Mochi Mochi Donut in other cities:
I hit up this spot before I left the city. This is one of 3 shops in the same space. The other two are corn dogs and bubble tea. I recommend all of them if youre into that. The donuts were not too sweet or oily and had some bite/chew to them which is refreshing as far as donuts go. I went very early on a Sunday but I can imagine its usually very packed at other times.
Ordered brown sugar bubble tea, which tasted good however the bubbles (tapioca) was really hard and not too saturated. Also disappointed that they ran out of cans but failed to inform us before we ordered. Donut wasn’t too fresh either. Better experience at the Montclair branch.
Really excited about this spot! You order outside and inside is a Korean hot dog stall, bubble teas, and mochi doughnuts. I got the mozzarella hotdog and the ube, cereal, and matcha doughnuts. Enjoyed them all and can’t wait to go back. Only feedback is that there isn’t really any place to sit, the outdoor seating says it’s only for the cafe next door so it made it a bit difficult to find a place to eat.
I really enjoyed the mochi donuts, it was eye opening. I like normal donuts but this was an ascended experience. Truly, donuts have revealed their final form.My friends and I went near closing hours and the lady was super nice and gave us an extra one for my friend who didn’t want to buy a donut (but certainly did want to eat it when we got back to the hotel). So we paid for three but got FOURDonuts are very innocuous and have a broad appeal. I don’t think anyone would dislike them. Thus, this would make a good date spot! I personally like black sesame. The counter itself is a little bit hidden inside the building- you’ll have to go in beyond the hot dog and bubble tea place. But it is well worth the visit!
The donuts are delicious but they were a tiny bit dry and less chewy than the ones in Japan. Also it not clear that there are 3 businesses on site so in order to buy donuts you have to go all the way to the back and order from a kiosk. So as a result I stood on the drink line for a while until the person at the counter told me to go all the way to the back. Also for some reason the hot dog kiosk is outside. They are trying to be streamlined but they ended up making everything a mess, nothing makes sense.
If you want to order donuts or Boba, dont wait in line outside! The Kiosk outside is only for hotdogs. There are multiple businesses here, but Mochi Mochi doesnt tell you that youre supposed to order from a separate kiosk all the way at the back of the building... I waited 20 minutes outside just find out that I had to go inside, and then find out that the mochis were all sold out anyway. Please value your cutsomers time by putting a sign outside telling them they have to order inside. A great spot to put it would be directly under the outside kiosk. That way people cant miss it
Great mochi donuts! Texture was good and I like the variety in flavors. Most other places Ive tried only has three flavors per day. We got a half dozen in different flavors: dalgona, passion fruit, matcha, chocolate, soy bean powder and milk tea. I highly recommend the passion fruit flavor because it had multiple dimensions. In comparison, while the dalgona tasted as it should, it just tasted like sugar. Similarly, the milk tea tasted like boba and not milk tea. I really enjoyed the soy bean powder one as well.I do not recommend using the Yelp map as a guide to find the entrance. The pin shows the shop is on 33rd but the entrance in is on 32nd. Go all the way to the end of the food hall. Theres multiple shops that share the same place.
Incredibly delicious, beautiful, perfect, fluffy chewy donuts! These treats were a HUGE hit at my niece’s 5th birthday. They even decorated the box and added a gift with the order. An exceptional shop with truly magnificent treats. They’re our (and many friends’) go-to for celebrations and bringing/sending treats with a wow factor. Also for just randomly stuffing our faces tbh. Faves are churro sugar and fruity pebbles. Coconut and dark chocolate are also awesome. But all are delicious.

2022-03-07Tried several varieties, they are light fluffy and really good. All the flavors though are very subtle since these are not stuffed donuts. They feel like a healthier tasty version of donuts.

2021-12-27We love mochi donuts so this was an obvious choice when we were getting a Korean Hotdog and it was in the same building. They had so many good flavors we wanted to try that we had trouble narrowing it down. We ended up getting Ube, Black Sesame, Milk Tea, and Passion Fruit. They were all really good, by my favorites were Milk Tea and Passion Fruit. Theyre also flavors I havent seen at other mochi donut places yet.Id absolutely come back for more mochi donuts!

2022-01-15Must visit when in NY Times Square area. Try their unique corn dogs and mochi donuts. Who would figure sweet potatoes goes so well with corn dog, and mozzarella on a stick deepfried like a corn dog would be so satisfying. Mochi donut are so fluffy and delicate. 😋

2022-06-09Donuts were delicious and I was so surprised that they had my favorite fruit flavor: passion fruit! The passion fruit flavor was truly on point ❤️ Will definitely go back.

2021-11-14I’m not a sweets-guy, but I ended up finishing 3 Mochi Mochi donuts in one sitting.Light, chewy, and not too sweet. Very good if you’re looking for a dessert that isn’t too rich.

2022-09-14Gluten free dessert options and fast paced environment order-only in busy Ktown. Order by kiosk and stand in line. Mask up because it is *very* close quarters! Excellent flavors and mochi soft texture donuts at a steep NYC price. Winning choices are Ube and black sesame and big favorites ordered everytime. Designs on donuts can get jostled around in packaging but service is kind and swift given the possible wait of 5-10 minutes.

2022-03-15I will always regret the day I tried a donut from this place for the 1st time. These things are addictively delicious.Think about a donut shaped churro with multiple flavor options with a very neat presentation.Only downside is how crazy the lines get and how disorganized the whole place is, but cannot take any stars away because of the quality of the donuts.A must try if you’re ever in K-town!I really cannot say with words how good these donuts are.

2022-06-22Who knew that putting mochi inside a donut would be so delicious!? If youre visiting K town definitely stop by for a sweet treat. I went later in the day and they were out of most flavors so I tried the soy (which was still yummy! I liked that it wasnt overly sweet). Be an early bird to get the good stuff :) Also pretty cheap snack which my sticker-shocked wallet was happy about. And in case this helps since I was confused, just know that Mochi Mochi is not Machi Machi, which is the bubble tea place in the same building. Just keep going further inside, past the hotdog(?) joint before you get to the donuts.

2022-02-22Delicious! Donut has a great mochi bounce to it. Slightly more oily than a regular donut and has a nice amount of sweetness.Don’t be intimidated by the line you see outside. That is for another part of the store. Head to the back kiosk, choose the amount of donuts you want and pay. Then someone from the counter will call your number and you can choose your flavors!

2022-05-16Yummy doughnuts, beautifully crafted. But, a bit overpriced. Can buy squid game Dalgonas here..Update: These are the best donuts Ive ever eaten. Granted they are different but better than your Dunkin, Krispy Kreme, Winchells... Most of those just end up tasting like surgary dough., These actually have to flavor. You like donuts? You gotta try these!
