5 Stars in every way!We needed a lift chair for my mom and Merrick Surgical came through with a great chair and delivered it the same day. A week later we realized the chair would have been better suited to be upstairs and they came back on the weekend, no questions asked and moved the chair for us. Leo is extremely knowledgable and a true gentlemen. As someone who has been in the healthcare industry myself for more than 30 years, I could not recommend them more highly! They truly go above and beyond to make sure you receive the best possible care
We needed a chair quickly for my cousin Bobby to improve his quality of life. At Merrick, they truly care about customer satisfaction and take the health of each patient extremely seriously. We purchased a chair last Summer. When it broke last month, Merrick went above and beyond to send us a technician on a Sunday in the middle of a snowstorm! If you need any surgical supplies, do not look any further.
Leo and Merrick Surgical Supply are a lifesaver! I called on a Saturday, desperate to help my elderly mom out with getting her a much needed lift chair. Leo was instantly super friendly, and eager to help, mentioning that they could deliver today!!! And sure enough, he stood by his word, personally delivered the chair, making sure that my mom was well taken care of. Amazing customer service, executed happily with a can-do attitude! I am so grateful and impressed. Leo kept in touch with me via text to let me know all was good, writing a very heartfelt message, “if we change one life we can change the world” Leo is sure in the right business.
Merrick Surgical Supply Co. is an excellent service!!! We needed a fully electric hospital bed for my mother who is age 93 and bed bound. I telephoned MSS today from Virginia to inquire about a wheel chair for my mother living in NY. Mr. Leo answered the phone and I immediately explained I needed help and direction. Mr. Leo’s service was exceptional. Without concern for his own sale, he directed to me to first contact Insurance provider to utilize our covered options under plan which would cost $0.00. He explained everything I needed to do in clear and precise detail. Only afterwards did he suggest I visit his shop to purchase a wheelchair in the event we get the “insurance run-around”. I guess their real customers get 6 STAR Service!! Really a nice experience when today everyone is abrupt- Thank you.
I called Merrick Surgical Supplies minutes before they closed. I was looking for a Lift Chair for my father who had been discharged from the hopsital that afternoon. Leo answered the phone and he was an absolute angel. He personally delivered a chair to us that same evening so that my dad would have a safe and comfortable nights rest. We were overwhelmed by his knowledge, kindness and dedication to helping others. Truly a Godsend!
Recently bought a rollator here from Leo. Very accomodating and helpful. Needed to return a few days later due to problems I had adjusting height on one side. Got there as store opened for the day. Didnt feel treated as friendly as when I made the purchase. Leo did quickly fix my problem. I will assume change in manner was due to my arriving just as they opened. Had money with me that same morning to purchase a lift chair but left as it didnt appear that was a good time. Will think about returning again.D. Vetter
The staff, including Maureen and the owner Leo, were very helpful and kind to me. They made sure I was happy with the lift chair I chose. When I needed some help, the acted quickly to fix the situation. Leo even came to my home himself to help me! They really wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Very excited to work with a brick and mortar store especially when a gentleman by the name of Leo was so pleasant on the telephone. As I explained my handicap mom was in need of a lift chair and one of the reasons why I chose not to purchase online was that so I can receive services of accommodating her lack of mobility, which he Agreed to provide That was until I made a 45 minute drive to the store front and was blatantly told to my face , By his partner, that the conversation on the phone was not going to take place. I could not say enough about Fran and the amazing people at Merrick Surgical Supplies and Home Care! They treated us so wonderfully and were so sweet after my daughter injured her foot!! I highly recommend them for all of your surgical supply needs!!
I recently fell and injured my back and broke my wrist. i have not been able to sleep comfortably in the last 10 days. Yesterday my husband brought me to Merrick Surgical and they helped me get into the store with a transport chair and put me in a lift chair to try and get comfortable. Leo was a pleasure to deal with and Joyce was so nurturing and helpful. She put me in a chair that would be good for my back and showed me how to use it. Then they had Raymond deliver it a few hours later. I finally got a good nights sleep without being in intense pain for the first time in almost two weeks.They were all so helpful and compassionate and I am so happy with my new lift chair. My husband said he cant wait till i dont need it so he can use it! Wonderful store and staff.

My mother recently had surgery on her ankle and couldn’t walk. She’s 65 and the hospital only provided us with crutches. I went to Merrick Surgical and met Joyce, who was amazingly helpful. She showed me a knee scooter and and even recommended someone with great prices for a ramp rental. The price was great, I can’t think of anything negative. The level of service was better than I could’ve even expected!
Merrick pharmacy is by far the absolute best pharmacy that I have ever been to. Leo, the manager is amazingly helpful. You will not find customer service anywhere that is more outstanding than Merrick pharmacy and you will not find a nicer person than Leo. I called because I needed a device that he did not have. I highly recommend this store. They have so many things to help for people with limitations such as the elderly. I had no problem returning the safety rail for his toilet we bought that my Dad realized was not going to work for his issue and we went back and got the riser seat with built in rails that you put your own toilet seat and lid on top. It was extremely easy to install just as Joyce had told me. We had also been there before and Leo helped us as my Dad tested out a three wheeler rollator with brakes that he loves and works well around his small house. Their understanding of the trials of the elderly and their caregivers is very much appreciated.
Last month, I needed to replace two king-size beds with four twin-size hospital beds that could be raised and lowered. I spoke to Leo and went in the next week. He had the beds ordered, with all additional features we needed, and had them delivered and set up very promptly and efficiently. I was very impressed, and we are all very grateful. Thank you.
Today, I went to this Surgical Supply store and had the most amazing care from Leo. I came due to badly healing infected blisters and foot eczema wherein I was unable to wear a regular shoe. When I first arrive I was greeted by Leo explaining my situation. The strange thing after driving from Jamaica Queens to location in a rush to obtain relief 41min drive , I left my wallet. Leo immediately saw the urgent care need and he immediately said not to worry. He said this is the first time they ever did a cast away shoe, meaning providing a customer with a shoe without paying at that moment . I want to thank Leo for trusting that I would pay. As a Scientist I understood that he did not have to do this because this is but he did, thank you. He fitted me for shoe and said he will mail the bill. I will not forget how sincere and warm person he was and will recommend everyone I know to this location. I’m even going to return for compression stockings because I’m on my feet a lot and he and another person in store recommended. Thank you Leo!
Leo, Joyce and Maureen are the absolute best! My wife broke her foot 2 days before Christmas and was a wreck. They took such good care of us, calmed my wife down and got us what we needed. We will be back for any surgical supply needs.

A few weeks ago I began searching for a stand up reclining chair . After visiting several stores I finally went to Merrick Surgical Supplies & Home Care . After dealing with the staff there it was clear they were head and shoulders above all the others. They were able to answer all my questions and clearly were more knowledgeable than the others when it came to this product. The chair was actually made with the features I wanted and they kept me posted during the entire process. When it came to the delivery I was even more surprised that the owner (Leo) actually came himself to assist in the set up ! It is apparent that I will be using this establishment for all my needs !

Just purchased an adjustable bed for elderly parents. Leo and Joyce both very helpful and facilitated delivery as quickly as possible and removal of old bed. Have dealt with company before and am always happy with the help and the results.
I am so impressed with the products they carry. It is so much better to purchase products you can feel and tryout in person rather than reading lots of reviews online and keeping your fingers crossed that you will be satisfied with the stuff you order. My wife and I went to Merrick Surgical Supplies on May 13. Leo helped us obtain exactly what we needed. He did not push us to purchase anything that he felt was not needed. He was very professional and the prices of the items we needed were reasonable. I highly recommend this store.
I bought several things from them for my wife who had cancer. Their service is very nice but they have always been more expensive. However, yesterday my wife and I went in to buy special stockings for her swollen feet. They charged us $61.00! which I thought was expensive. I went home and checked on Amazon and a couple of other sites and they were higher than all...as much as double! Buyer beware, they rip you off! Never to return so I hope they enjoy the extra $30.00 they took me for. Be an educated consumer.
I must say Leo went above and beyond to help me in a frustrating situation. Needed an item that was not covered with him with my insurance. He helped me not only locate a surgical supply store that accepted my insurance but also called them for me, explained my insurance and the item I needed. Can you imagine shopping for a Birthday gift at a surgical supply retailer. Our good friend and attorney is having back surgery two days after his birthday and we thought what better than an item to assist him during rehab.Not knowing exactly what would be most beneficial, we turned to an expert . . . This store is the best of its kind. Andrea and Leo both are immensely knowledgable, helpful and courteous. They helped us find exactly what we needed, followed up with us, and offered very prompt delivery. They have by far the best selection of products anywhere in the area, and the staff has decades of experience. We drove from Westchester, and it was absolutely worth the drive time and the tolls. I can not find the words to express how high the level of customer service is here. Back in January I needed to get a med lift chair for my mother who has bad swelling in her legs and a diabetic foot ulcer.The lady of the phone (God forgive me for forgetting her name) asked me a few questions and walked me thru step by step how to navigate their website. She helped me pick out the right chair based on moms medical needs and had it delivered the SAME DAY!The chair helped improve moms medical condition and was super comfortable and attractive looking. Well worth the money spent.Fast foward a few months the chair broke. They came to service the chair the SAME DAY!The chair was beyond repair. Merrick surgical offered to give us a loaner chair while the negociated with the manufacturer to replace the chair.I did nothing. MERRICK MEDICAL SUPPLY picked up the old chair and delivered a new one FREE OF CHARGE. They did all the foot work. I didnt have to argue with them or contact the manufacturer they had all the warranty info on file.I wish more businesses operated like this one. Friendly staff. very punctual . Called to get some information regarding mobility scooters. The woman who answered the phone was rude off the bat. I get that it was almost 5pm and she would be closing soon but she has horrible customer service. Once I was able to inquire about battery replacement and obtaimed the information they only sell them, she rudely told me she could give me a number to someone who might help. She gave me the number and told me to tell this man Ray she told me to call, when I asked her to give me the full name of her business again she said it as if I was bothering her then next thing I heard was good luck click. Little did she know I was in need of not only a replacement battery but 3 scooters!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere. Merrick Surgical needs to give some crash courses on customer service and professionalism.

LEO is a great salesman but unfortunately thats about it including a filthy smock!went in for surgical stockings and left with a pair that he said if they dont fit, bring them back and he will get the right size!called and said that they didnt fit and he said id have to eat the expense!theres nothing I hate worse that a man who doesnt keep his word and gets me riled up..I got a refund after a heated discussion and a promise from me never to call there again1I wouldnt call there if I was on my deathbed!He asked me to post a review on GOOGLE!I wish it could be positive !

Went in for a walker and when ready to purchase I mentioned that I was purchasing it for someone on Medicaid and she practically recoiled and told me -as she was walking away-that there was nothing here she could help me with. She tried to make me feel less than, but while that didnt work it wasnt the decent way to behave.

2020-10-27Its been one year since Merrick Surgical supply delivered my moms chair so I have a full year of experience with Leo and his wonderful crew. Weve had absolutely no issues at all yet had a couple of chair function questions that Leo responded to with absolute perfection. Furthermore, when mom dropped her remote in a pail of water, the situation was already remedied by Leo even before I got home. I never even had to deal with it! When first purchasing from them, I was nervous, as mom could not come to test out the chair. Leo had me test out several chairs in the store, and was by my side helping/assisting me the entire time. Try doing that though a 1-800 number chair company! I learned so much about chairs, and was comfortable that mom would like the one that I had purchased. 2020-10-03Due to a chronic illness, my wife was in need of a scooter. Merrick surgical supply was highly recommended to us, So we decided to go. The stores proprietor, Mr Leo Levine, was a wealth of information regarding the scooter we would need. This man is the genuine article; a throwback to what real customer service used to be. He made sure we knew how to operate the scooter and took the time to show us. This is a busy man who made business personal. His store is well stocked with many items to meet many needs. So I am a happy and grateful customer and rest assured we will be back!

2019-11-12This is the dealI walked into Merrick Medical Surgical Supplies and Home Care for a much needed hard to find piece of durable medical equipment. After speaking with Leo and explaining my situation this gentlemen spent roughly two hours trying to find what I needed through various means, and it seems as though he did. He was very friendly and very helpful in seeing that I was in need of a special piece of equipment that I could not find anywhere else. I was very impressed with his persistence in helping me. The customer service he offered was excellent.If you are looking for a surgical supply store for equipment, and deal with Leo you should in fact experience what I describe above.and wont be disappointed.
