Ive been coming to Mohans for years. I was more than impressed with my first experience. They ensured my fit was perfect and insisted on tailoring my fit (even though I was satisfied) until the fit was even more perfect. They get a A+ for service. In addition their quality is also A+. I highly recommend Mohans.

All I can say is Above and Beyondwe where looking for a last minute suit and it was time sensitive matter. after going to several places and unable to find anything my girlfriend searched suit shops near by. Thats when we discovered Mohans by accident. the only work costume suits but they were very welcoming and friendly and said that they would work with us. the recommended that I get a suit at a nearby suit place and would tailor it. this was with less then 1hr before closing. so we rushed to get the suit. when we returned they gave us the 5 star treatment. suit was ready within the week and no joke the best suit I have in my wardrobe. it feels like it was made for me
A very nice family run NYC business. I lost forty pounds and had to have my suits taken in. They did an excellent job, suits are like new and fit perfectly. I can’t wait to have a new suit made there.
One of the nicest people Ive ever met. I called in to see if I can just come in to get measured for a suite and shirt. Not only did i expect to pay but I also expected them to say as I was planning to get a suite someplace else. Mr. Mohan told me I can come and it would be a problem. He measured me and refused to take 100 buck I was going to throw in just to make his time worth it. WOW! where do you ever find someone like that! I didnt buy anything this time but i am coming back first for shirts then for suites. definitely an honest and sweet person and deserves the business!!! btw, he was a huge inventory of fabrics that are very well prices too.

What an amazing experience! From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out Mohans treats you as royalty. Extremely knowledgeable, huge fabric selection with great quality. We originally went in for a suit and a couple of shirts but the prices were so good that we ended up getting two Bespoke Suits, 4 Custom Shirts and a Jacket and Pants for our budget. I highly recommend them for any occasion. We will most certainly be using them for all our needs moving forward.
I decided to check out Mohans after seeing positive reviews of their custom-tailored suits and jackets. I brought my topcoat in to have the sides taken in and was blown away by the quality & speed of service! Victor and Mr Mohan himself provided excellent fitting advice-- its clear these guys know what theyre talking about. In addition, I asked to have the coat ready by next week but it was finished by Friday! The craftsmanship is extremely high-quality-- I cant detect a single loose thread or imperfection. I was eyeing their holiday sales on custom suit options and I could see myself getting measured for that someday. Mohans is an excellent option for those looking for true bespoke tailoring, hand-selected fabrics, and onsite measuring within a reasonable budget. Im happy with my coat and will be exploring their suiting options next!

I have had a wonderful experience with this team as has my son the attention is prompt and courteous the tailoring is first rate. I have had suits made in London on Savile row and these are of the same quality. As an example there was a small length problem on one leg and they fixed it within a day and are delightful to work with the broad range of fabric I highly recommend them

Ive had several suits from Mohans now, and have been very pleased with all of them. Im in their lower-end fabrics and constructions but theyre obviously better built, better fitting and better looking than anything Ive found on racks and tailored afterwards. Nice, professional people who have been doing this a long time. Recommended!
Went in for a custom shirt and was treated like the celebrities and sports heroes that hang on the walls of the shop. Personalized attention, incredible selection and the most important part; the shirt fit perfectly. Best shirt Ive ever owned in my life, well worth every penny. Perfect for my upcoming wedding. Im a repeat customer over several years, because its hard to find another quality tailor in NYC that is as reliable and reasonably priced as Mohans. Their pricing on packages of suits is competitive with off-the-rack, and obviously WAY better fit and quality. Friends and coworkers can tell my Mohans suits and shirts are custom tailored because they truly look like they fit my body. Ill be back again!

Low quality shirts; wrinkle very easily, plus the buttons on the sleeve on one of the shirts were on the wrong side. Sub-standard service. Had to get several shirts retailored twice.

This business is one of the Best men’s custom tailors in the business! I had an idea for a custom suit and Mr. Victor Mohan was personally involved in overseeing the development of the prototype and ultimate tailoring of the suit. Everyone, from the owner to the master tailor, was very professional and paid attention to every singular detail. When I tried the suit on in the final fitting, I was just astounded at the quality of the fabric and how well the suit looked on me. Ive been working with Mohans Custom Tailors for about eight years. Ive had custom suits, sport coats and shirts made that have held up terrifically. Equally, I receive regular compliments from peers and clients as to my attire. The knowledgeable staff has great taste and will recommend patterns and colors that may be out of your comfort level but never fail to look great and impress. I am 100% a customer and not an insider. I first encountered Mohans when I lost some weight and needed to get a few of my pants tailored. This was my test run. Their overwhelmingly positive reviews piqued my interest. They were thorough and the pants were tailored to perfection!About six months later I needed to get new suits as none of my old suits fit me, and I was also ready to level-up my style. Mohans worked around my schedule and even accommodated me to come in on Sunday when they are normally closed, as I had very little availability. The gentleman that measured me took tons of extra measurements that are not standard and took pictures and notes based on the particular measurements that made my size/fit unique. Along the way he shared some good stories of his decades of experience from India, to Hong Kong, and New York City. He was transparent about pricing and what to expect on timing. Where I was unsure of particular styling decisions, he helped recommend what is popular but also what might look good on me.A few weeks later my suits came in. Now we had already worked out a deal for 3 suits for the price of 2. They were originally over my price range but with the deal I could at least justify this, especially given their success and track record with celebrities all looking great.Holy smokes. Once I tried the suits on I immediately understood the hype, the extra attention to detail, and the higher price tag. These suits fit me to perfection and have a timeless fashion. I need to get a job in finance and find new friends to go to their weddings because damn, these suits are incredible. I want to wear them all the time. Ill only shop with Mohans from now on and cant recommend them highly enough. The only exception is if you want just some simple suit at a ridiculous bargain, but Im sure theyd happily work with lower budgets, too.Cant recommend these guys highly enough!! Thank you Mohans!

First time went in to get custom made dress shirts. I could not find a perfect dress shirts in dept stores. My neck was always a problem. Once I discover Mohan’s, I went in for an experience. Mr. Mohan ( Senior) was a gentleman who gave me his opinion and literally treated me as a son. They took my measurements and a picture to best fit me. Once I got my custom made shirts, I’m beyond satisfied. It fits perfectly!!! They are a family owned business and they do not settle less than perfection. I visited Mohans for the first time in late December 2019 and ordered a black suit, with a really nice purple lining, and a ticket pocket. (gotta have one of those if youre going custom!) Little did we all know the world would shut down just a couple months later because of the pandemic. They let me know the order would be delayed, which wasnt a problem, because the wedding I needed it for was postponed. Eventually, the suit came in, but the ticket pocket was missing! Mr. Mohan apologized, sent it back to China, and within a couple weeks, I was back to pick up my suit. Fit like a glove. You are in great hands with Mohans. These guys know what they are doing and they are humble. Its a very comfortable environment, they take their time with you. And you may even run into a pro-athlete while youre there. I did, some NFL player. Ill be back for sure.

I have had my suits and shirts made by Mohan’s for about 30 years starting out with the first suit I owned when I started on Wall Street. I’ve always had a great experience with Mike and the rest of the crew. They have always been helpful, responsive, accommodating and thoughtful when making recommendations. The suits have never lost their shape, come apart or worn out. I’ve even had some suits and shirts for over 10 years and they still look great. I have never worn through the elbows of the shirts. The quality of the fabrics and clothes is much higher than any other custom clothes I have had made. Highly recommend Mohan’s.
I purchased a tuxedo for my wedding from Mohan’s last month. They were extremely responsive in scheduling an appointment for my initial measurements and then following up with a second fitting. Today is my second time ordering from Mohans. My first experience was amazing. The suits came as promised and fit like a glove. The tailor, Kenny was extremely diligent and took what felt like a couple of dozen measurements to ensure a great fit. When the suits arrived he was equally attentive in ensuring the final product fit me perfectly and performed the final alterations quickly. From order to final alterations I had three outstanding suits and 6 high quality shirts in 5 weeks.I am excited to receive my next order of summer suits and shirts. My overall opinion is you cant get a better value in haberdashery then at Mohans. The quality, price and most importantly ongoing client care(free alterations for a year and if there are any problems theyll fix them on site) youll come to expect is unparalleled.
Mohans has come through for me time and time again. I have used them for my shirts and suits for years now, creating a full time wardrobe that is both comfortable and well fitting, but also fitting virtually every need. I recently went to them with a special request as a groomsmen in a wedding and needed them to color match my suit with ones being made by my wedding party mates on the west coast with just a swatch of fabric. They spent over a half hour with me going through more books of fabric than i could count until we found the perfect one. The suit ended up fitting great and it looked exactly like the others. They get the job done and keep working until its just how you want it, cant ask for much more.
Mohans is great. Did exactly what I wanted with a suit that I needed tailored for a wedding. Served me a drink while I was waiting on their service (which was fast) and had my suit ready in short time. Definitely recommend if you want something properly tailored!
I have been going to Mohan’s for 20 years. Victor Mohan and K.J. are the best guys in the business. I will never go to another suit or shirt maker, and early in my career I did my research. They are excellent. Most importantly, they are honest and fair. They never “sell” you items that you don’t need. They have the best quality in the city with an excellent selection of the finest fabrics in the world. They have price points for everyone. Their tailoring is precise and they honor all of their work every time. The clothes always look great. I enjoy going to their shop in midtown - they treat you like family.
I have purchase over thirty suits and three tuxedoes over the last twenty years. The experience has been excellent and the suits are immaculate. I continue to make purchases, despite no longer living in the NYC area, as the service cannot be matched by other firms.
Over 27 years ago, one of my fellow bankers recommended that I try Mohans since off-the-rack suits always required major alterations to fit me. My first order for four suits fit perfectly and I have not bought a suit, sport coat, tuxedo or overcoat from anyone else since 1987. Their custom shirts are also beautifully tailored. Mike Ramchandani and his staff have always provided great service. Make friend - lose money!
A few years ago, I bought two beautiful suits and a half-dozen custom shirts at Mohan’s, and they all fit great. So when I got engaged, I knew Mohan’s was the only place I could go to get a tux for my wedding. They were so professional through every fitting, and my tux is one I’ll wear for a long, long time. I am fond of wearing clothing custom made by selection of heavy fabrics. Mohan himself took my measurements. He spent considerable time in understanding my choice, color and quality of clothing. He made several suits, pants and shirts. Wearing those custom tailored suites made by Mohans was satisfactory to me and fitted in my style and suited to my personality as a lawyer. His showroom at midtown Manhattan is impressive and service was very satisfactory.

This is my second visit to Mohans for suits. Ive tried the alternatives such as Suit Supply and Bonobos, but the quality and fit from Mohans is far superior, not to mention the attention to detail. Additionally, the cost is not all that much different. While most shops try to whisk you out of their store with your purchase as soon as they can, Mohans really cares that you are happy with their product and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Definitely worth visiting and trying them out.
I have gone to many different custom suit shops and i can confidently say that Mohans is the best!!! They have the best selection and service and make an effort every time to fit all my needs. I have no complaints and plan to use Mohans for all my suits.
Mohan and his staff always provide impeccable service and deliver beautiful custom suits. They can get you whatever you desire. Not only do I get my suits but I also build all my pants and shirts custom. It is much better than any of the brands at the high end department stores. I have been coming to Mohans for over 15 years for suits and shirts. I am 64 and weigh 215 lbs and have never been satisfied with fit of off the rack suits even after extensive alterations. Ive found everyone at Mohans to be friendly and of the utmost competence, Their location and hours are convenient and they provide truly personal service.They have a huge selection of fabrics (including Zegna and Loro Piana.) Wearing a suit that fits great gives me that little bit of extra confidence when I have an important meeting or have to give a presentation. I highly recommend Mohans.

This place deserves ten stars!!! Yesterday was the third time my husband and I have visited Mohans for suits and shirts. An hour after closing Sam was his usual patient, happy self and after much deliberating from my husband we always go with Sams excellent advise on cloths and colour. He has a real talent. We havent been served by anyone else so I can only comment on Sam and I dont hesitate to highly recommend him. We have introduced our Australian friends to Mohans and they are more than happy to deliver shirts, suits to Australia. Been to many tailors in NYC and Boston, Mohans is by far the best. Made a cashmere overcoat for me 3 years ago and have been going back ever since. I frequently get compliments on all the suits and overcoats they have made. They always use top quality material and best craftsmanship.

Mohan, Sam and KJ are amazing! I needed to get a suit made for my wedding reception and found something online. I needed a specific color and the suit itself was $1200 at Bloomingdales. Thought to myself, why pay that much for something when I can probably get a custom suit for myself for the same price if not cheaper. Was referred to Mohan by a coworker of mine and man they were fantastic. They had the exact same shade of blue I needed. Fitting on a 3 piece suit was done to perfection. I had a fantastic experience in my visit to Mohans showroom in Manhattan. KJ and his colleague Mike were awesome! My friend wanted me to send him my suit measurements to make a suit for me as one of his grooms men. I walked in, and KJ quickly arranged for Mike to carefully take my measurement in line with the specifications provided by my friends tailor. To my greatest surprise, I was not charged anything. I was expecting to pay at least $20 to $40 for the measurements because it as really rigorous. They were very polite, and their showroom is beautiful with lots of sample materials for suits. I will go back there very soon to order a couple of work suits for myself. Thank you KJ and Co., for your kindness. I will see you again soon.

Take a look around the walls and notice the athlete clientele-- Patrick Ewing stands out.Came here last minute for alterations to summer slacks and a seersucker sport jacket, which had been botched when I first purchased two years ago. I had been a loyal customer of the made-to-measure suit department of a large well-established clothing merchant ( founded in 1818, Despite significant spending on suits, the jacket and trousers fit me ok but not well enough. The limited alterations that were available represented an improvement in the fit. The reason is that my body measurements do not comport with that of the ideal dimensions.A friend recommended that I visit Mohans Tailors on E. 42d Street. I have since purchases 3 bespoke suits, 3 overcoats 8 shirts and 1 pair of trousers. The choice and quality of the fabrics, the meticulous tailoring and attention to detail and the level of customer service was impressive. When I got engaged, I knew that I wanted to pay homage to his memory by wearing a white dinner jacket to my wedding.Mohan’s Custom Tailors made that dream into a reality. As a 6’6” tall slim man, I typically have trouble finding clothes that fit me well. Mohan is well-versed in fitting clothes for tall people, so I had confidence that he was the right person to go to. He took painstaking care in ensuring every inch fit me perfectly. The suit I received exceeded all of my expectations.Everyone at Mohan’s is incredibly passionate about their craft. You can feel it from walking in and speaking with anyone. I am extremely happy with my experience here, and I would recommend Mohan to anyone that is looking for a fantastic suit.

2022-02-01Mohans is hands down the best place to get a custom suit. The service is top of the line. They treat you very well and take care of any questions or issues that you may have. The amount of fabrics that you can choose from is impressive and there are so many different patterns for any suit that you could be looking for. Ive never looked better in a suit than the one that Victor had made for me. Their suits are made to last a lifetime and they are made in an extremely efficient manner. Mohans is the only place to get a custom suit and I will be returning soon!

For a a special occasion we went to a local tailor for clothes.From selecting the fabrics, taking measurements, the first fitting and final delivery I was treated with sincerity. I was given all the time to decide and feel comfortable with my choices.The craftmanship and quality of material are of the highest standards. More importantly is again the treatment I received from Mike and Victor. I was all smiles and laughing during my fittings.Everyone deserves to look and feel their best. Mohans Custom Tailors dress you with the finest garments.For over 20 years I have not had a proper fitting shirt. If the length of the sleeves are fine I cannot button the collar and wear a tie. For several years I have dreamed of ordering custom shirts. Despite the pandemic and no upcoming events I was determined to treat myself to 2 custom shirts for my birthday.I found Mohans Custom Tailors from a Google search and was in awe of the their clientele. From the NBA, UFC to every mayor for the past 4 decades. I expected a posh and aristocratic ambience, but the treatment I received was superior. Mohans Custom Tailors is a family business and that is how they make you feel. Mike and Victor treated me as if we have known each other for years.They provide finest quality garments with humble hearts. I look forward to visiting again.

2022-06-20Mohans suits were a perfect fit, but thats not all - the entire experience was fantastic. Mike and Victor were very helpful and took great care of me through the measuring, tailoring, and fitting process. Ive gone to other tailors and can tell you that you wont find this level of customer service, attention to detail, or quality of tailoring anywhere else! I will definitely be coming back.

2022-04-19What a phenomenal experience. I brought in a suit and linen jacket, both Paul Stewart, to be tailored and they were expertly altered. Knowledgeable and quick service and easy conversation about altering these to perfection. I’ve set up an appointment for 2 custom suits. Great opportunity, even better value. Convenient hours and location.

2021-11-07I just picked up my suits from Mohan’s, and I have to say this was the best experience I’ve had purchasing one. They were courteous, meticulous, and very kind. The environment was extremely friendly, and when I made my alteration request they were all too happy to oblige. I can’t say it enough that these guys are where I want to buy my bespoke suits. They want you to look good and feel good. I’m definitely a customer for life.

2022-05-10Brought an online made to measure suit here that unfortunately needed extensive retailoring. I had a professional, bespoke experience with quick turnaround, and the suit came out fitting like it was made bespoke in the first place. The prices on their custom garments were more reasonable than I expected - a bit more than online M2M but without the hassle of having to tweak everything - so I plan to return for more work garments.
