There is one instructor, george, who no one likes. not only this, but he brags about how no one likes him and how he makes kids cry. not only he is a bad instructor who believes you should know everything after he says it once, but he is also an unlikable person. he likes sharing his conservative religious beliefs during every driving lesson, and often asks intrusive questions because he was never exposed to any form of diversity in his life. he is scared of phones because of 5g radioactivity or whatever else facebook moms like to post about. the only reason why he isnt fired is because the driving school likes how committed he is to the minimum wage job, even though it is evident he is bad at it
I highly recommend taking lessons from this school. My instructor, Don, was extremely friendly and helpful. Whenever I made a mistake, he would explain extensively what went wrong and how to fix it.
I was a pleasure doing my driving lessons with Mercedes driving school great instructor, Andreas is the best I gives in a 5 stars , I did only two lessons with him and he guides me all the way so I can understand 🙏👍👍
DON’T TAKE A CLASS WITH GEORGE “the owner”Today I had a terrible experience with George as my 4th class. From the first minute he was so rude and unprofessional. He made me unsecured and stressed driving because he was screaming all the time. After 5 minutes of class, I had to stop and let him know that the way of his teaching was unrespectful. Then he drove me back home fight by himself while driving. I felt bad because he told me that he’s the owner so nothing will change. Better don’t take class with him. There are other amazing instructors except George. He’s the worst.
I haven’t been here in over a year because this place traumatized me and driving in general. I had a lesson with George and it was the absolute worst and it took me everything to not get out of the car mid lesson and walk home. He was rude, loud (yelled at me if I made any kind of mistake), put the radio on so I couldn’t concentrate, and unnecessarily sarcastic. It was only my second driving lesson ever yet he expected me to know everything and towards the end seeing how upset I was, he still tried to convince me to buy more lessons even though I expressed my discomfort and financial issues at the time. He made my anxiety go through the roof when I was already nervous as is. I cried when I got home because of the experience and haven’t had a driving lesson since or been back to this place even though I still have my driving test scheduled there. It made me reconsider taking anymore driving lessons in general it was so terrible. It took me so long to write this review because I didn’t want to be mean but I think it’s important I share my experience to warn other people against this guy and company. He claims he’s done this for so and so years, well maybe it’s time he retired if he doesn’t have the consideration and patience that new people on the road need to succeed.
Extremally professional front desk staff & instructors. Great communication with the student drivers, and very patient with scheduling as they are always packed especially during the fall. Passed my road test today. Bouris is a great instructor when he was teaching me he said I am teaching you just like I would do for my own kids. That was very sweet of him. Definitely recommend going to Mercedes Driving School.
My 16 year old son just passed his road test today at Whitestone. We signed him up for 20 lessons, 3 days after he received his permit. This auto school really helped prepare him for the road test. His instructor was Gustav, who was just wonderful. Everyone at Mercedes was always totally supportive and professional. I highly recommend this driving school!
Brought the 10 lessons pack and got my 5 hour class included as well for a decent price! Completed all my lessons with different teachers and passed my road test today with a great score! Really nice people, great company, and amazing teachers! Highly recommend:)
Mercedes Driving School helped me pass my road test on my first attempt. The instructors are knowledgeable, very clear and always on time during my scheduled lessons. After driving with Mercedes I was over prepared for my exam and I would highly recommend their service to any new or inexperienced drivers. Also, their staff was always very nice over the phone.
Very professional from start to finish. Instructor was great. My daughter received reminders before every lesson and the instructor was punctual every time. Was an excellent experience and she passed her road test on the first try. Would highly recommend.
Mercedes driving school is the best! they taught me everything I needed to know to pass the road test. The instructors are very nice and prepare you very well for the test. The receptionist are very nice as well. If you want to pass your road test, i strongly recommend coming here! :)

Mercedes driving school is the best they thought me everything I needed to know to pass the road test and with no complications I passed at my first time. I would recommend this school for any inexperienced drivers who is looking for a school to learn and to pass their test. Not leaving out their members of staff, they have such wonderful people working there.
I passed my road test my first try!!! The driving instructors taught me everything I needed to know for the test. My main instructor Mike was very punctual in picking me up for my lessons. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. HIGHLY recommend going to this school for driving lessons.

I bought a 10 lesson package and then passed the road test(11min) first try! I started as a nooby and then finished to become a good driver. My instructor George is incredible! He gives great observation, tips, and critique. Esspecially teaching how to parallel park and make corrections easily if needed. I thought I would struggle but I mastered it! I did the 5-hour course remotely through zoom, easy peasy. Be sure to hold onto a few lessons to schedule before your road test date (available after 5-hour course) to freshen up and cover on some weaknesses. The office does a great job as well. Making appointments over the phone is very quick and you get text message reminders a day or 2 before the lesson.
Just took my driving test today and passed! I didn’t think I can drive but I bought a 10 lesson package and worked with George and I’m so happy I did! He’s an amazing instructor that makes learning fun, and gives you awesome tips and tricks to help which saved me on the exam!
Educate yourself and read the restrictions of the DMV site if you live in Queens. If your child is under 18 they cannot legally drive in NY city unless they have a senior drivers license. This requires an MV-285 which is not offered by Mercedes Driving school. My child went through the 5 hour course and 10 driving instructions w/ Mercedes Driving school. The driving instructions were ok. We drove with my son a lot in Long Island to help him practice. He passed the test on the 2nd try. Now he cannot drive in Queens until he turns 18…..or he enrolls in a different type of class for another 500$.Mercedes Driving school tells the student they will get a Junior driving license. They don’t tell the parent who is paying the bill. Please read up on the requirements and understand the NY State laws before paying any money.
I am a new student here and they treat me very nicely. Theres always someone to greet me and answer any of my question. Ive taken 3 of my driving lessons so far, one with teddy and two with George, and theyre both great instructors who take their time and make sure youre actually learning instead of rushing through the steps, Id recommend them to any body looking to learn how to drive or take their road test.
Got my license and passed the road test FIRST Try! Bought the package had 10 lessons. George is the BEST instructor. Definitely would recommend you ask for him. ❤️ If you see this George God bless.
George was a terrible instructor. He was very bad at explaining things and even cut my lessons short a few times. There driving lesson packages are also too expensive for what they are. Go to a different driving school not worth it

Professional and worked with me since unfortunately my daughter misunderstood something didnt have the right paperwork with her and ends up having to reschedule and pay again.....very frustrating but they did their best to work with usSo advice confirm before you get into the car that you have all the proper documents before you go for your drivers test
All of the instructors are very good people and really care about teaching you everything you need to know. My instructor made sure that I was going to pass the test and gave me all of the tools I needed to do so.
Very nice people very good service very smooth. there is such a thing as no bad students just bad teachers and these instructors did an amazing job at teaching me how to drive. You will get your license coming to this school.

I bought the lesson package. They switched instructors half way through the lessons. On the day of the road test a new instructor picked me up 40 minutes late with a car ive never driven. Then the instructor insisted on not allowing me to drive the car momentarily before my exam. Once i failed (first time taking the exam) the instructor was telling me how the 2 other instructors taught me badly and that i should buy another lesson package with them as my instructor.
Be careful!! Dont risk yourself or a loved one by using Mercedes Driving School, they have a crazy instructor named George, that teaches his students to drive erratically and to run from an incident, after hitting my car he instructed his student to flee the scene of incident and refused to pull over. Had to call the NYPD. Also the office manager Elizabeth is aware of the situation and is handling it very professionally. I felt terrible for the student driver and can only imagine how terrified he felt and hoping his parents or guardians also take legal action.
This place is a joke. I took my 5 hr course here, I am actually taking it right now. 4 and a half hours in, the instructor has not even come into the room. He put on a DVD and handed the remote to one of the students and told her to switch chapters on the DVD when it ended. Its not just one disc though and This poor girl has had to get up and change the disc 3 times already. The instructor has not offered us a break to even stretch our legs or go buy some water. The room where the class is held has two exposed pipes coming out of the wall and there is a disgusting sewer smell that has been leaking out all morning. I am extremely frustrated that I am still here, 4 hours and 37 minutes into this thing, having learned NOTHING, and being forced to stay for the entire 5 hour duration without even a single 5 minute break to smoke or stretch. This place is a dump and a scam, there is no instructor and no reason to show up here at all. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Passed the test on the first try. Had the ten lesson package. Request George he’s great. He answered all my questions and explained everything better than any other instructor.
Highly unprofessional people. Stay away from them. I spent $645 but received poor customer service dint even get a chance to take a lesson and decided i womt go back to them because i am sure they will teach me badly and will make sure i fail and buy more lesson. The boss said something else and the spanish guy at the receipton told me different thing. He is extremely rude!!!
Had a hard time parallel parking. They taught me how to do it in 30 minutes. I am very pleased and appreciate the patience they had with me. Great place to learn how to drive

2022-04-12I highly recommend Mercedes driving school for they have taught me well on all my lessons using a step-by-step process. I started out without any experience of driving and I am very much happy to say that after taking 10 lessons today I did my road test and passed. The teachers are very friendly and staff are well organized and professional. They are the best!!!!

2022-04-01I highly recommend Mercedes Driving School for your driving lesson needs! The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The instructors teach you all you need to know using a step-by-step process as well as make you feel comfortable on the road, even the highway. Safety was always priority and I felt all my needs were met. It was an overall postive experience from communicating with the office to sign up and book the lessons to taking the pre-licensing course and driving instruction. I am pleased to say I passed the road test on the first try. I am one happy customer!

I had a lot of lessons with Mercedes Driving school as I am a learner who likes to take my time and take things slow to learn things . However I did pass my road test on my first try yesterday and am grateful for the lessons! Especially Kostas he was my favorite so thank you!!

2022-05-09I am so happy to announce that after taking 10 lessons with Tasos, I did my road test on May 9, 2022 and I am so elated that I pass. I am giving God thanks first of all and to Tasos my driving instructor, thank you for being so patient with me. You are the best and I recommend anyone who needs an instructor to choose you. I recommend you to choose Mercedes Driving School. Not everyone will have the same patient level as Tasos my instructor but be focus. Trust me if I can pass anyone can pass, as long as you put your mind to it🤗

2022-06-09I enjoyed my experience. Tasos is an amazing instructor. Kostas as well! Tasos is very kind and made me feel comfortable when I was anxious. I felt as if a parent or a family friend was teaching, rather than a instructor. Tasos’s teaching is very relaxed and provides pointers. His teaching is more intuitive. The service of the place is good too. A driver drove me to the testing site and back to the office. Make sure to cancel/reschedule your appointments 24 hours prior. I also recommend taking your driving classes around the office rather than around your home, it’s empty and easier to learn. Happy that I passed the road test by only taking it once

2022-04-12I had a great experience while taking my practice test with Kostas , such a great guy very patient and on going. I’ve never met a person who’s giving instructions on how to drive all day with no breaks have so much patience with me.The second i did something wrong he corrected me in a professional way , never raised his voice and is a person open to any questions. He had me prepared up to my last practice test and made sure I had confidence. Only thing i did find odd , my mom accompanied me to my test and I asked a guy who worked there if my mom could stay there while I come back from the test. He seemed like he was having a bad day he gave a rude response and said that it gets busy there and my mom would have to wait outside and then he rushed me out of there. It was my fault for not asking prior to showing up if my mom was allowed to stay there but it was almost 9 and they open at 9 am I didn’t think it would get busy that early as he mentioned and my mom had to wait outside in the cold…….. but if the test took less than 30 min my mom could’ve stayed inside waiting for me instead of being outside in the cold… but overall great experience!!!

2022-04-21Just passed my road test! I owe it all to Mercedes Driving school honestly. This place helped me get over the anxiety a previous school instilled in me. I had both Boris and Taso as my instructors and they were both very patient with me. 5/5 would definitely recommend this school to my friends and family.

2022-04-13They’re nice people, but they won’t give you advice or in courage you, it’s like you got to do that on your own… I had George as a Instructor, and he’ll start off with a nice attitude and then he’ll switch up on you with a bad attitude, while he’s teaching you, he’ll give you examples that will make confuse. He will yell at you if you make a mistake… while you’re driving , he’ll talk to you and also want to show you something and say “Hey, where this belong to” like why would you want to show a beginner something. He had a bad odor car and his back seat was messy with a Jewish bible, a shovel and and shoes… then he will tell you that that’s disrespectful to put your stuff on my stuff, but why your car is messy… George would tell you that you’re going to fail and don’t know how to drive, I’ll recommend you not to take him or go somewhere else if you want to pass

2022-04-01They have great instructors that guided me with easy to understand instructions. Everyone was super friendly and it was easy to get comfortable around the wheel with them there. Wouldnt have done it anywhere else!
