Im so sad to write this review, but it is unfortunately necessary. I own a 2020 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss in Tangerine Orange. This truck is the love of my life and only has 26k on it currently. Because of this, I typically take my truck in for oil changes, warranty work, recalls, etc.Late October I brought my truck in for a known recall. The staff at Mohawk Chevy did not think it was necessary to perform the recall work...I only received an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment. I was peeved, but I assumed if I was having an issue with the truck I would just bring it back in.I just brought my truck back in less than 90 days later because my front tires are wearing VERY unevenly and the truck is pulling to the right. Also, the rear brakes are squeaking and there is a burning smell coming from the rear drivers side. Not only was the gentleman at the front desk rude and sarcastic -- they claim they didnt find ANYTHING wrong. During their brake inspection...they did NOT look at the calipers which is where the problem probably is. When I asked why the tires were documented as normal wear pattern their response was that the tires were fine. I promise the tires are NOT fine, but they were perfect less than 90 days ago.So all in all -- theyre unprofessional and useless. I had a TON of issues with Mohawk Honda when I had a Honda.....I should have known better. For everyones sanity, go ANYWHERE else!!!
This was my first time using the Service Department as I just recently purchased my new vehicle. I scheduled my appointment online which was very easy and user friendly to bring my vehicle in for a recall. I was greeted right away by my service advisor Greg Rivers. Greg was friendly, professional, and informative as he explained the process of what needed to be done to my vehicle to complete the recall inspection. Greg kept me well informed throughout my short stay in the very comfortable and inviting service waiting area. They were very quick in getting me back on the road and to work! Thank you Mohawk Chevrolet Service!
I was promptly greeted when I arrived. My service writer was very friendly and professional as I explained the problemThey told me they would call when repairs were completed as I chose to leave my vehicle. The repairs were completed in a few hours and I received a call that my vehicle was readyI would definitely recommend this dealership for repairs on your vehicle and would not hesitate to to trust them again.
Steve, Travis, and mechanic Dom Depalma went above and beyond, free-of-charge, to help me after-hours in an emergency situation. I pulled off the highway after they had closed for the night and they stayed late to diagnose, fix my issue and get me back on the road and safely to my destination. I am beyond grateful and impressed.
I have a 2019 Diesel 2500 Chevy pickup truck. I have a rattle in the rear passenger seat and I have brought my vehicle into the new Malta Mohawk Chevrolet location twice. The first time they indicated it was a broken back seat and told me they were purchasing a new seat and would replace the entire seat. When I brought it in for repair they said it was only a bracket which they replaced - not the full seat. I drive home - The rattle was still there. I called them a second time, brought the truck in again to get the rattle fixed correctly. Please note: As you drive into the service bay, they have equipment that will do an immediate service diagnostic on your vehicle. They promptly inform me that I need an alignment on the truck. I said Im here for a second time to fix the rattle - not get an alignment! This time they tell me it was just a bolt that they previously replaced in my truck (not a full seat or bracket as I was previously told) and I had to leave the truck for a second time. 3 hours later they called to say it was not the bolt, or bracket or seat that was causing the rattle-they said it was a hanger on the exhaust system that was hitting the spare tire plastic cover!!! They charged me $160+ to diagnose the problem because it was an aftermarket exhaust. I picked up the truck, pay the fee and immediately brought it to my trusted mechanic (whos been doing his job for over 30 years with a very successful business). He said there is no wear mark on the plastic shield to indicate that it was rubbing and that the diagnosis was incorrect. Additionally, he said my truck did NOT need an alignment. So now I am back to step 1 - with a 2 year old very expensive truck that rattles and the Mohawk Chevrolet service workers have no idea how to fix it. Would I recommend you bring your vehicle to be serviced there? NO!! They do not listen when you try to explain the problem and will quickly diagnose to get you in and out. Your issue will not be fixed and all you will be is frustrated and poorer in the pocket.UPDATE-10/29/21…yes I went back again because the rattle was really getting on my nerves. This time they kept my truck for over a week and finally called me to say they fixed the problem. Loose bolts in the back seat. I picked up the truck. Seemed ok until 2 weeks later when the rattle came back louder then ever. My suggestion is find somewhere else to take your vehicle to if you need maintenance. If they can’t fix a simple rattle after months of trying, I wouldn’t trust them for even an oil change.
When we purchased our vehicle from Mohawk Chevrolet and Adriana being our salesgirl, l expected the thank you and thats it. To my surprise Adriana reached out to us and made sure that we were totally satisfied. She then made arrangements with the service department to Simonize our vehicle and remove the couple of scratches that were present. What a beautiful job they did.I would definitely recommend Mohawk Chevrolet and Adriana as your sales rep.
I have used this dealership location for 20 years for my personal and business vehicles. They have a Great Service team, they are very personable and knowledgeable. The work gets performed on time and right the 1st time. The Great service starts with your phone call to make the appointment, no hassles just Good customer service right from the start!
Tony at Mohawk Chevrolet made purchasing our GMC Denali seamless. He was a pleasure to work with, was not pushy, and made sure we were well taken care of through the whole process. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a Chevy truck to go to Mohawk Chevrolet and ask for Tony, you will be well taken care of!
Mohawk Chevrolet was great the 2nd time there and they fixed the problem with the brakes! The first time did not fix the problem and they were somewhat rude to my husband! So a week later I went over with him and they were very friendly and solved the problem with my husbands truck so I am very happy and will go back in the future if any more problems come up!!!
I am deeply satisfied with Mohawk Chevrolet exit 12 of the Northway. They fixed my car with expertise work. They respected me way better then where I bought my car (Whiteman / Dix Ave, Glens Falls). I will from now on go here for any issues in near future . Im done with Whiteman. Thank you for helping me out as soon as you could.
I requested a state inspection. It was brought to my attention that the brake fluid needed to be replaced. I sat in a beautiful and comfortable lounge reading a book and chatting with a few employees while I waited. I will continue to use Mohawk Chevrolet services in the future.
It was my first service visit at the Ballston Spa location and I highly recommend! The new facility and customer experience exceeded all expectations. Don, the service representative, was professional and knowledgeable allowing for a seamless experience! This dealership has my future business!
I brought my vehicle to have it checked as it is new to me, and the engine was sounding louder than my other cars. I was wondering if it was the muffler. They kept it all day and checked out every possibility of a cause for the loudness. They couldnt find anything wrong. Greg, kept a record of my complaint and said that we will just watch it to see if it gets louder or there are any problems. He was very nice and courteous. I am pleased with they way he handled things!
This place is one of my favorite car dealerships. I’ve recommended people to them due to their kind and professional way of dealing with people. Jude helped me with all the questions I had and was very helpful to me. He was patient in showing me a few cars and giving me the details of each trying to figure out what I was looking for. They have a GREAT selection of vehicles and so many helpful people. I highly recommend. Plus the location is great, right off the exit.
Very professional, transparent, on time and great with communication. Recently purchased a 2021 Diesel Silverado and working with Dre and the service team has made running my business much easier. They understand that as a small business owner that time is money and make sure they have everything done properly and on time so you can get back on the road as soon as possible.
The service advisor Steve Duncan has been great in handling our repair issue. Due to the delay in getting a part, he was able to get me a dealer loaner vehicle while my truck was waiting on a back order Chev part. The part has come in and I plan on picking up my truck on 2 4 2021.
I bought a new 2021 Silverado in January of this year. In April of this year, a push rod broke on the right side (total mileage 3680). I asked for a loaner vehicle and was told that none were available. It was in the shop for 10 days and when I picked up my vehicle, I was told that I wouldnt have any more problems with the engine. Then at the end of September of this year, another push rod broke on the left side. It was in the shop for 17 days this time (total mileage 8370). Again I asked for a loaner vehicle, and was told that they only had 4 loaner vehicles available, and it did not look too good to get one. A week later, I called to see if I could get a loaner vehicle. I was told that maybe they might get one from enterprise rent a car, and they would get back to me. In the meantime, my wife had to make arrangements to get a ride to work, so I could have a vehicle. The day after I picked up my vehicle, the engine started to run rough. I called the service department, and told them that I would be there in 20 minutes, as I was near them.It turned out that a spark plug wire on the right side was loose and it fowled up the spark plug.So for the nine months that I owned it, it has been in the shop for 28 days.I requested to talk to the regional service representative, and I have not heard anything back yet.
I walked in about 10:30 am without knowing exactly what truck I wanted they had a pretty good stock. My salesman Tony was awesome by 4pm I was driving out with my new 2017 silverado z71 Red Line Edition full of fuel and fully detailed. This truck is sharp it had one issue but Tony made sure it was taken care of. ive seen a couple negative reviews but during my time there everyone was very nice and helpful even the parts lady was helpful. Ive worked at a dodge dealership and saw some people only out to get your money. This place really seemed to care about what you wanted/needed not just to toss you into a vehicle thats going to give them a fat commission. Ill be looking forward to working with Tony again.
I had very specific problem , an exhaust leak in an un obvious place. Was hatd to find and figure out st first, Greg in service went over and above and listened to me. We discussed how to proceed , he coordinated with the technician and everything worked out great.. i got truck back the next day all fixed and covered by warranty. Thank you Greg, i cant say enough. He is honest and he listens.
TL;DR: The only reason this is 2 stars and not 1 is due to the good work of the actual repair technicians. If you have a warranty, come prepared to have a lengthy fight with Mohawk and GM about using it at all. They are not your friends. Protect yourself. My car required repairs, of which, according to my warranty, were covered. The process of getting any repair covered under my GM warranty has been the most frustrating and aggravating experience ever. I also witnessed behavior by the Mohawk dealership staff and GM customer service representative that struck me as VERY troubling. First of all, out of the gate, both the dealership and the GM rep, each denied that I had any warranty at all, which wasnt accurate. In both cases, after I pushed back, they immediately walked this back both giving the response of oh Im sorry, my mistake. They both then tried to tell me that the warranty had already expired, which was also not accurate. Again, after pushing back on them, they immediately walked it back saying again oh Im sorry, my mistake. Pivoting to the dealership specifically; We then had a lengthy dispute on what was actually covered under the warranty, because there were issues that they claimed werent covered, however the language of the warranty was pretty clear to me that it was. Their strategy then moved to personally attacking my knowledge of my own warranty, of which I was reading from verbatim, as well as being very condescending about my knowledge of how cars work, all the while talking very fast and trying to rush me off the phone as quickly as possible. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that they were In a meeting. I then asked to be forwarded to their voicemail, was told I cant do that, I asked for his direct number and was told I cant give you that. I asked for his managers boss and was told the same thing. There wasnt a SINGLE person of authority at that dealership who would take 5 seconds to talk to me about this. They also refused my requests to be given a copy of the details of the warranty that they had on file for me so that I could make sure we were on the same page. I wont go into specific details to protect the few good employees they have from retaliation, but essentially, after about a month of fighting them, they finally relented and I got my repairs completed. At that point, the repairs on my car were done promptly, and properly. The actual service technicians working on the cars that I actually interacted with seemed to be very stand up, honest, hard-working people. Its a real shame that they have to work under such a exploitative and dishonest business. Through this whole process I couldnt help but think of those people who arent privileged enough to tie their car up for so long while they fight over $150 worth of repairs. Someone in a more desperate situation might be more inclined to just pay the $150 to avoid the weeks of headache. Herein lies the most troubling thing about this. It felt like extortion. I cant imagine how much money is made every year due to strong arming people to pay for repairs that the warranty that they paid for is supposed to cover. Based on my experience with two other GM dealerships and dealing directly with a GM representative, Im forced to conclude that this wasnt an isolated incident based on a bad or not well trained employee, but rather a systemic coordinated effort to defraud customers of coverage they already paid for. I shouldnt need to hire a lawyer just to get my car repaired. There isnt any sort of consumer protection here, and any word from GM that they Dont do this or Wont do this is worthless, because they have a financial interest in denying every single warranty claim. If you plan on dealing with Mohawk or any other GM dealership, be sure to come well prepared and well read on what your policy is, and be sure to stand your ground and not let them bully you into paying for service that you already paid for. Management wouldnt talk to me, so Im here. Support your Local Independent mechanics instead of GM.
Steven Duncan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went out of his way to explain what was wrong with my truck and even dropped off a loaner car to my house. Its been a long time since Ive had a dealership go above and beyond. So thankful that my friend referred me to Mohawk Chevrolet.
Purchased a used vehicle 2018 Chevrolet Colorado on 19 Feb 2021 did not even get the truck home and windshield cracked contacted dealer and took pictures. I sent them to my sales person who told me that service would contact me. No one called me back at all. Called them on Monday the 22nd after a discussion where the service rep questioned the fact it happened asked to talk to service manager Ed who confirmed Mohawk Chevrolet would repair shortly after our conversation Superior Glass contacted me and ordered my windshield on Feb 26 Superior Glass received windshield and needed a heated garage to install windshield and was told Mohawk Chevrolet service would contact me no one did On monday 3/1/21 in the afternoon skyped with a service rep who told me Mohawk Chevy would schedule a appointment and contact me no one did Superior glass called me late on Monday to setup windshield replacement for thursday 3/4. Still no word from Mohawk Chevy service. So I called service on tuesday 3/2 in the am and explained the appointment on thursday and needed a courtesy car for the day upon this request was told they had to check and get back to me at about 4pm was called back telling me they could not provide a car for me. I understand that Mohawk Chevrolet used a third party to perform windshield replacement , however they did not take any ownership of the process at all and I performed all the leg work and couldnt even get a loaner car pretty sad with the overall process
Finally I found a car repair/service shop where Good Enough is NOT considered a job well done! The good folks at Mohawk Chevorlet Service Dept do not stop untill their work is Spot On.I arrived at 10:30am for my repair appointment. I was advised that since my check engine light is on it may take a full day to repair my car. I asked them if they have a loaner vehicle but all of their loaner vehicles were already taken. I explained my circumstances and that I would have to wait. As I said above I arrived at Mohawk Chevys Service Dept at 10:30am and returned to my home (a 25 minute drive) at 12:40pm in my repaired vehicle. My car is a 2013 Chevy Malibu that I did not purchase from Mohawk Chevrolet, nor have I ever taken a vehicle there for service -- Yet I was treated as valued customer! The best part was the total cost for diagnosis and repair was 0! At check in I already knew what was wrong with my car (cam shaft actuater) and advised them that it was still under warranty. The nice gal who checked me in, went out and got the vin# from my car and checked my warrenty and didnt believe that a 7 year old car was still covered. She didnt stop checking through my warrenty until she found that the part I mentioned was covered. She could have stopped checking my warrenty when she found out that the drivetrain warrenty had expired years ago, however Chevrolet decided that the cam shaft actuaters are separate from the drivetrain and extended the warrenty on those parts. That is one thing that can be easily overlooked and dismissed. As I said these good folks dont quit at good enough. I will return there for all of my GM vehicle repairs! Thanks Guys and Gals!

2022-02-12First class operation...my service advisor, Dominick, was friendly and professional. He took the time to explain what other service should be performed soon on my 2017 Colorado. He and the team got me in and out quickly. Im so happy I chose this dealer when I bought my truck a year ago. Thank you, Mohawk Chevrolet!

2022-03-03Be very aware. I’ve had some issues with my truck that I bought there. They told me they ordered parts for it. Never heard anything for 2 weeks I had to call and check status and the advisor told me they were never actually ordered. They’ve had to keep my truck over night which I understand happens, but they offer nothing for a vehicle. They have the you on your own mentality, I spent over 40k on a vehicle and they don’t care if you have a ride home or not. This is the last time I will deal with this dealership that only wants your money

2022-03-16Called to have my blown brake lines replaced with ones I bought already. They are a direct oem fit. Get told they cant use mine at first. Than get told they can use them magically after I called back 30 mins later. Vehicle was suppose to be done monday than tuesday. Get called on tuesday saying they cant fully bleed my brakes cause rear bleeders are seized. They want to try to charge me more money to have them replaced. I tell them no I will take my vehicle home. They also tried to keep my brake lines from the kit I bought instead of giving them back till I asked about them. I drove 10 minutes to mavis and they had my brakes bleed perfectly fine within 15 mins. They are lying and just trying to take money that doesnt need to get spent. I will never recommend them for regular service work.

2022-03-01Was heading out on a long trip and had Mohawk oil change and rotate my tires as well as look over other things. VERY professional. Done on a timely manner. Mohawk is where I purchased this car and I plan on going to them again when i am ready for another one.

2022-01-26Be careful with billing. I was charged over $200 for the tires I was quoted. (I caught that one before I left and it was corrected) Wheel alignment was correct but I was also charged $24 more than the coupon oil change??? ( I did get refund for the difference) I was also contacted because I had a vehicle they wanted. I was shocked that they offered me less than NADA, by thousands.

2021-12-26Synced new FOB to my truck. An hours work and they were timely. Marc and Melissa were friendly and professional. They even dropped me and my son off at a local restaurant so we could get breakfast then picked us up when the truck was finished. Great customer service.
