Doesnt appear to have Ever been cleaned,especially since Covid. 70 degrees outside, easy 85 degrees inside.Bucket in middle of mens room floor to catch water dripping from ceiling. First waitress in big hurry to go home, 2nd waitress much better. She double as the bartender, bus boy,and cook for all we know.Food,yup they got it,salad-4 pieces of lettuce, slice of tomato, slice of cucumber, whole chopped up black olive-filling?Nope.Had coffee, that was mistake, my bad.Alfredo tasted like dishwasher-wife.Baked zito,no taste even with whole shaker of cheese.Not our first time here,was here about 4 years ago- now I remember way its been so long.Make the trip to Kays Burden Lake instead.
This place used to be amazing went yesterday evening for dinner and was extremely disappointed! I ordered mozzarella wedges they were cold and still solid and for dinner I ordered stuff shells and the inside of the shells were cold as if they werent cooked I didnt even get a Chance to say I didnt want it the waitress took my food and the kitchen slapped a piece of cheese on it and ran it threw the oven and it was still not good....
My wife and I eat here regularly. Its one of our favorite local places. The food is always outstanding. The service can be inconsistent at times but the great majority of the time its excellent. Solid bar selection. The dining room is comfortable and has enjoyable ambience. Family-friendly but not geared towards children particularly. Clean place, including the bathrooms. The pizza is very reasonably priced; the entrees are moderately priced but well worth every penny.
Great place for family dining or a group of friends! Italian food done well at reasonable prices. And the fried calamari with marinara is excellent.
Boneless chicken wings were raw. the dinner salad consist of one slice of cucumber a hard tomato and lettuce and one of the salads had the lettuce core in it.chicken parm was a paper thin peace of chicken soaked in watery sauce.
I never go out of my way to review restaurants, but this one had my husband and I talking. Waitress was very nice and friendly but the pizza......Was horrible. We got peppers and onions as toppings, and they were completely raw. I figured they would not be completely cooked but this was bad. Not sure why people are reviewing this relatively well- but please believe me when I say do not eat here.
I have given this restaurant multiple chances. But I will speak to our visit tonight. Waited a long, long time for service to start. Waitress was very pleasant in all defense. Waited a long time for drinks that came out 5 minutes apart (a beer and a martini). Ordered a soup and salad to start, soup came again 5 minutes before the salad. Our entrees arrived (common theme is nothing comes at the same time) and while my husbands was correct when I finally got mine it was wrong. I was told the kitchen made the wrong dish, waitress apologized and told me the correct dish would be out in 8 min. 20 minutes later, my husband is done with dinner and mine just comes out. The wait was not worth the product. After waiting a while we got the waitress and asked for a box and the bill. We look at the bill and were surprised to see we were charged for everything on it (did not comp my wrong and very over due bland entree or even 1 drink) and on the bill is the wrong dish that that waitress had said then kitchen made wrong (according to the bill she had ordered it wrong). We paid and left, possibly for the last time.Overall: LONG waits for service, food mediocre at best (stay away from the meatballs, they taste spoiled/off), no meals come at the same time. In a positive the waitresses are always very friendly.Very disappointed but hoping they can do better
September 2021. Arrogant bartender who was quite nice a year ago was apparently alone ...spit me the last of the keg..less than half a beer and told me that was all she could do because she had no kitchen help. I walked out without touching it. Fast forward to tonight where I online order $60 worth of food. Again short staffed.. she had the BALLS to say she paid for that beer. And had an attitude when I tried to pay for itGreat place..NOT
Ive eaten here before, and the pizza is pretty good, but - very unhappy tonight. Right as you go in on the door the hours are listed, and Saturday you should be open until 11pm. As this is mainly a restaurant, not a bar, I can understand closing the kitchen down 30 minutes to 45 minutes before the restaurant closes. BUT- when I get there at 850pm Im told that youve already closed the kitchen? That is far too early. So i guess Ill be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Food was good and service was attentive. I had the chicken marsala over penne. Chicken was great, however my pasta was overcooked. My biggest problem was that it wasnt free refills, and since I had seltzer water and was the designated driver this was a huge problem to me. Definitely a policy I would revisit if I were management.
Had a bridal shower for approximately 30 people. The food was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The price was fair. My only complaint is the lighting was dim. Definitely would recommend.
Many great improvements since I was last there, and the menu has a full range of meals now! Very well prepared foods, fresh ingredients, something for everyone! Easy access, full bar on otherside of the dining room, cant wait to go back!

The waitress was nice, we got there early, was looking forward to some good food, but the best things I ate was the salad, warm bread and butter, and the steamed broccoli from my entree. I ordered chicken franchise, it looked ok, but when I took a bite, I was like is that even chicken?? It was pounded sooo flat that there was more coating than chicken!! Chinese food chicken isbetter than this!! All in all...we came, we saw, never again!!!
I do not recommend this place. They are extremely shady about their pricing. The menus online & the ones they hand out apparently have the wrong prices on them & when you call an order in, they dont mention that at all. If you know you are working on outdated menu prices, wouldnt you think you should make sure your customers are aware of that? And they arent small price differences. The item I ordered said $13.50 online & I was charged $19. Thats a big difference & when I called I was basically told oh well.. and they took 0 responsibility. Thats just shady business practices, and the food isnt bad, but its nothing special & not worth the hassle.
I wish I could give no stars! I am so disappointed in the food I received! The wings I ordered were suppose to be medium they had absolutely no sauce on them what so ever, they were so dried out we could hardly eat them, I asked for extra blue cheese that Im sure I was charged for and got one small one! Oh and lets forget the whole 8 cut pizza and 10 wings cost me 31.00.Coming from a person that has been in the restaurant business for 18 years I am not impressed and do not recommend this establishment!
Great sauces and cheese pasta dishes! Wow... really serves the italian taste. I am originally from Rome, NY and was fortunate to have numerous dinners with actual Italian ladies and men that were born in Italy. Great friends. I had baked ravioli last night and l have to say if blind folded l would not be able to tell Rome Italian from Mercatos Italian. Go for it.
I have been here about 6 times and have not been disappointed! Service by Sandy H is fan fav!. Also all the servers I have had are nice and efficient! Food is fantastic! Priced well. Too name another server who is Morgan fantastic. Cannot wait to return.
The perfect lunch after a long day of traveling. Pizza was so good with a perfect crunch to the crust. The mannicoti was perfect proportions of cheese and sauce. Thank you for a great meal and service.

Tortellini ala Panna was fabulous, my favorite dish at Mercatos. My husbands Fettuccini Carbonara was excellent, & my Mom enjoyed her Eggplant Parmagiana thoroughly.
Always very good. However this time around the toppings were extremely sparse. Got three toppings, but the majority of the pizza was plain. Otherwise, everything was good.
The hours posted here are wrong. They are exceptional and open Saturdays. Wait staff is awesome. Negative reviews are posted by people who will never be happy with anything. Jenna and Morgan were consiment professionals and were promt with their service.Update 02NOV17-still the best pizza in the area-wait staff still awesome.

Overpriced. No free refills. One plate of Fettuccine Alfredo was $ 20.00. Too much for what it is. Its just regular Itallian food that comes in on a Sysco truck.I should have gone to Samsons.
I must say that I have always heard good things about Mercatos and me and my family went there and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the waitress Sandy was wonderful. I am definitely going back for another wonderful Italian dinner!!!
Nothing like good old fashioned service with a smile. That is the normal routine for all customers who come to Mercatos II. As a 1-2 times a week visitor I have never had a bad meal. They treat myself like family.
The worst Alfredo I’ve ever had. It was overcooked pasta, 2% milk and rubber chicken. Truly gross. I’d like to show them how it’s done.
The exquisite food is bested only by the excellent and caring service one receives with every visit. I love coming here.

First visit. Great service . Had the Chicken Pesto Pizza without the chicken. Outstanding crust. One of the best Pizzas we have ever had. We will be back.

I just took my girlfriends daughter to get pizza at mercatos in schodack. Jenna , who gave me her name after asking for it upon departure, was obviously not in the vocation of her choosing. Wanted us to order upon greeting, which was fine, but never came back to ask if we needed another beverage to go with our spicy pizza. I flagged her down to get the drinks, she dropped them at the table and hurried away. no discussion or comment. No Offer at the check delivery for anything else, my girlfriends daughter wanted desert. So I left an obligatory 11% , dissapointed with the service to say the least. Our neighboring table got a formal greeting, offer for appetizers, and immediate smiles.....wtfs up with that? I stop there at least once a month, used to.
Food is great! Staff is awesome.. friendly, knowledgeable. And omg affordable!! Environment is nice.. good family place . Yes there is even a bar.

I thought it was overpriced. Paid $13 for spaghetti and meatballs that tasted the same as if I made it myself. I didnt care for the atmosphere either. I wouldnt go back.

2022-05-01Ordered to go:The boneless wings we got were burnt, ended up just throwing out. The antipasto salad wasn’t too impressive (watch how pizza places make salads on family guy, pretty much too the detail minus peppers) pizza was alright, but nothing to worth mentioning or make it worth it.I’m assuming that maybe I went there on an off day (maybe they were busy) but to be honest there was like 4 people at the bar and two tables with customers in both seating areas. Only reason I noticed how few was I was walking around trying to find a staff member. May give it another shot, but most likely not.

2022-06-02This was a bad place to dine because I watched as my husband was disrespected by our so called waitress Nikki a few times. She brought him the most disgusting orange soda that him or I have ever tasted. It tasted like someone dropped a stale mint into tap water.When she returned to the table, I complained to her. I explained what was wrong with his drink. My husband spoke up and requested a root beer instead. After she said okay and walked away, I watched her say something to a different waitress who started laughing. I was so upset by all of this. I absolutely could not believe we were paying customers and she was going to expect a tip on top of it.So we waited for over 20 minutes, and no root beer. I watched her walk over to the soda fountain area plenty of times during this. She came back empty handed with a check and said to him Oh… Do you still want that root beer? I forgot sorry. Not only did she smell horrible, but this Nikki is the worst waitress I have ever encountered and we can thank the restaurant for hiring something as unprofessional as her.

2022-05-23My wife ordered a large cheese pizza and a order of wings the wings eating them was like plastic they are hard and very crispy like bone dry and they did not even cut our pizza we had to cut our pizza with a butcher knife when we got home first time ordering food from there and it will be the last time!!

2021-11-05This was my first visit and not sure Ill return. Service was incredibly slow, dont know why. It took over 5 minutes to check on whether or not there was a table for one available. By then I asked to be seated at the bar. It then took another 8 minutes to be acknowledged. It took another 10 minutes after getting a glass of wine for the bartender to take my food order. After waiting that long just to place my order I placed an order to go.I got my order 25 minutes later. After all that, food was just OK.

2021-11-05I do a lot of reviews and I am as honest as possible. This place needs serious help. I had the Chicken parmigiana. Never in my life have I been served a thinner piece of chicken. I mean paper towels are thicker. It tasted good but for the price, no way. Ridiculous! As far as the service, sub standard. Started off okay and deteriorated fast. Soon as the waitress had more than one table to deal with, she turned into a ghost really fast. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else.

2019-02-18I wasnt really a huge fan of the overall experience. As friendly as the waitresses was, she really wasnt in a hurry for anything. The pizza was decent but the sauce could have been a little less runny. I feel with a little updating the place has potential.
