My name is Shanell and I gave a Family Reunion at MJ Catering on August 27th, Saturday 2021. I actually live in the state of Florida and my family is all in NYC. I was able to plan my reunion from Florida!! I love them all, so professional and help you with all your needs. The hall was the perfect size for my reunion. My new family!! I really love how professional they are and they all have hearts of gold. I will plan all my events here from now on!! I love you guys from SHANELL!!
Just had my babyshower at the M&J room J venue and it was amazing! They are super supportive and helpful throughout the entire process! I used their decor option and Irma and her decor team were beyond amazing she listened to all my wanted details and definitely out did herself!! Words can’t describe how beautiful that room was when I entered it! Because of her I will have beautiful memories! Location was great!
I used this venue in November to host my sisters baby shower. I had the all inclusive package with food and decoration. I was extremely happy with the event. The decoration was beautiful and Irma was a pleasure to work with. The food was delicious. My guest were very happy. Thanks to the staff for making our event a great one.
Papito was the best he waited on me until I was ready he was there every step of the way !! When I called he answered !! Great space great price friendly service great staff !! Definitely booking all my events with papito
I came here for my for my sisters baby shower and it was a great time. The DJ was great, he had the whole place dancing all night. The food was also really good, the meat was juicy and the potato salad was awesome. Id definitely go to another function here, 10/10 recomend it!
I came here for my aunts baby shower and my first impression of the place was great. The decorations were beautiful, whom ever the decorator was deserves so much credit. Also, from what I was told about the services, they are all inclusive and can provide any service your party needs. Furthermore, the food they provided was amazing, it tasted like my mothers food (which is hard to beat); especially the pernil which was particularly good. Everyone in the party was dancing and having a good time, it really seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. From the ambiance down to the food, MJ Catering Hall will leave you wondering if this great event space really is in the Bronx. One more thing, the location next to Yankee stadium is always a plus! 5 stars all the way around!
Very nice , bright very clean .They are really fallowing covid , orders . Went to a small party and I really liked it .I would recommend it to anyone who wants to throw a small party. The staff were always pleasant and friendly also my nephew who was throwing the small baby shower had to uninvite a few people because Mj Catering had to follow Covid rules !
M&J catering hall is an amazing establishment. I attended a baby shower that my friend held and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience. The decorations were fabulous and the food was outstanding. The staff their were very helpful and attended to many of our needs. I can honestly say that I am strongly considering on hosting my next event here.
Best services ever.....I just had my daughters Sweet Sixteen there last night and the service was AMAZING. Papito was able to work with me at all time. Irma the decorator did a fantastic job. I didnt have to move a finger. Mildreds food was delicious....Everything was great. Thank you to the entire staff!!!
I went to MJ Catering recently for a corporate luncheon with about a dozen colleagues after a recommendation from a friend. I wanted something that was more personable then a regular restaurant and was highly impressed. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the overall experience was better then I could have expected. I highly recommend them and am planning another event soon.
Our family just had our second big event at Galaxy Party Hall. Our first one was my grandsons 1st Birthday Party. We fell in love with this venue, services was exceptional very clean, security on premises, most of all they offer decorating services which turned out beautiful. Now we just had my daughters Baby shower. The decorations were phenomenal I highly recommend this establishment you get your moneys worth. Thank you Galaxy Hall Staff for making both my events FABULOUS.

Hello, We just had our daughters Sweet 16 party at MJ ( the big room)this past weekend and it was AMAZING!!! Papito is wonderful! Irma and Mildred are the sweetest ladies, Mildred, the food was AWESOMEEEEE!!! The bartender Rich was also wonderful! will definitely host another party with MJ!Thank you!
I spent countless hours looking for a hall that was able to provide everything I was looking for. Luckily, I found MJ and boy was I happy. Papito was able to get me the date I needed and went above and beyond on exceeding all of my expectations. If you are looking for a place to host any special event....MJ is the place to be. I will definitely let all of my coworkers know about this hidden Gem.
Where do I start??? This place is amazing and it’s the staff that makes it that way!! Hands down the best experience I’ve received when dealing with a Hall rental. First Richie, omg, he was so attentive, so hands on and constantly (and not in an annoying way) coming in to check on me and my guests. Any needs, whether it was for more ice, to change the lighting, to adjust the temperature, any request he gladly did it and did it with urgency and as if he really cared that we were comfortable and having a good time. If I still lived in the borough, without a question this would be my place to throw everything. Ok now to the security guard Blace. He was such a nice but straight forward person. He let us know the rules and limitations but in a way where it was respectful and considerate of our feelings. Most security guards cand be difficult, rude and/or standoofish but not him. He was nice enough where you can ask questions but stern enough to know don’t think about it lol. Just Amazing!! Last but not least the owner Papito was just a breeze. So easy to work with. Responded to everything I asked even when it was the same question over and over lol. Great guy. Great place and great staff.So if you didn’t guess it yet I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place!! Lol. Sorry for the long review but they was just that good I had to take the time to do so. 😊
Great place for any event. Everything was on point. Decorations, food, management.etc. Couldn’t ask for a better place to have my daughter’s birthday. Will definitely recommend to all my family and friends and will be using them again. A special thanks to Papito for all the help. He was always available for any questions and concernes I had.

I attended an event. Nice size room to host a large amount. Number one the tis extermely over price. The owner has more then four locations in the bronx. But has a set up with the whole family .he rent you the location then offer DJ, food and decor. The problem is the decor is horrible no creative vision just plan color back center pieces. The food omg was bad the pork nasty, baked ziti nasty and the meats. Please if you rent bring your own food and hire your own decor person and DJ.
The place is reasonable and nice. The staff are professional and accommodating.I would rent it again. Note that parking is tough. So get early.

Really nice place, they did the decorations, food and more. Went for a baby shower I had a great time. The only down side its a walk up no elevator.

The place is perfect very nice bathrooms in good condition the only problem for my bad experience was when I arrived and asked for a couple of tables that I was missing and the manager was giving me some that did not combine with the othersAnd when I told him that I wanted the same ones that the others started talking in a tone that is not right for someone who is paying for their services and for the moment of the event my bar man saw him more focused on his phone than in the event I cannot say that everything was fine but my recommendation is that you choose better the people you hire starting with the manager

Everyone was very pleased, food was delicious and the decoration was gorgeous. She followed every little instructions and request made by my picky teenager 🥰for all the decorations made of flowers and butterflies 🦋

2021-08-10If I could give more stars I would. My Sweet 16 was here and I had an awesome time. I had about 80 people in the J room and there was a lot of room to dance. Very spacious. Irmas decorations were so nice and exactly how I wanted it to be. Evelyn was very nice and she made sure our experience was perfect. Everyone there was very polite and they return calls. The inside is really nice and clean and it makes up for the neighborhood it’s in.

2022-05-01I did not take pictures of the event I attended at this location so this review will be given as a simple attendee. This location can be deceiving from the outside. It is well lit and nicely furnished. The party rooms are spacious for small gatherings of about 50 participants. I only noticed 2 party rooms, but Im not sure if the sliding doors can be opened to make it an even bigger space. The spaces have a shared bathroom that was kept clean and decently stocked.

2019-05-05My sister-in-law rented out this place to have her baby shower the space itself is very very huge as far as the location goes it is on top of a hill but if you can walk up the hill you should be fine

2021-06-14We used MJ Party Hall as a last minute catering/holding space for our film shoot (L&O). Papito was incredibly accommodating and a huge pleasure to work with! He had everything we needed for our setup and worked with us through our last-minute arrangements. We will definitely have this place in mind for future shoots in the Bronx. Highly recommended!

2021-06-13MJ Catering Hall is a VERY NICE AND CLEAN establishment. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is action packed (meaning there is dice playing in the side of the entrance and a lot of hustle) for this reason I give them FOUR STARS
