CareMount Medical in other cities:
Before having a medical procedure performed, my adult son asked a nurse to verify that the work would be covered by his insurance. She told him she checked with his insurance company and confirmed that the procedure was covered. It wasnt. The bill was staggering. My son would never have had the procedure if he had been given the right information. He couldnt get anyone to help him, so I tried to help out. My experience with Care-Not Medical was horrendous. I spent hours on the phone and got nowhere. At the very end, I asked the customer service rep if she thought it was CareMounts responsibility to be accountable for bad information that was given by their employee and she said unequivocally, NO! In summary, if you have a problem with CareMount, you will not find anyone to talk to who has the authority or desire to help. It seems that they are taught to set up roadblocks to insulate them from patients who have legitimate problems caused by the incompetance of their employees or their system.
Went there to get stitches for my son. The wait was long, there didn’t seem to be any prioritizing of urgency, so my son’s chin started clotting before it had been stitched, the nurse lied to him about anesthetizing my son, and then after that, he wouldn’t trust any doctor that touched him- even at a well visit, because he is now afraid of being poked without being informed and being able to prepare for it. 1 of his stitches fell out a day later. And then we were charged $360 just for him being a new patient, when he has indeed been there before. I called billing about 30 times and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. We will never ever come back here again. I’m very frustrated by how badly this was done on every level.
We received the unfortunate news that a loved one departed and plans were set in motion to reserve an international flight the following day. Of course this would be impossible without appropriate rapid COVID testing. The lab technician and lab supervisor (Brielle BiglinKim Onorati) went above and beyond to ensure that test results would be made available in a short period of time. Kim provided us with her mobile number and guided us not only through the process but ensured that we would have results letter in hand prior to flying. The following morning Kim followed up with her staff and the doctor to secure the letter detailing COVID results. We are beyond thrilled at their care, compassion, understanding and commitment to help us during our moment of need. In the midst of our grief they were the true shining lights that helped us immeasurably. We are thankful and grateful to them and whoever reads this please know that these women are the real sheroes of Caremount Medical. They are far more valuable and appreciated and it’s our hope that you will acknowledge them amongst their peers! Heartfelt thanks! YH & NH
I have a couple of doctors at Caremount and now drive 30 mins. for one and 45 mins. for another since I moved. I dont want to change them. Surprised at the bad reviews. Yes, the phones need to be improved. The hold time can be very long. But, I also had Covid. I could not get a hospital to see me in Dutchess county where I live. Was having trouble breathing and was told by the hospitals the wait time was over 4-5 hrs. Could not care less I was having difficulty breathing. To my surprise, I tried to schedule a virtual visit with Caremount and a doctor was available on New Years Day. I booked a morning appointment. Told the doctor about my trouble breathing, etc. She called a hospital in Westchester and told me to go there. I got to that hospital and within 2 mins. they had me on a heart monitor, etc. Was great, that she helped me out and the hospital in Westchester was also wonderful.
We love our doctors but the group has been horrible since switching from MKMG.. number 1 issue has been with the billing.. a nurse told me something was covered by insurance but never told me there would be a $500 copay was number 1.. husband went for a physical and gets a bill for over $600 when our insurance covers our physicals.. the last straw was the older lady with glasses at the front desk of the pediatric department. She always seems miserable so we usually avoid her and go to the other lady, but when I had to deal with her, she was just so rude and arrogant. I asked her to give the doctor a message to call me and she was so rude telling me the doctor couldn’t do anything different then what she was telling me. Whether this was true or not (which it wasn’t) just smile and say no problem, why do you have to be so rude?
I updated this review after long consideration after my surgery for the radiologist and the nurse on IV that day as It appears the radiologist misread my chart or radiograph, forwarded the wrong information stating that I did not need surgery when in fact I did. The nurse was sub par in attitude and she will never touch me again. My surgeon got me in extremely quickly but I still suffered more and may have more damage as I was told to vigorously exercise when in fact I should not have been, and I wonder if I was the only misdiagnosed patient from the radiologist at that time.I think the biggest problem with all these places is I’m still seeing fabric either on carpeting or chairs as well as a very dirty stained chair and or other things that need to be thrown away at this point because this practice brings in plenty of money.
While it’s convenient to blame the enormous burden of the pandemic, it seem to me that the failure of this practice to maintain adequate communication between patients and providers goes back decades. The care one receives once facing an actual physician is quite good in general. But getting an actual response when using the Portal? Rare except for one or two dedicated docs; most of my emails to docs are unread or ignored. Getting an appt on the Portal? Prepare to see “physician extender.”Getting through on the phone? As difficult as it was 15 years ago. Prepare to wait 15 -20 mins or get hung up on. The culture at this practice allows providers to lament the indifference and inadequacies and affirm these realities. But nothing actually changes. That would start at the top, and apparently that’s not happening.
Re: Brewster facility. Abysmal service. The service was so bad I have given up, and moved to another provider. I was calling as a new patient, and was told the first available appointment was in 5 months. Having waited 5 months, I needed to reschedule due to a family bereavement. When I called to reschedule I was told I would have to wait 5 more months and then was put on hold for over an hour. I gave up before I reached anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would. The doctors and nurses may be fantastic - but good luck trying to get to them. Utterly, utterly abysmal.
This is THE WORST urgent care or medical experience I have ever had. The customer service is horrid. My boyfriend went to get tested for something only to have the doctor make him feel badly for getting tested and the doctor said “I’m positive you’re negative” which a doctor should never say. Then we never heard from them and we called to find his results only to have them say they weren’t sure if they lost the test or not. They said they would call us again to update us.... nothing. We called again and they said they lost the test and he’d have to come in again and take it again. Then they called and said they found the test. Then they called with the results and put us on hold, transferred us to the lab and then transferred us back to the office and no one is picking up. I’ve never been so furious at the lack of customer service. Horrible.
This company is all about money and dosent care for its patients. scheduling appointments are minimum 3 months out on average. They wont even test people for covid without payment. and how is it that NY State wont even give them a vaccine for its patients yet all employees have been vaccinated and its march of 2021. i wish the Hudson Valley had an alternative health care option for this area because Caremount really does SUCK.
Took my mom here & the people doing the blood work were incredibly aggressive. Fishing in her arm to try to locate a vein, then called another nurse to come take the blood who was so rude and aggressive and just plunged the needle in the other arm. Excessively aggressive and poor treatment of an elderly patient who doesn’t speak much English.
Used to have problems before, now again. Today in the morning call to them about covid test they said come on our parking lot and we will do test. Ok, when i came on parking lot i call them and they said i must fill their form, provide to them all information and insurance then i must pay 25$ copay fee. test suppose to be for free. they said i must pay because i am visiting doctor. i said i am on parking lot waiting for test. they said no money no test. I can pay 25$ without any problems but will not pay even 1 cent for those ...... last time i have problem with my elbow and for 15 min with doctor they charge me over 4000$
My experience with Dr. Pierre A. Bruneau was pleasant enough, however, his office staff leaves little to be desired. I had an appointment with Dr. Bruneau today, I called to let them know that I may arrive five minutes late as I was traveling from Stamford to Brewster during rush hour. I left my job at 330 for a 445 appointment; when I looked at my navigator my ETA was 452, my appointment was scheduled for 445. While enroute I received not one but two calls from the receptionist wanting to know what time I would be arriving. When I told her once again that I maybe a little late she placed me on hold and called the nurse, when she returned to the line she told me that the nurse, Ann, had said that if I couldnt be on time I should reschedule, heres the rub, I was in front of the building and I could not get parking because the lot was full and the valet was no where to be found!!!!The fact that I received two calls while driving from the receptionist whose only purpose was to hurry me along was absolutely insane, seriously who does this? I was extremely stressed not to mention that I could have gotten into an accident. When I finally arrived I was told at first that I would not be seen, however the patient relationship coordinator later advised that the doctor would see me, however, he would see the patients who arrived on time first, which means that I would have to wait until possibly 7 p.m. The only reason I did not make it up in a timely manner was because I could not get parking in their facility! Interestingly enough there was another patient who arrived 5 minutes late and she was put through the same drill.I have had two previous appointments with this doctor and both times he was running late, I patiently waited for him. The office coordinator also mentioned that the doctor sees 1 patient ever 15 minutes, welcome to managed care! The office staff was rude and belligerent and for that reason along I asked for a copy of my file so I can take my business elsewhere. It is amazing how customer service seems to have gone out the window!
Doctor Kira Olugebafola is awesome. Actually every pediatrician my kids have seen so far has been amazing. However there is a nurse in the pediatric department that has been rude to me twice, sarcastic, and the final straw was she took my call because my son was having some issues and she said she would call me back after she spoke to the doctor but she never called. I had to call the office myself to find out what the doctor wanted me to do for my son. Have I been absent minded lately, yes! I have two older children and a newborn so I am suffering from sleep deprivation, however that is no reason for her to be rude to me. I even said to her Im sorry that I am not thinking clearly because Im not sleeping properly. But she was very sarcastic and rude anyway. She just had absolutely zero patience. I have to find out her name and have a nice chat with her supervisor because I pay way too much money to caremount medical to be treated this way. Besides the fact that what defines a nurse is caring for people physically and emotionally, and she really sucks at her job. This is why I gave only one star.
At urgent care they made me wait for 2&1/2hrs just to hear that radiology closes at 3pm in the weekend. I had made very clear that I knew I needed a cat scan when I checked in. All the doctor said was to go to the ER. Horrible. Last year they send my husband home stating he had a stomach virus. I work in the medical field myself and know my husband so I took him to the ER, he had an appendectomy within a few hrs!! The staff may be nice but definitely not knowledgeable. NEVER going there again!!
This review concerns their radiology department. First, the reception people were rude, unhelpful, and officious. Second, something everyone should bear in mind when considering using these facilities. The charge $10 every time you need to obtain a copy of your MRI/X`ray, etc, in addition to the thousand of dollars they charge in the first place. Every other radiology department I have dealt with, perform this minor task without charging. If you need to show the results to more than one doctor, you may be in for a significant, unnecessary rip-off charge.
Horrible. The way they Caremount Medical is managing their patients during this pandemic is simply incentive.and unprofessional Twice I tried calling to speak to someone regarding not feeling well and unless you can do a virtual visit they wont even speak to you. I am unable to do a virtual visit and was told by Emily who works with Dr. Bacay at Carmel office to call back when I can with no other assistance. I finally ask if my doctor could just give me a call please and I was told not until Monday and today is Saturday. Just horrible.
Customer Service terrible terrible terrible. It took THREE TWEETS to get a person who look at my account and then explained it.Not only did I try to call way way before 2020, it was blame one the virus. And then apparently the phone disconnected instead on the women who intentionally hung up on me. I called four times after that and left my number but no callback. That was in February. And then there was additional charges on my account and they didn’t tell me that when I asked to see records. Not only that, my bill reduced after I called them today... So why is my bill now decreased???Can’t be trusted. This company makes excuses for just bills what else excuses will they make in our health. I thought this medical staff can be TRUSTED I was wrong. CaremountMedical CAN NOT be trusted.
This review is about the Brewster facility. The building is filthy. The entry and hallway carpets are dirty. The waiting room chairs have stains on them. The sinks in the men’s room do not turn on except for one. The parking lot is a nightmare. I despise coming to this facility. The employees are great, it’s just that this building and lot are too small for the amount of patients that are seen here.
I just wanted my vaccination shot and was told via email to go to the CareMount office in Brewster just to arrive and be told that vaccines were being given elsewhere, yet they couldn’t tell me where. It was an even bigger waste of time trying to contact the office via phone because nobody ever picks up anyways.
When caremount medical was known as Mount Kisco medical group, things seemed to be better. Doctors are ALWAYS booked months in advance. Not only that, but when you make an appointment, it’s useless because after waiting 6 months for an appointment, you arrive to wait at least another 30 minutes to an hour before you’re seen. The receptionist are always rude, and seem miserable. God forbid you’re running 10-15 minutes late for an appointment and they make you reschedule, and tell you you can’t be seen. I never write reviews because I know what it’s like to work with people all day and have a bad day, but everytime I go to the Brewster location I’m treated rudely. Strongly considering switching doctors.
1 star only because the front desk staff is very nice. I tried to avoid this place like the plague, this morning, I had no choice. I have chronic bronchitis, same time every year, against my better judgement today, I went in nurse was nice, the dr, not so much, dismissed my symptoms, kept telling me I dont have what I know I have, wouldnt prescribe the medication that my regular dr prescribes every time, I get bronchitis, ( (on average 2-3x per year ) pointed out what my usual course of treatment is and he replied I dont know what your GP does I am now out of work a night, and have to take the morning off of work to see my actual dr, if he can fit me in tmw. In the mean time, instead of actually starting my first day of meds, I have to wait a day and continue to be miserable. Waste of a morning, waste of money for my insurance. Should note I am ONLY talking about the urgent care... not the entire facility
Why cant CareMount have different telephone numbers for different departments. (probably not cost effective--so what)...It is a nightmare getting through the main # and yesterday it took me a half hour to get an appt. Now today all the lines are down. Patients want to talk to at least a clinical staff member and that is a nightmare. Please consider patients when evaluating your phone system as most patients do not have the time to wait on hold indefinitely....thank you
Husband went Monday to Urgent Care Rte 312. Doctor prescribed amoxycillen and prednisone, 20 mg. Pharmacy tried calling to see if 10 mg could be doubled (didnt have 20 mg). No answer. I called and SPOKE WITH A NURSE WHO SAID SHE WOULD CALL the pharmacy. Expected to get a call Tuesday that script was filled. No call! I called pharmacy this morning, Wednesday, and was told Urgent Care never called. Pharmacy called this morning and left message. No call back. I called Pharmacy this afternoon to see what was going on. Said would try again. Got a call at 5:25 saying Urgent Care FINALLY picked up phone and was able to get straightened out. URGENT CARE NEEDS TO FOLLOW UP BETTER...GET MORE HELP!
Long wait time people up front were rude and the doctors were EXTREMELY rude, First vist I didnt even recive help even tho. I was running a temp over 100 for days and then the second trip I went in with a defendant sinus infection and all she did was scrap each ear once because she saw a little bit of wax barely anything came out and in doing so my ears started to bleed and it was painful, she said it was normal but Im pretty sure it was not and that was it no antibiotics nothing but a ridiculous bill for ear wax removal and cleaning, My ears were still bleeding days after ended up going somewhere else for my ears and like i suspected it was not normal, Also insurance was not applied so I had to have a bill resubmit to my insurance still waiting months later and in the mean time I was sent to collections for not paying it and didnt recive a letter stating that this was going to happen until after they already sent me to collections, So all the way around horrible service would not go here!
This review is for the radiology department. I had an old sonogram that I needed a CD for. I called them in the morning and got it by the end of the day! It sounds like nothing but I needed it for a comparison for an appointment the next day and most of the time getting a cd is a huge hassle and they made it quick and painless and I thank them for that. Very satisfied with their service.
Nurses and front desk are nice especially with the rude people they have to deal with. 3 stars because the closest spots are taken up for unnecessary valet parking instead of handicapped ones. Just another thing they can claim to charge us more for when we get our medical bills! Its a health care building, not a 5 star hotel.
I just came from urgent care today. After reading the reviews I was hesitant to go there. I was pleasanty surprised and happy that i decided to go. Everyone who works there were so cordial and helpful and attentive. I hope that in the future they receive more positive feedback.
Was told i did not have ring worm but it was “ in the category “ , went to ER next day right away was told it’s 100% ring worm... went for lump in my arm was told hair follicles to use topical no antibiotics .. wound up in ER yet again was told i have an abscess n it was filled w fluid , got put on antibiotics right away and a higher dose of a pain medicine since my pcp would not prescribe me an 800mg advil..... Changing myPCP now cause this is just getting to be too much
Horrible experience. They advertise themselves as an urgent care facility but bill as a private doctor visit. HMO insurance doesnt allow you to visit another doctor without a referral. Therefore the payment is denied and you get stuck with the bill. Beware the underhanded and fraudulent advertising practices of Care mount.
I had the worst experience in pediatric office in Brewster ever . One of the lady’s who’s work in the front desk ( the old one with curly hair ) is the most arrogant and rude person what I ever meet in whole my live . I dont know why would anyone want her to work in an office that deals with kids. ... .I dont want to go into details but I will not leave it like that
My wife went in to get her x-rays from their office. She waited patiently online and was passed over by the staff twice. 2 individuals jumped the line and were not asked to wait. The staff did not acknowledge the issue. I find this highly unprofessional and will tell everyone I know to avoid this facility if they can.
I went in with a broken tibia and was treated with great service, had Xray on the spot and cat scan and went right over to the orthopedic surgeon for consultation, great service so far. Waiting back for authorization for MRI and to see whats in store to get me off crutches and walking again A+ service
Went into see my doctor Roxan Saidi last Friday at 2:20 PM was not seen until almost 3:20 PM sat in the room for an hour waiting for her,After The exam to find out why I had stomach pains she prescribes medication for me but never put it through the pharmacy we tried calling on Saturday Throug the service to tell them that she never prescribed the medication that I needed we tried calling on Sunday same thing never got a response we called on Monday left message with her nurse because she was very busy did not get a response or an answer finally somewhere in The middle of the afternoon I was able to get in touch with a manager and told her what has happened that I was in excruciating pain finally around 4:30 PM the medication was sent to my pharmacy suffer for 4 days I was in a lot of pain On Tuesday for Dr. Saidi finally called me And profusely apologized saying how sorry she was for not getting back to me and not sending the medication to the pharmacy and I told her that there is no excuse For her not responding to all my calls so I am never going to see that doctor ever again

2021-12-23Urgent caring while black!!I went to the urgent care on my way home on Monday because my chest was burning with each breath and I was feeling really sick. I got there 7:15, they close 7:45pm!! I was super happy because this was my third urgent care, the other two being closed. I walked in and the receptionist looked at me and said we are closed. I informed her that according to the door tag and website, they are supposed to be opened until 7:45pm. She looked at me and said they had a busy weekend so they decided to close early!!Now today, I’m back at 7:00pm!! I walked up, one person in the waiting room. I’m told they are closed. I said, you are closed at 7:00pm instead of 7:45pm She told me they had a busy day. Mind you, I’m gasping for breath now and you can barely hear me because of the horseless of my voice. I told her this was my second time and I’m being turned away. She says don’t yell at me. I told her I can barely speak, how am I yelling. I took my phone out and snapped a picture, she put her hand up and then ran. I walked out the waiting area. Deciding that I needed to get the number for patients relations, I went back in, just to see them running to lock the door to the back offices. I chuckled and told them I’m not about to break in and attack them. The nursing supervisor told me they met their quota of patients for the day and are not taking anyone else. When I told her I’m going to call patients relations. Her response was that she was not worried. This leads me to believe that this is not an unusual occurrence.

2022-04-18By far the worst places to take your child, I was bringing my daughter here for her first few check ups, she is 6 months old. Every single time I make an appointment I wait over an hour to get into the office. My daughter has been sick the past day so i call them up and get an appointment at 3:30, and within an hour or two of making the appointment my mother in law came home and let’s us know she just tested positive for COVID, so as a courtesy i call them and let them know, and the response i get is “well that changes everything, we are going to have to call you back” they call me back 30 minutes later, 15 minutes before my appointment and tell me my new appointment is at 4:30 and we can not go inside, the doctor will come out and examine her from the car. Well then okay, we show up 15 minutes early call them to let them know we are here , now 30 minutes have gone by if my daughter crying and still no doctor. Give them a call and are told it’s going to be another 45 minutes of waiting in my car. That’s when I lost it, am canceling any other further appointments and are moving to a new pediatrician. I was told there are other patients that need to be seen first, while they are all in side waiting in a waiting room I am stuck outside in my car and my 6 month old has to wait when we were given 2 appointments. Absolutely ridiculous and worst experience ever!

2022-03-29From the security guard, to the front desk staff, to the nurse we have had no issues with this location.Everybody was patient, helpful and friendly.

2021-12-15The only reason Caremount gets two stars is because the pediatrics doctors and nurses are amazing. It would be a five star review if the front desk could manage to book an appointment without transferring us to the nurse’s station EVERY time we call. It shouldn’t take hours two schedule a wellness check or a friggin flu shot. We have had such poor service from staff at the desk and also in the blood lab (front desk of course, doctors and nurses again were great), that we’re considering leaving. Billing is also a joke. What happened to hiring competent people??

2022-05-19I’ve attempted to see a Dr. three times over the last year. However, I can’t seem to make it passed the lobby before being turned away for different reasons. I’ve learned my lesson. I won’t come here.

2022-01-07How at this point is there no established system or preparation for inclement weather? How is it that the day before the proper employees are not told to take contacts home so notifications of cancellations can be made, instead of waking up the day of, drive in and find out that not only are they closed but the appointment you’ve been waiting for for days is now cancelled. This is basic level preparations that are not being implemented and makes absolutely no sense with the level of technology and features available this day in age.

2021-12-30No words to describe how incompetent they are. ONLY reason we are still with them is for my children’s pediatrician who is amazing. Urgent care is a complete JOKE. Told me today were closing early due to “lack of staff and already hit patient quota”. What???? Completely unprepared for Covid THREE YEARS IN!!! Need to wait 2 weeks for a Covid test?? Is that a joke?? If you call good luck getting someone live and if you do they have no clue how to answer your phone call and usually disconnect you. Speaking of Urgent care been there 3 times in 3 years EVERY TIME MISDIAGNOSED. DISGUSTING!!!

2021-12-28Awful. The only good thing is my childs pediatrician, my primary ad OBGYN. Covid helps has been terrible and I have literally been on call all day just trying to speak to a live person. Customer service is non-existent, thats if you can actually even speak to anyone. Time to look for a new practice.

2021-12-20The amount of miscommunication is astounding. There IS an appointment necessary for drive-up testing, which I learned after sitting in line for 35 minutes. The people ushering the drive-up suggested I go inside to Urgent Care, which was closed at 1:20 on a Monday. They had a printed paper that just said Sorry were closed and nothing else about what to do or where else to go. How did the people outside not know this? Why does everything online say you dont need an appointment to use the drive-up testing? Incredibly inefficient and no one I spoke to was helpful in the slightest.

2021-11-30Very unhappy with this place related to COVID testing. Changes in policy are not updated on websites. Time frames and costs for services are unclear and not verbally presented. Sign is unclear and requires technology to view. Call to make an appointment which is another option is not clear on sign. Appointments required and fees required for non rapid testing. There is no rapid testing and$100 fee. Employees are Professional but Business end is hidden or presented vaguely. It took two years for a doctor to describe and separate Visit from Test in Urgent Care because their intent was to take money for basic testing when they first closed their drive through testing due to lack of interest. Just go to CVS when possible for testing this business doesnt want the government $ for free testing.
