Just stopped here and Paul the manager was able to get me in right away! My tire had a nail in it! I had my 3 children with me, and after fixing it he said there’s no charge! I can’t put in words the kindness this man has!!! I will recommend everybody to stop here for a honest repair! Thanks again Paul and merry Christmas!!
The store itself looks rundown, manager speaking disrespectfully to his employees. Technician was very friendly and assisted with putting air in my tires. Technicians are very polite and friendly but a manager should have respect for their employees. Not a good way to run a business, especially in front of customers
Swapped out a trailer tire for us on the spot. Very quick and efficient. It’s great to see this business supporting other local businesses during this time. Very pleased with the repair performed by the MAVIS crew in Lockport; equally as pleased with their professionalism, time to complete the repair (replace both rear wheel bearings).I drive a 2013 FIAT 500 T(urbo), its beginning to show its age, notwithstanding, I intend to continue relying upon the capable technicians at the Lockport store.Good job, guys!!!
They have had my truck since Saturday it was supposed to be done Saturday but I was told 4 tires could not be done in a hour so they told me they would call me Sunday. They did not contact me Sunday so I called at 12 and was told definitely be done today. I never received a phone call Sunday its now Monday night still no call I already paid in full not sure why my vehicle is not getting the tires on.
Anthony and the team were great. Like most businesses these days they seem under staffed and they handle it like professionals. Truly a pain free experience and I feel like I got a very fair deal on the tires. But the customer service and quality work will bring me back and I will be sending my friends and family in to see the guys and gals. Highly recommend!!
These guys took me right in Friday before closing and fixed a tire with a nail in it quickly. I had a great time talking to them amd learning. Anthony found a leak in my rear differential that had not been spotted a month ago at the dealer and it wasn’t new as I had noticed fluid on the garage floor but didn’t know what it was. May have saved me a lot of money. They were not cranky like the other places I called when the light started flashing on my dash- and that means a lot. Gave me advice on snow tires as I haven’t lived in snow for 15 years.
Very friendly, reasonable prices. Went above expectations and did more than was called for to make it a great service experience. I also witnessed this with an older couple and another lady that came in while I was waiting for the work to be completed. Im confident they will not take advantage of you. Ive been here several times. Always a good experience!
My daughter brought my granddaughters jeep in to get back brakes and pads and was quoted 175.00….they called and told her she needed 4 calipers and the bill would now be 800.00… so she took it somewhere else and low and behold it only needed back brakes and pads … and the bill was 175.00. If that isn’t a SCAM I don’t know what is! Mavis should be ashamed!
The Mavis employee’s are great. They were very friendly and professional. They had everything I needed. I had 4 new tires installed and had an outer tie rod replaced. I waited for an hour and a half. Also, the price was perfect. I would recommend Mavis to everyone, they have great customer service and got the job done correctly.
Got me in fast, diagnosed fast, and fixed bad wheel bearing and rear brakes fast. Told me what it needed and why. Threw in a new battery at no charge because It was old.Friendly and professional. Prices for parts and labor very reasonable. Open 7 days and 3 blocks from home are bonuses. Refreshing experience.
So yesterday I went to Walmart to purchase a couple of Goodyear tires to replace mine on the back of the car. I picked out my tires and waited in the lobby. About a half an hour later service manager comes out and says the two of my studs have been snapped off on that I would have to take it to Mavis to have it fixed. So I did that and they replaced the studs for about 60 bucks. Went back to Walmart and they refunded my money for the fix.In the meantime the Walmart technicians not only lied to me about it being an unnatural occurrence, with the technician saying its the first time its ever happened in this shop., whereas Mavis says it happens almost constantly... Up to three times or more per week.So after a full 3 hours of shop to shop shenanigans, I went back to Walmart and waited another hour and a half for them to do absolutely nothing because only one tech was working. Mind you I had been out and about since 11:00 am. It was about 4:30 p.m. and I still had no tires on my car.Would this like the story in mind, Im at Mavis right now getting my tires put on. They had me in within a half an hour and the technician is finishing up with buttoning everything together.They have a new customer. Im very pleased. 😁
I have had a pleasant time here every time I have come in so far, all of the staff is very approachable and understanding from what I’ve seen. That being said, Ashley made my last experience absolutely wonderful, took the extra time to make sure that everything I needed was taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure that my visit was the absolute best that it could be. Thanks to the service provide by Ashley on my last visit I will 100% be coming back if ever/ or whenever my car needs future servicing.
I was told to check out Mavis in Lockport. I am so glad that I did. I needed 4 new tires and didnt want to break the bank. Ashley ended up taking care of me. What a wonderful person! She made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. I cannot thank her enough. This store has really good people working here. Im so glad they work in my hometown! I would like to start by saying that I received exceptional customer service from Joshua himself. He was very polite to start which was comforting once I started explaining my troubles with my vehicle he gave me the assurance that I was in the right place and would make sure that when I left that everything was taken care of. That was really assuring simply due to the fact that I’ve been to multiple car shops and have been taken advantage of.My vehicle was complete in a fashionable manner and all problems had cease to exist. I would like to say thank you and I will be back soon but not too soon..
Excellent customer service!! New tires were much cheaper than other places we called. Our wait was minimal and the guys were super friendly and kept us updated on what was going on. Will definitely return for any future needs and will recommend this location to all of our friends and family! Big thank you to Vaden(I hope we got his name correct...hahaha)! My experience was great and I didn’t really have to many issues with my car. So the service and time frame were great as I was in and out. The one Women in the main office, was very nice and understanding of my car issues, and took care of me with this crazy time we are in. I would recommend anyone to go get there car fix there with any issues.
Vaden is the best and so is all the staff. I woke up to a dilemma and was able to get it handled in no time. As I sat and waited I watched Vaden and his coworker continue to take care of everyone that came in in a friendly professional manor. I definitely recommend them.
New problem, or so I was led to believe! Mavis of Lockport was going to charge me $400 for new outer tie rods that I didnt need for a NYS inspection. Turns out the problem was that the struts were bad! Mavis replaced said struts last year and charged me $1100! Another mechanic shop passed my vehicle & gave me an estimate for the same struts that Mavis had charged me for last year! So did they actually replace the struts or just say they did? Or did they install bad or broken struts? Should they do the work again free of charge? Under warranty? No! I dont want them touching my car or my wallet ever again!
I showed up at Mavis unexpectedly, on a weekday before 5, with a flat tire. They managed to squeeze me in, and have me out in an impressive amount of time. They were courteous, fast, and efficient. Price-wise, I dont think I could have done any better any place else. I was impressed.
Went in for rear brakes , also scheduled an inspection online Appointment was 9am upon arrival was informed they can’t do inspection, I should have left but needed brakes , 45 minutes later I was informed I needed rear tire rods at this point invoice was over 900. 00 they also suggested an alignment! I gave approval and sat for almost 5 hours , I was told several time they just had trouble bleeding my brake lines , and didn’t know why I watched the mechanic walking in circles , left the building twice and went across the street for ice tea and 2 pot pies while my vehicle sat , I asked a woman named Ashley who stated not long he’s got it then we will Aline it . This was at 12:15 pm I then watched the mechanic bring another vehicle in and start working on it , a gentleman named Josh told me my car had issues and they didn’t know what !! By this time I had enough I asked him too wrap it up and I had to leave ! He attempted to Aline my car I stopped that and my brakes never fixed and a invoice for 900.00 they are criminals I felt like they scammed me for up charges and after 5 hours enough I will file complaints with the state as well stay away they are crooks , I reported this too district management waiting for an answer and my credit card company!!! Crooks unprofessional I was called bud , man , guy all professional terms too call customers !! Scammers
Very very pleased. Brad called me the morning of my appointment to let me know the tires I purchased online wouldnt be in but he could get me into something similar for a few dollars more. He was very very professional on the phone and in person. Cost was a very big concern for me and he worked with me to get me some great tires for my vehicle. Highly recommend this location and its great customer service.
So over priced. I needed rear breaks including rotors, calipers, and pads, which I had already previously paid for else where. They stated their labor rate was $90/Hour. After the job was done, to my astonishment, my bill came to $220.... take your hard earned money elsewhere.
I took my truck in for a tire rotation. The manager seems to be a very nice guy. They were very busy, so after a long wait they finally got to my truck. I knew I had a screw in one tire that needed fixing plus they found a piece of metal in another tire. If the technician moved any slower I would have started CPR. when they were done I immediately noticed my dash is telling me two tires are low on air. What! They didn’t even check air pressure! They also didn’t reset my pressure monitor system. I would have complained but they didn’t charge me anything. That was a pleasant surprise. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I guess good help is hard to find.
This place has convenient hours and location but thats where anything good about this place ends. Ive been here several times and have never gotten through a simple appointment in less than 2 hours. This trip I waited 4 hours for two front tires to be put on when I was quoted an hour upon arrival. The men who work here are rude and unprofessional, trying to convince another customer to yell at the mechanical parts delivery guy for being later than expected and telling people on the phone they will stop accepting their calls bc their calls werent coming through clear. Just not worth the wait and Ill be finding another place to have my car serviced. I only came here as Ive had work done here before and I like to bring my business to a company I trust but I cant ignore all the red flags that present themselves on every trip. Also, nothing to do with service, but this place is so unbelievably dirty all the time. Last time I was here there were ants all over the floors and you can tell that theyve never mopped the floors where something might need to be moved like the chairs and little tables. During my 4 hour stay here today the cleaning guy did come in and did the laziest job, just vacuumed the rugs and mopped the middle part of the floor only in the walkway.
Was there in July 2020, was told my brakes were fine...despite loss of stopping power. In October, I got new tores on my vehicle at a different place, and was told that my rear calipers were frozen and I needed new brake pads all around. Got a second opinion. Yep.. frozen calipers. Ok.. fine. I went to a different shop and had my brakes done. The calipers had been frozen since at least March. They had to torch them off because they were so rusted on. Not pleased with being lied to by Mavis. That lie could have resulted in a crash.
They have a great team of professional and experienced technicians. I bought four brand new tires for my Ford F250 Super duty from them. When they replaced the tires, they advised me to drive around for few miles and bring the truck back for them to check the torque of the wheels. I think that was a big thing because they care about the safety of their customers.Recently, I went there again to do my state inspection and the price was good as well as waiting time. Im very impressed and satisfied with their work.
The prices were far better than another garage we almost took our car to barely a block away. Free digital air and polite staff. I cant say its the best place on all prices or all services but they saved us a bundle when we needed it most and we will definitely go back for other services.
I did not like how I was treated by John which made me leave the shop. Josh stepped in as I was about to leave and took care of getting me set up for service. He just kept saying dont worry Ill get you taken care of and he sure did. That was nearly two years ago and I will go out of my way to see Josh whenever I have an issue. Im just going to reiterate that point, its been two years and I still come and see Josh every single time and he hasnt let me down. Thank you for your help sir. It is very comforting to work with someone who understands and appreciates that your hard-earned money is not easy to part with. Not too many people especially in this field do that. And its much appreciated! Go ask for Josh!
This place is a joke, I had my car completely looked over and fixed any issues before I went for an inspection only thing is I still needed tires. I brought my car here for inspection after they said they wouldnt fail me for my tires alone. After a 1 and a half hour wait I was told I need front end work plus tires so I failed. The quote was over 1000 dollars. I called my mechanic and explained why I was failed and asked why he didnt tell me I needed that work done. An actual mechanics response because you dont need it. Im livid right now. Mavis just wanted to take advantage of me to make money.
Made a RESERVATION to get tires mounted. Based on other (bad) reviews, called in advance to see if the tires were there (as they were indicated as being in stock when I made the reservation.) The tires were indeed there, but when I asked how long it was going to take, they said at least 4 hours because [they] had other people already there and its first come first served. The website gives the option to drop off (and allow three hours) or make an appointment. This is extremely misleading and very frustrating, as most of us need to take time off or switch cars with a spouse, etc. I cant afford to wait around all day while they mount the tires at their convenience, so Im going with another option that is better run.
Like this place! Went in for front brakes on my Nissan Frontier. Instead of just replacing the rotors and pads they recommended just replacing the calipers too. Yeah it’s a pricey bill but they are looking out for you. And I asked to see the old calipers and they brought it right out so you could see how bad they were. Recommend!
Tire prices ended up higher than the website showed. They also did inspection and claimed my rear brakes were almost steel on steel. I had just purchased pads so I told them not to. When I looked at the pads they still were 1/3 left! Thatll be about 6 months for me! Was not happy. Also had them switch a rim from one tire to another then threw out the original tire! That tire was in good shape, no reason to toss it. Had to dig through their trash pile for it. Was not happy. Overall prices ended right in line with everyone else so Ill go where Im treated well.
Manager unprofessional hung up on his college from another store when he called to get me service. After I spent over 800.00 less then a week again. Not to mention the reason for the phone call was because I was told the mechanic was incompetent of checking out my vehicle to go to Lockport who hung up. Very disappointed Josh
HORRIBLE! My exhaust fell while driving on Transit, so I pulled into Mavis, because it was right there. It was early, so they were closed. I called a cab and went to work. It then took us days, and days to get someone on the phone that actually listened to what we needed, which was just an estimate. For days, every time we called, whoever was answering the phone said he was transferring us and ended up either hanging up on us, or transferring us to corporate! After we finally got them to look at the car (it didnt seem like they really wanted to do any real work, so it took some convincing) they said my sub frame was rotted, the car was not safe or fixable. When the mechanic called and told us, we asked if we could leave the car in their lot for a few days, while we looked for a junk yard to come tow it, he said not a problem and to take our time...........Well, 2 days later, we get a phone call at 3:00 pm from the manager saying they were towing my car if not moved by 5 pm! I couldnt believe it. They are lazy, dont want to do work, dont answer the phone and/or hang up on you, and are liars, and threaten to have customers cars towed.......I will make sure none of my friends, family, relatives, or anyone I know never goes to Mavis.
Terrible! I bought tires there, 6 months later they were bald (I drive a tiny car maybe 10k miles a year) Brought back to get inspected for a warranty replacement and they said my tie rod was bent and gave me a quote to have it repaired and 4 new tires. Went to a real dealership, no bent tie rod and cheaper, higher quality tires. NEVER AGAIN. What a terrible way of doing business.
On 2 separate occasions I had a scheduled appointment at the Mavis in Lockport new york to have a New York State inspection oil change and a new battery put in my truck. The 1st time she took my truck in, she waited after checking in about a 1/2 an hour and was then told that there was nobody there to do the New York State inspection, that she would have to reschedule. We rescheduled for a few days later and this time when she got there, was told there would be a 4 to 5 hour wait. Evidently even though you make an appointment it is still first come, first serve. We will never return, nor will we recommend MAVIS TIRE to anyone.....Wayne H. Of Lockport
After my story yesterday I am pleased to report that when almost arriving to the location (7:50am) with my wife behind me in the shuttle to work. I was called and informed that only three tires were shipped in my order of four, pushing me back yet another day.Your associates are extremely kind. Your operations are terrible. No customer service contact.At Maavis Discount Tire we really do Care! - Please change your slogan to Well get to you when we can, and we dont really know when that is.
Ive gone to Mavis twice now, once for lower balljoints/allignment and again for a multitude of things (Brake Rotors, Brake Pads, Outer Tierod End & Allignment). Although both of these times I was having it done kinda as a favor. The person (who will remain unnamed) He is the inly person who has ever worked on my vehicle and not messed something up or done something using a non-standard method.Sure the waittime can get long but you wait for what you get
At this place now , 3 1/2 hours for a 4th time for a wheel alignment. Did a inspection and pass my truck with a bad ball joint did , then did a alignment and couldnt figure out why couldnt get it right. Went back 2 more times for the alignment and dropped off for 3 1/2 hours and manager lied to me 2 different times on what he had said ,,, Im done never again I will never go back or would I recommend. Now I have to wait from my refund this place is a joke drive by and go somewhere else
I typically dont take the time to deal with delivering feedback, but my heart is in the automotive industry after spending 10 years in operations.This is a multi-compounded build up, so my apologies if this is just perceived as unnecessary complaining, its true and will more than likely lose a customer in this already cut-throat environment of auto service (but who cares theres many more customers right??).A week ago, I had placed an order for my Family SUV. I looked the tires up online, compared and picked a set and then hit a date for drop-off during the day (I would prefer a drop-off as I can schedule the vehicle in to minimize downtime, and it works best for you guys to just get it in when you can to take care of walk ins etc.).After dropping off the car (and the day prior having received a confirmation) I get a phone call that my tires arent there, the wrong size was delivered and that the actual tires that I ordered do not exist, like, not produced at all. Confused by this I go to the website to locate the information on what I ordered, and called back to talk to the gentleman explaining to him that there was a system error and that I felt it highly unlikely that they didnt exist. I was willing to come and pick them up when the coopers were available. I was then interrupted by coopers! oh we had you for nankings, the coopers will be here at NOON, were good.I pickup the car, no issues on the ride home, balance was good, lugs were put on without a torque stick and over-torqued but this was corrected at home with a handy torque-wrench.Three days later the tire light came on the family SUV due to whatever issue on the front right, i havent brought this back in at this time as i wanted to see if it was just a bead issue. (ill bring it in if there is an issue verified this week).So this week (earlier) I place an order online for 4 continental dws 225/50/17 a day drop for my other vehicle in our fleet (5) to be dropped off. I find the reviews, select the tire, pick the date and get my email confirmation. I coordinate with my already emotional expecting-wife the drop-off to get the tires existing replaced on the car (Pirelli Cinturato p7 AS+ that I purchased last year from Maavis 7/16 and had only put 26,342 miles on a 500 AA.. pirellis just didnt hold up like i hoped).I show up and the service associate immediately asks if the X5 is ok (awesome, he remembered the car), I explained I had another vehicle for drop off and I was ready to go - handed him the key and validated tire size and customer info - only to be told that the tires would not be in until tomorrow...11/16. I then asked him to confirm the appointment, he said 11/15. I then asked why would the system allow me to schedule the drop off if the tires wont be here? He then explained they would be in tomorrow. So I then grab my key to go out and let my wife know that the tires are not ready (awesome).I understand there is nothing you can do for past circumstances, but please. Do something to fix the operations within this leg of the company.
Showed up for a appointment that I scheduled told them on the phone what I needed gave me a price when I showed told me they dont do that job blamed it on there call center which the call center transfer me to them to confirm it so I ended up going up the road to Pep Boys on a Sunday and they got me write in no problems at all and I didnt even have an appointment so for Mavis I dont know
Took my vehicle in for tires they tried to sell me all kinds of parts that i know i didnt need so i said no they pulled it out of there garage with a busted break line and refused to fix it it wasnt leaking when it was pulled in. They just want your money they dont care about you.
First off went to get my car inspected and ruined 2 lug nuts tried to deny it then took my inspection sticker off they failed me and did not put on a 10 day temperory sticker called them told them they telling me to get it towed to get it fixed but now Im left without a car to drive to get things done they are trying to force me to get me to fix the car at their place I dont go to shops to fix my cars just because they all scam people

2022-02-15This place went above and beyond for me!! They did my brakes last week and did a phenomenal job. I made the mistake of trying to go to Walmart to get tires on. They were straight up too lazy to install them and kept giving me excuses. I went to Mavis to get my tires installed (like I should have from the start) and again amazing service! Way to go Paul and Ashley! My go to place!
