Ray is super thorough throughout his home inspection and explains everything in detail. No stone goes unturned with Ray!! He is knowledgeable and knows the construction business well. I wouldn’t trust anyone else doing my home inspections. I will deff be using Ray for future home inspections and would deff recommend to friends and family!

Ray helped us with our first house three years ago, and we couldnt imagine using anyone else when we started looking for a new home this summer. Ray is professional, incredibly thorough and will explain everything to you in a manner you can understand. He turned around his report to us very quickly, which contains photos of any issues which is very helpful. If I could give more stars, I would.
Ray was recommended by a family friend and I can say... he does not disappoint! Ray was prompt, on time and very meticulous. He did two home inspections for me and pointed out some things I would have not noticed myself. He does a very thorough job and detailed write up. I used Ray for a home inspection back in the Fall of 2018. He was recommended by a friend and turned out to be a good choice. He was very knowledgeable, took his time to explain things and answered many questions. His report was very professional and even more detailed than I expected. So 3 years later I find myself in need of a copy my home inspection. It was saved on my phone but at some point got deleted. So on a long shot I texted Ray and asked if by some chance he still had a copy. He responded back to me within minutes and emailed me a copy later in the evening. Ray is amazing. He was very thorough in his inspection down to every detail. While he points out every minor/major problems, his objective is not to put you off a good deal, My husband and I became more educated on what to look out for and how to maintain things on a continuous basis. I feel very comfortable moving forward with the purchase knowing that I’m aware of little things to fix or get fixed and know what to expect down the lane
Being a first time buyer, you want to make sure the house youre going into is safe. Ray made me feel very comfortable when he was explaining everything thing he notices. He is very knowledgeable and confident in his work. With the information, he provided to me I was able to discuss it to my wife and she was able to understand as if she was there with us through out the inspection. This was the BEST Experience i ever had with an inspection. RAY is the Best, and he has a great personality. He checked everything. He definitely was very meticulous LOL! Which is a great thing. We had a great experience with Meticulous. This was my first time purchasing a home and I needed someone I could trust to do the job well. Ray made us feel at ease with the amount of knowledge he had about home inspections and laws. He made sure to explain EVERY detail of the house and answered all of our questions. If you are genuinely interested in what is wrong with the house that youre about to spend hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars on, hire Ray. We actually hired Ray 2x because after his first inspection, we were convinced that the house we had a preliminary bid on had too many problems. So we hired Meticulous for an inspection of a second house. Ray found issues in the second house as well, but much more manageable. If I were a seller, I wouldnt want to see Ray show up. His inspections are worth every penny -- they may help you avoid a money pit of a home.

I highly recommend Ray Wilson at Meticulous Home Inspection service. His home inspections are extremely thorough, checking every part of the home from the roof to the basement. He finds all current problems or possible future problems which may arise. Ray also takes the future homeowners through the home to explain what he is looking for and explains how to address serious problems. My wife and I asked Ray to look at two homes and he saved us from buying a home which would have needed a lot of work. It is hard to find someone who is as dedicated to doing the most quality work possible!

Ray was as his name says, very meticulous with our co-op inspection. He brought attention to all of the issues regardless of how small they may seem. He was funny and knowledgeable and with his insight, I was able to know what to request our co-op to have remedied before our move. Would definitely recommend.

Ray was very efficient. He showed up early and walked me through every step of the process of my inspection. They even use an outside exterminator to provide a real termite inspection, not just check off a box that they didnt see any termites. He was able to provide info for a pool inspector which I greatly appreciated. I was able to move forward with my home purchase with all the facts.

I was about to purchase a house this week and decided to cal a home inspector. I was referred to Ray at Meticulous Home Inspectors and I gave him a time and date to meet me at the house. When I arrived at the house Ray was already inspecting the outside of the home. He went on the roof, into the basement and into every hidden crawl space this house had. He found many problems throughout the home some small and some very concerning. I never would have known the house had aluminum clad wiring or that the main structure of the house was propped up with shims. The roof was leaking into the attic and many other issues were found. After the inspection was over I received a detailed report itemizing these issues, with back up photos no less and was able to negotiate a better price for the home. Even the homeowner had the house inspected prior to selling it so he would no of any problems and his inspector gave him a two page report which was missing 75% of the things Ray found. So in a nut shell I highly advise any person looking to buy a home to call; Ray at Meticulous Home Inspectors.

Not like my first home inspection( who the inspector spend most of the time talking about how he was a inspector of the town of oyster bay and not even flush the toilet, forget about going on the roof) so dont be ridiculous you know the rest.

He was such a pleasure to work with and made the inspection process from booking the appointment to explaining in great detail what he was doing to the professional report with pictures (received within one day). As a first time buyer, he really made the extra effort to note what items needed to be addressed and talk about his experiences at other homes as well. He was thorough and did not rush through anything. He’s extremely easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor that kept things light. Would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to know exactly what they’re getting themselves into. 5 stars!

Not only was he significantly more cost effective, but he did an extremely thorough job and more importantly, educated us on the 1925 house we are purchasing. 2022-07-06I had Ray do an inspection for me June 2022. I have used other inspectors on other properties I tried to buy and let me tell you, none even come close to Ray in how detailed and professional he is. I feel ripped off with other inspectors after seeing how well Ray does his job. When youre buying a home, you want to know every issue possible about that home that may arise after you move in. You want an inspector that realtors tremble at the sight of. No inspection can be too in depth as the sellers realtor had said to me. In depth is what you want!You want someone in your corner who isnt going to sugar coat negative findings in the presence of a seller. Specifically in my case, Ray found a huge, and I mean HUGE structural issue that myself and the seller overlooked and absolutely wouldve cost me a fortune to fix myself. Him finding it meant that I was able to bring it to the sellers attention and have it fixed by a contractor before closing. This likely wouldve cost me over ten thousand dollars had it been left to get fixed after I moved in. That few hundred it costs to get your prospective home inspected will potentially save you a fortune down the road. Even if the home is new, or its a flip (especially if its a flip), it doesnt matter, you NEED and inspection.Bottom line, not all inspectors have experience or the know how to check for everything. Ray does. I genuinely feel like he could double his price and it would still be worth it. He even brings a separate licensed termite inspector with him at no additional cost. If youre looking for an inspector, look no further, call meticulous.

2021-11-12I just did a home inspection and I’m so grateful that I hired Ray. I was extremely impressed by the quality of his work and how detailed he was. He was patient and professional and taught me so much. He has a ton of experience and a background as a construction worker, so I very much valued his expertise and knowledge. His written report was comprehensive and included pictures. I would never hire anyone else but Ray if I had to do a home inspection in the future. The rates were very reasonable.
