I have to change my review because of the billing Department. I’m a returning customer and already paid off one Truck. I came back as a returning customer and bought another truck through them. The billing department calls nonstop and will constantly threatening calls if you are late. They will call all your references too. You are not a valued customer. You will not be treated as one either. I will not be returning because of the billing departments threats and scare tactics. I am deeply disappointed in this company because the sales department works so hard. You really need to consider hiring new people in the billing department before losing more customers like me.
I bought a 2006 Dodge charger from these guys when I bought it there was nothing but headaches one thing after another went bad Week by week the team at Mohawk Honda fixed it made everything right and I recommend them to anybody they take care of their customers no matter what This car was a loss for them almost 9000 in parts they put in to my car. Thanks again Mohawk auto center will have my business from now on
I have prchased a vehicle from them last year and I can honestly give them 5 stars. They walked me threw the process of what I needed and also worked with me putting me in a vehicle . They are very patient and the car I prchased from them I never had no problems out of it but to only get an oil change. There was a time I was late with a payment I called them and tld them I was gonna be a cople of days late and they worked with me. I never had a problem with them calling my phone or making threats. I hated having to pay by the week bt when you dont have good credit and need a car you get what you can get. I would refer them if you are looking for a car and you have bad credit or not that much money to put dwn on a vehicle.I wold say go to Mohawk Auto Center.
I have been searching around for a month and not getting anywhere. I had a poor credit rating and mohawk auto gave me hope. I spoke with John about my options and he gave me everything that I needed. Thanks to him, i got a better car. They hooked it up. Clean, spells nice and runs great. John was very patient and polite. I am very happy. Great place.
Fell on hard times back in 2016 and needed a reliable vehicle with buy here pay here terms. Dealt with Jose. He was awesome. Very informative on how the program worked, payment options and vehicle selection based on my payment. I chose a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and had the vehicle checked out . It had a blend door issue with the heater and a few other issues that were taken care of within a few days, and were fixed properly. The vehicle is now paid off, and office staff is STILL helping me with a gps shutoff unit. I owe them nothing, and they are still helping me. You people hammering these guys is rediculous. They offer internal financing, which virtually nobody does anymore. They finance people such as myself that were either in a divorce, bankruptcy or just fell on hard times. They are sticking their neck out for you, when nobody else will. Do your due diligence and have the vehicle of your choice checked out by a reputable mechanic, they allowed me the opportunity to do so after my income was verified . These are high mileage trade ins and wholesale vehicles that will need some sort of maintenance! Youre not getting a brand new car that needs nothing. You are getting decent Transportation when nobody else would help you out. Be real.I purchased my vehicle with 90k on it, and now has 190k, and Ill Ive had to do is regular oil changes , tires and brakes. Because I had it checked out beforehand, and Mohawk Auto Center repaired EVERYTHING that I requested. So if you got a lemon, thats your bad. Dont blame the people that gave you a second chance when nobody else would. Im grateful they were there to help then, after the sale, and now after Im paid off! Most new car dealers dont offer service such as this. O spent 10 years of my life working in a service department of a multi-franchise dealership. The service and aftercare here was no comparison. Thanks again to all sales, service and accounting staff for helping me from beginning to end, and beyond. Keep up the good work!
I have never had a problem with this dealership. They have been more than professional. I bought a Jeep and had some problems that they fixed immediately. The mechanic Nick is absolutely amazing. He works with you and is extremely polite. I will definitely buy from here again. No bad reviews from me. You guys are great.
Great Customer Service. Everyone was nice, patient, and informative. Before going I read so many bad reviews and was skeptical but since the first time I called (spoke to John) I was treated respectfully and the Car buying process was simplified so much. Even when I went to choose a Car John was patient as he stood in the rain while I looked at each car until I felt good about my decision. What I loved most besides the Customer Service was that everything is done there. So if you have any problems you would bring the car right to their mechanical team and you will not have to wait for the dealership to get you into another mechanic while your warranty is running out. Which is something I had a bad experience with in the past at another dealership. I would definitely recommend Mohawk Auto Center to anyone.
From sales Person Jose to the service department they have been extremely accommodating with me. The only reason people are giving bad reviews is because they didnt make their payments. I have bad credit and a repo they were the only people that would give me a chance so if I have to pay a high interest rate or more for a car that is no ones fault but my own! Im grateful for them giving me a vehicle and I cant wait to pay it off and have it positively affect my credit score! Thank you Mohawk Auto Center!
I would give them no stars if I could. Purchased a car in 2013 and just counting down the days until the its paid off. Paying over $350 a month for a car that has had nothing but issues and it was not even running for about 5 months because I didnt have any more money to put into it. Dont buy from them, they dont care about selling you a lemon at way more than what a car is worth. and you will end up paying a mechanic every other month to fix just about everything under the hood!!!
THEY WILL NOT HOLD A CAR FOR YOU DESPITE THE INACCURATE AND UNRELIABLE REVIEW WRITTEN BELOW! It is absolutely disgusting that the sales persons who work at this place consider themselves to be honest and reliable. On 3 different occasion my finance and I were guaranteed a car and allowed to put a deposit down. The first 2 times Justin and James had agreed to hold the car for the week until Friday. Each time the car was already sold with both parties playing the blame game .The third time there was continued communication between both sales reps and myself and finance pertaining to a specific vehicle. My finance had gone to put a deposit down in the vehicle and was given the keys from Justin to look at it. While doing so, customers that Justin was also assisting saw my fiance get in the car and wanted it. They had said they wanted to buy it while my fiance said he was there putting a deposit down on it . Justin apologized and agreed to sell it to the customers that were there right under my fiance as he was in the car with the keys in hand and made a special trip to go there and put a deposit down with plans to buy it in less than a week! The sales team does not personally care, understandable considering society the way it is, about how they inconvenienced both of us and lost business from two people that were buying two cars. Unreliable and I will never go back to that place nor would I recommend it to a single person.
Justin Cossey, was an amazing sells rep helped me understand everything from the bill of sell to how my vehicle works. I even got to test drive my vehicle. Definitely one one of the best buy here pay here places I have been best experience. Prices are little pricey i have to say but overall best experience. I have been to a few just to see how they would treat me. One place in albany thank god i was able to get my money back and would never go there again WORST experience as far as having to wait for my vehicle made me realize i need to do my research and I did and i ended up here. ALWAYS make sure when your going somewhere they are explaining your bill of sell and the which my amazing sells rep did i learned things i never even heard of.Thank You, JUSTIN
I have been a customer for over 3 years. Not once was i ever treated poorly. The office crew is very professional and friendly. I cant say enough about Nick in service. He is outstanding. Very professional and friendly. I have recommended Mohawk Auto to a few people and too are happy with the service. I will definitely go back to purchase sgain.
This place is AWFUL. They fully exploit people in bad situations, the customer service is terrible, they constantly treat you like youre some delinquent. Im a 22 year old girl who supports herself, I dont have a lot of money to work with.. I usually end up not making enough to fully get by. I can rarely afford to pay all my bills, let alone get groceries or other essentials. But I needed a car to get to work. Ive paid weekly on my car since I bought it in May, (I have been maybe a week late a handful of times but who hasnt), and as a result they are nasty, downright mean people to have to work with. The sales department completely lied about the state of the vehicle I was purchasing, the billing department treats you like complete trash, the service department basically told me that it was my problem that I took the car somewhere else to have it serviced, (because god forbid I have someone I can trust look at it).My car has broken down a total of four times since I got it, aside from the outrageous weekly payments, Ive also put in an additional $1700 into fixing mechanical issues since I got it.. Im convinced they never fully checked it at all before selling it to me. For starters Ive replaced the power steering pump in it twice, as well as the steering rack. My mechanic found transmission fluid in the steering rack, that had obviously not been checked before I got the vehicle. The remote control starter they promised me has also never worked, which is less of an issue but still an annoyance, considering that is the summary of every interaction I have with them.. Promises, failure to follow through, attitude and condescension from employees, etc etc.Whats worse, is that my car is valued at $1000 - $2000 (if Im lucky), as quoted by several dealerships and my mechanic, but they sold it to me at a loan for just under $10,000 - of which Ive just gotten down under $8,000. So my loan is totally bottomed out, I cant even trade it in elsewhere in order to stop dealing with these awful people, or god forbid, have a reliable car for a change.Im completely stuck, again, this place is AWFUL. Dont do it to yourself.
I went to all of the car dealers saying they could get me financing for a car.When I arrived they were no help at all and we were treated like criminals.A friend convinced me to try the dealer in Schenectady Mohawk Auto and they were fantastic.They had so many cars it was hard to decide on which one to pick.They financed me with their in house credit company and I was off and driving the car of my dreams.Everyone there was friendly and courteous and treated me with respect.
Tony is an very good salesperson and the car I purchased there was fairly decent , only problem I had was that the converter was clogged almost within 1 month of purchase and engine light came on as well. This being the 3rd vehicle over years that I bought there, when I was contemplating a 4th, a pick up truck, through Tom, sales manager, I felt as though I was treated like it was the 1st vehicle, meaning that I did not receive any special deal having been a long time loyal customer, and they didnt seem to want to take the car I had as a trade in. It was made to seem like it wasnt worth anything, funny thing is I bought that car there as well. And when I did pay off yet the 3rd vehicle in full, with title, lien release in hand, they still reported a deficit which they had sent to my credit report and is still on my equifax report to this day. At this point I would not consider buying anything from them again. If you are in need of a vehicle and your credit isnt too good, I would recommend them to you, but as far as being a longtime customer, I am done there.
My sister got a car from there. paid it off then she got another car. the transmission went not even a year later, there service team were really helpful and really nice. but the WOMEN in that office are rude they don’t know how to talk to people and are flat out unprofessional!!!!!!
Mohawk auto is the Best I just got my car from them and it runs good no problems and when I got it they made sure it was clean and smelling so good. I love my car And Mr. John walked me threw everything I needed to know bout the car I was buying. Great costumer service.
If I could leave a 0 I would, Do yourself a favor do not ever buy for these crooks. I was in a bad place and needed help, I had to resort to these lowlifes. They rob you blind at the so called dealership, then their vehicles are garbage and need work and they refuse to do the work. So I gave the vehicle back and now they unlawfully take money from me every week. No paper work from them in advance nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, NO MATTER WHAT. Fuccillo was a great help.... The better business bureau is my next call. My lawyer has already been called and in contact.
Ive purchased two vehicles from Mohawk Auto Center and im on my to to purchase a third vehicle. Everyone has different experiences and honestly Ive found it easy to get cars through Mohawk than any other dealerships. Ive needed to pay them late at times and theyve worked with me. Listen people what you need to do is your research first, get a car fax, have a mechanic look your car over, and also get the extended warranty. Dont bash Mohawk because they were there when you needed them.
I have never been so angry in my life ! They had a car I was interested in but it sold so I withdrew my application formally in writing ! The following day they ran my credit report without my permission ! I have proof ! Horrible people scam artists and most of all they committed fraud! Using my ss number without my permission!
SLEEZBALL THIEVES. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Seriously youre better off taking what youve saved fro a deposit and buying a hoopdie. Sold me a car that cant even pass inspection and when I brought it up to be repaired under warranty I was told they couldnt diagnose the problem. It only wouldve taken one person to drive it to see the driver headlight and tailight were out, the sunroof didnt work, the speedometer gas gauge and RPM meter dont work, (which we find out on the way home from buying it while driving down the NYS thruway) it doesnt switch gears (automatic engine) when its supposed to, and doesnt always start. They also neglected to tell me about the security system which shuts off your engine if your weekly payment is even one day late. And to top it off it was infested with ants. The car I had test drove and first signed paperwork on they lost the title to and couldnt get a duplicate for weeks, so I ended up in a different car, same make and model, no third row seating, which I took because by that point I was desperate. I was told the sales rep would stay late to let me test drive and answer any questions. That didnt happen. No one returns my phone calls, and there doesnt seem to be a single competent employee. I live an hour away from the dealership and wasted $400 dollars on a rental car while Mohawk Auto Center was supposed to be repairing the lemon they sold me. They fixed a headlight, nothing else. I would have been better off taking my $1500 deposit and buying a hoopdie.
This place has absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. Mohawk Auto center turned my car off twice , within a month of each other by accident (making me extremely late for an interview) . I called and spoke with a lady named Monica. She first told me that it wasnt them who shut my car off, but that something was wrong with my car in an extremely rude manner. She ended up putting me on hold for five minutes ,and figured out that they actually did shut my car off . Monica was extremely rude, unapologetic (I missed my interview) and in fact hung up on me. I tried to call back seconds within her hanging up on me, but they said that she left for the day. I pay every week on time, so if Mohawk Auto center wants to keep good business , theyll do some re staffing and treat customers well. For missing my interview , they compensated me a week, which still isnt fair considering that lost a job because they unrightfully shut my car off. Im surprised that this place even has two stars considering the lack of professionalism.
Forget what they sell. overall I had a great experience with my salesman and they did me a favor when my engine blew ( which I still paid for either way ) but the pricing on these cars are ridiculous ! 3 4 thousand over priced for the year and mileage these cars have got! total rip off. wont be going back for anything here again!
This is the worst dealership in the tricity area. No one knows how to speak to customers on the phone. One person answered the phone by saying hello. Did not say the dealership name. Thought I was calling her home. Answered questions saying what, huh etc. Spoke to Christine who was nasty. If the owner allows these women to have the unprofessional attitudes they have, shame on the owners. Get new employees or train the ones who are there. I really want to give this business a zero. Get with people.
I got a vehicle from them and I chose this one because it only had 55000 miles on it well Im at 63000 now and its time for a vehicle inspection and it needs brakes and rotors all the way around therestan EVAP issue needs new tires and if I dont run the vehicle for a couple of day I need to jump start the damn thing. Stop it either needs a new battery or the alternater is shot too also the motor for the back wiper never worked. They sell these vehicles at outrageous prices and do the bare minimum of maintenance to move them off the lot so there would be customers are stuck fixing their vehicles just so they repo the vehicle when the customer cant make payments because they just spent $1200 getting the vehicle fixed. If I didnt have $7000 invested idI turn the thing back in, but I need the vehicle.
I wish I could give them 0 stars.The worst service ever, nothing but a horrible experience I wouldnt send my worst enemy here to get a car, the human garbage they have working in the payment office is a chore to deal with, they vastly overprice the vehicles, their service department is terrible, just an awful experience all around, I encourage anyone looking for a new vehicle to take their business elsewhere.
I would never suggest anybody to go here, everytime I try and make a payment the manager gives me attitude. Hangs up the phone on me. Tells me its not her problem. Or Ill make my payment and she refuses to give me the code to start my truck. They were great when purchasing the vehicle now that I have it they are the most rude and unprofessional company to go through.

2022-01-25Mohawk auto center saved me! Tony R. is an amazing salesman. He’s super helpful , super nice, and very informative. Tony helped me through my process of getting a car and even getting another when I totaled the first vehicle. The process is super easy and super fast Tony has a great team behind him and awesome cars for sale at great prices. Paying your car payment is super simple and fast, just make a quick call pay it and then you get a text after saying how much is left on your loan. If I ever have any problems I just call and they are more than happy to fix my vehicle for me. 10/10 great place. I

2021-12-01Mohawk Auto Center is always good with customers. I have been here since 2007 and still going strong for my car services...now my son is coming to get his Honda civic EX 2016. We love services here. Nick at service center is usually with great smile I would recommend for every one to come in...great place for cars and buy your car here.

2021-11-02DONT GO THERE!!! HAD THE WORSE EXPERIENCE AS A CUSTOMER!!!.. First off... They tell you one thing on the phone have you send in all your info and still make it hard for you to purchase a vehicle... They say they go by your job and dont check you credit.. Come to find out they wanted me to get a co-signer in order to get a vehicle... I make $600 a week and I couldnt qualify for a car... They say I have no credit!!!! Even tho I already know that... Thats not what their disclaimer says on their website!!! They were very rude on the phone with me as I tried to explain to them that they arent supposed to judge me by my credit... This was the reason why I chose them because they are suppose to go by your income and I made plenty to qualify. So I strongly suggest you not to do business with them. And oh yes.. After I proved them wrong the got mad and discredited my application!!!!

2020-12-01I needed a reliable vehicle because my car was basically done after 18 years. I filled out the pre approval application online and was approved! I was able to pick out something that I liked within budget. The whole experience was totally encouraging and I drove away in a nice SUV! Thank you Mr.Tony and all your staff which were so exceptional towards me! I recommend Mohawk Auto Center to all needing a car and maybe a new start.

2021-03-17Just bought a 2011 BMW from here. Excellent condition and the process was fast and easy. The two people I dealt with during the process were extremely nice and helpful as well. Great place to get a car from and their vehicles are reasonably priced and not to costly.

2021-10-04These people are the worst people ever. Very malicious. They don’t care about you just your money. I bought a car and all service lights were on. I put in more money to fix the car than I use to buy the car. If you’re not on your last leg in need of a car DO NOT go here.
