Mens Wearhouse in other cities:
Not the best experience. We went in looking at suit and tux rentals but give the runaround with cost and pricing. The suits on display weren’t all available for rent. Of course the one I preferred was for sale only. Not sure why this was with the rentals.Everything in the store was strategically placed to be deceitful. There $99.99 prom promo poster that was next to the display of tuxes but of course wasn’t valid for any of the tuxes on display. For the amount of money they wanted go buy a real suit, found a great one over at Lord & Taylor
Great experience for the store here in Scarsdale. Robert was very helpful getting me pants for my suit that didn’t come with the rest of the rental (from another Men’s Warehouse) for an event happening same day. Very courteous and accommodating, going out of his way to help.
Absolute professionals and a great staff. Especially to Rich who was awesome helping me get one of their custom suits, took great care and patience with me. Also Michael who was kind enough to stay past close for me to pick the suit up, was able to try on the finished product and he put everything perfectly back in the garment bag. Again, a truly wonderful experience, highly recommended!
This is a great Men’s Warehouse! Exceptional service with super knowledgeable and helpful staff. I was fitted for a custom suit and the process was smooth as could. Tons of great options without any sales pressure to purchase one thing over another. They also took care of the rentals for my entire wedding party 1-2-3.Even if you’re not here for an event, the clothing they sell in store is fashionable and VERY wel priced. Couldn’t believe how affordable the designer name clothes were for both formal and casual wear. Will be shopping more often for just my regular clothes!
Horrible experience. Do not go here. I confirmed my fiances suit a week in advance to confirm suit was completed with alterations. The gentleman said suit was ready for pick up. 1 week later (exactly 1 week) before the wedding we came to pick up the suit and they cannot find it. How can you not find the suit? This was confirmed a week prior. Also, suit was purchased along with accessories in May and now we are in the end of June. I would advise not to come to this place. If I had a choice I would give them a zero rating.
Ive been here several times to buy clothing. Never really purchased anything here however I did purchase a suit from my son. The staff is very professional and the prices are moderate too expensive. Their selection is simple to elegant and a great place to dress yourself up for the office. They have suits, slacks, shirts, ties, shoes, accessories, hats, you name it! If youre on a budget I dont recommend it. If you can spend thousands youre going to do it quickly. This place had been around for a long time and I do recommend it. Quite frankly, it has a touch of class.
Max is amazing! He’s knowledgeable and has an impeccable sense of style. He makes great suggestions and is very open to all your ideas and needs. There was an excellent sale that day and though I’ve never spent this much money on myself for clothing, every dollar was well spent! I felt great afterwards and highly recommend this location.
I had a custom-made suit for my wedding ordered there. The first taylor pretty much botched it, we had to have it re-tailored a lot by another of their tailors, then it eventually came out really really nice. Also, and on top of all the salesman who took care of me from A to Z, Maximilian, is the man ! He is friendly, kind, helpful and extremely professional. Props to him !
Do not rent a tuxedo from this location. The two ladies working the desk were extremely rude! My husband was told that they measure you and the pick up date is the day before the wedding. When I questioned that and asked one of the ladies to repeat herself she did, slowly and sarcastically. I advised her she was rude and walked out of the store leaving my husband there. Personally if I was the one renting a tuxedo I would have walked out and rented from somewhere else!! We will never shop in this store again or any other mens warehouse. Ps. Your cloths are not that great and way overpriced
Great suits and men wear also outstanding customer service standards from the central Avenue store in yonkers Like it is always said if you sell the Mens wear you should be able to wear the product to show the customers. It would be truly nice if they had a free book or class to show the customers how to match colors choices. We all know that some folks match up of material isnt correct. These folks know and are point well dressed. I purchased 8 suits and accessories. Will be going back for a few spring and summer customized vests - linen.
I chose Mens Wearhouse for the free grooms tux when you rent 5 groomsmen tuxedos. I should have guessed you get what you pay for. Its great that you can arrange your choices at any Mens Wearhouse and then pick them up at any location. My groomsmen where in 4 states, so this was key for me. They were all fitted in their hometown and picked up their tuxes at this location. It took several phone calls and emails to correct the colors that where entered incorrectly after I first filled out forms. A few of my groomsmen called me from their fittings when they were unable to find our account at all. The last straw was the day we picked up my husbands tux. The staff was inattentive, impolite and rushed. They brought us a yellow shirt they claimed was ivory. The rest of my groomsmen had the ivory shirts which Id already seen and this was clearly YELLOW. They told me at first that in the entire location, they did not have a white button down shirt to replace the yellow. After some insistence that this was the groom and the wedding was in a few days, they miraculously found one. They then informed me that they had no Ivory or White pocket squares, even though I had ordered them months in advance. We had to purchase them at another store for all the groomsmen even though I already paid for them. They wouldnt give me a refund. They said I could come back after the wedding to pick them up if I wanted... Im happy this guy in the commercial guarantees that youll like the way you look. He should probably inform his staff.
Make sure you have nowhere to go for the day if you select this location. The customer service is absolutely awful. We have been passed around to different people during each visit. The same person cannot be bothered to assist you through your entire visit and you are constantly left waiting. We have been to this location three times already. Shomora makes you feel like a bother with any questions you may have. This location failed to update the tux rental choices correctly and could not find our reservation previously made with them. Shomora (who is also a manager) was unable to find the already left deposit for our reservation and could not assist in how to log in online. There is another location in White Plains that i would definitely recommend.Do not bother yourself with this location.
Sooo I had an awful experience today (I know you are wondering why you are looking at a 5 star rating?) I made a call to customer service because of my in store issue and things were immediately rectified. Upon returning to the store the personnel involved in the situation received me with a welcoming smile and even apologized for the inconvenience. Im not foolish enough to think people always will get it right. Yet, the expectation is that they always make it right! Good Job today customer service!
I bought two shirts for a wedding I was attending out of state. I was fitted for the shirts, so I didnt bother trying them on at the store (mistake). So much to my surprise, two plane flights later, I arrive for the wedding and discover the shirts are far too large for me. Angry, but without option, I wear the shirts. I fly back home and bring the shirts back to the store, and explain my situation to the manager. Without question or examination, he takes the shirts from me and re-fits me with two of my choosing. He also knocked $30 off the original price. While I certainly would have preferred to have received shirts that fit me the first time, I was very pleased with how Mens Wearhouse made amends for their error.
I received the worst service of my entire life at this location. When we arrived, nobody greeted us or asked us what we needed. We told them we were there to get our tux rentals for a wedding and we gave our last names. He walked away without any confirmation, smile, or acknowledgement. Once they got our tux rentals, they didnt communicate whether we should follow them to the fitting area or what. Once the items were hung, I walked in and the associate rudely told me to hold up with no explanation. Once I realized it was cause he was laying out the items for me, I waited so they could tell me when the fitting room was ready. A few minutes later he says so youve tried on your suit already?. Really?! No I havent, I was waiting on you after you told me to hold up!Once I try them on I realize that the shirt and pants are both too big. I am confused by this, as I had everything fitted at my neighborhood location in Atlanta, and it all fit VERY differently there. They give no explanation, no apology, no solution, and just start blaming it on the other store and trying as hard as they can to avoid any responsibility. Eventually they find medium shirts in the back, so I figure hey at least the shirts are ok, but I was stuck with baggy clown pants. Came to find out later on they only replaced 1 of the 2 shirts in the set, so the other one was useless.Anyway, Im already frustrated at this point, but I figure hey, lets just move on, whatever. Then then they tell me their machines are down so theyre cash only. They give me a corporate number that I can call to pay over the phone, but the woman on the line tells me the entire corporate CC system is down. However, she says every franchisee is trained on a perfectly acceptable way to take a CC without the machine. Ive had to do this for stores Ive worked for before. Its not that big of a deal.I put the lady on speakerphone and have her explain this directly to the store manager. This was by far the rudest manager of any store Ive ever met. He had no sympathy for our situation, completed ignored the woman from corporate, told me hes simply not taking the card that way and I have to get cash. I tell him ok fine, Ill go to the closest ATM, but if I have to pay an ATM fee and make the extra trip that I would like to get some sort of discount. He wont even look me in the eyes as he barks no discounts on rentals. I explain I can either get a discount, or never shop at any Mens Warehouse again, ever, and write this review and tell every single person I know what horrible service I received. He simply walks away.We end up having to drive miles down the road to the ATM and back. I come back with cash and ask how much I owe. They dont know. Apparently the amount I owe is handwritten in marker on the suit sleeve label. The worker calls over the other worker. Does this look like a 3 or a 5 to you?. Ridiculous. Finally they decide the total and I give them my cash. He proceeds to NOT COUNT THE MONEY ($235) and simply hands me change. The change he gives me makes no sense. I gave him a 235 on 231, so I shouldve only gotten a few 1s back, but he gave me a 10 and some 1s. He doesnt offer me a receipt. At this point Im completely baffled by this store. I tell him this is the worst service Ive ever received. This confuses him. This worker was present during the entire fiasco. How do you not recognize service this bad???Mens Warehouse clearly has the market monopolized for national tux rentals. $270 for a basic weekend tux rental is highway robbery. Similar to cable companies, this monopolization has left them fat and lazy. They dont care about you or me. Weddings will still happen, and they will still make money. I will never ever ever shop at a Mens Warehouse again, and neither will anyone I know if I can help it.
Save yourself from the headache and go anywhere else. They may at times act nice but they dont get anything done and its a constant series of lies and false promises. We have been back to the store 4 times for corrections to alterations. The first pair of pants we purchased were made with one leg larger than the other! How does that happen on a pair of expensive pants!?! Its been 4 months since our first purchase and we are still waiting to close out our purchase of 2 suits...the last was a promise to ship the pants to our home due to the hassle...
I was rushed through picking 2 suits. I was measured and then was told at counter one suit was over 1000. Then I said I would take just the the 1 suit that was 319.00. Then he added the adjustments and taxes and it came out to 590. Thats over 270 in taxes and adjustments. I walked out. I know a scam when I see one.
It blows my mind on how many times you can mess up on a order for a prom tux that was made over a month ago. My brother and his 10 friends ordered tuxs for prom and he was supposed to get his free after 5 referrals.2 days before the prom everyone started getting emails about the pickup. We never got an email so we decided to call... After being on hold for over 35 mins and being hung up on, we decided to go to the store. JESSICA was a complete two faced person. She was lovely when we came in to buy but when she realized that the shirt we ordered wasnt the one that came in she was just sitting in the back telling other people how to deal with us. They gave us a basic shirt that wasnt what we ordered and made us wait 45 mins to see what they could do when we asked for something to compensate for their lack of customer service skills JESSICA said well your tux is free, so we cant really give you anything. Cool, telling a kid that YOU messed up on a tux for a special event and then being a complete jerk about it.This is the 3rd year weve came into mens wear house for a prom tux and they MESS UP EVERY SINGLE TIME.I understand typing stuff into a computer is very challenging for alot of people especially JESSICA but at least try to help the customer out by compensating for something we like or close to what we ordered.Unfortunately this will be my last time stepping into a mens wear house. We ended up going to tates and BUYING a shirt that mens wear house was supposed to give us, we unfortunately had to pay $35 for a mess up that was done by the store.I would honestly completely recommend TATES, they were amazing. Much better prices and MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This review is concerning the tailoring service I received here. In May of 2013, I bought a charcoal two-button Egara suit from this retail location. The suit was of excellent quality and served me well, but by August of 2015, it was time for a refitting and tailoring. I had the suit pressed at the same location beforehand in advance (a free service offered for suits purchased from Mens Wearhouse), which I recommend doing prior to the tailoring appointment. After the suit was pressed, I asked for an appointment with the onsite tailor, who was very professional and courteous. I should also add that if seeking to have a suit re-tailored, do your homework on exactly what to ask for and how. GQ provides some excellent tips and terminology to use when requesting services from a tailor. For my suit adjustments, I had the jacket shoulders and waist narrowed so they fit more snugly and followed the natural contours of my upper body type (38R on the slim side). I also had the waist of the pants taken in and the hem of the pants brought up to no break--meaning they fell cleanly and rested just on the tops of my shoes. All told, the alterations cost $114. When it comes to tailoring, the most important things are finding a friendly and professional tailor and knowing exactly what alterations you want and how to ask for them. If you can achieve those two things, cost should not bother you--the end result will be well worth it. As such, the Scarsdale Mens Wearhouse tailor did not disappoint in the slightest. My suit garners compliments whenever I wear it, especially from my girlfriend. Remember, gentlemen--a well-tailored suit on a man is as good as lingerie on a woman. In conclusion, I give the Scarsdale Mens Wearhouse five out of five stars for excellent services rendered. As a final note, one perk of buying a suit from MW is not only the free pressing provided for suits purchased there, but also, after an alteration has been made to the suit and paid for once, that same alteration can be performed in the future for free as well. For the number of additional services provided by Mens Wearhouse, I would definitely recommend them as a prime suit-shopping destination.
Im non binary and needed a suit for an upcoming wedding, looked around a few places before i came here. Never did the suit thing so i was going in pretty blind but the staff here were patient, informative, and very polite. Being queer i was a little timid about how i might be treated during the process, especially at a place literally named mens warehouse, but at no point did i feel unwelcome here.Kasim was the name of the man who walked me thru the entire process and he went above and beyond to help out. Everything went smoother than expected and he had us out of there in about an hour or so for a full custom suit. He was even bouncing around to other customers in between without having us really wait at all; dude is definitely the elite of sales clerks. Will definitely be back for future needs.
Do NOT pay in cash. Make SURE to get a receipt from them. My brother deposited $200 in cash for his tux several months before the wedding. Today, we went to pick up the tuxedos and the manager said that there was only a $100 deposit put down. This is absolutely not true. I know for a fact that my brother paid $200 in cash, because as it happens, I gave my brother that money before we walked into the store. I also stood in front of the manager with my brother and watched him count out the $200 on a table one bill at a time. It is apparently a very big mistake to do cash transactions with Mens Warehouse. There were no physical receipts given to either one of us. We were told that because the transaction was being entered on a tablet, the receipt would be emailed to us. After an exhaustive search of both of our email accounts, my brother and I realize that neither one of us ever received any email from Mens Wearhouse at any time.Upon reflecting on our original visit to the store, my brother and I both remember that $200 in cash was given to the manager who personally took the cash. We also both recall that he put the cash into his front pocket, which we now both recall thinking, at that time, was very strange. Make no mistake, I am calling this an outright theft. This is a horrible way to treat customers who are obviously already absorbing the expense of a wedding. After confronting the manager directly about the situation, he very quickly (too quickly) produced an envelope with receipts, presumably for the day we had first come into the store. He cited that if it was a mistake, the drawer would be $100 over for that day. According to the manager, examining the receipts for that day, it was not the case. I very reluctantly paid the balance today for my brothers tuxedo which was $125.65 so that we could have it for our younger brothers wedding. I told the manager that I wanted to speak to his Regional Manager about this. He wrote down the name on a business card with a phone #. I called this number to speak to the Regional Manager but of course, it was the wrong phone number. This is one of the worst customer experiences that I have ever had anywhere and frankly, it is an obvious scam.
I went to pick up my order and younger sales associate was helpful. Older sales associates were cranky and in bad mood. One old sales associate was being really rude to another customer that was in line ahead of me. I’m lucky I did not have to deal with that angry associate
Someone real close to me passed away I wasnt thinking straight at the moment I purchased I suit that I needed for the funeral. I paid over $750.00 and they offered a free suit which I didnt care for.I came back 3 days after when I realized they sold me $150.00 suit for $750.00 I went to return the supposed free suit and told them how dishonest they were they didnt care to listen.the assistant Manager Jack Strawbridge was the one who took care of me. I warn you to watch out google the suit they sell u or you just might get ripped off like I did
This place is the worst ever no stars is what Id like to rate them I went there to rent a tuxedo I got measured n was assured everything would be ready on the date they gave me to pick up..Ok I go in to pick up the tuxedo the material is worn out there excuse was its a rental?? You go rent a car they give you a nice up to date car clean reliable and up to date.. not a hunk of junk just because you rent.. Anyway the manager is a sneaky person no respect they want you to take a rental in worst condition then handy down clothes and there excuse is your renting??? So they couldnt come up with better looking material so he goes to the back with a promise to find me something more up to date n not torn and worn out he calls police on me the entire time I was polite n just wanted something better quality like they showed me when they measured me the first time.. police come I ask for a refund.. luckily I still had time to shop around for a tuxedo somewhere else before my wedding date... never go there n dont trust them plus for the price they ask to rent you can go buy or customize your own and keep it forever and it will be new material no one has ever worn... this place has rude people working there if u dont take what they want u to take they treat you very bad!!!
Mens wearhouse is all about making you look good at a price you can afford I have been there several times for fittings and always received my proper tuxedo Staff is very friendly and willing to help you find exactly what you need! The mens wearhouse on central Avenue in Scarsdale is awesome!
Horrible customer service and very unreliable when it come to scheduling pick up! They didnt have my things when it was supposed to be in the store on that date and gave me a new pick up date for two days later after I waited an hour for them to let me know my stuff was sent to the wrong store!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

2022-05-20A good selection of suits and dress attire. Not much of a shoe selection but it works what they sell. Different types of suits from casual to formal to tuxedos. They have tailors on site. The staff is very helpful. They do have a small selection of casual wear. They also have ties and cuffs links.

2022-06-11Had an amazing experience picking out my wedding tux. Justin helped me and was extremely knowledgeable. I was unsure about all of the different options and Justin shared his advice. I walked out feeling excited and confident about what we chose for my groomsmen and I. Highly recommend

2022-05-12Very unwelcoming experience. Asked to purchase a tuxedo suit. kept getting asked “if I wanted to rent or buy” after I made it clear many of times. Selection is terrible, they only had about 2 tuxedos only in black and the worker seemed like he didn’t want to be bothered and it was just overall terrible. Don’t want to pull the race card but compared to coop city’s menswear, I actually felt like a customer there and was able to find a suit. I never leave reviews but this stores custom service was unbelievable.

2022-07-08I really used to enjoy going to this place, maybe the evening staff is a little more customer focused then the day time staff because all of my less favorable incidents occurred early afternoon.Today was the worst, they usually seem like they are too busy for me during the afternoon but today they was actually busy. The problem resides with the fact that I circled the suit section twice without even an acknowledgment that I in the area. Horrible customer service. I didnt expect anyone to stop with their customers but acknowledge Im ther and at least let me know I have a chance of being helped. On the bright side I was able to see some suit ideas and I will still order on-line and go to the local tailor for assistance in a good fit. Not going to give a sale to people who is not pressed about whether I stay or go.

2022-05-09I think this place is extremely over priced. I walked around in the store for at least 15 minutes before getting approached by anyone to help and when I was finally helped the employee went and grabbed me one jacket that he said was 450.00 but the jacket was only 299.99 and then he ran and grabbed a pair of pants that was 150.00 to make up the diff so he could still have the 450.00 sale.i would never go there again nor will I ever recommend anyone there..

2022-04-10Such bad service i asked 3 times for help but the tuxedo dept. and said yes but kept helping others that came after me. Maybe cause im not Caucasian thats how i felt.
