SCAM! UNPROFESSIONAL! STAY AWAY! Would give negative stars if I could.The experience from day 1 until that final day was nothing short of horrible.We took our car in for a deep scratch on the front hood of car. Keep in mind this is a 2020 model. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took a hammer to the car because they tried to charge insurance $20,000 (I have the paperwork to prove this, which also included a claim to begin changing our doors for new ones…how is that related to a scratch on the hood?).Upon our arrival on day 1 - Bobby (who was dressed in basketball shorts and a hoodie) felt the need to tell us that he is the “top dog here”. Pretty standard for people who feel the need to overcompensate and let you know that they are more important than they really are. It is obvious that his staff barely tolerates him, but they must hate working for him given his attitude, unprofessionalism, and constant profane yelling/berating of them in front of customers. As they say – “the loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room”. Bobby is sloppy, unprofessional, uneducated, and is the epitome of trash. He offered to cover our July lease payment due to the amount of time our car would be in the shop and yet he still till this day has yet to deliver on that.We would get weekly calls from the insurance company threatening to shut off our rental because of the lack of communication and getting answers from Mid-Island, particularly Jasmine Khan. This would be constant follow up on our end and try to connect the dots/relay info we would get. This alone took a ton of time out of our busy schedules to do something that should have been handled by Mid-Island.When our car was finally “ready to be picked up” it was NOT even done. There was a missing emblem (which goes to show that they did some above and beyond damage to the car themselves).All-in-all, I would stay FARRRRR away from this scam of a shop. There is no doubt that they commit insurance fraud as well.
Google won’t allow me to post my full review due to the length. But it is posted on Yelp. The reviews you see about insurance fraud and the time it takes to get your car back aren’t a joke. They had my car for about 2 months on and off with me taking the car back 4 different times for various issues that were never Initially addressed. The final bill they tried billing for my 2017 civic si was for $21900. At the time the car was only worth 24k and they had only replaced the drivers side door and blended that side of the car. On top of the issues that weren’t addressed I discovered through my dash cams that employees were speeding down peninsula blvd and other private roads red lining and possibly power shifting my car. The owner Bobby dismissed this and wrote me a check for $300 telling me they needed to test drive the car. There are still issues of poor workmanship on my car and the last I spoke to someone (Bill) there he asked me if those issues were a top priority for me. The glamorous shop may wow you but the workmanship won’t.
Went there in august to get a bumper ordered for my Tesla. I received an email from the tracking number that it was delivered in September. I called in October and was told by one of the guys there that they will call back in a hour. Fast forward to 11/09/21 I never got a call back. Just called today 3 times and no one can give me information on my bumper that they “ordered”. Going on month 4 for a simple bumper replacement. Hopefully receive a call back
After our vehicle was damaged by inadvertently hitting a bollard near a nonexistent fire hydrant a very good friend of mine in the car industry recommended Midisland collision. Lisa reached out to me and was very courteous. Once I arrived I met Nikki, Laura and Bobby. They were all very professional, patient and understanding. Once we took a look at the car, we were on the phone with my insurance, filed the claim, booked the rental and I was on my way. Very efficient and straightforward. Nikki kept me informed as to the progress of the work. Once I came to pick the car up it was as if the incident never happened. To top it all off the car was detailed, much cleaner inside and out than when I dropped it off. Showroom quality. Truly appreciate their workmanship and dedication to customer service.
So someone hit my back end last year while parked outside my house. I took my truck to mid island for repairs. At first they quoted me $8k as it wasn’t bad damage no structural damage. It was minor. Then the final estimate was $14k no way it was that much damage! Then it took a month to fix it. Every time I called I got the same answer. Meanwhile I had a rental and my ins was paying it until I reached the max then mid island said they would pay the rest but they didn’t so the rental place hit me for $1000. I had to fight and argue with mid island to get my money as I was sitting in the red on my account. They gave me such the runaround to get my money. I went there with my mom and stayed there until I got my check. I will never go there ever again. While we were there u could hear the bosses shouting at there employees. They are not professional at all!!! I have to say one girl called Bunnie she was very nice she also got the run around from them. She was the nicest person in there. But if u need repairs please do not go there. They are con men. I have one star because I can’t say 0 stars.
Mike the manager was extremely professional. He did an excellent job with my vehicle. I didnt realize they didnt take credit cards and he let me take my car and bring back the money. I felt like a valued customer even though it was my first time ever there. I felt I got a fair price, good communication with service repair and lots of respect. Keep up the great work.
A top shelf experience from start to finish after a pretty significant car accident. First, my claim was handled by Bunnie @ Mid Island. She was so excellent, keeping me updated by e-mail and discussing all my concerns. She was super professional, knowledgeable and nice at the same time. She even went over specifics of what was fixed and how. Every question I had for her was answered and handled ASAP. Shes a pleasure to work with, I would contact her in a second for any further needs. Second, my car was returned to me in absolutely mint condition. It was showroom quality. I am super satisfied and in the event of any car accident/issues, my first call will be to Bunnie and Bob and their team. Highly recommended if you want to be treated right and if you want your car back in pristine physical and cosmetic condition.
This is hands-down the best auto repair shop Ive ever used. Not only did they waive the deductible, the provided me with a free rental car while my car was being repaired. They also brought my car to me when it was ready and took the rental back, so that I didnt even have to travel to get my car back. Why go anywhere else? This is the best repair shop in NY.
Incredible, meticulous collision repair. Its more like a showroom. Everything is sparkling clean and open for inspection. Top notch work and the cars there reflect that. My Audi shared space with Porsche, Mercedes-benz, and Ferrari among other high end vehicles. From the time we left our car, Laura, the customer coordinator kept us constantly updated on our cars progress, even sending pictures of restoration. You can hear her smiling on the phone. She was a breath of fresh air, making what could be a problematic situation very seamless and painfree . She truly wants to see your car returned to you in showroom condition. Brian manages the outfit in a very professional way and extends himself the same way the cars are treated. A pleasure to deal with Mid Island Collision!! The best!!!
In February of 2021, my 2019 Nissan was hit badly by a snow plow (I know). I contacted Mid Island Collision with uncertainty I would continue with them. It did not take long for me to make my decision.Laura Haslam was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient with customers who might be new to getting their car destroyed LOL. She explained everything simply and kept me up-to-date daily. I could not have asked for better service.I received the car back today and wow did she shine. I mean she looked GOOD. After repairing the car completely, they even give you a full complimentary detail. WOW.Let me save you some time and just say it: Mid Auto Collision is the place to go. As their saying goes, WE CARE!
Can’t even explain how easy Mid Island (Nikki, specifically) made getting my car repaired after I was rear-ended! They handled everything from contacting my insurance, the other drivers insurance, rental car, etc. They even covered my rental for a few extra days when my rental coverage ran out. My car came back impeccably clean and felt brand new! Amazing experience!
Great place and best customer service, Nikki was such a pleasure to deal with, always keeping me in the loop and in a timely manner answered all of my hundreds of text messages ..... they took such great care of my car. Everything was great. I am very happy with the work and will definitely return for any other work.I have never been able to trust anyone with our cars until I found this place. I am normally not a person to write reviews but the exceptional service I received needs to be shared! Bonnie is amazing..... even while out sick she kept me informed about my vehicle, now that’s customer service! They handle everything and make things effortless for you. Hopefully I will never need another body shop repair but if I do this is where I will bring my vehicle.
Just got home after dropping my car off for only a couple of days (!!) for a body repair on my Maserati Ghibli. The car looks better than it did when I took it off the lot. Brian walked me through every step of the way, giving the best customer service Ive ever received from an Auto Repair shop. Highest possible recommendation for this business.
This past week was the first time I ever had to deal with a body shop. I was pretty nervous and unsure walking in to get an estimate on the damage on my mini van. Brian eased all those concerns as soon as I walked in. With the help of him my car was fixed with minimal stress, and I walked away with a confidence to use them again if ever needed.
The pros:1) The work was good.2) Brian and Bunnie (sp?) were very responsive to questions and always responded within a reasonable time frame.3) they covered all rental car expensesThe cons:1) they overcharge insurance companies by absurd amounts. I brought My 4-year old truck to them for minor repairs. The car has a $25k book value. Mid-Island charged Geico over $19k for work that was well under $10k.2) they took 7 weeks to repair my truck.
Very impressive office and waiting area. Patrick mans the front desk and he was very friendly and informative as I waited. I then met with Nikki who made me feel at ease leaving my car there. She treated me as if weve know each other for years, just like family.They took care of all necessary paperwork for the claim including the police report, rental; etc. It was seamless. I was kept well informed and my car was ready during the timeframe given. I drove my showroom dressed car off the showroom floor and got a follow up call from Nikki the next day.Now that is what I call KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF SERVICE! I would recommend and I have already recommended them to a friend.Thanks a mil Nikki.
EXCEPTIONAL in all ways - the repair work was flawless and the customer service 110%; my daughters car was recently damaged by a careless driver - this is third or fourth time weve needed repair service in the last 20 years on Long Island - the first time is how we found Mid Island; the most recent experience was superior to our first - Mid Island has continued to add service features, from rental car to dealing with insurance co to cleaning/detailing the car prior to return, and each improvement only makes the already outstanding better!having grown up in and around my familys automobile businesses and working in shops thru school I feel I have a greater appreciation for how far superior the Mid Island customer service repair quality is and recommend them without qualification to anyone wanting the best for their car!
Never going to another body shop again! After spending my day driving around the island getting damage estimates for the scratches my gardener put on my 2 week old car I headed to Mid Island for one last estimate. Upon arriving I was impressed by the cleanliness and size of the business. When Brian came out to give me an estimate on the damage, he didnt give me the same run around I had gotten all day. Instead he had me pull the car around to the shop side to see if they could fix it right then and there without painting. 20 minutes later and I was off on my way with my car looking good as new. 2 scratches were too into the paint to completely remove but Mid Island made them practically invisible. Dealing with Brian and the Mid Island Collision shop was like a breath of fresh air!
My car was parked in front of my home when a visitor of a neighbor rammed her car into mine. The driver side door, broke off my side-view mirror and damaged my airbags. I brought my car to Mid Island Collision because I heard they were excellent. My first encounter was the a fast talker named Patrick. He was great and made sure I was taken care of. However, when it came time to pick up the vehicle I had other problems it did not have when I dropped if off. I brought it back and they attempted to fix the problems, however this is my third time bringing it back up there for the same issue. I was told, they were unable to give me another rental and I had to go to Morrissey Pontiac on my own and have them fix the car. This is baffling to me because for one, I dont own a GMC and two I did not cause these problems, why do I have to run around to get my car fixed. This is very disappointing. I will say the collision damage they repaired looks great, but the other issues.... Not good
Customer Service was superior and extraordinary!! It was very professional, super easy and very stress relieving. Good experience all the way around and the quality of the repair was just as good as new. I have had different cars at other shops before but nothing has compared to the quality and service at Mid Island Collision. Very impressive shop as well as staff. I recommend this body shop to all family and friends.
Ive worked with MIC in the past as as part of my relationship with Mercedes Benz RVC, and have trusted them with two AMG cars to date. They are top notch, professional, do impeccable work and collaborate with you and your insurer to make sure your car gets done properly. My recent repair ( a damaged door/fender/wheel on an AMG) was done perfectly, and Bunnie P managed my repair and communicated with me regularly as the work was being done.
MidIsland Collision is the worst Auto Body shop I have ever dealt with. After 5 months after my claim for my vehicle I am still trying to obtain information from or even better a call back. They always say they will call you back and never do unless they are trying to get you vehicle in the shop. Once they have your vehicle customer service and professionalism are thrown out the window. Nicole, Jenn, and the manager Brian are all a bunch of idiots that had to work in an auto body shop because they are probably family are friends of the owners and would be to incompetent to work else where.
This is my first time having to deal with this situation. They were extremely helpful over the phone. When I arrived I was taken care of by Brian who introduced me to Nikki. She took care of everything and I was treated with compassion and respect. I highly recommend them and should the occasion arise will use their services againThank you Mid Island Collision
I have known and have been a customer of Mid Island Collision for about 30 years, all through those stressful years of having raised 2 teenage sons and their “driving” issues! This was the best service I have ever received from an auto repair shop. The experience was not simply an auto repair encounter, instead it felt like an extension of the classy service and professionalism received on the MBZ dealer showroom floor. I had the best experience there. They were all super nice and helpful. I received updates every day about the progress on my vehicle. There was no wondering how much longer or what was being done on any given day. I will definitely go again and would certainly recommend anyone there.
From the outside this collision center looks impeccable, that’s about it, looks can be deceiving. I was treated terrible, I had an appointment I was there early still had to wait then a white woman came and got help right away, that tells me there’re racist she had a Toyota I had an Audi, it doesn’t matter what we drive but because I was Indian they treated me like I wasn’t human. I still looked passed that got and estimate from Brian who couldn’t even form a proper sentence probably didn’t finish high school. Told me I had to come back. Called the shop the next day never got him. It’s been three months, I took my car to another shop it’s fixed and finish still haven’t heard from him. The estimate he gave me was over $5000. The other shop I took it too charged me less and my car is finish and I still haven’t heard back from mid island collision it’s been 3 months.
I would never recommend Mid Island Collision to anyone. I brought my son 2014 Honda Accord for a bumper & hood repair. They took 29 days to be precise and costs almost $13,000 when the work was only about $4,500 with a weeks work. They glued parts back and placed tape to hold them in place. I only found this out by luck cuz i was having the filters change on the car and the mechanic pointed it out to me. He took pictures, unfortunately I cant post them here. I was mortified. Brian sugar coats everything and Niki has a brain of a fish. No on ever knows anything there.
Mid island collision was fantastic in fixing my truck in a timely fashion and their attention to detail. Bob is a dynamic individual and a man of his word. I cant tell you how fortunate I am to have met and dealt with him. He truly went above and beyond the normal course of business. I also dealt with Nicole who is a superstar in her own right. She kept me up every step of the way. She is extremely professional and very courteous.
DO NOT go here! Two months ago I brought my 10day old RAV4 in for minor damage done to it in a parking lot, I STILL dont have a car. Their.Customer Service is horrendous:1. No one calls with updates.2. They dont return calls for days.3. They give repair info for other peoples cars.4. They lie and say your car will be ready next week.5. Brian blames Niki for the bad service, Niki blames everyone else.If I could give negative stars I would, because 1 star is a rave review for the service received.
Great customer service, fantastic work. I hate to say it but with three sons sons Mid Island Collision is on speed dial. Can’t think of any complaints, They are professionals that stand behind their work. While I hope I don’t need them any time soon, I would use them again without hesitation.
They vandalized my car that I brought there for just a minor repair. When I came back to pick the car, it was unrecognizable. Everything was gone. They are evil. Run from them, especially if you are an immigrant. Mr. Brain is the worst person you can ever trust your car with. May God judge him.

2022-06-15I wish I would have gone anywhere else.After a few months with out the van, Insurence paid for 1 month, using rent a car out of packet, the passenger door is disabled, can’t open from inside and don’t close. They charged my insurance for parts and labor they did not do. Insurance, paid around 18,000 for a side swipe to the body shop, where for the mechanical repairs I had to pay out of packet because it was not diagnosed at the beginning.Please, be aware that the shop with the adjuster are working together to leave you picking up the balance. Before the insurance will decide if it’s total loss or will pay for the repairs, they need all the diagnosis.If you really want to use this body shop because of their certifications or Mercedes authorised body shop, I suggest you get a good layer and take it to your next door neighbor claiming to do body work for better results.I wish I could post a videoGood Luck!!!

2022-03-21I brought my car here for repair due to a no-fault fender bender. The service from start to finish was great. I worked with Jasmine. She explained the process step by step. Assisted with the car rental process while my car was going to be in the shop. She gave me periodic updates on my car. And the delivery was perfect - the car looked brand new and was nicely detailed.

She is truly amazing, super sweet and extremely knowledgeable providing me with updates every step of the way till my car was done.My car was also nicely detailed and looked brand new again. Such a wonderful experience and if I could I would do it all over again with Mid Island Collision. I highly recommend them for all your car body shop repairs.

2022-03-04I’m very happy that I brought my 2019 pathfinder toMid -island to be repaired . The staff and Brian are nothing but true professionals . They repaired my truck in a timely manner. Keep me in touch every step of the way . Brian made the process stress free and my truck looks brand new . Mid -island is the shop to use when you want it done right .

2022-03-22Very good service, very professional and they have a knowledge staff, I needed a ride to get my car and they offered a uber ride to shop at no charge. And an assistance that if I had any future concerns about my repair that it would be addressed quickly. I left the shop felling completely confident.

2022-02-10Approaching from a reasonable person perspective, this shop is not only unprofessional but also feels entitlement beyond their customers. You won’t have your basic rights of knowing the price or having your questions be answered. Communication is at the lowest of the low, you won’t be able to talk to anyone you want because they will be either sick or out of office. If your looking for a place to trust with your Vehicle mid island collision is not the place.

2022-04-07This is the worst body shop on all of Long Island. My vehicle was involved in a minor fender bender and had some damage to the back bumper. Mid Island Collision was extremely difficult to work with and claimed there was $35k in damages to the car, which is nearly then MSRP of the car when we purchased it 9 months ago. The body shop was paid by the insurance company, but refuses to release my car because they claim there was additional parts and labor which they have not received payment for.Mid Island collision is shady, unethical and committing rampant insurance fraud. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

2018-09-06My family had been using this shop for almost 20 years. After they fixed my mothers Lexus there was damage to the the inside trim pieces, scuff marks on the dash, the seat belt did not work, the seat belt cover was marked up with screwdriver marks there were grease marks and hand prints inside and the trim panel was sticking out. I brought it back to let Bryan know and he denied damaging anything. I brought the car back twice for him to look at and he wouldnt fix the damaged parts. He told me to go through insurance but refused to cover the deductible. He also did not repair my other car properly which was in at the same time. I had another shop look at the damage and they explained how it was caused while repairing the car. Last time I called the guy who answered the phone said Jazmin didnt want to talk to me and hung up on me. I would not use this shop. They charge a lot to insurance companies but if you have a problem they will not take care of you.

2020-11-19Had to change my rating, paint is coming off, alot of white spots in paint, also wheel wells were missing screws, water leaks in through the wheel wells...i will add pictures. I grew up in an orphanage, ive always been broke, finally worked hard enough to afford a nice camaro, was in a hit and run, and i decided to go here, the repair cost was 18,000 and my car was worth 20,000..v6 Camaro...The car is ruined i keep it in great shape. Also ive had to take it back 3 or 4 times...they paid for the car rental a couple of times, but i did drop 1,000 bucks on a car rental one of the times they decided not to cover. This experience has me stressed out. I was basically side swiped in a hit and run, my rear fender had the only damage...At first they said its a 4,000$ job, then 8,000$, they ended up replacing THE WHOLE SIDE OF MY CAR FOR AN $18,000 DOLLAR JOB On a 2015 BASE MODEL V6 CAMARO.....I feel like they took advantage, not only that my car insurance went up, and now im stuck with a car that was completely taken apart at the seams, leaks water, has so many white spots in the paint, it looks rushed. Like i said i had to go back multiple times for these same problems, and it cost me in stress, $1,000 for a car rental...This is the first new car ive ever bought, the nicest thing ive ever had, im hard working, no family, everything i have i worked hard for, and this shop absolutely took advantage of me. I do body work, i fix cars, do construction, roofing, i fix other peoples cars, and know whats up when it comes to repairs of any kind on most automobiles. -Its now October, and even more paint has come off. Soon my whole car will be white. They must have used a real thin water based paint, and rushed because my car looks really bad right now. At this point i think they should be held liable for the value of my car. A professional, stand up business would have done right and fixed this long ago. Its November now, more Paint is coming off, they used a real thin layer of cheap water based paint, my whole car will be white soon.

2019-09-12Honestly Ive never dealt with such an amazing Collision shop. Never going anywhere else. Everything is great, between Bunnie & Bobby you cant get better service! They honestly know the business and arent trying to get one over on you! They kept me updated on every process the car was going through and kept in contact with info from the insurance and etc. My car looked BRAND new, when I went to pick it up, i almost didnt realize it was my car until I saw my plates. Such a pleasure doing business with them and Hertz is conveniently right across, so no need to worry about rentals!
