I dropped my car off at the Walden Mavis at 3pm on Thursday April 28th. I set up an appointment to have 4 tries balanced and mounted and a wheel alignment. I didn’t receive my car until 11am on Friday the 29th. This is the second time this shop has kept my car for over 20 hours for a 2 hour job. So for the second time I had to take a day from work and lose a days pay. To top it off I paid over 400 dollars for the service I received and my tpms sensors that was recommended to be changed doesn’t work. I’ve taken all my cars to this shop in the past. These delays and inconvenience just started with the New crew.
I stopped at the Mavis in Walden NY to get a price for an alignment on my BMW. The service rep asked for the year, make, and model. He gave me a price of $99.99 and said that I could drop it off at noon the next day. After I dropped it off, the service rep called me and said that the alignment is now $169.99, because it is a European car. $70 more than I was quoted for an alignment that is no different than any American or Asian car(I used to do alignments on the same BMWs in my previous career). Needless to say, I took the car to another shop and no difference in their price because of being a European car. This is my second bad experience at this Mavis in the last 2 months. There wont be a third.

Got here to get the car balanced and alignment. They showed me the rear shock absorbers which I recognized, needed to be replaced. Got a very good deal on it! Staff is helpful and explaining. Fact is that I am a certified mechanic, and they truly did not sell me air, quite the opposite! They are good! Straight to the point. Will surely recommend, and certainly return!

Today was my first time using Mavis in Walden and it was a great experience! Needed a battery and I probably wasn’t there a half an hour and I was on my way. Asked for prices on tires and prices were very competitive. When I’m ready for tires I’ll definitely return. If I have any complaint, it would be that they are not a full service garage. I had a few other things going on with my car and would have happily had them fix it if they could have.
After a disastrous experience at a Mr. Tire in Vestal, NY, where the managers only interest was profit and not customer. I ended up in the Walden Mavis due to road trouble, on a Sunday mind you. My front brakes were seizing up making continued travel impossible. After cooling down I drove to Mavis, The only auto shop open on a Sunday.The manager there, Juan Rosa, restored my faith in humankind. With the help of his associate, Tyler Cook, a road test was given, a complete inspection of the calipers, disk and pads, fluid, everything, even noticing that the used snow tires that were installed two days earlier, were illegal and should not have been installed. The spare tire was checked, found flat, repaired with a new stem. In the end, all of this service was performed without charge! ¨We didn´t find anything, and I´m not going to charge you for a stem.¨ Unbelievable! In a world where customer service is an outdated concept from the fifties, This manager is a breath of fresh air. Even his crew reflected the same caring attitude. Well done Mavis, well done.
Abu was the best and so was the manager. I was stranded on a Sunday and the manager asked Abu to help me fix my tire soon as I pulled up! Excellent company will have my return business!

Juan is the man! Very prompt service, everyone goes the extra mile at this location. The mechanics even put the donut back under the car without me even asking!! I have used Mavis in Walden multiple times and they are always wonderful and willing to work with you. My past experiences with Mark has had me coming back but my most recent visit I worked with Steven and Kareem. They helped me even with a time constraint. When the work was more then expected they told the time to explain to me exactly why it needed to be done and helped me with options. The work was done quickly before needed. They were able to help me above and beyond. I would definitely recommend going to them. They are honest and professional and take the time to make sure you understand what is needed or being done to your car.
My experience here was amazing! Called ahead to get my tire patched and they where able to service me right away, didn’t wait long at all! Great service 10/10 recommend!
Juan was incredibly helpful and the rest of the staff worked fast and efficiently. They were more than happy to walk me through what I needed help with, what my car needed, and all services were reasonably priced.
Its a mixed bag with this place. On one hand they can fit you in on short notice and with reasonable prices to boot. Customer service is great but they get scared easily with anything more complex than brakes or oil changes. I brought my pickup in with a loose bolt on the 4x4 transfer case to engine. I drive 150 to 200 miles a day to work and needed this resolved immediately. After their tech looks at it, he agrees that its a simple fix and it shouldnt be driven until its tightened. I leave it for that repair and a oil change to give them more business. After i pick it up and drive away, they ignored the bolt tightening! I returned and got a story about they couldnt turn the bolt! A quick trip to a real service shop and in 15 min they fixed it, no problems.
I brought my car in for an oil change and a tire rotation. I got an update phone call from Mavis letting me know when it would be done and that they noticed my rear shock was leaking oil and told me I should bring it into the dealership to have it looked at. I did 2 days later and I needed 2 new shocks. I’m so thankful they let me know because I had no idea. Great work, good price, and helped me out!
Jonathan , was amazing. I thought I was going to have to buy a new tire for my Ford Explorer. Imagine my surprise when he was able to repair my flat. Exceptional service! Nothing but postivie experiences at this location which is why , I will continue to utilize and recommend Mavis Discount Tire in Walden.

This is my go to place for all my automobile needs. I own a BMW and I have serviced it at his location. The price is right and the service is exceptional. I got a screw in my tire on a Sunday when all the other tire places were closed but Mavis took care of it right away, even though they were busy. I’ve used the Mavis in Walden a few times and they are always fast and the prices are reasonable with no surprise charges and they do a good job. I’m grateful they’ve always been there to help when my whole day goes downhill because of my car and they turn it around so it doesn’t become more like a whole bad week.
I have been using this Mavis station for a while now, and I can not express how courteous the staff is there. Tyler has done the service on my vehicle the last couple of times and his timeliness is awesome. Clean, neat and quick every time. Kareem and Steven are also extremely professional and courteous. They kept me informed the whole time while my truck was being serviced. I would highly recommend this Mavis service shop to anyone.
These guys are good at what they do and they do it with a smile. I was a bit hesitant when I brought my Tesla in for an emergency flat repair to a Discount Tire but they took it with a smile and worked with me though the quirks of getting it jacked up and fixed. Took a while but I had a great experience with the staff and the price was right. Would recommend.

I love going to this Mavis. I always find Mavis more affordable than other places. This one is clean and the manager is awesome! After my most recent visit I was able to get two filters changed and two wipers for the same price the dealership was going to charge me for one filter. Despite being busy the manager helped me quickly and was extremely nice!

The day before my vacation my car broke and we went straight to mavis in walden where Steve and Chris found the problem and fixed it immediately to keep my family on track for our vacation. They were super friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and as far as price goes they beat every single price I quoted all around. I will be going back with all my vehicles and I highly highly suggest all my friends and family to go as well.
Always go here. Ivan was great. Tire came off the beed on the side of the road. Took it off and brought it to them. Even though they were packed they were able to get me in and out in 5 minutes. So I can get my truck off the side of the road. I was in pine bush when this happened and the mavis in pine bush would not take the 5 minutes to help me. So if you ever have to go to a mavis in these areas highly reccomend mavis of walden!

Ive never had a bad experience at the Walden Mavis location. Kareem is beyond professional and provides impeccable customer service. My wife went off the road and had knocked the bumper off of our Pathfinder. I brought it down to have tires replaced and the front end inspected. After all was said and done, Kareem personally took the time to actually attach the corner of my bumper that had popped off. It was probably something easy and something I could have done myself but he took the time to do it and it doesnt even look like it was damaged. Another time my battery had died. I brought it down to get a new battery but the bays were full. He personally came outside on a 95 degree day and replaced the battery. I was done in minutes. This guy genuinely cares about his customers and makes you want to give him business, I suggest everyone do so.

I stopped by Mavis on a Sunday morning last week with a tire issue. Even though I didn’t have an appointment they looked at my car right away, quickly diagnosed what was wrong and plugged the tire no charge. This is my second good experience with Mavis, and it will keep me coming back!
I went to Mavis Tire in Walden NY to purchase new tires (Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus. Mavis took my snow tires off and mounted the new tires. They also did a front end alignment on my 2021 Subaru WRX. The work took about 2 hours (I waited in the customer area). I always go to Mavis Discount Tire for my automotive needs.
I got my husbands muffler done and they did it right away. They are always easy to deal with and get your car done quickly. They also care about you and your safety of your vehicle. Kareem and all the mechanics are fantastic. They have knowledge and know what their taking about and wont rob your pockets

I recently brought my Rav4 to Mavis with several issues including a leaky tire, exhaust leak, and knocking in the front end, as well as an oil change and not only did Mavis keep the communication lines open with me about the status of my car, but they were really friendly and professional every call and interaction I had with them. I thought my Rav was done for when I brought it in because another shop said they looked at my issues and didn’t fix them or made it seem like it was going to be nearly impossible or incredibly expensive. Mavis assured me that it could all get handled and it did! My car feels brand new again and I’m ecstatic! I would recommend Mavis to anyone. Friendly, helpful, professional, and even saved me as much money as they could with the coupons they had available for me!

Kareen was super professional , patient and completely transparent about the whole process. I am extremely OCD about my vehicle and I brought him brand new expensive wheels and tires to be mounted. Actually a 1 star is too high of a rating. The manager is unprofessional and unwilling to take blame. Had my car in there to get a tire. Ended up getting 2 tires and alignment. I had 3 bad lugnuts on the one wheel, had to use a hammer to pound on my socket so i could put spare on night before. I get the car back and those same lugnuts are still on my car. Asked my sister-in-law if mavis said anything to her about lugnuts and she said no. Called store and asked to speak with manager. When manager picked up phone he answered hello. No name or nothing, told him situation. He put me on hold, came back and said lugnuts were rusted and that they had to hammer on socket to get off. Manager said he didnt do job and didnt know. Its a 4 bay shop, manager should be in shop. Asked manager for district managers name and number, but said he didnt have number and gave me corporate number to call. Told him I will be calling NYSDMV on Monday to file a complaint. I dont expect any call back or response from corporate office.
Walden Mavis has saved me on multiple occasions. They always make me feel like I as the customer am put first and like they want to make sure my car is safe and taken care of without breaking the bank. Special shout out to Kareen for always giving me the best deal!! These guys are the best!
Made an appointment to have my tire plugged, was told thered be a 2 hour wait, so I scheduled to drop it off and come back later to grab my car. By the time I called my ride to pick me up and get off the phone, Steve had my tire plugged and ready to drive. Gotta say he was very quick, and didnt expect it to be that fast. Anticipate long wait times for most things, but if you need a tire plugged basically ASAP, go here. 👍

Great place to go for tires! I needed tires for my Hyundai Genesis coupe. Its got a weird size not to mention a very expensive type. Mark and Jaun helped me when I got there. Not only did they order me a set of tires that would save me a ton of money, they also helped me diagnose and fix a problem with my heat. They went above and beyond and I really recommend them.
Really professional store along with staff. My needs were met accurately and efficiently. Mark and Rich were able to address my concerns along with break down exactly what it is I needed. I very much appreciated that and was thankful for the services I was provided by them. Overall, I rate this store 5 stars and would definitely recommend. For now on this is going to be my go to.

I went to the store because its local and it was a Sunday morning and all I needed was a plug for a tire that had gone flat overnight. The store flatly refused to help said I need to make an appointment for 2 days later. For a plug. I wouldnt leave a review except that the Mavis in Middletown on 211 East got me in immediately and they were super helpful, and super friendly.

I was having issues with my tire leaking and went in for a replacement. Prior to just changing the tire out, they offered to try and fix the leak if they could. Which they did. They took the time to take the best approach and do right by the customer. Great customer service!
Always great service. All the staff are very polite and clearly explain what the issues are with the vehicle. They give you options and don’t try to force you to make a decision, like other places do. I really appreciate the great service I get every time and I feel very comfortable taking my vehicle there!
This is by far the best Mavis in the area. Always a great experience every time I use them for any tire or suspension related issues I have. As a person that knows a thing or two about car mechanics theyve never deceived, overcharged, or took advantage of a situation. Honest and reliable.I would say the only thing negative was one time I had work done on my car there was a bit of grease on my door handle and inside the door. But not a big deal, just wiped it off. Still 5 stars.
I was a bit unsure at first as most of us are with having a new battery put in at Mavis because I had never used there service. But after speaking with Rich, the supervisor and having him explain that they had the battery and could replace it in a short time I was so happy. Rich explained who would do the repair and it was replaced within an hour!! I didnt have to take time off of work and everything was back to normal. The price was fair and reasonable. Thanks Rich!

Not a bad place. The young man who helped me (I cant recall his name, but he was a young Black man) was very helpful and courteous to me, and my car was serviced well. His coworkers could stand to learn something from him however.It was very busy the last time I was there, which was for breaks and rotors. The bustle was understandable. What wasnt was how the other employees were of very little help to him. The young man had said hello to me, but had gotten busy. I sat waiting after my appointment time for 20 minutes, which can happen at a place like this. BUT I as long as I waited, not once did any other individuals check on me, even though I was in full view of them, and no other customers needed assistance. One of them, who I assumed to be the manager, even went so far as to embarrass the young man in front of customers, instead of taking him aside to speak with him. It was very sad and annoying to watch. Goes to show you that not every supervisor is a leader.Eventually, having received no further acknowledgement or assistance, I quietly left. My time is very valuable to me, and I can sit at home and accomplish nothing. I will come again, as it is conveniently close to my home, and the young man was very kind. Even dealing with unhelpful coworkers and managers, and the disregard of my time, he at least showed great customer service.

Its a wonderful feeling in the times that we live where you can go and not be conned, over charged and wonderful service. Thank you all at Mavis in Walden. Kareem is an amazing manager and definitely has made it so that I will not bring my car anywhere else for service. You do need to be able to do inspections. The only thing, for me, that you lack in. Also let me say Rich is in the same category as Kareem. Because of them I will continue to have my car cared for at Mavis.

These guys were so professional and helpful to everyone that walked into the place. And its a busy place. The manager, tall blonde guy, was so nice to all the customers. Taking his time to go look at every situation personally.
I spoke with Kareen about work done on my car at another place to see if it was done right. He was so kind and went into detail to explain everything in a way that was so easy to understand. He knows his trade well! I felt much better afterwards.

Absolutely wonderful staff at this location. They listen to you as a customer when you know something is wrong, and will work with you to give the best price for whatever repairs you need. I use this specific store for 98% of all my maintenance/fixes.
Great guys at this location, always prompt service, great prices, the assistant manager Liam was a huge help, doing whatever needed to get the customer’s cars in and out as quick as possible but making sure the work is perfect as well. The manager Kareen(sorry if I spelt that wrong) is also awesome. These guys deserve a raise!
Horrible experience . I made a 1pm appointment and was told it would be about an hour. By 4pm no one had touched my car, so I took my keys and left. I will never go back to this location. What’s the point of even making an appointment?!
You know that feeling you get when you drop your car off at a shop and wonder what BS theyll feed you about everything thats wrong with it and needs to be fixed? I hate that feeling... and thats exactly why I bring my car here and nowhere else. These guys are just great. So trustworthy, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are genuinely concerned and not just trying to make as much money as they can. I always feel good leaving this shop
Very friendly staff, they make sure everything is right with your vehicle. They dont lie to or force any unnecessary repair on you. They are a honest Repair Shop. The Managers are especially great and polite...Kareen is very helpful in explaining EVERYTHING thats going on with the repair of your vehicle before you gives the go-ahead.
They do great work here and really strive to take care of their customers. Anything you need done on your car I would recommend taking it to Mavis in Walden.

Ive been going here for 6 years since I bought my car and I trust these guys with my suspension needs. Ive replaced 2 pairs of struts, shocks, tires and my brakes all around. I was surprised to see kareem back! I just needed a brake light he took care of me 1, 2, 3 I didnt even wait which was nice because I was having a rough morning. Kareen and Rich are class A people. They are both knowledgeable, professional and explain what your car needs and why. Always trying keep in consideration the individual needs and suggesting in priority order. I’ve been around auto shops most of my life and know what’s reasonable and trust me their prices are right. They stand by their work which is a huge plus!! To me mechanics are like barbers, once I find one that I like I stay loyal!! Keep going back, develop a relationship you will be happy!
Needed 2 tires repaired on a Sunday afternoon and my check engine light needed to be looked at. Mat the service attendant front desk was very professional, very pleasant and accommodating. Both tires were repaired for very little cost and the mechanic showed me on both tires where the repair was needed. Unfortunately the check engine light needed more attention then my time allowed. The mechanic also was very polite, patient and accommodating. The store was very clean, neat and organized and the mechanics area the same. We discussed oil change and its cost - defiantly will be back. OVERALL I give this place of business a 5 star!

Kareen was really great. As a female a lot of mechanics try to take advantage and charge high or say things need to get done that arent urgent. He was straight forward with me and was really empathetic to my needs and abilities as a customer. Ive used this Mavis before, but I will 100% come back to Kareen and the team there as well as highly recommend them for their work and customer service. He really made my crappy day a little better. The parent company is inept. I call to make an appointment. They provide an order number and tell me no appointment required. I show up , they tell sorry come back in four hours. How can such a huge company have such a pathetically flawed system? They tried to offer me a deal to come back. I will never go back.

Came from Long Island and I have done a lot of work on my Land Rover and recently had new tires put on. The shop that installed the tires was busy and had no time to adjust the alignment. My wife and I were headed upstate early Saturday morning and had a little time so we started looking for a tire shop that does alignments and after a couple of shops that weren’t opened, we ended up at mavis. I explained to the service guy that I had replaced the tie rods, both inner and outer a month after I had an alignment done after replacing the rear upper control arms on the Land Rover. I asked if they could just do the adjustment on the tie rods for me and he said sure, give him a few as the tech had to finish up on an alignment he was already working on. They got my Land Rover did the adjustment for a reasonable price and was in and out in about an hour. The service guy was awesome to have a conversation with and they did an excellent job. I recommend anyone in the area that needs an alignment and tires that’s in the area.

Had appointment. Told tech I needed to wait which is why I preferred an appt. Was two hours before my vehicle entered the shop....for an oil change and tire rotation. Two and a half hours has come and gone, still waiting....my vehicle is finally on the lift. Tech claims the specialized lift my van requires was occupied for longer than expected.My response I had an appointment.The only reason I come here is for the free tire rotations because I bought my tires at a reputable STS shop before it turned Mavis and service declined...by that I mean the place became impossible to deal with due to lies and misleading new management named Mike.Complete waste of my time here today. I will gladly pay for rotations elsewhere from now on.Staff polite here, thats the second star...but this is the end for me. Need tires soon...will not get them here at any price.

I was coming home from work today and as I get off the highway, my tire pressure light comes on. In a panic, I pull into the gas station to fill up. Getting out of the car I could hear a very loud hiss. There was a scew stuck deep in there! I drove right to Mavis! With the snow coming, it was packed at 830 PM. The guy behind the desk said he couldnt get to it until 12 PM the next day and asked me to leave it there overnight. Distraught because I had work in the am, i went over to the parts store to fix it myself. Kareen, the manager, came running in. He said he could fix it quick for me. He personally sat outside on the cold ground and plugged it up!! Thank you Kareen!! I will forever use Mavis in Walden for everything now! He even filled it back up for me and made sure it wasnt leaking! So amazed by the customer service at this location! If I could rate higher I would!!

I have been using Mavis for years at various locations throughout Orange and Rockland and the Walden shop is by far the best! The customer service is excellent. I wont go anywhere else now.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! They tried to sell me a bunch of things I know arent in need of replacement in my car. They tried to sell me 4 struts when all of my struts are fine. They stripped all of my lug nuts. These people are horribly incompetent. Theyre burger flippers with impact wrenches. Dont go here unless you want to be ripped off. GO TO A REAL REPUTABLE MECHANIC!
Went in for an oil change..found a brake problem..offered to show it to us. fixed it and did oil change in reasonable amount of time. very nice guy working there..great service. i like it that they keep records of your car for future reference.

Never have I ever dealt with such disrespect towards a tow truck operator. Their level of communication is that of a 6 month old. The manager with the scar across very rude and not a very reasonable person, has a temper tantrum and storms off, rather than using his big boy words and talking it out like an adult. The technician Francis a hot tempered individual whos only form of communication is by pointing and laying on the horn of a customers car than threatens to beat me up because I asked for his name so I could leave them a negative review with Mavis Corporate.I dont know if the Sunday staff is the B Team, But I will no longer drop vehicles off there , as long as those two knuckleheads are employed at that location.

Probably my bad for making an appointment on veterans day, but i was there from 11am to 3:30pm. The staff was really friendly and eager to answer questions, which is why i will probably come back (not on a holiday).

2022-02-11I went to this location in order to buy some tires, an alignment, oil change, etc. I called over the phone prior to showing up to make sure they would be able to service my vehicle. I met with the manager, who was pleasant, but unfortunately that’s where any positivity ends. I dropped my car off at around 1PM and at 5PM I decided to call them to make sure that they were working on my car. I was assured that my vehicle would be the next one to be serviced. I arrived at the location right before closing, only to find that they had not touched my car. It was in the same place I parked it. The manager apologized but ultimately told me that they were not going to be able to get to my car that day. I ended up taking it somewhere else and they gave me a way better deal with better service. I will not be returning to Mavis after this experience. If I were you, I would take my car and money elsewhere.

Helped me out to get my car done in the same day and worked in my price range. Great and excellent customer service! Danielle went above and beyond for me & my car! 2022-06-04Amazing service by Danielle and her employees. I am from out of state and my car began to act up as I was driving home with my 2 children. The problem was diagnosed within minutes that the alternator went and they took it in to fix right away. Took maybe half an hour and I was on my way. 100% satisfied and I definitely recommend this shop.

2021-11-28Was really stressed out all mavis tire shops were too busy for me I came here pleading to have tire fix for work Monday morning. Mr. Ivan at the counter reassured me he would help me in less then five minutes I had my tire fixed and I was on my way. I had mixed reviews about mavis but this definitely changed my mind. Very helpful and definitely deserves 5 star rating thank you mavis you truly saved me a urber ride Monday morning.

2022-06-20They experience was horrible I spent close to a little over 1000 dollars and they did not fix the problem. Every time I took the car comparing to them the problem is not fix they kept telling me it was something different. They basically earned those 1000 dollars for free . I do not recommend bringing your car in might as well take it to the dealer . When I took my car to the Honda dealer the suppose item I replace through Mavis was never replace.

They were able to take me through the list of problems with my car and fixed the problem I came in for and in addition gave me my next free oil change.
