Micro Center in other cities:
Microcenter is my go to store for tech items and tvs. I’ve always been able to find reasonably priced items. I usually order online and pick up the very same day with ease: The employees have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products they carry and the services they offer. I highly recommend Microcenter.
Selection is down because of the chip and supply constraints. Did not find any deals the day I went. The 240gb ssd is a nice freebie though. They usually have more interesting products on display. They do price match amazon if its sold by Amazon. Overall a good experience, just not much stuff to buy due to shortages.
Very good experience here. Went in looking for a very specific computer that was for nothing more than reading my online college textbooks. I was helped by Sandeep L. who made sure that this computer was the correct choice. He made sure I knew it was very basic, but not in a high pressure approach to upsell. He took a bit of time to make sure I was making a good choice, which I really appreciate. I didn’t feel like I was a less important customer for buying something cheap.
So I needed some new components. When I first built my rig, I got everything off Newegg; but since I had some time - I thought it might be nice to go somewhere and pick up what I needed, and fix my computer on the same day.I am so glad I decided to go to micro center. I went to the “build your own pc” section and the man who helped me (Unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but if you’re reading this - thank you!!) was very kind and extremely knowledgeable. He was very up-front and honest, and didn’t try to unnecessarily up-sell me on components, given my needs. He was honest about pricing and if x, y, or z component was better for the money. He could give you the pro’s and con’s about different components/set up’s and what would best suit your needs. He was efficient, but I didn’t feel rushed either. I had everything I needed at a price I was happy with, with great service. As I was working on my rig, I couldn’t find where one cable went (my own fault lol, but this little fiasco cost me 2 hours). But I went back to micro center, and someone was able to help me figure out what I was doing wrong).I started up my rig, and again ran into trouble (BIOS was not able to find a bootable device, even though I had 3 harddrives connected). This time micro center online chat came in for the save. Walked me through moving the new m.2 SSD to a new slot and re-installing windows. It’s incredible, I told the customer support person what motherboard and cpu I had as well as what error messages were coming up and he/she was able to give me specific advice. (No, try turning it off and on again). It was very helpful and there is no telling how many days it would have taken me to figure this all out on my own.In short, great service. Great prices (on par with Newegg or equivalent online retailers). Anything that I need computer-wise, I will only be dealing with micro center from now on.
Good selection, terrible oily salesman and aggressive upsell tactics.I returned 3/27/18 to pick up a smart TV remote with mini keyboard. The website indicated they had only 1 model and only 2 of that in stock. When I got to the store I found 4 models of smart remote with keyboard. Each model had at least 5 in stock. The website is completely inaccurate. Thats a real shame because I almost went elsewhere.I was also shocked to find the exact same product in 2 different packages and 1 was $10 more. I repeat the contents were exactly the same. You wouldnt know it from this review but I really like microcenter. They have a great selection. But you have to do your research and go prepared. Also they have lots of parking and usually 3 or more cashiers are working.
Love, the store, People that work there A+. I sometimes leave because of the lines to the registers! Its a total nightmare. Allow yourself an hour for this store. 15 minutes to shop, 45 minutes for the line to the cashier. Management get it together!Rule #1 in retail always take the money and dont keep customers waiting! Sad, but true.
Its a great store, but service definitely depends on the salesperson you get. For example, I asked one rep why the higher price of an HDMI cable sitting on an open shelf differed from whats showing on the Micro Center website. In response they pointed out how the price shown on a Samsung SSD I was buying was also higher than the actual price... implying store labels dont show the true selling price. That would be strange. But it turns out the cables price was correct. The lower price I saw on the website was due to its color, and this was figured out by another rep at the cash register, thereby saving me money.Only more expensive products like SSDs, that are not displayed on a store shelf and cannot be picked up without a reps help, show prices higher than the actual price. Still strange, but more understandable. This is something the first rep should have known.
Update. Visited the store today, wearing a shirt made by one of the magazines they carry and unfortunately nearly all the staff there were staring at me like hawks. Very unprofessional and a bad look. Also made me feel incredibly uncomfortable in a store I really enjoy going to.
My sons gaming PC lagged and didnt have up to date parts. So we brought it in and Chris was an absolute expert in his presentation of what the pros and cons were. In the end, we ended up getting more ram, CPU upgrade, motherboard upgrade, and GPU. A bit costly, but worth it. My son is elated at the improvement.
Any associate you ask any graphics card questions magically doesn’t know when they will be available for those without vouchers meanwhile they have a whole pallet full of them in the back. I was also told they weren’t all accounted for which means they should be available for sale if not vouched for.
Great computer store. VERY well stocked store. VERY orderly and well marked aisles. EXCELLENT &KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF AS WELL AS CASHIERS. I had a coupon I received online for two items. I will be back to get an estimated cost for two perfectly good computers that just arent working. In fact one never worked because of a corrupt hard drive. They are also very covid conscious. Thanks guys!!!
Line was out the door and only 1 cashier working and manager walking around doing nothing. Please review photo of line.Update: 05APR2021. STILL SAME OLD PLACE. Seems like nothing has changed. Waited almost 30 mins for someone to help me get my online order. Management doesnt care at all.
Great service. The staff were very friendly and professional. I brought my big Mac Tower to repair. The technician tested everything working over night and returned to me without labor charge . The staff even helped me to carry it to my car. Amazing service. Highly recommend to bring your computer here to get fixed.
Wanted to get a laptop for college, and I already had a list of specs I needed. I told the salesperson I was majoring in engineering, and he insisted that I had to get the most powerful laptop (even though it didnt meet most of my desired specs), or else it could not support my engineering programs such as CAD. However, my friends laptop--the exact one the salesperson said wouldnt function--handles those programs just as well without any problem. The man was also very condescending when I refused to buy any warranty, saying, Well, if you dont care about the possible risk, sure.Although the workers are knowledgeable and generally friendly, ultimately, they are only trying to make a sale.
I love technology and this a place for any one who love gadgets, I always end up with something other then what I went in for, so I try not to just go. They have great deals specially on computers. I bout 2 laptops Dell with it 8gb ram 1tb he and it was touch screen with 15 inch screen. $400 I couldnt find one for that price even online. And middle of March so no black Friday either. Service is great if you buy a PC manager comes out and thanks you.
Spoke to Ahmed M. because i was having an issue with RAM compatibility with my Asus Z390 AUROUS and my G.skill Tridentz DDR4. I came to the conclusion that this was the issue because we throughly referenced serial numbers with the compatibility sheet for the motherboard and what i had wasnt on it. After walking into the store and finding Ahmed he immediately told us it wasn’t the issue and after explaining our findings he continued to be adamant that this was not the issue even after saying we compared serial numbers. He was extremely unhelpful and condescending on the issue as he shook his head and spoke with an annoyed tone. Simply put he should not speak on what he does not know. Anyways after getting the new RAM the computer booted perfectly and ran fine.
I would like to express the disappointment In your staff and your stores service. I drove all the way to your store to purchase a Powerspec G469 computer. Your inventory shows 5 of them. After being approached by one of your sales reps, who never mentioned his name or asked for mine. He asked me what i wanted. When i showed him a picture he asked to take my carriage to the back and disappeared for 10 minutes. This sales person came back with a open $2600 computer. He mentioned someone wanted to see it and we opening it for him before. I mentioned that not ok and what’s your discount policy for opened items. The salesman said let me call my manager. He went over to Mr.Jason Makhanlall your sales supervisor. Jason could care less about helping me or my concerns. He talked to me from 10 feet away and could care less about helping me locate an another one or could care less about helping his employee who was completely lost. I was told I can get one in Yonkers if i wanted but they cannot transfer it. I don’t understand how someone can walk into a store with a credit card in in hand and ready to buy a high end product and feel completely disrespected and turned off by your unprofessional sales manager who lacks the communication skills to even explain to me what an open box is and what the return policy if something was broken. They claimed someone wanted to “see it” and then claimed that all the others in the back were broken... it sounds like some kind of fraud was going on with these units.
If you have an problem with electronics of any kind or looking to buy this is the place. The prices are always competitive even with online retailers. Extremely knowledgeable staff these guys can answer just about any question about PCs. This is my first stop when i buy electronics even if it is just to check it out in person first
Microcenter is a fantastic computer store. With one stop you can get just about anything for your computer needs. The staff are very knowledgeable and are great with advice. The service is excellent. They also offer computer repairs. You can order items online and pick up the very same day, usually in a few hours and they will email you when your item is ready for pickup. Highly recommended.
Great experience. I went in needing a new desktop computer and meet the sales person Tom Ardeljan. Amazing sales person and service. He asked me what this desktop was to be used for and began to recommend different systems based on that. I didnt feel pressured at all to buy anything or rushed. Very happy with my purchase. I will definitely be going back and giving them my business again.
Everything you need and want under one roof.Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. For techies and geeks this is a heaven of shopping.Prices are good and they always have sales.Parking lot is huge. But Long lines for new products.Worth and visit to learn about tech stuff.Everyone was complying with the CDC guidelines during this pandemic and I felt safe. Glad to be able to shop in person in a safe environment during these new and unprecedented times.
First time shopping here . And let me tell what a awesome experience! Joe Plavnicky the Appliance sales advisor did a phenomenal job. Help me out instantly for what I needed for my new apartment and gave me a great deal thank you again I will be coming back soon just because of him.
Staff was very helpful with helping me figure out what parts would best suit my needs for a new gaming pc.Edit 3/28/22: changed from 5 stars to 2 stars, brought pc in after having inconsistent bsod issues and reseating drives 3x, all sorts of fruitless testing for about 36 hours straight. Paid $40ish for their pc diagnostic services, was told Id be good in 5 days. Text them 1 week later since you cant call them (brought it in 2/5, first text 2/12) and never got a response. Text again the 17th, no response. 18th, they tell me its being worked on and should be done by tomorrow morning... Shouldve been done in half that time but whatever. Never got another text update so I just went in to check on it. Diagnosis? There wasnt one, they just told me they reseated my parts. I did that 3 times.. Guess I just didnt have magic fingers. Anyway! Pc was fine juuuust through their 30 day bring it back if it happens again period, and of course now its all chain crashes. Now I just have a very expensive brick because I am not wasting another penny with these guys. The services here suck and when you use them, get everything in writing and hope you dont have to harrass them and assume any sort of progress when they have your $1,500+ pc.Feels like an authentic NY experience, for sure.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. ONCE YOU PURCHASE THE COMPUTER ITS ALL OVER!! THEY ARE NICE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE BUT AFTER ITS DOWN THE DRAIN. MY COMPUTER IS ONE DAY OLD AND HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT, CANNOT GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE, CHAT BOX IS OF NO HELP AND PUT ON HOLD 1/2 HOUR!!! ITS AFFECTING MY INCOME AND I AM READY TO GET A REFUND AND CALL MY LAWYER!!
Ive been purchasing electronics (and components) from MC for over a decade, and never had any issues whatsoever. This place has variety and great prices. In college I met people who worked there and according to them its pretty nice to work at MC. Of course thats what they said but in the years going there I never heard anything unprofessional from any of the staff. This is the place to go.
Excellent for electronics. I love the extended warranties. I have demolished items and they have taken them back as is and given me a full refund. My dog recently ate my $70 headphones and Micro Center exchanged them for a brand new pair. All I paid was an additional $15 for a new 3 year warranty. I destroyed my computer 3 times and the last time it was too expensive to fix so they gave me a store credit for the entire amount I originally spent on the computer and I was able to get a new computer--spent an additional $500 to get a gaming computer--but they credited me the entire cost of the first computer. This is an awesome store. I really wish they sold gaming consoles. Other than that, its an excellent computer store with killer warranties.
I wish I could give less than 1 star. I dropped my computer off almost a week ago for a diagnosis and have not gotten an email or phone call about it. I have tried calling over 20 times and have not gotten an answer once. I have also spoken with the live chat representatives on the website and they cannot get in touch with them either. The communication is awful. I was also double charged for the diagnosis which I still have not received.
Micro Center is one of the largest electronics big box stores still in business. It is a Mecca for your needs in all things electronic. I had been trying to find a travel monitor for my 17 Dell laptop, and had searched through several stores without success. At Micro center they took 5 minutes to find just what i needed. Kudos to the sales person (Thomas K) for understanding the parameters.
I absolutely love their customer service representatives. Extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to help each customer. I use them for years for absolutely my business needs and personal as well. However, I always prefer going to the long Island location since I know them for so many years. I highly recommend Microcenter especially the Long Island & Queens location.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Prices are extremely competitive since they are the lowest or will price match competitors, which makes this place my usual stop to visit when building a new computer. Additionally, its website seems to be very accurate when it comes to inventory so one should visit the website before making a visit to the store.
There is not a doubt in my mind why retail is dying. Especially specialized retail.I need a mount for my new monitor. Should be simple right? Wrong. First I try to call, no answer. Then I text the number. No help is given to me what so ever. They just sent me back a survey. So I must go to the store. I speak to an associate there and he says that there is nothing like that here.... What I really needed was an adapter pieces. I was able to diy something myself that I found in the store. The lines are always so huge, the associates know nothing, while they are friendly and all. But honestly why would I go here if I can just find the thing I need myself online? My purpose here isnt to just write a scathing review but to save a dying industry.
Its crowded and not a lot of help available on the floor, but if you know what you are doing then there are a lot of well priced products and choices galore! I always feel like a kid in a candy store when i go there. They also have a huge section where you can nerd out and build your own rig from the ground up. Excellent prices. Dont fall for the extended warranty trap. That is just hard salesmanship. My go to place for components and my latest gaming computer.
Good experienced staff, did some homework on the laptop I was interested in, and found they were on board with it as well....I think a better place than Best Buy... staff much better here....TVs, sound equipment, computers etc...Mico was recommended and they were correct...was not rushed one bit, that was thing Ill remember...parking great as well
Ive gone to Micro Center a few times now with my husband and the customer service was great. On Black Friday a man named Fred helped me out and he was so beyond sweet and upfront! As a woman, sometimes I get the cold shoulder from other store reps, but Fred was a breathe of fresh air.
Dont waste your time. Brought my device for repair here and it fell into the black hole. First they dont share the number so you can call the store before hand, and afterwards they simply give you the run-around with your repair. I have never been so frustrated in my life with something that should have taken a few days.
For the last few years, MC has gotten a little weird. The store consolidated and the staff got younger and a bit more customer distant. The covid-19 situation has created an undertone of hostility across the store and had put me into the position where I order online, pick up in store, get out and go home. Satisfied with the material purchases, however theyre my 7-11 of tech now.
This is my go to place for computer and electronics. The store is immense and stock full of tech goodies. Its clean and the staff are attentive. The only problem I found was that the website is either slow to update or not updated at all because the aisle locations at the long island store were not the same as it was listed on the website
Everytime I step into this store I cant help but crack a massive smile. I feel like a kid in a candy store, or an anime fan at an anime expo. They literally have everything youre looking for. Please support this business, its one of the last physical locations you can buy electronics, and components at. The prices are just amazing, and the staff Ive encountered are some of the most wonderful people! Its always an amazing experience when I set foot into this store. This experience they provide is priceless, and extremely valuable to many of us that are deep in the industry!Make sure to continuously check their website for the free giveaways they do so often!!!
On the evening of January 20, 2021, I was in a hurry to print something and had run out of ink. I went over to the cartridges. Before I could check everything out, a gentleman working at the computer asked if I needed any help. When I told him what I needed, he promptly looked up the best product he could find for me. He was a lifesaver. I asked him his name so I could give him a good recommendation. Anyway, the bottom line is that I got excellent customer service from a man named Sheldon. Micro Center, please give this man a raise, a bonus, and a promotion.
Best area for shopping for computers, accessories, monitors, etc. Many other places such as best buy for example dont have the qualities that micro center has to offer. Micro center has by far the most friendly staff there is. To add on, they do a great job of cleaning and enforcing the covid-19 requirements. Props to them. Furthermore, the products that they sell have prices that are very reasonable. They even have curbside pickup. This is a huge consumer friendly thing to have. In conclusion, I would reccomend Microcenter to anyone in need of new electronics. Microcenter is the best consumer friendly store that there is. Props to them.
This place is simply the best computer/electronics store around. I am here at least once a month for something. Very generous return policy and staff are usually helpful and knowledgeable. Checkout wait times can be on the longer side but it has gotten better over time and is a small price to pay.
I bought TWO refurbished HP desktop computers, and both were lemons. One of the managers, John, was very friendly and helpful. I ended buying a new Acer, and because of the two problems, he gave me a discount without my even asking. The are very helpful and friendly in this store.
The 2 stars goes to R. Sandoval- he was great at taking in my PC for repair. the missing three is for the lack of communication between the technicians and the customer. I went a week without an update after told I would get and update within 1-2 days. Obviously, things are busy and all, but putting my PC in another person’s hands while losing out on all work, school, and gaming capabilities without any idea of what’s going on with it is super frustrating. THIS STORE NEEDS A PHONE NUMBER- The national hotline is not enough and is broken for service repair status.
Admittedly, at the age of 70, my knowledge of technology is very limited. I went to the Micro Center looking for a printer and a special connecting wire. I asked five sales people for assistance. They told me what aisle it was down but would not locate it for me. I was also told that the cable I was looking for is not stocked at their store. In frustration, I went looking for a manager. I saw an associate, whose name was Dan. Dan was working at the center where you designed your own computer. He was so unbelievably helpful and it wasn’t even his section. He took the time to walk me over and show me several selections that I could purchase. My thanks to Dan, but I will never go back to Micro Center again. What frustrated me the most was that there was a sales person standing almost at every aisle, however not one of them was willing to walk down and show me how to locate the product. Terrible customer service.
They basically have everything you would need for building a PC. There prices are competitive and the staff is nice/knowledgeable. They dont have the inventory like online stores but whenever I need something immediately they have it or something close. Very good to place to learn about computers as well.
I had a great time shopping for a gaming PC build here. The prices were comparable to online retailers but you can actually see the products, which is especially nice with things like cases. There is a ton of selection too, but you dont get all the cruft options you get online. The salesperson I spoke with was also very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me find a good deal on a M.2 SSD I hadnt considered. Worth the trip!
Very disappointed. This was my first time. I waited 16 minutes for help to purchase a webcam. There was only 2 customer service representative with 4 people waiting. The young lady that helped me eventually was very knowledgeable and polite. Then I went to the printer section. Once again 3 customers waiting with 1 service rep working. When it was my turn they had nothing in stock. There went my hour lunch break.
Micro Centers policy of not taking pre-orders “Their First Come First Served Policy “is a DISGRACE!! No Business that values its customers would make it impossible for normal working people the ability to obtain gifts for their children. BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEIR POLICY DOES!!! It’s pitiful that a major company would put God Knows What ahead of its customers!! Because they would still get the money from orders!! I have spent the last several mornings going to their store in Garden City to get my son parts he would like for Christmas. I even went so far as to travel in the Snow Storm the other day and was finally one of the first in line (But NO TRUCKS CAME) to try and get the parts. Does the Store even do something for the few of Us waiting that morning NO!!! Any kind of front of the line deal for the next day if we came back NO!!! I’m an adult who works several days a week; I have a family who I try to do the right things for. I try to help out friends and neighbors when I can and some major company treats ME with such disrespect by not having a normal policy of being able to order things. Now an observation I have noticed over the several mornings I have come to MICRO CENTER. There are several of the same PEOPLE on the front of the line every day. So people who are only doing this for profit get preference from this CORPORATION MICRO CENTER. And normal people who just want to do right by their family get SCREWED!!! Forget the fact that I’m in a high risk category and this COMPANY has NO Policy to address these costumers. A Normal way to get in line by ordering a product in advance or ONLINE IS A NORMAL WAY TO DO BUSINESS. I would like one of MICRO CENTERS CORPORATE officer’s to address this RIDICULES POLICY!! Most of US normal people don’t have time to go wait in a line early in the morning on a daily bases to be good parents to our children!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot express enough how much Hugh helped me build my first computer. I am 25 years old but I feel about 80 whenever anybody mentions anything about computer parts! I knew nothing about computers going into the store and was extremely indecisive due to my budget but Hugh not only took the time to explain things in a way even I could understand but he also was extremely patient with me when I asked him to explain things or switched out parts to try and fit my budget. As a side note, quite honestly all of the Microcenter employees that I spoke with today were extremely insightful and helpful. There was Ryan, who answered my questions about prebuilds and I didnt catch the name of the technician (?) who helped answer my questions as well (maybe it was Jason? He had a Pikachu shirt at the time though!). Both were not only insightful but were personable too!All-in-all, thank you all for such a wonderful experience!
I really had such a great experience at this location. My boyfriend and I came in to get components for my first gaming PC. Kevin F. gave a lot of insight on everything I was looking for and was interested in! He was extremely helpful and made great conversation. If you’re looking to build a pc, definitely go talk to Kevin.
This is like Toys r us for adults. So much stuff and the staff is Always knowledgeable and helpful since they work on commission, so dont hesitate to ask where to find something. They will lead you right to it and I feel good knowing it helps them out. Massive selection of things I need and didnt know I needed haha.
Sales representative M. Khan is definitely one of the good person to look for when you need assistance. We went here a few times already and most of the Representatives are helpful. Except for one CSR name Antoinette. She put wrong information in our receipt. I told her its wrong information and she said its okay have a good day. I notice her nastiness. So I dont waste my time talking to her. I went to talk to Mohammed Khan and help us through. Even though we experience this nastiness from Antoinette we still receive a good service from their other Representatives Mohammed, Sean and David. We still recommend this store for your computer and electronic needs. Good store to find what you need.Take note that we want right information since we bought Bose speaker and wanted to get the warranty next week. And Antoinette said its okay. How come wrong information is okay if you pay this much. Spending time to correct and talk to right people is the only way. And gladly others help correct it.
I haven’t been here in years. Everything was new to me and they had a diverse selection of items, from Apple products to Windows products. I went with tons of questions but the Manager Ahmad was outstanding. Patient and was able to make a smart purchase. I highly recommend this store.
Excellent selection of parts and accessories, fantastic pricing when you bundle items together. Service was excellent, helpful and polite. One employee made a simple mistake in ringing up an item and the manager gave me a discount without me asking for the inconvenience. Excellent customer service!
Thee worst customer service win the game.My laptop has been there for over 3 weeks (for a broken hinge non the less).. something I coulda fixed myself, but it would void warranty so I didn’t .I was told to text them for updates. I never hear back. I’ve been into the store 3x. No one knows what’s going on “your pc was shipped to main gear, we don’t know it’s ware about, or repair status”NEVER EVER going to them for repairs again. Rather void my warranty at this point.
Absolutely amazing place to go to, I can stay there all day and not get bored, that’s how much tech they have. If you are looking to build a pc, this is the place to go to. The customer service is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I wish was that the store was restocked faster. There are a lot of people who buy electronics from Micro center and sometimes the thing I am looking for is out of stock but otherwise it’s an awesome store. Make sure to check it out !
Made an appointment and the technician called out for the day and now I’m sitting here after driving an hour with no help… the manager told me to just come back tomorrow… I wish I would’ve received a text or email before I drove… the email received stated my technician is all set and will be ready for you
Do not buy or trust an extended warranty here! As director of it for a fairly large company 5000+ Employees I had bought one of my personal at home monitorshere with an extended warranty. They only had one scratched up shelf model but I took it because they told me I can exchange it at any time for something of the same value or higher if I pay the difference! So I got sick with Coronavirus and was unable to meet the deadline! Now they said they can do nothing for me even though I spent over $1,000 are you still love this store Ill never shop here again!
We are fortunate to have a branch here on Long island. Discovered them many years ago, and its the only place Ill buy or have a computer repaired. Its a total toy store for computer geeks!! Everything you could possibly want. If you love computers, ya gotta go there and spend an hour or so cruising the aisles. New, refurbished, and sale items galore!!
They have anything and everything that you are looking for. The service could be better. Maybe it was a bad day for him but I was told by one employee they didnt have the part for a PC, but the. When I went to another, hes like yea I got those. It was just very confusing. But I did get the part so that was good
The best computer store on long Island. My only complaint is I bought an open box motherboard which clearly no one checked. It had thermal paste in the Socket. Otherwise Ive been a happy customer. Not a complaint but a suggestion, you guys should open by at least 9. 10 is annoyingly late.
Microcenter has everything electronic, from small components like resistors and capacitors to TV sets and computers. They have much better prices than Best Buy and PC Richards and much better customer service. Its a hike for me, but its the only place ill shop for electronics.
This is the third time I showed up to the store for an item clearly listed as available to wait outside in a line. Just to have the employees tell me that the item was mislabled and never in store. I understand if you received 100 of an item and 1 less was there. But the item is a limited 1 stock restock. How hard is it to have it correct on your website? Like how hard is it to check your own website and post a sign telling us that the part isnt in stock so 30 of us arent waiting outside hoping for a chance at the item that is suppose to be there. (Just search radeon and geforce, any card over $600). Oh they say we have one, but we dont. We can probably post on the door, its not here! EDIT: and the response doesnt address my concern. Its not being sold out before I get there. It says its in store (it was not on site the night before, I refresh every morning. And I get there before store opens). But it is not actually there. Even the first person in line outside did not get to buy it. Its either mislabeled or an employee is buying it first. Both of which is unacceptable.
The store is very well organized with very helpful staff who are not pressuring you to buy anything. Micro Center prices are usually very good compared to others in the market. Has good stock and can usually get what you want if they dont have it. The web pickup counter can be a bit slow during rush hour so plan accordingly. Parking is very easy and the location is easy to get to from the highway.
Incredibly helpful and prompt staff. Their help was exceptional, I has a few questions that the staff quickly answed that solved my issue immediately when I returned home. I was looking for a certain items that I needed immediately and they provided me with everything I needed within minutes. Thank you.
The go to store for all tech accessories and repairs. I have also had good luck buying laptops here. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. And there is practically no where else to get the techie liquid of choice - bawls! Pick up some bottles at the checkout counter.
I go to this store because it’s the only parts store in the area. Sure it’s an amazing store for all your needs, some items could be priced better but overall well priced. Customer service has always been mediocre during all my visits not sure why that is. Check out is average with good and bad cashiers. Some friendly, some just want you out, some have no clue what’s going on. It’s unfortunate to have such a great store with a below average team, seems like staff are into their own convos as mentioned in other reviews. Also if they sale isn’t convenient for them they don’t bother helping, even though they see you looking for someone. Again this is a store I go to only because I need parts ASAP or have specific items I can not find anywhere else. Sorry MC not sure if it’s just your location or all.
I bought an $700 laptop with another $100 warranty and they installed windows incorrectly so my laptop crashed. I thought this was fine as I bought the warranty so I took it in. Apparently this was not the case as my warranty doesnt cover software malfunction so I now need to pay $99.99 plus tax for these guys to fix an issue they caused. If your gonna buy from here buy computer parts because the only way your computer will work is if you build it yourself.
I went here looking for a monitor and man, this is my absolute favorite store now. They have it ALL, and the staff actually know what exactly they’re talking about. I walked in, and an employee known as Cory immediately helped me. He had the patience to hear me out and showed me exactly what was right for me. He even got a second opinion to make sure I was getting the best deal. This store is well worth the 30ish minute drive from Brentwood. I will be coming back many more times.
Had not been in the store for a number of years. Glad to see that the store was reorganized and cleaned. I like the store selection of PC hardware, youre going to find what you need. Research your prices before committing to purchase anything. I find really good deals and some that make little sense. Still recommend this store, especially in a pinch.
Definitely worth a visit if contemplating anything from a new laptop to a new stylus. Online purchasing and in store pickup available. Very capable staff available. Very ample parking out front. Prices always seem reasonable with occasional sales notification via internet.
Be warned this location is keeping 3080s for themselves. The website shows them in stock for hours but the staff is rude and short with you saying someones coming to pick it up. When I reminded them that you cant order it online they changed the story and said someone picked it out and is still shopping. Well it shows available for hours today and im sure Im not the only person to waste their time driving out their. Shame on the staff.Upper management, look and see who bought the Asus 3080 on 12/16. Bet it was an employee.
Had a really pleasant experience here. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I dont have to chase them to answer my question and that was the unique factor. From an inventory perspective they are huge, well labeled aisles and neatly organized, this us a great electronics store.
Just went there yesterday to fix up my MacBook Pro because of a weird sound coming from the fan. They fixed it in less than a day under warranty and fast. My computer works 10x faster now and I love their service. Everyone there is so nice and understanding. Will definitely come back!
Amazing prices and deals. Most people buy parts for their computer online from places like Newegg, but this place had all the parts I wanted for my gaming PC, with prices I couldnt even find from the typical online places. The staff is very honest and helpful so if you have a budget you want to keep to or want to know which parts work best together, theyre happy to help.
I love this place as everyone one here is very knowledgeable about what they sell in contrast to most other places I have being to such as best buy. They specialize in selling hardware to gaming enthusiasts but you could find most things you are looking for. Most of the items you would otherwise buy online could be bought here. You would go crazy with the amount of computer monitors you see here. This is a great place to kill time and buy few things you would like to...
Great store, perhaps the only store, you should go to for Computer Parts and computer accessories. A great electronic store with extremely competitive prices. Lots of stuff on display and some computers you cant get anywhere else. The Power Spec Brand is Microcenters personal computer brand and makes computers that immesnisey cheaper than their equivalent counter parts.Good knowledgeable staff, low wait times, if you need to get a pc or anything that is PC or really electronic related this is a much better go to than best buy or some other electronic store. Also has hobbyist supplies.
I think in the 21st century we would be utilizing technology to the fullest. However it is sad to see microcenter does not have direct telephone lines to the store and now they dont want to talk to you instead they want you to send a email or text them. Its not appropriate to hold a business conversation via text or emails that what phones are for. So microcenter if you are reading this get up to date in the 21st century. I have gone to the store based on the web info of stock availability
Once again you have to love this store and the customer service there the whole team as one is a team i just want to say that i love going somewhere where the workers remember your name and ask hows the family. But most of all i just admire this lady that works there and her name is ms charu b. Shes the best. Keep up the good work micr center .
Microcenter is a great place to get computer hardware or any electronic for that matter. The people are very friendly and this place practices good business. If you need to return something, it is virtually hassle free. I highly recommend this store over a Best Buy or PC Richard Etc.
This place is terrible theres no customer service to talk to them to help us with my Computer. I spend $1500 for the the parts to plug and play, but no, it wont post. To help me I have to PAY $45 just to help me. No way. I rather return all the parts i buy and forget about doing it. IT TERIBLE.
Always helpful and always willing to go the extra mile, yes theres always likes near the end of the day. But its to be expected because they are friendly and less expensive then other stores like best buy, or Staples.Great staff!I always go to this store for advice and purchases. I also recommend this store to my family, friends, and clients.
Was able to get in and out in 15 min. Salespeople were helpful and understood what I wanted. Used the components to improve a old macbook pro for my kids to use. Two hours later my kids had a newly rebuilt newish macbook. Prices mirrored on line retailers and was quick. Why pay for shipping...
Great variety of stuff you cant find at best buy.Needed an M.2 enclosure. The Vantec is pricier than online, but very high quality and you can pick up in store.I am a tech helping my family buy, and the laptop sales guy was helpful while being hands off/no pressure. Also noticed they carry J5 create products, quality stuff.
I dont know if they didnt think I was buying or they dont just ask if you need help. But ok what ever, it is what it is. I got it after I asked for what I needed and specs was said to get compatible memory. But at the end the young man at check out was very polite and brought up a small conversation made me forget that feeling earlier. Maybe it was just that day or I just might as well shop online. Lets see if any sales would take me back.
If you like gadgets they have it all, and even a clearance rack! They dont doll the place up, its simply products on shelves organized coherently, with some ridiculously low priced accessories. The in store pickup is extremely convenient and easy to utilize.Their prices are generally excellent, particularly when some of the products are on sale, they often are historic low prices for it.I think the sales staff work on commission, that being said, this has absolutely no bearing (that I have seen) on what the sales staff try to sell you. If you want a 40 TV, they wont shove the new 68 8k5dVR tv in your face to try and upsell, they will help you find a 40 TV suitable for you.I hope they eventually open a store out East.
I love the store but once you buy you will never get them on the phone. Phone service and support literally does not exist! If you run a business you are better off sourcing someone else. I was told I would get a phone call back 5 xs now and not once was a phone call made to me.Okay so the original complaint was about calling. They since took away the ability to call and now allow for in store questions, email or online text... Its been an hour and still waiting for an online agent....
Micro Center is the candy store for electronic junkies. I build PCs and I love this place. Theres very little markup and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The stores layout could use a bit of an update, finding more special items (in my case, a pci extension ribbon) can be difficult, especially if the staff are already helping others. But this place has always been very kind and the highlight of my days when I go here. I absolutely recommend you go here no matter what your level of knowledge/expertise is.
Joe L. welcomed me and offered EXCEPTIONAL services in purchasing a Macbook Pro for my mother. Joe L. was BEYOND HELPFUL, PATIENT, and KNOWLEDGEABLE on the specifics of the computer and he took his time in guiding me along my purchase. When he offered an extended guarantee on the purchase of the Mac, it was a no-brainer: I went back today and purchased it. He thanked me for my return and another staff member, Corey, was so helpful as well! KIND, PATIENT, SMART STAFF! THE BEST service I have EVER received! Thank you, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL! Affordable prices... truly, THE BEST!
This place has (probably) everything a geek could ever need. If you need a part and cant wait for Amazon, this is the answer. Repair services offered are probably ideal for novice and less-than-savvy tech folks. (DIYers and hard-core folks might find their services a bit over-priced, though.)

If you a computer or electronics enthusiast then this is probably the last brick and motor store that you can walk into and buy absolutely everything you need for your computer or electronics project. From gaming PCs to Routers to Hobby Grade Rockets to soldering equipment to resistors to raspberry pies, its here. The staff is fairly knowledgeable and their prices are very competitive when in it comes to PC hardware. Great return policies, and excellent promotions that provide free items. I really cant say enough good things.

2022-06-16They have a wide selection of cables, dongles, and accessories for computers or phones. The staff was really willing to help me get what I needed. Best of all when one of the staff members didnt know which was a better option he got another person to help me out, allot of places the staff wont do that.

2022-06-20Took awhile to find someone to help me, they didnt have my item (power supply), first told me they did, made me look for it again before looking it up on their phone, then tried telling me I could have it in a week. Not sure how theyll stay in business. Amazon had it cheaper and delivered it the next day. Wanted to like this place but every part of the experience was disappointing. Maybe youll have better luck?
