Paula was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She walked me through all of the available options for my mattress and we selected the best mattress and foundation for me. It was a pleasure working with her. The store is neat clean and accommodating.

Our experience at Metro mattress was a very good one! The sales person was professional and amiable . She quickly understood exactly the type of mattress we were interested in. Having tested it in the store, she arranged for it to be sent from Syracuse and delivered to me the next day. We were extremely happy with the price and the service! Stopped in today to upgrade from our current mattress. Ours was just to firm. We have hip pain, and back pain. We were greeted by Paula. We told her our issues. Paula was very knowledgeable about our needs. Of course like any good sales person, Paula took us to the best one. It was probably much more than we thought we would spend. But we tried a lot more. But after Paula explained the pros and cons of each. We decided that a good night sleep, without pain is worth it. So we did go with the first one. This was not forced on us. But Paulas knowledge was made the difference. We do have a 30 day trial. So until then I will reserve judgement on the mattress, but not Paula. Over all a very pleasant experience.
Serg was awesome. My husband and I walked in fairly late and Serg still took the time to show us around and ended up staying late to close the sale. He was very pleasant, asked all of the right questions, explained everything thoroughly, and helped us pick a mattress that was perfect for my husband and I. The pricing was reasonable and we are both pleased with the product and service.
Adam took a long time to very patiently help us find the mattress that is best for us. We went in thinking that we were only looking and left as the happy owners of a new mattress.
Spencer was great! He took the time to show us different mattresses and explained the benefits of each. He never pressured us to make any purchase or pushed us toward any particular brand. He gave us time alone to talk things over and let us make the decision as to what mattress best fit our needs. He was very knowledgeable and a friendly guy, which resulted in this being a very positive purchase experience.
Much to my amazement I spent almost 2 hours at the Albany store today. I had spoken to Serg on the phone prior to my visit. Serg was there when I dropped in this afternoon. He understands beds and his customers needs. After asking me about my sleep habits and physical issues we began by having me try a variety beds. We narrowed down what felt good to me. Im sure we tried a dozen beds. Serg was respectful of my budget. After going back and forth trying beds I found one that suited me! All good. I had a very positive, customer experience today. Great experience! Our salesperson Paula was very knowledgeable and helped us through the various different types and styles of mattresses until we found out perfect fit! The store had strict COVID protocols that made us feel very much at ease.
My wife and I worked with Serg, he walked us through a brief educational process on what to look for and in the quality and workmanship of a mattress. He stuck with us and was thorough in answering all of our questions and addressed any and all concerns we had through the process. He doesn’t just exemplify the little red book of sales but, he also understands the value proposition of what he sells every day. We’d be happy to send anyone his way.

The store manager was extremely helpful. She was friendly and very resourceful. She called around to several stores in the region to secure a box spring that I needed. She was able to secure a similar model in her store and also sold me medal bed frame. He help saved me time and a lot of driving around. I would highly recommend metro mattress and the store manager when you’re shopping for a mattress. She went the second mile to help me.
My fiancé and I visited Metro Mattress in Albany and we were helped by J. (J Dot) and he was simply amazing! Extremely knowledgeable. I usually have buyers remorse after I make a large purchase but I didn’t this time. J. Explained everything clearly and really catered to our needs to find us the perfect mattress. I spoke to Jenn over the phone and then went into the store that night. She was informative, very helpful, and generous with her time. I needed a mattress right away. She showed me a variety of mattresses and she had me lie down on several mattresses to find the right one for me. I found one that I absolutely loved and she was able to have it delivered in less than two days. She was very knowledgeable and took her time with me. I appreciate all she did for me as I was in desperate need for a mattress. It is nice to have such wonderful customer service and a person who cares about not only the product they sell but also about the product you are going to receive. I absolutely love my mattress and I have not slept so well in years. Jenn was wonderful as were the guys who delivered my mattress. They were efficient and knew what they were doing. Paula was attentive, helpful, & professional as we shopped through Covid. Precautions were taken to keep the store sanitized and safe. We arrived early & she opened the store ahead of time. We were not rushed and she showed us many options. This is the fourth mattress I’ve bought recently from Metro. I never felt rushed or pressured, and the staff values the importance of choosing well.

Just purchased my second mattress from Metro. The first purchase was 10 years ago, and just like the first experience, today was no different. I spent a total of 1 1/2 hours with the most patient and knowledgeable salesperson, Chris. He allowed me to safely lay on several mattresses until I made my selection. He wasnt pushy in any way. He knew exactly what to say to help me select my first Tempurpedic mattress, versus a pillow top. Really, my decision was made in 15 minutes; the rest of the time was just chatting it up and digging the rain. If youre in the market for a new bed, go see Chris.
The orientation and the demostration was good but when I wanted to go to another store, or to get a cheaper price or to just think about it, didnt sit well with the store personel... if I want to make any decision, Is my right to do so. Dont like to be push to do things in a hurry, specially when it is not the only store in the USA. I wouldnt impose my self or anything on nobody, never. Next time let the customer deside plz.
My wife and I were looking for a new mattress. The staff person was a helpful lady who took time to get our needs clearly established. As a result we have been able to order a new mattress, with delivery set for Thursday AM.
Paula helped us pick out a new mattress and box spring today, and she was excellent. We visited three stores, Metro Mattress was our 2nd stop and although I found a mattress I really liked at a good price, I wanted to look around a little more just to be 110% confident I was making the best selection. After visiting the third store for 10 mins, I was sure that I wanted to go back to Paula and make my purchase so that’s exactly what we did. She was direct, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Her associate whose name is currently escaping me (apologies!!) was also very nice & helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a new mattress come talk to Paula.
My experience with Steve Martin from your Clifton Park store exceeded my expectations. I had some very specific needs and Steve guided me to the right product. When after the sale, we ran into a couple of glitches, Steve was right there to make the changes and adjustments I needed. He was responsive, accommodating and always cheerful to deal with. Metro Mattress is very fortunate to have Steve as a sales consultant.

5 stars for the sales experience & customer service (2 stars for delivery/removal services):Our salesperson, Andrew, was great while we were in the store trying out beds. He was understanding of our unique situation, took time to explain different types of mattresses, and made sure that we were at a comfortable price level. We ended up purchasing 2 mattresses and received 2 free pillows as well as a discount on other bedding. I recommend buying from Metro Mattress.Updated: When removing my old box spring, the delivery people dragged it out part of the way and scratched my hardwood floor over several feet from my bedroom down the hallway. But, someone from the delivery center called the day after I posted my original review about arranging to have the floors fixed, so Im impressed with the customer service!
Paula provided exceptional customer service during my mattress purchase. In an era of mattresses in a box, it is a relief to still be able to physically feel your bed especially with my very bad back. But with COVID restrictions and concerns, I wasnt sure an in store visit would be best. Well, I called her before I moved from downstate and she put me at ease over the phone before I even made my big move to Albany. I called her when I was settled, we arranged a timed appointment due to my personal COVID concerns and to my relief, she was just as conscientious as I was and took every precaution to make me feel safe and comfortable while making such a big purchase. In store, she put me at ease with her professionalism and exceptional customer service. I walked out beyond happy with my purchase and we received our mattress 2 days later! Amazon cannot even expedite delivery like that these days!! The delivery crew was prompt, courteous and also complying with COVID restrictions. Receiving it was as much a breeze as purchasing it. Nice informative presentation of the technological advances in mattresses. We werent rushed and had ample time to compare various products. We spent a little more than we planned but well never need to purchase another mattress.Update: On time delivery and quick installation. Alex & John did a good job in spite of difficult access to an upstairs location. They picked up all the packing and carted away the old bed set.
Jordan was awesome, incredibly helpful and very patient! We had a good idea of a mattress we had tried out previously, but after listening to what we were looking for in a mattress, Jordon had us test several others. We ended up going with something completely different! Very happy with the financing options as well.

Metro Mattress was our first and only stop needed when we set out that day to find a new mattress. The associate that helped us out was super friendly and very informative, and at the times when she didnt have an answer for one of our crazy questions, she went directly to her supervisor to get us that answer. We received all the information we needed, bought a terrific new queen sized mattress for a price within our budget, and were set up for delivery within the next two days. Very pleasant experience all around, thanks again guys!

Great service. The adjustable beds are best and successful in being useful for those like myself who have lower back challenges and during the months Im in my scooter. This bed is so amazing in helping me slide in and out of the bed unlike the hard bed frames that dont adjust, for the challenges any of us may have as the bed in return provides comfort for our pain. I would recommend the adjustable bed for any of you that are from serving in wars, challenges or in a wheelchair and scooter. Thank you. God Bless.
The staff at Metro Mattress were friendly and informative. I was originally skeptical of a tempurpedic mattress but they won me over. I have been very satisfied with our purchase. In addition, they are child friendly. We had our toddler in tow and they offered her a drink of water and coloring book to keep her occupied as we were filling out the paperwork and finalizing our purchase.
Zachary, the sales associate who helped my girlfriend and I choose a mattress was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The difference in experience and expertise in the sales associate at metro mattress versus a general furniture store makes a huge difference. We truly felt that this genteman cared more about our quality of sleep than selling us the most expensive product(s). An experience we found at most other retailers. I would highly recommend this store for individuals looking to buy a bed.
Customer service was great and representative was very friendly and responsive to what we were looking for. He also worked within our price point very well. My only critique would be to ask price point a little earlier as we laid on some mattresses that we really liked but were WAY out of budget.
This was my first time shopping with Metro Mattress and I was more than pleased by the level of customer service that was provided. The sales representatives were extremely knowledgeable which made it easy to decide which mattress was best for me. Ive been sleeping much better since getting the mattress which confirms I made the right choice, both in the mattress and in going to Metro Mattress in the first place.

Service was good, although a bit of a hard sell at first to buy an expensive bed. Once we told them our budget they helped us find something that met our needs. We also bought sheets for the motorized bed and had an issue with the first sheet set, but they upgraded us and the second set seems to be much better quality. I suggest buying at least the middle grade if youre going for sheets. The low end ones literally shredded within a week of use.
Josh and Paula were excellent to deal with for the purchase of a mattress set for my child. *** Unfortunately, I have to update this review to report that while the in store experience was solid, the follow through was not. The paperwork was not processed properly and Josh and Paula failed to schedule us for delivery. When I tried to confirm the delivery with the store the day before they had allegedly scheduled it, I was brushed off and told to wait for a call or just look it up on the website. Chris at the Wold Road store deserves special recognition for being unwilling to answer my questions or address the problem on three separate phone calls and for ultimately casting all of the blame on his colleague (Josh) leaving it to him to fix the mistake. Josh acknowledged his mistake and is fixing it. I appreciate that. Chris passed the buck and left his colleague out to dry, that is inexcusable.
My husband and I recently purchased a mattress and movable base from the Wolf Road Metro Mattress store and we couldnt be happier with our new ProAdapt King Size mattress. Dom spent about 2 hours with us asking us questions and showing us various mattresses in order to find out the best one for us. Paula also was there to assist us and answer questions and with their help and patience - we found our perfect mattress. Never once did we feel pressured to purchase a mattress, Dom and Paula just professionally and courteously helped us to find that one perfect mattress for us. At the delivery- well we couldnt have asked for a better delivery person than Dwayne! He managed to get up our long country driveway with his truck and then proceeded to take our our old mattress and set up our new one. He was friendly, professional and very polite. He made the delivery experience an enjoyable one. We will definitely be recommending Metro Mattress, and the Wold Road store in Colonie specifically, to all of our friends and family. We also hope that if we ever need to get anything delivered in the future - that we are lucky enough to have Dwayne assigned to our delivery! Thank you Metro Mattress for a great experience.

The purchasing aspect was good, salesperson, Paula directed me to what appeared to be the best choice. Delivery was when expected, on time,quick and neat. Now, a fee weeks later I am wondering if I did get the right mattress as my aims have not been achieved. 1. My lower back is stiff and painful when I wake up, possibly because the mattress is too firm and 2. Because of the latter, it is hard to fall asleep as pressure points are more noticeable than before.
The sales manager Adam greets the customer with a welcome smile. Adam takes the time to explain to the customer the different type of mattress that would be a benefit to the customer needs to sleep comfortable.

You can save a couple $100 if you go to old brick. My girlfriend and I worked with Paula. Before we even got halfway in the door she was right there already talking to us. For something that is supposed to be a laid back kind of experience, it was super pushy and awkward. She clearly just cared about her commission. We asked if we could discuss our purchase over lunch and come back. She replied if you walk out the door you wont find a better deal. I wont be able to save you any money either if you choose to leave and come back. when we finally made our purchase and set up a date for delivery, she wrote down my number wrong, handed me all of her own paperwork, and messed up the delivery time. I will say the 2 delivery guys were awesome and so is the mattress. Other than that, it was just a bad experience.
This is a great location to buy from. The Sales man Zach was awesome. He gave me honest opinions on everything and understood what I was looking for in a price range. He knew my price range and it went great. He didn’t try talking me into a $10k bed. I am very happy with this location and will buy from there again. I couldn’t ask for more.
Very good service. Very helpful looking at the mattress we had which broke down after a few years. Very accommodating in taking care of us through the warrant-tee process. Had a new mattress in two days (could have been one day if we were available). New mattress appears to be all they said it would be. Now lets see how the years ahead work out. We went in last Saturday just to get educated about the market on a new bed and Jen on Wolf Rd was so friendly and knowledgeable that we bought a bed that day! It was delivered the following day, on a Sunday, and the delivery service men were knowledgeable and professional. We love our new bed and our new adjustable foundation!
My girl and I have been looking for a bed for some time now, went into Metro and didnt buy anything. The sales woman was very pushy and right as we said no thank you and were going to leave, she offered to check how much I could be financed. Still turned down the offer and left. Not even a week later I got a credit card in the mail from Metro with the amount I could have been financed for. Which is odd since I never signed anything and just wanted to see how much I could have been financed if I chose to purchase. I reached out to Metro and they said this is completely normal.. Avoid this place!
Prices are a little high. Customer service was wonderful though. I had dom wait on me he was nice curtious easy to relate to and very helpful. It was a little pricey but after complaining about that he threw in tons of freebies which I am happy about but it does show how much of a markup you have on the mattresses that you can give away 500 dollars worth of sides and still make money. Dom was not pushy he gave me several options. Overall he made the experience enjoyable. Thanks Dom!

This place is awful. Staff is way too pushy! Customer service goes out the window when you feel bombarded by pressure. They have great beds at a decent price but go somewhere else if youre looking to explore options before making such a big purchase! Ended up buying our bed from Bobs simply because of the no pressure attitude. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy!
I ordered a mattress at the Wolf Road store in Colonie NY on the day the stores were suddenly closing because of COVID-19. I ordered a queen-size but the order was entered wrong and a full-size was delivered. The driver couldn’t exchange it at the store and couldn’t take it back to the warehouse to exchange it for the right one because everything was shutting down, so we were stuck with a mattress that was the wrong size. When the store re-opened, I went in to exchange the queen-size mattress cover I had bought (to go with the correct mattress) for a full-size. I mentioned the error in the order several times to the clerk, who was the same person who had entered the order incorrectly; I expected that she would at least apologize for the error and the inconvenience of having had the wrong size mattress delivered, but no apology was forthcoming. She said nothing, took no responsibility. That lack of customer service will make me think twice about shopping at Metro Mattress again.
My wife and I after surviving the flood in schoharie went to Metro Mattress. They sold us a Trump Queen size. They said it was the best bed they had. At this time we had been sleeping in our car for over two weeks. My son had us move in with him as he had an apartment here in Albany. MISTAKE. Everyone was rude and obnoxious. The bed was around 1,000. Said it would last the rest of our lives. Well it did for my wife. I wish I could let you all see this thing.Its a disgrace. There are so many sunken spots you cant even roll over. You might have to climb out but thats about it. Sleazy. Maybe now its different but go with one eye open and watch your back. Im looking to once more get a new mattress but not from these people. Good Luck!
I had the pleasure of being waited on by a young lady by the name of Paula Sweeny, I do believe. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and very funny. She took the time to listen to me, even when I vented, without interruption. She told me stories, I told her stories, we laughed and laughed. Im going to recommend this store and her to everyone I know, which isnt alot, but more than some.She never once rushed me, which was a pleasure, because sometimes I dilly-dally, and get lost in my mind. The store was clean, and she was very respectful of me. She also recommended financing as a means, when in our conversations, I mentioned I was just scraping by.She never even raised an eyebrow when I told her I was basically just window shopping, still willing to walk and talk mattresses, mattresses and more mattresses. I had heard so many horror stories about mattress shopping that I was honestly intimidated to go anywhere, but it was time for a new bed. Nothing scary about my experience at metro mattress. Paula was extremely patient and helpful.. Ive had my new tempurpedic for a couple weeks now and I sleep through the night better than I ever have. The best part is no more pain from my my old bed. This metro mattress doesnt carry click clacks anymore and I went in there to see if I could get a top memory foam for it unfortunately they do not carry them anymore. I dont know who does and I would love to know if anybody knows who has a click clock wood storage underneath the upgraded futon which is a click clack I dont know who does but the woman was very informative there and she was very friendly and they have a large selections of beds and pillows in such forth

You hear this place is so great in their commercials, hopefully this is true about other locations, Paula NEEDS TO BE FIRED! Shes pushy and overly aggressive, I felt personally threatened by the way she held us hostage with a fake phone call to her manager. I do not recommend this LOCATION to anyone.

They tell you have to buy a mattress cover for a hundred dollars in case youre not satisfied you can return it but they dont tell you on the other end that theres $100 fee to get you a new mattress delivered to you. And only once and the mattress you switch to has to be same price or higher not lower price

Paula Sweeney did an excellent job I arrived in the morning looking for a specific mattress from there she listened showed me what I wanted to see but then took the time to show me which kinds of mattresses I did not like and then once that was done we went back to the one that I really wanted and then we discussed finance details and while she was writing up the paperwork I took 15 minutes and laid on each of the two mattresses that I wanted in the kind of firmess and finally decided on the one excellent excellent excellent perfect choice to shop If there were more than 5 stars Paula and Metro Mattress deserve more

2022-03-10Today I was helped by Mike B. As soon as I walked in he was ready to help and asked me what my needs were. He took the time to make sure I found the right mattress in my price range. The whole time he made me feel as though he was helping me find the best deal for me. I went in only looking for pricing, but was so satisfied I left purchasing a mattress and box spring. Overall very positive experience.

2022-03-30We had a very good experience dealing with Metro Mattress on Wolf Road in Albany, NY. on March 25, 2022. We worked with the sales representative Mike B. He was patient and informative. We found him to be someone who took the time to listen to our individual requests, after which, he then made his best recommendations. After a while of trying out various floor model mattresses, we felt ready to make a purchase. Mike helped us with all the details required, as well as set up for delivery the following week. All went exceedingly smooth....the delivery people were equally helpful, careful, and accommodating. We are now in the initial trial period with our new mattress. So far, things are working out well. 2022-06-05My wife and I were told free delivery on 06/04/22, the day we purchased our bed, an hour later I received a phone call from Metro Mattress and they told me that they couldnt deliver our bed until Friday the 10th, I told them that wouldnt work for us because we will be on vacation, so then they said I could pick the mattress up myself at a different location and they would have the adjustable base delivered on 06/05/22, I said that would be fine, Well, this morning 06/05/22, I received a phone call from Metro Mattress that the adjustable base couldnt be delivered because their truck broke down and that the base was coming from Syracuse so they couldnt do anything to help me but apologize and offer free gifts, I told then that was unacceptable and that I wanted my Mattress and base today as promised or I wanted my money back and would take my business somewhere else. Well 10 minutes later I received a call back from Metro Mattress and by some miracle they had my Mattress and base in a different store only a few miles away. I probably will never deal with this company again, was an awful experience.

2022-03-21What a great experience. This was our third stop on our mattress hunt but should, and from now on will be, our first. Adam was great. I walked in looking for something very basic for a guest room. Then walked out 15 minutes later with a delivery date set for tomorrow. Thanks for the help and youve made a customer for life.

2022-04-19Changed this review to 3 stars after receiving the bed. We were told the legs on the frame were adjustable and when it was delivered they would put it at our desired height. This was not the case and the bed is way to high. When we called our salesperson Jas she stated that we would have to pay for shorter legs for the frame but of course did not deny that she told us it was adjustable. After spending over $4,000 on a mattress and frame you think they would be more helpful. On the other hand, we are very happy with the mattress itself, love a tempurpedic.

2021-09-10Great showroom with knowledgeable, low pressure, staff. Adam was particularly helpful with feature descriptions and product comparisons. There is plenty to read online, but 45 min at the store with side by side ability to feel and hear about the details is the way to go. I’m very happy with my mattress choice and glad I was able to make an informed decision. Thanks Adam!
