Despite living in Amherst, NY, for nearly 33 years, as a strict vegan Ive only eaten at Mighty Taco two previous times. However, theyve recently added Impossible ground to the menu, and I decided to try it. I ate only two made to order tacos, and they were delicious. This chain has some quirky menu items that youd never see in a more traditional TexMex restaurant, but the food is tasty.
Placed our order with no problems. There were 2 vehicles ahead of us. The car at the pick up window was there for 10 minutes or more & left with nothing. The vehicle ahead of us pulled up and got their order right away. We pulled up & no one was at the window. We sat there for over 5 minutes & still no one. We left. This whole ordeal took 20 to 25 minutes out of our day & it was after the lunch run...it was around 2:30pm. No excuse is good enough for this. Totally unacceptable.
Ufff what a nasty service cold meat,really a mess I think a can of soup will be better. Sad and I love mighty taco
This place is a buffalo staple. Whether you need lunch a quick dinner or after a long night out this place is always there.

They dont know how to make a super mighty and it had hot sauce coming out everywhere rolled like a 2year old. And while eating you can here the boss threatening the workers crazy.
Love the food, but what made this place top-notch was the well trained, polite and friendly staff. Having worked fast food myself, makes me appreciate all the more having my cashier smile, be courteous, polite and helpful after what I can only imagine was a rough day dealing with unfriendly or rude customers, as is the norm in fast food. I will be returning should I get a hankering for Mighty again!
You know that feel good feeling you get when something makes your insides go ahhhh. Here we are.I would hardly describe Mighty Taco as fancy by *any* means (although their Buffito tastes fancy in a Buffalo-kind-of-way), but it is tasty, warm, more local than the big chain and hit the spot! And satisfied my beloveds crunch crave. 😏One negative on the order was I looked forward to their chili and ordered a chili nachos to try it out... felt the amount of chili on it was pretty scarce :( next time will order a bowl so I can really get that chili ahhhhh
Drive thru was very slow. Complacent girl not communicating while taking your money. One Mighty Q was cold and the cheese had congealed already. Just a poor experience. Spent far too much for two things that completely underwhelmed me. Very disappointed.
A Buffalo staple.If you come to Buffalo or come back to Buffalo, go to Mighty Taco. Its nowhere close to authentic Mexican, but they get a pass because of who they are.I remember going there over 40 years ago and they were already the place to go. Theyre good because they still do what they did back then.I always get either a Super Mighty hot with extra hot sauce on the side. Yeah, I do that. Or, I get a large Chicken Fajita plain with, yes, hot sauce on the side.Get it as a combo and you get chips with either cheese or salsa and a drink. Note, the cheese has a bit of zip to it.Side note to Mighty Taco. Bring back the numbered combos. I dont like to calculate cost making something into a combo.I go there probably once a week. Its healthier and fresher than processed burgers. I dont feel the after ick after eating other fast food.Trust me, youll like it.
Prepared as they should be. Doesnt sound like a big deal, but getting good service like they provided has become a challenge recently. Keep up the good work!
I didnt like the tacos but the fajita salads are awesome.
Ordered 6 tacos at the drive in window. Received 4 tacos instead of 6 and 2 did not have lettuce or tomato. Also, I ordered mild and got medium or hot. Tried to call the restaurant but number just kept ringing. Make sure you check your order fully before paying for it or go somewhere else.
Used to love mighty, but it seems like 1 in every 5 times I go now its a solid experience. I think they need quality control on their Nacho Buffitos, the ones I had today were chalk full of nacho chips and blue cheese but the blue cheese was far too much and overpowered everything else.
Dear management, if a persons food is going to take LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES to make, have that person pull up or pull off to the side. Made 2 cars have to get out and go inside. I said screw it and left. Sucks I had to waste food. I left cause I couldn’t wait wait in line longer. Ordered food at 11:58, drove away at 12:15.
Drive thru tonight.... Super slow, prolly under staffed. Didnt realize I got the wrong order till I was home. Asked for 4 super mightys and got 6 mightys. Whamp Whamp Whamp... Disappointed.
This is the newest store in the mighty chain. I think they did a great job in setting up the dining area to be well lit and friendly. And of course still the great tacos you know and love.
A local Buffalo favorite. Tacos, burritos, quesedillas...basically a different flavor of Taco Bell. Its familiar food with a very different type of flavor. It takes some getting used to and is very divisive in who likes it. A lot of people not from Buffalo are taken off guard, but eventually you grow to love it. Very popular with the younger and late night crowds.
I agree that the quality of the food depends on who makes it. This was my last meal before flying home and I am extremely disappointed. The tortilla was hard to chew like it was left over from yesterday. No flavor because there is not enough inside compared to the amount of stale tortilla.I live about 2 minutes away and all of the food was already cold even though I told them to leave them on longer to make sure they would be hot. This is a constant battle. Often it feels like they just want to get the food done with instead of actually preparing it correctly. I ended up trying to microwave it at home.Also no napkins in the bag.
Went to the new location, I wont mention how they moved and now I have to drive to get my mighty fix instead of walking. Anyhow, the new location looks much better because its a new building. Food is the same though, fast food so take it as it is.

Very curtious and professional employees, I had the unique experience of watching the crew handle a problem that was presented to them a customer had a problem with her order and not only did the employee she was talking to try to help her, the whole crew got behind the employee and helped the lady. I couldnt believe it that I just experienced a team effort. I havent seen teamwork like that since I was in the Infantry. Keep up the good work!!.
Great service and great staff. Hardworking crew of 3 that showed up to work on Saturday the 28th when many lazy people are staying home.
I ordered a super mighty pack. The meat was dry, preparation was horrible, no hot sauce, and a super small ration of sour cream. For someone that grew up loving mighty taco I was thoroughly disappointed . I didnt want to, but when I called the store manager to complain I was treated like I was liar. Save your time and money. Go to a different location!

One of the workers ADMITTED to spitting in a customers food out of spite and when the store was confronted they said they can’t fire her without proof even with text proof of her saying she spit in the food. Very disappointing because this is a great location but I for sure will not be coming here again now that I know if you piss them off they really do spit in your meal lol. Store itself 4/5 but the fact that they are ok with actions like this is unacceptable and gains them my 1 star review
Buffalo and Mighty Taco, just nothing like it. Also I applaud there efforts offering most of the best starting wages for workers. I believe helps the staff be more genuine while surving you.
Horrible service, Luke warm food (scary) after waiting for 10 minutes, not an exaggeration! It was me pulling up in the drive thru, ordered, super pack and nothing weird that would take so long. No update from employee, no apology for the wait. Nothing but a unhappy customer who raves about mightys. Sheridan location.
Yuck! Ok, to set the groundwork on this review...Im from Texas and pretty familiar with Mexican food. I threw away more food than I ate! If this is the Mexican food you are used to, this may be amazing. For somebody not from Buffalo, re-think your decision!

Consistently the most inconsistent mighty around. Ive been a fan of mighty for years, but have simply stopped coming to this particular location. Its a complete coin flip wether your food will either be great, or cold and made poorly. For this reason alone I cant recommend this mighty.

I can only speak for super mightys and they are consistently delicious. I used the drive-thru and even though its super busy during lunch I still receive quick service

Whats not to like about Mighty? Besides the lack of consistency? My burrito is never rolled tightly and I always seem to be losing stuff out the back when I eat it. But I keep going back. Ill always go back.

2022-05-20Ive always been a Taco Bell fan but this Mighty Taco has pulled me over to the dark side. Fast, great service, and great quality. The only reason they dont get five stars is they dont stock enough impossible meat. They run out nearly every time I eat there, also the impossible meat is a bit expensive.. However if youre going for the traditional Mighty experience you wont be disappointed! Edited: 5 stars because of a manager follow-up... Like I said... Great service!

2022-01-09Well, because I am in my 50s, and have lived mostly in the Buffalo area, I sort of have no choice but to have a forever love for mighty. Its like imprinted on my soul. But I have to say, and my friends would agree, things have gotten kind of sketchy. First, it has always been the case that on some visits your tacos and burritos will be healthier than on other visits. I dont really knock them too much for that, people are people and there are humans back there putting them together. But lately it has gotten pretty routine for there to be a screw up in the order...usually amounts to a missing item, sometimes paid for, sometimes not. Theres usually 2 or 3 of us ordering several items, and since were almost always using the drive thru, its not really feasible to sit there and check everything while people are waiting behind us. Well weve grown to accept it as a hazard of doing business, but someone in our group is bound to be a little burned out, so even though I still like the food I feel like 3 stars is the best I can do if Im being honest. Happy munching.

2021-12-06Went this past Saturday...not a long line in the drive thru but long wait anyway. The guy gave us our drinks all wet and drippy with soda, and the burritos were barely wrapped and super messy. Will definitely be going to other locations.

2021-12-14I ordered 12 white soft shell beef tacos. With chips and cheese, Beef burrito and 2 loganberrys with NO Ice. Yeah they were busy.. So with the way young people listen they have difficulties. I understand...BUT APPARENTLY WHEN I CALLED TO TELL THEM OF THE WRONG ORDER...( THEY GAVE ME AN ORDER OF NO LETTUCE AND TOMATO) ON EVERYTHING WE ORDERED. THE MANAGER WAS RATHER BOTHERED AND I WAS INTERROGATED .I RARELY IF EVER HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT ANY FAST-FOOD RESTAURANT. I have ALWAYS BEEN POLITE AND KIND. THESE YOUNG ADULTS ARE IN NEED. OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING.
