I had a great experience at this location today. No upsell no gimmicks. Look for Tat if you go there! Tat was so professional, helpful, friendly, and most importantly, he’s honest! I’ll definitely be back there for any future service needs! Great customer service!
I have been coming here for about 3 years now and I have to say I feel good about dropping my car for service. Tat is great and takes the time to explain everything and even prioritize any work needed. Anyone I seem to talk to is friendly and courteous. Most important I feel like I can trust them, which I consider the most important. Lastly, having a customer database that keeps track of your services also makes it easier to manage.
We have been taking our two older Jeeps to Midas on Herricks Rd for years. Lance, Tat and team are great! Honest, professional, high quality work. They have kept our vehicles safe and on the road and saved us a lot of money over the years. Cannot recommend more highly
Pat and the mechanics were very professional. They took care of my tires and even put back the covers on them and everything. I will return for my other auto needs.
I needed a shock absorbers and tires for my 2012 honda civic. Tat was really nice and very professional and explained everything that needed to get done with my car. Price was reasonable with what needed done. My car was done when it promised which was nice. I would definitely be back in the future for service for my cars. Ty guys job well done!!!
Ive been going here for years. Lance, Tat and Imran are the guys I deal with most frequently. Ive been very satisfied. AND, if you happen to be female, you wont get talked down to! I always ask questions because I want to understand how the car works and theyll explain things. You need a good mechanic you can trust. Your car is a big investment, at least for someone of my means. Bottom line, 5 stars.
Very good experience. Excellent customer service and polite responses. I called about getting my NYS inspection and oil change and made an appointment. Tat was so accommodating for my schedule and made it possible for me to get the car inspected and was ok with me paying and coming back later for the car when my wife was off work. Would definitely go back.

Im always impressed by the personal service at the Mineola Midas on Herricks Road. These guys always go the extra mile to get my cars done as fast as possible, and they always do an excellent job at a fair price. I trust them 100% and highly recommend them!
Lance was a great help. He provided multiple price options and was able to get my repairs done the same day i dropped off the car. He kept me up to date as the work progressed and walked me through the work in detail upon completion.
These guys are honest and give you a fair price. After I take my car to the dealer I show them the car, tell them the recommendations and they give me a second opinion about what really needs to be done. It’s always a better deal than the dealer. They have taken care of 3 of my vehicles in the past 6 years. I trust them and that means a lot in this business. I highly recommend Tad and his team. Thanks guys!

The owner couple are very nice and helpful and seem honest and trustworthy. Didnt try to up sell. The oil change is only $20 with coupon. I highly recommend the Midas in mineola. The waiting area is kind of cramp and run down though.
The midas of mineola are a Great professional team were able to diagnose and do all require maintenance and repair that were needed. The midas team were able to take in my car at a late notice due to an unexpected fix but was up and running like new soon. Great team and reliable. I recommend this shop to anyone who wants an honest Mechanic that will tell you the truth about your vehicle and keep up to date with neccessary maintenance. And you will feel welcome at this shop. Don’t go for state inspection if you are not regular customer. I used to go there regularly but when I purchased new vehicle which came with free maintenance I only went to this Midas for state inspections and every time I go they would tell me I need new wipers blades. Even when I had inspected the wipers blades which weren’t ripped.My recommendation is to take pictures of your wiper blades before you drive there. I wish I had done that to show them the police when filing complain.
UNPROFESSIONAL I just left there I had a 9am car inspection I get there at 9 am a lady greeted me asked me did I have a appointment I told her yes she confirmed my name she was nice . The guy who runs the place on the phone handling a customer with a issue meanwhile see me there no hold on no nothing. I asked the lady how long for the inspection she said a hour ! A hour ? I had a 9 am appointment why a hour for something that takes 15 min ?i just asked for my keys and left. Horrible service

They have been fixing my old older car for many years and keeping it going for far longer than I ever thought it could go. They are super honest and good people.
Came here to change my BMWs tire. The service was excellent. The guy who works there is amazing and old-school nice. I noticed that he was chatting and friendly with everyone, not just me - really treated everyone like family. Im taking away 1 star because prices arent competitive. They are a bit pricey - but again, very quick service and pleasant to deal with so it may be worth the slight markup in tire price.

Con! Do NOT go here!! I will never go here again and neither should you. First problem was when I first walked in. Made an online reservation and the owner said that he forgot to check online reservation. It was just for a inspection. He does the visual inspection and tells me that my power steering fluid is leaking and the repair would be just under $1000. He charges me for the inspection and I go to get a second opinion from my mechanic. My mechanic says no leaks after running all the tests. Not only did he waste my time taking off of work but my mechanics. Not to mention giving me a panic attack. Never go here. Bet he so happy with my measly $37 and not a repeat customer.
I feel these guys are pretty honest and fair. I usually bring both my cars here for service. I even get free oil changes from my dealer, but end up coming here and just paying for them because it is more convenient.They have done above what I have expected. I hate to give them a good review because it will make them more busy and make it harder for me to get my service :(
Guys are great, I feel the prices are a bit highm, but they did a profesional clean job and they showed me the parts and what theyre were about to do...Resolved in a few hours, attendant went to the dealer to get the parts, whatever the cost, Im very satisfied..!!!
My experience reminds me of when I was growing up and my dad and our local mechanic became friends. I found Lance to be upfront with the brake issues on my car. He explained and showed me what was wrong and what the brakes and rotors should look like. Lance also explained the various reasons why that would happen. He gave me various options and price points for remediation. Also observing his interactions with other customers (most were return customers), it is apparent that he and his team take pride in their work and his customers know it. I will be returning there for any issue with my car.

What an amazing group of people that own this family run business. Lance went above and beyond to help me in a time of need looking for nothing in return. He showed true kindness and took his own time to help me fix my car and get it up and running so I could make my way home. There arent too many people in this time we live in anymore that would genuinely show that kind of sincere concern for a stranger to ensure they were okay. Especially even after they anonymously dropped off their vehicle and left it there all day without notification taking up a parking spot for a potential customer. Again Lance I couldnt thank you enough for your genuine act of kindness in my time of need. If youre looking for a business with employees of the highest level of morality and courtesy definitely make this your first and only stop.
Friendly, honest and knowledgeable. Which justify why this place is always busy. Appointment is highly recommended. Great place to go to for your routine maintence and most mechanical issues. Their price is fair and they do spend the time to explain things and give options which I really like.

Lance and his whole team at Midas on Herricks Rd in Mineola went way above and beyond to get my van back on the road.I brought them a 20 year old van that needed extensive front end work on Thursday with the impossible deadline of the following Friday morning. They stayed late Thursday night, battled through multiple incorrect parts deliveries, came in early on Friday and drove 20 minutes away to secure the correct part.They had me out the door by Friday morning with a van I could trust on a road trip. They even helped me out with the bill.Would rate 10 stars!

Usual business tactics, when called gave one price and no mention of any wrb coupon. Upon completion of servuces, the price was doubled. When mentioned the phone conversation, the service manager asked for a printed coupon, which was not mentioned when I called. Greedy fox.

I have had several trucks taken there and every time their service is above par. If any work needs to be done they will always call before hand and they do a great job of following up with a call. I would not take my trucks any where else. Great guys.

DO not go here!!!! Stay away...quote for things that you dont need. Went in for an inspection , they failed me because of a supposed leak in my steering rack (they may be responsible for the leak ). Went for a second opinion, passed inspection and was told there was a slight leak not in the rack itself but just the rubber boot. Cost of fixing a few hundred with installation a far cry from $1000 that midas quiotes me.Think that your hard earned money is ok to steal from you!!!!!!!!!!

2022-03-18As a 1st time customer to most places, you always have a little anxiety and fear if you will be treated fairly and respectfully and if you will be overcharged. However, my experience at this shop was AMAZING. Tat explained everything that was wrong with my vehicle in terms that I could understand and even re explained what was needed to my brother when I called him. I did not hear the other employees names but they were all very friendly and personable which is very important when in today’s times quality customer service seems to be a thing of the past. I even received a follow up text reminding me my inspection was up next month. I will definitely be returning for future services as this location gets everything right

2021-12-20I went in for an oil change and my tire pressure light was on, I had asked the owner to check it for me. He said sure and went sit in front of his computer the whole time. When the worker was done with the oil change, I went out to ask the worker if he had checked the tire pressure for me, the owner came out and stopped him and told me he had asked the other worker to check it for me. But when I check the tire pressure light, it was still on. I took the car to my brothers house asking him to check them for me and both rear tires only had 20 psi in them. Ive been referring friends to this shop and Ill never recommend anyone to use this shop again. It is not ok to lie to anyone and betray their trust on you, and especially if its related to someones safety and their familys safety!!!

2020-09-11So I had purchased four tires online at the end of 2019 and was going to have Costco install them but apparently their new policy is that they wont install tires not purchased at Costco which is dumb because they dont even sell my size tires! Anyway, because of that, I had to find a place that WOULD install my tires for me and my friend referred me to Midas in Mineola! Tire installation was reasonably priced and done in a timely manner. The staff there was very nice and professional.I recently came back a few days ago to have my inspection and oil change done. It was actually pretty last minute but they were able to squeeze me in with no issues and I had my inspection and oil change done in a little over an hour. I had only waited 10 minutes before they brought my car in to be serviced! I brought my own filter and oil so they used that. They placed a sticker for when my next oil change is due on the corner of my windshield which was a nice reminder.Masks are required upon entry and you can either wait inside or outside (there are chairs available). I did not catch the name of the staff member that helped me inside but he was very nice, professional and pleasant. I will be returning for all my future car needs! :)

2021-05-25Can’t recommend these guys enough, Lance and Tat go above and beyond every time. Having worked in a dealership service center I’ve gotten a first hand look at some of the insanity that tends to happen behind the scenes in most shops, and because of that my family and I struggled with finding a shop we could trust. That is until a mutual friend of Lance and I recommended his shop, now I won’t bring any of my cars anywhere else. You truly won’t find another shop like Midas of mineola, Lance and Tat are 2 of the most honest guys I’ve ever met in the business. I recommend all friends and family to them with total and complete confidence. From checking out a old Honda Accord I was looking to buy (helped me avoid purchasing a total lemon) to doing major suspension work on my fathers Hyundai Tucson, Lance and Tat have been a tremendous help to my family and I, again I really can’t recommend this shop enough.

2021-09-02Would not rotate tires upon request with oil change and inspection. He said tires were good so the guy left it. Maybe the tires were good because of regular rotations that let the tires wear evenly? Just do what the customer asks. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location.They also didnt call me after the job was finished as requested so I came 1 hour before another appointment to give them more time. I could not budget the time for a tire rotation that same day and had to leave.I was given a discount and an IOU for a free tire rotation, but now I have to budget 2 hours another day to get this done. I like this location so this is disappointing.
