Food was great and service was prompt. All was well until I received the bill that stated there was a 3.5% check out fee for using a credit card as payment! Since merchants are charged approximately 0.13-0.14% per transaction, theyre making out like bandits! Unless you pay cash...which most people dont. Big turn off, will NOT be going back!
Amazing breakfast here at the Mediterranean Diner. Its a small diner right up the block from the Bellmore train station. The food is really good and fresh. The burgers are a nice size and they have a great variety. Great place to stop in and have a good meal. Place is clean and they take necessary precautions recommended by Dept of Health. They even have hand sanitizer on the tables..

One of my favorite local diners, friendly service and great menu selection. Stopped in recently and had a mixed experience with a waiter who seemed a bit overwhelmed and got my order wrong, and when pointed out to waiter he said they could fix it but kitchen was backed up so would take a while. Not great experience, but food was good.Also, I found it odd that they don’t allow you to tip on a credit card, so bring some cash.
Calling this a diner is really an understatement. They have a great selection and very competitive offerings and prices with many standard restaurants in the area. Pleasant staff and some really good meals. Had a grilled salmon filet two weeks ago that was huge. It was perfectly done and priced similarly to others but was about twice the size of what others provide. It was so impressive that I ordered it again last week and I was not disappointed.
If you are in the Bellmore-Merrick area I highly recommend this diner . The owners are fantastic people , always ask to see how your meal was and if you ever need anything . I have been coming to this diner for years and never have I been disappointed with a meal I have received . Great diner highly recommend !!
I enjoyed eating here. I had chicken souvlaki. It came with a Greek salad and instead of rice I had mix vegetables. The service is great. They kept my soda full. I was bum no lemon potatoes offered.
We were a party of 6 and a round table was very accommodating. The typical diner food is always good here. We were pleasantly surprised when a picky friend ordered the salmon and it came out perfectly. The service is excellent and we will definitely be back.
Ive been eating here since it opened. The burgers are the best around. I know they use Janowskis as I can tell by the taste let alone Ive seen the delivery truck. The reason I give it four stars instead of five is that you must order the burger deluxe. I cannot eat that nor do I want all the fries. My husband and I would like to order one deluxe and one just a burger and we cant. Were informed it only comes one way, deluxe. I dont like not having that option.
My bf and I stopped in on a whim late last night. This place is a celiacs dream come true. Offering gluten free bread, rolls and fries you can get pretty much anything your heart desires. Food was delicious, place was clean, staff was attentive. Will definitely be back.
Have only been here for breakfast (with my mom, wife and sisters) and everything has always been perfect. Reasonable diner prices, but the food is always of the highest quality. I usually get eggs, omelets and have ventured out and tried the breakfast burrito. All good and a very good never ending cup of coffee. Staff is friendly and I have been voting daily for them to win the Best on Long Island (2019) Contest! Good Luck!
In spite of a rocky start with no server coming to the table for about 7 minutes, this diner turned out to have very good food. We had breakfast here, an Eggs Benedict Royal (with smoked salmon) and home fries. The Benedict was very good, with the smoked salmon being not too sharp or fishy but appropriately salty. The eggs were perfectly rendered. The Hollandaise was a bit cooler in temperature than I would have liked, but the flavor was good. The home fries were excellent, with a crunchy, crispy browned crust that was exactly as I like them. Service was good once we were addressed, and attentive.While waiting for our orders to arrive, I noted someone beginning to clean the coffee machine. One of the two lids was taken off the top, and the person cleaning the machine grabbed a mop-like device off the back of the counter, sitting behind the machine, directly on the bare countertop. The mop was used to clean out the top of the machine, and when finished, was thrown back on the counter behind the coffee machine without rinsing and without being contained, just onto the bare counter. We had planned to order coffee, but wouldnt do so after seeing that.Overall, the food and service were good. We just werent that happy that we didnt get to have coffee with our breakfast.

The food I received was good, the food I didn’t receive, well that’s another story. Thank you for sending out my delivery order without the mozzarella sticks I ordered. Thank you for not calling me to tell me you ran out of mozzarella sticks. Thank you for not calling me to see if maybe, just maybe I would have liked something to replace that item, since the whole point of me ordering takeout was so I didn’t have to cook something for my son after working 22 hours. A+ for your customer service!
I havent been out to eat breakfast in my hometown in years and we decided to give our old stomping ground a shot. Everything in respects to ownership is the same. They havent aged a day and they still are as enthusiastic about serving Bellmore as theyve always been. The food is better than i remember and their renovation/expansion is beautiful. So glad we stopped by.
Nice place with a pleasant atmosphere. Food and service are good. I went here with a friend who had food allergies and they were very accommodating as well, which can be hard to find sometimes!
Nice little dinner on the corner of Bedford Ave. Very clean. I havent even left yet and Im writing this review. I came here for a quick lunch. Service is quick and great. Food is delicious! I ordered salmon with rice and mixed veggies and it was so flavorful and yummy! They accept Android pay and it was quick and simple and wsksjsn I asked about it the guy was quick to check and see for me without any hesitation. I definitely recommend stopping in for a bite.
Nice place, I ate here several times and it didnt matter what I chose from the menu, the food was always that good to keep me going back. Staff, service, and atmosphere are A1. I recommend this diner to everyone. A hidden diamond in the rough. 👍👍👍
Had a delicious grilled chicken, hummus, cucumber and pepper wrap. Fries are nice and fresh and a cup of coffee freshly brewed. The wait staff is always pleasant. Highly recommend it.
Very nice diner. The service was excellent and their matzo ball soup was so delicious. Not to mention they make a super chocolate egg cream, if you come from my generation, and would drink this every day. Will definitely go back again.

The portions are huge and the food is soo good! I got the prime rib and ended up taking half of it home. Our waiter was so friendly too. Definitely recommend.

This was very literally the best breakfast ive ever had in my life. Had the grand slam and every single item was the freshest and tastiest food ive eaten. Other diners dont take the kind of care that this diner does. To be a fair review... the bacon was a little overcooked but still enjoyable and tasty. Ive also never seen apples foster offered on a menu and the apples were also so fresh to order. Clean. Fresh. Tasty. Excellent and prompt service. I dont like anything at all ever... and i cant stop saying great things about this. Best meal and most complete meal ive ever had.
We have eaten here multiple times. Food is always very good. This is a top notch diner. The prices are slightly higher then other diners, but you wont mind when you taste the food. 3 and 1/2 starts.
Today, it took 10 minutes to bring water to our party, and over 20 to take our order. The food is OK for its price but the horrible service renders every visit unpleasant. I have given this location the benefit of the doubt by visiting it at different times at different days of the week, but it has been consistently disappointing each and every time. There are plenty of better selections in the immediate area where youre better off spending your money.

For a restaurant in the heart of Bellmore, this Diner should have been able to produce better food. My hamburger was not very good, the chicken giro the kids had was tough and ice cream that was served to the kids was freezer burned.

You cant miss the diner here. Ive passed it so many times and this was the first time I stopped in. Very tasty Greek salad topped with gyro meat. The service was good and the diner was neat and clean. Ill be back
Ordered takeout. the hostess about 15 minutes to put the order in the computer.(2 BLT on white one with cheese fries)After paying $32.50 we realize these are some VERY expensive BLTS.Somehow screwed up the very difficult order.Manager comes to refund the over payment.We get home with it food. Open the bag to find a VERY dry sandwich on RYE... BURNT bacon and no freaking mayo. Not even in the bag.NEVER AGAIN....................

Food was delicious. Arrived speedily and was properly cooked. Mid-range cost, and left me feeling satisfied with enough leftover to take home.
They suck. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu..... a toasted bagle with cream cheese......not only was it 4 dollars but it wasnt toasted and the half of the bagle that had cream cheese was sour. I do not reccomend this place.

Ordered a reuben, corned beef was rubbery, straight from the can and packed with vinegar. Youll need to follow up with the staff if you actually want the included pickle and slaw.Maybe just stick to the breakfast food if youre going.

Paninnis are really good here motzo ball soup is great and I also had the turkey avocado chipotle salad which was very good. I never really had anything I didnt like at this diner.

2021-07-02Not a great experience there today which it usually is, meaning the food. The waiter was nasty, the food that came out wasnt prepared like it usually is... Im posting a picture of the Chicken Milano that always has the juice they describe on the menu, not dry like this. When I said its different to the waiter he argued that it always is like this! And as usual, the owner will never say hello even though we go there all of the time 🤷♀️

2022-05-15Stopped by here for a team lunch after a recommendation from a friend. Everyone absolutely loved it. Staff was very accommodating when we asked if we could move tables together to get the team around one table.

2022-07-30Waitstaff is always friendly and food is decent. Menu shrunk after covid but understandable. Hope they bring the bigger menu back in time. There is a cash discount if you go with cash.

When you have to repeat yourself 3times to the waitress about how you would like your food prepared, and you still get the wrong order,? & the owner sides with the waitress because your not excepting something you didnt order,..Well then,its time to just find another place to eat!! Why get aggravated over incompetence??And to watch the owner picking his nose as your trying to eat your food? Thats disgusting!! He didnt even wash his hands afterwards, he proceeded to the register and punched keys!..Wow!! A descent owner or waitress would approach you in an apologetic way about the food, but neither one did that with me. Instead they actually complained out loud like little children about how I was dissatisfied with the food. Anyone would have been! Talk about disgusting, nasty,looking food? Im so appalled! Needless to say,I definitely wont be returning to this place! Should of took pictures of food like one other person who reviewed them did. That waitress Laurie,is horrible!! Eat at your own risk! Im petrified of the thought of eating there again! Never again!!

2022-01-18The Beef barley soup is incredible! Very ,very delicious! Everything else is just as good. The service and management are fantastic! Great place to dine with family,friends etc. The music is also great!

2022-02-08Food and service were very good but the absence of masks on the employees was very unsettling. One might not believe in wearing a mask but as a sign of respect to those customers who do believe in wearing a mask the owner/manager and wait staff should be masked

2021-07-11Great staff, great food. The homemade corned beef hash was a pleasant surprise. Very tasty, and a definite upgrade from the canned stuff that most places serve. Only disappointment was a very limited breakfast menu. (Breakfast all day menu)
