I had dinner at mocha burger on Sunday night and sat outside- inside was very crowded. Im really happy that I decided to sit outside because I was given excellent service by my waiter, Jonathan! He was amazing- SUPER fast and food was outstanding!!I will definitely be back soon!!!
This was my first time in the city and a friend told me about this place. At first I was reluctant on going because I’ve had bad experiences with meat restaurants in the past but this one blew my mind. The vast varieties of food made available at this restaurant is phenomenal. This waiter, Jonathan, provided excellent service and was very charming. Made sure everything was cooked to perfection and got brought to our table on time. Definitely recommend to anyone curious if trying kosher food in NYC.
I was walking around the neighborhood looking for someplace to ear when upon This place called mocha Burger anyway I went in but had no reservation, and a person named Jonathan went above and beyond to get me a table.and a dish caught my eye called steak surprise, anyway the food was outstanding , compliment to the chef. Anyway I had fun and will definitely refer it to it all my friend and Jonathan was the best and polite and patience, hopefully he’ll be there when I come back. Hats off to this place.
Best service! Everyone was super sweet and a special shout out to our server Antonio!! Had the Hawaiian with the whiskey cocktail. Whiskey cocktail on its own was a no for me, then the burger complimented it like nobody’s business ;) Music was a bit loud but liked what was playing, think more bar vibe and you’ll be good 👍
This place is a disgrace. You get such a sour taste In your mouth when you spend a lot of money on a birthday dinner and they charge you for the CANDLE IN THE DESSERT. I don’t think I’ve ever been charged $4 for a candle in my life. What a strange restaurant group. Go somewhere else. Foods not very good either
This place has some of the loudest music of any restaurant I’ve been to in New York. It operates above 85 decibels, which is enough to cause permanent hearing damage after 30 min of exposure.Additionally, there are often many birthdays during the course of a dinner, and for whatever reason they crank up the volume even further for a happy birthday song — to levels that actually feel painful on your ears. You should not visit this place unless you want to have hearing loss by the time you’re 40
Over priced and tried to gain money unfairly on the bill. Food tasted ok but the server took the wrong order, then tried to charge again for items that were originally on the dish, when tried to repair bringing the items I wanted they charged for them. They also force you to pay 20% service. I will not come back. So expensive for a very regular meal.
This kosher (under supervison of the OK) restaurant is an upscale burger joint. Its in Greenwich Village. They also have some chicken and steak entrees as well as some vegan side dishes but it is primarily about burgers with various toppingsI have been there several times and each time its crowded. Consequently, each time I am there service is on the slow side. Last time I was there, they didnt bring our fries. I told the waitress so she wouldnt charge me. There was a similar problem on a visit there several years ago. They have a good wine list (I think- I am not a wine drinker) and one of the best craft beer lists I have ever seen in a restaurant.. I always enjoy our dinner-just be patient and make sure you get everything you ordered.
So this is the second time I have been here. Its good, and the food is tasty. Its kosher and so that comes with a small extra price tag associated but its not too bad.I think its slightly over priced but portions are generous and as above the food is yummy. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The space is kept very clean. It gets busy and kinda loud. The birthday song that is played for each person that decided to celebrate here is some what annoying and very load so hopefully you dont have to suffer through one of those. But I guess if its your birthday why not let everyone know.We got a bit hungry that I totally forgot to take photos of all the great dishes but I did what I could..If youre looking for a kosher, lively spot hit this place up and give it a try.
This evening was delectable. Our incredible (and quite good looking) server was Antonio from Venezuela who with an incredible South American flair made our party of 7 feel right at home. The food itself was divine, ranging from the fires to burgers. In particular we enjoyed the chicken lollies which was, as they say, goated with the sauce. Overall the ambiance was both exciting and nostalgic as the chicken soup brought me back to my bubbies BDH apartment just outside Tel Aviv. 10/10 evening - would certainly go again.
Smoked brisket was on the bland and dry side, thought it would be like BBQ brisket. Was also $50 for a lb but didnt look anywhere near a pound of meat.. Charged $16 for a vodka cranberry. Generally mediocre experience for way too much money. Plus we had to sit outside in mismatched chairs near a shoe store.
I came here for a team lunch one Thursday afternoon at around 12:30. The first thing that I noticed was that the menu items were pretty expensive, for no reason. A grilled chicken sammie with a side salad (not even fries) runs for $18. So I figured if Im gonna pay that much for a sandwich, I might as well try something new. Thats when I decided to go with the Impossible Burger. I heard that this burger tastes just like red meat but I wasnt sure what the ingredients were, and our waitress wasnt sure either. Still, I decided to get it anyway. They ask you how you want it cooked and I told them medium rare, which it was not. The burger itself didnt taste like anything special, but I feel like maybe they just didnt cook it right here. The bread was also a bit stale tasting. Id try the Impossible Burger again, but just not here. The saving grace was the chipotle mayo they had. I slathered it on every bite, which made the burger a lot better tasting.Definitely would not recommend this place. Im sure there are better Kosher restaurants out there for a better price point.
We LOVE this restaurant! We LOVE sajidh, he’s the BEST waiter!! All the waiters are amazing and nice, BUT SAJIDH IS THE GOAT!!!! Looking for a PERFECT WAITER? Look NO FURTHER! Stop looking! The food and service are both amazing!! Our food came SO quick! And it was so good!!! Muy bien!
This place is amazing. The Hawaiin Burger was incredible, every bite was just beyond in flavor and texture. The poutine fries are also out of this world, they dont taste like fake cheese at all. The vibes are popping, its really packed on a Sunday night but in a fun way. Make sure to be on time though, they dont let you take your reserved table until everyone from your party is present. Great place for a nice celebratory dinner.
Been looking foward to coming here and was not disappointed, as far as sides go this placed nailed it with pulled beef tacos both crispy and tasty, the poutine was incredible! Verry real tasting cheese and wonderful grilled veggies, but the name is mocha BURGER so let’s talk burgers, I myself got the fungi burger and let me say it was delicious along with the addition of lamb bacon every bite was an adventure of flavor and textureLooking foward to coming back
I’ve never felt so bad at a restaurant.I don’t even know what to think about this experience.I came to this place, and they made me wait for a table, and that’s alright. I sit, at the same time, a group sits beside us. They order, we order. But I remember the look they gave the server for attending us first.Servers bring their food; we wait. Then another group sits at the other site. They order, and later they get their burgers. And almost one hour later, they told us they didn’t have burgers anymore (after they brought burgers to a group that came later than us).It was such a bad feeling, and I didn’t have the energy to feud with the busboy because the server didn’t come herself.Thank God the other restaurants on our trip to NY gave us such a fantastic service that made it up for this bad experience.I don’t know if this was just a coincidence, but we were the only ones not part of a certain race. And I won’t make this about that and won’t mention what type of group this was since I don’t believe minorities define the rest of the people. But we were having a nice experience to be in such a rich a different cultural place, with their music, their people until that happens. I hope this was just an error and doesn’t happen to anyone, anymore.
I liked this place until I ordered food for 4 of us. I came to pick it up, it was not ready and they refused to make it when we came. The manager decided to close 40 min early and the staff told us they couldn’t do anything about it. I feel bad for the staff, they did their best but the manager ruined it for them. Great staff they tried to do their but the manager ruined it.
When you advertise that you have gluten free buns you should be knowledgeable about other gluten free items on your menu. especially when you happen to be out of stock of gluten free buns every time i’ve been here, other options are certainly expected. i shouldn’t have to settle for something that’s the restaurant is at fault for.
Food is amazing here! The burgers here are out of this world. However, I do not recommend the mocha burger (the burger which comes with all toppings available)I ordered this burger and then attempted to eat as much as I could and i unfortunately got really nauseous so I dont recommend that. Their other burgers are amazing though.
I generally dont leave reviews often, however now I felt compelled to do so. As someone who eats out frequently, I was immensely disappointed at the service and ambiance. Staff was not knowledgeable and unfriendly. Nobody to speak to, no manager on site. I was less than pleased with the food and will most likely not be back again and not recommend this place to my friends....
Not recommended for anyone on a diet! Everyone else, order a burger and you will get what looks more like a whole chopped steak. It taste like it as well. This is not a burger, but a BURGER!!!! To keep it healthy, I also ordered a side salad, which itself was a pretty good size. It may be a bit crowded, so I recommend reservations.
Nice outdoor situation, good food and quick service, with reasonable prices. It was a great place to get a good lunch that was not super expensive. It was a pretty cold day but the heaters they had outside made it possible to eat there, quite comfortably. I wouldve to go back and try some more dishes, and hopefully next time we would be able to eat indoors.
Very good food but service was absolutely horrible. Waiters ignored me and I had to go to them to get their attention. Dont go unless you want to wait at least 30 min for your food. Also the lighting is terrible and it was unbearably hot in the restaurant.I dont recommend it.
This is the second time I pre-ordered food to find out upon arrival that the food was never prepared. The first time I gave them the benefit of doubt. However, today they had accepted my order and I arrived half an hour after the scheduled pickup time. After waiting, I explained I’m in a rush they should cancel the order. The response was, I’m not the boss…
Sorry but this place its not Kosher at all, I asked the server about the license and she didn’t even know if they have it. I wanted to speak with the Rabb and in two hours I spend there, he was never there. Also, I was eating at the bar and I saw how they pack the food and how they touch it.Trash of service, trash of food, and FAKE KOSHER PLACE.
The burgers were amazing! Unfortunately after being seated I had the whole view of the kitchen were I notice one of the kitchen staff eating not only my fries but every single basket of fries from different clients. I saw him selecting the fries he wanted to eat, basically touching them before they were served. Paying 9$ for fries is fine, but he definitely ate a good amount from each basket.
One of my favorite date spots. Weekend nights can be crowded and a bit noisy, bit weeknights are fine. The food is decent, nothing to write home about, but the ambiance is what I really like. Its young and relaxed without trying to hard. The prices are reasonable and they have an interesting drink menu to choose from.
Highly recommend!! The food was excellent and the service and ambiance was great.Got the pulled beef tacos to start👍👍, the BLT burger was great and actually grilled correctly. We also got the chicken ceaser salad which was good but get something set because everything on the menu looks fantastic! Just keep note if its a busy night the tables are right next to each other and it can get pretty loud.
Don’t worry about the picture it’s just a mask for a game. I want to say that mocha burger is one the best place I ever been was very delicious everything fresh and it’s a lot better than Joseph burger cause they are not that fresh and buns breaking apart etc. when I ordered the Lamb Burger From mocha burger it was out of this world an fresh truly is the best I had if they can open one in Brooklyn it would be awesome and I would once in a while come by 😊 i recommend people should good there you’ll love it.
Its a good burger place.we were a group of 6, had a blast. enjoyed the food, the cocktails and the service. but when we came to pay, the added 22% gratuity. the problem was that, in the menu it says that groups of 6 and up get charged a 20% gratuity (which itself is overpriced in my opinion..), so i showed the waiter and she fixed it to 20%. the 2% wasnt a lot of money, but the practice of up-pricing without disclosure put a cloud on the whole experience.
We shared a pulled beef tacos which were great. Then each of us had a lamb burger with an egg, it was seasoned perfectly. The spicy fries were shared was spicy but great. It was a perfect meal after a whisky event. The service was good and fast. This is a perfect place to go
For the price I paid for the burger, it tasted and looked barely decent. This is after messing up mine and my friends order and shooing us away from the table area cuz god forbid we sit (all empty tables) without reservations-after we asked inside if we can sit and were told yes but he made up the answer and later said i work behind the counter, idk whats going on outsideEvery worker was just clueless and was not willing to even try to give good service. In addition to the sad looking burger there was a sad looking pickle on the side. After being excited to try their place for so long, i was very disappointed.
Tried to order a special berger with fries...Thy wont honor free fries if ordered directly through them and not seemles, Im only a block away from them and ready to pick up... but the service in NYC is not the same.Mocha Burger is totally gone from the options of food orders in Soho.
The place is a little small, so I wouldnt go with a big group and immediately expect a table, but the food is so good! I love their burgers and their steaks are delicious! I would definitely go again. Also, I was there when an obnoxious couple was treating the staff/waiters horribly but they still gave such good service to all the tables! Great staff.
Ordered burger and steak, both were so delicious! Sizes are big but not enormous. We came around 6pm and had no wait at all. Stuff was nice and helpful. The music was a little loud for conversation.Didnt knew it was a kosher restaurant, but were very happy with the experience.
Nice dim lit burger joint in the middle of soho. Tight and cozy , classic city style seating. Food is great. Atmosphere is a little louder than average, with tv screens around. Hip and young this place is a lot of fun. Well managed and attentive service. The fruit drinks are definitely well worth it and interesting. Got this blueberry ginger mix which really tasty great. I like this place a lot.
Excellent Burgers. Groups of 6 or more are charged a 20% gratuity. Went with a large group and we shared appetizers including buffalo wings, nachos with guacamole and chili and pulled beef tacos. All were very good. The craft-style burgers were what you would expect. The quality of the beef, however, was outstanding. Expensive but high quality fare.
The house burger came well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Staff was friendly. Only drawback is that it was 90 degrees outside and about 110 inside. The waitress did being out an extra order of fried at night charge. Which were amazing. My coworkers had the grilled chicken wrap and continued to rave about it all afternoon. Definitely check this place out. AND its Kosher!!
Our experience at Mocha Burger was absolutely riveting. From the amazing staff, food, and ambiance our experience here was spectacular. We each bought a scrumptious burger and delicious desserts. the prices were also very reasonable. I truly recommend this restaurant.
Attempted to order from this restaurant twice now. First time they were unresponsive to an order during a snow storm. Bad customer experience since they just didn’t respond to the order and I had to confirm that they weren’t delivering myself w a phone call. Attempted to order again tonight via Seamless. After the order was confirmed, they proceeded to decide not to deliver. Had to go through Seamless customer service to even get a response from the restaurant 90 minutes after I had placed the order. I highly recommend skipping this clearly confused establishment.
Burgers fantastic, let down by the rest. This place had a great vibe and is always bustling. There are usually several birthdays each evening, celebrated by a firework candle and singing waiters. The starters were just ok. The sliders were advertised as containing lettuce, tomato and pickle. There was one thin slice of pickle off the stalk end between 2 burgers, one slice lettuce and one of tomato in each one, plus lots of onion. It would of been helpful of theyd advertised the onion - then i would have ordered mine without. The actual burger and bun were wonderful, but would of liked the pickle. The desserts were sickly sweet - the salted caramel had no salt, just an excess of sugary caramel. Only one bathroom stall for the entire restaurant.
Came here for dinner with a date and I was not at all let down. The atmosphere here is actually more upscale than I was expecting. Service was quick and the waiter was helpful. Restaurant was clean and had nice music playing in the background. The food here was amazing. Got some buffalo wings as a starter which were made in an excellent sauce, and we ordered two burgers, one lamb and one smoked. Both were excellently prepared and had a nice presentation, but the lamb burger was incredible and the buns used for the burgers really helped push the quality over the top. We had a side of cajun fries which were properly cooked and had a good crunch without being burnt. Its probably more pricey than your typical burger joint, all that came to about 50$ plus a tip, but not bad for a nice dinner for two and we were both more than satisfied with the experience.
We showed up and were seated promptly the staff is extremely professional and helpful. While the meals were on the smaller side especially considering their prices the food was excellent. The food came out promptly and there was no waiting time. Extremely good service. Highly recommended
Great atmosphere and good food. Its nice to have a kosher restaurant that offers a fun cocktail menu, with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Try the frozen mint lemonade, its delicious and refreshing. Perfect with a burger or a steak. The wait staff was very solicitous and offered knowledgeable advice regarding our menu choices.
The vibe and location are awesome. Definitely worth visiting. The burgers looked good. We got ribs that were pretty dry. The salad and fries were lacking a gourmet touch. The dessert was disappointing. Still giving it four stars because the overall experience was a good one. I would go back and order a burger and nothing else!
The food is delicious and generous, and the service is above and beyond. We came on a super busy Sunday night, and there was a mixup about our reservation-Ricardo, the maitre d’ literally moved mountains to make space for us.Ricardo and his staff went above and beyond on a super busy night when he could’ve just let it go. That, and literally the best chicken wrap I’ve ever had, and lots of other fantastic food, gets five stars, and I’d definitely come back (this was also a return trip.)

2022-06-03The service was nice, place looks alright, has awkward smell inside and some (AC?) water drips from the ceiling..? The food - looks nice, but not tasty for most of us; meat doesn’t taste fresh, bun is a little dry, lettuce is a little tired… fries are mediocre… 🤷♀️ meh.

2021-12-05The Animal fries and so delicious! I got the burger and loved it. My friend go the boneless chicken wings. It is expensive but the portions are really generous. Id be floored if anyone ever leaves hunger. Really cool vibe and atmosphere.

2022-06-09This restaurant has good customer service. It offers outdoor seating for more space. For indoors, the lights are nicely dim and have candles placed per table. The food is served fresh and is delicious to every bite. They also have a bar menu which complements exquisitely with the burgers or steaks. It can get very busy at weekends, causing no space for people to walk through the aisle as the waiters are constantly passing by. However, the food here is outstanding and its worth coming back for more. I recommend to come here with friends, family or a date.

2022-03-06Antonio… all thanks to this wonderful server…I am writing my review not only about this wonderful place, the food is so delicious, but the service , (especially Antonio) is simply beyond words. I would like to thank Antonio for his work and very reverent attitude to our table! very attentive, polite, and he is a generally darling! I have never been treated with such respect in my life! I will definitely be back, but only for amazing food and godly service from maestro Antonio. I am writing this review only now, because on the day when I was in the restaurant, I was so impressed by Antonio that I could not find words!

2022-03-03On Saturday 2/27 I went to eat with some friends. The place was nice and the food was excellent. A little crowded. But besides our waiter Jonathan gave us excellent service. He was kind and knowledgeable. Jonathan was very busy but very attentive. To all his customers. I will definitely come back again and request for Jonathan to serve us again
