Seems 3 orders of taco for $37 is price gouging. Tacos are fairly tasty with the sauce, but didnt seem any special. Maybe Im not good at judging Mexican food.
Hidden Gem of Peekskill. They deliver which is great. The guac is made fresh and delicious. My fav sandwich is the Steak Torta!! Prices are more than reasonable, I’m crazy for saying this but they are under charging compared to similar establishments around westchester. I’m not complaining AT ALL just an observation :)
I was a little disappointed because I called and asked how many tacos were included in an order, and I was told 3. When I received the order, it included 1 taco, with 2 other empty tortillas. There wasn’t enough in the first taco to fill the other tortillas. The guacamole was pretty good, the only thing is that it had too many onions, which took up most of the guac container. The garlic shrimp was pretty good as well and I have no complaints for that part of my order.
The best Mexican food in the Hudson Valley. The tostados are phenomenal (esp. with pork) and even the simpler things like their rice and beans have wonderful flavor. The grocery has a great selection of dried peppers as well to take home for your own cooking.
Nice place...a little piece of Mexico right here in the heart Peekskill. when we are in the mood for some authentic Mexican food this is our place to go.Staff is very polite and the food is great!! highly recommended👍
I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and will keep coming back for the rest of my life. Best Mexican food with the most kind and friendly family. Amazing consistent authentic tacos, tortas, quesadillas, enchiladas you name it, it’s made to perfection.
Mercado holds a special place in my heart. The tacos al pastor rival some LA tacos I’ve had! And the soup is not to be missed. Homemade, delicious, and fresh food. Staff is always lovely too. Don’t miss!

I will say the food is amazing! VERY TASTY BUT I went there on OCT 7. The woman behind the counter made my plate bake chicken,bean and asked me if I wanted some salad. I replied “Yes” and she took her bare hands n put the salad on my plate. VERY UNSANITARY N WITH THE COVID 19 being around makes it worse!! I had to ask her to put on gloves n make me another plate. She did .. I went back there today 10/8/20 and she DID IT AGAIN SMDH. Great food but the ppl don’t wear gloves and use their bare hands to touch and make your food. BEWARE.. if u get something to eat there.. it’s a shame I have to say to a worker to wear gloves while picking up a salad/food.. DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS.. I hope the owner reads this and address the issue b4 the department of Health gets involved..
I have had missing items before in the past - mainly drinks. I was willing to over look this issue because the food is awesome, however today I received a slice of cheesecake in my delivery order that had mold growing on top. Im drawing the line. Please inspect your food before eating. And Mercado Azteca & Deli, please inspect your food better. This is unacceptable.

Best soft tacos I’ve ever had
Never again! Normally always had a good experience. But today takes the cake. Place a pick up order over the phone. Told me 20-25 min . Went to pick up the food 30 min later . A couple of people and I were waiting at the cashier wanted to pay or pick up our food. Not just me but also others were ignored. Wait staff had no sense of urgency untill I yelled out Hello and they finally attended all of us. After that I was told that my food hasnt even started to cook. So I had to wait an additional 20 min . I told them to cancel and just left. This was a really bad experience. Never again will I go back. They were not apologetic or even cared about my order.
Sorry folks, unfortunately the Mexican food selection is limited in the peekskill area. This is not good food. Its easy to say its good if you have never had real Mexican cuisine. This is deli quality at its best. Everything I ordered tasted greasy and everything tasted the same. My family and I are here like what a waste, while we are eating it, no one is enjoying it. The portions on the half chicken should be 4 pieces, got 3. I got a scoop of rice and 2 spoonfuls of beans for $11!?? Have ya not seen what a Chinese take out combination looks like for less than 10$.. chicken was old and dry! I rather travel into the city to get better quality food and portion sizes to match the pricing.. now some positive, the guacamole is on point, pico is fresh. Aside from that. Thats it... by the way i ordered over 10 items off the menu...
A local favorite and must every time I travel to Peekskill. A varied menu, wonderful people who work there, and most importantly delicious food! Ive never had a bad meal. One of my absolute favorite items on the menu is the Tostada de Bistec. It is perfection every single time. Dont miss out on this local gem! They deliver too, so if youre local they are pretty fast with the delivery and Ive never had a problem with any of my orders!
One of the hidden gems of Peekskill; offering authentic and awesome, tacos (try the el pastor, the lengue, burritos (burrito supremo is best), and their famous Azteca Platters, as well as really lovely burgers, dense and tasty, made with care, and whip quick with the delivery. They also make great breakfast sandwiches as well. The Chicken Tinga Quesadilla is also great, but even better than the food are the people.

A hole-in-the-wall is an apt description.But head in, line up at the deli counter and place your order. Once you sample the food, you wont care about how it looks or where its located. This is some of the best Mexican food you can get in Peekskill.To be honest, Mercado Azteca won us over with their tacos, and their tacos are what keep us coming back.More specifically, the tacos arabe have become our go to order. The tacos arabe are more like mini-burritos than a traditional taco, flavorful pork seasoned with arab spices and lemon, then wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. Three come in an order, and youll wish there were more. These things are addictive.You cant go wrong with any of the tacos, but the menu is expansive and its worth branching out. We also love the avocado salad, the al pastor burrito, the 1/2 chicken meal, and weve heard great things about the tortas (although havent tried them ourselves, blame the tacos arabe).Breakfast at Mercado is also a super affordable surprise. Mercado is also one of Peekskills select non-pizza or Chinese restaurants that does delivery. You can find them on the delivery platforms like Seamless or you can order directly from their website. Theyre definitely our top choice for delivery nights.Bottom line: Mercado Azteca offers some of the best Mexican food in Peekskill. Its cheap, fast, delicious, and they deliver. This place has the best Mexican food around. Its a hole in the wall. Its really a deli. dont let it fool you. It has a great menu of authentic Mexican dishes and I have never ordered anything I didnt like from the place.
I was the only one there and yet they didnt even start preparing my food until 10 minutes after I ordered. Normally I wouldnt be that peeved about that but one of the workers was also using the industrial vacuum which made a very loud annoying noise. Food tasted mediocre.

Amazing food, for lunch my husband had a sopa de mondongo and it was delicious!!! For dinner we had tacos and it was to die for. I love the salsa roja and verde. And the Churros was the perfect finish
Excellent. I had the carnitas and the tongue tacos ( don’t hate. Try them. They’re absolutely amazing). They reminded me of being back home in Dallas. Which I haven’t been back in years. I can’t wait to try the rest of they’re menu.
I was totally unsatisfied with my order...I got it delivered.. for 1 the person didnt say a word handed me my food and left not even a hello not a word...second the food looked like it was just thrown in a box all mixed together with alot of creme sauce I ordered the Aztecs platter which is like an American diner sampler...but it was not good I couldnt evwn make out what the food was the rice and beans no flavor. Never ordering again. I basically threw out 20$in the trash I THREW THE FOOD OUT HOW BAD IT WAS

2022-04-18I thought I knew what I ordered when I selected the items on Uber Eats. I thought Cubana cemita meant Cuban sandwich! Lol. Although I was wrong, it was the best mistake ever. Ever had a sandwich so good, it made you wanna slap your mama? That’s pretty much the Cubana cemita. It’s HUGE and so delicious. I’m not even sure what was in it. The flautas were a bit dry and too crunchy but still very delicious. Will definitely order again!

2022-05-16They called to tell me they charge for guacamole so we figured to make sure the whole order was right. Well it wasn’t. They didn’t have most of the order right. We questioned it. They said it was already on the way so we asked if we could come in to exchange it. They hung up on us and automatically cancelled the order.

2019-08-19Very good little deli that specializes in Mexican food. Very good authentic food and awesome selection of drinks. Service is good, and staff are friendly. They are also a small convenient store full of traditional Mexican items and foods. There are seating arrangements but they can feel a bit tight, and the TV and be a little loud, roughing up tour dinning experience, if you plan to eat there. I suggest take out! Decent tacos, good quesadillas, excellent cemitas and tortas (Mexican sandwiches). I have visited this place a few times in the past 10 years, and food is consistently good.

2019-10-27I enjoyed this place I have been looking for tripa tacos they also have alpastor tongue and others I ordered the tongue and the tripa and have to say they where very very authentic they also have a variety of other things that look good we also order enchiladas en salsa verde they where good as well .also they do have 2 small aisle that have Mexican candy seasoning and other small things I would recommend this if your around the area

2021-01-13One of the great Mexican restaurants here in Peekskill decent food and delicious. Delivery was on time. Although my burrito was not grilled on the tortilla it was still good. The guacamole was alright a little bit too much extra toppings. Overall a world recommend on the restaurant certainly give it a shot.
