This is my second time using Moishes Moving and Storage but my first time leaving a review. Jami helped me over the phone to set up the appointment last week. We selected size of the room and the appropriate pick up time. I got a text 30 mins prior to arrival and a text when the movers arrived. My items were handled with care and the truck was loaded in a timely manner. The paper work was straight forward and any questions I had were answered. I would reccomend this service to anyone. The free pick up definitely a plus if you have a busy schedule!
Great team- Foreman Eric, along with William, Aaron, and Keionte did a wonderful job moving us from NY to NJ. Everything arrived in perfect condition, no damage, and they reassembled all the furniture. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area looking for reliable movers. Cynthia in the office was great with getting everything set up - was super easy and painless.
These guys are amazing. They (four person team) wrapped and boxed a 2-bedroom apartment in under 5 hours. When they broke down the furniture they did things like informing us which screws might need to be replaced because when we built them a screw or two had been stripped. They handled breakable items with such care and once everything was boxed, it was like a pride contest on who could close and tape the boxes shut the fastest. My only critique was that they arrived too early, but that means we were finished early too! Thanks, Moishes!
I had two of the best guys this company can produce the were efficient, patient, and literally moved to my beat. Not an ounce of mess left behind and they assisted from the very beginning up until they departed. Thanks guys you were amazing. Companies like this need more workers like you do. Moishes is truly an amazing moving company. From their head quarter staff and reps to those making pickup. They are very professional, friendly, hard working and extremely well organized and quick. Moving process is normally very stressful, but Travis and his team who came to pickup all our stuff were incredible totally alleviating all our stress right from the minute they came thru our door with such a great friendly attitude.
Okay quality of work. Guy who came to do in person estimate never responded to calls and email. Office did. Day before move we found out condo assn needs insurance from movers, they resolved in few hours, but thought it would have been known and standardMove sked bet 8 & 9. Guys came at 10:30. The movers were nice and professional. But lost some pieces of couch, so further delayed since they had to go buy replacement
I had a wonderful experience with Asher and his crew for my move! They were kind and patient and went above and beyond with everything, from taking care of my belongings, to helping me place them like they were their own items. I will definitely use them again in the future and request Asher and the crew again if I can!
I’m so impressed with this place. I got a 3-month storage unit (35 sq ft) for around $129/month, which I think is a great price for NYC storage.The free pick up service? Incredible. Chabour and his team were excellent & took great care of my items. This is the only storage place I’ll use in NYC from now on.Thank you Chabour & team, Jami who helped coordinate everything, and Moishe’s for making my move-out day that much easier!!!!!
The movers were excellent. We had packed 40-50 boxes and they packed everything else (furniture, computers, TV, etc.). They loaded their truck in just 2 hours. When we arrived at our new location, they were waiting for us. We were unloaded in 2 hours and everything was placed wherever we wanted.
What a fantastic job from the 2 men who moved my bedroom furniture, mattress and TV. They were polite and so professional and I was totally more than satisfied with the moving job. Dont hesitate to call Moishes Moving.
I’ve used Moishe’s many times. They showed up on time, packed up everything in 3 hours, left the apartment clean and were on their way. The crew were courteous and worked quickly. I highly recommend Moishe’s.
This was my 4th move with Moishes and they did a great job again. The team lead, Jose, was friendly and experienced. It amazed me how quickly they got the job done. They charged me the exact price of the pre-move quote, even though traffic was bad and the drive from pt. A to pt. B took an hour linger than expected.
Terrible customer service!!!I had my belongings moved out of my apartment, moved into storage, and then moved into a new apartment all with Moishes. Somewhere in that process, Moishes lost two of the feet to my bed frame and stained (grease stains and unidentifiable stains) and put holes in my couch. Things happen, but when I started the claims process (after paying additional for insurance while my belongings were in storage), Moishes customer service has dragged it out for nearly a month with no explanation, poor responsiveness, and no customer satisfaction whatsoever for having damaged my belongings. Moving is never fun and I understand that things happen, but Moishes has made it all a much bigger hassle!
Eric, Aaron and William were exceptional. They were professional, speedy, friendly, positive and very good at their job. Will 100% use Moishe’s in the future and will request this crew. A pleasure to work with.
My experience with Moishe’s was stellar. Moving sucks. Moving in NY sucks. Moishe’s made it painless and easy and the movers were professional and wore masks inside of my home without even being asked to.
They came and picked up my daughters stuff from her dorm. She accidentally packed her ID and was leaving on the airplane for home the next morning.They were able to work with us and get her into the storage unit to find her ID. Crisis averted.They were professional and responsive to her needs which gives me a sense of security since I live about 5000 miles away.Thank you!

Engaged Moishes for a door-to-door move. One of the movers was caught stealing valuable items on video footage. Instead of taking responsibility, Moishes hiding behind the legal language of lost merchandise for the insurance claim. Unfortunate event, as weve traditionally had positive experiences.
The movers were fast, in very good spirits, reassuring, and polite in all ways. If one can enjoy the experience of watching ones things disappear into boxes, then I have to say I enjoyed this. An excellent team.
I had to move my daughter’s possessions from her apartment in the Kingston NY area to an apartment in mid town Manhattan. I KNEW I wouldn’t be able to do it with a Uhaul. I called a couple of outfits before Moishes and when I spoke with an associate all I got was “we can do it!” They were responsive every step of the way. And mostly the dealt with the headache of blocking a lane of traffic on a one way street! If you’re moving in the NYC area, consider them! Professionals who know the territory are worth it!
Moving is never easy and these guys make it bearable. The quotes are spot on. The movers are wonderful to work with. If you are in and around NYC and looking for a move. It’s hard to imagine something better.

Moishes moving fell short of expectations in every conceivable way. Please do not trust anything marketed on their website. There are plenty of higher quality moving companies in NYC/NJ.1. The moving time was set for 9am. They showed up at 1030am.2. I had emailed and spoke to 2 different moving representatives to let them know that packing services were required, yet the movers showed up unaware they needed to pack.3. During the move, I incurred the following issues: (i) 3 closets were left totally unpacked at the original apartment (had to go back next 2 days); (ii) flat screen TVs were not put in boxes per website and just covered with blankets and stuffed on truck with other items; (iii) tables were scratched (see pictures); (iv) the sofa was completely left behind in the kitchen due to their inability to unbolt one of the legs; (v) bed frame was left behind due to their inability to disassemble; (vi) dressers and other items that were to be taken to building garbage were not removed (had to go back next two days and do myself); (vii) expensive art was not put in boxes or wrapped with care as mentioned on website; (viii) they left a bag of epsom salts and oats wide open and threw them in a box full of kitchenware, which ended up spilling and becoming embedded in all my kitchen supplies, including toaster, coffee maker, blender, and other items (complete nightmare).4. On top of everything, including all the items they left behind (btw they had 3 movers), it took 7 hours to move a basic 1 bedroom apartment to a location that was 3 miles away in the city!!! Their customer service is non-existent. I emailed and called about the issues and received no response, refund, or anything.Please do not utilize their services for your move. Attached are pictures of the items left behind and damaged.
I hired Moishes moving for my recent move last Wednesday, October 28th. I booked my move way in advance over the phone with JordanArroyo. We had several lengthy phone conversations to go over every single item from my apartment, number of boxes and special needs for some very delicate furniture pieces. He assured me three movers would be enough for my move and that he was calculating 6 hours even though my move was going to be much much shorter. He was VERY mistaken. The move started at 8.38am and finished after 6pm.They sent three very inexperienced movers who had never worked together before, didnt know each others names and did not have any idea of what a move is. The truck they sent was extremely small and it soon filled up. Also, they were not wearing the Moishes uniform not was the truck a Moishes truck, very odd. They caused damaged to my old apartment by dragging furniture on the floors. The main mover Johnathan seemed confident about the move but he had no idea, he dragged a dresser from the bedroom through the hallway all the way to the living room destroying the beautiful floors. This damage came out of my security deposit. As soon as all the boxes were out and he started moving and wrapping furniture he started telling me that this move was gonna cost more but he wouldnt report it to the company if I could take care of them. Of course I was going to tip them anyways but I agreed as it sounded like what he wanted to do. He insisted with this statement all day long and all day long he was playing me. The problems really arose when we got to my new apartment a short 6 blocks away. They took forever to unload and bring the furniture and boxes up. It seemed they had lost all steam. They were not working together and I started to see some really bad things. They broke my DWR desk. They broke a shelving unit. They cracked a glass table. They stained several pieces of furniture with tape which he placed directly onto my surfaces. In the case of the dresser the stains came off but in the case of my velvet sofa, the stains are permanent. They scratched a broke the doors of my credenza. They broke two Flos lamps. They bend my mattress (now with a permanent crease) and they broke the Tempurpedic box bed frame ( the adjustable kind). They placed almost every single box inscribed as fragile underneath boxes that were marked heavy or books. When bringing the sofa into my new place, they scratched several walls and door frames that had been recently painted. They scratched the floors severely dragging furniture. Obviously they had no idea. Who told them they could drag the furniture? I had to be yelling at them constantly and doing physical labor next to them and they still damaged and destroyed several pieces of furniture. They also broke a shelving unit and when I asked what happened to it he replied: I didnt put anything on the truck. Finally they unloaded everything they were able to bring on their first trip by 5pm. I had to convince to please finish the move today and go back to my old place 6 blocks away and bring the missing boxes and pieces of furniture. By 6pm they told me they were downstairs and I had to go bring the things up myself. He asked me for his tip which I had prepared as $300 dollars in CASH. When I pulled it out he took if off my hand. and later told me my move had gone from $1200 to $2000 dollars. I asked to see the empty truck, which is a requirement of any moving company and my request was denied. He assured me the truck was empty and I had not choice but to take his word. I know for a fact it is a requirement for me to sign a form after I see the empty truck. This did not happen. A box is missing and this boxed was labeled accessories and it had valuables inside (watches).MOISHEs failed on so many levels. Please see the photos attached, I do not exaggerate. They refuse to pay me for any of the damages. They are a disgrace and a sad excuse for a moving company. Their claims agent Kayla Johnson refuses to give me any answers.
I had heard Moishes Moving NYC had a great reputation for efficiency and honesty, and my experience moving within the city confirms this. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful. My liaison by phone & email, Cynthia Cardona, got back to me quickly, clarified every point, and listened--really listened--when I explained that I recently had surgery, could not lift or strain, and needed the movers to close my luggage and do other things that might seem easy but were beyond my limits. The movers were already primed on arrival to help me in all the ways I had indicated to Ms. Cardona. Both movers were terrific--fast but careful, and respectful of my belongings and of me. The head person, Flavio Cabrera, proved humane and intelligent as well as dynamic. The movers collected everything when they said, delivered everything when they said, and courteously took care of every request. I would absolutely recommend Moishes Moving to anyone!
After speaking with many long distance moving companies I went with Moishes because my sales person, Carlos, was helpful, friendly, understanding and honest.Jada, the long distance moving coordinator, was detail oriented and provided excellent customer service.The movers on both legs of my long distance move did a great job and were communicative and proactive in regards to scheduling pick up and delivery.10/10 I have no qualms. I am very pleased with Moishes.
From the moment I called and requested services, I received great support and timely responses for Carlos Garza. Someone came to the house immediately to provide an estimate of services.When the movers arrived it was such a relief. Worry free moving because we were in excellent hands with Andres, Kenneth and Felix. This team was just amazing, professional, efficient and went above and beyond to take care of our belongings.Would definitely recommend this company and this particular group of men to get the job done right!
Did a great job with my move. Really efficient and careful. They worked efficiently that they were able to significantly beat the time estimate and saved me a lot of money. Friendly and professional. My second time using Moishes.
AVOID!!! $5,000 WORTH OF BOOKS RUINED BY MOLD.Moishes used to be my go to mover. I used them 3 times in one year. Until they stored the contents of my office for 15 months and then delivered the boxes WET. Collectible and rare books compiled over 20 years were destroyed. Boxes were delivered moldy and full of bugs. Their insurers denied the claim due to Hurricane Ida. I find this curious since we were told there was no water damage at the storage facility and that our unit was on the 6th floor. Moishes response: Well give you $250.If youre in the business of moving and storage and you ruin peoples stuff you do the right thing and compensate them. If you dont you can rightfully be called SHYSTERS and my advice to others is to find a better option. Moishes are horrible, bad people.Response from the owner an hour agoWe are sorry about this experience. Did you speak to our customer service department?DID WE SPEAK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE? Youre kidding me right? We have wasted days preparing reports, calling your office, and speaking to your insurance people. This side of your claim response only adds fuel to the fire and makes you look even more like a shady, horrible company. TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY for your errors!
If you value your property, DO NOT entrust your belongings to Moishe’s Movers. Unfortunately I did. Having originally been quoted $2,900 (very reasonable) by Moishe’s for my unremarkable move from New York to San Francisco, I was ultimately charged $4,100 by Moishes and am still paying a further $3,000 absorbed due to damage of my personal items. $7,100 is rather a lot more than I had expected to pay for my move, and this is not accounting for the anguish and frustration experienced along the way trying to work with Moishe’s.I was over charged by $750 due to a ‘misquote’. My items also arrived later than they were promised with a number of failed delivery dates along the way. The $3000 in damages to my personal items during the move continues to increase as I find more and more broken items I had initially overlooked, even 4 months later.I am generally not a busy body, nor a complainer but since Moishe’s stopped responding to my emails to request a refund, I have included the last of my correspondence with them below for reference.———On Mon, Apr 30, 2018 at 9:34 AM Xanthe Travlos wrote:Dear Mr Fadida and Mr Likaont,Im writing to request a refund for my move with Moishes. We had a terrible time with our move with Moishes. While the salesman was nice (and probably the reason we got duped into choosing them), the movers were very late at the initial point (causing many problems in the building and with packing), and then a great many items arrived damaged at the end. They also WAY overpacked our items (I found clothes hangers in giant boxes), so we paid way too much. The most upsetting were all the sentimental items that were damaged. The company offered very little in terms of reimbursement, despite multiple emails. DO NOT USE!
Let my experience be a warning: in a city where there are hundreds of options for moving and storage companies, look into other companies that aren’t Moishe’s.We used Moishe’s to store our furniture while waiting to move into our new place. Unfortunately for us, nearly every piece of furniture we gave them came back damaged, filthy, or just disappeared. Don’t get me wrong, my husband and I know things happen during moves. But we expected some sort of support from Moishe’s. A few weeks after submitting our claim for the missing and damaged furniture we found out they wouldn’t even cover the cost of replacing the missing pieces that they lost from our bed.Moving is stressful enough, do yourself a favor and hire a different company that won’t add to the stress of moving. It’ll be worth it in the long run.
Great job by the team! Omar did great work and his team was super professional. They worked efficiently and knocked out our move from Manhattan to Queens. They also put in extra effort to handle a problem with our couch. We think they did great work, and it was a super price too. Overall, great experience.

Asher and the whole crew did a great job they were very responsive to all our moving needs and really helped and were patient with breaking down furniture and setting it up.
Third time moving with Moishes - excellent every time (obviously wouldnt go with same movers if not good). The move administrators are always efficient and teams of movers are always super professional, hard working, careful with the stuff theyre moving, fast and on time. I havent even price- shopped in years because I love their service, and Id rather pay a bit more maybe, but have excellent move/all object arrive intact, on time. Highly recommend.
Moishes was amazing from start to finish. Booking was super easy, the estimate was right on point.The movers were easy to work with, the foreman Andre was on top of everything, understood what I needed and made it happen. We had alot of heavy furniture and a piano, they disassembled and reassembled quickly, professionally and without a scratch. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again.
Moishe’s movers gave us a great moving experience. We had a one flight down two flight up move and the team they sent were able to get the job down quickly and efficiently. They showed up on time and took great care in making sure none of our furniture got damaged. We had some tricky big pieces to fit through our narrow doorway and they were able to get it through when other movers had to take pieces apart to fit them. All around nice guys who were warm and professional. Would definitely recommend.

BEWARE!!!!! Moishes moved me from New York to Denver in January. We have moved ten times, including overseas. Never have I had such a horrible experience. Corner of an expensive armoire broken off. Expensive curio cabinet glass shattered. New Stickley table dented, gouged and scratched. Literally hundreds of dollars/40 years of memories in the form of dishes, decor and keepsakes broken. For example, they placed a paperweight in a crystal bowl. After persisting with them, they finally processed my claim and offered me $300 for more than $4,000 worth of damage. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They DO NOT know how to pack delicate items. And they DO NOT CARE about your personal belongings.Update - They upped their offer to $500 but then never followed through or sent a check. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Make sure you check out all of the many addresses they are posting for their business. A diversionary tactic so that you won’t come across the now spread out bad reviews.
I would leave a 0 star review if I could. Do not use this company for your moveThe moving team and associates are unprofessional, sloppy, and lazy. They are terrible quality, do not care about damaging items or property, and provide awful customer service.The movers showed up 5 hours late. Dispatch was not responsive on move day despite missing the entire pickup window.The movers threw boxes around labeled fragile and caused significant damage to my building interior. Moving team did not inform me of the damage, I saw it as I walked them out of the building.Management was not responsive when dealing with claims. After finally getting someone on the phone, the representative got an attitude asked about next steps to file a claim for damages caused.The moving team also took items out of my trash, I assume for personal use - highly unprofessional.
Anthony and Pascal, immediately attended to my need to move a small office in a weeks time. It was done and it went smoothly. Cost perfect, moving team efficiently handled by Steve. This is the second time I used Moishes services and will do it again!!

My great experience started with consultant Cynthia who helped walk me through what my needs would be and provided me with an estimate. I needed to move out in a hurry and was worried it would be an issue finding someone but it was no problem at all with Moishes! The movers arrived on time and were very nice and accommodating. They even helped move my dressers downstairs that we were just disposing of. They had to do two stops to accommodate my roommate and myself. The entire move was quick, painless, no surprises when it came time to pay and I couldn’t recommend this company more!
Moishes movers are reliable, and extremely careful movers. Flavio, Edgar and Jose were great packers, careful and considerate. They were also a pleasure to work with. Everything arrived at the destination as it should. The pricing was fair and I would use them again.

The team at Moishes was extremely communicative throughout the process - thank you, Pascal! On the day of the move, the crew arrived right on time and worked quickly and carefully to get the job done. It was surprisingly fast.
Everyone we dealt with at Moishe’s was professional, helpful and made things very simple. Roi was our estimator - he spent a few quick minutes in our home for the estimate which was the exact length of our move day-of. He quickly booked us and had the COIs for our buildings turned around just as quickly. Travis, Trevor and Antoine were our movers and again, were on time, professional and efficient. They were also very nice and kept the mood light on what can be a stressful day. None of our furniture or items were damaged in the move - would highly recommend Moishe’s!

I hired Moishes because my original hired movers never showed. I called them the evening before and were nice enough to fit me in their first morning slot. Guys were delayed a little due to their truck issue. However, they were quick, professional, and kind towards all my stuff. I would definitely hire them again and would love to recommend to anyone not being able to find a good reputable company.
I have moved 5 times in NYC and used multiple services. Moishes is the the best because of the professionalism and consistency. Moving in and out of doormen buildings requires your moving crews to be on time, correctly estimate how long things will take, then execute. Moishes has done this for me every time and my most recent move was no exception. The team showed up on time, got packed, moved, and unpacked for me with nothing getting damaged. Would highly recommend!
Moving can be stressful but by using Moishe’s we were able to avoid that! Not only were our movers professional and efficient but it helps a lot when they also had an amazing attitude. They were very easy to deal with and just made the experience great! Catastrophically unprofessional. Our movers did not show up.My wife and I booked our move 4 weeks in advance, and confirmed with Moishe’s the day before and the day of. When the movers missed their time window by an hour, I had to call dispatch in order to find out that they had no ETA for our house, and then several phone calls and hours later they deigned to inform us that the movers were not going to come.Their staff offered us neither solutions, nor basic human empathy. Not only did they not move us on the agreed upon date, but when we asked for another date that week, they refused to move us at all. They acted as if this was something we should have expected on a moving day, and disclosed to us that they would likely have to cancel on other movers the next day as if that would put our minds at ease. Far from it, it leads me to believe that they consistently stretch themselves too thin, and do not care enough about their clientele to give them advance notice when they inevitably drop the ball.If you expect basic commitment, accountability, or care from your movers, do not do business with Moishe’s
My experience moving from NYC to Philadelphia was great. My two movers were highly professional and kind. They arrived right on time, and the total cost was actually below the original estimate. I couldn’t have asked for an easier experience.
Eddie and his crew were absolutely fantastic and were so hard working. The entire team was so kind and easy to work with. They were very efficient and loaded and unloaded so quickly. They made sure to package all my items very well. I would HIGHLY recommend them and will use them again if I move in the future. I must say that I was impressed with Moishe’s moving service. It started with Lily when I called to see about their service. Lily was patient, courteous and professional. She immediately sent me information about fees and worked with me to get the best quote possible. On moving day, we had the pleasure of having Joshua and Alwin. It was the day after a snowstorm. These two young men are the absolute best! Both were friendly, professional, and wore their masks for safety. Our moved called for a 3rd person and the company was going to send someone else while Joshua and Alwin got started but it wasn’t necessary. Wow! Both of them moved quickly!! Our big pieces were disassembled and reassembled properly. Every piece of furniture was wrapped securely and handled with care. The snow and ice was not a factor. They kept all pieces of furniture dry. It was amazing to watch how precise, quick and effortless these 2 worked together. Moving can be stressful but not if you have the right team. I’m thankful for Lily, Joshua and Alwin. I highly recommended Moishe’s Moving. You won’t be disappointed!!
Moishes did a great job. We priced out our one bedroom move from Queens to Manhattan and Moishes gave us the best price. Their sales contact was prompt and accurate. The actual movers were professional and easy to work with. We had one minor issue with a leg on our sofa, but once I let Moishes know they moved us quickly through the compensation/insurance process. This is why we always use professional and insured movers.
If you read this review, I plead with you to not use Moishes.I used Moishes to move-out and store my belongings while temporarily displaced during COVID. They offered free pick-up which I took advantage of.Upon empying my unit and later unpacking, I realized that Moishes had LOST a box containing highly sentimental items. I immediately reached out to attempt to find the box. After weeks of inconsistent, unhelpful, and lack luster support they have finally emailed me to say the box was never found.IF YOU READ THIS REVIEW AND GO ON TO USE MOISHES, PREPARE YOURSELF FOR:1) Inefficient, unsafe, and disorganized shipment of your belongings -- shipping multiple peoples belongings in single trucks without any way of tracking when/where misplaced items end up.2) Abysmal and at times non-existent customer service -- I experienced weeks of silence, extremely unhelpful responses, and and overall awful customer experience working with Kayla Johnson.3) The possibility of losing any number of sentimental or highly valuable items with absolutely no regard/concern from Moishes -- if your items go missing, save yourself the trouble of dealing with their team and consider them a goner.

Ive moved with Moishes four times in 13 years. Each time has been excellent! Everyone from the sales consultants (Ive worked with Kat and Joe most recently) to the movers to the foreman has been extremely helpful, professional, and clear about the costs. I highly recommend the packing option. The movers pack quickly and expertly--my whole apartment was boxed up in three hours! Its absolutely worth the extra cost, and nothing has ever been broken when Ive unpacked. Ive also used Moishes for small jobs such as picking up a table from a storage facility; theyve always arrived punctually, worked quickly, and handled each item with care. Really, its hard to think of how a moving company could be any better! I recommend them without hesitation.

We spoke and met with a number of moving companies for estimates, and found Moishes was both the most professional and the best value.Special thanks to Patrick who did a thorough walk through and put together the estimate, Flavio and his crew for the actual move, and Kat who handled all of the coordination and admin. They stayed in touch as moving day approached and allowed us to easily reschedule when the sale of our apartment was postponed. On moving day they arrived right on time, worked very hard and fast to get everything on the truck and unloaded on the other end. This was our best move every. Very pleased!

I had a great experience with Moishes for my recent move. Kat, my sales consultant, was extremely helpful, patient with my questions, and very responsive- I never waited more than 15 minutes to hear back from her. The three movers called me when they were an hour away from my first location and arrived exactly on time. They were careful and thorough but they worked as quickly as possible. They could not have been nicer. They moved my furniture into my 4th floor walk up with smiles on their faces and were patient with me when I asked to rearrange some items. They calculated the cost of my move very fairly - I got an amazing price and fantastic service. I highly recommend Moishes!
I had a fantastic experience with Moishes. Two friends recommended them to me. Sales rep named Ian came to my apartment to give us a quote. He gave us the best flat rate quote and also gave us a great deal on a box/tape package -- he estimated correctly exactly the number of boxes we ended up using in the end. Got my boxes, tape, and packing paper delivered to my apartment for free (they were late but nice about it) and they were very responsive to my follow up questions and always helpful on the phone. Moishes uses contractors who do the actual move, but Ian hooked me up with the movers my friend had used and loved. The actual movers I had were from Goya Services -- those people were AMAZING. They were magicians. Everything was done on time and within the time frame and they were so nice, patient, and accommodating the day of the move. Will definitely use them again!
We had a great experience with Moishes moving company. It started with a pleasant meeting with the estimator, Patrick, who was very professional and took the time to answer all of our questions. Patrick also proactively called me on our moving day to make sure everything was going well, which was above and beyond. The movers were friendly and flexible, they had to wait for our service elevator to come back online after a brief outage, and they took great care to protect our belongings. Overall a great experience!

We moved from NYC > NJ, so not far but technically an out of state move. The team was great. They were late, but it was due to a last minute crew change to give us a bigger truck. Ideally we would have liked to start the moving right at 8am, but we didnt until 10am. This was the first time we moved and got caught in the rain. Bummer tracking in all the wet onto the clean hardwood floors in our new place. I guess this is the price of bad weather> we had one broken glass and one broken piece of pottery. Everything else survived. Overall we are satisfied. Final price came in about $250 over original estimation. I would use them again.

Last week my family moved apartments. Although we have moved and stored with Moishes before and had positive experiences, we were blown away by our experience last week. Andre, Pablo, and Dimir showed up right on time, were courteous and respectful, and worked efficiently and carefully. They packed up our entire kitchen, including some very fragile items, and still everything arrived at our new place without a scratch. They were extremely pleasant and easy to work with. They completely took the stress out of moving. My husband and I kept saying to each other how impressed we were by the professionalism of our movers. I highly recommend this moving and storage company. I look forward to using Moishes again when we are ready for our next move.
We just completed our move and we were extremely disappointed in the crew Moishes sent and the service we received. Ive used Moishes over 5 times, and have referred 20+ clients to them. Ive done so as Ive always received stellar service with my items being delivered cleanly and without issues. This time is an exception and I am beyond frustrated as well as certain that Id never use Moishes again after this horrible experience. Theyre now telling us that due to the insurance they have, we would only get $300 back for our $1200+ move... which certainly wont cover the damage that they caused. HORRIBLE customer service.Time: we were the first move of the day, and the crew showed up 35 mins lateCrew: the crew was very slow moving, and was not moving with any sense of timeliness or urgency, to the point where my husband and I were wrapping things in plastic, moving boxes ourselves, and organizing for the crew... even with 3 peopleDamaged Goods: As you can see from the photos attached, many of our goods were damaged including our mattress covered in dirt, our headboard bent and dirty, bottom of our couch was ripped, entire lamp was broken and had to be discarded because it no longer stands up and was covered in dirt. Much of this will need to be replaced or professionally cleaned/fixed. All of our items were pretty new (purchased in last 2-3 years...) and in stellar condition and its unfortunate that this move caused it all to be damaged.Lack of respect to home: the team had zero disregard for our home, our walls, and couldnt figure out how to maneuver furniture through the doors. They damaged almost the entire bottom floor of our house, scraping up walls, damaging corners, even when we tried to help them or propose ways to better move the items. For example, they took the couch and dragged the bottom against the door of one of the entryways even after we cautioned them that they were scratching the walls; photos for examples also attached.
A little over a month ago, I rented a storage space from Moishes Movingand Storage. I was not looking forward to the day of my move because moving is a very stressful experience.The truck was on time. The two men who did an excellent job of loading, driving and unloading ,were polite, considerate and capable.When we got there, Chris was most helpful in showing me the available spaces.The building was well kept. The paper work was very straight forward.I thank everyone at this storage facility for making my move a very pleasant experience.I am getting ready to rent a second space there this monthI know I am in good hands with Moishes Moving and Storage.

I have moved with Moishes three times now and each time, the movers arrived right on time and were extremely helpful. They have extra boxes and are the fastest packers I have ever seen. Everything is packed and unpacked very carefully . They are very professional and stay until you feel you are settled. As someone without easy access to a big car, Moishes free pick-up/delivery service for storage of 3+ months really caught my attention, so I called with a few follow-up questions. I had a very positive experience with communication, Moishes moving is extremely professional and amendable. I had a lot of problems coordinating between my landlords to plan the move in the midst of the pandemic. Moishes Moving and Storage is absolutely THE BEST!!! Ive moved way more times than I can count and they are the best movers Ive ever used! My first experience with Moishes was in late summer of 2015 when they moved an organizing client of mine from their 2 bedroom apt in Brooklyn to their renovated brownstone. Frank was the foreman and he expertly wrapped and packed their furniture and antiques. He was absolutely meticulous!! Another client of mine used them this past December and again they did an excellent job. Finally, Moishes moved me at the end of January 2017 and Frank was the supervisor. A lot of my furniture and china, etc. went into storage. Frank was again meticulous and diligent in making sure that all of my items were packed and wrapped with expert care for storage and then managed to fit them all in my storage unit!! I cant say enough good things about Moishes -- they rock!!!

A move expected to take three hours only took two! The crew that moved me was on time, got us packed up so fast, packed all my furniture and pictures, etc so well and were extremely professional. We moved our stuff to a storage unit and our stuff just barely fit. Frank was amazing! I dont know how he got it all in there, but he organized it so well ensuring it was all stacked safely. We moved our 1BR apt in NYC just recently. Moishes team was excellent on all levels! Great group of guys who were extremely good and cautious at wrapping our furniture and personal things. Nothing got damaged in the move! Guys were very professional and over all very pleasant to deal with. We got a good deal too (much less than Flat rate). We will definitely use them in the future again if need be and would recommend them to anyone.

My moving experience with Moishes was excellent. The estimator was polite, thorough, and responsive. The crew was courteous, efficient, and tireless. They wouldnt even accept food or snacks until the work was done! Importantly, nothing was lost or broken as far as we could tell. Overall, an outstanding experience.
The movers were very fast and were great at adding extra boxes or coverings to items that needed them. The price was very reasonable. My moving job was relatively small, so I only needed two movers, but most companies insisted on setting me up with three. Moishes actually agreed that I only needed two, which was great. They ended up sending four, but only charging the original price, which was the best of both worlds because it made the move so much faster. The office was responsive and faxed over the insurance certificate to my building right away. My only critique is that they got the date wrong at one point and I had to call them to make sure it was fixed. Other than that, good move!
Moishes handled my move from Manhattan to Buffalo. I couldnt have had a better experience. They were extremely professional, careful and efficient. They answered my numerous questions and accommodated last minute changes. Their rates were extremely competitive for top caliber service. I would not trust my furniture with anyone else after seeing how Moishes handled it. They even have an app with photographs of the furniture, and which enables me to track it. I would highly recommend Moishes to anyone.
I rarely write reviews but I would unfair not to. I hate moving but working with Moishe was the BEST/easiest part of my experience. For starters, the customer service was excellent (Thanks Franz Manalo!). I made my moving arrangements pretty late (2 days prior to actual move date - ooops) But Franz was super accommodating and very friendly. Franz was super patient and kind even though I asked a million questions. The price quote was very reasonable and no hidden fees.The day of the move was wonderful also. Someone from dispatch (another friendly contact) called to confirm everything and mentioned that the drivers would try to arrive as early as possible. And true to word, the movers arrived an hour before my scheduled window and they were ready to work! They moved me out of my apartment within the hour (including breaking down my bed). The movers were hard working and efficient.By the second hour, I was in my new apartment with all of my boxes and my bed reassembled. I would definitely use Moishes again for my next move and you should too! :)
I recently used Moishes for the second time for an in town move. Both times they have sent someone out to see all of my belongings and provide an accurate estimate. Both buildings needed very specific COIs and my contact in the office Kat was very helpful providing these quickly and followed up to make sure everything was received. The three gentlemen on moving day were efficient and took great care with all my belongings. The lead mover explained every charge to me before allowing me to sign the final form...even though I was well aware throughout the process what charges would be incurred, he wanted to make sure I knew what each line meant and took the time to explain to me. Not one thing was broken or damaged at all! I highly recommend Moishes for any type of move and will continue to use them in the future!

Nice easy smooth move from my old house to my new apartment after my divorce. I called about a week earlier and asked for a ball park quote which Chris was nice enough to give me. I worked for Moishes in the 80s when he first started the business so I kind of knew what to expect. The crew came early and the move went flawlessly. The packed everything nicely and took care of my stuff like their own. I would highly recommend them. Chris did a follow up call to make sure I was happy with my move.
The Moishes team is awesome! First of all, the customer service representative Naomi was very friendly, attentive, and accomodating when it came to our back and forth communications prior to my move. She gave me great pricing for the list the items I provided for my move. On the day of the move, the moving team of 3 guys came to the location on time and ready to start right away with materials in hand. It took them 2 hours instead of the estimates 3-4 hours to move everything from the old location to the new location. They handled my items delicately and placed everything according to my instructions. Although I do recommend them to wear gloves or perhaps wipes in between the moves so that they dont leave hand prints on some of the fabric items. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be using them in the future!
I had a complicated move both within and from Manhattan with multiple destinations (one destination to a very rural area) and ended up having to change a portion of it to go to storage at the last minute. From start to finish, Moishes handled everything with professionalism and got the job done right. They were responsive, detail-oriented, and took excellent care of my furniture - and even put together an antique bed more skillfully than any movers to date! Its a pleasure to work with people who are competent, take pride in their work, and care for their customers.

Our belongings arrived in the planned delivery window.My husband and I were impressed with the quality service we received by both teams unpacking and packing. Both teams were courteous, methodical and took the time to do a quality job. The packing team were meticulous in packing our items carefully. The unpacking team treated our items with care, were patient and went above and beyond with rebuilding our furniture. The team did not simply unpack our goods, they asked the exact positioning of where we wanted our items placed and on their own initiative lifted instead of dragged items, in order to protect our floors. They also assisted us with our dryer installation, which was tricky as our dryer barely fit into its designated narrow spot.The dispatch office in NY were always readily accessible and called us back promptly if necessary. They were highly patient in giving us updates on the progress of our move, and were quick to come to our home to give us our original quote.I will highly recommend Moishes to our friends and family!

Upon the termination of my last apartment lease, I decided to put my stuff in a (non-Moishes) storage unit and take an extended leave from NYC. I called Moishes within a week of moving day, unfamiliar with their business, and Im so glad I did:Kat Raisky was my consultant. Shes terrific at what she does. Articulate, affable, and able to answer all of the questions I threw at her. And my estimate was within $50 of my final price!The day of my move, my moving team arrived early. These guys worked quickly and efficiently. Valuable items were treated with care, and they wrapped my white fabric sofa completely in plastic wrap. Also, I wanted my items loaded into the storage in a certain order and the team patiently followed my instructions.Moishes took much of the stress out of my move. I recommend them highly.
1000% RECOMMENDED! I moved from Manhattan NYC across the country to San Francisco last summer and had Moishes move me, best AND easiest decision I ever made! Kat was THE BEST at helping me organize and gave me an unbelievable rate. Three men came to my apartment on time, wrapped all of my bigger items up themselves incredibly well, packed the truck up in a very short time. Moishes also held my items in storage for 2 months while I traveled and got situated in SF, then brought everything to my new SF apartment for me on time as they said again. Chris Castro did a great job of setting up the storage advising me of all fees and options and setting up the free pickup of my stuff. Everything went smoothly and as expected. Movers were professional, quick, and efficient. The storage location was clean and well organized. The staff helped me select the right size storage for my belongings once they saw the items and processed the transaction smoothly. Would recommend.

This company has so far been a pleasure to deal with which is a big deal because service can be pretty lacking in Manhattan. My husband and I are in between apartments and needed a place to store our furniture and boxes before we can move to the new place. Found Moishes online and submitted an inquiry through the website. Was promptly contacted by Cris Castro who was very professional and amiable, and explained the rates and process to me. The rates were very reasonable and pickup was free with a minimum 3-month storage period. I ended up changing the date of the pickup which Cris easily helped me with. On the day of the move, we were running late and Jose, the dispatcher, was very professional and easy to deal with and was able to accommodate coming a few hours later. The three man team led by Abetu was again professional and courteous and quickly moved all of our items into the moving van in an hour, much faster than we expected, despite there being two other apartments moving in our building and sharing a freight elevator. We followed the van to the Bronx facility which had run out of 5x10x8 rooms, but they gave us two 5x7 rooms instead without charging more. Again, the gentlemen at the facility were friendly and professional. They even showed us around the warehouse and let us choose our storage units. True to Cris word, there were no hidden charges. Thanks to Moishes crew for making a stressful day go so smoothly. I would recommend this company without hesitation. I only hope when we are ready to move our items to the new apartment it will be again this smooth.
Very good experience with Moishes moving my daughter from one apartment to another. Crew arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. Did a good job packing & wrapping everything, even taking a bed apart. Nothing broken during the move.This was a difficult move with narrow twisting stairs in the first building and long flights of stairs in the second.Price was reasonable and worth every penny.
I wish I could give 0 star. Please do not use this company.I made a reservation for their pick up service and storage but did not show up without any notification and then when I called them, the staff was so rude and even lying to me and kept changing the time windows but movers never showed up after all. Next day, I called them to reschedule the pick up, which was my mistake at this point. I should have just gone for other storages, but I gave them a benefit of doubt and scheduled for a pick up again. Guess what happened? They never showed up again without any notification! And when we called them, they said the movers were not available without any explanation. I honestly do not understand whats the deal here. What are they trying to get out of this? Just trying to screw people over for fun ? Please do not use their services. You will regret it.
I had a great experience with Moishes! I needed furniture moved into storage ASAP and they made it so easy. The move and unit were booked within hours of contact them and they had a crew there the next day. They guys were professional, efficient and a joy to work with. Id absolutely recommend them!

Highly recommended - Moishes recently moved me from an apartment in Hoboken to my current residence in Jersey City. They could not have been more helpful! Arranging for the move was quick and easy - prior to moving I spoke to Mike Muccino at Moishes who helped me plan for everything. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through everything. I also followed up with him later as my moving date had changed and they accommodated this easily with no issues or extra charges. The move itself was great, they estimated 3 hours and it was done in that time even with moving some of the furniture up two flights. The movers were efficient, friendly and careful with all of my belongings. Bottom line - I would use these guys for any move!

Movers were fast and efficient. They moved my furniture out of a storage unit into my new apartment and unloaded a car full of boxes all under the 4 hour minimum so I only had to pay the minimum amount for the move. Everyone wore masks and followed safety protocols.

Moishes did a great job moving me in October 2016. Their efficient planning and prep made the move much less stressful for me. I couldnt believe their team could pack and move my entire apartment in one day. The move coordinator was accessible ad flexible, the movers were considerate and worked very well together, and my belongings were safely in my new home by 5 pm. I heartily recommend them!

I recently moved to Stamford from Jersey City to Stamford. The whole experience was excellent. Inquired via website and got a very friendly call from Cynthia soon after. An appointment for an estimate was arranged and Tom provided a very thorough, professional and friendly summary. My date and times were booked. Given the various closures during this pandemic I did ask them to re-confirm a couple times given my anxiety. They understood and always reassured me. The move occurred without a hitch. Eddie was the crew-chief that day and he and his team arrived actually a couple of minutes early. Everything was wrapped up nicely, including many pictures and paintings that were hung. Was a bit of walk and push to the truck. Loaded faster than I expected. The truck met me in Stamford and the team unloaded everything and got the stuff in my apartment just as smoothly and efficiently as the front end went. The Stamford apartment has a loft plus a large storage closet off the loft. I asked for the majority of the boxes to go upstairs. The desk went upstairs as well. Many items bulky and heavy. No problem! I have since unpacked all the pictures and paintings and all in perfect shape. So thank you to Eddie and his team. Extremely satisfied with the move and will not hesitate to call and utilize Moishes again!

Great moving company I must say. We were referred by a couple who just used their service in the city. We got a quote from the estimator who arrived on time to our apt and the quote was fair and inexpensive. They even gave us some free boxes and tapes for packing.The movers showed up on time for the move and they were really fast and efficient even though we lived in a 3rd-floor walk-up. The movers were all very polite and professional unlike some shady moving companies.Overall, the move was smooth, fast and nothing was damaged or missing. I would highly recommend their service to everyone!
I called this company because of their online reputation. My experience with them was simply terrible!I spoke with Rand who was pleasant and helpful. After going through the details of a 4 part move he quoted a fair price, told me I would need 4 men and that it would take place 8 days later. When I got the emailed contract to sign, there was an error so I emailed him back for clarification. I heard nothing back the entire day. I emailed again on the morning of the second day. Nothing. I emailed a third time later that day. Silence. That evening I called and left a message for him to call me back. The next morning I still had not heard from anyone. I called again and was put in touch with Rand who apologized profusely and explained that he had a family emergency (When I have a family emergency I make it my business to have someone cover for me, take and answer my calls and emails, etc) but was ready to finalize the reservation. The computer did not accept the reservation which puzzled him. He investigated and called me back 15 minutes later to inform me that not only was the day agreed upon no longer available (I am a physician and I canceled an entire day of patients to take care of this move) but that now the move, magically, was going to take 2 days instead of the agreed upon 1 day that appeared in the contract.I ask to have the manager call me which he did. As I was with a patient he left a message. I called him back 30 min later and left a message. Nothing. I called later that day. Still nothing. I emailed Rand to let him know that The manager was not calling me back. The next day I called the supervisor a third time. That was 8 hours ago and he has still not called me back.This is the very first time in my life I have written a review like this. To say I am angry and frustrated is an understatement. The lack of care and respect for a customer that Moshes Movers has is quite astonishing.I would recommend against using these folks.

We recently moved from NY to CT, a large move involving fragile items such as computers, artwork, and a piano. Marvin and his crew from Moishe’s did a fantastic job.The basics: 1) they showed up on time 2) they were all business in the best sense, working fast and efficiently 3) they were friendly and easy to work with, which is important in a move lasting a good part of the day 4) they helped pack items we didnt have boxes for 5) they expertly loaded a very large number of items in their truck for transport and safe unloading 6) unpacked, not a single item was damaged 7) their prices were reasonable.I honestly can’t imagine a better experience. I moved this past Saturday afternoon (April 29, 2017), and it was a great experience. The team of Luis, Cassius and Jose were outstanding. They arrived early, and while I know this is a function of the early morning job getting done quickly and regular NYC traffic, it was already off to a good start.The three of them were organized, worked extremely quickly, efficiently and carefully, and were great to work with overall. EXCEPTIONAL! My wife and I used Moishes this past weekend (for a suburb move) and they were incredible! Quick, careful, courteous, professional (inset all positive adjectives you can think of). They made our move completely stress free, assisting with packing our loose items in wardrobe boxes for ease. They really did a great job! Highly recommend!

Everyone, from the customer service over the phone to guy who came to my apartment to quote me a price to the movers themselves were great. Moishes Moving and Storage!!! What an amazingly reliable company. I have needed to move 3 times this year within Manhattan due to work changes. Moishes provided insurance faxes to the buildings Ive moved to. They were very flexible with their time. On one ocasdion they were able to move me on short notice. I have some of my furniture in their storage facility. During one of my moves they needed to move about half my furniture to my new apartment here in the city. They automatically moved my remaining furniture to a smaller storage unit, which cost me considerably less money. Speaking of money, their prices are the best. I know. Ive called many movers. Although they are a big company, they treat you like they are a small company that really pays attention to details. Nothing was broken or damaged during all 3 moves. If you want great customer service at a great price, I highly recommend them.
I have used Moishes now for 4 moves in the last few years. These included moves to temporary housing while I was renovating and storage of items for an extended period of time. I have had awful experiences with other companies in the past, but Moishes has been outstanding. They stood by their price, the movers were a pleasure to deal with and they damaged nothing. I have recommended to friends as well who have been pleased. Also, I feel their prices (although not the cheapest) are very reasonable--and I have definitely saved in the long run by preventing bad experiences with inferior companies.
Jim was wondering to book with. Patient, thorough and service-oriented. On moving day, Benny and his team were awesome. The most professional and efficient movers I have ever used. They wrapped and handled our items with care that went above our expectations and so far the storage facility has been great. Clean, well-lit, and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Our move date was this past Friday, October 21st. Moishes Moving and Storage did an excellent job all around; from the personable Carlos Diaz, to the movers themselves. They kept in constant contact with my boyfriend and myself. They were right on time and took great care of our items (it was raining that day). They carefully wrapped every single item and ensured it got to the new home safely and intact. They were polite and social. The move was done pretty quickly too I might add. From start to finish Moishes made my moving stress free. Moe and his team were wonderful. Nothing broken or lost unlike my previous move. Ronnie gave me an accurate estimate and there were no unexpected charges again unlike my last move. Moishes price came in slightly below the competition but the comparison prices left out many of my items so I know there would have been extra charges. From now on Moishes is the only company I will deal with.

Have used Moishes many times. Unlike other NYC movers they are straightforward and honest. Their quotes are accurate and they do the job efficiently and effectively. I was in the hospital with a sudden serious medical situation on the day of my move. My wife had to step in and oversee the process. No problems at all. This is why I go back to Moishes. There is often anxiety associated with moving and even though my job was small, it was in Manhattan which has its own set of complications. Things, however, went very very smoothly. The lady in the office, Kat, was very knowledgeable and highly professional and I was amazed at how quickly the paperwork, including the required insurance documents, got taken care of. The gentlemen who did the move were highly competent, and demonstrated concern not only for the items that they moved but for the people involved. I highly recommend this company. I will certainly turn to them again in the future should I require the services of a mover.
Moiches Moving NYC is a company that you can trust at a very stressful time in your life. They are attentive with immediate responses. Their movers are courteous and professional. I used them to move into my apartment and then to move out. The second move was across three states and I was not present. Highly recommend them.

I use Moishes several times to move out and also to move some stuff in a storage.Never had any problem, they have all material to be efficient and follow the instructions.They know their jobs well and provide good advice. They wrap everything (mattress, furniture) to avoid any damage.I never used another so I can not compare but I always be happy with them.

Overall, we had a very good experience with Moishes. The movers came on time, they packed up well (a couple of broken dishes notwithstanding), and did great with disassembling and reassembling furniture. We got quotes from three movers and Moishes was the most expensive, but they were also the most flexible with timing. In the end we had a very tight window for moving and Moishes was able to make it work.

I am really happy with Moishes Moving. When I called, I spoke to a friendly sales consultant named Kat who was able to arrange (on short notice) to have Joe come to do an in-home estimate. Completely not related to moving, but Kat is really fun on the phone and gave me a great gift idea while we talked. Joe was prompt and very detailed during the walk-through and took time to answer all my questions. Joe emailed me a flat rate estimate that same night and we were very impressed by how competitive the price was. I received two other in-person estimates and Moishes was the most compelling combination of price and service.The moving crew was also prompt (they actually got to our place about 20 minutes early) and very efficient moving our boxes and disassembling our furniture. The foreman, Aman, was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating when we had some last minute items that we couldnt fit in our car. Aman and I did a final walk-through before the truck left to make sure they got everything. When they arrived at our new place, the crew worked very efficiently to get the truck unpacked. They also made sure that all our boxes were stacked neatly in the rooms we requested in addition to reassembling and arranging our furniture. Finally, Aman and I did a last walk-through to see if we wanted anything rearranged or missed anything.I am very happy to recommend Moishes Moving.
I used Moishes Moving for moving from a 5th floor walk up Hoboken to a 3rd floor walk up in Astoria. I was moving my bedroom furniture (2 dressers, TV, nightstand, mattress) along with 12-15 boxes of clothes/miscellaneous items. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The 3 movers showed up on time, they were very friendly, and they were efficient workers. There was not any damage to any of the furniture, as they wrap all of the big pieces in blankets and tape. The job itself took about 2.5-3 hours and they do not charge for mileage/tolls/etc. I will definitely be using Moishes for my moving needs in the future.Lastly, when booking your move, ask for Cris Castro. He was very helpful with booking the moving date, details, etc. He took the time to explain everything and was able to answer all of my questions.
Awesome experience! On moving day, 6 guys and 2 trucks from Moishes showed up on time, and didnt stop until the job was finished. They operated like a well-oiled machine. They were highly professional and took care of everything. I highly recommend them without hesitation. In fact, I have already referred a couple of friends to them.
DO NOT HIRE!!!I booked Moishe because of the online reviews, but they damaged nearly every large item during my move, showed extreme carelessness and lack of professionalism. A large chuck of my dining room table was chipped and attempted to be glued back on without my knowledge of the issue, my entry table was not properly wrapped and each corner chipped as a result, table legs not meant to be removed were forced off and ruined the table and the drawer on my daughters crib was also forced off ripping the screws from the drawer! I am extremely disappointed with my service, will not be hiring again, and recommend you look elsewhere!UPDATE: I moved in January and am STILL waiting on receiving appropriate claims from the damages ... its June!
Dont call anyone else! Total pros, and worth every penny.Weve used Moishes in the past and always been very happy. Last year we made the mistake of booking another company and ended up regretting it deeply, so we went with Moishes again this year and are so glad we did. They moved our kid from the upper east side of Manhattan to Bushwick in just under 3 hours on a hot Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago and did a fantastic job. The crew (Eddy, Carlos, and Juan) were superhuman: undaunted by awkward furniture, narrow hallways, and walk-ups. And they were all really nice, too. Nico at the office was also great to deal with. Ive used Moishes twice in the past with excellent results, but this last move was a disappointment. The movers came at the very end of the hour window for arrival and the crew foreman told us it was supposed to be his day off and that he had been called in at 7am that morning, which to me was both unfair to him and also evidence of some internal management problem. The movers were polite and definitely hustled, but they were careless with my belongings and broke the glass shade on a lamp that was packed in a box and labeled FRAGILE on multiple sides, they also chipped the top of my glass-topped media cabinet, which I didnt notice until I was unpacking and there were pieces of broken glass on my floor. Candles and jars that were also packed in boxes that were labeled GLASS and FRAGILE were also broken. On a positive note, the person who coordinated my move, Brittney Collins, was and has been very helpful throughout the process, including with filing a claim for me. Ive had great experiences with Moishes in the past; Im not sure what happened this time.
Moishes movers have been a delight to work with from the start, they were very communicative throughout the entire process and were accommodating with our ever changing issues due to our condo apartment. Very understanding and thorough, Kat in particular was very accessible and assuring and provided us with all relevant information we needed to discuss with our building.

Moishes did a fine job from the day they came and picked up our furniture and many boxes through the three months in their storage and finally the delivery to our new apartment. Everything was done as agreed for the price agreed and we had zero damage. I will definitely recommend them and will use then again myself .
I had an amazing moving experience with these guys. 2 movers showed up 5 minutes early, broke down all my furniture and packed within an hour or less. Hard working, easy to work with, and made my move effortless. I was so nervous to move and they made it a breeze. I didnt have to worry about anything at all! 2022-06-01We had an excellent experience with Moishes. The communication for scheduling was great, they had someone come out to do an estimate which was very helpful. And the team of movers who came out where all so nice. They handled all of our belongings with great care, and moved a sofa in a way I didnt think was possible. This is my second time using this service, and we will definitely use them again in the future.

2021-12-21Do not use this company! They are super unprofessional. I paid for them to pack all my entire apartment including all my furniture, several TVs, art work and other valuable. I stored it at their facility for over a year and paid for highest value of insurance. I hired them to move my items across the country but when I finally got my items (after delays and miscommunications by the company), they broke and damaged most of my items. They even transported some of my items on the outside of a truck!!! Drivers demanded cash and threatened to drive away if I didn’t pay. Two flat screen TVs were ruined, my stearns and foster mattress set looked like it had been dragged in the mud, all my lamps were smashed, my west elm furniture was missing parts or badly damaged. Also, a ton of my art and fragile decor was in pieces and smashed. Now they won’t take responsibility for their gross incompetence and the company only wants to give me pennies on the dollar for over $20k of damages which was a low estimate to begin with and can’t replace all the one of a kind art work that they destroyed. If I could give them negative stars, I would!!! Please save yourself the headache and use someone else.

2022-04-30Moishe’s was absolutely amazing. From the moment our movers walked in they were incredibly professional and my husband and I immediately felt at ease. All day we were commenting to each other about how awesome they were. They did an impeccable job and worked super hard all day long, all while not damaging either apartment or our belongings. We really couldn’t have done this without them. On top of that, they were great guys and we really enjoyed their company. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Highly recommend and be ready to tip these guys well because they deserve it!

2022-03-02This is the second time I’ve used Moishe’s, and they’re great. The person who helped book everything, Cynthia C. Is helpful, responsive and gives great guidance on what to expect in pricing. Their prices are great, and estimates are accurate. They also have an efficient system of dispatchers who are constantly in touch with paperwork and next steps.The teams who helped the loading were excellent too - Andre V. the team leader for the packing part was polite, efficient, organized and a really nice guy. I would recommend Moishe’s to anyone worrying about a long distance move

2022-01-26Everything went smoothly, which all you really want when you move. The experience from start to end was great. The in-home estimate representative was awesome and gave me a great quote. The day of the move, the movers were quick and efficient. They delivered my items to the new place with no hassle or fuss. Would recommend and use them again for any future moves.

Everything was impeccable!They reached out to me right after I applied online, explained everything in details, made an excellent offer and guided me all the way through the process.The pick-up service showed up on time, despite the national holiday; they were professional, kind and courteous (major tip worthy!).I havent had a chance to check the storage location itself yet, but so far the service was outstanding and I would definitely recommend it!These guys make your life so much easier!

2022-06-29The movers were professional and careful but they’re very pricey. $1600 to move a 825 sq ft one bedroom + small den to another apartment WITHIN THE SAME ELEVATOR BUILDING. The furniture wasn’t loaded into a truck and moved across town, unloaded, put into another elevator and up to another apartment. It was put in an elevator and moved four floors. If we were moving across town I would find this a reasonable amount to pay. They send out someone to assess and quote. We were surprised by the price quote. Five guys showed up to move. Three would have been plenty. They were done in an hour and fifteen minutes. Next time will shop around for better pricing. Can’t imagine what they charge if you’re moving out of a building

2022-05-17This was as painless as it could have been. Not a particularly complex move, but involved moving a lot of boxes both within my building to internal storage, including an antique bed that had to be disassembled, as well as moving other cartons (many many cartons) into off site storage at their facility. Job foreman Eric Banks and his team were professional helpful, informed and so courteous. One complaint (and not the moving guys fault): the sign out and payment was onerous, involving many many manual signatures and credit card info multiple times- and then again on the foremans phone! They need to streamline this process. Otherwise, high marks and particularly to the moving crew.

2022-04-06I hired Moishes for a local move of a three bedroom house and I’m very happy with the service I received. The team took good care of my items and they were friendly, professional and efficient. I also rescheduled my move date several times, with advance notice, and they were happy to accommodate the change. Overall, I’m a happy customer and would recommend them to others.

2022-07-08Recently used Moishes for my long distance move. They did the pick up and packing for me from JC. From the very beginning Moishes was very easy to deal with, responsive and one of the best prices I received. They come out and assess what you have to give you the most accurate price. The 4 guys that came out were professional, very hard working and lovely. There were no hidden charges or extras added. I would definitely recommend them.
