also let him know that my brakes were replaced less than 1 year ago & to please just put on the new tires. I spent a total of 3.5 hours waiting for my car! & when I went to check out, there was of course discrepancies on the bill & charges added that were never in the quote or mentioned prior. Needless to say, I will never return to this, or any other Mavis or recommended their services to anyone.
Bob and Darren were awesome. We had an issue that could have been a disaster with our CRV and they really went above and beyond to help us out. They were fair and provided exceptional customer service, sadly thats a rarity in todays world! Thank you guys for the help!
If you have all day to sit at a garage and wait and wait and wait for them to change a tire. I guess it would be an okay place to go if you want to go to a Mavis Discount Tire go down the street to Wappingers on 124 Old Post Road youll get better service than this one.
This place is the worst, the only reason I gave them one star is because it was mandatory I give something!! It took them 5 hrs to change 4 tires, which they ended up putting the wrong tires on my car.In that process they dented 3 rims which I had to pay for. Somehow they also damaged the bearings in both front wheels which my car warranty covered. My car had 5,000 miles, brand new BMW so the damage was definitely caused by them.Horrible service!!!!! They are clueless on how to change tires.. DO NOT take your car here. This place should be shut down!!!
Total rip off. Front left brake was grinding and went to Mavis. Left paying over $500 because I was told I needed new pads,2 rotors and 2 calipers. Then they charged me $80 for brake system flush that I was not told about. Was also told I needed my power steering fluid flushed and new struts, that I had to refuse. The real issue is trust. How can you trust a company that claims you need all new parts in every case. When i asked why I needed 2 rotors I was told that they come in pairs. I dont think that is true.
To do inspections they told me over the phone ,that the waiting time is 3 hours. I asked if I could come in 2 hours and wait 1 hour . Rep told me: I have to leve my car and come back in about 3 hours. I asked how I came back home without my car? , and the rep. told me that: I do not know, its not my business , either you leave you car and come back in 3 hours or you wait 3 hours here THX MAVIS , YOU JUST LOST 1 CUSTOMER FOREVER !!!I WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH MY FRIENDS
They are thieves .over charge Customers . I Change Car battery in November 2017 in Mavis discount Tire Store on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie . Last Month my Car battery died again i took to Mavis discount Tire in Fishkill . The battery have 5 years Warranty on it . What the Manager in Fishkill Store Charge me again for New battery . I Call Mavis Customer Service they told me all battery Comes with 5 years Warranty . What the Manager in Fishkill Store refused to exchange the battery . Every Work they overcharge .
Took my car here a week ago for a grating sound coming from the tires, an exhaust smell when I turn on the heat, and an oil change. I was told the sound came from the tires needing rotating and the smell was exhaust coming from a pipe that was previously welded from somewhere else. I got the oil changed and tires rotated. When I left the noise was slight but by the next day while driving back home to Long Island the sound was back. I took it back to the Mavis now in Long Island and was told the noise was my back brakes were worn down and I would need to change them and the rotors. Mavis in Fishkill couldnt see or hear that???I waited 2 hours for tires to rotate and oil to be changed. Horrible service!I have been using Mavis for years but that day I was annoyed with Mavis I went somewhere else to do brakes, sorry Valley Stream Mavis, didnt mean to take it out on you, your good.
So now the new money maker is power steering and brake fluid flush. Ladies, get second opinion on any other repairs they recommend. Not to happy with the overhead / stocking fees, those costs go along with the business and is just greed. Never saw those fees until just recently.Staff was OK.
They are a bunch of liars and crooks!!! i went there for a inspection & free tire rotation( which is another scam to get you unto their shop so they can rip your car apart) and 1 of their commissioned crook staff members tried to sell me a power steering flush, brake flush, alignment & struts that i didnt need!!! I had just had my car serviced for my 60k service so i knew it was fine!!! Their prices for the work i didnt need were not that great either.I also saw it was true about the cameras they have in the front office and bays to make sure their kid parts changers are selling you all the work you DONT need is sold to you!!! I was also told by other customers that have been ripped off that the reviews on the mavis site are mostly made up by mavis employees and are lies just like their whole business!! I was also told they like to spray oil on your shocks and struts and tell you they are bad!!! The only things they are good at is lying, and scare tatics to sell you work you dont need!! I am going to look for a honest locally owned repair shop and you should to. Most of the big corporate repair shops are like Mavis work on very low base saleries and will rip you off and sell you work you dont need so they can make money!! Mavis how do you and your crooked employees sleep at night??????? Also dont send me your generic we are sorry response as we all know you dont care!!!!!!
Mavis in fishkill are the worst. Im at the beacon one because I got a flat tire. I had a warranty but when he looked at the tire, it was caused by an alignment issue which I JUST got done in April by them fools that they supposedly did. No I didnt run over anything or hit a severe pot hole.Heres another kicker.. When he looked at the tire, come to find out they gave me the wrong size tire!! How is that possible? Been driving all this time with a different size tire smh!! He gave me a sweet deal on this new tire for what happened but Im Never going to the Fishkill Mavis again.
I may have met the next CEO of Mavis Discount Tire. His first name is Raymond but everyone knows him as Roach. He was pretty modest in talking about his 3 tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq. But when my partner and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon in route to Maine with chewed up tire and bent rim there was no modesty in Roachs commitment to serve us and get us on our way. Mavis Tire your next CEO is working in your Route 9 store. The entire crew here was great!!!
I went in and asked for something simple, new 4 tires, an oil change, alignment and inspection. Not only did i wait 7 hours for it to get done, they didnt even do the damn inspection which was due to expire in 2 days in which they werent open and they were about to close. Why would i have to wait 7 hours for such service and not even get one service i asked for. i was also not asked what kind of oil i would like. Not going back there.
Poor communication on site, did not receive survey because I had problem. Called Mavis customer service line. Was told a regional VP would respond, instead received call from store manager. Now I know why the store has communication problems. Will go elsewhere in future.
After about $800 of pointless stuff they tell you to buy, you then can drive your car that has something wrong with it, got brand new everything and still cant figure out the problem. Also if you have an oil filter make sure you hand it to them otherwise theyll just do the oil and leave your brand new filter in its box. Never going here again after $1300 of bills and STILL have the issue
My boyfriend took his car there Saturday for a NYS Inspection. Not only did they fail it for a slight power steering leak which is extremely odd since they changed that fluid a few weeks ago when he was in for tires and never mentioned it then. They also bent his hood and tore the weather stripping. All after taki g 4 hours.NEVER AGAIN...
I went in and was sold a power steering flush. Three (3) months later, I was told by Jimmy that I needed another. Guess he didnt know it had already been done. I learned that Jimmy had left to go to another shop (C&V) and went back to Mavis. Must be the owner of C&V learned what Jimmy was about - ripping people off - and sent him packing. Guess what, Jimmy is back at Mavis and I am going to C&V. I asked around and they have been in business for quite some time and have a great reputation. A friend and her son go there and swear by the C&V Staff!!!! I heard they have put nice chairs and a TV in the waiting room to at C&V. I WILL NOT be going back to Mavis. I just wonder what else I have been ripped off on?! I want to go where I wont be taken advantage of. As a single woman with no car experience, I am at the mercy of a shop.

2022-01-18My customer experience at Mavis was great. They ordered my tires for me, got them fast. Soon as they arrived at the store I got a call to come pick up my car they changed my cracked rims and new tires were installed, balanced, and an alignment was done! Got my car back fast! Darren made everything as painless as he could.

Got my inspection done in record time without an appointment, and gave me a good recommendation for my tires without any pressure. I will definitely be back here to get my new tires, and I absolutely recommend this Mavis to everyone. Even the waiting area is very spacious and relaxing.

2022-06-21I went in for an inspection and overall checkup as my vehicle is 12 years old. My vehicle was taken in at the scheduled time. I needed rear brakes which were replaced at this same appointment. Normal wear as expected. No other upselling, to my relief. Excellent customer service and communication from the young man at the front desk. He let me know what to keep an eye on in the next few months. Extremely helpful and well communicated.

2022-06-20Excellent customer service from Jake especially. If hes not in a management position, he should be! The entire crew never stopped working for a second the whole time I was there. My guess is theyre short staffed, but they worked non-stop through a parking lot full of customers. Pricing is also way better than what Im used to. Found my new place and 100% would recommend.

2022-05-20Went in for an unscheduled NYS inspection. Was informed it would take slightly more than an hour. However, was in & out for slightly less. They worked on my car as soon as I arrived. I sat and waited in their quiet and fairly clean waiting area. Was my first time @ this Mavis & I would definitely return to have my vehicle serviced here.

2022-01-09We called Mavis after pulling off the highway with some concerning indicator warning lights and seeing they were the closest repair shop around. It was near their closing time on a Saturday and they kindly made time to look at our car despite being super busy. They took us in and gave us an honest assessment and a few options. We decided to risk the trip home and get it fixed here and they sent us off without charging a penny despite their time spent looking at our car and walking us through the issue. They were kind, patient, professional, and made what could have been a real nightmare much easier. Thank you so much!!

2022-06-17I take my Honda CR-V to oil change mavis fishkill. after 3 days there is big blowing sound coming from hood.I take my car nearest work shop there is no oil left in my car even I suppose to change my exhaust gasket after cat it’s cost $164.94.just for a simple oil change my one day +$164.94.they just returned my oil change money back who responsible for balance loss they are not agreeing exhaust problem because of oil leaking.I don’t want argue for this just mavis management and supervisors just give some extra care if you hire unknown professionals for job.poor people paying from pocket

2022-06-03The customer service was outstanding. We were in the middle of a long drive home fromvacation when we found ourselves with a serious tire problem. We found them on Google and called shortly before closing. They told us to come in and took care of us even though they were late leaving on a Friday night. Absolutely the most professional, customer-oriented business we have ever encountered. Can’t thank them enough!
