I’m in the ER lobby I can’t believe they have this elderly man patient sitting here in severe excruciating pain from a kidney stone. As ER they should no how painful they are & they just have this man sitting here like this in pain. At least get him back there & make him comfortable! Beyond pathetic & unacceptable! Now I no I wouldn’t ever bring my elderly parents here.
Update: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I was there recently for pain Ive had for 2/3 weeks and its gotten worse .I told everyone I believed it was connected to an infection I had a couple months ago. Doctor checked my ears and throat said everything looked fine doesnt know whats going on GoodBye. I soon after went some where else to be seen and was told I have a deep tissue infection. Was given a shot of antibiotics and a prescription on antibiotics. Wouldnt allow my daughters support Companion to go with her in the exam room even though he has done so before. Asked for proof that she needed him. Do they ask people in wheelchairs to prove they need them? How about people with oxygen tanks, do they need to show proof?
I went in for severe shoulder and neck pain. The doctor was caring and took the time to listen to my concerns. She ordered an X-ray and gave me a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. Cheri the nurse working alongside the doctor was very empathic and genuinely cares about people. Glad I was able to be seen relatively quickly and get the care I did.
I was treated for an abdominal infection from a diverticulitis attack. The fill in staff was great, the care was great and they were well worth the 150.00 per hour. Yes, I said 150.00 per hr. Im glad the strike is over and all are getting back to work. Scabs is an awful term to use when referring to these folks as they were top notch professionals.
Brought my 89 year old aunt who fell and hit her head and is on blood thinners. Care was excellent! They had her examined and Cat scanned and discharged in about 2 hours. Every staff member we encountered was so polite and friendly! As a nurse at St Joes I especially appreciate each and every person who helped us for they’re compassion and friendliness. Thank you 😊
I came here recently to have pre operation testing done. I have been here many times before for testing and never had a bad experience. The woman that checked me in and entered my scripts and information into the computer was HORRIBLE!! Her name was Amy, and she was the rudest and nastiest person I have ever dealt with here. She kept telling me information was wrong on the script from my doctor. I offered to call them or take it back to my doctor and have it fixed and she wouldnt let me do that. She was beyond rude to me for 40 minutes when I finally stood up to walk out. I called my doctors office when I got home and they said there was nothing wrong with my paper work. I will never go back here for pre operation testing! Its too bad because everyone else was wonderful, and before then I never had a problem.
Fell down at home and landed on chair. I ended up fracturing four ribs. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left my care was excellent. The nurse that took care of me was awesome, and actually was concerned. They kept me informed at all times, and took tests to make sure there were no other issues. They made what was a painful situation bearable. Thanks to all that helped me!
I cannot say enough good things about this place! I had an incident during a mixed martial arts class and was worried that my appendix was going to rupture due to the nature of my pain. Everyone acted quickly and professionally. The staff was friendly and caring. The person who stood out the most was Melissa who did my CT scan. She is the sweetest person Ive ever met and handled my anxiety about the procedure better than words can even explain. I am grateful for this facility and will definitely be using them from now on (but hopefully I wont have to)
My daughter and I just left your facility extremely disappointed with your service. She has been there before with the same symptoms and received excellent care. We arrived about 2:00 with her having terrible stomach pain. She has experienced these symptoms before and it turned out she was dehydrated. Last time she was given an IV, felt much better after a couple hours and was sent on her way. This time she was left sitting in a hall from 2:00 until 6:30. She was instructed not to drink any water. We finally left and went home about 8:30. At no time during that time period was she ever told to take a sip of water. So from 2:00 until 8:30 a dehydrated patient is told not to drink any water. Good thing she disobeyed these instructions and did drink some water I smuggled in otherwise I’m pretty sure she would have ended up on the floor in the hall. After spending all afternoon in my sun heated car I had some heated words with who I was told was the nurse in charge and we left. Thanks for the professional caring service.
I had a bad laceration on my left foot and one of left hand finger by power tool, my wife took me there...thanks for the nurses for cleaning the wounds and then waited for the doctor for over 3 hours !!!Guest what ? They took some x ray, put band-aid on and transferred me to ECMC then charged my healthcare $2500!!!Please avoid this hospital and go some where else, do not make mistake like I did! ( I d heard bad reputations about them but still went there because its close to my house).
I was sitting in the waiting room with my girlfriend who they claim might have appendicitis ....after hours of waiting I decided to take a walk out of the room to find all of the nurses sitting in a circle conversating about what concerts they had planned so I proceeded to ask if they could move the process a little quicker because she was in pain....the nurse named Jennifer then proceeded to remove me saying I was being “agressive” ..... this place is a joke and I don’t recommend it to anybody , easy paycheck for the people that work there
We arrived at 10:00pm for my fiancée severe back pain. Mercy staff had her test for a kidney stone. I was not allowed back with her, which is understandable given the pandemic. They kept asking her to provide a urine sample, which she could not. Probably because of the kidney stone. They routinely left her alone in the room for 20 - 30 minutes and just kept bringing the cup back saying We need more urine than this for the test. The whole time, shes texting me telling me shes in 7/10 pain. Its 2:12am and I havent seen her yet. Believe the reviews. This place is awful.
WORST experience of my life. The doctor (Samuel Grodman) was so focused on watching the TV behind me that he didnt even bother to listen to anything I said. He wouldnt even give me the decency to look me in the eye (or even in my general direction). I left in tears feeling worse than when I arrived. NEVER going back.
I am having surgery and was told by my doctor to come here and have my pre-op tests. I was given a sheet by my doc w his signature and what needed to be done. The woman who took me back was very rude. She offered no help until I called my doc. The woman told me there was no codes and she couldn’t do anything. My doc office said they have sent other patients over with the same thing wo issue. The woman was no help. She didn’t even offer to give me a fax number. I had to ask her for it and she didn’t even know it! I had the office on the phone and she didn’t even bother to talk to them. On top of that she said this want even her department. I went back to the reception area while the doc faxed the orders and had to take another number and wait again! I wouldn’t go here ever again. Just call quest or somewhere else and make an appointment!
I was in extreme abdominal pain after 1 day from an upset insides. The BILLS were playing that day and we got stuck on 20. Upon reaching MAC I was ready to pass out from the pain. Intake was fast and I saw a nurse and then a DOC in short order. A CATSCAN later , they diagnosed the problem and gave us scripts. Five days later I feel like my old self. The service was G R E A T. The young DOC was a pleasure to deal with and was not in a hurry. I wish they offered general practitioner services .... I would sign up in a minute. A good GP at age 75 is hard to find . MANY THACKS TO THE WHOLE STAFF>
After a fall in my home on 10/22/2020 I My Doctor suggested I go to the MAC Center for x-rays and possibly more. Admissions and offering a wheelchair was very professionally done. After many pertinent questions the x-ray tech came in and wheeled me out of the small room to get x-rays. On the way out she ran right in to a portable computer standing in the narrow pass between the nurses station and the room. My right ankle and leg was the issue I had and thats where I struck the computer. I hollered out in pain as all the nurses heads popped up to see what happened. This woman was very careless in moving me from room to room. She was very apologetic but still too careless.
I woke up at 4 in the morning with an unknown pain in my side and went to this location. I was taken in quickly and was able to go home within three hours. They also suggested a 24 hour pharmacy versus my regular one so I was able to receive my medication as quickly as possible. The staff treated me with so much respect and made me feel extremely comfortable! The rooms were clean and I felt very attended to the entire time.
DO NOT come here if you are in respiratory distress! I brought my mother here and they don’t even have respiratory therapists working. The nurses and doctors were GOOGLING how to use the bipap machine and then ventilator. I’m a retired icu nurse and they are to blame for my mother having a pneumothorax. No wonder why they have lawsuits. HIRE PEOPLE THAT ARE LICENSED AND TRAINED to run machines
I just returned home from a visit at Mercy Ambulatory Care Center, and could not have been more pleased with the care I was given. My wait time was very short, I was seen quickly by the doctor, had a CT scan and was released with good news. The nurses and the CT technician were personable, friendly and caring. My entire visit lasted only one and a half hours and I walked out with peace of mind.
Based off of the other reviews Im not sure if I just got lucky on the day I went but I had a great experience. I visited the emergency room. I was checked in quickly and in a room within 10 minutes. The doctor had a plan in place within maybe 30 or 45 minutes after arriving. Including an infusion of medication that takes an hour, I was in an out within 2 hours. The doctor listened to me and explained everything. The nurses were great. I will continue to go to this location when an emergency arises.
I fell on Easter Sunday and needed xrays. The people at the center were so kind and helpful, making a stressful experience so much better. I especially loved the xray tech. who had volunteered to work on Easter so that the younger workers could be with their families.
I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I recently had to bring my mom to the MAC center as she experienced Covid Psychosis. The staff here treated her terribly as well as myself. Rolling their eyes and acting as though my mother was crazy for how she was feeling. The treatment here is disgusting for health professionals. When finally getting the report in the mail, there were multiple false claims on the medical report along lines of what had happened while my mother was there. The patient care here is disturbing and I would urge anyone to go somewhere else.
Awful experience. I arrived here at 10:15 and its 12:36 and I still havent been brought to my room. People who came in after us have already left the facility. They said it goes by urgency. Im sorry but Ive had awful ear aches since Saturday. I would not recommend this to anyone. Last time I needed medical attention, I went to Kenmore Mercy and almost right away they took me in. No impressed at all. Update: it is now 2:01 and still my mother and I have not been looked at. The dont even have a call button to call a nurse. They dont even have a remote for the tv. You have to get up and figure out how to navigate it on your own. What if a person cannot get up and they want to watch television. Also on the sheet on the bed, which was super small, there were holes. They gave us no extra blankets or sheets. We had to get our own. My mother got a room but I still havent. New people have come in a gotten a room before me. How is that possible when you put me in the system when my mother got a room about FOUR hours ago? I was told that Im next but theres no one in the waiting room. This is the most unpleasant experience I have ever had. So glad I came here.
The doctor got an attitude when I told her I didn’t know how long she’d be able to look inside my ear to see what was going on due to the extreme amount of pain I was in, instead she said in a nasty tone “well I have to look to see what’s going on” instead of offering another option. The nurse I had was fantastic!
Refuse to let both parents in with a child and then say its be abuse of covid yes the nurse who cared for my stepdaughter didnt have her mask over her nose. I have pictures of this. Absolutely disgusted with this. You want to use any excuse and not have your employees follow the rules maybe you should think of another excuse
This place is awesome! More places should be like the MAC Center with more to it than you would guess. The staff knowledgeable and friendly but most importantly they get to taking care of you and your health issue as fast as possible! Its the only place my whole family goes to for sudden health issues!
Will wait hours and hours only to see a doctor, who doesnt care, for less than five minutes. Update: I came here for a recent concussion (third one this year) and the doctor refused to do a ct or mri scan despite my vomitting, severe nausea, dizziness, and other concussion symptoms and the brain bleeds Ive had in the past.
I will never go back to this place ever again. Was in the door and in a gown in the first 5 minutes, check in was great. I came here for heart problems and after an hour and a half, the doc came in and told me my issues were from medication I was on. I told him that my cardiologist and primary already ran tests to rule out the interaction he was referring to. He proceeds to tell me I am wrong and sent me on my way. No tests or anything not an EKG, just your wrong Im sorry, let me write up your paperwork so you can leave. Im not treating you for anything tonight. He did not care about anything at all. Absolutely horrendous!
I went in around 11:45 am on a Sunday. I was seen almost immediately and I was also able to do a quick intake with the nurse. I had a fantastic nurse named Ilia who put my mind at ease during my stay. The doctor was very nice as well. This place has a bad rep but I don’t think anyone should avoid this location. Thank you for helping me get better
Worst experience ever. They do not care about anyone here. I went in with sever heel pain in my left foot. After no exam by anyone, no nurse, no PA, no doctor, someone came in and said you have an ankle sprain. I told them that is not why I came in here. They told me too bad, this is what the chart says. I told the person that no one examined my foot. I was again told there was nothing they could do. I went to another facility, and it turns out I have a blood clot. Mistakes I can deal with, but the people at this place do not care.
I agree. The nurses for x-rays and room visits were so kind. It was a disappointing experience with the physician/doctor. She was very dismissive and left you with the feeling that you werent really injured and pill hungry. I arrived at the Mac center at 6:30pm. I was not seen by a doctor until 9:45pm and did not leave the center until close to 11:00pm. The doctor came in for an approximate 1 minute analysis. As said before, extremely dismissive, did notperform a thorough examination, and left you feeling helpless. Strongly advise to avoid this hospital.
Wow... still waiting after over an hour. Low staff? More like no staff. I tried to get the channel changed so my kids did not have to watch an inappropriate TV show in the waiting room. I was told no and that its for other people to watch too. Funny thing... we were the only people in the waiting room besides one other woman who told us she would not mind at all if it was changed (she wasnt watching it anyway). They finally changed it telling us rudely it was a courtesy that they did so. Bring a lunch you will need it. Up date on how long it took I left after 3 hours with no one even seeing my daughter. Its not an emergency room it a giant waiting room. Two thumbs down.
I will start by saying the people who check you in and the nurse that performed my CAT scan were very polite and very accommodating. This is where the good ends. The physician who examined me and the attending nurse both made me feel like a drug hunter. The doctor insisted there was nothing wrong with me and diagnosed my severe hip pain as a muscle sprain. I have had this pain for over a year and explained everything involving how it has been for me to him. The nurse then came in and spoke to me about drug addiction and how lots of people, including herself, deal with chronic pain every day. Suffice it to say, after a 10:30 p.m. arrival time and a 2:30 a.m. departure time, none of this settled well with me. Every time I tried to speak to the doctor, he was evasive. When the nurse came in with my discharge papers, the doctor chose that moment to make a discrete departure. I have always had good luck with the Catholic Health system, however I will never return to this place for any reason.
Im surprised to see such poor reviews and think MAYBE in the time between the most recent review and mine, the place was really whipped into shape.I had a pretty unpleasant sprain on New Years Eve and went to this location. The waiting room was packed but the wait wasnt horrible for any of us. The staff was very pleasant with the exception (initially) of the security guard. However, after a short while, he was nicer. Maybe hes annoyed at work because everyone who comes in has a bad attitude in addition to being injured.People can choose to go to a real hospital but between travel time and the wait youd have there and probably less friendly staff, why would you?The only things Id change are Id add flowers and colors to the waiting room and where you see the nurse before being seen and smoking should be allowed at the entrance.
Easily one of the worst places Ive ever been for medical care. I was in need of an emergency rx till I could get a hold of my doctor during the week. I waited almost two hours just to get checked in and another hour and a half before seeing the doctor. He was rude and barely spent two minutes with me and told me they wont give me a script because they dont fill the type of medication I take. So I waited almost four hours just to be told that. Your way better off going to MASH or even a regular ER like Saint Joes.
I had a small pimple forming on my palm before going to work one day. In the middle of work (about 6 hours in) the pain and swelling was so excruciating. I left work and had my fiance drive me to MACC. The check-in process was o.k. I was put in a room fairly quickly since my whole hand at this point was discolored and swollen. (Looked like shreks hand). The doctor came into the room and told me I need to put my hands in the sun to get rid of the eczema. I am a nurse so I told the doctor... I most definitely have an infection. Since my hand was green and swollen I knew that lack of sun was not the answer. He reluctantly prescibed me an antibiotic with no consultation in regards to the antibiotic. I then went to the pharmacy and recieved an antibiotic which I am allergic to. Severely! I then dealt with the pain through the night and went to Immediate care in the morning. They immediately gave me IM antibiotics and sent me to UB hand surgeon from there I was taken to ECMC for emergency surgery where I had to give permission to take my hand off due to my hand being engulfed with a MRSA infection. Luckily I was able to keep my right hand. Now it is disabled with troubles writing, driving, opening things and just plain opening the hand all together Thank you MACC for almost taking my hand from me!
This place is a joke. I came here about a month ago and was treated like a child by the doctor. If it wasn’t for the nurse actually listening, I may have never found out about the cyst on my brain. I’m here now because of my friend in pain and has been for the last few weeks. The doctor is acting like she isn’t in any pain. They did a scan on her head because of the headaches she has been getting even tho she’s more worried about her neck, which is most likely causing the pain. It’s even on record, form here!!!!!!!! Long waiting times to get made felt like your lying about wrong about how you feel. 0 stars. Waste of time.
This was the worst experiences Ive had at a medical care Center like this. I shouldve taken the advice of all the reviews Ive read before going there. But here is a list of serious problems I noticed during my 4.5 hour visit, which was 99% waiting in bad pain and 1% being carelessly looked at by a doctor who wasnt even close on the diagnosis.1) the facility was way too understaffed2) besides maybe 1 person who was registering people at the little booth, the staff was very rude, and seemed like they could care less..3) the facility is very dirty, with cobwebs, filthy carpets, stained bed sheets and I was placed in a makeshift room that was Im assuming originally and still is a storage room, where I waited another 2 hours for the careless doctor to tell me that I had a sinus problem when in actuality it is a tooth abcess and wicked pain. The doctor said he wont give me anything for pain, only an antibiotic.4) the nurses, fairly I can only speak for one of them, was very rude and walked in and out of the storage room I was waiting in, a few times, without saying hello or even noticing I was even there. So for the, 4.5 hours of waiting in bad pain, which was from 1am-5:30am, with only a few patients at most in front of me, the doctor sent me off with nothing for pain.Im not just writing this review because Im upset with my visit there, but seriously this felt like a 3rd world clinic. With poor staffing.Ill probably get a generic response from the mercy ambulatory care representative, like others who wrote reviews, but seriously dont bother please. Obviously our reviews mean nothing to you, otherwise the clinic wouldnt be in the shape its in, hygenically, staff quality and staff moral.Folks youd be better off going to the nearest hospital er, or mash even. Mash always treated me good with a friendly staff.
I go to this hospital because its the closest one to where i live. Its a good hospital, but the waiting to get checked in and getting a room takes forever. I waited during a weekday almost 5 hours, decided to go to a different hospital. The drive was farther but at least i didnt have to wait long at the other hospital. Also took my 2 month old son to this hospital, but they wouldnt take him in. We had to drive all the way to the chidrens hospital sometimes the nurses can be rude at this hospital. And not very helpful.
I need to express my concerns about my experience on June 4, 2018. I understand that the facility is in an upgrading phase, and things are a work in progress, but I found my experience to be very unprofessional. I entered the Center and was greeted by a security guard (?) Who gave me a clipboard with a short form asking why I was here. I was in pain, and he didnt offer a seat right away. There were a couple staff that I encountered that could definitely use some training in social skills. I found Lisa Ricotta, PA to be very personable and caring. I need to add that the Discharge Insructions I was given were BARELY readable. The nurse (I believe) apologized saying the repairman was coming soon to fix the toner. Come on. That is not acceptable.
My wife and I just came in with her breast surgery incision that had opened and is currently still bleeding. The rudest triage nurse in NY informed us that they couldnt do anything but LOOK at another surgeons work, so they couldnt do anything for us, but we were welcome to be seen anyway, though they wouldnt be able to do anything so we should just call the surgeon that did it... at 6AM when they are not open. Guess we will have to wait for a few more hours and hope that they can stitch it still.
I was at MAAC for a very simple, non emergent EKG. Waited a half hour just to sign in, then waited another half hour for technician though there were no other patients getting tested. THEN, two weeks later, I found out that NEITHER of my doctors got the results. I looked at the order, and both doctors were listed very clearly, to get the results. Completely unacceptable. I now wonder, who DID get my results? But yes, the staff at MAAC is friendly.
I was brought back to have vitals taken, then placed in a room to wait. They have not even taken my insurance information from me! When I asked for my boyfriend to be brought to the room with me they said they were asking him for my information which he doesnt know. The PA came in the room as they ran my information through up front. 3 months later now I am hit with a outrageous bill when I was never told the DR who saw me doesnt accept my insurance. I went to this location because I was referred by a doctor at my work!! Very upset with this place and never plan on returning.
Although my son was quickly seen because we were the first ones in line, the PA had a terrible disposition. After receiving my son’s diagnosis, the PA acted very rude towards me and had her back towards us leaving the room while saying “bye”. She was very rude! As a parent when your child is ill, you hurt too. I did not expect such rude and accusatory type behavior from “professional staff”. I will never go back to this place! If you’re not feeling well, don’t come here - bedside manner is awful!
Went in because of podsible chemical fume inhalation, skins and eyes feeling like they are on fire, already had thrown up . they put me in a room forgot about me then got annoyed I was in the room when they needed it forgot to put my x-Ray order in then diagnosed it as an anxiety attack because my x-Ray was clear. My skin and eyes still burn and Im still feeling nauses. Oh on top of that the discharge nurse called me dumb for smoking to help my ptsd.
I was under the assumption this place was fast listen when I tell you that is a lie.. I walk in at 1215pm I didnt get seen until 1250pm to check in with the nurse so she can do my vitals. After that I didnt make it to the back area until 230pm I ask the nurse how long would the wait be she stated no more then a hour we move quick here.. Well look like we have a different outlook on what is quick it is now 255pm in I am sitting in a room in still waiting on someone to see me.. I should have went to urgent care or Mash.
I went to the MACC at EMTs suggestion because Mercy ER had a long wait time.I was x-rayed and had a CT scan because of a fall. My results came back negative for any fractures. The doctor prescribed a pain medication similar to Alleve. I informed the doctor that I was on a ibuprofen 800 regimen for chronic pain. The doctor told me to alternate the two. Needlessto say the pharmacy would not fill the prescription because it was contra indicated. Six days later I went to the Mercy ER because the pain was getting worse. I was x-rayed again and it was discovered that I had a fractured sacrum and two fractured ribs. I needlessly suffered for a week because I was misdiagnosed. Next time, I will go to the Mercy ER no matter how long the wait is.
All I want to know is how to get ahold of the corporate office and the name of the doctor working between 12 am and 3am on the morning of 10/27/19 He dose not deserve his job. And because of our experience we will never put ourselves in this hospitals so called “care” again. And to anyone reading this comment ... I suggest you never visit this hospital unless you want to go home uneducated on your illness/injury!
Sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours. I also had to stand for over an hour because all the seats were taken in the lobby. I ended up leaving and the receptionists asked if I was sure I wanted to leave. They knew what my condition was...I should not have sat there that long. I at least should have been brought a chair to be accommodated while I had to wait.
Staff does not seem to have any compassion towards patients. Doctor medhat barsoom is lacking as well, quick to get you in and out regardless of issue, does not care for your own concerns and issues when you try to talk him how you feel he is fast to tell you that you are wrong. Just a bad experience will be going elsewhere from now on.
My husband went for a breathing evaluation on 10/4/17. We just received bill from a collection agency for $30.00 (almost 6 months later). I called them asking why this was sent for collection. Because they said Mercy had sent statements and they werent paid. I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM THEM!. Just called them and they had an old address from 4 years ago. They must never have asked him to confirm his current information. How did the collection agency know where to send the bill?
This place is awful! Came in for chest pain and shortness of breath but what I ended up with was a headache! Blood sat on the counter for 2 1/2 hours, while the doctor said half of it had already been processed, used wrong techniques (blood pressure cuff over the IV site), rude nurses, lieing doctors, never have I experienced such a terrible mess! Will NEVER come back!!
I’ve honestly been here several times in the past and never had a bad experience. Tonight was a different story, I’m not going to get into details but I have never felt so insulted and embarrassed. I’m looking forward to talking to someone tomorrow and hopefully getting answers.
We arrived about 11:30 PM on 7/26/14. The guard at the reception desk didnt look up from his puzzle book, and I had to ask twice where I needed to sign in. The waiting room was full. We took a seat and couldnt help but notice a young boy in a wheelchair, who was very obviously in distress. He was crying and screaming out in pain. My fiancé, my daughter, and I were concerned and bothered that no one seemed to care that this young boy was in agony. My fiancé and I yelled to the guard to do something or get a nurse or doctor. He said he couldnt do anything - it wasnt his job. My fiancé then went up to the reception desk to tell the guard to go get someone. They FINALLY called him and his grandmother back to a room. We could still hear him screaming in the waiting room. Two hours later, his grandmother left with him, WITHOUT BEING SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! This is absurd! How is it possible that a healthcare team can let a child be in such pain and agony, while treating other patients with toothaches, etc. After waiting over four hours, we also left without getting my foot stitched or x-rayed. There were still other patients ahead of me and it would be hours before I was seen. I had heard other horror stories about this facility, but have NEVER seen such neglect or lack of compassion in a healthcare setting like this. If its the last place on earth to go, I would rather die. This is a horrible place!!! I still cant help but think about that little boy and his cries of pain....
They park you in a storage room with a gurney in it... for 7 hours! And when they need to do a cast on somebody, they ask you to sit in the waiting room. Went in with 3 broken ribs and dislocated vertebrae. Sit in the waiting room? Then... they want to stock the room. Wonder if its full price for the stock room part time??? Not happy today!
I was at mac last night. And had a 9 outta 10 pain, and internal bleeding. The doctor didnt see me in my room for 1 hr. He came in and basically called me a liar and did nothing for my pain. I was so upset that I got up and left. And went to ecmc got right in and was treated right away. Mac center is a joke! And I will never go back...
Arrived at the MACC at 5.05 pm. It took 2.5 hours to get a simple ultrasound scan done. Things are happening at a very slow rate. Not once have I been seen by a doctor. Just PA and nurses. Now I am waiting to get scan results.Update 1: it is 8.05 pm now. I have been at the MACC since 5.05 pm. Still waiting to receive scan results. Finally!!! Results came back negative. It was a 3 HR waiting game.
Not a place to take your family too unless you wanna die while waiting! I took a friend there with severe breathing and other problems Ive never been to a hospital with such worst bed side manner and disrespect from now on I go to E.c.m.c or Buffalo General this place should be reported or shut down!!! I am hoping I never need a flight there I rather die in flight,
Only hospital I know that gives your room away while your in xray then makes you sit in a waiting room to get results treat their patients poorly considering WE ARE YOUR PAYCHECK shame on them for their poor behavior and car and calling themselves catholic charities Ive seen nothing more unholy then the way they treated me and my child!
I needed some xrays done and was referred by my doctor to go here. I had fantastic service here!! Very friendly and caring staff took care of me. Very fast service, I was in and out. My doctor called me a half hour later with my results!! I highly recommend this place!!
Healthcare is broken in Buffalo, NY. Family member had infected leg. Primary at Buffalo Medical Group had no availablilty this week! Orthopedic MD no availability for 24 days!Friend at Roswell recommended Mercy Ambulatory Care Center. Within two hours we were seen, several x-rays, injection of antibiotics, script sent to pharmacy and follow up the next day with orthopedic surgeon. Excellent service by all front front desk to physician assistant, Paul Nowak.
The wait is incredibly long, even when there was no one in the place.... i was there for 4 plus hours! The place is filthy. I finally got a bill in the mail with a breakdown of everything and paid my portion right away... months later I get another bill in the mail with no explanation at all?! Youre better off going to MASH.
I have gone there twice in 2 months and was very happy with the service i recieved...i didnt wait long was treated with dignity, they answered every question...anyone giving a bad rating must be a spoiled millenial...Kim was especially helpful, pleasant, and truly concerned...nothing but good things to say and would never think twice about going again
Have now been waiting more than 3 HOURS to be seen for a burn. I know people are seen based on the seriousness of their injury, but there were only 3 people waiting when I arrived 3 HOURS ago. Several people have waited and walked out to go somewhere else. This is nuts!
Have never seen such a display of gross incompetence as this hellhole of a health care center. Currently on hour 6 with no hope of going home in the forseeable future. Never go here. If you’re wondering whether or not it’s worth it to drive a little further, it is. Stay away.
Horrible they could care less how much pain you are in my wife hurt her back she was in excruciating pain she had too sit for 4 hours in a hard chair just to be seen they gave her nothing to relieve the pain except tylenol which did nothing finally after 6 hours they sent her home in the same.pain she was un when she came i.understand people abuse painkillers.but when someone is truly in pain they could given her an injection at.least to relieve her horrible never again and then the nurse told.her well you cant lay around all dau really my wife works 2 jobs how ignorant can you be
I went into mac center today around 12 noon to have exrays done an of course they were busy but after I sat here for HR a lady with small child came when she came in she didnt show i.d like everyone else she went straight back to registration and then within 20 minutes they called her back skipping everyone else including me .nos I said something to registering nurse about the skipping they said depends on the situation an she said her situation was worse then mine I said really nobody was yellingor complaining about being in pain there was no reason other then she knows someone who works here and its very rude to skip so many besisds myself sincerely Timothy boatman

2022-07-11Recently my 10 month old grandson was seen at Mercy Ambulatory in the early morning hours. He had been a restless miserable baby and my daughter & son in law knew something was up and hoped to figure out why by taking him there. After a through evaluation he was diagnosed with “teething.” Bringing him home he was still miserable after giving him Tylenol. He was taken to his pediatrician after having a very bad night. There he was found testing positive for Covid and a dual ear infection. They never even tested him at Mercy and was told his ears were perfect. Unbelievable!

2022-07-22I just paid my bill for my emergency room visit $1,000. During the visit just received fluids and was told to go home and deal with it. Now Im receiving another bill from an additional doctor I never saw, for an additional $210 and Ive been told I just have to pay it.Im so glad Im leaving and will never have to go to MACC Emergency again because theyre just looking to scam people.Nice try, with trying to save face with your reply. I know your patient relations wont do anything and itll be a waste of my time to call. I already paid you scam artists, if you continue to send me more bull bills your gonna have to take me to collections.

2022-06-13I was assaulted while pregnant and had an entire police report for it. I was told “if you’re like one week pregnant an ultrasound won’t even see anything” and was sent home with nothing. So if you didn’t know, you can know you’re pregnant by one week.Absolute garbage doctors that don’t actually care about patient care. They’re just there for a paycheck. They wouldn’t even let me finish speaking on what was wrong before brushing everything off. I am actually disgusted that a pregnant women comes in telling you they were hit in the stomach and have pain and it gets brushed off and a big f you. Really pathetic excuse of health care workers.

2022-03-20Brought my daughter in for horrible chest pain they put us in a room and we’ve been sitting waiting for over 2 hours now! Not once has anyone even come in to check on her or see if we where ok or needed anything! The room is absolutely freezing I had to look through cupboards to find her a blanket (seeing how she’s already sick enough). I went out and asked the nurse that put us in the room over 45 mins ago now is she’d be seen soon and she said the doc would be in soon and yet still nothing! Been here since 8:30! Not to mention the nurse that put us in here seemed downright miserable as if she didn’t even want to be at her job!

2022-06-28DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!staff was terrible and rude. we came in for severe abdominal pain, they were immediately judgmental of the fact that my girlfriend and i were dating— then proceeded to be so rude to my girlfriend she started crying. the nurse just told her to stop her crying and then refused to let her leave even though she begged and demanded for them to let her go. took 12 times of asking and 20 minutes for them to finally discharge her. the staff gossiped over her and diane kester at the front desk refused to believe they werent letting her leave or give me the nurses name! the police officer at the front was the only considerate person there, he still didnt do anything though lol

2022-08-19Got there on 8/19/2022 with my nephew at 8:00 pm. He fell mountain biking and cut his leg pretty deep. After over 5 hours of waiting we decided to leave. They didn’t even look at his leg. Going to Wellnow in the morning.

2022-03-08Was forced to sit in a room with my own vomit on the floor, I did try to clean it up. The doctor didnt inform me about any tests he would be ordering. So i spent 7 hours, maybe longer there and wasnt informed once about anything until it came time to discharge me. Nurses were okay, a little rude and rough when doing my IV. I wouldve gotten better treatment at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital.

2020-10-09I had several issues going on and with COVID-19 I could not get a doctors appointment. I had my daughter take me to the emergency room. Before I could complete telling my symptoms to the woman checking my vitals, I was in a bed having a procedure to check my heart. Within a few minutes they gave me a chest X-ray (brought it to me) and put in an IV to lower my heart rate. I felt so much better fast. I didn’t know I was having a heart problem. Thank you Mercy for recognizing my body was in distress, and fixing my immediate problem with the fastest response I have experienced in a hospital emergency department.

2022-02-26The care I received from the nurses/doctors/etc. was great. My only comment is that while I visited, I overheard somebody manning the phones brag to her coworker that she hung up on a caller because they were stuttering. Im not sure if somebody should behave that way working in a medical facility.

2022-01-28Tho I haven’t been treated recently I have been treated there a number of times - When working I also had occasion to bring folks there when needed . I always had good care tho the time spent is usually no less then 4 hours each time - I was well taken care of as well as the folks I brought in . Be it X-rays- IV’s etc the nurses and doctors that were there I was totally satisfied with . Whenever I have an emergency that does not require a hospital I will always choose MACC
