I cant say enough about Moishes services. Rhe team arrived 10 minutes before scheduled. The three gentlemen that worked with me all day were not only polite but handled all of my items with care. Theyre wrapped everything in cardbaord, plastic Wrap and moving blankets. There wasnt a thing I requested that went undone. Unfortunately, the Friday before I was scheduled to move with another company and had to ask them to leave after they dropped my nightstand through the landing wall. These three gentlemen were professionals! I highly recommend Moishes.
Avoid at ALL costsI was misquoted and ended up getting charged an additional $700 when it should of been free pick up.I itemised my items when I booked my appointment and was impressed at the price so booked. Upon arrival I was told that my items would not fit in the allocated space and because I needed a larger unit free pick up was now not included - it would cost $169 per hour with a 3 hour minimum. I was forced to accept this as I had a flight to catch, I had no other option and find the head office to be unhelpful.None of this was mentioned at the time of booking, if I had known this I would of used an inclusive service from someone else.Ive not yet had my itemised bill to explain the charges but $760 is pending on my card. They started packing the items at 12pm, left my apartment at 1.45pm, and were enroute to the storage unit (google estimated time was 22minutes). I would expect to be within the 3 hour limit. However I went out to find the van parked in Hells Kitchen at 2pm - if I am charged for this time im furiously disputing these charges.The packing staff however were very good, this is not a reflection on their service.Its a deceptive company. That picks on people during a typically stressful event and more so in the current environmentPlease do not use!
They called the day before to confirm and gave me an idea of when they would expect to arrive. They showed up as expected and were efficient at wrapping my non-box items and bringing everything down my 4th floor walk-up. My platform bed had to be disassembled since it wouldnt make it down the stairs, but they both disassembled and reassembled in a fast pattern. From others Ive been told to just make sure your inventory listing is accurate before they arrive, and that all things are packed. I did this and didnt have any issues at all.
I used Moishes for packing/moving/unpacking. They expertly handled everything from start to finish. I moved at 9 months pregnant, so it was critical that I could rely on the team. They handled the move quickly, intelligently, and were gracious and friendly along the way.Highly recommend!
I had a very positive experience. Stress free. My belongings were well packed. The team worked efficiently, were polite, and responded to my request to treat certain items with extra care. Everything made it safely without damage to my new home. Highly recommend.
With the exception that the crew arrived 1hr and 45mins late, could be that it was a rainy day or the fact that it was in Manhattan, everything else about the move went smoothly. The crew were well mannered and took care to protect all the items. In the end they did finish within the allotted time frame, which was amazing. All in all, Im happy with the move and Moishes moving and would definitely recommend them.SF
I used Moishe while I was 6 months pregnant and moved to a two bedroom apartment. They quoted me a price, promised me that they would help remove all picture railing/a simple wall shelf for me and help me pack that. So, I paid the higher price but when the moving guys were in my old apartment, the head of the team said no, they would not remove anything on the wall even tho the quote said so. I was PREGNANT AND HAD TO CLIMB UP THE WALL AND UNDRILLLED the picture ledge myself with NO HELP WHATSOEVER. I was very disappointed in this company service. NEVER AGAIN TO HIRE MOISHE!!!!! Heartless service people!!!!
Moishes provided professional, timely & thorough service to relocate my non-profit organizations headquarters of 20 years to 2 separate locations. Everyone from the sales person to the foreman to the moving staff were hard-working and helpful throughout the two-day move that made it much less stressful for our organizations staff.
Highly recommend this company for moving! The movers came ready to work, were very careful with all our items. Not at all lazy!They put all the boxes in the right rooms, on the right floors.Good Luck with your move!
They showed up on time to both remove things from one apartment and then the next month to deliver it to another apartment - which basically all that was needed.That said, they started out of the gate on day one with different rates than agreed to and I had to go back and forth with the booking agent. They then did not confirm receipt at the warehouse and could not locate or confirm the location of all my possessions for several days, which you can imagine quite frustrating. And on the tail end of delivering to my new apartment, there were a number of items missing which they were not very co-operative in retrieving to the point of me giving up.All in all, I would not recommend their service.
Moishes is a tad more expensive than competitor quotes, but they ultimately proved to be worth the money. They were timely (ahead of schedule), efficient and professional throughout the moving process. The staff was transparent about pricing throughout the process as well.
Over 10, my wife and I have moved in NYC 5 times. We have used Moische’s in the past as well as other movers, and have always seen Moische’s as the best.Now, we just moved into a house in Westchester and used Moische’s - truly terrific service, couldn’t be happier.1) Our first time where a specialist needed to come to our house first in order to quote as we now have much more stuff (baby, etc)2) Isaac - very good, efficient in quoting and understanding both how long the move will take and the number of boxes, etc neededACTUAL MOVERS3) Ask for Moroccan Moe and his team. From the first minute it was clear they are professional and have moved countless of times working together. The team all follows and respects Moe, who in turn respects his clients, and ensures all furniture is properly handled.4) I’ve heard horror stories from friends about Moische’s - we’ve simply never had an issue, and mind you this is moving a 1,300sq ft apt to Westchester in 1 day, on July 31st - only the busiest moving day in the year.5) Do yourself a favor, ask for Moische’s and then prior to your move, call in and try to get Moroccan Moe and his team - you will be VERY HAPPY
I wanted to take a quick moment to thank Moishes. Moving is painful. Everyone talks about it all the time, especially in New York city. No exception here leading into Saturday morning (7/28) when i had a team of yours move me, a few block across the village in Manhattan. Ive moved 3 times now in 10 years in the city with Moishies. The lead into this one had me the most nervous for some reason.The word that best summarizes up your team, is exceptional. Truly exceptional.Isaac, started the process a month before with the review of items, organized everything. Jamie was the lead guy on Saturday morning. I didnt catch all the other guys names, there were 3 others, things flew by and I missed them. They showed up 30 mins early, and got the job done so well in 3+ hours. 3 flights of stairs down. 4 flights up the other end. A serious process. Done so smoothly and professionally.I paid in cash and tipped them well in cash. I hope my thanks make it through, via this email, to Isaac, Jamie, the other 3 gentlemen from Saturdays move.Kind Regards
I asked Moishes to help my moving to Manhattan and they did a fantastic job! The guy named Zhargal and another guy helped me unloading my stuff from Brooklyn and then moved to my new apartment. Very efficient! I will definitely recommend Moishes to all of my friends.
Used Moishe twice in two weeks, once from New Jersey to New York City, again to Eastern Long Island. Both moves went smoothly -- crews were industrious and polite. Prices came in right on estimates. Logistics of the setups likewise handled efficiently.

Guys were amazing! They were neat, efficient and pleasant!! My furniture arrived safely. They placed items where I asked and were able to put an elliptical machine in a very awkward place. It was an amazing feat!!!

Movers were great- efficient, friendly and professional. The only drawback was that the foreman left with our keys and no word was heard back from the office despite several messages left to get them back.

2018-03-17Lets start by saying I had a huge move. So I shopped around. Most moving companies said they can fit it all into one tractor trailer and it would cost 10,000, - 12,000. Dollars. Well all those moving companies would have raped me because we had close to TWO tractor trailers full. Moishes Movers said 3 smaller trucks, and a forth on stand by. They were correct. They worked within my budget and helped pack everything that I didnt have time to pack. Also they warped all the furniture and loaded for over 10 hours. 4 smaller trucks. They brought tape dollies blankets stretch wrap and did not spare useing them. The guy loading the truck was amazing. He filled every inch of those trucks. Ive had to load trucks before it was my job because I can tell what size space you have and what box will fit into that space. I felt that my money was well spent. 8-10 guys moving for 2 days straight 4 trucks and over a 200 miles move. Their was some breakage but only very minor stuff. And mostly stuff that was press board built. And 3 wine glasses that were not packed correctly. Please listen to me! Their are companies that you can trust with your move and ones that will rape you. Do your home work and pick Moishes Movers. Their the best.

2018-05-18We used Moishes to move belongings into a storage facility. They provided a competitive quote and flexibility on the day and time. The rep explained the process and provided an understanding of how price can be more or less depending on the date.They arrived on time and completed the move slightly under the estimated time. We plan to use Moishes again when ready to move out of storage into the our new home.

2018-03-09Marville and his team were absolutely great! They were on time, professional and very hard workers. They braved a nor’easter in order to deliver on time and unloaded into a 4 story townhouse quickly, efficiently and carefully. They did a beautiful job packing kitchen, closets, clothes and furniture. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they were very careful not to damage any walls, floors, etc at the old address and the new. It was fairly priced by Ronnie and Costa and professionally and efficiently estimated in a quick and efficient manner. This is the third time I am using Moishe’s and I would definitely recommend them as a moving company.

2021-11-01Homie working the facility was super late waited outside for a while. Didnt apologize for being late AF. Theres literally no signs outside tell you the hours of operations. Even when you call the Call Center they also had the hours incorrect. Its a fixable problem, just do better guys. Seriously!!!

2018-09-26I have used Moishes for multiple moves now, and have been so pleased on each occasion. From start to finish, the service is prompt and professional. They are happy and able to answer any questions, and always work fast, efficiently and respectfully. I keep going back to them and recommending them because they do such an excellent job time and time again. I couldnt speak higher and would recommend them to anyone!

2017-12-14The Moishe’s moving crew was spot on. They showed up 10 minutes early (as in wow! That is a good thing!), were totally prepared and careful with my furniture. Wrapped fragile framed artwork and disassembled furniture. They were spot on. I also requested a second stop to drop some belongings (a huge plant) at the thrift store down the street. The moving guys were totally accommodating.The office folks were also great in coordinating and communication before the move.

2019-03-24Kat is a pleasure to work with. I made a last minute call for moving services having been stood up by a sketchy albeit cheaper moving company for bigger business ; I was moving a studio’s worth of stuff, I called Moishe’s and they handled everything in a pinch. Kat was wonderful, explained everything at great length and the movers were on time, professional and handled my move swiftly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

2019-03-29Make sure your storage price in guaranteed in writing! They will constantly increase the price on you and before you know it youll be paying double the original amount.I had on storage until there that started at around $100 a month and in a few shorts years it had more than doubled in price. I had had another storage unit recently that started off at around $75/month and within 4 months they raised it to $100 citing increased operating costs. Increased costs? How could their operating costs increase by 25% in 4 months?Their staff are friendly and profession though and I cant fault them for the pricing and policy issues but all anyone really wants from a storage unit is a fair & predictable price along with a decent location. There are lot of better options in BK for that.And watch out for their insane late fees!If you pay a minute late they charge insane fees. In one case they charged me a $48 late fee when the credit card number I had on file changed. When I explained that the CC number had changed due to a security alert they did not offer a reduced late fee despite the fact that I had been storing there for over a decade.I moved my units to Safeguard Storage in Brooklyn, on Empire Blvd where they have better deals overall, cleaner facilities, and dont charge insulting late fees.The same goes for Moishes movers but although Id give them 4 stars for service. They are quite good but theyre no longer a good deal financially. Just like their storage facilities they started out as a deal but are now one of the more expensive movers in the city. Are they good though? Yes, they are good but you can get the same service with an insured movers for far less in NYC and BK.

2019-08-21After 20 years of working with Moishe’s Moving and their Self Storage facility in Long Island City, I can attest that that they are THE most efficient and customer care oriented in this business. There is always complete transparency backed up by their word. They do what they say and are always available to help when moving we all know is one of the three strongest stressors in our lives.My clients, my family and myself can depend on them. Dino,and his staff,at their self storage pride themselves on keeping the facility clean and safe for ourselves and our possessions . Everything comes down to the integrity of any business. Other companies should take lessons from Moishes.

2018-08-29Moishe’s moved me on one of the busiest and hottest days of the summer, right before the Labor Day weekend. The moving crew were very professional and worked incredibly hard despite the appalling temperature. They did a great job, really. I was glad I took the “binding price” option for the quote because due to unforeseen circumstances the moves took longer than anticipated. The whole process was about as painless as something so stressful and disruptive can be.
