The pool is great, (cleanliness being most important), respectful swimmers, beautiful skylight, and well kept. Temperature is a problem, must often temperate to cook, sometimes simply hilariously freezing. The rest of the facility is prison-like and depressing. Beyond desperately needing a rehab, the rest of the facility needs a consultation on use of space, programs, cleanliness and efficiency. The locker rooms are functional, the showers... a travesty, shocking, punitive? All kinds of wrong, you pick.
Decent pool thats part of the city rec program. You have to join to use the pool. Its around 150 for 12 months of access. Decent pool and okay locker rooms. Bring a lock.
Phone receptionist so rude. I called and asked if pool was open she seemed annoyed at doing her job. On website it indicates facility is open. Rude people shouldnt work customer service.
It’s a nice indoors public pool. Not too crowded and it’s great because you can use it all year round.

A no frills fitness center with unbeatable value. Cant understand the people complaining about the facilities... its $12.50 / month. Usually pretty empty too.
The city has created a page that members or future members can sign in or renew their membership online. Also some machines in Cardio section need to be repaired or substitute.
Great pool for the price.... locker room floors are kinda dirty... bring your sandals.

I like this no frills clean place , as a senior I can not beat the price and the staff is friendly and helpful . I could ask for more but I would have to go somewhere else and pay a whole lot more so for now I am staying put.

2022-05-04Find this pool after the one in Chelsea starts to be used for lifeguard training. The pool is clean, water is crystal clear. The stuff is super friendly and explained to me where is where in the recreation center on my first visit.

2021-11-25Great space, recalls bathhouses of yesteryears was probably a bathhouse at some point, the pool with the skylights makes it seem like you are in an outdoor pool. They have to es for different activities, all round family fun

2017-05-20Ive been pretty much going here my whole life. This place has gotten better since I was a child. You get what you pay for, the gym is not the most elite and the showers/lockers can be dirty after certain times, but honestly for the price you are getting a big pool throughout the year. I believe if you are under 21 its free, which is amazing. Still reasonable after that age and you pay up front for the whole year, so no need to track any monthly payments. Its fine for when you just want to swim and go, no frills.

2016-05-07The locker room is just so hard to deal with- huge hair clumps, showers smell like pee, blackness everywhere but there are lockers- BYOlock. The pool itself is OK- the bottom is awfully stained with brown who knows what but the water is relatively clean; like Ive never seen anything floating in it and its not cloudy. But man this pool gets crowded- three lanes and anywhere from 5-9 people in a 25 yard lane. Everybody seems to think their breast stroke is a great workout and its really hard to pass- so dont come here for speed work or plan on smooth constant laps.
