Mochinut in other cities:
Super friendly staff. I came in around 10 pm and ordered a hot dog and a donut. The guy in the front gave me a donut for free and then the guy in the back gave me a bubble tea for free. My lucky day. Also the hot dog is huge, for $3.99. Such a refreshing feeling to get so much food for under $10. These people are really down to earth, I want to support them and I hope their business thrive.
They donuts are delicious but greasier than others Ive had...not sure if thats on purpose to keep them moist for longer peiods or a drainage issue. Ive liked all the boba drinks Ive had here. The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes theyre really nice and then sometimes theres a lady there who seems like shes in a perpetually bad mood.
TLDR: Friendly staff, good donuts, shouldve bought more.Had to make a review just because of the super friendly and helpful staff. And of course the donuts were awesome. It seems like they have different flavors each day so there were some flavors I wanted to try but they werent available.I did get to try the black sesame, churro, mango, oreo, and green tea. All of them were good. My personal favorites were the sesame and churro. Employee recommended sesame because its not too sweet and he was right. Sesame had a strong enough black sesame flavor. Churro tasted like a churro (as it should). I think the most surprising was probably the mango. I got it just to try and even though its not the strongest mango flavor, its still fruity. Quite enjoyable.Im usually not a fan of mochi donuts because at least for the places Ive been to, the donuts were dense and a bit too chewy. Maybe some people are fans of that but Im not particularly looking for an intense jaw workout. Decided to try Mochinut to see if Mochinut was different. Mochinuts donuts were a lot softer but still had a small bit of chew to it, which I personally like. My donuts survived a nearly 5-hour car ride back home and were still good and soft the next day.I only got a half dozen but I shouldve gotten more lol...
Stopped by to grab something to drink and came across this cute spot. They had mochi donuts with amazing Asian flavors ranging from Ube to milk tea to viet coffee! Too bad I was too full to eat more so I just got their milk tea boba. I was expecting it to be really sweet since I wasn’t able to adjust the sweetness level, but I was surprised and it was perfect with the soft chewy boba. Also the bottle that the milk tea was in was cute and had a aluminum can top, which is different than anything I’ve had before. Will return one day to try those mochi donuts though!
It was 5 min to closing so they were out of a couple flavors I was excited to try which is UNDERSTANDABLE. I had the taro donut, delicious. And the ube bubble tea, AMAZING! I was literally going to go back the next morning but they didn’t open early enough, had to catch my train. This is a must-go next time I’m back in the city! Friendly staff and clean store, too!
We went to get a dozen donuts, hotdogs, and some drinks for a family gathering. We were excited to try all the different donuts they had on their menu but when we went they only had 8 available. The donuts they did have were all delicious and very soft. The toppings were very fresh and you can tell theyre made on that day. The hotdogs take time to make so its recommended to place the order in advance if you dont want to wait. As for the drinks, we were hoping to get the drinks in the cute containers that we saw on their website and reviews. But they gave us the drinks in regular plastic lid containers that you get at delis. The service was very good as they offer a promotion of 1 free donut for every 6 ordered. They also have us a complimentary half drink since the flavor we wanted wasnt available. Overall it was a pleasant experience and would recommend if youre in the mood for some mochi donuts.
My friends got the original koren corn dogs & it lowkey looked a bit raw inside but still tasted good. I got the brown sugar boba & it did not come in the packaging on the picture, the first couple sips were definitely questionable but then it tasted better as I began to drink more. Lastly the donuts were pretty good it’s like “hard” on the outside and soft on the inside. My favorite donut was the Oreo one & my mom’s favorite was the churro. The Choco pebble and the Nutella were also good tho. Note: THEY ONLY HAVE CERTAIN FLAVORS OUT! NOT ALL THE FLAVORS THAT ARE IN THE PICTURE WILL BE FOR SALE AT THAT TIME/FOR THAT DAY!
The donuts were very chewy, which is my favorite type of donuts at all times. Compared to American donuts, these ones are less soggy, more chewy and less sweet. The different frostings/glazing/toppings added more interesting varieties and flavors. For me as an Asian, I guess this kind of Asian-style donuts are more desirable to me.
This was not what I expected. The flavors were fine, but the dough was really oily and I thought there would be filling in the balls of the donut but there wasn’t. The boba tea was good and the staff was nice, but they got our order completely wrong even though we were the only ones there. I’m glad I went so I know that I don’t need to go again…

2022-05-22It was different and tasty. Although I thought the black sesame donut I got could have more black sesame flavor, it was more sugary and cloying then flavorful. Also, the 2 people behind the register touched their faces a lot with their gloves on and masks partially on. 😬 It worried me!

2022-05-26One of my favorite mochi donut bakeries in NJ/NY! This location also sells other Korean pastries and Korean corn dogs! I love the brown sugar boba I got, it came with a cute can! The donuts are sweet and chewy its unlike any other American donuts! 10/10 would recommend!

2022-01-20I was so excited to try out this place because the drinks look so good, not to mention the plethora of good reviews. I am sad to say that I was pretty disappointed. All the bubble tea drinks tasted watered down and the same (taro vs brown sugar, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if my eyes were closed). The drinks looked pretty and aesthetically pleasing 🤷🏽♀️

2022-03-28Sesame, Oreo and dark chocolate we’re my favorite! Irresistible I must say! They might be a little pricey for me but couldn’t compare the quality they got on their amazing Mochi donuts to other stores who sells it- theirs is definitely the best and worth the price!

2022-04-13Not a fan of mochis. But my partner loved the strawberry flavor. I got the Thai tea. Asked for no bubbles but got it anyway—wasn’t a big nuisance since the tapioca was quite soft and added a nice sweetness to the drink.

2021-11-09Giving this place 5 stars because the Hot Cheeto hotdog was AMAZING!!! I ordered the half cheese and half hotdog one and it was just SMOTHERED in Hot Cheeto dust. My sister had the original and she was jealous that she didn’t order what we had. I was a happy customer that day. I went to another Korean hot dog place in the city that sold Hot Cheeto dogs on their menus, but was devastated that it had a “sprinkle” of it. Didn’t come out what it looked like in their pictures. So if you’re a Hot Cheeto lover, definitely try out their Korean hotdogs here. You can’t leave without a donut of course. We tried the Nutella, Oreo and Vietnamese Coffee one. All of them were good. My favorite was the Oreo. I loved the coffee one as well. Strong coffee taste and it had a whole biscoff cookie on top.I didn’t want to comment on this, but I wasn’t a big fan of the drinks. Except for the Brown Sugar Boba which was really good. There are other Boba shops around the area that you can try out if you want something to drink.

2022-03-10The mochi donuts here are delicious. Not too greasy, not too sweet. Ordered a black sesame, a matcha, and a plain donut. The light glaze on the black sesame was awesome and easily the best. Original was a good base to start with and the matcha is definitely for the green tea lovers. Cant wait to come back to not only get more donuts, but also try their Korean corn dogs as well.

2022-01-15We got a potato corn dog w/ half cheese half sausage as well as the injeolmi mochi donut. The mochi donut was amazing! As someone who has tried various mochi donut places in the U.S. and used to regularly go to the OG Mr. Donut in Japan, I was quite impressed by the chewy texture of the donut that most mochi donuts in the U.S. fail to master. The injeolmi flavor was a nice, light flavor--kind of tastes like a glazed donut. As for the corn dog, there are mixed reviews. (This account is run by a couple)I (girlfriend) personally wasnt a huge fan of the potato dog. First, they somehow flipped the cheese and sausage ordering and put the sausage on top, which resulted in no satisfying cheese pull on the first bite (in fact, there was no cheese pull at all because the cheese melted and ended up thinly lining the inside of the corn dog resulting in a cave under the sausage). The corn dog also lacked flavoring. Additionally, we were the only customers and they took a very long time making our one corn dog.My boyfriend thought the corn dog was good though...TL;DR, come for mochi donuts but go elsewhere for corn dogs (like two hands)!
