I love the fact they are the only winery in the Finger Lakes that serves drinks on a dock and you can drive your boat and dock it in. Way to stand out from the rest. Best view of the lake because youre on it. Also I love that they have beer because I really dont drink wine. Its a little expensive $6 for what I deem a small cup of beer (less than 12 oz.). But Evan is a very nice young gentleman who can carry a good casual conversation.
If you want photos by the lake this is is your spot! The winery has a short trail that leads to the docks in the summer. We went in the winter and it was stunning. The staff and owner were super attentive and the House is a historical stop of the Underground Railroad. The wine was OK. It was our last stop and we liked other ones better, but great place overall
Miles Wine Cellars was great I’m so many ways. It was beautiful inside and out. There was a dock you could sit at down by the water with a great, relaxing view. All of the staff were so kind and friendly. They also allowed our dog, Charlie, to visit with us, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Miles Wine Cellars for a great experience! Charlie says thank you as well.
We have enjoyed Miles for years! We just finished our second weekend at the Inn. This is a great place to relax after an afternoon of visiting the wine trail. We love the boat house and continue to meet great people each time we go. We also have enjoyed our experiences with the ghosts. They have never been frightening, just unexpected, letting us know they are there. We appreciate all the staff, who are delightful and totally accommodating. Suzie and Doug are great hosts. We can’t wait to bring more of our friends there.
Used to be a must hit destination on our Finger Lakes vacation. But it appears that this establishment has gotten away from being a winery with a relaxed atmosphere where customers are more than customers. Now it’s a very stuffy atmosphere where the tastings no longer include a souvenir glass. They cost more. The tastings are barely enough to properly taste. Server makes no attempt to explain the wine. Almost seemed bothered by our being there. The $7 wine slushy is served in a bathroom cup and tastes like they forgot the wine. We usually leave with two cases, but only 3 bottles this year. The wines overall have gotten flat in quality over the last few years, but this year....This was a very devastating experience for us since we really used to enjoy this place. We have seen this sort of degradation to other wineries up here. But never to one we enjoyed. I’m sad to say we have visited this place for the last time.
Wonderful family run winery right on the lake with access to their private boat house/bar area! Super nice family & spunky little puppy Boon. Sweet grounds to taste their wines. Glad we stopped. Also had aB&B in the old house which they say is haunted by friendly ghosts. Maybe next stay!
Nice small place. Same wine maker as Fox run. I would recommend a visit to Fox run instead. Similar wines. More at Fox run and staff at fox run was more in tune with talking with you and telling stories and being friendly over all. We still had a nice time at this place I wouldnt turn anyone away from this place. If they became a bit more personable this would be a phenomenal little spot to visit.
Old House Winery and Craft Beers, nestled along the lake with a beautiful boat house dock you can sit on the water and have your drinks. Lots of fun history there! Wonderful people. The tasting was wonderful, the workers were smiling and the glass at the end was ours to keep. Will Definitly stop again!
First time to visit Miles. Our wine server was friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. We purchased 6 bottles of wines and disappointed that we received no discount nor did they waive the tasting fee. The serving size is much smaller than other wineries. Now that I know there is no discount or waiving of tasting fees when 2 or more bottles of wine are purchased we will go elsewhere. They are certainly not the only winery available.
The view is fantastic but thats about it - everything else was very disappointing. The barrtender didnt explain about the different wines and poured us the desert wine first. We felt very unwelcome and that someone is pushing us just to drink fast and go away. The wines were also not good in my opinion.
Love their wine slushies, though wish you still wish you got to keep the cup. Theyre a dollar more and you lose the free wine glass. I do love that this place has a bar right down on the dock where you can drink wine, one of the only places I know of which this option.
Definitely skip this one. First problem is the rude staff especially the owner Sarah. As a local chauffeur I know they have had a real bathroom for years, yet they send ALL customers out to a port a potty in their muddy parking lot. Also wines are comparatively sub par. Better options (with real bathrooms) are Anthony Road to the north and Glenora to the south.
The view at Miles wine cellars is fantastic! They hooked me up on the wine tasting since I enjoy sweet wines and only a couple on the list was sweet. Cache and Wisteria wines were both great. To top it all off I got a free bottle of wine for being AD military! Thanks for your support Miles wine cellars!
Awful experience all around. I had a tasting that was being poured by the owner, and he was disrespectful the entire time. He addressed my party in a condescending way, and told misinformation about his product in an attempt to sell. I thought that his attempt at winemaking was pitiful. All of the products that I tasted were reductive which lead me to believe that the grapes used were of poor quality. After my tasting I felt the need to throw up. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Despite the nice view of the lake, the disrespect from the staff and owner paired with the vomit inducing wines make this joke of an establishment the last place you ever want to go.
Was not a good experience. They barely pour enough to even do a perfunctory tasting of swishing and inhaling. Then have the audacity after charging for the glass to say just leave it. I could care less about the glass and would rather have enough of a pour to truly tell the character of the wine.
Off the beaten path down near the lakefront for those looking for a view and picture spot. They need a better organized and larger parking area for visitors. An area to keep larger conveyance vehicles would be helpful to keep the driveway areas clear and easier to navigate.
The Georgian-style house imposes an air of grandeur and grace to the place. The huge and very old, judging by the trunk, the tree welcomes with its shadow and its undulating branches. They hang down forming a cozy canopy.Inside there are 4 wine and beer tasting stations. I chose the one for beers and I was not mistaken. Great selection of different craft beers. Then you go out and find this amazing view of the lake in the middle of immaculate gardens. Going down an adjacent path you reach the shore of the pebble beach. There are some chairs to sit on and with a glass of wine in hand or a beer to simply contemplate the huge lake. There is a bar that is called by a decking. There are tables and chairs and service there.

2021-08-02A great place with some unique wine. We really enjoyed the tasting and outdoors of this winery. They have a beautiful patio and a boat house which is open weather permitting. If you try the Ghost wine don’t forget to ask the back story of the name.

2022-06-04One of the best places to come and hang out. Not only is their wine fantastic, they have a large selection of local beers and ciders. The dock bar is beautiful, we could stay all day. It is also dog friendly which is appreciated.

2022-06-15Gorgeous landscape with the weeping willow tree and boat house/dock. However the wine tasting is inside the house, which is quite dark. The property is so beautiful, yet there’s no tastings available outside. The only restroom available is a portapotty in the parking lot. We chose to come to this winery because it’s one of the few right on the water, and while we might consider coming back due to the fact that we could get a glass of wine and take it down to the water, we aren’t rushing to get back here.

2022-05-27What a fantastic, beautiful and possibly haunted place. Wine is out of this world and same goes to the spirits, I can still smell the citrus Gin. The tasting experience is phenomenal too, small and intimate

2020-10-12Very cute winery and beautiful location (right on the water). The service was slow which is usually fine but was running on a strict schedule so I felt like I didn’t have much take to truly enjoy the tasting. I prefer tastings where I can pick and choose amongst a list rather than ordering pre-set tasting options, but all in all, beautiful scenery and good wine.

2020-10-30A phenomenal experience! The gentleman that hosted our tasting also was one of the wine makers that started a distilling process. The knowledge that this gentleman imparted with us was vast and interesting. Be sure to try the Solera Uncharted Spirit, aged on a sail boat on the lake, hand labeled for small batch! The Wisteria, Cache, and Call me a Cab wines were amazing as well
