I visited the Medrite location on Myrtle Ave in Clinton Hill several times for Covid testing and urgent care issues for me and my family and I have always been pleased with service and care. I am grateful that they exist to close to my home.Yesterday I visited with my 85 year old mom who took a fall over the past weekend and I was overwhelmingly grateful for the time and attention to detail that they provided to my mom and to me. Dr Arina, the Medical assistant Samson and the X-ray tech were all superb!! Dr Arina even called me this morning to check on me as well. To say that I was emotional and stressed because my mother was in pain is an understatement - they took care of both of us. I will forever be grateful for the service and care they provided. Sometimes it’s not only about doing your job but about making sure people are seen, heard and validated! Especially when it comes to our elders! I can’t think straight when I know that something is wrong with my mom. Thank you Dr Arina for leading a team of professionals who care. You are an excellent example!
I went to med rite urgent care in the Clinton Hill .I wasn’t feeling well and I needed to see a doctor and get also a Covid test. The doctor I spoke with was excellent I came in because my pressure was high and I was advised. I followed instructions.Medrite staff from front administration to technical medical , dr, pa , nurse practitioners are all maxing caring and we are very fortunate to have them in our Clinton Hill Community.
I had some trouble with my PCR test. It seems the lab had lost my sample. I spoke with many nice people on the phone but no one actually fixed the problem. Until I spoke with someone named Ashley (sp?) who fixed everything. Thank you ! Besides that , I’ve always had good experiences here.
This review is about their billing department- I called them to see if I can get pre employment screening out of pocket. The guy answered me was incredible. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He solved my problem plus gave me additional help to navigate my issues. Thank you so much for your help! Bet you are helping a lot of people. Bless your heart.
Most of the individuals at the urgent care facility are lovely. My only complaint is that they dont call ppl in the order that they ome in. They certainly collect the names and information in the order in which ppl come in. Yet ppl are always called ahead of you. Today I was the first one. I was in line since 7:27am. No one else came until 7:49am. Yet they called the the 5th person. Who had signed in. Not fair.Today is a new day. I got my concerns resolved by the management yesterday . I was assured that they would address making sure patients would get seen in the order in which they register. I have confidence that they will respect and honor my concern.
The wait is ridiculous. Got there an hour early and there were already over 100 people on line with the line curving over the block. They really need to make sure theyre on point especially this time of year. It should be illegal to have people waiting hours in the freezing cold and rain, seems like a potential liability issue in the making.
I went here for an ear infection and the doctor misdiagnosed the type of ear infection. He gave me the wrong medication (oral antibiotics instead of drops) and the pain got so bad I lost hearing in my left ear and the infection spread to my jaw. It wasn’t only until I saw an ENT a few days later that I learned the urgent care doctor misdiagnosed me and gave me antibiotics that will not work on the type of infection I had. This is incredibly frustrating. Medrite’s misdiagnosis not only left me in excruciating pain, it also made the infection worse. I am now seriously concerned about permanent hearing loss in my ear due to this doctor’s negligence. Ear infections are incredibly easy to diagnose — I don’t know how he could’ve gotten this basic thing so wrong. I will never ever ever come here again.
IM HERE RIGHT NOW AND IT WAS SO CROWDED THE GUY SAID GO SIT ON THE COVID SIDE I SAID WHY WOULD I SIT OVER THERE WHEN FOLKS WERE COMIN N FOR TESTS I DONT WANNA SIT AMONGST POSSIBLY POSITIVE FOLKS JUS DISGUSTING THE THINGS FOLKS SAY BUT IT GOT CROWDED IN FRONT THEY DID NOTHING TIL I SPOKE ON IT THE THEY INVITED SOME TO SIT IN THE COVID TESTIN SIDE THEN YOUNG LADY CAME FROM RHE BACK WITH AN ATTITUDE CAUSE I SPONE UP
I love Med Rite Urgent Care! Professional. Efficient. Personable. Well-supplied with diagnostic tools AND post-injury supports. I pay-thru-the-nose for health care back in suburban Chicago, and my experience here at a public walk-in clinic in Brooklyn RIVALS THEIR CARE -- thank you thank you thank you!
I usually like this urgent care but their customer service is horrible. you have to wait almost 4 hours just to be seen for a test that takes less than 5 minutes. they’re probably extremely understaffed but, they need to communicate that instead of having people wait outside in the cold for hours. I’ve been waiting in line since 9:45AM it’s almost 12PM and I’m certain I won’t be out of here until 1PM or even later. this is extremely unprofessional. I only come here because I live two blocks away but I guess I will just have to travel somewhere else from now on for quicker medical services.update:so I left around 1:30-1:40PM when I got there at 9:45AM. the guy who tested me was nice & it was painless! however they really need to do something about the wait times. I ended up being late to my final exam because I had to wait for over 3 hours for a COVID test that took less than 5 minutes.
This review is about the Covid processWent Wednesday the 5th of January.Got in line about 3:45pm after a while a gentle en came by asked what test we wanted and had we been there before. So far so good.Eventually, not long, got into the waiting room.About an hour wait was called up.No problem with the wait. This is serous and they are busy.I was getting two test including the rapid. The ladies were great. Then this is when it falls apart.Wasn’t told when I could expect the results, yes I should of asked but they should of mentioned it.It is now Friday evening and still no results.I have filled out the form in the web site and got thanked for filling it out.No email saying I filled out and almost 5 hours latter and still no results. So yeah they have a communication problem.
Everyone at this location was very nice and polite. My wait time outside was pretty short. My wait time inside was long because the woman at the desk never entered my name into the computer, so my name wasn’t being called until I questioned her about how long I had been waiting.
SCAM ALERT: These guys will bill you for your visit even if your insurance covers the visit. They’ll bill you 90 days later and claim it’s too late to accept your insurance “due to insurance filing guidelines”.The doctor I saw was wonderful though, such a shame this company is so corrupt. How many people have they scammed money out of?
The staff on site were nice however the covid results didn’t take 36-72 hrs which is what was promised. My family needed the results to travel to Canada which requires the results within 72 hrs. On the third day I called, and they said the results would be ready for 12:30pm Monday. If this isn’t possible, don’t promise it. I called so many times and told them my family was at the border, and the customer service representative just kept on saying call back at the end of the day or Tomorrow morning ignoring our situation. We did our test on Saturday and the lab received it Monday. We also went with a total of 7 people and only 2 people received the results in time which I don’t understand if we all took it together. Also, when I called to on the third day to see if my groups results were ready, For consent of each member of my group, I had to say the address and email on the accounts, and they had to repeat it on the phone which was the stupidest thing ever lol. Overall, the results took 5 days to come which was pointless. Change your results times to 3-7 days if your not gonna get it done in 72 hrs, people look for places with the fastest results for travelling purposes and your false promises can mess up a lot of people’s plans.
I visited this urgent care and the staff was very attentive, helpful and compassionate. I didn’t wait long and was listened to by the PA and the doctor. Sure enough I was tested for both the flu and for Covid and was positive for Covid. The doctor checked my vitals and gave me a note for work. I was originally scheduled for an appointment with a doctor in the Advantage care clinic on Dekalb and Nostrand, however they called me back and basically kicked me out saying they couldn’t see me…and asked that I visit an urgent care. Thankfully I googled the closest Urgent care and found this one. God bless the doctors there they are very brave and caring…I have already recommended this site!Very pleased~Marisol
I met with the associates and staff upon entry . BE SURE TO MASK UP!!!! They clearly don’t know what they’re doing. There’s staff training new recruits and will willingly enter information of a medication because they don’t know how to spell the name correctly. The NP is not knowledgeable of what medications to prescribe you based on the medical coverage you have. If you’re not computer savvy you will sit in the waiting room for sometime trying to register yourself to be seen. If your trying to stretch the day then visit them now. When trying to call back regarding prescriptions prescribed ….GOOD LUCK they’re rude!
The best staff, seriously cannot say enough good things. As any UC sometimes the wait is a little long because the order of non-covid patients gets wonky but considering they’re seeing hundreds of people a day with the influx of testing, a srsly negligible note. (Other UCs weren’t even willing to see me past 10am because they filled up so fast with covid testing they turned away all patients for the day within an hour of opening)
The staff here were all very friendly when you get to interact with them. Apart from that, the experience was really poor, mostly to do with failed communication. The worst part is that I didn’t receive my PCR results at all (supposed to take 30-48 hours, it’s now been over a week) and trying to use their phone system to submit inquiries about it went nowhere. That of course makes the glacier-slow epic wait time (over 4 hours) feel like even more of a waste. They do have an online portal for booking specific appointment times, but during the holiday crush at least it doesn’t actually mean anything. I figured that out on a hunch but they should do more to indicate that on the website.Even allowing that the brutal combo of holidays + omicron wave was bound to mean extended waiting, there’s no real communication around what to expect or what’s going on, so you’re stuck wondering when the line is going to move again and why it seems to take an hour to do so at a time.
This place is terrible I waited 5 1/2 hours to get tested in the rain. I took a rapid and PCR receive my rapid Results three days later and still have not received my PCR that I took last Saturday a week ago. Also they don’t pick up the phone and they don’t return text messages.
Not normally someone who leaves bad reviews online, but want to share my experience: needed to get a rapid covid test for my daughter. Had made an appointment on their web site for around 1pm. Arrived on time, but waited on line outside for nearly and hour. Then inside for nearly another hour. Finally got tested around 3:00. Was told to expect results in 2-3 hours. After 3 hours i called and was told it would take another 30-60 minutes. In 30 minutes i indeed got a message, but for an email with the results in a zip file. Lucky had my laptop, since zip files arent phone friendly.I feel bad because the staff was super nice and professional. But I would strongly recommend going pretty much anywhere else, unless youre okay with a rapid test taking six hours from start of appointment to result.
I was at the location on Myrtle Avenue at 7.45 on Monday morning for a Covid test with 50 people ahead of me - and the line moved slowly. It was 17 deg with wind chill - went up to a high of 28-30 around 10 am. However the staff registered everyone who was there in a few hours and except the first 50 or so asked all others to return home snd come back after a few hours so that they were not waiting outside in the cold weather for hours. I finally got tested around 4 hours after I got there but the staff were always patient and professional - I will def go back if I need medical help in a pinch.
This place was great! Clean and friendly, close to my home, and most important efficient. I showed up for a full Covid test and after just a half hour wait got right in. Took two minutes in the exam booth. Results in under 24 hours. Waiting room was even socially distanced. Really glad to have a place like this nearby!
I had a coworker injure his leg on a work trip to Brooklyn, we stopped at this urgent care facility in order to evaluate the extent of the damage. There was an hour long line of patients waiting outside in the heat, people walking in, and in general a lot of different people with a lot of questions and a lot of moving parts. The staff here did a great job in being calm and polite to everyone while maintaining a sanitary environment. Everything felt orderly and they promptly made us feel comfortable with a wheel chair for my coworker while we filled out our intake forms.Mellisa at the front desk especially did a great job in helping me interface with my companies medical department to facilitate work authorization for treatment of my coworker. She was a respectful and calm professional. The gentleman checking folks in who’s name I didn’t catch did a great job in keeping people up to date and sanitizing the waiting room between patients.10/10 id come back if being injured wasn’t a prerequisite
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever received such good care from my regular doctors…. I am so pleasantly surprised at how efficient and caring this walk-in clinic/urgent care office was. There was no wait, and I was having chest pain. Registration was easy. They spent lots of time with me and let me ask questions and got me all of the critical tests. I was relieved that it was nothing serious and am thankful that everyone I spoke to, from the receptionist to the nurses and doctors, were professional, helpful, caring and patient. Highly highly recommend Medrite if you need urgent care.
Though the lineup was long (the Friday afternoon before Christmas), the staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole process was very organized. I waited over two hours. Most importantly, though, the staff were so kind to me after I told them that I tend to faint when getting blood tests (was taking the antibody test). They were all so considerate and really helped make sure I was extra safe and comfortable through the whole process. I would definitely recommend for any medical service including covid and antibody testing.
I came here to take my COVID test . It was my first time getting it done , the person who did my test her name is Temeka she was super nice , informative, and patient with me. Also the people at the front desk was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I went back again and still everyone was friendly and nice.
Excellent service. Danny and Richard greeted me once I got in and helped me register. They were both truly kind and informative. Also, super clean they clean the seats for you to sit in. Kelly was also extremely helpful and kind. She helped me set up my portal and I was in and out of there very quickly. Thank you guys for making it so easy and pleasant.
This place is horrible organized. If you are looking for a rapid or PCR test, I would highly suggest you try another location that takes appointments or at least has a more efficient process. I have been to this location on 2 separate occasions to get a rapid test which literally takes less than a minute to do but both times waited in line for more than an hour (2 hours the first time) to get tested. I have never seen lines not wrapping around the building. Staff is friendly enough but management is doing nothing to speed up or organize the process (including just allowing people to make appointments). I won’t be back- horrible experience.
Amazing urgent care. I have had 3 covid tests done here and the staff are always friendly. Very long lines during these times but they are efficient. On a Saturday I had to wait about 2 1/2 hours in a line outside. So be prepared if you plan on coming for a test. They are very organized which is great. Someone offers bottled water and brings out paperwork to fill out ahead of time. Inside they keep assigned seating at a social distance and wipe down seats every time someone gets up. Grateful for the staff and all the hard work they do
I’m very high risk for covid, I made an appointment for a COVID booster at 11am yesterday. I got to this location and there was a line that went almost 2 blocks… I was told the appointments mean nothing and I would still have to wait who knows how many hours in line. Honestly a bit ridiculous to set up appointments and then ignore them
1. Attention was nice from the first call.2. Very convenient schedule and large location for Brooklyn north patients.3. Extremely easy mobile registration4. Accommodating and kind staff5. Experienced and soft handed testing6. Quick and responsive results.7. Best urgent care I ever been.
DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment for a Covid booster shot. I pre-registered. I arrived on time. It was not crowded then. They would not even let me check in!! Instead they shunted me outside to two lines forming - one for Covid Visit Only and one for Private Visit. As I was there for a Covid vaccine, i entered the Covid Visit Only line. It is WINTER in NYC and the area they had us gather was a wind tunnel between two buildings. After 20 minutes in line, an employee came out and said that private visits would have to wait a while. I mentioned I had an appt for a booster shot and she told me that was a private visit and I had to get in the back of that line, which had only grown. I left. Why allow us to make appointments if you wont honor them? Whats the point of pre-registering? Why dont you have a SIGN saying COVID BOOSTER SHOTS ARENT CONSIDERED COVID VISITS????? Ridiculous place. Poorly run.
This place use to be my go-to place to get tested early on in the pandemic. The wait would be short and I’d be in and out. You would think further into the pandemic it would get better and not worst. I waited for almost two hours and still did not get tested. I came back and still waited. It’s not even a five minute test. Also, If you guys don’t take appointments, the owner or whoever is in charge of online details should take that off the website. People make appointments online to come in and get told that “There are no appointments” Fix your website.
I visited this location to do a pre-employment drug screen. DO NOT DO THIS. Ten days later and I am still waiting for the result. At any other business or lab service, this test takes 24-48 hours, and anyone you talk to at MedRite gives you a different timeline (48 hours, 2-4 days, 3-5 days, 7-10 days). There is absolutely no reason it should take this long. Every day, Im told there is no result and someone will call me back. No calls and no explanations. I am losing work and wages every day as I can not start until its resolved, do not make the same mistake.
The staff was friendly and it didnt seem crowded but I came for Covid Testing and was told I couldnt take a test without waiting 90 days after having a positive test. This rule wasnt listed on their site, otherwise I would not have gone. The point of a Covid test is to see if you are negative or positive and its disappointing you cant get that done here apparently.
Eventually Didn’t get result…Just not understand that why is line is not moving for over 30min….Eventually i waited 2hours…I made appointment but they said it’s resister… but there is time I could chose… confused..I visited many covid test place and I just really don’t understand why took the long…They really need to fix this.Getting cold outside wait to test… please wear warm so you don’t get sick.
Very fast and convenient, the whole process took me about 25 minutes to get in and out, and I hadnt even made an appointment. Maybe I just lucked out or its not as busy for travel, but I walked in yesterday (thurs) around 2:30p for a covid test. No line outside, they let me in and I registered in the waiting room which took about 5-10mins. After registration I probably waited another 15 before getting called in. They gave me a rapid and a pcr covered by NYS and then let me out. I got my rapid results in a few hours via text, and my pcr results about 9hrs later. Staff was friendly and on point. I wish everything in NY was this straightforward.
Excellent service. The staff at reception area were friendly and respectful. Melissa was exceptionally kind and engaged, administering the test swiftly and painlessly. The results came well within 3 hours. Extremely grateful. There was an error in my first draft of this review and I apologise.
**Update 3 Weeks Later** I still never got my COVID results from MedRite. Even just asking about them is a lot of work and wasted time on the phone. They are still charging my insurance.DO NOT USE FOR TRAVEL COVID TESTS! Save yourself major headaches! They have a reservation system but they do not take reservations. Took a good 3 hours on one of their slower days.12 hours after my test was completed i got a text to check my results but could not login with the link. After 3 different follow up calls and over 4 hours on the phone i still do not have my results. Every agent has wildly different reasons as to why i dont have my Test Results.I ended up getting a same day test at Lab Q to make my flight in time.
Everyone was really kind and nice. I was a bit emotional during my visit and I was comforted by the staff their. They were very compassionate and thoughtful. I had a few concerns and they help me to feel more at ease. Will come back again and will refer their services.
My visit at MetRite was extremely stress-free. I was taken right away. The entire staff were friendly and very helpful. I am fearful of medical visits but being here made it very comfortable and easy. It’s so wonderful to have a facility like this a few streets away from my residence!
They don’t do covid test appointments, I waited ~40 min for a covid test, which is not terrible. But the front desk was really rude to me and was rolling her eyes at patients. I took a rapid covid test that was supposed to take 3 hours. I never received my test results until I called the next day. I asked them to email my result and they never did.
It’s only this location that makes you wait outside in the freezing cold for a long time to be seated. The person who registers people told me he’ll be outside but doesn’t come out for another 15 minutes. That’s crazy. I pre-registered for a COVID-19 test and I had to do it again which is highly annoying. Then the wait time itself for testing is insane.
If you’re in need of a COVID-19 test, especially a rapid test, I would suggest finding another clinic. Like many others have stated, you can “pre register” and “schedule a time” for your test only to have to wait in a multi-hour queue for a simple and quick test. As I write this I have been waiting for 90 minutes and still have several people ahead of me. Seems really inefficient and unnecessary.
I needed a rapid covid test in a hurry and found these guys in my neighborhood. They were extremely helpful over the phone and told me I could walk in at any time before 8pm. Once there, I didn’t have to wait long and the person conducting the test was so good I didn’t feel any discomfort other than the urge to sneeze. Highly recommend.
Came here with my daughter to get a Covid test before a trip to the Bahamas and was amazed at how easy the process was. We were in and out within a half hour. The facility at Myrtle Ave. where we were seen was very clean, organized and the staff was very polite and professional, especially Temeka the young lady that administered my test. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone.
We were running out of options late on a Sunday to get tests for our family. We passed by this location, saw it was open and a manageable line to get in.We asked if they were still taking patients and from then in it was the best covid test experience we’ve had of the 10+ we’ve taken. From outside greeting to check in, to test and departing, this team was fantastic, super nice, thorough and professional; all at the end of their shifts on a cold Sunday. We will make them our first stop next time and encourage anyone else to do the same.
Came here for the first time for a covid test. Did a walk in and was in and out in under an hour. The staff is really friendly and professional. And place is super clean. They wipe the seats off after someone leaves. While I hope to not need an urgent care in the near future, this will be my go to one if I do!Also, I received my rapid results in 30 mins, which is much less than the 3 hour wait I was quoted!
I was frustrated by the wait time for a COVID test, because I didn’t realize that making an appointment has absolutely no influence on when you will be seen. Had I known that, I would have showed up first thing in the morning instead of standing for two hours in the cold. But the staff were absolutely lovely and once I was seen, everything appeared extremely efficient. I appreciate how positive, friendly and competent everyone was, especially given the sheer number of people they are dealing with on a daily basis.
The only reason I’m giving a 3, is for one person only. The place itself is great, very clean and thorough.I have been getting COVID tests there for months now and have never had a problem. Nurses are nice and quick with the process. Today was a different story. Nurse Melissa, gave the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. When I first walked in, she was speaking so quiet (like she did not want to be there), I couldn’t hear her. She then proceeded to roll her neck as she was asking me questions because she looked tired and sore. No politeness or professionalism, literally looked like it was the last place she wanted to be. When the actual testing came, I have never had someone so rough with the process. It is always uncomfortable but it felt like she jabbed the cotton tip up there as hard as she could. I could taste blood in the back of my throat. Like I said, the test is always uncomfortable but this was actually painful.Very disappointed that I had her for my testing, walked out feeling like I needed to apologise for being there.Sad as usually I love this place!
Have to start off with saying SOFIA made my experience a positive one. Without her there it would have been a very different one. She was helpful, friendly and on top of her game! The other reception staff were lackluster at best, and not friendly at all.The woman who did my COVID test was great, fast, friendly and did a great job with the swab. The place was meticulously clean (thanks to Sofia!) and they had a great system for signing in & waiting. The wait outside was brutal (crazy cold night) but Sofia saved the day by passing out had warmers compliments of MedRite.Overall a great experience thanks to Sofia. Everyone else was pleasant enough & Im sure they were just itching to get home after a LONG day.
I was there for a fall and injury and They were Compassionate Thorough Kind Caring Helpful Informative Patient And very Clean They did X-Rays and gave me a CD for future possible appts with another physician. I will definitely make them my new urgent care No question asked and I will refer them to everyone from now on!
My partner and I went in for Covid tests this morning. This was probably the best experience we’ve had thus far. All the staff were friendly and efficient, especially the two healthcare workers that assisted me — both named Brittney. They really helped make the whole experience much more pleasant; they were compassionate, patient, and efficient. The clinic was clean; the waiting room chairs were wiped down between patients and the 6 ft rule was enforced. Thank you for the 5 star service!
The nurse that attended me blonde hair kind of short. Hispanic lady. I got covid symptoms and she made me feel real comfortable. You know you’d think she’d be stand-offish but it was completely otherwise She took good care of me even made me laugh. I need her number 😍 but on a serious note. It’s a great office. Really clean. The front desk staff take care of you quickly. I love it there. Thank you guys for everything !
Like any UC these folks are very busy during this COVID situation but they remain organized and keep a steady place. They followed the CDC guidelines and I saw the man working in the lobby floor wiping every surface over and over after they had been touched. The girls working the phones were helpful and polite. My medtech was able to get my blood on the first try and she was very friendly. The doctor saw me quickly and was very efficient. Thank you for your services!
Best experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care. The staff were all very professional and nice. The space was very clean. I saw doctor Arena, she was amazing! She listened and took a great history, created a treatment plan and explained everything to me. She explained what she was prescribing and why. Super smart, empathetic and professional. I wish she could be my GP! Nurses, MA, X-ray tech, front desk staff, everyone was phenomenal.
This place was extremely clean and the associates were very friendly. The test was quick and done by the associate professionallyprofessionally and with ease. I heard so many negative things about thus test but I hardly felt anything when the associate put the swab up my nose. Excellent facility.
Currently standing in line that I was told would be 2.5 hour wait for a covid rapid test. Tent pop-ups are faster than this place. I dont understand why they dont let you make an appointment for a time slot, or text people when it is almost their turn. Im in line next to a pregnant woman who was asked to also wait in line despite pre-registering. How awful, and what a mess.
2h wait for a flu shot. They have a COVID test “appointment” system online which does not actually translate into an appointment, you still go to the end of the (long) line whenever you arrive. The website’s description of wait times is very misleading across the board.
They are very well skilled very helpful and fast you dont be waiting all day and they defenitly live by their buisness name. Also the doctors are amazing and so are the ladies at the front. The ones that are outside to take your name and details they get the job done.I would travel to their urgent care be they are a work place to go when its urgent and they do care lol ijs
I just went to get a walk-in COVID rapid test (Thursday, around 1:40pm) and the entire thing took 20 minutes! Truly rapid! I was fifth or sixth in line when I got there. The staff is very friendly. Last time I went to get a rapid test before Thanksgiving, the line was much longer and a worker handed out hand warmers to everyone. Glad to have this MedRite around.
I was so impressed with the effort they put in with people who are entering and leaving this facility. They were wiping doors and seats and everything was organized. It was really impressive.I didnt wait long and everyone was so nice and pleasant.I would highly recommend this facility for urgent care.
I came here for something urgent and was greeted and helped by a delightful young lady named Chanel. She was very gentle, informative, and answered all my questions without a problem. She drew my blood & that was the best experience I’ve ever had! She took good care of me while I was at this facility. I would recommend her!
I came here to get some paperwork completed but instead I was handed incomplete paperwork by the front desk and told everything was good. Mind you I told him I came for the paperwork and a booster shot which I was told by their office I needed. The front desk needs to pay more attention to the clients when they are speaking. I came here in two different occasions I told the front desk why I was here and both times I sat in the waiting room for over 15mins before they asked why I was here. A big inconvenience especially when you have other things you have to do then waste your time. I came here because it was supposed to be quick and easy this was the last time I come here.
I arrived at 9am on Sunday for a COVID test. The employees seem to be moving as quickly and efficiently as possible for the 35+ people waiting for COVID tests. I left at 11am after being tested. All employees were great.I would recommend filling out your paperwork and uploading your ID and insurance online prior to arriving.
Edit: I updated my review because I just received a call from the medical director, who was able to sort out everything below. Honestly, this call went above my expectations for customer service and we were able to discuss through all the issues below and I truly felt cared for. It is good to know that there is something reading the reviews beyond just the response below!I have come to this location monthly since June for COVID testing—while the process has changed a few times, that experience has been smooth. The facility is clean, quick, and most of the folks here are very friendly. However, in the last two months, Ive had two experiences that required me to visit in person for medical care. The first time, the staff was exceptional but they forgot to send my prescription in. I called, and dealt with a long phone wait-time, but it was resolved and they even called the next day to confirm it went through. I left with clear care and directions, they even gave me 1 pill to make sure i started the course of antibotics.Second time, I came in for a wound I thought was infected. I was seen by three, maybe four NPs/doctors, including one where there was a loud conversation about not liking feet right outside my door (it was a foot wound). Needless to say, I felt very awkward when I was finally seen by another doctor. I was prescribed an antibiotic, asked to confirm my pharmacy, and sent on my way with no paperwork or care info other than what i was told (last time I was given a print out and summary). My prescription was not called in, and when i called back that evening, I was told it was. After not getting contacted in the morning, I decided to give them another call. After 30 minutes on hold, they decide they cant hear me and hang up.
Best urgent care experience Ive ever had! The staff is great, theyre all really caring and no one is in a rush to get you out the door. I went in with what I thought was a sprained ankle, but they took some x-rays and turns it out it was fractured! They gave me everything I needed and even taught me how to use crutches. Super clean facilities as well, and they offer you everything you could ever want (water, snacks, phone charger, etc).
This is the third time I have visited this MedRite on Myrtle Ave. in Brookyn for a COVID-19 test. The location is super convenient because it is on the same block where I live.On each visit the staff have been very pleasant, professional and helpful. I appreciate the care that it taken to maintain social distancing and to ensure that surfaces are sanitized. I feel that I’m in a safe environment. On today’s visit I was able to register on my phone using a q code which a staff member was kind enough to show me how to use. This made the whole process go more smoother and gave me something to do while I waited outside on line. There were about 20 people on line when I arrived at 8:30am. However, the line kept moving and I was in and out in about 1 hour and 10 minutes. The last twenty minutes I was seated inside.I have been tested 5 times via nasal swab prior to today and it has always been very unpleasant. Before I was tested I advised the technician, her name started with a “K” that my nose was sensitive due to a recent biopsy of a polyp in my nose. “K” did 2 nose swabs and I had to thank her for being so gentle.Best of all I received a phone call about 20 minutes after I had left confirming that my rapid test was negative - PRAISE THE LORD!!Thank you MedRite for excellent service!!
I arrived at 7:13 and was told I could not be seen for testing, when they close at 8pm. This is not the first, second or third time I was sent away, this place is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. It’s clear that they don’t want to help people to go home quicker. I went to the location in Parlslope and was seen at 7:57pm. This shows the difference in care and willingness to help people. I request to be contacted by the owner of this establishment because the girl who helped should not be in the medical field.
Medrite is All Right with me. I went on a Thursday and everything they did made me feel safe. I waited in line and the gentleman handed forms for each of us to complete. As we waited to go in, he came back out and offered everyone a bottle of water. Inside is social distancing seating. They spray the chairs with disinfectant after each person and wipe the boards and pens using for completing the forms. Everyone at the front desk was kind and professional. When it was my turn, Darlene came to get me and she was amazing. She explained everything that would be happening. Darlene is very pleasant and professional. The Covid-19 test went better than i expected and Darlene made the experience a pleasant one. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to other people.
They don’t honor your appointments. This place is a mess. Waited over 2 hours to get a 15-second covid test. The way they were taking our names down was all messed up and people behind us were going in in front of us. Wouldn’t have known unless we asked and complained. It was stressful. Don’t go here.
Horrible experience with allergic reaction! My boyfriend and I went to this urgent care after he had an allergic reaction and had to use an epipen on the way. Upon arriving, the receptionist ignored my boyfriend when he said he used an epipen and the receptionist handed him the clipboard instead to fill out. After filling it out, my boyfriend once again said he had to use an epipen and the receptionist responded with “but you look like you’re breathing fine” I then had to also inform the receptionist that my boyfriend had visible hives on his neck. The nurse then came out and said they would not take him because he had used an epipen and that he would have to go to the ER. The only thing they could do is check his vitals, so he agreed to let them check his vitals. The nurse then left us in the waiting room and started bringing back other people in the waiting room while my boyfriend was still mid reaction! We finally just left to go to the ER. Horrible experience.
Ive only gone twice...but...so far the best covid testing site ive been to. Pretty fast. On starudy i waited 45 mins, not bad. Today i went in the morning (thursday) and waited 10 minutes. They take my insurance which Carecube did not. They dont take your blood pressure or ask you annoying questions they just do the test and get you out...so amazing. The staff is very nice too.
The best experience ever for a walk-in urgent care appointment. This place is nice, clean, and smells good. They have good snacks. The service was great from the receptionist up to the doctor. I was called fast. The exam room was cozy with its own tv and after my appointment I was given a $5 DD gift card. I will recommend this place to anyone and if I have any other emergencies they will definitely see me again. (I’m so sorry I can’t remember everyone’s name but each and every person I encountered was pleasant)
Went in for Covid testing. A queue forms quickly so I recommend going early. All staff were consummate professionals, extremely courteous and welcoming, utterly well organised. If you go for the first time you just scan a QR to fill in a check-in form whilst you wait. Recommend for walk-in testing and other urgent care, very pleased to have this near home.
I was so impressed by the high quality care I received at this clinic! Starting from when I called and made an appointment for the same day, was seen right away, offered snacks and water and was treated with kindness and respect by everyone!! They helped me with things beyond my original appointment needs with ease and made me feel incredibly comfortable. Definitely coming here for my health care needs in the future, and I’m so beyond thankful for this whole team!
Got my Covid test at this place. The line was pretty long, but the process was extremely well organized. We were offered hand warmers, and, since we had provided all the necessary information online, inside we only had to get the test and we were out. Great organization and service!
WONDERFUL! I did the Rapid ($125 if self pay as of Oct 2020) and PCR test (Free) here and the staff were exceedingly kind. I wouldnt dream of taking my next test anywhere else even though this is not my closest option. It is SO clean inside and everyone followed the expected protocols. The front desk, the waiting room attendant, the nurse, the person who called with my rapid results (less than a one hour wait) - all fantastic people. I couldnt be happier with this clinic.
Very nice facility , organized ,and friendly staff. This was my second visit from last year and everything was the same customer service didn’t skip a beat ! Extremely professional nurse Sarah was exceptional both visits . Great location parking was available ! More importantly they sanitized the clip boards, pens, chairs , door handle every time it was touched !!!!
I went in on a Monday, had a throat culture sent out, and was told to take antibiotics until the results came in. They never called me with my results - I finally had to call on Saturday and they told me the culture was negative. I had been taking antibiotics unnecessarily for days.It took another day to get in touch with a doctor to discuss this, and when I asked why no one ever called me with my results they tried to gaslight into believing they tried to contact me unsuccessfully 6 or 7 times. This was not the case - they did try and call a few times, but only AFTER Saturday morning (when I called first) and not the whole week before.I don’t appreciate being made to feel like I was the one being unresponsive when they dropped the ball on getting me my test results.Additionally on my way out on Monday I checked with the front desk to make sure there was no co-pay and was told I was okay to leave. I was well out the door and down the street before another receptionist chased me down and told me I did have a co-pay. I had to turn around, come back in, and settle up.Unprofessional.
Went for covid test towards the end of the day. Waited maybe 5 min after filling out the paperwork. Everyone fully masked up and using safety precautions including the guy hired to open the door (so no one has to touch it!). Said they’d call with results for the free lab test 3-5 days.
Great experience at medrite. They were very professional and empathetic at all times. My new go to if I need urgent care in my neighborhood. Dr Gharib was awesome and had a great bedside manner and I appreciated his detailed explanation of what to do after getting 3 stitches in my knee...
This place is pretty much a scam. Covid test results have taken much longer than they said it would. Every time I call, I get hung up on. Avoid this placeEdit: have been hung up on 4 times nowSecond edit: its been 5 days and I still dont have my test results. I know I have covid because the NYC health department reached out to me. If not, I could have spread covid to so many more people. Avoid MedRite if you have others you care about
Excellent facility, with frequent sanitization and enforced social distancing. Most recently, I received exceptional help from Tari, Richard, Kelly, Ashara, and Connor. They provided kind, helpful service and did their very best to ensure I was tested at and received results from their facility under a time crunch.
On the website it indicates that you can make an appointment for testing, but when I arrived to check in I was told to get in line with everyone else, while simultaneously receiving automated messages saying I had not checked in and I was missing my appointment. Later after filling out the required paperwork I was told to fill out two sheets again because reception had lost them - one of them had my social security number on it. While I completely understand the staff is overwhelmed right now, it seems they have not quite streamlined the process and that they do not in fact really take appointments - if they were upfront about this I think it would lead to less frustration from patients.
Very disappointed. Their website states that it closes at 8:00. So I would naturally assume that I can make it there by 7:30 and be able to get my Covid test. Wrong! They stop testing at 7 pm, it took me 40 minutes to get there and then to be told that they couldnt test me, not cool at all. I practically begged stating that I was around someone who tested positive and felt it was important to get tested immediately. Instead, the guy said sorry, testing is over. On a happy note, I did find another place that closes at 12 a.m. Its at 70 Lee Ave in Brooklyn. The service was great and quick.
Very professional. I made an appointment for 9:25. I got there a few minutes early. I was offered a bottle of water. Had a seat. They took me in at exactly 925. Everyone was very polite and pleasant. I’ve been to this particular site several times and they always very professional. So glad theyre in my neighborhood.
Extremely disappointed. I waited for over 4 hours in the freezing cold and rain on January 3 to take a Covid test. After several days of follow-up calls and nearly a 2-week wait, I still have not received my results. I’ve come to the conclusion that my test was lost, but the staff never returned my phone calls to confirm this.
Went in for a Covid swab and antibody test. Made an appointment online for same day, although you can also walk-in. Facilities are clean, and they had an attendant who was directing patients in the waiting room with forms to ensure social distancing. They also offered me a water bottle upon arrival. I was seen promptly after I filled out my forms and the nurse who took my blood was friendly and kind.
First time here and i would go again! Place is very clean and the staff is amazing shout out to Kristen for being so helpful and understanding and going above and beyond to help me complete my son registration online then also explain the differences between rapid and pcr also break down the purpose of the portal as far as getting results! She was so Polite and answered all questions I had
The website said to expect to wait an hour for testing. We stood in the freezing rain for 3.5 hrs and then in the waiting room for 25 mins before getting rapid & PCR swabs, told us they would call in 1-2 hrs for rapid and 2-3 days for PCR. The doctor left that night before calling with results so our “rapid” test result didn’t come until the next morning (and they were posi I’ve, you’d think it would be a priority) and everyone we spoke to on the phone was very unhelpful and acted like we were being unreasonable. And we spoke to them on the phone a lot because our PCR results took 13 DAYS. Insanely unethical for them to keep testing if they cannot return results in a timely manner in the middle of a deadly pandemic. Shame on you
My partner and I went there to get a PCR test prior to our trip to Puerto Rico. I must say every single person on the stuff, including those on the customer service hotline, were beyond amazing. Professional, kind and organized. We obtain the result of the test in less than 48 hours. Strongly recommend it!
Because I was traveling for business, I made an appointment here for covid testing for 9 am days in advance. I arrived 10 mjn early and the line stretched around the block. I went inside to find out if I needed to wait, and they told me to wait outside. I was never asked if I made an appointment.I waited for over 1 hour before I needed to go back to work. So the entire morning was wasted. What is the point of making an appointment? Noone came outside to ask, or fill out forms or anything. How are people in the queue prioritized against walk ins? Arent these times reserved for people who schedule time?
I had to grab a rapid Covid test for a job that was happening in two days. No test, no job. I was the last in line and told I’d have to come back. I couldn’t because I had to work the next day and they would be closed by the time I got done. The gentleman who worked the door took mercy on me and let me in, even when others stood behind me and he had to send them away. So grateful for the sympathetic staff!!!!
Ive gone to MedRite several times, before and during the pandemic. Wait time has been long during the pandemic (2 hr wait to be seen on July 3rd, seemed like they did about 7 patients an hour) but staff are personable and the nurses and doctors are efficient and knowledgeable. As a repeat patient, they have my info on file and there is very little paperwork to do when I come in.
I dont usually take time to write reviews - but I think now more than ever its important to point our genuine good work. The place is ran very smooth, very clean and everyone is super nice and helpful! The young man especially, I didnt catch his name, but I cant imagine doing the job of keeping everyone in line and in order while sanitizing everything and keeping us all socially distanced. Its a high anxiety situation and people are on edge and he did a great job handling the crowd. My fiancé actually had to tell me to stop staring lol, she thought I looked like a creeper but I was just impressed watching him handle the room and it was early so I was too tired to be slick. I wasnt creeping! Haha, just noticed someone doing a good job in a stressful situation - as was the rest of the office!!!
Fast and Amazing Staff! BUT ZERO AIR CIRCULATION IN THE ROOMS. You go in a room, someone just left...Sure they clean it but they dont clean the air and ummm how do we think this thing is spread?! Moments later you are sitting in the chair taking your mask off to breathe in what the last person sneezed out, cause we all know you sneeze when they slide a giant Q tip up your nose!! MedRite Management, please protect your customers and staff by setting up strong air filters in every room. I feel like Im going to catch covid every time I go there!
My visit to Medrite Urgent Care today was a very good experience. I had not been feeling well the past few days, and decided to go get it checked out this afternoon. Their streamlined approach to signing in and monitoring the wait list is extremely efficient, saving you lots of grief from the hurdles one would normally face when arriving at a medical facility. When I was called to the back, the medical assistant Jackie was very cordial and walked me through my symptoms, while running my vitals. She brought me a bottle of water while I waited for further attention. The provider Maria came in, and was extremely candid and concise with her diagnosis. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who needs urgent medical attention on the go.
This is by far one of the nicest urgent care clinics I have ever gone to! The staff are all so kind and compassionate, they treat you with a courtesy and care that is nearly impossible to find anywhere else. Each staff member I interacted with had a warmth about them that put me at ease and made me sure that I was receiving the best care. I highly recommend the Medrite Urgent Care on Myrtle!
Booked an appointment for a “rapid” covid test, got to the facility on time but my appointment was not honored because there where too many people trying do walk ins, understandably I guess... After waiting in line for 2 hours, I get my test done and the medical assistant said I would get a call and email with my results within 45 mins. 3.5 hours go bu and nothing so I call and the receptionist was extremely rude saying that my results have yet to be processed and that I’ll receive a call when they’re ready, most likely within an hour or so. I call back 2 hours later and I’m greeted with another very rude receptionist telling me the same thing. As I’m writing this over 8 hours later, I have still have yet to hear anything or receive any type of correspondence letting my know that my results are delayed. They staff is very rude and not helpful at all. Don’t waste your money getting rapid covid testing at Medrite.
I would first like to say the MedRite urgent care located on myrtle Ave in Brooklyn, has been one of the CLEANEST doctors office I have been to in NYC, and I was fortunate enough to have been seen by (Chanea, Olivia) and also by (Chanel). they are angels In disguise. The amount of care I received by these two women was immeasurable, they made me feel safe at a time when it’s so scary to be in a building with total strangers who all are seeking medical attention during a pandemic. I would recommend this place to anyone. A 10 is not enough and five stars is not enough to Give to this location
Don’t do it !!! So unorganized- made an appointment for covid test, have been waiting outside in a line with people who didn’t make an appointment. Getting txt messages saying you are going to lose your appointment if you don’t check in. They just tell you to go in line again with a mix of people with appointments and without. They should have two lines if that’s the case. In addition their waiting line is in between two buildings creating a freezing wind tunnel. And given an appointment time at 830 - tell you to arrive 10 mins early for check in - then leave you outside for an hour plus. Need to revamp their system cuz it’s broken - make real appointments or not at all so people know what to expect
As a Pratt student MedRite has been a big help to me. I came in multiple times for COVID testing which didn’t need insurance, and other doctor related questions when I contracted mono. They work systematically and have patients outside as well as inside to capacity, their hours are also very gracious for a doctor place.
I went for a Rapid Covid test and the person at the door was so helpful. The line was maybe 10 people long and I was in and out in less than 1 hr!!! Everyone was super nice and super kind and super professional. They called me in less than 2hr with the results (negative thankfully)!!! Highly recommend this place!!! Thank you everyone there!!!
Their service in person, phenomenal! From barely waiting to a very professional staff! However when I called them back after returning a missed call, I stayed on the line for 3 hours only for them to hang up my call. No one ever answered! Luckily I was just home so I let it play in the background but wow all that for nothing. Only because of this do I give it 3 stars
I had a really really great experience here i was terrified to get my blood drawn but when Jackie did it it was painless and quick! Both her and Thalita were so kind, compassionate, and helpful and really made me feel comfortable when i needed it. I felt like i was in very good hands they were awesome :)
Very nice staff, short wait, very clean. The place smells of chemically air fresheners (which seems like it would exacerbate some symptoms and personally feels very unnatural to be breathing in) also the music was rather loud for an office with sick people. Lastly, they offer plastic bottles of water, I wish they had a filtering system on the wall so that you could fill your own water bottle or paper cup (more sanitary that the drinking fountain). I bet this all sounds really picky but I can see that this business cares and I would like to keep supporting them so I want to be honest. I would recommend this place but hope they can consider this opinion.
Firstly i wanted experience how disappointed i am, keeping to your word is one thing but then going back on them is another. I was told to take down my negative reviews for an incident that occurred on my visit to medrite in return i would get a refund for the poor service i hot cause am still living with the problem i had before visiting medrite so i did just that and in the end i was refunded my 125$ only to be billed again by mail few months later. The reason why i paid this 125$ was because i was told people who didn’t have insurance get discounted for the money the paid but in the end i didn’t get any discount and i got charged and also a poor service. I would suggest you stay away. And this time i won’t even listen to no customer service trying to reach out cause i would pay this bill and make sure this stays on
This is my hyper clean COVID test go to but today I actually needed urgent care. It turns out bicycles dont balance well on ice and post a terrible fall I chose MedRite vs nightmare ER. What to say? Every single person radiated professionalism, kindness and comfort with and respect for diverse communities. As a WOC I feel it is important to point out that from receptionist to PA I was treated as an intelligent person who deserved to understand their care. The gentleman who keeps order in the lobby even assisted me in guiding my Lyft from busy Myrtle Ave. to the convenient parking rotunda in front of the facility. In a vulnerable moment you will be safe here. Cheers.
Went for COVID testing, really great experience, friendly staff, passed out hand warmers for when we were outside standing in line. Went on New Year’s Day and the line wasn’t bad first thing in the morning, and basically no line at around 10am once the rush was taken care of. Would recommend
The ladies in MedRite are absolutely amazing!!! I was working feeling horrible and needed some assistance quickly. Darlene at the front desk kept me quite entertained until I was called. My nurse Sarah did an amazing job getting all my info put in the system without asking me the same thing over and over. I have no voice. Very compassionate bunch. Now they supervisor J. T is truly an angel!!! Thank you ladies for EVERYTHING.
Money-driven institute. Probably paid for so many ⭐. We called Med-Rite prior, to ask them if the flu-shot would be free with our insurance (answer was yes - if the insurance covers it). So we called our insurance, to make sure if a flu-shot is fully covered if we went to Med-Rite on Myrtle - answer was yes)... Arrived and filled all the paperwork, waited for ~20 minutes... Then was called to the desk, asking us for either $30 for a flu-shot, or $50 as urgent care visit Co-Pay. How come if we dont use insurance its considered as flu-shot, but if we use the insurance it becomes an emergency visit? Feels like they wanna mentally exhaust you into giving up since we already waited and just pay to get it over with. Disappointing, wasting time and papers. Ended up just going to Walgreens 6 minutes away, we were both done within 15 minutes. (To Med-Rites reply - you dont seem to locate us in the system because we decided to leave and you probably tossed our paperwork - just as to clarify to anyone who might think im mistaking you guys with another place... im not, and when we came back with the insurance on the line, you answered this is our policy).
Originally went to the 151 Court st. location and they did not have all testing available (after a rep over the phone told me they did). They informed me to head over to 504 Myrtle where they did rapid testing for Covid. This was 2pm yesterday and I didn’t receive my results until I texted them to ask for them at which point they sent me a password protected file WITHOUT the password. Once I got the password I opened the file and it was BLANK. Now on hold for a representative over the phone who will probably be of zero assistance. Terribly ran place with very nice staff.
The staff at MedRite 504 Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn NY was not only professional and efficient, but very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The place was immaculate and the process for Covid testing smooth. I trust that all MedRite locations are good, but from firsthand experience - the staff here is wonderful.
Very disorganized. Staff often forgets to give proper information and we have to call over and over to get results/portal info etc. Often times 1 or more employees are not wearing masks properly (covering nose). Always seems to be a problem, miscommunication, or error on their part. Very frustrating.

2021-12-30Every time I come here, I am amazed by the staff’s kindness and helpfulness. Especially with COVID, they face huge crowds but manage the line efficiently. My vaccine and subsequent testing were carefully explained and completed quickly + pain-free. They do their best to make patients feel comfortable despite the challenges of the pandemic. Grateful for this group and their service.

2022-01-05Even though the lines were extremely long (over an hour or two wait outside, depending on the day) as everywhere is these days, once you got inside the staff was friendly and organized and had the routine down to get people in and out quickly. There was also a staff member making sure that each waiting room seat was clean before someone else took that seat. Also, there was someone handing out handwarmers and water for the people waiting outside. I would definitely recommend this place, just make sure to get there early to keep the wait time down.

2022-03-31Very well organized in general throughout the pandemic. Had a couple of experiences to note where development was needed. 1) Results not being reported out when I needed them and 2) A rough nose jabber 😹. Both of these issues seem to be clearing up. I was notified of my results twice, and they now even check in with you on whether you received your results. My nose jabbers have been gentle lately.

2022-06-10The front desk staff and doctor was amazing. I want to really shout out my medical assistant Grace (who is also the manager). She was kind, caring, very knowledgeable and so good with drawing my blood and doing my EKG. I have already recommended my family to come here if they need anything and to specifically ask for Grace. Thank you Medrite!

2022-02-01Came in a few minutes before 8 (their posted closing time) with a very bad cut on my finger that would not stop bleeding. The first thing the receptionist said to me was pointing out the time, implying that it was unreasonable for me to seek care because they were about to close. The doctor would not see me because it was too close to closing time and told me to go to the ER, where I would have certainly been exposed to COVID and had to wait for hours. Thankfully another urgent care took care of my injury in less than 20 minutes. I know and appreciate that health care workers have incredibly demanding schedules, but if the staff aims to leave at 8 pm this location should change its hours or post the time when they stop seeing patients.

2022-02-13Went here after a kitchen accident where my husband sliced his finger open. As soon as we walked in, the staff made sure my husband was seen immediately. The doctor was knowledgeable, calm, and efficient. We had a great experience!

2022-03-30The Staff were Polite and very helpful. We were made to feel relaxed and comfortable during our wait time. My Granddaughter was given a small gift bag with things to occupy her while we waited. There were sanitizers available as were a few other things. We were able to take, e.g water, small sanitizer, lollipop and lip balms. The wait time was not long and the nurse was friendly, caring and very gentle in Doing my test. Overall it was a Good experience..

2022-07-02First of all want to say that the wait time was very reasonable and the front desk staff were friendly and nice. However, diagnosing me and helping me get treatment for my ailment took way too long. The PA who saw me was nice and listened to my concerns, but they didn’t help me get better.I was having clear signs of cystitis which they mentioned as a possibility and asked me if I want to go ahead with medication, but I said I would prefer to wait for the lab results since, according to them, the results would only take 24 hours. Then, Instead of focusing on the possibility of cystitis, they advised me to go to the ER to check if it’s appendicitis. I think a more experienced PA or doctor would have been able to tell the difference, especially as I was not in pain. I really did not make any complaints about pain so I’m not sure how we ended up spending most of the time talking about my appendix which of course caused me unnecessary anxiety and diverted my attention from what I actually had.So I was told my lab results would take 24 hours but ended up taking 5 days! I get that they dont control the lab but I asked about this more than once and they reassured me it shouldn’t be more than 48 hours max…(meanwhile later on the phone I was told that lab results take more like a minimum of 3 days!)I went home and waited 2 days with no lab results. I was still feeling bad so I called the clinic asking if I can have the medication after all even though the lab results were not ready (I was suffering so what else could i do at this point?) The person on the phone said they would arrange for someone to call me back and help me get a prescription but no one called me!I had to sit at home for 5 days in serious discomfort until finally I got a call about my results confirming I have an infection and need treatment. I also saw the results from the eval they did on site on the day of my visit, and like I said before, I think someone more experienced would have been able to diagnose me definitively much sooner.Honestly I’m just glad I followed my instincts and didn’t go to the ER where I would have spent hours and hundreds of dollars to be told I don’t have appendicitis…

2022-04-11Im not going to bury the lede here: do not call patients if everything is fine. I went in for STI testing and got a voicemail about my results asking for me to call back. I called back and they told me everything was fine and then emailed me the results.I wouldve given this feedback directly to the clinic but theres no way to do that without calling, and theres no way Im calling them back. It was difficult enough to communicate via phone the first time. The in-clinic experience itself was mediocre at best, but the fact that they called for negative results is criminal.I pre-registered and the wait was still well over half an hour. They seemed very disorganized and didnt know what was going on, and there was very little communication. I eventually had to fill out the paper form to register anyway. The staff were all polite and the interaction with the practitioners were fine. Results took an entire week to come back, which seems excessive (and is longer than the 3-5 days they told me).Theres no way Im going back here. Do not call patients if everything comes back negative. And maybe set up an email inbox or something.
