Mediterranean Kebab House in other cities:
This restaurant was both good and bad but I think the cons outweighed the prosTo start off with the good part:The burgers were really good. It was freshly made and tasted amazingThe badMe and a party of 11 went here after hiking in Watkin Glenn,on our way there we preordered 30 minutes early while driving there at around 8:15. We got at the reasturanr at around 8:40ish. When we got there, they completely forgot about our order. Uh okay not a huge deal, we would just have to wait 30 minutes for food. Me and 2 others explored the plaza which had an awesome board game store (if your into it). We spent about 35 minutes and when we came back our order was still not done. We then proceed to wait even longer, when asked about our order we were met with it’ll be done soon. When asked for a specific time it was always 10 minutes. It wasn’t. We asked multiple times too. In total we waited until it was around 10 o’clock. At this point people were getting really hangry and we didn’t know when it was coming so we were about to leave until four burgers came out. One person in the party then asked why’d it take so long. The waiter responded with they are very understaffed right now and only have one cook, she explained we aren’t fast food so it’s hard. Okay understandable, another person says we’ll if that was the case why didn’t you not except our order when we called. She responded by saying that was a different girl on the phone and she told her not to except. Uhhh what? I don’t know but I’m not sure you should do that. On top of all this there was no compensation for this at all. As mentioned the burgers were good, but not worth the wait. Also the ghost pepper burger had next to no spice in it. There are other places I would rather go from now on.
I ordered the falafel platter. The falafel had great flavor but was a bit dry. The sides- rice, salad and hummus were tasty. The service was pretty good, aside from the hosts hitting on the person I was with and the hosts very odd comments about their beliefs about women. Not cool.
Im going to start this review by urging you not to spend your hard-earned money or time at this establishment. There are so many places nearby to get superior Mediterranean food at a better price. From the lazy counter person who was too absorbed in watching Instagram reels to realize our order was up to the mediocre food that you could get at any diner along West Henrietta Rd.I ordered the lamb shish kebab dinner for 16.99. The counter person would not allow substituting tabuleh for the 2 tablespoons of Greek salad that came with the meal. Why not? The hummus had a layer of vegetable oil on top and was served in a small plastic to-go cup. The copius amount of rice tasted fine. When we finished, the lazy phone watcher told us to throw our own garbage away. My partner was using a walker and he would not let us exit from the door that was cleared of snow , instead directed us to the entrance which had not been cleared.Needless to say, we will never go there again, there are much better places.
This is our go-to place. Their food is really really good, but lately their service has been pretty bad. The last 4 or 5 times weve ordered from there, they have ALWAYS gotten our order wrong. Its to the point where if you dont check your food when you pick it up, youre going to have to come back to get what they forgot. Also, recently they have not been cooking their fries or falafel long enough. Its like theyre trying to save time but are sacrificing the quality of their food. Id rather wait a little longer for food thats better than get my order quick and have soggy cold fries.
5 stars for the food, 1 for the service. This is the 3rd time our take out order has been screwed up. Its getting to be like the Irondequoit taco bell up in here. Weve been coming here for years, but its getting harder and harder to keep coming back when the order continually gets screwed up. I pick this up on my way home from work. We dont live close. Very inconvenient to come back for missing items
Consistently absolutely delicious. The falafel plate is my favorite food on earth.. the salad, the dressing the hummus and falafel and rice are all spectacular! Not disgusting frozen junk falafel like seemingly all other Mediterranean restaurants in Rochester. Everything is perfectly fresh and well seasoned and at a great price. My favorite..the only take out in the area that is consistent quality and I get excited about!
Ordered the lambchops and the lamb shish kabob. Absolutely phenomenal. Really wanted some kabuli pulao, but thats a special item, only available on special days. The man at the counter was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Everything tasted great. Got some stuff packed for home, still tasted great the next day.
Amazing place! I wasnt expecting the Burger menue to be my most favorite in a Kebab place. I tried the Curry burger with American cheese instead of mild feta and chicken gyro platter and got a sweet tea from the fridge. The burger was delicious. The bun is soft and it has a unique kebaby flavor. The platter was great, too. It came with rice and hummus with adequate ratio between the.chicken and the rice (the chicken covered all the rice). Definitely a place I would recommend. My only complaint was the tea I tried from the fridge. It was a new brand I didnt recognize but I thought I would like to try. It tasted like honey which is not good for an iced tea (at least for me). However, in all fairness, they have other juice options from the fridge or prepared by the store but I havent try them.Quick notes:*Maybe I will try their drinks options when I order from them (they provide store delivery as well as Uber Eats and GH, too.)*My order was for take out, but I noticed that they have good space for dine in.*the burger took longer than the platter to prepare. But all in all it didnt take that much time about 10 minutes or less (the store wasnt busy, but they could be preparing for deliveries).*like other reviewers may have pointed out, the staff argue between each other quite a bit which could be annoying or unsettling for some especially if dining in. It looks unprofessional and could be because of inexperience. It happens in all restaurants but they dont show it. I believe it is something that could change over time and the staff just doesnt realize that they are heard. (I didnt talk to them about it because I wasnt aware that it might be an actual problem).
Im a fan of Greek food so I may be a bit biased, however this was hands down the best lamb/beef gyro I had. The tzatziki sauce was amazing and really tied the whole dish together, the people there were very friendly and everything is made from scratch, except the fries. I loved it, and anyone else whos a fan of good food and Mediterranean food, youll love it here.
I will definitely be back . . . Superior food, absolutely delicious. I had the samosas, falafel, chicken gyro, and beef/lamb gyro. Some minor glitches with the service that were quickly rectified but I think it’s because of what all restaurants are experiencing now . . . trouble getting workers. They open at 11 AM but their media, and on their door, seems to say 10 AM; they need to update this. I will definitely be back to try different things and can’t wait to try the Curry Burger and a pizza.
Took my mom here Friday evening. We had the most amazing experience. The food was wonderful and the owners are front and center. They made us feel like we were part of the family. They kept apologizing that it was taking so long (it really wasnt that long) and the food was so worth it. I had steak kabobs and mom had the lamb chops. We will be back for sure.
I love this place. The food is very high quality for the price and very flavorful. Also the service is excellent and the staff is very friendly and actually care about the customers. They gave us extra baklava and hummus for free. The interior and exterior is a little unassuming, but trust me, the food and service is surprisingly good for the price.
First I must say that I love the food. It is simply delicious. However, twice now, I ordered online, no less than 2 hours earlier than my desired pick up time and both times my order was not started. I am not sure why I had to experience the same problem twice but it was very discouraging. This time I couldnt wait for the food to be prepared so I requested a refund. But again the food is good, when you can get it
This place is gold. Solid gold. Amazing shish kebabs, kofta kebabs -- great, juicy, flavorful meat all around. The baba ganouj is superb, the hummus and tzatziki are splendid, the pulao rice is delish... You cannot go wrong here with any of the traditional kebab dishes.
Absolutely love this food. So well seasoned and so delicious. I had out of towners in for a holiday and needed some food to please everyone. We ate it up. The medical providers were happy. The anthropologist professor was amazed on how good it was. Our kids loved it.And the staff is so so kind. We’d met the owner in the past and he has always gone very literally out of his way to help us.I will get this food again and again.
Absolutely phenomenal! First time visit and I am sitting in the parking lot right now posting my review while scarfing down this absolutely fresh and delicious burger and fries! Order two other menu items Im taking home. I tried all three and I will definitely be returning. No long wait and friendly prompt service along with excellent food.
Amazing service!! The counter and owner take personal care of every customer! They check on you and they are very personable but they also give you time to eat. They dont hover. Its very relaxing and enjoyable. The food is great to! The humus is delicious! I stole some of husbands gyro because the beef was juicy and perfect! The chicken I got is also juicy and perfectly seasoned! I am not big on leaving reviews, but this place is awesome! Check it out for yourself!
One of the best places to eat in Rochester. The staff is so kind. Theyre prices are fair. They messed up my order and to fix it they remade it and gave me a free drink & side of fries. I went another time with my family. My daughter is two they gave her a juice & some fries. These people make great food at a fair price and are so nice.Everytime Ive eaten here I leave full happy and feeling good! I would reccomend this place to ANYONE!! ITS AWESOME!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good their burgers are! Normally a burger wouldnt be the first thing that comes to mind when talking about a Mediterranean restaurant, but they might just be some of the best burgers in the area in comparison to all the burger joints around. In addition the falafel was very fulfilling!
Ive been coming here almost two years for lunch and dinner. Never a bad meal or experience. I really dont care for rice, but I could eat the rice they serve every day. My favorite is the lamb kofta kabob. When I bring my takeout lunch order to work, without fail everyone asks what smells so good. Now many of my coworkers dine there as well. The owner and employees are all very friendly.
Let me start by saying that the food here absolutely deserves a full 5 star rating as it is absolutely fantastic. However the wait time to receive your food is horrendous and the staff seems to be at each others throats all of the time. My college and I have come here to eat on four (4) different occasions and have had a minimum wait time between 30 & 40 minutes each time (our arrival times varied from 11 AM to 2:00 PM). Also, as referenced above, the staff members seem to argue with each other quite often which you can hear in the dining room. Now, I realize that each menu item may be being made to order but a 40 minute wait for lunch is not acceptable. I have personally witnessed two (2) occasions where people have requested refunds and left due to the wait time. I am writing this review in hopes that management will see it and do something about it because the food really is that good. But not a 40 minute wait good
Great food and the staff treat you like family. I have been several times and the beef gyro is my favorite. Everything tastes homemade and this hands down the best place to eat in Rochester that I have encountered. Thank you for great service and amazingly tasty food.
Update 2/18/20:Ordered the Mediterranean burger and it was made completely incorrectly, missing ingredients (olives, spinach), had random added ingredient (american cheese) that I didnt ask for. I waited a long time to receive the food and didnt realize the mistakes until I got home. Called their listed phone number and got no response and was unable to leave a message because the voicemail was not set up. Messaged them on Facebook to no response. Very disappointing experience. Maybe it was an off-day, but its too bad that things seem to have gone downhill.-----Cute family owned restaurant with large portions and tons of flavor. The Mediterranean burger was the best burger Ive ever had. My girlfriend had the chicken gyro platter and the chicken was super flavorful. The prices were incredibly reasonable. Definitely going back soon!
Placed my first order with this place today. I work 5 minutes away but had back-to-back meetings and ordered delivery. It took 2.5 hours. I called a few times in between and no one picked up. When someone did pick up they didnt know how much longer it was going to take. I cancelled my order and the delivery driver finally showed up 30 seconds later. He was so obnoxious and didnt understand why I didnt want the food anymore. I didnt take the food because I didnt trust that the food was still good/warm. Driver wouldnt listen.
Great burgers great gyros great everything! Having the ability to eat some quality fast food always puts a smile on my face. Dont get me wrong when i say fast food since where i am from in Istanbul, fast food is a way of life so its very important for there to be detail in this kind of food. Its delicious and the service is fast too. Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere in the spot as well. Always recommend!
My dad is Iranian and introduced me to this restaurant. Im so glad he turned me on to it. The food is absolutely fantastic and the family that owns and operates the restaurant is extremely friendly and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. All of the food Ive had there is extremely tasty, but the chapli kebab is one of the best Ive ever had; so flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Rochester.
My husband and I were VERY impressed, we normally go to the same restaurant but today we wanted to try something different. Ive never had Mediterranean food.. ( I am soooo picky)But it was a hit!! We will definitely be making this our go to place when we are in Henrietta! The gyros we had were so good, and the hummus! Fresh food, and Fresh smoothies! Very clean and Friendly place! Try it out! You wont be disappointed
Good, fresh food. Their online menu doesnt match their printed menu and doesnt match the in-store menu which is a little confusing. In-store they seem to have everything with the same prices but more options, although it is on a changing screen so kinda hard to tell. It is self-serve, clean and tasty. I got their chicken plate and would definitely go back.
I am a very picky eater never tried a Gyro not even from my work place, but this Hands down is by far the best food ever. Their smoothies are delicious and are made with real fruit sliced in front of you. The owners are so sweet and very nice the waitress is a sweetheart as well. Just bright Gyros home for my kids and they fell in love with the food. You have to try it once and you will be hooked ;) 100% Im my book
Just stopped there for lunch after applebees called to tell me my order that was placed 4 hours in advance wasnt available. Im glad that they did. I got the beef kebab and fries, and the kebab is wonderful. Juicy and well seasoned meat go perfectly with the pita, and the fries were lightly seasoned. As I was leaving, the man I believe was the owner asked if I wanted ketchup, and I said no. Turns out that I was right, I didnt need it. Will definitely go back.
Brooke and I both ordered the chicken gyro plate for lunch today. We both left with leftovers! The portion sizes are huge & prices are fair. The food was delicious--their tzatziki sauce & hummus are awesome! The restaurant is very clean and the owner Furkhan is very friendly. Service was great!
This has become my weekly go to place for a meal sometimes more. In my opinion this is some of the best Mediterranean food in the Rochester region. The lamb chops are delicious (eating one right now) and the humus it superb. I highly highly recommend this, and already have to many friends.
Never here before tonite BUT we will DEFINITELY be back! Chicken kabobs with great tasting rice, salad, hummus, pita bread and my friend had really tender lamb chops with the same sides. In addition, dessert was 3 different kinds of baklava and your choice of tea flavors. Family run business that checked on us to be sure everything was good. We didnt need a doggy bag because we finished EVERYTHING! Prices are reasonable, portions are good, service seems slow but everything is cooked to order and when brought out to you...its nirvana! Will be making this a regular stop! Keep up the good work!👍
Typically very good, portion sizes are decent, though a bit pricey, its worth it.. I would have given 5 stars, however, tonight the beef and lamb on my gyro were dry and slightly burned on the edges.. This is the first time I have experienced this, but it wont stop me from coming back!
A month has passed since our first time going here and we have been back numerous times and it is a great learning experience! Last nite we learned about ghost peppers and tried the hot sauce that is homemade...it really can open your eyes!👍Everything is great and not your same old/same old food. Staff is great and makes us feel like they are cooking just for us! Keep up the great job and good luck on your new adventure!
I didnt realize this little gem was even in the plaza! I walked in and was greeted at the counter immediately with a friendly smiling face :) The woman was extremely polite and so kind to explain the menu to me! She was very knowledgable about each dish and the ingredients, which was super helpful as a person with allergies!! Their food was VERY authentic, the homemade hummus and gyro lamb/beef meat was AMAZING with the tzatziki sauce :):):) They even have authentic soda/sparkling drinks and they were very knowledgable when I asked about them too! The restaurant itself is VERY CLEAN and very well put together decor! The staff was just wonderful for a first time visit! I will definitely be coming back the next time Im in Henrietta! Thank You for an AWESOME experience!
3 of us went to the Mediterranean Kebab House and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the plate of the falafal and the kofte. Service was great and the plate came with a side of rice pilaf and humus and salad and just a lot of food. Definitely will visit again and highly recommend!
Cant say enough about this place! We went in by accident two days before they opened and the owner made my girlfriend and I a smoothie (Which was the best one Ive ever had!) weve been back four times since and he was kind enough to remember our names. You cant get better customer service anywhere in Rochester. Great people even better food
If this rating was just based on the food it would be 5/5 stars but sadly the staff is always terrible. Everytime Ive been Ive had something wrong with my order. The people that take your order can sometimes be rude and not listen. Honestly will go back again because the food is amazing!
Are the people crazy? How can anyone rate so high this restaurant? 4.6 Come on! I have to say that the place is nice and the people who works there are nice too. But the food is horrible! Of course, if you dont know how taste a real Kebab, Pyta, Falafel, etc., then maybe is amazing for you. I was expecting something better but I supposed is the same junk food as in others franchises. Disappointed!
The lamb/beef gyro was delicious, and the hummus is great! People were friendly, however, I used the bathroom and there was urine all over the floor and it just seemed really dirty. The handle on the bathroom going out was all black and dirty. Makes me wonder how clean everyone’s hands are:/
Placed an online order for pickup. Website says its open until 10pm. Got here at 8:20pm for my pickup and they were closed. Lights off, doors locked closed. Very disgruntled and not sure if I want to give them another chance to disappoint me. This rating is obviously NOT about the food since I couldnt get my food due to the false advertising. Im always looking for new/different places to suggest to the guests at the hotel I work at. This place will not be on my list. Completely let me down. Allowed my order to go through with no issues, but wont let me get it.
Food is terrific. Great falafel, very moist. Not the green style, my fave, but really quite good. Half fava/half chickpea. Chicken gyro was really more like schwarma but good and the rice was a pleasant surprise. We had service issues: tremendous time to prepare food, longer than anybody else there, and they misheard order and gave me a Mediterranean burger (meat) instead of a Mediterranean platter (non meat). They werent interested in remedying the problem when I called and I was tired and we had also ordered the falafel to split.Order ahead or be patient. The food is worth it.
They screw up your order EVERYTIME! Ive ordered online 4 times and every time they screw it up or forget something. Foods great but man they suck. Tonight I ordered @ 6pm. 1 hour later I called for an update and they said their delivery guy got into an accident. I got my food 2 hours later and they forgot part of it. When I asked is the delivery guy ok? the man was clueless on what I was talking about.
This my second time to visit this place. I’ve tried 2 meals Chicken shish Kabab and Lamb shish Kabab. Honestly, all of them were amazing and delicious. I recommend you guys to give it a try you won’t regret inshallah “Allah willing”. And yes the stuff is also friendly and kind.
Located in a plaza. Everything was nice and clean inside. My husband and I had our food to go but while we were there we had great customer service. The food was great - we ordered chicken gyro platter (with Greek salad & tzatziki sauce), kofta kebab wrap, pina colada smoothies, pastries, & mango nectar. Would definitely return and recommend to others
Having been to kebab houses all-over London, I didnt think I could find any here comparable. I was wrong! Mediterranean kebab house in Henrietta far surpasses any of the ones I went to in London. The atmosphere was clean bright and inviting. And the chicken kebab platter that I had was perfectly seasoned, the best Ive had in Rochester!
The food was great! However I will not return. We ordered through the yelp app and picked it up. The order was not complete and the restaurant was definitely not busy. We called and told them they had forgotten the falafel and they said no problem well refund the amount for the falafel. They did not refund the money. Learn from my mistake, always, ALWAYS double check your order!
Being a regular customer of Amiels next door, I have been seeing the signs and anxiously awaiting Mediterranean Kebab Houses opening. Well let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Checked it out for the first time tonight and was nothing but impressed with the service and food. The owner, Furkahn, & the girl at the counter, Tina, were exceptionally nice, friendly, informative, and accommodating. The food was prepared quick & fresh and was absolutely delicious! I got the turkish sausage pizza, which with the combo came with a large greek salad AND a drink, which at $11 was very reasonable. My wife got the chicken gyro platter which comes with salad, hummus, pita, rice & chicken. Rice & chicken were both well cooked and flavorful. All the dressings/spreads are homemade-greek salad dressing, tzatziki, and hummus-and absolutely fantastic! Also a ton of food for a reasonable $11. In addition to the food, they offer fresh made smoothies, which while I would have preferred fresh pineapple over canned, was still yummy & dairy free (a big plus for my wifes lactose intolerance). They also have a cooler filled with juices and drinks imported directly from Turkey, which happily brought us back to days on our Mediterranean Honeymoon Cruise. I really hope they are able to keep up with this level of excellence as they become more popular, and are able to stick around for a long time. This place is legit, and you should definitely check it out! We will absolutely be back, frequently!
First time visit to this beautiful place. What a wonderful friendly place & nice & wonderful menu. Reminded me of Afghanistan in the good times!!!! My best wishes & congratulations to you for bringing the best choices from that part of the world as well as from Syria,Turkey & Iraq area
Is it because I am female? Everytime I come into this store to the prepared food area, I am ignored but the male staff.. Two different occasions now! They see me there but do not offer to help. They carry on chatting with each other while preparing more food...As a result I leave without purchasing anything. Is this a cultural thing?? Had the same experience at a different kabob restaurant in Rochester where the male cashier would not even make eye contact with me. Rude!
Staff is very slow with orders even when there isnt anyone in the restaurant,I work for grubhub and they never have order for delivery on time. In other words if it says pick by 6:30pm it wont be ready till almost 6:45pm. They simply waste time chatting with one another!
Im from the middle east and I couldnt find that fantastic amazing food and service there.Just try once you wont go to anywhere else.....This place is different from the othersGo there and try it and if you dont like it Ill pay back your money ;)BIG THANK YOU!!!! for the service for the food and you really made my day
We went for the gyro plate and for $11.99 we got a paper plate with three compartments. About 1/4 cup of salad, 1/4 cup of tzatziki, about 2/3 cup of rice and 1/4 cup of thin sliced gyro. On the side - one pita. Presentation was meh at best and portion size made this a poor value. At this price, something beyond a paper plate would be nice. Nothing special, but could be okay for takeout. Ambience was non existent thanks to blasting TVs showing Spectrum News. Cedar on Monroe is much nicer and a better value. Faster too.
The chicken or beef/lamb gyro pita sandwiches are better than fast food, but still quick enough for a lunch break. If youre hungry for something more substantial, the chicken shish or lamb kofta kebab plates (with rice and two sides) are worth the wait. I like the hummus and some pita for a savory side dish, or some tzatziki sauce for a cool, slightly sour note on the meats.
I have been eating Mediterranean food for almost 9 years.... and loved it.... but this place just nailed it... outstanding the kebabs, lamb chops, falafels, and the fresh salad...phenomenal....I love This place ....I will keep coming here again and again...God bless everyone who works here ...
Last time I order chicken curry was terrible less then barely any chicken 4 bread cost me 28 dollar if u paki stay way from this place this guy is absolutely very expansive for so called paki style ckn or lamb I cook much better then that my self burgers are k to buy go to Indian buffet is 12 dollar and much better and all u can eat sorry but this place got me mad I dont worry bout money but dont make people fool with 4oz ckn bell pepper onion for 28 dollar . dam Im so furious terrible garbage food as a paki style
A solid pick in the awful desert of no decent places for lunch that is Rochester. If youre tired of going to Amils or Chipotle for the umpteenth time come here and get the chicken gyro.EDIT: been coming here for a month now and the portion sizes seem to be getting a lot smaller. Last one didnt even seem like a full lunch, had to get a snack right afterwards. Costs unchanged. Not cool, man.
Very bad service. I ordered food and only got half of my order, and when I called to address the issue, they spoke condescendingly, called me honey, and refused to give me the rest of the order! Then, when I asked to have my money back if they werent going to deliver my food, they hung up on me!!!! Never ordering here again!

2022-07-01I ordered the beef and lamb platter, order this you will be very happy. The beef and lamb was tender, moist and the perfect taste. The rice was fresh, seasoned and perfect texture. The pita was soft and crispy the perfect toast and my gosh the homemade hummus was the best. These guys know how to cook! We topped it off with the baklava and omg you must order it after the traditional was so good! The staff was very friendly, family operated. It’s a spacious restaurant, you order at the front get a number and sit until they call you. I’m coming here again next time I’m in town!

2022-01-18Food was very flavorful. Ordered from Uber Eats. That was our first time trying this place and got chicken shish kebab and chicken gyro pita. Both were really good. Good size portions, reasonably priced. Definitely visiting again.

I am using oicture as evidence I am there regular customers I have ordered probabky 15-17 time with them in past month isually there portion is one full plate in one box and today I ordered 2 Chicken Gyroplate and I am using picture as evidence its not even 2 full plates out of 2 boxes I orderd and when I called the guy answer I have ni idea what happened. It is his responisbilty to make sure on what happened but he was extremely rude and did not want to answer the question. My recommendation do not order ever from them you will be ripping off your self!

2022-06-26This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. But not any more!! I came by on a Sunday. I did not look at their site before hand. I was just in town and thought if they were closed the doors would be locked. They werent so I walked in. The place was a little dark but it was very hot outside. One of the owners (I think) told me they were in fact closed. Dont know why they had the door unlocked. Anyways I apologized and started walking out. Thats when I I kept feeling something pushing at my backside. It was their kid! He was trying to push me out of the door while shouting get out! It took all of my well-being not to push this toddler off of me. He kept it up until I reached the door thats when his older brother grabbed him. There were two adults in the establishment and neither of them got this kid. Well, I knew I shouldnt have came back to this place, since the last time I did I was lectured on how great the restaurant is by one of the owners. Nope, Ill find another Mediterranean restaurant elsewhere!

2022-03-28This place is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding for the price point. There is NO dry, bland food to be found here everything is flavorful and on point cooked fresh and delicious. The chocolate pie is definitely worth a try too!

2022-06-18This was my first adventure into this restaurant. I am really struggling at saying there was anything positive about this event, beyond the smell of other peoples food. Looking at and smelling other food that people were enjoying, I can attest that we ordered the wrong thing. The falafel looked on point--but greasy. The fresh flat bread looked and smelled great. All the smells were so good.Accessibility-mixed to poor. This restaurant is on the first floor. It is in an old style plaza where you can park pretty close without handicap plackard. there are no dedicated spots close to the restaurant, but all of the spots are closer than your average new plaza with copious quantities of curb. I did not notice where the roll up curb portion was in relation to the door. The gradient for entrance is completely flat, but there are two sets of doors that may require assistance. Where the accessibility problems begin. This restaurant has a standing cue with no paper menus available and two giant TV screens with the menu. The menu type was a little small but more so problematic one screen flickered and went dark every 20 seconds? meaning if you have visual impairment, trouble with visual continuity, or migraines you may face unnecessary hurdles. It would have been nice to have a paper menu to look at seated to make a dining decision. I am bipedal but disabled and have trouble standing and even more trouble making decisions while standing. I also have trouble looking at TV screens for reading. Put both things together and ordering was a nightmare. If practicing a limited diet due to allergies or other dietary issues, none of the dishes had descriptions of ingredients included or if the dish baked or fried or otherwise. The counter girl was texting and seemed frustrated by my menu confusion. I also have a slight problem when the menu quotes me $9.99 and the cost ends up being $14.99--enter more confusion. I can understand if they are on the cusp of changing prices and getting new menus but there was no note of warning ANYWHERE and I feel a little baited and switched. Then, for the food to be terrible.Due to all this ordering confusion, In a sea of options with no description of ingredients, spanakopita seemed safe. I ordered the wrong thing. It was the same triangles I could buy from Trader Joes but I would NEVER deep fry them. They were oily, heavy, singed, and disgusting. not to mention the evening of agony to follow. I dont eat fried foods. Spanakopita is supposed to be a light crisp pastry. The taziki had no cucumber and was just dill yogurt, not bad but not good and nothing to recommend it. The hummus was freaking divine.I dont know that they will fix their menu display. I dont know that they will update their pricing on their menu display. I dont know if they plan on having paper menus around in the future. I dont know if they will include descriptions of their meals including ingredients on future menus be they screen or paper. But these things are what I would need to be able to pick out a suitable meal and dine here successfully. The accessibility issues for this restaurant mean I will not be returning. Its just not worth putting good energy after bad.
