We ordered this and it seemed like a toddler made our rolls. The rice seemed expired, rock solid, and fell right off the sushi and the Kani salad was just stripped crab and cucumber. It didn’t even have the sauce it normally does on it. Our experience was very sad for us and way overpriced for this rushed sushi. We were also charged 50 cents per sauce which means this rice is actually expired to save some costs.

I was surprised that there arent that many Japanese restaurants in the local area. Many of the local restaurants serve sushi, but they arent sushi restaurants. Theyre just Americana with some sushi on the menu. Miyako Sushi is the real deal. I think there might be one other one locally. I got a sushi deluxe, as I typically do. It was very good and I got a lot of salmon, which I love. The salmon was...Im not really sure how to describe it...maybe a little oily? More than likely it was a more fatty salmon, and I am not a big fan of the extra grease. But it was still relatively good. I placed the order by phone and picked it personally, so I got to see the restaurant. Its a quaint little restaurant with several tables. It was a very nice evening, so they had the front glass doors opened up onto the sidewalk. There were some chairs set up for people picking up, set both inside and out. I did not see any more clients while I was there, though I didnt have to wait very long. I think this restaurant can be easily missed, but Miyako Sushi is definitely too good to pass up when youre looking for authentic Japanese food.

Their Sake Don, which Ive ordered several dozen times since moving to the upper reaches of Manhattan, is a very generous portion for the price and the fish is always fresh and tasty. Hard to find consistency at sushi places sometimes, but I was impressed with how I could get the same thing every time and be impressed every one of those times. Gotta knock off a star for the uni, the quality of which is hit or miss.

I just love their lunch special menu. It’s simple but definitely worth to try. Fast service, quality food and polite staff. Will come back.

Avoid. Quality is not good and the sushi isn’t flavorful. I’d forgive it for a lower price but it just isn’t a great option compared to even Whole Foods premade…

Sushi is always fresh. High quality food at a nice price point. Miyako is my go-to when ordering Japanese.

Nice place to get sushi any time. You can eat here even after 9pm which is nice. I like all of their rolls

I actually dont eat seafood, but there rest of the dishes here are DELICIOUS and in ample portions - with a great inexpensive $8 lunch special. Quality ingredients, friendly wait staff, in an unassuming sparsely decorated Space, around a traditional sushi 🍣 counter where the chefs can be admired. Good COVID-safe practices. Two tables on the sidewalk, three indoors with a nearly completely open storefront (not just the door). Theres a wheelchair ramp for the two steps up. Will definitely be returning!
