So pleased with the service I received at Midas. Recently my car broke down right near their station, I had run out to the store and forgot my phone, it was after hours but there was someone still there and he let me use the phone and told me they would look at the car first thing in the morning which they did. They are always professional, they take the time to explain what is wrong with your vehicle, prices are fair and I think they have the best mechanics in the area. Would highly recommend them.
Im extremely dissatisfied and I feel like Ive been scammed. Midas charged me $616.65 to fix a problem with my fuel line. I continued to smell very strong fuel odor, so I brought the car back to Midas. They checked the car and told me it was completely fine. I continued to smell strong fuel odor for several more days, so I brought the car back in again. The manager Mike said this time they found a fuel leak in the line they installed and it must have been a defective part. He said Id have to leave it for a day. I said that wouldnt work, as I was scheduled to leave out of state the following day. He then told me they could do something else to permanently fix the problem. This other option took them a half hour to complete. I asked why I had to go through all the headache and expense if the final fix was so simple, and Mike had no explanation, just excuses. When I asked for a discount to compensate me for my time, headache, and probably for jeopardizing the safety of my children and I, he dismissed me. I would never return to this or any other Midas.
These guys are crooks and liers! Went in for an inspection, they failed it. Said I need rear main seals, said it would cost 900 dollers to fix, lies!! Took it to a another mechanic, who found nothing wrong with it and passed it for inspection. This isnt the first time. Took in for an alignment, told me they couldnt do it I needed a new rack and pinion at a cost of 700 dollers, another lie, as the kid that was working there told me out back that there machine was not working right. Took it down the road to Monroe muffler, who aligned it with no problem, and said there was nothing wrong with the rack and pinion, actually I took it to 2 mechanics to look at it, nothing was wrong, and the rack and pinion is still there holding up. I went and got my money back for the shoddie work they did, promptly giving my money back, because they new they lied. I also watched as they hosed everyone that came in, charging them for needless repairs.this guy works on commission, the more he can tell you need something or have to have, thats just them trying to get paid at your exspence. Never again will I give Midas my business! They are thiefs. For any kind of repair at Midas always get a 2nd opinion, try a mom and pop mechanic or try to find one that you can trust and doesnt work on commission, there are cheaper more honest mechanics out there! Remember, if you go there you are paying for the brand name Midas, not service.
Ive been to this Midas location a few times and the owner is always friendly and helpful. I find them honest and they do good work and I never have to wait very long. Would definitely recommend!
We take our vehicle to Midas Auburn. Darrell is great! They will not charge you for unnecessary work that doesnt need to be performed or try and pressure you to buy things you dont need. Very honest and trustworthy which is refreshing. They have a quick turn around, knowledgeable techs and great customer service. Id recommend Midas and Darrell to do a great honest job.
Several of my warning lights, including my brake light, were alerting me to a problem. My Nissan dealer couldnt service my car for 4 days, but as I have a 30-mile daily commute to work, I was afraid to wait that long. Midas was able to service the car right away. Within less than an hour they scanned and fixed the problem, and also replaced a broken brake light that Id been unaware of. The service was prompt, polite, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this auto service shop.
These guys are awesome. While I was there for an oil change, Darrell courteously alerted me that my inspection was due this month and asked me if I wanted them to take care of that while I was there. I agreed; and with the oil change and inspection I was still in and out under an hour! Fast, courteous, thorough service shop.
My elderly mother went there to get an exhaust leak fixed. They told her that it had 2 leaks and needed to have the catalytic converter replaced along with 2 other components. About $2600. Long sad story short, it was just one leak on the resonator. My brother and I fixed it for less than $100 (new resonator) The converter was in perfect condition. Just be warned- if you are elderly or vulnerable in any way, this is a business to STAY AWAY from.
Just the best service possible and I truly mean it! I drive many miles a week for work and these guys are right there to service my car! The Manager Mike always gets you right in and gives you the best deal possible! I am very impressed with their customer service and definitely their work!
The service which MJ provided was top shelf. He was extremely knowledgeable and looked and diagnosed the problem on my car right away. He is a true professional. I am very pleased with the completed work at this location. I trust MJ and the staff at this location and I will be a repeat customer.
Ive been going to this Midas for a number of years now. First, you can watch your car being worked on. If you get an oil change you get a full inspection of your car. They go over the report and tell you whats necessary and what it will cost. Ive not ever had a bad experience.
Excellent customer service. Had a new muffler installed and brake pads. Service Tech was friendly and knowledgeable and also charged a very fair price. I would highly recommend Midas to family and friends.

Little over a year ago, I had a sway bar link replaced because I was getting the NY inspection done, 30 dollar part 20 dollars for inspection, costed me over 200 dollars. Now just past 1 year, sway bar is broken again. Being a mechanic, I know that it was never greased in the ball joint seals prior to installation, and either way, 1 year later its broken again. Whatever you can think of for a excuse, isnt possible for this to happen, especially when the car isnt taking long enough trips, or even driven hard enough for this issue.Its a 2010, first one done was 9 years in the making, and lasted threw plenty of winters, hard hit pot holes, and longer trips then this one. It only brakes multiple years in the making, isnt a 1 year fix, unless done incorrectly. Midas has nothing but excuses to. Thanks
Midas has always been fast and fair. I have been using Midas in Grant Ave in Auburn NY for a few years and love the service. This past week I got my winter tires and a few other things done. Mike the manager and Clarence assisted with every step and were very helpful. My car was completed early. They went above and beyond what was needed. Thank you to Midas!
So I took my car there for an inspection and was told it passed but didnt pass at the same time due to new battery and computer turning of 3 censors was told to drive car for 50 miles then come back will plug computer back in at no extra charge when I came back I got charged again 🤔 thank you midas

I was ignored for 15 minutes by the manager. All in was trying to do was check in. When I was finally aknowledged I was advised that they could do my requested appointment time. He advised me he emailed me back. Professional would have been to call if they were stating they were too busy the same day to fit me in. He never apologized nothing went back to doing what he was doing prior. I was very suprised by how I was treated.
Only a 3 star because they need a separate person to answer the phone. While I was getting waited on, the guy answered the phone 4 times, and it took me 25 min to cash out.
I made a visit to the Auburn location at 236 grant Ave. for a NY State inspection. I specifically request them to align my inspection sticker to be parallel to my registration sticker. Simple? Aperintly not.Not only did they place my inspection sticker at an angle, it was placed ontop of the old inspection sticker which was only half removed.Once I got into to my vehicle I was overwhelmed with a pungent stench of Body oder.The person who parked my car after the service left such a fowel smell that lasted for hours.
I had a oil change and a inspection today, took a little over an hour. I was good with the outcome with a modest price.
Walmart could not help us out. They sent us there. They not only helped us out they where very reasonible in price. We where very happy with them and yes I have gone back to them and will again. Very frendly honest and they do more thain just mufflers like tires.
Great service. For me I was traveling with pets. So had to wait in the rain while they changed my tires.
Wednesday evening called my local Midas shop and asked if they were capable of changing front brake rotors, calipers and pads. Was told they could. Then I asked if they were also capable of reprogramming the cars computer to recognize the new brakes. Was told they could. They would not give me a price for this but had me make an appointment so they could inspect the brakes first. Drove 25 miles to their location. Got there and was told by the man at the desk (who had shaved in a week nor brushed his teeth in years) that he could replace everything but WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER AS REQUIRED. ONE HOUR OF MY TIME AND A 50 MILE ROUND TRIP WASTED!
Always in and out. Service is always high quility from time I pull up, to time I leave. Staff always friendly with smiles, and the high moral of staff is always noticeable. Have always stayed away from franchised garages, came in last year for a quick oil change, and ever since then have had many vechiles I have brought in for service. Hands down the most curtious, and efficient service garage I have been in for a while...Im hooked not only by fairness of work, but the friendly faces I am always greeted with...The manager Daryl always seems to be in working when Im here, and always remembers who my wife, and me are. Everytime he gives us useful tips, and educated information on maintaining our vechiles, recommendations on work are genuinely on concern, and never on the sale...wouldnt go anywhere else!
I have been to this muffler shop twice. They are VERY HONEST. Their competition wanted to charge me $1500 for a full exhaust system on my Volvo. The guys at Midas said I only needed an $84 repair of a disconnected joint requiring a gasket and 4 bolts. Most recently they fixed another car I own with a connecting pipe and 2 clamps for $104. THEY HAVE NEVER TRIED TO UPCHARGE ME. To their credit they refused my request to mount new low profile tires since they knew their tire mounting machine was likely to scratch my expensive rims. Impressive! I will be back.
Excellent service for my vehicle. Replaced the cam sensors for my GMC terrain. They will not try to sell u services or parts that isnt needed for your car. You really cant get that from many chain auto shops. Good job Mike, Brandon and crew at Midas in Auburn, Ny.
Went in for a simple oil change and the guy who attempted to drive my car into the garage stalled it three times and when he finaly got it in he FORGOT TO PUT THE PARKING BRAKE UP!!!! I had to go into my car and put the parking brake up myself... They also recommended oil I didnt need for my car... And where going to charge me 60 dollars for it. Wasnt a bad experience besides that moron. There asociates apolagized for the incovince and then told me they couldnt change the oil because the car sat to low. Didnt have a problem with that. they toped of my windshield wiper fluid wich was nice I guess. One of the acosiates named Ryan was espeasilly helpful hes the only reason I gave them an extra star. Other wise I wouldnt recommend going there.
If I could I would give no stars!! Stay away!! I went for oil change and tire rotation. My girlfriend and kids drove car on trip after, through a snow storm for two hours. Next day found lug nuts in the driveway! Luckily found them, and checked rest of them! All but 2 were loose! Furious I called them and they said that they dont know what happened and that they would re torque and give us free oil change. Gave them another chance and they left radiator cap loose and car leaked antifreeze all over and over heated. Oil level was way low!! Had to go to dealership to get all issues fixed! Tried to save some money and now I know just to take it to professionals!!
I am originally from Auburn but live in Maryland. I go to Auburn alot throughout the year to visit family and get as much of my auto work done there to help the Auburn economy. I am VERY impressed with Jim (manager) who handled alot of my technical questions about the difference between several different makes and models of tires. I was entertaining buying tires at either Midas or another tire shop in town and Jim hands down won me over not only because of the competitive price he offered, but the way he handled my many calls before finally deciding to purchase. I will most definitely return to do business at Midas in Auburn and plan to be a long time loyal customer.
Brought for inspection, wanted to charge me 35 dollars for a light bulb. Told him id fix the light myself, wanted to charge me 10 dollars if i did the work myself and brought it back. Greedy, unsavory business practices, go anywhere else, youll be happy you did.
They did the oil change I asked for but pushed for a more expensive one. They did inspect my brakes and I am do soon for brake work and wanted to do it that day. Price wasnt bad.
These guys went above and beyond, when I showed them my flat tire they thought it was junk, but took it in the bay removed the rim did a air bubble test patched the inside and did an external plug all for free, any other shop I called wanted 20 bucks just for the external plug Im very happy

Darrell the manager at this location provided me with excellent customer service. This is not normally my go to place but all others were closed when I was making phone calls for service and I thought Id give it a try. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and helpful. Will definitely be going to this location for all my future service needs! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
These idiots never tightened the bolts on my tire and I was driving and the tire fell right off my car!! They claimed to have a video of them tightening the bolts but its been a week of me asking them for it and still havent got the video. Awful service and would never recommend this place to anyone!
Im here for my neice funeral and my heat goes in my Mercedes, I take it down to midas on grant after I called and was told the job could be done, the minute I walk through the door I got a bad vibe, Im a black man and very educated, the manager seen the color of my skin and decided to not fix my Mercedes. Please if you are black dont go to that place their very racist and it seem to me that they dont mine showing it. No stars for racism

2022-05-20Shortly after I walked thru the door the manager there MIKE proceeded to tell me that if he had to take all the wheels off of my car that he was going to charge me like $120. HUGE RED FLAG RIGHT THERE, I should have gone elsewhere. That is not something that you want to tell a potential returning customer whom has never been to a midas before. Big lesson learned, I guarantee you they will never see me again. Paid almost $900 for brake service and an exhaust leak.AND DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR FREE PADS AND SHOES. I bet you the LABOR is not free. WHEN YOU GO IN TO THE SHOP FOR THAT, THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU NEED NEW ROTORS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO HONOR THE WARRANTY.LONG STORY SHORT, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GIVE AWAY YOUR MONEY, GO SEE THESE GUYS.THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AND COULD AND SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME SOME MONEY OFF THE BILL. And google protects them from MY honest reviews -thats okay because all you have to do is read all of the OTHER HONEST 1 star reviews for this place that google DOES NOT protect.

2022-01-21I went to have two tires mounted and balanced and put on my car but the tech that was doing the job stripped my lugnuts and put different ones on that didnt even fit my vehicle. While driving it I noticed something wasnt right so I pulled over sure enough the two lugnuts they put on were freely spinning almost caused my tire to come off with my family in the vehicle when I called they said my vehicle needed a lot of work when it doesnt needless to say Ill never go through them again as they neglected to do their job correctly

2021-04-01Weve been taking our cars here for a few years now and found this Midas to be very trustworthy and friendly. They did amazing exhaust work on my 73 Corvette, and serviced my older Nissan and wifes Mitsubishi. Mike at the front desk is very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Clarence gave great advice on my Corvette that helped so much in the long run, and did great work on it. I would highly recommend this crew.

2020-02-05I stopped in to have my tire checked. The air was low. Mike at the desk helped me. He had a great sense of humor. Cody repaired my tire and changed my oil. The service was fast, convenient and they were incredibly friendly. I would absolutely return.
