I dont usually leave negative reviews, but Ive had several poor experiences at this Mens Warehouse. Two out of three times that I have gone in there, they took a long time to even acknowledge that I was there. Well over a minute of just standing there before even receiving a welcome or a We see you, well help you as soon as we can. It felt as if all of the employees were making an concerted effort to not make eye contact to avoid having to initiate helping me.After that they also took a very long time to help me. All I was trying to to was get fitted for or pay for clothes for an event I was in. I am not sure if this is an issue with management or with prioritizing how customers are handled, but it was not welcoming at all.People will be understanding of your are just honest and let them know that it will be a while. If it would work better for the business to schedule appointments instead of taking walk-ins, they should be transparent about that so that people dont show up expecting to be in and out quickly for a quick transaction and just end up standing by the register waiting to even be told that the store has acknowledged theyre there.Maybe it is just this one store, but based on this set of experiences I would definitely not use this chain for any kind of event outfitting and would not recommend it to others.
Such poor service for a professional establishment. My young nephews went to get fitted and needed to wait an hour. My nephews pants were way too tight but was assured they would fit perfect once they arrived. I called to check up on the order status/what to expect, about 1 month before wedding. I was assured both tuxes would be there on Thursday ( for a Saturday wedding), if not before. Thursday comes,1 tux there, 1 tux MIA. Supposed to be there Friday now. Friday was rehearsal dinner. Rehearsal dinner and wedding were both out of town. The ones tux was there and pants were extremely tight and no time to get replacement. I regret giving my business to this company and will never do it again. Not only were the tuxes unavailable when promised, they did not fit, and the staff was rude and unhelpful. 0/10 recommend.
My son of course waited until last minute to need something for prom. We took a trip to MsW and they took excellent care of us! I was embarrassed for being there so last minute, they did not blink an eye. It was clearly busy when we got there. The sales woman that was there alone was great at checking in with everyone and explaining that they had someone on lunch and she would be able to help as soon as she was able. We attempted to browse when the person that was on lunch showed up and was a HUGE help. Not only did he find us a suit, he got it hemmed and walked out with a nice affordable suit for prom and beyond! The name on the receipt said Chad. Not sure if that is who helped up but, if so Chad you were awesome.... thank you!
Our Grandson was fitted for a Tuxedo for his formal Winter Ball ...the woman who measured him was nice...but (nothing to try on in the store) so everything was ordered from pictures...my daughter and I visited the store the very day( in the afternoon) before his special day..and was told it hadnt come in yet..so, the day of the Winter Ball (today) I called to see when we could pick the tux up...we were told after much looking, the person who had ordered it from the store had put in the date of February 8th instead of January 8th.....not cool ...hence the 1star rating..we are very disappointed to say the least..the store manager was happy to refund the money...but as you know, that is no help really,when the event is less than...8 hrs away....I do not reccomend using Mens Warehouse
I have never had a bad experience in this store. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. When I come in, they greet me by name and are able to help me with whatever curveball I am dealing with this time. I am constantly bringing my son for dress clothes or a dress my wife is wearing that I have to match.Gordon, Christian, Mike, and Brad are all top notch, and I will only take my tailoring to Julian, even if I did not buy something there. He has worked miracles from a tailoring perspective. I cannot say enough good about this store.
Recently overheard manager, while I was in the fitting room, detailing to his colleagues how each time he buys something from this store, he gets to write a review. Even to the point of giving favorable reviews to his subordinates, thereby ensuring corporate HQ favor for him and his afore named colleagues. This is obviously a very cynical approach by management, so consumer, et al, beware! Oh and dont detail your shady dealings so loudly when customers are in the shop!!!
I cant tell you how panicked I was to learn that my son, who goes to Cornell, needed a tuxedo rental in a town without a lot of options. Knowing that I wouldnt be there to supervise became a non issue as Brad and the wonderful staff simplified the process. They took the time to look up my sons Prom tuxedo rental sizes and style choices, updated and measured him for this next rental. Brad especially was hands on, making sure that my son had the right fit and look that he needed for his formal. Brad took the time to ensure that the process ran smoothly for my son, and myself from afar. I would recommend this store 100% and I would give it 10 stars if I could. Brad, Thank You So Much! Ive had a bit of a mixed experience at this mens wearhouse. Recently I went in to buy a suit. I know nothing of suits. The sales associate who helped me was exceedingly friendly and knowledgeable. They took my measurements, showed me my options, did the fitting, everything one might expect. They even managed to rush the tailoring since I needed the suit rather quickly. Ive bought a few other items from them (dress shirts, ties, etc) and have been pleased with the quality (for the price). All of my in store interactions have been excellent.However, I did buy a pair of slacks from them, and they had to send away for the precise size I needed. These slacks were not there when I went to pick up the suit, though they said they would be. They then said they would get them in the next day, and ship them to me. That did not happen either. Now, about 3 weeks later, I had to call and follow up, and they claim they will be shipped out today.Overall, Im pleased with the store, and will go back there if need be. However, some caution may be needed if they dont have the item you want in stock.
Excellent experience! Came in from out of town for our sisters wedding and Amy husband was sent the wrong size tux pants from another local bridal store who was closed on Saturday. We called Men’s Warehouse and explained what was going on and they not only helped us find something similar to purchase, but all jumped in to help and their tailor hemmed the pants on the spot! Y’all were lifesavers for us today!!! Nothing but love to the staff! Thank You!!!
My experience was terrible, where do I start. We started working with mens warehouse in May 2018 to purchase pants and shirts for my daughters wedding July 21,2018. Its now 1 week till wedding and we only have 2 out of 7 orders. Went to see what was in on July 5 was told the lost order for one person had to reorder would do express shipping we would have by Friday didnt realize they meant the following Friday.to,d them to ship directly as they seem to loose anything that gets shipped to them had my husbands shipped to our house as well still have got them may not have them by wedding day and we still need to have them hemmed. Groom still doesnt have his was told on July 5 he could pick them up at 5:30 the alterations would be done he made the 45 minute trip to pick them up and order his brothers, they lost his measurement from a prior trip so he had to go back, they got there at 6 and they still werent done they told him to go grab bite to eat they would get done he went back hour later to find out sewing machine broke and his pants werent done, he still had not heard from them its been a week. I wished I had heard everyone elses horror stories about this store we would have never given them the time if day. I hope anyone reading this stays clear there are a lot of other places that treat you much better I wished my daughter would have taken my advise and gone to them. Also we called and requested to talk to manager he or she was off till Saturday they took my number and said he or she would call us back for us to voice our complaints no surprise havent received that call. We are not people that complain but after a series of mistakes like this you have to vent. Stay clear of this place.
Purchased a custom suit, many ties, shoes, blazer, and 8 dress shirts - and will continue to buy my dress clothes here. Staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Ronald even came in early to make sure I received my dress shirts I had left to get pressed before a flight. That is service.
We ordered a tux for my sons prom spend 200.00 order a bisque bow tie and handkerchief for pocket and got a black one for pocket my son told them button was loose they said don’t worry it won’t pop off sure did as soon as he buttoned the jacket and when I called they said well what would you like us to do really that is not the right answer. First the company should have taken 2 minutes and fixed the jacket button but didn’t and they should have been a little more customer friendly instead of saying what do you want us to do I will never shop there again last year I bought a suit for a 1000.00 dollars but they will never see a dime from me again
The employees were great..only if I could say the same thing for my tux.Last year I ordered a tux, and I thought everything would be great. Except when I went to pick it up I found a wine colored vest ,instead of a deeper shade of purple that appeared on the sample that I chose from when picking it out . With no time to order a new one I went to prom without a vest and wore the suspenders instead.This year for prom , with hope that last years mix up was a mistake , I ordered another tux,and yet again was disappointed. Instead of a teal vest, I was given a baby blue vest and tie . So it looks like Im not wearing a vest again to this years prom, and I have to find a tie that actually matches.My advice, go somewhere where the product actually meets expectations. When spending 200+ dollars you would think u would at least get what u asked for, and when they do make a mistake give them two days and more money and they will fix their mistake.Oh and even better, the tie I ordered was a bowtie ,and the one they sent me was a long tie. For a company thats focused on the details to make for a great experience, I have yet to have a great experience.If you want a really good tux look around for other options ,and probably avoid this place unless u want to waste money ,deal with constant problems, and go to your event looking like mismatched nitwits.
I went into this store with my cousin to pick out a tux for his sisters wedding and one of the salesmen told him he could go to Walmart Across the parking lot for his tux, simply because my cousin said the one he tried on was a little out of his price range. SO RUDE and very condescending. I would NOT recommend a place that sticks their nose in the air at PAYING customers as if theyre better than you.
3 of the groomsmen had wrong size tuxes (and it showed) and unfortunately there was no time to fix anything as it was the day of the wedding My father had the smallest size shoe and almost had to wear sneakers that day but luckily someone was able to run and get the right size.
Great customer service awesome talior service very pleased with the fitting the store provided I walked in expecting a here is what you need but they asked me every step how I liked it had full control over my style color and was very pleased with the price and convenience of how fast they had my special order suit ready and waiting thank you

2022-05-15For over 10 years we have been impressed with this store and management. My husband has purchased numerous suits and has always had attentive service. Recently we visited the store for my sons prom rental. The first visit was mediocre, we were able to get what we needed, but felt like we were just being moved through an assembly line. It didn’t seem as though we were valued customers and we weren’t able to see fabrics or samples. We had to go back a second time to switch the color on the vest and bow tie. We waited for 45 minutes. While we and two other people waited for over 45 minutes, three employees walked by us numerous times without acknowledging we existed— no eye contact, welcome, hello, I’ll be right there, by the way there is a sign… Literally no interaction. After being passed by several times and waiting for 45 minutes, I finally addressed one of the women who went to the front to speak with a colleague of hers. I was told that I should have signed up at the front of the store, but myself and others who are waiting didn’t realize this was the case, and it must be a brand new protocol. Myself and another gentleman who was waiting, both explained to a different associate that we’ve been at the store before and didn’t realize that there was any protocol. Rather than helping in any way, she basically gave us a blank stare and told us that there’s a sign in the front that directs us to sign in. By this point, there were probably about five groups of people waiting for help, none were on the sign-up sheet or had an appointment, but somehow no one could be helped. It would have been nice if any one of the employees could have greeted customers as they passed by (they were not currently with customers) or simply let customers know the proper procedure since they had plenty of time to do so every single time they passed by customers who were waiting. It was honestly one of the oddest experiences and was starkly different to how this store was managed a couple years ago. We understand that people are busy or perhaps overwhelmed, but there should be a basic common courtesy level of customer service. The sales associates at this store seem completely disinterested in customers and their job in general.

2022-04-08I try to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this experience was shockingly bad. Terrible customer service, even if you make an appointment in advance. We were supposed to be working with the manager, but instead got put with someone who acted like it was his first day, even though he stated hed been there for months. The manager could tell this employee was struggling, would briefly check in to give guidance, but then would leave and wed immediately be at a standstill again. Spent almost two hours there because they were so inefficient, and we left without purchasing. Decided we were better off starting from scratch elsewhere. Will never return and would not recommend to anyone. Dont waste your time.

2022-06-25Go anywhere else. A level of incompetence Ive never seen. It took 5 months for them to get my custom suit right after a reorder and countless trips to this store. After finally getting my suit tailored I still wasnt thrilled with it and went to Macys to look for a back up. The first suit I tried off the rack fit better.

2022-05-14Really horrible service here. Showed up and found clothes with no assistance from staff (which is fine, they were slightly busy and I can find my own stuff). Stood at the counter for 20 minutes with multiple employees walking passed me multiple times. I asked one of the employees if there was anyone available to ring me out. She looked at me and just walked away without saying a word. Sat there 5 more minutes and she never came back so I set my things on the counter and left. If mens warehouse has what you need, go to Vestal, NY. This store is not recommended.

2022-04-06We had an appointment at 2:30, everyone was busy, we asked for help a couple times and we were told they were all busy. We decided to start looking and fitting the guys ourselves,finally after an hour of us shopping and fitting everyone ourselves someone came over and said they would be with us in 5 mins. We told her we were done. We went to register to check out and waited there another half hour with noone to help us. We were all frustrated as we did have another appointment we needed to get to. I do not recommend to anyone, our experience was terrible. The service was horrible and when we finally were getting checked out the lady was horrible and didnt even speak to us. Never again will they get our business.

2022-06-12I would avoid using this store for any important suit rental. The suits came in extremely large and they were completely unwilling to help in anyway. The employee was extremely rude and inconsiderate. We opted to use a Men’s Warehouse in another state to avoid working with the employees at this location. Every other Men’s Wearhouse location we used was the complete opposite.

2022-04-24The guy measuring gave wrong size then said we don’t have your size go to jc pennies so we did and the size was off by ten inches completely ridiculous learn how to proper measure people. Also hope you dont work on commission because you missed out on a lot of money if so

2020-11-24Being a former formal wear sales associate. I was pretty underwhelmed with this place. The sales associate was as helpful as they could be but apparently there was an error from another location in Texas,, we had to figure out what they did wrong. The saying Italian quality made in America was on advertisement in the store yet we were told the suit would take so long because its coming from China. Was forced to use them for a wedding and would rather have went to Porta Bella in NYC.*edit so I picked up the suit and it was actually made in India not America or China.Added photos of the inside of the suit and the sign stated made in the USA for custom suits.

2021-10-21We eloped on very short notice and of course waited until the last minute to figure out his attire for the day. My (now) husband came in literally the day before our ceremony and the staff was incredibly helpful and fitted him for a suit that evening. They worked until they closed to alter and press it for him. The kindness they showed him deserves to be recognized. He looked very dapper and their help was so appreciated! Thanks again to the staff at Mens Wearhouse in Elmira, NY!
