Middle Country Library is enjoyable to visit. I take my granddaughter there to enjoy everything offered. It is always clean and the staff is very accommodating.
This place is amazing! I’ve been bringing my two year old here for over a year. There is a great selection of toys for him to play with, all extraordinary clean and well kept! The staff is also very nice. Always a good experience here.
They are doing a nice job with social distancing and have plenty of staff to assist any patrons. I was pleasantly surprised at the volume of materials. I forgot how nice it is to go and roam the stacks!
I have been going to this library since I was a kid. Sitting in the reading boat used to be the highlight of my day! As an adult, I come to MCPL to study or write, which brings me to my 4/5 star review. The chairs provided for sitting at a desk with an outlet seem to have been designed by a sociopath. This would be a 5 star review if I could sit at a desk and still be able to feel my butt after an hour of trying to get work done.
Worst library Ive been to on LI to use computers. First my Mastic library card doesnt work here. 2nd, I had to go back and fourth from the computers and service desk 3-4 times and waist time. Then after 15 min of this stress, they tell me there is only 3 computers that I can use and are occupied and you must wait, so I just walked out frustrated each time. This experience happened to me 3 times over the years here. Dont waist your time! Seems like they have more money than they know what to do with here.

Really nicely set up clean and fun if you have children they have many different areas for the kids to play including outside adventure area and an inside theme area that they change and update a couple times throughout the year

Omg what a beautiful library I bring my 3 year granddaughter there what an amazing selection of learning activities also very clean and friendly staff.
My first time at the Library and I am AMAZED at how wonderful it is. Very spacious. I have to figure reason to return.
They have a good collection of foreogn films. The staff is good and if they dont have a bool you can borrow it from other libraries.
I love this place. It has the friendliest staff and it is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Also ask about the auto-renewal program they have.. unbelievably convenient.

2022-06-12Very large collection, well maintained library with pleasant staff. They are extremely responsive to comments and suggestions. I have been satisfied every time I have made contact with them, and they have replied every time to a comment or suggestion I made. The hours are generous and the loan periods excellent with automatic renewal if no hold requests. They also have the most recent titles available including Blu-ray DVDs. For those with young children, the library offers specific play areas including outdoors that always entertains my 6 year old. Even though we have moved to a different library system, we continue to return here and they continue to welcome us.

2020-08-06Ive always loved this library. Large space, excellent collection, wonderful librarians. Right now they are doing a wonderful job of keeping everyone safe. Masks are required, and all chairs have been removed so that one cant sit and stay, unless one specifically asks to, then they bring a chair and ask you to leave after an hour. If you dont want to come inside, you can check out your books online and schedule a curbside pickup. Thank you, MCPL!!

2020-02-23Middle Country Public Library is absolutely gorgeously designed. The architectural design is artistry in itself. Very uniqueI went in looking for a book for my daughters class and Stephanie was very accommodating as to locating the book and opening up the juniors section to attain the book for me even when the area was closed. She was very courteous and professional.Upon check out Linda was very gracious in checking me out as well....very professional & accommodating.Middle Country Public library is the platform of integrity and kindness everyone is welcoming and friendly.

2021-03-06One of my favorite libraries. Lots of things to choose from although they do a lot of ebooks. Nice quiet place to relax and hang out and learn some new things. Great kids section also!!
