I was looking for a Hair Stylist and Make Up Artist for a christmas party I was going to this last year and Lucy from Miss Harlequin was recommended to me through a friend whos wedding hair and make up she did last year.Lucy is super fun, super professional and super English which only serves to adds greater interest to the service!Lucy made me feel relaxed and pampered and I left to go out not only feeling unbelievably confident but safe in the knowledge I still looked like me... I felt a million dollars only without that price tag!! Lucy comes Highly Recommended.
Lucy and her team added so much fun and spirit to our wedding day. They were professional and so much fun to work with. The girls and mothers loved their hair and makeup and Lucy was so patient throughout the whole process. I cannot thank her enough!

From the very start, Lucy was calm, funny, and quick to respond. She was able to suggest beautiful options for my shorter hair that still felt 100% me. On my wedding day, I was floored by how amazing and natural Lucy made me look! On top of all that, she was so sweet and funny, I could have hung out with her all day!

Lucy and her stylists are true professionals. Lucy was responding to my multiple texts promptly and thoroughly. I liked my stylist Cati a lot. She showed up 10 min prior to the appointment. She was super nice and accommodative, a good specialist using good products. Everyone loved my looks.
I can not say enough good things about Miss Harlequins team. I had the pleasure of having Cati do my wedding hair and makeup, and she was just perfect for me. She did the exact updo I showed her and gave me a perfectly natural but gorgeous make up look. I was married on a very hot and humid summer day, but the airbrush makeup lasted all day long and my hair did not flatten or frizz. Cati met me at 6:30 in the morning and was so kind and a pleasure to speak with to help calm my nerves the morning of. I couldnt recommend anyone better.

Had a great experience with makeup for engagement photos. I didn’t know what I wanted because I never wear makeup and they worked with me to figure it out. Ms. Lucy rescheduled with me at the last minute the night before because we were going to have torrential rain. When the shoot happened Ms. Alicia came over on time; she’s sweet, professional, and knew EXACTLY what she was doing- she gave me plenty of time to ask for anything I wanted adjusted or different too. They are the best of the best; so easy to work with and they really care about your happiness

2022-08-01I booked Lucys City Hall hair/makeup for my NYC elopement and she delivered exactly what I wanted! She listened when I said I wanted minimal makeup, not over-the-top glam. I looked like a beautiful, flawless version of myself. False lashes were included in the package. The waves in my hair stayed all day, which never happens. She answered every email quickly and even provided me with tips for the months leading up to my wedding. I highly recommend Lucy for your event!

2022-08-15Miss Harlequin did makeup for my micro wedding - myself, the two mothers and the four sisters between my husband and me. It was difficult finding a makeup artist on short notice given our short engagement, so I was thrilled they were available on the Saturday of our summer wedding. Lucy was very responsive and highly organized, making it easy to coordinate.After having an initial trial I wasnt happy with the week of my wedding, Lucy quickly set up a second trial with another artist that more closely fit the timeless, elegant, natural and romantic aethetic I wanted. Maria was absolutely everything I was looking for. She was punctual, personable, professional and fast and brought a calming, grounded presence to all of us the day of the wedding. The colors she had were gorgeous on our skin tones and everyone had a soft, natural look that enhanced their beautiful features. My family and I trusted her completely and felt gorgeous all day. She also had helpful tips about how to prep my skin for the day. Thank you Lucy and Maria for helping the most important women in my life and me look and feel like the best versions of ourselves on such a special day! Cant recommend you highly enough.

2021-09-05Lucy did my hair/ makeup for my NYC elopement and I am so happy I chose her for the occasion. I waited until the week of to book my hair and make up and from the very start, Lucy was quick to respond and so personable.I showed her a couple of pics for ideas I had for hair/makeup and she nailed it!! My hair/makeup lasted all day through the night and was exactly what I had envisioned. She was so sweet and really helped calm my nerves the morning of.

2022-04-24Lucy was super responsive and fantastic !! I had the pleasure of getting my hair and makeup done by Annelis and she did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup. And I have very fine shoulder length hair and she made it work ! And she was super friendly and personable. She was also very hygienic with her makeup ! It make for a great and comfortable time.

2020-11-08Pleasant, professional, organized and talented -- Lucy is the type of hair and makeup artist every bride dreams of. I had planned an early morning micro wedding, which meant Lucy had to show up at my hotel room at the ungodly hour of 4:30am -- which she did with zero complaints. I had previously shown her some hair and makeup inspo (messy low fishtail braid, cat-eye makeup), and she executed it flawlessly, making sure I was happy with it before she left. SO MANY people complimented me on my hair and makeup, and I know I would never have been able to execute anything remotely close to what Lucy did. To top it off, with Covid still around, Lucy did my entire session wearing a KN95 mask, taking her and my safety seriously, which I appreciated. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

2017-02-13Ive worked with Lucy a few different times now, and am always impressed! Lucy did my hair and makeup for a New Years -- she created such a cool hairstyle and my makeup looked amazing, I was complimented all night.I then had a job interview with global beauty company here in NYC and needed to make sure my makeup looked professional - Miss Harlequin to the rescue! She used this airbrush foundation that stayed all day -- I looked and felt great, which definitely helped my confidence.And, to top it off, Lucy is the best to hang out with -- so fun and engaging. You wont want her to leave!If you want to look and feel great, book her now!

2019-08-06Highly recommend Miss Harlequin! Lucy, the owner, is exceptionally organized and timely in her communication. For our wedding we worked with Cati and Desi. Cati did our bride and groom hair/makeup, and she was an absolute joy to work with. She listened to us, and gave us all the time we needed both in our trial appointments, and the day of to make sure we felt and looked our absolute best. Our hair and makeup looked exactly as we wanted it to, and everything stayed in place and to perfection the entire night. Cati was also very sweet, patient, and kind, and just a lovely person to have with us on our wedding day. Desi did the hair and makeup for the mother of the bride, and she made my mother look absolutely stunning. She looked truly gorgeous. My mother said that Desi was delightful to work with and that the hair and makeup Desi did for her made her feel so beautiful. We can’t recommend Miss Harlequin enough. They are true professionals in every aspect of their business and makeup/hair artistry!

2017-02-13Lucy is a one of a kind.I have typically not had positive experiences getting others to do my makeup. Ive never felt listened to when I say I want to look natural, not overdone. Not with Lucy. Id never had my make-up airbrushed on before, which was revolutionary. It gave just a very light coverage of foundation - just enough to even out and brighten my complexion but not so much that the real me didnt show through. Equally, my eye make-up was just enough to complement my complexion and define my eyes without being too much. Lucy really listened to me and recommended eyeshadow shades that suited me perfectly but were still within my comfort zone.And last, but not least, my hair: It was fun in our trial session to google lots of images of possible styles and get her advice on which would suit me. On the day I was really pleased with how it all came together - she nailed it straight away the hairstyle was exactly how I wanted it.Lucy was a joy to have there on my wedding day while I was getting ready. She was super calm and uber professional. I felt like I was in such safe hands. My Mom, who is a tough critic, also felt really confident and comfortable with the way Lucy did her hair and make-up.Id recommend her in a heartbeat!
