Microsoft has done a wonderful job setting up this flagship store on Fifth Avenue. This 3-story building features everything that Microsoft makes and also offers great in-person support for those that may need a little extra help with their Microsoft devices. For those that are undecided about whether or not to purchase a Microsoft device, there are plenty of demo models to play with to help with your decision-making process. The employees are all extremely helpful and there is rarely a crowd at the store.
Really nice and fun store to be in. Each floor has different themes and it’s really really fun to be in. I recommend to everyone. The only thing I didn’t like was that the employees upstairs assumed I wasn’t 18+ to play the VR fallout game. Had to give my ID to prove my age but overall things were fine. Employees could be rude at times though. But overall alright experience.
I figured out who took the bite.For so long I’ve been so beholden to Apple. The years went by let’s be real. Apple approach to Coustmer interactions is garbage. From the stores/ monasteries, to the belittling attitudes, and their “ I can help you only with apple support” attitude. Gets exhausting.The experience at the Microsoft store is a complete contrast. There ability to foster relationships and anticipate one needs was shocking ( I mean I still dealing with my PTSD from apple. They are like the warm blanket and chicken soup calmly saying “this is Coustmer service”) .When I walked in the store. They were so welcoming. I think every employee welcomed me and acknowledged me. Everyone was attentive and ready to help🤯. As I was waiting for my appointment the offered me to play in there gaming room. I never played 360and the guy who was working helped me set up the game.?? Like what..As I moved down stairs to the appointment area ( the environment was tranquil) I was offered water. The took my computer engaged in conversation. Assured me of my concerns. Out the door I was.A few minutes later the guy who took my computer gave me a follow up call 😵💫. Through out the time my computer was there the called me everyday to keep me in the loop.Fast forward I go to pick my computer and the same service again. But this time all the people in the store remembered me and it was more efficient.The conclusion is; Microsoft is now what Apple lost. This was hospitality grade 5 star service.That’s luxury!!
I went into the store today because I dropped my Xbox elite series 2 controller and like some of you know. Everything falls out but this time the trigger and the stick stopped clicking. I was assisted by DAIJA today and she made everything quick and easy. They gave me a brand new controller in replacement for the old one. 10/10
This place had 7 floor with tour every hour to their upper level. They have all the new product here for testing. Floor 1-3 have ton of space to check out This store have staff to help everything that you will need to get set up for VR and other new product. Will go back again next time in the area.Great place to go to spend some free time.As with covid-19 there are a lot of changr that is happening. Extremely overpriced notebook- (surface pro) and desktop computers (surface studio) in a faux Apple store without working water fountainThe aesthetic is shamelessly copied from Microsofts competitor a few blocks north: white walls, bright wood, oversized dining room tables, lots of glass and glass stairs. Do all the worshippers in this open access cathedral realize that the overpriced electronics pay for the aesthetic experience of the store.Apple genius bar, excuse me bar with Microsoft techies on second floor. Dark gaming den on third floor: this apparently is the future - forget about Central Park and shut out Fifth Avenue. Who needs that now that we have gone bonkers ... ahem, virtual?
Outstanding customer service - over and beyond the call of duty ..I went in for a problem - despite being out of warranty and not having an appointment, the friendliest staff in the world took their time to listen and solve my issues ….Walking into a massive corporate store and be treated like I was in a local mom & pop store - beyond impressed.
Customer service doesnt exist. I lost valuable amount of time to try and get assistance with no tangible results. This is not acceptable for such as successful company and its unrespectful for all the customers made possible your escalation.Hope you improve this and invest more in the customer service.
Experience center is lovely. Clean, well-lit, and well-organized. Received good service the times Ive gone, but heavens forbid you need to speak to someone at the store afterwards. Your call is routed overseas, they ask a host of details (not pertinent to your query), then say theyll notify the store to call you back, but itll take 24-48 hrs to receive a response?! Why is the in-person presentation flawless, but the behind-the-scenes so difficult and frustrating?
Awesome place. Went through the VIP tour today. I want to thank Daniel, one of the staff members here, for such a wonderful experience. Microsoft has really innovated itself a lot, and today’s experience really made me to reconsider my overall thoughts on Microsoft brand.
My children took a coding class here with Jaime and he was knowledgeable and fun to be with. This coding class covers more than coding, it works on art and science as well. My children has a blast designing the planets and the background orbiting in space. Thank you so much ❤️.
Amazing three story store that caters to all sorts of customers. On the first floor is basic Microsoft computers, mice, monitors, etc. On the second floor it is half Xbox and half Microsoft computers. On the third floor is a full fledge Xbox gaming center. There is several computers, large TVs, and a hydraulic racing system! The staff are so passionate and they have experience (the gamer helpers are gamers, and the computer helpers use computers). Incredible store, highly recommend!
I was having an issue that I could not get timely help through the online customer service channel, extremely frustrated I decided to go into the experience center and had it taken care of on the spot. Alejandro was amazing! He wanted to ensure that I had the best customer service experience possible! There is so much that still can be said for in-person high quality customer service!
Loved this place. Several floors to go through. Staff was friendly. You can lounge and test out computers. I love Xbox and theres plenty of Xbox consoles, games, controllers, charge kits... Its Xbox heaven. I had an amazing experience and loved what I bought. Its an awesome place to visit for gamers and Xbox fans 🎮❤️
This place is a great store to visit while in NYC! 🗽 The Microsoft Experience Center is a cool 😎 place to walk around and explore all the recent Microsoft hardware innovation (latest laptops 💻, PC 🖥️, tables 📱, etc.). They can also help you debug issues in your existing Microsoft devices. They second floor has an amazing collection of gamer PCs and even a Virtual Reality (VR) experience you can try. Staff is nice and welcoming! I wish I came here more often!
Alejandro was very knowledgeable and experienced. He was able to compare our x box to all the Xbox’s available and we ended up buying one. I didn’t want to carry it around during the day so they held it till the end of the day. Overall, very good service and experience. We are happy that they had in stock an Xbox series x that is sold out everywhere.
First time checking this store out. Wanted to by a 15” Surface Laptop. Staff was very nice. They didn’t have any in stock, walked me through the in store order process and told me I’d get it delivered within 2-3 days. Didn’t realize till later in the confirmation email that the delivery date was FIFTY-TWO days away. Yikes! Ultimately fruitless trip. Super nice staff but frustrating experience trying to buy something and didn’t give accurate information.
I brought my MS Surface Pro 6 into the store yesterday because a couple of days ago I tried to turn it on and nothing happened. No warning beforehand - nothing. I bought it 13 months ago - meaning the warranty period ended last month. Someone greeted me at the door, I explained why I was there, and he guided me to the correct desk to have it looked at. I explained my problem to Jaime - and he asked me a few questions while looking it over. After going in the back and talking to his manager, he said that even though my warranty had ended, they would give me a new Surface to replace my dead one. So, we did some paperwork, he made sure I could set it up correctly and I walked out with a new Surface. Of course, its sad that a $1,000 item could die at any time with no mishandling from the owner, but at least they were willing to replace it. We have had a few similarly great experiences at this store and would definitely recommend them to anyone. Jaime too was really knowledgeable and friendly.Moral of this story: BACK UP YOUR DATA! You could wake up one morning to a computer that wont turn on and lose everything!
I contacted customer support to help me with a charger that had died (under warranty). They assisted me in contacting the store. I made an appointment that same night, to com into the store for assessment and replacement. It couldnt have gone smoother. After a short wait, a technician and an observing trainee helped me very quickly get the replacement I needed. With that wrapped up, I walked around the store, which was a delight. Very cool displays of their products. On the third floor, theres even a place to sit and play games ( I was told there is an hour time limit, but I didnt stick around too long anyways.) Second floor there are also games, tables, and the technician center. The first floor housed the majority of the products they have to offer, as well as very friendly and helpful sales floor representatives. I purchased a sleeve for my laptop, and I must say, had a very good time overall, which isnt always expected when dealing with retail, so kudos. I was helped by the technician Ronald and the representative Germain. Class members of the Microsoft staff. Five stars. Worth checking out the store, even if you have no plans for making a purchase. Its a really cool place.
Awesome. This is exclusively for the fans of Microsoft products, from tablets, notebooks, students computers, small businesses, education, big screens, Microsoft phones, Microsoft headphones, slick designed mouses, amazing keyboards, Xbox joysticks/controllers and more. Welcoming atmosphere and kind service from the workers.My description is not really justifying this place. How about you stop by when youre in times square...
Have a dead Surface Dial bought from Amazon (sold by Amazon) and there is no in store help. I have tried online support, in store staff tried it too, but stuck in loop on Microsoft support website (thats a failure too). Kaene was still very helpful, kudos to her. Was suggested to call a phone number :/ Just sad that experience at Microsoft Experience Center for their own device was disappointing.
The technicians dont check the version of Windows on the defective Surface Book I took in and they replaced it with the Home version hence the device becomes limited in a corporate environment. Overall, MS phone support could do a better job working hand in hand with the centers techs.
Horrible customer service, they barely seem to understand the intricacies of the hardware they sell. I tried to exchange my broken charger and they had none in stock. The guy who was suppose to be helping me said he would be back and never came back. And then they told me to go to Best Buy instead when my device is under warranty. They seemed to care more about their personal conversations. Than helping me, I have an online case already. They never asked for my information or to see my support order. This is a joke for the Microsoft flagship store. Worst customer service this isn’t a mall kiosk!
Microsoft online support was not helpful in replacing my in warranty surface book. I had to fight with online support and they sent me a broken laptop 7 TIMES! Afrer calling thr manager at this Microsoft store (which is the last one open in the USA), Chris was very helpful. He checked warranty status over the phone, and I drove 4 hours each way to get to this store and he met me personally and exchanged my device without questions asked. I will never buy a surface device again just because of the warranty experience from online support. The store, however, was amazing and staff was friendly and helpful!
It was HORRIFYING. Then they made the problem worst. I callthe manager Jason and tech Kai YET never got a callback. The message was taken by a guy identified as John. I called to to qualify a charge on my account for a game that I already owned, the tech that spoke to me was rude and hung up the phone on me without resolving my issue! Thus is not the only time thus company has done some disrespectful and derogatory things to me, they go into your account and draw money even if your account is locked for things that you cancel and never return your money! I want my money back for the Call of duty game you charged me twice for
I recently interviewed at the Microsoft experience center I just wanted to share my feedback on the interview process which I felt was extremely unprofessional .When I arrived to the store around 1:20 pm I spoke with security which they had no idea about a hiring event.After I put my information due to Covid safety security had to verify .I had to wait almost half an hour to get inside the manager came down finally . The applicants and myself were then escorted to a certain floor ,we sat down and did some introductions ,afterwards the interviews started in separate offices where we interviewed with 3 different managers in less than half an hour ,what I found uncomfortable was Gabe Cordona he interrupted several times knocking on the door ,I believe to say we need to rotate after several minutes during the interviews I felt like it was so unprofessional and it just made me loose interest in the job , I thought Microsoft was going to be professional I interviewed in various companies Like Google , Apple , Samsung etc and the experiences were awesome .
This place is just sad. It did start as a apple store wanna be, and somehow it did work. Now is just a display of products that either nobody wants, or if there is something that everyone wants to buy then nobody can. Xbox series X Im looking at you. Anyway, this is just a showroom where people can go and see and touch what they will have to buy online. You had something good Microsoft, now you just have a very expensive advertisement.
Today, I had a fantastic experience with staff Stone. He spent a lot of time explaining the surface book 2 and catered to my need. He made me feel confident about using my new computer. The purchase experience was fast and easy, and Stone inspired total trust and expertise.
Wow. I went in and was greeted by a nice employee who really seemed to care about my battery not holding a charge anymore. I didnt have an appointment but she found someone to help me right away. That was Jose, about whom I cannot say enough fantastic things. He was beyond helpful, enthusiastic, and even got me coffee when I asked. It could have been a miserable experience trading this Surface Pro in but the team at this store went above and beyond to impress and make things right. Jose really, really knew his stuff so thoroughly and even went out of his way to tell me extra things to make sure I got the most use and functionality out of my device. I cannot say enough nice things about how helpful he was.
I go here during my breaks often, and Ive never had a bad experience. I end up in a conversation with someone who works there and somehow an hour has flown by. Theyre great and I love to come here to get my Xbox and Surface accessories. The 3rd floor even has free gaming!
I really loved it here. I was about an hour early and they allowed to sit upstairs and wait. One tech even came over and began working on my problem early. They did a fantastic job of recovering and restoring my surface pro 4!💯This store is bright, well stocked and clean! Has elevators a restroom for customers and very friendly staff. I would recommend it anytime and definitely use them again!
Wow. The experience I had at this location goes above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. It is all thanks to Johnathon M. He was by far the sweetest and most intelligent retailer I have ever dealt with. Such a kind heart and very knowledgeable about everything! I asked for his help and he took his time answering my questions, had the patience of a saint. We had an excellent conversation beyond Microsoft as well! To top it off, when he heard my flight got canceled he offered me a place to sleep (thankfully the buses were not canceled, but it was heart warming to receive such a selfless offer)! Great, great man. And the store is pretty cool too!
They say first impressions matter, and Im glad to report that this store passed the test.I was here for an event hosting veterans and the staff where on top of things. From receiving, to directions and officially welcoming.Guess what, they got more stuff going on in here than just buying, fixing Microsoft products. Do you want to introduce your kids to coding, programming and more fun stuff for free that are career paths? There are programs for kids here. There are also programs for adults too, along with information about certifications online.Did I mention games? Definitely worth the time spent.
The store is great but is ruined by random people that make it their office. Either by standing at the display laptops to be on their phone or to Google how to finish last. Went in store to decide on which laptop to buy but those I wanted to see were being used for anything but what theyre supposed to.Customer service is fantastic but if you only have one display unit per model perhaps you should consider not allowing library mode.
Excellent customer service. Really personable and problem solvers.I needed a Surface laptop charger ASAP that I lost during travel. They ran out of these chargers so initially they let me use a spare to charge up my laptop but then later was able to procure a charger for me. Most sales associates would have just said sorry, we sold out. These guys really pulled through.And really clean restrooms too.
I purchase a computer but it was the wrong one I needed something more powerful then the store closed because of the pandemicI spend almost $3000 on itIm trying to return this since April!! I spoke to several people still nothingI never thought that these people could be so unprofessional I mean is the official Microsoft store you should expect a lot more from themI end up getting a new computer from Best Buy and maybe one day microsoft will care enough to send me a return label
Great place. Staff are nice and helpful. They give tours during which you can experience augmented reality and in-home iMax theatres. They have space for gamers that can be used for free for both Xbox and PC to play and stream, and another floor for more professional gaming settings that teams can use and includes a control room,cameras and casters set.
Great customer service, very attentive staff. My old surface was playing up and I needed to get to the heart of the problem. Was very pleased with how very thorough they were (considering the end result was that my 7 year old computer was probably on its way to retirement)
I went for repair help and the technicians there were very helpful. They were willing to do anything to assist me in whatever problem I had. They even went out of their way to help me when they didnt have to. It wasnt too crowded and the building was very cool to look at. The first two floors were filled with interactive Microsoft products that the sales people were happy to help us out with.
From the moment you walk in the door you know its our friendly staff with a happy smile welcome you in this place. With the latest and hottest technology around windows from the outside in makes this Microsoft Store wonderful. I came in to make multiple returns during the holiday season and the staff members were quite Pleasant to work with. They honored all my returns with my receipt in timely fashion and its just a great place to be around to demo all current products.
All staff are always happy, welcoming and real helpful. To make an appointment it is easy and not that long to wait. They also have a lot of devices you can play with try out to make sure what youre buying is the device you need. Music is great with or without DJ. And all staff are knowledgeable.
Amazing place for the people that loves new technologies! They have a separeted floor just for gaming stuff, they offer a lot of machines to try out new games and new gear as well as VR! The staff is really helpful and kind. I bought xbox from this store for my son and the staff made the whole purchase fast and easy without any troubles! Everything is smooth and convenient in this store! Good job Microsoft!
My husband and I love this store! Great service, very knowledgeable staff. The staff is very helpful and professional. Good customer service is something hard to find today, the Microsoft store on Fifth Ave has it and more. We brought in our Surface Pro and Dell laptop, they fixed our issues and had them back to us in no time. Our service advisor Jevon G. was very good we really appreciated his help. I would definitely recommend this store.
Very nice and clean. Not very soft though. 3rd floor is like a dream game room a party. Also you can have parties on the 3rd floor. 1st floor is windows computers, 2nd floor are video-game consoles, help bar, and workshops, and the third floor has already been mentioned. Fun place to spend lunch
Staff wasnt entirely as helpful as I wouldve expected including the fact one tried asking me out, (flattering but no thanks). Store had everything you needed except much info to break the product downs since each model has different accessibility to software and such (as expected)
Everyone is very welcoming. Jose, Monique and Angel were all of great assistance. Jose sat there and transferred all my files onto the new laptop and also showed me some new features. Everyone was very helpful. Im glad they were able to help me out. Definitely recommend making a visit.
This store is great! They sell PCs, Xbox consoles, video games, and plenty more. The workers are nice, knowledgeable, and take the time to answer your questions. There are multiple floors. The last floor is a gaming room - PC and Xbox. Great place to go for shopping and checking out the gaming room.
I was there to make a purchase of an Xbox One S. They have almost all items on display at the store and the ambiance is really nice. The representatives are very helpful and knowledgeable too. Had a little trouble with the bundle I was trying to purchase but it was resolved instantly by the store manager. Overall, it was a great experience. 1-up goes for the store being very close to the subway.
The workers there always seem happy and upbeat. When walking out they were dancing, they even have a gaming room on the 3rd floor, and the prices for things are less than you would expect. All smiles there, planning to go back on my next visit (Wouldnt mind working there either)
I wish Id thought to come in here sooner! The staff was very helpful in diagnosing the issues with my laptop. The peace of mind knowing that Microsoft brand was behind the work (versus some computer fix it shop) cannot be ignored. They turned it around very quickly and kept me informed all the way through and gave me honest and reasonable options.

Always busy and the staff is attentive. Do your research before you go into the store. Offering sales, service and classes & like the 🍎 store, people are playing games, charging their phones and using the devices—they have VR gaming setups that really draws in a crowd.
Clean store and aesthetic. Unfortunately, it took about 10 minutes for an employee to come around and ask if help was needed. The intention was to buy a Microsoft Surface Pro as quickly as possible. They explain the products as well at they can and the staff is both friendly and aware of what customers are looking for in the products. This store is highly recommended for anyone looking into Microsoft products.
Staff is very friendly. Had some great tech conversations - very balanced and not pushy in their sales approach. Store has a clean and airy look to it, bright enough but not blindly bright. It is very easy to find the tech you want to buy or check out there...good job, Microsoft.
This is the flagship store for the company. In addition to show casing all of its computers, gaming systems, and more; there are many interactive gaming products to try that can only be experienced at the store as they are in concept. Be sure to ask for a tour of the store as there are many hidden gems including a twitch gaming studio. Also, check the store website for events as there are many free offered at this location.
Best customer service Ive ever gotten in my life. I wish all brands were like this. Every time I have an issue its resolved in a way that exceeds my expectations.I had an issue with my performance base surface Book, so I came to the store to diagnose it. There it was determined it needed to be replaced. However, they did not have that model in stock. Guess what though? They didnt want me to wait for new stock to come, so they simply replaced it with the newer model (Surface book 2) with the same specs!!! Amazing!!! I would never ask for such a thing!!! And thats just one example. They are truely the best! Thank you Microsoft!
Buyer Beware! Purchased an Xbox for my son, it was shipped the next day then requested by them halfway through shipment to return to store (according to UPS) Called customer service no one can explain what’s going on. Everyday a customer rep is supposed to call me and never did not even the supervisor could give me an answer so clearly some sought insider trader was going on. Took me over a week to get a refund and still no answer and now the item is out of stock. Go figured!!!!! Dishonest company!!!!!
So much fun! They have a virtual reality free trial going on right now, its pretty long for being free (about 15 minutes). The sales associates dont bother you too much when you just want to play around on the computers and try everything out, but there is always someone near by to help answer your questions!
Great customer service. Came in to return the Microsoft Surface Laptop and didnt have to deal with any push back. The reps there were super friendly. I returned the item after I was having issues with it blue screening (after two laptops) but also because it wasnt meeting my needs. Im also a huge proponent of USB C and the Surface proprietary cable was just horrific.Anyhow, the store was a pleasant experience and would go back if I need to.
Really good reinterpretation of an Apple store. The gaming station at the front is really nice, but the 3rd floor has a much cooler set of games to try (somewhat affiliated with the Microsoft store). Plenty of helpful employees as well to help you find the best solution for you. And you can play with everything. All in all, a really nice experience.
Very pleasant experience. Transactions all went smoothly. Doorarine, The Tech, took plenty of time with me updating and setting up the computer. When something didn’t go right with passwords, etc., they often re-assured my with “No problem, take your time.” A fine ambassador for Microsoft!I’ve lusted for this Surface 2 for 6 months and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
The place is well manned and the staff is friendly and helpful. Each of its three floors offer a different experience of the Microsoft products. The Xbox consoles set up on the second floor definitely draw a crowd.My issue was dealt with a professional and courteous attitude.
Angel was a great sales associated. He had real time experience with a product I was interested in, and addressed all of my concerns before I bought the my new headphones. The store is clean and modern. I was very happy that I was in and out within 15 minutes without being hussled on getting a new laptop.
Fantastic experience in the store. My surface pro had stopped recognizing the separate keyboard. It was still under warranty and they replaced the machine then and there. Also helped me set up and check the new machine. Great service and a special shout out to Craig who was extra helpful.
The old Microsoft store was better. There were gaming desktops to play on, but now there are none. And there is a keyboard and mouse hooked up with a monitor, but we aren’t allowed to use it and we can only use the controller. I feel like the store mostly shifted towards Xbox.
This is a really nice place with several floors to explore. I was here for an educational workshop held in three different days. I was able to experience the new technology such as the Halogram lenses, the IMAX theater, and the live stream gaming studio. The store itself has many decides to test out. As you walk around, you are free to see and test the devices without the pressure of someone spying on you to sell the devices, and end up uncomfortable being there.
I expected high pressure sales and/or unknowledgeable stuff with quotas to hit. Instead I learned so much about the cool stuff Microsoft is doing and met people Id hang out with outside of work if it wasnt so awkward to tell them that. Bravo to who ever is managing the vibe here. It really blew my expectations out of the water. So much more than I expected.
The store itself is amazing but I do wish the service was a little nicer. No greetings when when we first came in, no help unless we asked. They were plenty nice after we asked. Not too technical on the specifics of products but they have a good general idea of what you need. There was one thing that irritated us a lot. We requested a print out for our tickets to MSG and were denied. Its a simple request and other stores glady would accept.The do have a pretty cool gaming floor.
I go into Microsoft stores quite frequently to browse and either end up getting pestered by every employee or get absolutely no help at all. I recently went in to spend $1500 on a laptop and it took 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to help me out. They tried to sell the warranty but weren’t too pushy. When they were waiting for someone to retrieve it out of inventory the sales guy didn’t tell me what was going on and they were walking around talking to their coworkers. It was an awkward experience and I’m glad I knew exactly what I wanted.
Brilliant store! The staff are very good people and always tells you of a better deal regardless if it is cheaper or not. The Virtual Reality Experience was amazing there and I highly recommend it to everyone. Overall the best microsoft store Ive been to quality-wise!
They are constantly calling me and I have nothing to do with them I have none of their products I have never signed up with them I have never done any business with them but they call me at least once and sometimes twice a day. I cant seem to get ahold of a real person that is in the United States I always end up being transferred to another country to where whoever it is that Im speaking to speaks broken English and cant understand half of what they say. Obviously Microsoft does not care about the quality of their staff nor do they care about the concerns of the public by constantly harassing me
If you ever have some free time and just want to have some low cost fun then this is the place. Take the Microsoft tour and have fun in the corporate stores awesome game room. Take the experience tour and get a free gift. The staff is very friendly and its so worth the visit.
Definitely worth stopping by if you have teenagers. There are games to play and not too many people. The teen camps are a bit of a joke though. The animators have no idea how to talk to teens (they talk to them like 5 year olds about teamwork, good habits, etc.) and parents have to stay with their kids the entire time. My kids didnt go back after the first day.
Worst place to go ever. Expect a 30 min wait even if you have an appointment.I had to wait for more than 30 mins just to drop off my device for repair even with an appointment. The worse part is that when I go pick up my device, I waited for an hour with an appointment.... Nobody came up to me until I finally lost my patients and asked an employee. Apparently the guy who checked me in did not do anything or forgot to check me in. They said nothing and then just asked me to sit down, no apologies what so ever then back to chatting with their fellow employee.In the mean time, lots of employees are just walking around or chatting with eachother acting like they are really “busy,” while telling other customers “There’s gonna be a long wait” for those customer trying to check in on their appointment time.Such an easy place to work for employees at this place and make money while using their mouth on eachother rather than actually serving customers.09/16/19
I didnt know what to expect. My Surface Pro screen was cracked. By all accounts the touch screen was dead and screen wasnt worth spit. When the specialist met with me, Lili, she explained my options completely offered suggestions. She was very knowledgeable and patient. While I couldnt afford any of the options, she disabled the touch aspect and said if I wanted I could use the computer if I wanted to cast to a different viewing device.
I bought a product here and price matched it to another retailer after checking the validity of my claim. On my next visit, the staff was quick to help me and very efficient in their hand-off to a service rep. There is a lot of noise pollution in the store though but that may be a given as a result of the location.

There was a disagreement because I did not want a refurbished laptop as a replacement when I spent $1000 on a completely NEW laptop. The technician Jose who was supposed to assist me through this process and communicate what was wrong, essentially provided minimal support and wanted me to sign some unidentified forms WITHOUT having reviewed what this form was. After I said I dont feel comfortable and that I wanted to hold off until I spoke with customer service at Microsoft (the 1800 number) he rolled his eyes and laughed. He snickered and said some things to his two fellow co-workers (one of who was named Juan) who instead of doing their jobs found my frustrating situation soooo amusing. They kept bickering and saying very condescending things about me when I stood RIGHT next to them (e.g., why is she still here....). This went on until 30mins until I snapped. I felt ostracized and never felt so disrespected in my life. It was to the point where a supervisor on site had to help deescalate the situation and tell both JUAN and JOSE to leave my proximity. It wasnt until I escalated this situation with supervisors that their face were regretful and they realized how serious the situation was.IF YOU CHOOSE INDIDVUALS LIKE JUAN AND JOSE TO REPRESENT YOUR COMPANY, I WILL NEVER MAKE A PURCHASE WITH ANOTHER MICROSOFT RELATED PRODUCT AGAIN (and this applied to my family members and friends- oh you bet I will share this experience with them).Juan and Jose your actions were DEPLORABLE and you should feel ashamed of how you treat your customers. Do you find it so amusing to make fun of customers who are distressed? Thats DISGUSTING. Seeing how you thought it was OK for you both to harass me (a WOMAN FROM AN UNDERREPRESENTED BACKGROUND) for more than half an hour is ridiculous. I cant even imagine the extent to how many other customers you treated like this and how your actions went unnoticed for this long. You met the wrong person today. Probably reflects the downfall of Microsoft as a company.Very lame place.Nothing great on offer to show. Surface laptops strewn across the store doesnt make for a great display.No one in this flagship store could explain convincingly how Surface is a better deal than MacBook Air. Not did they explain about the $200 discount being offered at the time of my visit.
Was really nice visitting this place. As a tech enthusiast I felt right at home. Super friendly and helpful staff, a lot of stuff to try out and buy also one staff member approached me and asked me if I wanted to do the FREE V.I.P tour of the building. If you have the chance do it. They have a lot of awesome stuff to show off up there in the upper floors.
Great selection of cool gear and very knowledgeable assistance.This is the computing device un-chain store. The place is trendy but doesnt feel like a cult palace. Lots of cool gear displayed on three floors. The devices actually work and are connected to the internet. The store employees are very knowledgeable and not pushy. After sales service is excellent. This store hosts lots of free clinics and events. Teen friendly game and gear corners while parental figures purchase one of the cool new Surface Books or tablets or manage to get their hands on a cool Surface Studio. A worth a visit place.
I went to have them check my Surface Pro 3, it got a little wet from coffee and seemed like it wasnt getting charged anymore. They did VERY LITTLE troubleshooting. I left thinking my surface was garbage. But when I asked my neighborhood computer fix it store, we discovered that it was actually accepting charge still. My garbage is still a jewel!
This place is a little(but not so little) piece of tech and geek heaven. They have amazing tours that let you experience the Hololens and also the Vive. The staff is beyond friendly and super knowledgeable. I will be going back here whenever a new product comes out to check it out.
I went to the Apple store first to check out the apple macbook pro. However the place was way too crowded and couldnt get any service from the Apple staff. Headed down to the Microsoft store and was surprised by the great service they provided. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the store was clean and I was also able to try on the virtual reality headset, which was awesome.
I had a fabulous experience with Doonarine. He spent a lot of time with me and showed me what I need. He made me feel confident about using my new computer. Worst experience ever! I had to bring in my laptop because my hard drive was failing and I was trying to save it. I ended up with the most arrogant staff member. He acted as if I didnt even know how to turn on a computer! All he wanted was to push the drive to fail so Id leave my laptop and have to pay money to get it semi fixed. He was able to get into the hard drive but would not give me anything that would allow me to back up the stuff on the drive. I ended up taking everything back home and tried to save it myself but the damage was done. I ended up buying a new hard drive. If I could avoid Windows altogether I would.
Doonarine is absolutely terrific. Knows his stuff, his help is wonderful. So many places have kids working the floor who just see you as a one time customer, never to be seen again. Doonarine sees you as a person he wants to help make you feel welcome to come back and be a client again. There are no accidents in the world…I had worked extensively with him when he had his own repair shop and I brought numerous machines for repair. So it was no surprise after not seeing him for years that I walked into Microsoft and there he was….welcoming me again with open arms!
There are definitely a lot of stuff to choose from. Personally a fan of Microsoft products. I came here to have my surface 3 looked at. Apparently its free? They didnt help much and they made me wait quite a while and all they did was fumble around and shuffle through. So yay for the store, nay for tech support.
This place is amazing to say the least. It has 5 plus floors of geekdom lol. I loved every sec I was in that store. The staff are very helpful even though they are strict with their appointment policy, its a good system. My problem started with my Xbox X , I just couldnt get it to work , every error code showed up and my system refused to work so I came to Microsoft. Jose was my helper and was very helpful. He got me my system and went home. Now the fun begins. I get home and I cant wait to plug my system up, the Refurbished Xbox X I was sold because my warranty expired. Dude it doesnt work. I was devastated to say the least. I got this from the Microsoft store, it gets to work, so I tried and waited and tried and waited to no avail. It didnt work. Now Im mad , Im so angry at the world , y me. I pack everything up and go back to Microsoft. I arrive and you could see the steam rising from my head and the first thing I get asked is , do I have an appointment? Lol. Boy if he knew the words that were about to come out my mouth but I just breathe and said no and went on to explain what happened. He said something about appointment again and thats when I asked to see the manager. The manager arrived, his name is Jordan. Man am I glad I met this guy. He made my gaming Gods so happy with his managerial decisions and gave me a brand new Microsoft Xbox X with a game. Man I cant wait to get home. To say the least Lol, I am genuinely happy with this place. Next time Ill add photos because its beautiful in there.
Super cool place. The staff there is all pretty chill, being helpful they will assist you and answer your questions, and even occasionally letting people play videogames on some of the big screens too! The store has all the Microsoft items you could need, while also having other cool things to show. Some the notable things are the demos for hololens and vive, and the occasional seminars/classes going on for free to anyone that comes in. Its a cool store, and even if youre not going to buy something its a good stop to just chill out for a bit and have fun!
Ive know about this store for a while but never ventured in. I stepped in the other day to browse around and was pretty interested in learning more about the products and store. What caught my attention was the other floors they had (particularly the IMAX room) and when I asked about it they told me about the free tour they offer. I returned for the tour today and it was so much fun! Who wouldve thought they had 7 floors in there! Daniel was the tour guide and did an EXCELLENT job, I learned so much more than I anticipated which is great! I will most likely return for one of the free workshops they offer and to try out the VR :)
Despite of other positive reviews, mine wasnt good. Had to go the store on several occasions. Noticed a tendency that whatever items were on sale, those were not in stock. Last time, music was so loud that had to ask a sales rep to speak louder. After several tries decided to buy a Lenovo laptop. I was sold a wrong model than the one was listed on the display. Realized that when I got home, because had to open the box and turn on the unit. Box didnt have detailed description although the price was same for two different items. When returned the item and wanted to exchange to the one I wanted, the store didnt have definite answer when they were expecting it back in stock. Was not available online either. I guess same story with whatever is on sale, is not in stock
They couldnt fix my one-month-old Microsoft go and they replaced it with a new one. While I was waiting for the updates and getting everything situated. I took advantage of the time and did some virtual reality Tour on one of their Gadget thingy thingies, it was amazing.
Had to bring in surface pro 4 for problem with screen. Definitely emulating Apple with the layout, customer service design, helpfulness and I am glad that is the case. As someone who switched from Apple products after 10+ years im happy to say I am loving the device as well as the in store experience, which is part of what you pay for with apple anyway. Also love brand new replacement product for an entire year after you purchase with warranty that comes with the purchase at no extra charge.
Three stars for a very good customer service and product promos. But only three stars because we couldnt buy a laptop which apparently out of stock although they have them shown on display even two units displayed. Its disappointing that we also could not buy the display unit. This is their flagship store. Must visit if you are into Microsoft stuffs.
The service was good and prompt but what I didnt like about it that when you ask them to help to install a product, they help you but the take your info and your computers info. Like computers model and serial number without even bother to ask for your permission! The only thing they didnt ask is my ssn.
A perfect and refreshing destination for those in need of product support, or those needing to sample a product (hardware, software, Windows phones or gaming) before purchasing. This three floor store is staffed well and they all seem to be trained adequately to answer customer questions.
The management team here have exceptional customer service skills. I had major issue with getting a good laptop for pro audio mobile recording. Shemeck, Chad, Meghan where there for me when i needed to do a return. I am really happy to say I was blow away by there support. Thank you!
This a flagship Microsoft store and its huge. It has two levels and all the latest products released by Microsoft are stacked here. One can also bring in their Microsoft devices for technical support. I visited this store to fix a keyboard issue on my laptop and the warranty had recently expired. the Microsoft technician examined the device and offered me full store credit even though the device had recently been out of warranty. They have exceptional customer service and if you go with an appointment they will devote all their time and you wont leave the store dissapointed.
Very impressive showroom at the 5th avenue. There are lot of cutting-edge devices ready to be tested by the customer.Gaming, office, education and other computer solutions are able to be tested at this shinny Microsoft space.There is also a space to freely test different solutions of virtual reality, mixed reality or augmented reality.It can be noisy and busy sometimes due to the extremely touristic location but I guess that is what drives the nature of the space.
I was a walk-in but was taken care of right away. I went up-stairs with my laptop and met Tierra. During the last Windows 10 update I lost audio on the machine. She was terrific and figured out what was missing and found the drivers needed on the Dell site and the problem was fixed. So, I was there and checking something on the computer and I suddenly remembered there was another issue. There was another Tech right across from me and I told him I can’t change the brightness of the screen. Going into setting/display the control for brightness was missing. The floor person signed me in with Richard and he was totally focused on the problem. There appeared to be several drivers/components missing. He seemed to enjoy figuring it out. Richard also found drivers on Dell’s site that fixed the problem and he made sure I had the support program that would make sure I got the revisions from Dell that supported updates from Microsoft. Both Tierra and Richard were great! I was very happy with the service help I received and that both techs were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Thank you for opening this store it made my life easier. And the computer is working much better.
It is nice experience to visit Microsoft store in the middle of the Manhattan,place is nice and big.People who work there are also nice they are really polite and helpful.They have the VR to try it out which is cool,make sure to try play fruit ninja,its so fun.They will also let you to test playing Xbox x or one,you can chose any game i think which is also cool!!

2022-08-10This place is the best. You walk in first floor is for products and product repair. The second floor is a McLaren experience that is out of this world and the people working there were so super nice if I could give them 10 Stars I would. The next floor is the gaming center which is also very cool and highly recommend it. I had just left the Apple Store and this hands down is 10 times the experience and the people were super nice and helpful we ended up spending over an hour just hanging out because it was such a cool place. The pictures that I uploaded and the video speak volumes about the experience versus what Im typing here. I would not hesitate come in and experience this place

2022-01-061/5/22. Just decided to stop in 2 c what it was. I was met by ???? Who asked ? What brought to the Microsoft Experience! I told him Christmas was over and I needed a new surge! He laughed and took me on a tour! I asked him what do they have for older p people trying to catch up? He showed me a help page with his picture. Wow he was really down with the business! Great visit. Will return!!

2021-09-14The Microsoft Experience Center was a very cool space with display units of all of the modern Microsoft products and accessories. The design of the store is phenomenal and very modern and clean. The third floor is set up like a gaming room with a dark gaming ambiance and atmosphere.I was able to get the new Xbox without any issues and the associates I worked with were very helpful and personable. I was in a rush but I would love to come visit again and really explore the display areas and merchandise.Its definitely worth checking out even if you werent planning to buy anything!

2022-06-02Free ride in a McLaren Senna simulator with Forza 5 in 2nd floor. 3rd floor was full of xbox and PCs with access to alot, also free. This was almost like being at LAN again.Recommend it to Nerds. 10 out of 10.

2022-08-03I am writing this to let other people know, that Microsoft surface book has battery swelling issues. Please be aware. I purchased original Surface book from Microsoft store in 2017 , now battery is swelling and screen is bulging out, potentially a fire hazard. I contacted Microsoft costumer service, they refused to help, asked me to pay $599 for the same refurbished replacement with no guarantee. This is awful business practice. I am writing this in hopes to safe others from this experience. Stay away from their products!

2022-04-27Wanted to try Surface headphones in the store, to experience how they sound, store employee said I can’t connect headphones to personal devices can ONLY listen on on your store devices. Question: why? I want to hear how they sound with my music on my device! Not on YouTube low quality music videos on your device. Very disappointed, really. When coming to Apple you can connect everything you want to personal devices.

2022-03-31I was shocked to find out that this was the last brick & mortar retail store in the United States but nevertheless, I was grateful. Alejandro was amazingly professional and not only solved my power cord issue he even did a complimentary check of my computer. The rest of the staff I met were also very helpful. All-in-all a great day to make up for a bad day, yesterday, when my computer stopped working.

2020-01-11Their support staff were phenomenal. I received excellent support from Jefferson an microsoft support staff. The place stocks up well on accessories. When I was there, there were some training sessions going on. I think these are free for kids to pick up IT skills. Also the gaming section looked interesting.All in all well done Microsoft. You got a loyal customer now thanks to the outstanding customer service I received.
