Josh was very informative, friendly and not pushy. He showed us and let us test out several mattresses, narrowing our preference and helping us to come to our selection. We dont have our new mattress yet so I cant comment much on that. It was a more expensive venture than I had anticipated...but theyre giving us some gifts which I guess is why the mattress costs what it does. Hope it lasts for a long time

Gary in the commercial drive store was excellent help, knowledgeable and friendly but not pushy in helping us buy our new mattress. Delivery is very quick! Joe was wonderful at helping us pick a new mattress! He really took his time explaining each bed and what each brand/style has to offer. I came only to purchase a metal bed frame. Salesman was very personable and helpful. He didnt try to push any products on me, which I really appreciated. The store manager, Joe Czarniecki, greeted us promptly and inquired what brand and size mattress we were looking for. We told him we were interested in a queen with an adjustable frame. He spent a lot of time with us explaining the differences between the mattress brands and had us try out an adjustable bed. We purchased the new bed yesterday afternoon and it has already been delivered and set up. Fantastic service.

Weve been shopping for a mattress for two years now and each time, Brad has been incredibly patient and knowledgeable with us! He understood what a big decision it is and was able to guide us in the right direction and answer all the questions I had. (I had a ton!) We finally settled on a great Temperpedic! I was shopping for a mattress. I went to several stores and was a bit confused. I went to the Metro Mattress store in Yorkville and was greeted by a guy named Brad. He smiled and made me feel welcome. After we talked for a while he had me try a really expensive exclusive mattress. It was extremely comfortable but well out of my range. We then tried a softer feel and a harder feel. He told me things about sleep I had never thought about. Well, I ended up with a Tempurpedic on a frame that goes up and down. Wow! I have never slept better in my life, and my back doesnt hurt now. I thought I spent too much but its worth every penny. Thanks Brad.

Yesterday I was out shopping for mattresses. I first did my research online then hit up some of the brick and mortar stores on Commercial Drive: Joe Tahans, Raymour and Flanigan and Metro Mattress. What a jerk did we come across in the Metro Mattress location next to olive garden. (I realize this is the yorkville location, but I dislike the store and prices enough Ill cross-post my review here)I enter the store and ask him about a few specific mattresses Im interested in. He gave me a very forced speel about the history of the company and how its local, when im trying to make it really obvious to him he needs to sell me on the mattress and the price... not the damn company.We did the usual try out various mattress styles and the salesmen was OK at first, but not very good at his job, not very smooth and kinda pushy. I notice the price of the King-Sized Simmons BeautyRest listed at 2400$, literally 1000 dollars more then the same mattress down the road (under a different store-specific model name). I let him continue on with his various pitches, when I go to leave things took a turn for the worst.He basically refuses to let me leave, saying things like So which one are you gonna choose? and This is a one stop shop I dont understand why you need to go elsewhere. He says these in a really insulting tone making me feel really unconformable. He then proceeded to insult the rest of the competitor stores on commercial drive saying Joe Joe Tahans sells Chinese Style whatever that means (they have the same Sterns and Foster as anyone else). Raymour doesnt really sell mattresses because they are a furniture store. Sorry bro, their inventory is at least as large as metro mattress.I personally worked with Joe at Raymour and Flanigan, but I would recommend ANYONE on commercial drive over the crappy prices and salesman at Metro Mattress. Please do not give them your business because they do not deserve it.

Pablo was extremely personable and informative - he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well informed of all our options. I really appreciated his attention to details of the makes of the mattresses and thorough explanations. Metro Mattress also has some wonderful policies to ensure you’re happy with your purchase even after you’ve made it. I am happy to note also that all staff on site made this an LGBTQ friendly place to be and shop. We got more than we expected to and we couldn’t have been any happier with this experience!

2021-07-26Honestly, worst company you can ever deal with. Save your money and go else where.Purchased a mattress, they delivered it ripped.They refuse to return or replace it.. then proceeded to say it was ripped prior to purchase (which it was not when we looked at it in store) been waiting almost 2 weeks for a call back from higher HQ.We did not receive what we ordered (got factory select C instead of the A that is clearly on the invoice).Finally received a call back to attempt to fix the issue, to then find out we were completely lied to about the entire product.Save your energy, money, and time! So many better options out there.

2022-02-20Pablo was very helpful and professional! He took his time to help us find the right mattress and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a bed!
