They are competent, fair and honest. On more than one occasion I have taken my Ford Escape in suspecting a problem and they have told me not to worry-and no charge. My ONLY complaint is that their business is booming, so going in for a same day oil change is unlikely.I would heartily recommend them for value and integrity.
I have been bringing my car to Mohrs now for 4-5 years. I rely on my car heavily for my work commute, so it is truly a lifeline for me with my career. I am beyond satisfied with the service I am provided from Mohr’s. Starting with the front desk, Tim knows who I am, knows my car history. A few times I have peaked into the garage when the door was open, and I am always impressed on how clean, neat, and organized it is. The staff seem very engaged. Additionally, I love the quality that I receive when coming to Mohrs. I have never had to bring my car back for the same problem twice, which is the biggest frustration I have when dealing with other auto shops. In terms of quality, I really enjoy the pictures and descriptions that are provided via email when I bring my car in for work. The information and visuals make me feel informed on the condition of my car. Once again, my car is my lifeline and I rely on it every day. On my most recent experience with Mohr’s, I was able to drive around with a mechanic to help understand and troubleshoot exactly what I was observing with my car. I thought this was super helpful since the exact issue was difficult for me to explain, so this allowed me to point out exactly what I was seeing and hearing. I also enjoyed the bit of knowledge that I was able to learn from the Mechanic while asking a few questions about the problem we were seeing. Also on my last visit, I was able to borrow a loaner car which I was very appreciative for. It saved me a lot of time and inconvenience trying to coordinate a ride situation while my car was at the shop. It also made it an easy decision to leave my car an extra day to get additional repair work done. Without the loaner car I may have been anxious to get my car back and pushed this out to a later day and potentially have more severe issues.So overall I am very happy with the service provided from Mohr’s. I will continue bringing my car see myself here in the future for any work needing to be done.
Got charged more the double for an oil change then typical. I thought it must be inflation. Took my other car to another mechanic for the same oil change and got charged half what I was charged. Really unfortunate since I just moved to Saratoga and was trying to use a small business but got taken advantage of.
These guys are great. Very professional. They know they’re stuff and they don’t skimp. When they quote, they try to quote high, so you’re not shocked when you’re quoted and come in and you’re hit with more because things weren’t as they seemed. Car’s in great shape thanks to these guys. Will continue to bring my vehicles here for a long long time.
Jimmy my Service Technician is honest and upfront about needed repairs. He calls to check if there are any unexpected repairs/adjustments needed before proceeding with work. It is nice to be able to support a local business and get quality service at the same time. I recommend them for your automotive care.
Ive used Mohrs for 10 years since moving into Saratoga. Very pleased with the service, professionalism and cleanliness of the business!!! I am extra pleased with the emailed analysis reports. Being able to review them at my pace helps me fully understand and plan my car maintenance. Great program!!!Tim, the service manager has helped by explaining the necessary repairs and service needed for both of my cars. After my BMW dealership maintenance plan expired, I now use Mohr’s for all my maintenance and service needs. Recently he helped me find a good deal for my tires.
Our automobile needs have been so very professionally and thoroughly serviced through Mohrs for many years. This time (during covid) it was especially reassuring to have the matter resolved in a timely manner and be back behind the wheel just a few days after the Thanksgiving weekend!
I went in for an oil change, they were done in less than half an hour! They also let us know a few things that were wrong with the car and gave us an estimate to get it done which I found to be very reasonable. They were able to schedule us to get the car done very quickly and they were very friendly through the whole process! I would definitely recommend Mohr’s!
While visiting family I needed a new tire and they insisted I use Mohrs Service Center. When I brought my car there they got it in right away, were courteous, professional and made me feel very comfortable. I ended up purchasing 4 new, top of the line tires at a very good price and quick turn around. It was a refreshing auto shop experience and I was very satisfied. I would highly recommend Mohrs to everyone.
This place is a gem. If you’re looking for a mechanic that will be direct with you about what’s needed and get the job done in the time they said, for the price they said, this is your place. Honestly great service with good communication throughout the entire process.5/5 would definitely recommend
Ive had multiple new and used vehicles serviced at Mohrs for over 20 years. This included both routine maintenance and emergency services. The quality of service has been consistently excellent and professional. I especially appreciate their post service photo feedback on wear parts such as breaks, tires, etc. This service helps prevent surprises when wear parts need to be replaced. Prices are competitive but value for service received is outstanding.
New to the area and received good references to Mohrs. They did a full vehicle check on a newly purchased used vehicle and sent me pictures by email. Feel very confident now in my purchase and know what I can expect coming up and all for a very fair price. Fred was very reassuring. Ill definitely go back.
They did a NYS Inspection. Staff was pleasant. Inspection took about an hour.I was able to wait in a waiting area while car was being inspected.The reason for 3 stars is because the staff wasn’t taking Covid protocol seriously. The tech stepped out to talk with me and didn’t feel it was necessary to put a mask on.We’re in the midst of a global pandemic: BOTH tech and customer should wear masks when interacting.I suggest that people patronizing businesses inquire about what Covid protocol is being followed- and if you’re uncomfortable with what they tell you, find another business that is in sync with your preferences.
Weve been using Mohrs Service for over 15 years, for both our personal cars and our business vehicles. Theyre always friendly, professional and work is done on time and done the right way. Five years ago our business moved several miles away, yet we still return to Mohrs for service because of our longstanding satisfaction.
My wife and I have been bringing our cars and trucks to Mohrs since we moved here over ten years ago. They came highly recommended then by a neighbor and we highly recommend them now. They seem to do a thorough ck of my car every time im in. They never try and sell me stuff on the spot, just make recommendations that I can do at my convenience. Over all I would rate as the best shop Ive experience so far. Keep up the good work guys.
Wow things sure change when it come close to the holidays. I walked into the garage today to get a check engine light reading, oil change and my fluids topped off for winter, I was surprised when they laid the smack down and told me that the reading for the engine check would be $89.00 off the bat. I really enjoyed coming to this place for my inspection but Im guessing they are really hungry for money. I took my business to Mavis Discount tires and was very welcomed there. Next time they should really be more empathetic to customers and maybe should have just told me it was no problem and just helped us out.
Quality work at a fitting price. I went in for my front wheel bearings and as it was a little expensive I would say its still better than the dealers rates and if you want quality work done, the price will follow. Overall, friendly service and they did a decent job with a multi point inspection of the rest of the vehicle. Most importantly I can drive my car without any worries
Holy Expensive Batman! I dropped my truck off for an oil change, NYS inspection, and a tire rotation. $188s later, I have my truck back. These guys must not like repeat business. I was impressed with the pictures of their general inspection sent to my email, but not enough to go back. I was in a pinch and they got me in. The best way I can describe them is premium.**edit post owner response** Thanks David. I tried to call the number you provided but did not get an answer. I would like to have that call as I have some followup concerns based on your response and something that has come to my attention today. Also, I did not question if my bill was accurate, just the observation that it is 2x what I typically pay for similar service from a GM dealership (inspection withstanding). You set your prices and thats entirely within your rights. That dealership was not able to provide the service in the time I needed, but you were. Thank you for that, but I stand by my observation of your pricing.
Had an awesome experience with Mohrs. We were on our way taking out daughter to college in the middle of a 6 hour ride and car started running rough just off the 87 exit. Called AAA and they recommended Mohrs. This was at 4pm. Arrived at Mohrs and Shawn and crew were fantastic. Had it in the shop and diagnosed with in 15 minutes. Car was fixed by 5pm and we were on our way. They didnt have to do this as we were just passing through and not a regular customer. They turned what could have been a disaster for us into a minor hiccup and were very professional about it. Thanks to Mohrs out taking daughter to college trip was a success!!
As a business owner with a large fleet of vehicles, I often use Mohr’s Service Center for my vehicle repairs. They are an extremely professional shop that consistently diagnosis vehicles right the first time and communicates well as they complete repairs. I would highly recommend coming to Mohr’s for any make or model of vehicles and any type of repair.
Ive been bringing my various cars here for over 11 years. If you want a trustworthy place to bring your car for reliable service time after time, this is the shop. Theyll inform you when you need scheduled maintenance (if youre forgetful like I am) and you can always count on a quick turnaround. 5 stars, without question.
I have had nothing but top notch/professional experiences with Mohrs Service Center. A professional/engaging staff with a can do attitude is what you find when dealing with Mohrs. I have and continue to recommend this Service Center to friends/family and everyone i may encounter who mentions being in need of a Service Center to perform a service/repair/etc. where they can absolutely count on being treated with nothing but proper and honest business practices above and beyond what would be found elsewhere.
Worst service Ive gotten so far. Took my car there for a diagnostic on my Service Engine Light after Ive already used the scanner from Advance Auto Parts and done the research on the codes. I figured I dont have time to go look for all the possible causes of those codes, thats why I took the car here. The service guy told me that the diagnostic fee includes running it through their computer then go into the car and find out exactly what the problem was. So great, that was exactly what I needed. Several days later they called back and said they suspected a vacuum leak, but in order to find out where it is, it would cost an additional ~$500 in labor, to which i disagreed. Ive done my researches online about the codes before bringing it in, and there are multiple sources that could have given those codes. When I said how they didnt find out the problem for me, which was promised in the diagnostic fee, they replied with the fee includes 30min-1hr of preliminary searches which was conveniently left out of their promise when I took the car there. Then they proceeded to call me a liar when I told them that the service guy told me that they will find the problem instead of the time limit they would spend on the search. Needless to say, I didnt feel good about pay them $90+ for effectively done nothing for me. They even threatened to keep the car and call the police if I refuse to pay for the diagnostic. I feel ripped off and theres nothing I can do about it.
In my opinion there is no other service center in the Capital District. My Mother, Father, Sister, and Brother all use Mohr’s Service Center and we would never think of using any other. My family and I drive all different makes and models of cars and they can do it all, they are experienced career professionals not high school kids working part time. No pressure to up sell service that you don’t need. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and TRUSTWORTHY. In this day and age that makes them invaluable to me and my family. Try them once and you will never use another service center again.
I was able to get right in to have car serviced. same day service. I received a small discount on labor as this was an air conditioning issue worked on last year as well. I paid for coolant to be added and half the labor. It seems to be working well now. I cant help thinking that last years issue and need for a replacement compressor perhaps wasnt finished by adding the coolant. Its funny that when I brought it in last year... that told me it was over filled with coolant????

Unable to diagnose a loose spark plug after holding the car for 2+ days and charging an hour of labor. Pinpointed the issue myself and fixed it at home in under an hour. The location of the noise was very obvious and this is a documented issue for this car. At least they admitted they werent confident in their diagnosis, which was a much more expensive part nowhere near the source of the noise. Glad I did not proceed. Either way, disappointing.
BEWARE ! THEY will RIP YOU OFF ! 2006 BMW 325xi- My car leaked steering fluid all over the driveway so I called these people up to ask if they serviced BMW cars and they said Yes so I had AAA tow my car there. Next day I received a call from them telling me that they put oil in the steering pump and it was making alot of noise so it all needed to be replaced and that the pump needed to come from BMW because it was not available after market , all the hoses also needed to replaced and the cost would be $4700 - needless to say that this is probably more then the car is worth so I did some research on-line.What I found out is that after market pump are available and that they rarely fail on these cars. I called a BMW specialist ( a real one this time) and he confirmed what I found on-line . After paying a $65 diagnostic fee to Mohrs I had the car towed else where. $1070.00 later my car runs great and guess what the pump did not need to be replaced , just some hoses and the rack.
2nd visit today with our 2nd vehicle. We are very happy to have found a local company able to work on both our foreign car and domestic truck. We will keep coming back!We had our 2001 Audi TT worked on again this week....hard to get parts but Mohrs did it!! Thank you so very much!!!
After spending $1500 on rear caliper and rotor replacement (which was quite a bit), the mechanic told me I NEEDED to replace my rotor dust shields. They had to order them, and they charged me an additional $500 to replace these non essential shield. From there, they ruined my rear abs sensors and both rear wheel bearings getting while replacing the dust shields. For that they charged me $200 to fix. However, while replacing my abs sensors and wheel bearings, they ruined my master cylinder. I brought my car elsewhere because I cant afford to have them keep breaking it. They must have changed managers or something, because there business is going down hill fast.
Shop was not able to perform requested service. No worries. The female associate at the front counter with hickeys on her neck and the male associate with his hat on backwards and slumped over the counter does not do anything for the professional appearance of your business.It’s about your Brand. When a customer walks thru your front door, that is the perception.Not a professional business, no standards.Not good.

2022-05-26Very happy with the overall experience. Many shops won’t touch Porsche work. Tim was super professional. Called part way through the day and asked if they could accommodate a schedule change on my end, and they got it done…. No questions asked. Definitely going back!

2022-01-15I have been using Mohr’s Service Center for many years. I had my car in today for an inspection. I love the written feedback I’m given after each visit. The mechanic did a check on all my car’s systems. My appointment was timely and I was on my way in no time.

2021-12-02This was my first visit to Mohrs having recently moved to Saratoga. My car (VW Jetta) had a dead battery and needed an oil change and a few other minor issues. The shop is very clean and well run. There is one person - Jimmy - who is there to get things scheduled, provide updates when the car is in, and go over the general condition of the car at pickup. The price was fair and the work was done right and on time, Jimmy made the entire process very easy. My best endorsement is that I have scheduled an appointment for my other car (Volvo XC60) which has previously been serviced only at the dealership where I purchased it.

2021-07-12This was my first experience at Mohr’s Service Center. I brought my car in for my NY Inspection.From my first contact on the phone with Jimmy making my appointment until he called me with the diagnosis of issues, to picking up my car the next day, I was impressed with Jimmy. He explained everything completely and treated me with respect and friendliness.Although the repairs needed were more than I anticipated, I truly appreciated the customer service. David, it was reminiscent of dealing with you father, Bill, back in the early days.I don’t want to come back, but if I need help, I do know where to turn. Thank you.
