Horrible service! I called earlier in the week to see if I could place an order to be picked up by the weekend since it was going to be a large order. It seemed like the lady didn’t care, I speak Spanish fluently so it wasn’t a language barrier issue. I went to the store and waiting for about 10 minutes and left. There were 3 people in the kitchen and no one acknowledged me or care to help.
I order from this restaurant all the time, and its always my absolute favorite Mexican in Albany city. Lunch dinner you name it Ill munch it from this place! The three street tacos with rice and beans are my favorite dish and the guacamole always has just the right flavor and kick that Im looking for.
This place is great. Please go here with an open mind. They have some of the best tongue tacos. The portions are always generous. One of my two favorite places to frequent for tacos in albany. Service is always exceptional. Dont expect the red carpet. All the love is in the food.
There are a lot of great Mexican places to choose from in Albany, so I wasnt 100% sold with our initial order, but gave it another shot and its clear you just gotta know what to get. Got the carne asada chimichanga the next time and it was FANTASTIC! Its also worth treating yourself to the tres leches or the cheesecake; portion size is a bit small but theyre absolutely amazing. Plus with the low prices on the entrees, its still a great deal. (Note: the churro doesnt seem to travel well so maybe skip that on your takeout order. 😉)
After years looking for traditional tacos and not the Americanized mexican food that Ive always found in the area, I finally found it!. If youre looking for traditional tacos, this is the place. There are not many real mexican places in the area and this one exceeded my expectations, prices were really cheap and the food even better!!! Try it and you wont regret it!!!
This is one of those unique hole in the wall restaurants that doesnt cater to the masses. They are happy to serve anyone but this is a true Mexican restaurant where many Mexicans go for dining and food staples. My friend and I both enjoyed our burritos along with Mexican soda.
$2.00 tacos are fantastic. They are small so if your hungry Id get four. The fresh chips and salsa is so fresh. The inside is authentic and family owned. Lighting is a bit intrusive with harsh florescent. Parking is front is a challange but there is a lot in the back.
Paid for extras that was not put in or on the food. Ive eaten from many Mexican eat-ins and order outs and this is by far the worse, I wouldnt even compare this to Taco Bell. Poor flavor, barely use of any sauces or vegetables even if you pay extra for it. Wouldnt eat again even if they paid me to. Complete waste of money.
The food is phenomenal! Its just a little hard ordering because of the language barrier, and because of this have gotten the wrong food. this however was not a bad thing. I was able to try something I wouldnt normally had ordered, and it was delicious. Ive been back over 10 times in the last 3 months and was never disappointed with the food.
Best authentic Mexican food in the capital region. This place serves authentic Mexican, if you want tex-mex go to Chipotle. If you want real Mexican food for a great price check this place out. Personally I really enjoy the carnitas burrito, but the tacos and plates are great as well.
Food is aMaZAzInG! Tiny, hidden shop on Central Ave off Everett Rd I90 exit. Its entrance is hidden by a bus stop. DELICIOUS food menu and cornucopia of flavored, pure-cane-sugar soda options - have you had apple soda?! So yummy!Three tacos for six bucks and change. SPLURGE -- spend the extra $1.50 for the carnitas ♥️
I went there for the 1st time because I had a craving for a burrito. 1st off let me say I was extremely surprised to find out how big it is on the inside. It looks much smaller than it really is. I believe it was a carne asada burrito. The price was right, the portion was good, the steak was cooked very well and it was flavorful. It couldve used more pico, salsa or something. Chicken tacos, best Ive ever had.The huevos con jalapeno with rice and beans is delicious as well. In the restaurant on the menu it says huevos con jalapenos & asada but after getting home I seen there was no steak in it. I was very disappointed initially. After reviewing the take out menu I saw they no longer offer it with steak and I really didnt feel like going back. But when I ordered I ordered huevos con jalapenos & asada. Someone should have told me it didnt come with steak when I ordered it. Nevertheless, it tasted very good.
Authentic mexican food. A hole in the wall kind of place. Mostly everything inside is listed in spanish and makes it tough for those not a knowledgeable. Communication was a little tough and made paying a little confusing. Overall the food was flavorful and I might be back again.
I don’t know if three stars are adequate bcuz the food is good but the steak quesadilla I ordered was cook with HAIR! Yes, as I was biting into it, I had a long black hair in my food and that turned me off as well as made me mad and sick!! HAIRNET 101 when performing any food service!! Also the language barrier is awful!! I’ll give it another try but will look thru my foodfirst!!Update: Had the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich...OMG sooooo good!!! Took a minute to order bcuz of the language barrier but once I got my sandwich it Was worth it and I highly recommend it!!!!
Ate here for the first time today ! The food is amazing- like Tijuana street food ! Yummy 😋 don’t let the looks of the place put you off - the food is sooo worth it , very small but run by lovely friendly folks ! Delicious and very reasonably priced ! Will definitely go back (again and again lol )
They dont have my respect or money. Order some tacos to go, I was very specific with the person who took the order. When I went to look for the food they didnt know about my order and my time is limited by my work. So I had to leave without food and hungry for the remaining 8 hours of work. That was my only break to eat.

2022-05-30Like flies in your grocery store? How about groups of men standing in the aisles staring at you blankly? If so, this place is for you! Ill take a pass. As far as the restaraunt, we didnt try it but the rotten smell throughout was persuasive against it.

2019-06-12Like a mini Mexican market when you walk in through the door. The taqueria is hidden in the back of the store. You have to make a left once you enter the store and walk to the back. All the tacos are made to order essentially using fresh ingredients. The servers dont speak much English (not a problem for me since I speak Spanish) but they get the job done. Tacos were really good.

2022-03-30If you dont order here youre a fool. This is the best takeout in Albany. I got the sopes de asada, tacos dorados queso and tacos al trompo. It is hard to find good food around here. I am so happy right now. Give them all your money.

2021-02-12Since no one in the Capital Region is selling birria tacos, I am making birria tacos myself at home! I needed some uncommon ingredients that you cant get just anywhere: dried ancho chilies, dried guajillo chilies and Oaxaca cheese. This store, though small, had an excellent selection of dried chilies and other items used in Mexican cuisine. They had everything I needed.

2022-02-11Hole in the wall atmosphere, staff speaks almost only Spanish but were friendly. Food was outstanding, I got the burritos de asada and it was one of the best and most authentic burritos Ive had in my life. A hidden gem for sure!

2021-11-22Grocery section is limited, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Tried the steak, chorizo and al pastor tacos. Also had a carnitas burrito. All very tasty. Cant wait to go back and try the tortas and pozole.
