Had a positive shopping experience. Was offered good advice, didnt push too hard to make a sale but helped us make a decision. Diana and Pablo were very professional and helpful. The delivery men were efficient and friendly and followed covid protocols(which I dont care about but some people do). Product was delivered in good condition and meets all expectations. Would recommend shopping here.
The staff was extremely helpful in determining the firmness of the mattress I would need. They worked within my price range and delivery would be within 2 days, due to the holiday weekend. I will highly recommend this store. The staff will take the time to find what will work best for you.
Pablo was by far the most courteous, knowledgeable salesperson we’ve ever dealt with. We started off “just looking” for a new mattress, but were quickly convinced by Pablo and his expertise that a new mattress was exactly what we needed. He was never pushy or made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend seeing him to anyone considering a new mattress!
Unfortunately I am editing my review because I had my fiance take a day off Thuraday to wait for the $7000 mattress I purchased. I waited today for a phone call until 835pm to tell me what time delivery was only to never recieve a phone call and then be told that the spot was filled and I wont be getting a deliver now u til Friday. But have to wait again until tomorrow for a phone call to find out the time for Friday when we both now are unavailable. The girls were very nice and helpful at the time of purchase but unfortunately this is very poor customer service and I wouldnt go back. I hope the mattress is worth it. Because I wasnt even offered a set of sheets for the inconvenience.
This was BY FAR, the BEST shopping experience Ive had purchasing a bed. Nichole was OUTSTANDING! So warm & personable & very, very knowledgeable. She never made us feel unwelcome and went out of her way to answer all of our questions and make sure that we purchased the right bed for our familym she gave us the impression that it was not at all about the sale but more importantly it was about our purchase and our continue to experience with that bed. We recently visited a metro mattress and we were looking for a good mattress at a good price. We spoke with Joe who was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We walked out 45 minutes later with a great mattress for a great price being delivered tomorrow. He was very nice to us and I recommend you go talk to him.
I had to come in twice to purchase our bed. First I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Joe. He was very helpful and explained the differences in the beds and showed me around. unfortunately I didn’t purchase a bed as I needed my wife’s approval. I went back the following day with my wife and had the pleasure of working with Nichole. She was very helpful pointing us in the direction of mattress that we both would like. We ended up purchasing a bed we were both very pleased with.

We were long overdue for a new mattress. My husband and I waited for the Columbus Day sale at Metro Mattress and got a great deal on a king size. We are very happy. We purchased a memory foam mattress with power adjustable base with vibration modes. The gentleman helping us was very helpful in helping us pick the best mattress for our budget. Our Salesman was extremely helpful last Tuesday. He really spent quality time with us discussing the mattresses and giving us adequate time to see which we liked best. Even when another customer entered the store I felt that he divided his time equally and gave both of us the attention we needed. My husband and I couldnt be happier with the service both in the store and the delivery. Being able to track the delivery was a great feature too. The woman (Nichole) that sold my my mattress was very knowledgeable. She took her time explaining the differences between brands comfort levels etc. I told her what I was looking for and replacing. She went through and after trying several mattresses I found exactly what I was looking for.
My daughter needed a new mattress and we had no idea where to even start. Her room is upstairs in an attic space with low ceilings and a tricky staircase to navigate a mattress up. Nichole was so helpful in showing us all the options we had to get a bed that would work for now and well into the future. Delivery was fast, they were friendly and efficient (and didn’t complain once about the stairs!). My daughter is so happy! This experience really made our weekend!
Joe is the one who worked with us. Through conversation in their beautiful showroom I learned that he was the Store Manager. I was impressed of his knowledge of mattresses. Theres so much to know. He made excellent recommendations based on our sleeping styles and positions. Our mattress is being delivered on Friday around my daily schedule. I feel very relieved that the entire experience was handled in a timely fashion that made it very enjoyable. He even went so far as to offer us some tea or coffee, which we gladly accepted. Went into the store a few weeks back just to look around. I talked to Joe and he was excellent. Got the information I needed and left. Was not ready to purchase yet and was not in anyway pressured to buy that night (which is the most important thing for me). I went back a week later ready to purchase, Joe was not there, he happened to be off that day. I ended up dealing with John who was just as good as Joe! My boyfriend and I needed a new mattress in the worst way but with my boyfriend being a larger guy and me being petite, we were having trouble finding the right mattress for us. My wife & I came in a few weeks ago to look at some beds, ours was way past old and it was time to find a new one. We were greeted by the manager, Joe who was very thorough and understood what we needed. I wasnt looking to spend a whole lot and honestly didnt know what to expect, but he had us trying out different beds in our budget and made it very easy for us to decide on which was perfect. We ended up going w/ a Tempurpedic and couldnt be happier. Check them out, these guys know what theyre doing.
Would put 0 stars if possible. Went in the New Hartford location to get a new bed because my significant other and I both have bad backs and needed something comfortable. We went with a a bed that we couldnt sleep in. Went in to have it exchanged for something else. We were given 3 different prices before it was done. Not very professional in my opinion. You shouldnt quote a price unless youre sure but we went with it anyway even though it was more than we wanted. So, they come to deliver it... and set the bed on the back of the truck where its dirty and it starts to fall. The bed is not fully wrapped. My boyfriend grabbed it so it wouldnt fall in the mud. The drivers still let it hit the ground. I get a call at work with a picture of it being muddy. I sent the picture to the salesperson. At first we were told theyd give a $50 refund. Really? 5 grand and I get a $50 refund on it. I didnt accept. We just wanted a bed that wasnt stained now. So, the salesperson says itll be swapped out. But the bed never came. The regional supervisor says I can only get the refund back on the original cover we bought so we can do the 30 day comfort guarantee. Didnt even get that. You should not lie to your customers!!! We ended up paying hundreds more than we were originally told and never got the replacement we were told was coming. I will be going further with this as I have every message from the salesperson. I would not recommend this company!!!!!!!!!!!
I read a few reviews that said this place wasnt pretty good. After being to a few other places and not liking the sales people or the vibe I got from them, I stopped in for a visit. First, Ive got to say that this place looks leaps and bounds above anywhere else I went. It was super clean, lit very well and the beds were immaculate. Other places had mattresses with dirt stains and discoloration which made me not want to lay on any beds. The sales person (John) that helpped me was very friendly, which Ive got to admit, I prejudged him and thought I had gotten a shady sales person. As it turned out I was wrong. He was in tune with what I was looking for and was not pushy at all. He educated us on our options and I never knew there was so much to bedding. The wife and I felt comfortable lying on the beds that he showed us. We made him work. We probably tried 10 beds or so. He was perfectly accommodating and professional and even stayed late to ensure we were taken care of 100%. The special finamcing helpped us in deciding as our bed was more than we planned on spending- but with the financing option, payments were very affordable. Weve never slept better than now. 100% recomend Metro Mattress. Make sure to try the pillows! OMG the pillows!!
I purchased four Simmons beauty test mattresses and then went online and found them 100 cheaper( each piece). What a rip off. Cancelling my order and never shopping there again. Buyer beware.

Delivery drivers are very courteous and you cant beat having a whole year to sleep on a bed to see if you like it. Highly recomend. A+++

After reading some of the reviews online I decided to take a look at what they had. I recently moved to the area on a promotion and needed a bed stat. The 2 gentlemen that helped out were very accommodating. I wanted memory foam and they had it. Simple, no pressure. Delivery was fast. Thank you so much Metro!!
Stopped a few places while searching for the perfect bed. My back ached constantly on my old bed, a $1000 King size memory foam bed that Inhad for only 3 years. Let me tell you- cheap memory foam beds are good for two years tops. I paid $1000 for the last one and spent considerably more on this last purchase. The reson being, is the one year comfort guarantee that Metro offers. If i didnt like the feeling of the bed, I could exchange it to something better, for one full year.I tried a Serta iComfort at anothrer retailer, and the sales woman was nice etc... but the ypung man at Metro Mattress encouraged me to try the Tempurpedic flex hybrid. It cost more so I was hesitant. But he didnt presure me, he just gave me the facts and put me on a bed that he thought would help my situation with my back. He was spot on! I opted for the Breeze model because I sleep warm. He showed me the benefits of the adjustable base I Purchased and explained how needed the proper pillow is, in order to get a good nights sleep. I used thier 0% financing as tjey were running a nice special. I now pay about $1.00 per night for the most incredible sleep ive ever had. I ended up buying family some of these Tempurpedic pillows for xmas gifts this year. Thanks Jon and Metro Mattress delivery guys who were great guys too!

Probably the worst place I have ever walked into. The salesman was absolutely rude, acted like we had no money. Was pushing stuff on us when we were just trying them out still, and when we said we wanted to talk it over, he said Oh well dozens of other stores are seeing our inventory so if you take long someone else will buy it. This was AFTER he acted like we were dead broke. So right next door got our money. And we didnt go any cheap end. Treat people better and you get more sales!!!
I had a very good experience with Metro Mattress. I have no idea if I spent too much money on the merchandise bought, but the delivery was free, easy, and the employees made the experience pretty painless. Comfy bed too.

Went in with my 2 kids a couple of days ago. The kids were being.... well, kids. The saleman John went to the back and inflated 2 balloons for each of my boys to keep them happy. After about an hour I found the perfect bed (Im super picky). It was more than I planned to spend so they offered me 3 year zero interest financing! That helped alot. He was super helpful with everything. The bed got here yesterday. I slept perfect last night. They even took the old bed back. Thanks much! Now I cant get the jingle out of my head haha! Yesterday I was out shopping for mattresses. I first did my research online then hit up some of the brick and mortar stores on Commercial Drive: Joe Tahans, Raymour and Flanigan and Metro Mattress. What a jerk did we come across in the Metro Mattress location next to olive garden.I enter the store and ask him about a few specific mattresses Im interested in. He gave me a very forced speel about the history of the company and how its local, when im trying to make it really obvious to him he needs to sell me on the mattress and the price... not the damn company.We did the usual try out various mattress styles and the salesmen was OK at first, but not very good at his job, not very smooth and kinda pushy. I notice the price of the King-Sized Simmons BeautyRest listed at 2400$, literally 1000 dollars more then the same mattress down the road (under a different store-specific model name). I let him continue on with his various pitches, when I go to leave things took a turn for the worst.He basically refuses to let me leave, saying things like So which one are you gonna choose? and This is a one stop shop I dont understand why you need to go elsewhere. He says these in a really insulting tone making me feel really unconformable. He then proceeded to insult the rest of the competitor stores on commercial drive saying Joe Joe Tahans sells Chinese Style whatever that means (they have the same Sterns and Foster as anyone else). Raymour doesnt really sell mattresses because they are a furniture store. Sorry bro, their inventory is at least as large as metro mattress.I personally worked with Joe at Raymour and Flanigan, but I would recommend ANYONE on commercial drive over the crappy prices and salesman at Metro Mattress. Please do not give them your business because they do not deserve it.

Seems like a front for a motorcycle gang. Salesman was a 350 hulking behemoth wearing his motorcycle jacket. Intrusive. I suggested I would like to walk around the store and then come to him with questions. His response was Why would you want to do that? Walked out at that point. Now I know why their parking lot is always empty.

2022-02-25Our sales rep, Josh, was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and personable. He patiently answered all of our questions and explained the benefits of the various mattresses and bases available. He was also very thorough when guiding us through the different finance options so that we could find what worked best for us.We are extremely satisfied with our bed purchase and love waking up with no back pain! Based on our experience, we highly recommend Metro Mattress - and Josh - for anyone in the market for a new bed!We also want to compliment the excellent customer service we experienced with delivery. We had to reschedule due to weather issues, which resulted in rough road conditions. The delivery drivers could justifiably have turned around and not delivered our bed, but they worked hard to figure out a solution and conducted a quick, efficient delivery and set-up. They were friendly and professional, which we really appreciated.

2022-04-13Pablo was friendly & welcomed us upon arrival. We were able to try several mattresses that fit our life style and also Pablo gave us info on the store and the history of its maker. After trying a mattress we laid their for a bit to make sure we were comfortable and the firmness was what we wanted. Pablo was so knowledgeable on everything including the different frames and the height adjustments. We wanted top line but our budget was lower so Pablo worked with us till we were satisfied. Over all, Pablo was professional and very knowledgeable in the mattress world. He gave us every opportunity to get what we wanted and made us a very satisfied customer. 2022-03-25We went to find a new mattress for our son. Johnny was very friendly and helpful. He was not pushy at all and let us (and our kids) try out many mattresses. Once we picked one, the sale was quick and easy. This was our second time buying from this store and would do so again.

2022-04-22Johnny and Pablo at the Commercial Drive location in New Hartford were SPECTACULAR. Earlier this month, I was in need of the delivery of several new mattresses to a location over an hour away. I was in and out of the store in less than 45 minutes with 5 brand new mattress sets and delivery scheduled for the very next day. The team was incredibly kind and beyond helpful.
