Mens Wearhouse in other cities:
Took my son to MW in Albany on Wolf Rd. Was hoping for my son to he a great experience getting a tux for his prom. Well, that didnt happen. Rude right from the beginning. When we went to pick up the tux, it was just as we expected. Pants were too small, dress shirt was WAY to small and the jacket, well, we wont even go there. After very rudely giving him the correct pants and shirt, again, we wont go there with the jacket . We left. After paying over $200 to rent this tux it was totally messed up. Will never go back to this joke of place again. Thanks for the worst experience ever.
So overpriced it’s ridiculous, quality was terrible…better off buying a suit. Definitely not the place to go if you want a good job done without having to keep coming back for alterations. Staff has also made me to feel bad about my own choices that I wanted to wear at my own wedding. Super rude, need to reevaluate their staff. I recommend you go anywhere but men’s warehouse unless you are super desperate. Otherwise don’t waste your time, they are just terrible. Have given them too many chances as is. Hope this helped some people if you’re wondering. It’s only good for a last resort…if that.
Up until this year I had nothing but good experiences with this store or its employees. They were good and made me feel welcome. This year they twice made me feel unsafe and unwelcome. When I went in for my fitting for my wedding the employee who measured me yelled at me for not having yet fully adjusted my suit and manhandled me to an extent that it left me feeling shaken and another employee apologized to me for the experience even though I stayed quiet and tried to be pleasant throughout as I thought the fitting employee might harm my suit if I asked for an apology. When I went to pick up my suit the store was closed except for pick ups. Long story short: the manager yelled at me for trying to report what had happened earlier after I had my suit in hand. The manager answered the door before I could call to the number on the sign and brought me in. He asked my name, I gave it to him and spelled it, and he went back. He claimed the suit was missing, and I respelled my name. He brought the suit out, I tried it on and asked for a bag from another employee who was unengaged as the manager had wandered away. The manager re-intervened and told me I should really put it on a solid hanger to preserve the suits shoulders. At that point I realized that I had brought the suit in on a solid hanger which I told him, just not wanting to seem slovenly. I was not asking for a solid hanger or anything (I had others at home) but he insisted no such thing had happened repeatedly. I then tried to report what had happened during the fitting. He kept on asking me what are you saying and after a few cycles I tried to disengage saying you clearly dont understand what Im saying to which he yelled No, I dont think YOU understand what YOURE saying. I muttered that apparently at this point I would have to talk to corporate, after which he grabbed his card jammed it in my hand and barked You go ahead and call corporate! Theres my name!I have never been made to feel quite so unsafe over so little before.
Couldnt be more disappointed. Went in there just now and recieved attitude from the begining. Told the sales person I was in for pants and he seemed upset that he had to measure me. Once he shown me the pants I needed he took off and tht was that. He disappeared and no more assistance. I asked to try the pants on so I could have them altered and he never came back to check. I then took them off, changed and waited. Not one check back. I left and no one said good bye or have a nice day. I never have an issue spending money because I use to have the best service. I even purchased my wedding tux from this place. Not anymore would I recommend. I asked where the old manager was because he always have me the best treatment. Today I felt like I was judged like I didnt have money or couldnt afford anything. My father also will be sending his clients else where. Very disappointing. Never would I ever treat any one like this in my life.
There was a snafu with my reservation date being wrong, and my tux was sent back to the hub. The event was the next morning and there was no time to get it back. The store manager Justin was able to get all the correct pieces, fit and tailor on the spot, and ensure I was good to go for the wedding. Justin turned a disaster into a slight inconvenience, and was incredibly courteous. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Justin!
I ordered a custom suit (groomsman) post-pandemic in the height of all the shortages. The manager. Justin (Wolf Rd loc) was very professional and patient while considering options for the color and fit. He clearly went out of his way for me (and the rest of the wedding party) and it showed. The groomsmen all brought up the fact that he and his crew provided exceptional service. Class act.
Had scheduled an appointment today for 5pm, we were 15 mins late due to traffic. Now we got there and need just measurements for a rental fitting. The guy claimed they couldn’t do groups, and if we weren’t in the system they couldn’t help us, as well as it would take 45 minutes to an hour to do one person. Called Clifton park and they were more then willing to take us as a walk in. Didn’t go cause at that point everyone was so aggravated about being turned away. Some people had to take off from work, and drive out that way, to only basically get sent away with a highly rude attitude. Will be telling people to steer clear of this place, and to spend their money where the service is worth it. Will not recommend this place to anyone, and will not be going back.
I had a funeral to go to that was out of town and the suit I had didnt fit. When you are going to a funeral you have a lot going on and the last thing you want to have to worry about is your suit. Justin B took care of the suit stuff so I could focus on my family. The whole team there swung into action and worked with me to find a suit, fit me for it, and tailor it quickly so I could get going to the funeral. I cant overstate what a relief it was that they were willing to work with me that way. Ive been to helpful Mens Wearhouses in the past, but this location in Colonie in particular was great.
Only a four b/c they were packed, otherwise a five. Next time I wont go after 5:30pm! Justin nevertheless was outstanding! Soft, but sincere add- on suggestions that were in line with his quick and accurate assessment of my tastes, despite handling at least three other customers at the same time. If youre patient, this is the place. Ask for Justin.
Very disappointed. My fiancé and I was so excited for shopping for a suit for him. Once we entered the store we instantly felt like we wasn’t wanted. We didn’t get the service we thought we would’ve gotten. We felt rushed and we ultimately left. We will spend our hard earned somewhere else where they’ll be able to take their time and help us. I wished I would’ve read the reviews before coming here..as I see there was other customers complaining about customer service as well.
They get the job done but you pay for it. The every time we have gone there we have had an issue with dates being wrong, items not ordered right. Have had to make extra trips and even go to other branches to pick up parts of a tux. In the end everything worked out but we ended up having to pay for the mistakes as we had to travel extra, and pay for a date change when those were not our issues it was the stores. In the end things have always worked out but it seems to always be an adventure.
Tried to rent a tux with my son. The selection was limited to 5 or 6 tuxedos. We were rushed by a sales rep despite the fact that the store was empty. If we paused for even a second to consider options we were chastised. At one point he told my son, come on make a decision for yourself. The website showed rentals for $149 with a coupon. Our estimate came to $289. Serious bate and switch! We walked!
Groomsman goes in to get fitted for a suit months in advance. The day before the wedding he goes to pick up the suit, and they tell him, they registered him under the wrong wedding and he has no suit for his best friends wedding. This place is the absolute worst to screw something up so terribly.
Purchased 2 pairs of shoes online and both came in damaged. However after calling customer service they were quick to solve my problem and very accommodating to the inconvenience. They sent me to the Clifton Park location to have the issue resolved and that was the worst experience I ever had in any retail store. I decided to take my problem to the Albany store where immediately the manager Monir addressed my issue and corrected it in the best way possible. He’s a people person and was extremely easy to work with. Not only did I make a return but I left the store with a few outfits. I recommend anyone searching to upgrade their wardrobe to stop by Men’s Warehouse Albany NY and go see Monir.
The staff members in this store went above and beyond with their customer service. They were kind, personable, and made my fitting experience enjoyable. From the gentleman who fitted me for my rental, to the gentleman who helped me with my suit jacket purchase, to the gentleman cashier, and even the gentleman in the sharp suit who joked with me about the Patriots, I can’t say enough. You should all be proud of your service. Thank you.
My future SIL ordered a custom suit right before Covid closed everything down. Since then, we have been calling daily trying to find out how he and the BM could get their suits in time for the 6/20 wedding. I spent one hour and 18 minutes waiting for someone on the line yesterday and she assured me someone would reach out asap to make shipping arrangements. Have not heard from anyone yet so now I’m waiting again on the phone so far 36 minutes. This is the worst customer service I have aver encountered. Wish we never did business with them :(
The staff were extremely helpful and assisted me when I bought my suit here. The only thing holding back a higher rating is that the tailoring of the suit took way too long in my opinion. When I went to pick up the suit one pant leg was about and inch shorter than the other. They were quick to fix it although and got it fixed in about 15 minutes.
I have been in this location a couple of times. Most of the time was during busy seasons so we get a mix of helpful and pushy/rude. I dont think they understand that $600 average for a suit is not a normal purchase for most people there so we dont like to be pressured or cast aside when we have to think about the purchase. If you find someone helpful they will take the time to make sure youre satisfied and spending your time and money wisely. If you get a salesperson thats rude and pushy they just tell you what THEY want, they dont care what you want. They just have a way to make you feel unwelcome and like youre wasting their time, even if youre making a purchase. The other thing I didnt like was how long it took to get your suit tailored. For example, when you purchase a suit on May 1, the sign says they will be tailored by May 16. Then when you call and check on May 25th the salesman scoffs at you, says theres NO way its done, and doesnt want to even go check on it. If youre really that busy, hire more staff. If youre really that rude, dont be the person that works directly with customers. You have to lie about the date that you need it by because they literally dont work on it until the day before. When I was in the store this most recent time men were screaming about their suits being tailored incorrectly. Ours was OK though. They do very well with catering to groomsmen that are all over the US. The wedding we were attending was in CA, but they were able to get the exact tux for us in NY. They measured us in NY and let us drop off in CA after the wedding. They were confused with payment so the bride paid in CA then they made us pay in NY. Then it was refunded later. That was dumb on their part. For the most part we try to avoid this location but mostly just because of the staff. We know suits will be expensive and we know to lie about the day we need the suit but we cant do anything about the salesmen that are angry and too busy to look at you.
I went to get fitted for a suit for a friends wedding, they had me in and out of the store in 20 minutes. The reason isn’t because they were well prepared, it was because they were more interested in helping the person after me and rushed me out. I rarely write reviews but the service was so bad I feel like I need to say something. I can almost guarantee my suit won’t fit when I pick it up, then I bet they will make me pay a readjustment fee for their own mistakes. I am getting married next summer and will not even consider going there with my business.
Great service, good pricing and they have suits for tall thin athletic men. Ask for Alex hes wonderful and professional and understands fit and value. He makes suit shopping easy and even had two suits waiting for a relative coming in for a wedding and 3 days later he picked up the suit with the alterations. They keep your sizing on record.
Great customer service, and exceptional communication between stores, this branch worked with a store in Philly to get the right pants and vest ordered and tailored on a deadline for a wedding. They were able to tailor it for a womans body and gave me tips on where to get a shirt when their mens shirts wouldnt do. It was a great experience!
Friendly staff, but my husband went to buy a long sleeve dress shirt and the gentlemen that helped us didnt measure the chest or waist on my husband and the shirt was gigantic on him! Thankfully we were able to return it, but he needed that shirt for a funeral, so he had to settle for a not very funeral appropriate shirt.
Just needed to rent a tux for my sister’s wedding. Felt very rushed for the fitting. I complained that the shoes were tight (13), the rep said he’d bump it to a 14. I thought about it overnight and called the next day to say that those were too big and that I’d deal with the tightness. This rep said that I could get 13 Wide, something that was never mentioned the night before. When I pick the tux up the shoes are the wrong color!!! Thankfully the rest of the groomsmen were there too otherwise they wouldn’t have believed me. They tell me that the correct shoes will be here when they open the morning of the event. I show up and THEY’RE NOT HERE, and they won’t be for another hour!!! BS, worst customer service ever.
Superb service! I am not sure what store the negative reviewers visited, so I too am surprised by their negative reviews which they lead me to believe they are suspect or fake reviews - which is why I am posting this review. I shopped at the Mens Wearhouse store in Colonie, NY and the service was excellent. I was helped by their salesperson Damien and his attention to detail, personalized service and style knowledge was outstanding. I purchased four suits (with their buy one get one deal) and a tux to update my wardrobe. I also picked up several of their shirts and ties. The quality of the clothing and fitting is great. As a service note: I needed the alterations on my tux sooner than their scheduled alteration date for an event and they made the adjustment for my delivery time without any issue. This place knows how to do customer service. The store is well manicured with a wide selection so I was able to get exactly what I wanted in one visit because they were well stocked.
Aweful customer service, me and my 2 sons who are 19 & 22, came in for dress shirts for them on a Friday for a Saturday wedding. As soon as we walk in the door a sales rep rushed up to the to measure their arms and neck didn’t even greet us first. Then he rushes them over to the shirts and hands them random ones from their size. My son asked for a black dress shirt and he hands him a white one. This was when I had to step in and tell him he asked for a black shirt, that’s white. So we shopped on our own after that because he wasn’t listening to what we wanted just shoveled the first shirt he could find at them. We get home and when they tried the shirts on they were to small and they couldn’t wear them. Not having enough time to get other ones they had to wear dress T-shirt’s to the wedding instead because of this guy. When I returned them, he was rude to me about it saying the shirts are only measured around the neck and arm length and the shirt they needed had to be custom made! In my opinion they took no time to find the shirts they needed and sold us the first shirt they could find without taking the time to find out what they needed. Worst customer service, I would recommend going to another store where they take the time without rushing you to find the right dress shirt in the correct size.
Be careful of this place. While the selection isnt bad, and a buy one, get one promotion makes some of their overly expensive suits sell for a decent price, there are members of the staff here that waver between being overly pushy and untrustworthy. I went in for a suit for wedding and got a full used car salesman routine that spanned from not giving me much time on my own to consider what I liked and disliked to calling over the tailor to alter a suit I hadnt even agreed to purchase yet. At times I was also given a suit jacket to try on that was clearly too small and tight, but was assured that it was looking perfect despite the obvious. In the end, I had to be a bit forceful in order to stop the barrage of sure things the salesman was throwing at me. It was a pretty uncomfortable retail experience.
Dropped by the store yesterday afternoon on the way to an interview because I had no clue how to tie a tie. The gentleman there (Shebari?) was most excellent and helped me out no problem! What great customer service! Really wowed by it!Also rented a tux for a wedding from here about 2 weeks ago and everything was timely and perfect!
I had a horrible experience . My son who is 6 was fitted and we went to pick up the suit the pants were like shorts on him. The sales rep said the next size up were pants that couldve fit a 12 year old. They didnt know what they were doing. Then finally the manager said they will have a tailor fix the hem (which looked like I could have done a better job) I spent over 200$ on his suit and was told everything such as the cuff links and vest all came included and realized after I paid everything was an extra charge.
Worst experience they did measurements on my husband and the day we had to pick up our tux we were running around doing last min wedding stuff and arrived a little late for pickup and he couldnt try it on so he took it home trusting thier measurements so because we had to decorate the day before wedding and rehersal after and then rehersal dinner so anyways my husband on wedding day put it on it was so big on him he didnt feel comfortable and didnt want to show up ro the wedding looking like that he still had to wear it even if he was upset so I contacted them to let them know the situation and they said that the tux fit was big and that anyways they couldnt do much because the rental was free.. its not the point that it was free its that on your wedding day you want to feel great on what your wearing because its your special day a day where you have memories happy memories not the way my husband felt sad humiliated I told the guy I had photos and he said email me them to see what they can do so I did and its been almost 2 weeks and no answer back....worstWorst he felt huge in this suitWorst they ruined our day a day that meant so much for us both.....
The service there is incredible! I stopped in today for a funeral and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and treated like family. The staff there went out of their way to alter my pants and suit very quickly for me because I am due to leave shortly after my stop there. The staff is very courteous and professional. I could not ask for a better place to purchase formal wear. Thank you staff at Mens Warehouse! Also as a side note for all the negative reviews you see. Only these negative reviews for the thousands of people that have shopped there is not bad at all. Its a shame more people that have a good time there do not come on to post.
There is one undisputable fact. Given a lack of resistance, pants fall down. For me the solution is to cinch my belt to the tourniquet notch and stand still. If I walk then I need to keep tugging them up. If I bend over all hell breaks loose. An upcoming black tie charity event was going to require that I wear a tuxedo so off to where? Men’s Warehouse! Once there, I can assure you that very early in the conversation I asked, “Do they come with suspenders?” With a confirmation that in fact they do, the size 14 wide shoe seemed to raise concerns but the salesman came out with a pair that fit very nicely. We left the showroom relived that it worked out and relieved of over two hundred dollars. As per instructions I went to try on the suit days later, and if everything fit as it should I would head out the door. The attendant handed me the shirt, pants and shoes and into the dressing room I went. I was shocked to see a gaping tear in the shirt but not distressed. It is simply an oversight on someone’s part and easily remedied with a replacement shirt. I put it on to make sure of the fit and followed with pants and shoes. I joked with them when I came out. The fellow in charge was himself a bit of a character, and professing some shock he did play along and they got another shirt. Next, on with the jacket and as requested an examination in a mirrored booth where I followed a few simple requests so the attendant could judge the fit. “Where do you usually where you pants? You should try to keep them closer to your belly button.” “ Well that’s why I asked about suspenders when I rented the suit.” He examined the paperwork and said the groom didn’t specify suspenders. The in charge guy said, “No. He is renting himself, for an occasion.” “Look.” I said. “I specifically asked for suspenders and was told they all come with suspenders.” “I will check in the back.” And off he went only to return moments later to say that they had no suspenders. “Are you kidding me?” and repeated that I specifically asked for suspenders in the tone that alerts other clients things are not going swimmingly at yonder end of the counter. Guy in charge directs the attendant to look again and after a trip to the back room he returns with suspenders. Guy in charge comes over to calm me down and to offer, “We usually charge for suspenders but I throw them in for free.” In short, I eventually left with everything I should have left with but also with a few nagging questions: Why do you say they come with suspenders when you don’t have any suspenders? Why when you didn’t have any suspenders, you suddenly find suspenders? Did that loose ceiling panel in the backroom give out under the weight of the mysterious disappearing suspenders and rain down suspender salvation? Why did you falsely try to appease me by telling me you usually charge for them and then generously offer them for free? So many questions unanswered at: Men’s Warehouse.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Update: The response below was immediate and I did as they suggested and called. Spoke with two of the most charming women who were both friendly and professional. The matter was resolved to my complete satisfaction in the form of a partial refund. My guess is that stores are independently operated. It is too bad that this retail outlet doesnt strive to conduct themselves at the level that corporate does.
Ordered two tailored suits from there two months ago, the suits arrived six weeks later, both didnt fit with a wrong fabric... someone there tried to fix the problem for me and ordered a different suits for me, one came in a week later and another one a week after. They didnt fit right and they told me theyll fix it for me, however they fixed one and another one the pants were too short so they have to fix that one and now Im stuck with a marks on my pants that I dont like and they didnt even try to fix it for me. My recommendations are dont waste your money or time going there to buy anything from them.
I have a wedding party coming up and was told to go to a men’s warehouse to get measured for a tux, then fax the measurements to the tailor the party was using.Wasn’t sure how that was going to go but I went into this store and I explained the situation. The guy said no problem, measures me up in about three minutes handed me the slip and said I was all set. Super fast and friendly, really appreciated their help.
The clothing options are pretty good, but everytime Ive been in the salesmen hover and get quite pushy. As a Mens Wearhouse reward member I sometimes get coupons but on two occasions there has been no manager around to approve the deal, which was quite annoying. Frankly, with the large number of custom tailors downtown with good prices I cant think of a single reason to ever come back here.
By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would really give them a zero star if I could. I went there today (2/4/2018) afternoon with a few printed pictures of the type of suits and tuxedos I like, hoping to buy a suit/tuxedo for my upcoming wedding. When I showed them the pictures, the associates just said they dont carry gray or navy blue tuxedos and they did not even try to show me anything that could be close to my pictures. They did not ask about my interests or anything. When I asked if they have anything similar to my pictures, one of the associates just pointed his hand to a mannequin and walked away. I was going to buy my suit and have my 4 groomsmen rent, but with this sort of attitude, Mens Wearhouse in Albany aint getting my business this time or anytime in the future.
I wrote a review a few months back about my experience working and shopping at Mens Wearhouse and now Ive come into more problems. I sent this email to the email they said to send it to if I wanted to address any situation with them and I have yet to get a response after sending it to pretty much every email for Mens Wearhouse I could find because I simply want this problem resolved... Hopefully you guys respond on here. My email said Hello, I saw that you responded to my google review regarding the Colonie, NY location located on Wolf Rd. I just recieved a letter from Attorney Michael Ira Asen basically saying Im going to be brought to court if I dont pay the $165.81 balance that my PMDA had when I quit Mens Wearhouse. I just want to point out that that PMDA balance was for a three piece suit in which the vest never came. Also, Monir who is one of the store managers at that location wrote AJ Muscle Head in for what I wanted the name (AJ Groesbeck) to be where it says Custom Made For and I clearly just said put AJ Groesbeck, because thats my name... But he thought it was funny so he decided to put what he wanted in my $1,000 suit. Honestly I would like a full refund on the suit because it never fit me right even after a lot of tailoring because he didnt measure me at all (just like the previous custom suit I bought and didnt fit because he didnt measure) and because I never got the vest along with the name not being what I told him to put in. But if you wont give me a full refund please just dismiss the $165.81 left on my PMDA when I quit. Also, I got a letter awhile ago saying I was fired for missing 2 or 3 consecutive days without notice but I have text messages that prove I said I quit with Justin the store manager. Thank you for listening to my situation and if you could please do your best to straighten this thing out Id really really appreciate it. -Thank you
This is the first time Ive ever taken the time to leave a negative customer review, if that gives you an idea of how bad the customer service is. Mediocre/bad service is pretty standard at this location, but this was exceptional. I went to the Colonie location to exchange a shirt that I had received from an online order. I received the shirt with a hole in it, and I figured it would be no big deal to do an exchange. Wow, was I wrong. I was first given a hard time for ordering online rather than buying in the store. Then the customer service rep began trying to tell me that the damage must have occurred in the mailing process (USPS), and told me I would have to make a claim with the postal service. However, there was absolutely way to know. I myself have no idea whether the damage occurred on the Mens Warehouse or USPS side, and theres no way they could know either. I just wanted to exchange the shirt, not open an investigation. The rep continued to be rude and argued with me over where the damaged occurred. The rep kept insisting that something I said led him to believe that USPS had damaged the shirt, which wasnt the case. I simply said the plastic package had a small hole in it when I received it. Who knows where the packing was damaged or if that damage was relevant to the damage of the shirt. The rep finally did the exchange...but not before reminding me numerous times that something I supposedly said that made him believe USPS was responsible for damaging the shirt. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a customer service situation. As I was leaving, this guy even had the audacity to tell me to make sure I responded with a good survey if I receive one. I will never step foot in this Mens Warehouse location again....I was a customer at the Corpus Christi, TX location for years when I lived in that area and the customer service was always exceptional. The service I received there developed me into being a regular customer of Mens Warehouse. Colonie could learn something from that location.
I am happy to see so many low marks on customer service for this lousy store, though amazed that after so long it still hasnt changed a bit. I went in to buy a suit for a wedding about TEN YEARS AGO and I got more or less exactly the same treatment people are describing here. I was told that Id have to go with a jacket that was too tight because alterations could never be done in time for my event (which was maybe a week away), and that comfort was not something I should be concerned with anyway because you dont buy a suit to be comfortable, you buy it to look good. And though I was maybe all of 15 pounds overweight at the time, I was also given the message that I was too heavy to expect any suit to fit well without alterations.Needless to say, I walked out and never came back.
If I could leave less than one star I would. To the point where the associate Monir was yelling across the store at me as I tried to leave. I opened telling him I had gotten my last suit from them and I really liked it so I came back!!! I was excited to get a new suit that day as well! He hands me the first suit $700 suit and I told him I wasnt looking in that price range. Automatically I could see the care leave his eye. He then just handed me things and didnt care at all about the sale. Fed up with his rude behavior I took the suit off and said I wasnt interested. Without looking at me he snatches the jacket and said Fine. At this point I just started laughing at the situation. I started walking towards the door and he yells across the store Whats so funny? I replied Youre a horrendous salesman and didnt care at all. He reponds with Well you were wasting my time anyway. I said back Ill never buy asuit from somebody who only cares about getting the highest sale possible. I told you I was there to buy a suit. Would have loved to have bought one, but instead went right down the road to your competitor. Monir has just ruined the entire company for me. I will never be back again and I highly recommend you avoid using him in your future suit shopping. He was extremely rude and dismissive.
Until a week before the wedding I would have rated them as excellent. Week of the wedding things took a very bad turn. After bringing them almost 3000 worth of business, I will never use them for anything again.1.) They did not press the 6 shirts that were supposed to be pressed. I did not pick them up so the problem didnt get recognized until they were all the way back home and we didnt have any way to get them back.We had to scramble and find a dry cleaner to press them. I called the salesmen I worked with when the mistake was discovered, he said he would check to see if he could drive out and pick them up, then I never received a call back from him.2.) Two of the shirts (the grooms and the best man) were too tight around the neck. They spent the entire wedding yanking at the collars because they were being choked. Not sure if Mensware house mis-measured the sizes or sent the wrong shirts.3.) Unbeknownst to me, when my stepson went for his fitting, he also tried on shoes that were supposed to be part of the order. These never got included and I was unaware, so hours before the ceremony someone had to find an old pair of shoes for him to wear.4.) When I called the store manager to complain, he was rude and completely unhelpful. I called corporate and filed a complaint about the store.I will never use them for anything again - I had originally wanted to go to a department store, but I thought I may get better service at menswarehouse. I was completely wrong, they were terrible.
Cousins wedding - needed to rent a tux.Little background here, I had been in a friends wedding the year before and they had all of the groomsmen purchase their tuxedos because the rental price was not much less so they figured everyone should purchase one (not mens warehouse)So I own a standard black tuxedo..Back to cousins wedding...Cousin surprisingly has... you guessed it - a standard black tuxedo. I just purchased a home and was looking to save where I could and avoid renting a tuxedo that looks damn close to the one I had purchased already.I go in and bring my tux to compare and the guy there was so completely rude it blew my mind. I simply asked to see samples of what my cousin picked out to compare - if the shirts are the same why the hell would I rent it??? as goes for every other piece of the tux...The lapels werent perfect. Mine were pointed at the top, the new one was rounded. Honest to God... nobody would EVER notice. The guy at Mens Warehouse starts giving me attitude, sir, these tuxedos are not even close they are completely different. Oh really? In the world of tuxedos, you may be right to some extent... maybe... but ever hear of customer service? or the customer is always right? If I wanted to purchase a flipping blue and pink tuxedo and show up at my cousins wedding in that instead of what he chose - then damnit that isnt your call nor your place to give me attitude. If I want to screw up my cousins wedding, what entitles you to step in and throw me attitude??Absolutely insulted by this person and from the looks of other reviews, they have a track record of pompous rude employees.Do NOT recommend nor will ever do business with this company.
I worked at the Men’s Warehouse on Wolf Rd in colonie and ordered a custom suit as an employee there... it came out wayyy to big, then they tailored it and made it a little better but still was too big. Then I order a $1000 custom suit hoping this one would actually fit me and that one was just as bad, AND it was a 3 piece suit and my vest never came! Overall it was terrible to work there, and terrible to shop there.
I used Mens Wearhouse for my wedding after having a decent experience with them for a friends wedding. They have a very limited selection of tuxedos, so youll likely be wearing something that a high schooler wore to their prom. They only had 2 options in Grey. A light and a dark. My friend had rented dark tuxes for his wedding, so I opted to go light.Picking up was a bit of a zoo. It was a Friday in May, during a very busy prom season. The jacket and shirt fit fine, but the pants were way too long. It took 4 attempts to get a hem correct, and I had to request to have the pants pressed back out. The light color of the fabric made it nearly impossible to hide the large hem they had started with, so I had to push the issue for them to cut the pant legs and make a 1 hem instead of the 6 hem they tried to get me to leave with.
Few of the people here actually know what they are doing. Its really hit or miss depending on what youre looking for. Prices are comparable and their inventory is nice. Just dont expect a nice tailored like fit (again depending on who helps you out). Luckily it seems like they know this so most rentals are delivered in enough time to try it on and reorder anything thats doesnt fit well.
Went to Colonie, NY store on Wolf Rd this past Saturday 6.2.2018 at about 1230 to buy a suit for my daughters wedding. I approached two different sales people and both looked right through me to two young couples that entered the store after myself. I looked around a bit and NO ONE asked if I needed help. Not having bought a suit in several years I had asked a couple colleagues where they go, one said this store, the other said Macys, guess where I bought my suit. Mens Warehouse will not get my business, ever!
Unfortunately, I have endured the horrendous customer service this location provides twice this year. I have been a groomsman in two weddings and the list of issues we have encountered at this location is too long to type out. From completely wrong sizes, missing items, unable to find information on the wedding parties and multiple rude staff members, it is a wonder this place is in business. It must be because of the lack of competition.I am getting married this upcoming year and I will not be doing anything at this location, regardless of any inconvenience a different location may cause. If any of my other friends are looking for advice or places to use for their wedding parties, I will actively speak against this location and go into detail with my horror stories.Save yourself the headache, read all of the other REAL reviews.
I am a big fan of mens wearhouse in Albany and Clifton Park. These guys always take great care of me and help me out keeping my wardrobe together.Today for example I had a lunchtime catastrophe that required a wardrobe change. These guys hemmed and pressed a pair of pants and pressed a shirt and had me out the door in 20 minutes!
Came in to return a pair of shoes that I purchased in the wrong color.Even though I had worn them once or twice (the bottoms were pretty beat up) they still exchanged them for the correct color at no charge. Staff very helpful. A little intimidating as you walk in because they congregate at the front door (comission hungry I think)
Renting a tux for my brothers wedding and the service here is terrible. Terribly uninterested staff, completely awkward situations all the way around, and an oh my god is it expensive for horribly fitting clothes! Seriously just buy a nice suit and get it tailored. Please dont waste your time here.
Unprofessional, I recently went in to rent tuxedos for my wedding and the lack of professionalism was absurd I have never had such a bad retail experience none the less regarding my wedding plans. I would not recommend them for anything. I went to another local tuxedo shop in the area and had the experience I was expecting for the same price and a better tuxedo.
I brought my son to mens wearhouse to get his tux for his prom. The date they had my son come to pick up his tux it was not ready. So we had to come on the day of his prom and wait2 hours becose It still wasnt ready. I wrote an email to the company but no one has gotten back to me this was back in June and it is now August. I still havent heard a thing from anyone.
POOR PRICES, SERVICE and SELECTION! Even the simple purchase of a tie was unpleasant...I stopped in to match a tie to a shirt I already owned and was assisted by first a man (who kept greeting and helping new customers) and then by a shabily dressed woman who suggested that I did not know how to dress!?!? I did find one on my own that was twice as expensive as any high end mens store...without the insults! The worst 10 minutes of 2011.
I wish I had looked at these reviews before actually giving this business my money. DO NOT SHOP HERE. THIS STORE IS A DISASTER. The tux I rented came with: the wrong tie, a vest missing a button, and pants that were FILTHY. When I went in to try to get the problem fixed, THEY made it seem like MY fault. Absolute joke. Not only a terrible product, but worse service. I called the Mens Warehouse at the Poughkeepsie Galleria and they helped me out within 2 minutes getting me exactly what I need...even if you have to drive an extra hour to get to Poughkeepsie, ITS WORTH IT!!!! Just go anywhere other than Albany Mens Warehouse, for your own sake.
Horrible Customer Service!!!! I have never been anywhere were the staff were so rude! The secound you walk in the door the miserable sale lady said Let me guess Prom... *Sigh* follow Me saying ti all miserable, then she drops the book on the table and says pick one out, I told her I was interested in buying a tuxedo not renting one, and they wouldnt let me try any on, excuse me If im going to buy a $400 tuxedo I would like to try it on first. The place also REAKED to high heavens like sweat and BO, just a disgusting place.

2022-05-06We came here to rent tuxedos for a wedding. The employee didnt measure anything correctly. My pants were two inches too short, my brothers pants were an inch too long, and my fathers jacket was two sizes too big.We asked to have everything fixed and ended up with more issues. My pants were hemmed to two inches too long and the correct suit jacket for my father was not ready until an hour before the wedding. On top of that, the pricing is ridiculous. We should have just bought the tuxedos.Avoid the stress of working Mens Warehouse. This was a nightmare. And before you (Mens Warehouse) say anything along the lines of We apologize for the inconvenience or Were sorry this happened, consider the fact that you shouldnt apologize for something when youll just do it again.

2022-06-19What an awful experience. We understood that things won’t fit perfectly when renting a tuxedo for our wedding, but we had so many groomsmen who lived out of state that we really thought Men’s Wearhouse was the best option. There were issues with every single tuxedo/shirt/vest, but that’s honestly not even what was the most frustrating. My husband’s father passed away in the winter, so he obviously no longer needed to be fitted for his tuxedo. I called to let them know to please remove him from the list. They never removed him from the list. My husband continued to receive reminder emails to make sure his father came into the store to get fitted. I received a call to make sure he came in and let them know for the second time he needed to be removed immediately. This is completely unacceptable and should have been fixed the first time I was in contact with the store. It’s hard enough losing your father six months before your wedding, this experience just made things worse during an already difficult time.

2022-04-28Helpful, staff, though they were very busy when I was there on a mid-late April Thursday afternoon around 4:30. Adjustments to my rental tuxedo were relatively quick once I found someone that could help me. The person who assisted me was very gracious and helpful.

2022-04-09Prices are great and a good selection, even for bigger customers. However what made me write a review today was Maggie! She was an amazing help with coming up with a wedding look for my husband and even remembered us from our first visit. We are so happy we went there and cant wait to get married in June. Thank you Maggie !!!!

2022-06-07Terrible customer service. I went today to pick up my suit. It was ready but for the staff I was like invisible for 15 minutes as I stood I ground of the checkout counter and staff go past me several times. I stopped one staff members just to confirm if he was one of the staff and his prompt response was what else would I do here (I asked out of politeness as did not want to offend another customer because there was no identification of a staff member on this person) another guy asked my name at least three times so that he can go and get my order and came back again to ask my name. Finally my suit did come after 20 minutes and I was handed over the suit in a clear Drycleaners plastic bag. I enquired if they do not have any garment bags and they said they do not have any, though I saw at least one other person walk out with his suit in a garment bag. Now I have started to think that they do not want Indians to come to their stores or it was just a bad day. I asked to leave a f Ed back and I was told you can do that if you get an email from us. Though this person was courteous enough to come up to me to snub me.Was it a mistake to spend $500 on a suit at a place which discriminates against you, I don’t know but be careful when you go to WolfRoad location Of Men’s Wearhouse, I will never go back there. REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

2022-06-09Multiple salespeople in the store. Never acknowledged that I was in there or might need help. Stock is slim. Went to register to check out and while I was standing there, the cashier answered the phone and spent over 5 minutes helping the customer on the phone - and never acknowledged that I was still standing there.

2022-01-01The customer service from toes to collar was excellent. The entire team works as a team to make sure that all elements are totally flossing. I am thrilled with the attention to detail and the photos that resulted at a wedding- for which I was perfectly clad.

2021-11-02Safe to say I will never recommended Men’s Warehouse on Wolf Rd to anyone. We had a terrible experience from sub-par customer service to even worse suits. We had a huge wedding party - 12 suits - and none of them fit properly, and they cost almost $300 each. The groomsmen spent their time getting ready for the wedding having to trade pieces of their suits with each other and trying to make them look decent. Some pants were too short, some groomsmen couldn’t even lift their arms because their shirts were so tight, shoes didn’t fit, etc. When we called for assistance we were rudely hung up on, and when I called to complain about our experience, the manager, John, said he would “look into things and see how he can improve the situation”. Never heard back from him. They even sent some of the suits to New Jersey instead of New York. Don’t waste your time going here :)

2022-02-20Had a good experience at this store. The team was very knowledgeable and they had me in and out, though I did not feel rushed into making decisions in the least. I will be back to see them!
