Some of the best mexican I have ever had. I ordered the fajita quasadilla meal, 2 beef tacos and a pineapple soda to go. The only complain was the tacos got a little soggy in the to go container because of the grease, but that pretty much happens with any hard taco unless you eat it asap so not really a big deal. Everything tasted good and fresh. The steak on the quasadilla wasnt over cooked and chewy like a lot of places. The rice and beans was moist and fresh tasting instead of dry and old. I like this place a lot and wish I came through hear more so I could try more of there menu items.
I ordered the fajita quesadilla and let me tell you I wouldnt hesitate to say that it was the best I ever had also the service was great not a single waiter was sitting around doing nothing they were all busy doing something and there was next to no wait for the food definitely would recommend
Food was so good! More than we could eat and reasonable prices! Quick service and the plates sizzled as they were being served. Vegetarian options but I didnt see any vegan... I should have asked! Hope the state processes their liquor license soon I would have loved a margarita for our anniversary celebration!Try it for yourself you wont be sorry!
The restaurant is really cute. I love the decor, the music and the service. Prices were very reasonable. However, the food was not good. I wont go back there again. I ordered a chile relleno, rice and beans. The chile was barely warm, the rice looked like it had canned vegetables in it and the beans were a formless, flavorless mass, like a puddle. They had squeezed some sort of liquid imitation cheese all over the top of it which was terrible. My partner ordered carne asada tacos. The meat in them was very skimpy and the flavor was not outstanding in any way, although not disgusting.I was really disappointed because I am looking for a Mexican restaurant in this state that is worth eating at. I come from Southern California where Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen and most serve really good food. So Im very disappointed that I cant seem to find one in New York.
A most Excellent family owned and run Mexican Restaurant The stall is friendly jovial and always attentive. Take your time and review exactly what you want for an entree and you will be rewarded!Entrees are delicious, fun and unique, prepared to perfection by Master chef. Worth the wait if a line develops and you will return often. We’ve been a half dozen times in the last year and a half. Tip the kitchen for Big Appreciations!
Love this place. Wide menu of food choices, nice bar selection. Good size portions. Love their steak fajitas if Im super- hungry. Always satisfies. Their chips and salsa to enjoy before ordering are the best! Can get crowded on Friday evenings. Outside eating can get noisy as it is on a busy street.
Trying to find good Mexican on a Friday night without reservations was a challenge. Mi Rancho offered a first-come-first-served seating with only a ...Five to ten minute wait. The wait for the table was relatively short, but longer than ten minutes. After taking our drink order, we were told the server would be right with us. It took over 20 minutes for the server to arrive who appeared to be the owner. The wait for our food was at least an hour! The merciful wait staff tried to compensate by offering more margaritas. However, you dont want to have too many drinks when you really are more hungry. The food did eventually arrive and it was very tasty and appropriate temperature. Alas, the waiting was not over since we waited another 20v minutes for the check to find it never left the cashier station. Was an amazingly LONG dinner!!! The only saving grace was the food was very good. Oh,... and so were the margaritas. 🍹🍹🍹
Did not get everything that we order and when we told the waiter he was very rude about it and took forever to get everything that we originally order we even told the waiter to forget about the salad we ordered because we no longer wanted to wait for more food we asked the waiter for refills on drinks and it took 6 times to finally get more drinks to our table food wasnt even hot we never even got an apology for their mistake we only kept getting talked to very rudely we will not be returning here ever again
This is the place this town has been needing. Absolutely amazing food. We got a plethora of food last night and it was all amazing. We paid $104 and got a huge spread. Hands down best Mexican food in this area. If I lived here I would eat there at least once a week. The owner is very nice, very friendly and gave us extra chips.
Mi Rancho is a extremely great place. The staff are nice and the chips make me lost for words. My family went here for lunch and I got the tacos. They were the best tacos I have ever had. It looked very good and tasted even better. The same thing with my family’s meals too. If you are ever near it, go there. You won’t regret it.
Rating this a 3 because of cleansing issues.... each page of the menu had dried salsa on it, and the state of the womens room was worse than an outhouse. The food was good, nice flavors and plenty of it.. the guacamole salad was delicious.Heres hoping the kitchen was cleaner 😳
Had a vegetarian platter and a chicken quesadilla here. The food was above average. The owner clearly takes pride in his restaurant. However, we ended up waiting for nearly 40 minutes before we were served our food. To be fair, the restaurant staff were extremely busy serving the customers. I think additional staff will help ease the waiting times.
A great find after a lacrosse tournament. A small family run restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. Service was quick when we came in for lunch, but the friendly owner mentioned that they do get busy and the staff will get overwhelmed on a busy night. Dont let a little wait prevent you from a delicious meal.
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They didnt let my water glass go empty before giving me a new one. Its an authentic Mexican restaurant. The food seemed completely Mexican and not Americanized. There was a TV showing in Spanish. As for price, their prices are average. For the amount of food you get (which is alot), the prices are great!
I don’t know how this restaurant has such good reviews. Unless it’s a total fluke that the two times I’ve went there the service was bad and the waitstaff rude. On my trip there with my fiancé the food was good and the service quick however at the end the hostess was hovering over my shoulder as I was writing down the tip amount. I have worked in the restaurant industry and I don’t know how someone would think that’s proper etiquette as staff in a restaurant. We sadly made the mistake of going back a second time figuring we had gone on a bad day to only be greeted by a waiter who spoke to my fiancé in a very rude and condescending manner that he had “told us to follow him”. The whole attitude was really rude and arrogant bordering on confrontational. We ended up leaving before we even got anything. Who wants to spend money at a place where you’re treated like trash because the host hadn’t spoken up enough when telling us to follow him.
The food here is delicious! I have super high expectations when it comes to authentic Mexican, and this place delivered. The salsa that came with my tacos was very spicy and flavorful, I loved it so much I asked for some to take to go. We even ordered two other dishes to take home with us for dinner later. I will say, who I presume is the owner, could be a little more friendly. But it didnt bother me. I will definitely come back when Im in the area again! Prices are more than reasonable.
Water was really really bad. Service felt slow on what seemed like a sort of busy Friday night. Asked for a soda and never received it. Chips were a little overcooked. That said, the actual food was excellent. Pollo Fundido was great. Even the rice and beans are good. Water was undrinkable though which makes me question everyone that might be made with it... Maybe bad pipes? Tasted almost sulfuric.
Let me preface this by saying that the food was PHENOMENAL. What I ate of it....The staff was friendly but the service was slow, it was busy. Ok, no problem. I am eating alone. Get seated, get a drink and chips. Finish the basket of chips before the waiter comes back to take my food order (well call it 10-15 min but I wasnt timing). Ask for more chips and a re-fill after I order. Never comes. 35 min later, food comes out. Glass is finally refilled (still no new chips but its all good, I have real food now). The Pollo Fundido was AMAZING.BUT... Im about half-way through my first one when I see something crawling in my lettuce. Look, lettuce comes from the ground, theres bugs on it. Its all good. But this thing is looking at me. Its also worm shaped. Im not a fan. I dont want to make a big deal of it but Im also done eating now. Ive eaten in some rough places on earth, bugs dont bother me. Worm shaped things in my food bother me a bit. I slide the plate away and wait. Waiter comes by. Im close to other people so I try to quietly state that there is a bug in my food and Im just not a fan. Im not asking for free food just am done. Want the check please. The waiter then begins to question me on where I saw this bug and what it was. I show him. I also recommend they re-clean all the lettuce. He picks up the lettuce with the worm-thing on it and inspects it. I repeat they should probably re-clean the lettuce. He then begins to berate me that this is a clean restaurant and they clean their vegetables and I can leave. He takes the plate and leaves. I wait around to see if he brings my check. Again, Im not looking for a comp-ed meal, Im just done eating. He comes back by a few minutes later and repeats that I can leave. So I go.The food was amazing, I really liked the place. I will probably even go back. I just was not a fan of the interaction with the wait staff before the food came and after the issue was discovered.
Wow, just wow. My came up to look for furniture in the Glen falls area. We came across this place as we were searching for local spot. And boy were we in for a treat. Real Authentic Mexican food, right in glens falls. OUR FAMILY WILL TRAVEL THE HOUR TO EAT HERE AGAIN! Thanks for an awesome experience.
We have been here five or six times now in the last year. The food is always delicious, authentic Mexican. Hands down best tacos in upstate NY but the server, who I assume is the owner, seems overworked and very grumpy all six times that we’ve been there. He’s short and not personable and barely seems to acknowledge us. We were there last night and it took 40 minutes for him to take our order. Two tables that arrived after us got their food before he even took our order. We will continue to come back because the food is so good.
Such great food at this establishment. The employees are on top of all your needs. We have now been her twice and it has taken a bit for our food to come out but its always worth the wait. The food is authentic Mexican and they have vegetarian options as well. The margaritas are delicious and they give you free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. If you are looking for the real thing, this is the place to go.
Very poor customer service because Im an African American.... At first when I entered his attitude wasnt welcoming at all. I proceeded by asking him about something on the menu, instead of giving an appropriate response, he was rather defensive and rude. It was then I decided to leave.I would never recommend this place to anyone. How you treat anyone that walk through your door matters a whole lot.
Delicious. Great service & food is fresh. The chips & salsa was better than at most places, they were warm & crispy. The salsa had a great taste & doesnt have chunks of tomatoes etc, its like a puree which I like. The cancun burrito was loaded with big mushrooms & chicken. Margarita was just ok.
The man that took my order seemed a little off but thats okay food was excellent .had burrito Mexicano refried beans are okay little on the salty side. rice was cooked nicely .burrito was good steak tasted very good it was very satisfying plenty of food . Had enough for a little bit the next day I will go back again
Generous portions of satisfying, fresh, authentic Mexican fare, vast menu including vegetarian and kids options. I particularly liked that the steak in my steak tacos was finely chopped & tender, AND the tacos were on a separate plate from the sides so my tacos stayed crisp. Fantastic margaritas (I ordered the medium-sized Premium Margarita & it was plenty). Good value. Clean. Friendly, efficient service. Pleasant atmosphere. This is now our FAVORITE Mexican Restaurant in the area.
First I would like to say the food is excellent. This rating is purely based on how terrible our waiter was. Rude. Forgot half of the kids straws. Walked away from us when we asked for a menu. Didnt bring one. Ignored us when we asked for separate checks twice. Complete attitude the whole time. This is the first time ever I have not tipped. If you cant handle big parties dont be a waiter.
My second time at Mi Rancho and I’ve finally found the best Mexican restaurant. The price is right, the food is excellent and portions are perfect. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Family friendly or great for a single like me. You won’t regret your experience.
Being from San Diego and having real mexican food just across the border, the food here is as good. Prices are not a drain on your wallet. Try there Margaritas made sure you have a driver as you will want more then one. Very nice they have lunch specials. More that satisfying. Hope they dont jack up prices being on a fixed income I can afford there prices. Dont miss out on this restaurant. Staff friendly and on the ball. Thankful to have good mexican food.
First time there... Legit Mexican food! Seem a little short staffed- not that service was slow, but everyone is racing around in a hurry.. I think there were only two people working at the time.Loved the food and will definitely return. Huge menu and very reasonably priced, especially considering how much food you get.
Rating is due to people skills, specifically, believe it or not, the owner.Very good place, with a few exceptions, when calling in an order to go, the person on the other side of my call, very pushy, and basically hung up immediately after giving my order, so was not able to confirm my request for food.....Hope he gets it right!!!!......And....Nope! Dine in is definitely better than takeout.Ordered 1 Chimichanga ($6.99)Received the double order at double the price, convenient! Cheese sauce was dried and hard on nachos, whole sliced tomatoes (4) in my wifes Burrito. Owner needs more people skills, and maybe appreciate customers, rather then treat them like he is annoyed at them, because business got busy. I watched a group of 6 come in, ask for a take out menu, and he huffed about it, so they just left.Fastest way out of business, is to have too much of it if you cant handle it correctly.
Nice environment, speed of service was great, homemade tortilla chips and salsa were great, portion sizes were jist right and the seating was immediate. This was our first visit so need to try more on their cast menu. Just no alcohol here until they get their license to serve which was fine by me everything else was great!!
We came here after waiting for it to open the past couple of weeks. Was pleasantly surprised! Big bowl of salsa and nice warm bowl of chips to start you off, amazing, authentic Mexican food, and the price is great! We finished with their fried cheesecake, holy cow, will be back for sure!
My mom and I wanted to try something new. First of all when we sat down, the table was dirty. When the waitress took our drink order we asked for the table to be wiped down. She came back with our drinks, my mom got a bottle of beer with no glass and my sangria was served warm in a not so clean glass. We asked her for a glass and to clean the table but we never saw her again. Asked a waiter again for a glass and got a dirty one. The waitresses attitude was very poor. So instead of ordering food we paid for our drinks then left.
There are very few good choices for really good Mexican food in Upstate N.Y. This is THE place to go. I had 2 tamales. Best tamales I’ve had since living in California. The salsa was the right amount of tang with a little hint of spice. My daughter got chicken chimichangas. Yum yum and more yum! Everything was bursting with authentic flavors. We will be back!
First time there tonight. Food is authentic Mexican and delicious. The guacamole and different salsas on the table pre meal are so fresh and different. The staff are really friendly we had a great time. They don’t have their liquor license yet but the food is fabulous
I had to leave five stars even though I want impressed with the lady that sat us. No personality, no smile but she brought warm nachos and salsa quickly. They now have their liquor license and their margarita was top shelf. I had an amazing authentic meal, I di not like refried beans but these were awesome. The rice....perfect. The food came out quickly, piping hot and my waiter smiled and was so pleasant! Bravo.... I hope this place is around for the long haul!!!
We ordered take out due to Covid 19. Hubby ordered the Burritos Texanos which were tasty and I ordered a combo #1 and the shrimp soup. I wasnt planning on the soup, but read a few other reviews about it and Im so glad that I did- It is excellent. We will be back try some other things and for more soup!
I was excited to have another Mexican restaurant in the area but was very disappointed. I ordered a chicken burrito and it pretty much tasted like Taco Bell. The shell was dry too. Not that I dont like Taco Bell but I expect more out of a sit down restaurant. We decided wed give it another try in the future once they get their liquor license.
Oh Dios mío! I have eaten Pollo Con Crema in many restaurants including in Mexico. Mi Ranchos is hands down the best that I have ever had! This place is as authentic as you will find. Beautifully decorated, great service & location and great prices as well. 5 star!!!!
Stopped in on a slow rainy wed. Super impressed. Really nicely redecorated. I got the Chicken chimichangas my wife got carnitas and a tamale. Food was great!! Service extremely fast(was a slower evening) and friendly. Hope they remain consistent and do well. We will be back soon!
Real Authentic Mexican Food, excellent service, the place is small and quaint, but the food and the service makes up for that in Abundance. Also the prices are quite reasonable and you may learn some Spanish reading the menu of which is very self explanatory, the wife and I had lunch, fried quesadillas 1 steak 1 chicken carrot juice and authentic hot chocolate, very delicious 👍😃
Our first time at Mi Rancho. Hoping for another comfortable spot close to home, but this will not be that spot. Unfortunately I ordered the shrimp la mojo ..... It wasnt hot, but it was salty. The shrimp were small. My wife didnt care for her meal and as I always do I sampled her meal. I will leave it at I dont like to be negative, so I was trying to figure out how to give 2-1/2 stars, but with my head buzzing from the salt I settled on the straight 2. Maybe it was just a bad night.
Just tried Mi Rancho last night with my girlfriend and had a great experience. She got chicken chimichangas and I went with a steak los cajones i believe it was called? lol, Anyways the server reassured us after we ordered that those were very good choices! Only downside was when i went to order a corona i was informed noooooo liquor license. Regardless, it was a nice experience and i hope to see them do well! Gracias
Worst we have ever took them a hour and half to make 2 meals and then they didn’t even give us the right food!! Maybe you should hire more people whom speak English so they get peoples orders correct especially when people spend 50$+++ at this restaurant we expect it to be correct!!!!
Order from a lot but this time was rushed and i wanted chicken but was forced beef and never was given the option had to make numerous calls to get everything how we wanted. If you want reoccuring regular customers to come back dont be rushing them and maybe a few will come back

2022-06-19The food is amazing! Seasoned beautifully, healthy portions, and pretty presentation. The sauces are flavorful, I only wish I could have tried the guacamole (we got there just before closing and I think they ran out). Very friendly staff and prompt service. Would love to come here again!

2022-03-30Got some things to go as someone said it was good. We weredisappointed. Appetizer side order burritos sounded like what should be a couple of mini-burritos but were salty shredded chicken in soft tortillas for $9.99 and the bean burritos were just refried beans in soft tortillas for $8.99. That was it. Nothing else. No rice or vegetables. Not good value for the price. Clearly I needed to ask what they were instead of assuming. Sorry!

2022-07-02Great place for family. One of the best Mexican food. I tried garlic shrimp and my wife tried vegetarian combo. Both the dishes were flavorful and fresh. House margarita was good too. Will visit again.

2022-06-17We have been regulars at Mi Rancho for most of the past year, eating there almost weekly. It has generally been great, with an occasional glitch here and there. Tonight we were seated, ordered drinks, then nothing for 25 minutes. Others who were seated after us were attended to, but we were ignored. Wh n the server finally came we asked for a check for the drinks, paid, and left. No apology was offered. Weve literally spent thousands at Mi Rancho over the past year, but tonight was the last time.
