Usually impressed with their food but they are notorious for not compensating for mistakes. I ordered a sub that comes with black olives but asked for no black olives. Picked up subs, drove home sat down to eat with the fam and mine had black olives. Called them, they said I had to return the messed up sub and they’d make me another BUT it would take another 25 minutes and I had to drive back. I said ok is there something you guys can do for me for the inconvenience? She asked me to hold came back and told me she could make me the right sub, you know the one I ordered and paid for already and I had to return the other sub. LOL. That’s not really doing something for me. I went back 25 minutes later to get my correct sub and pressed that it even says no black olives on my order and it was a little ridiculous they wouldn’t do anything and took the other sub back. They ended giving me a $5 credit on my account. I’m glad they did that but I shouldn’t have to push multiple times and waste my time going back and forth as well as wait another 25 minutes. $5 is not worth it to me. Yes it’s better then nothing but not a good customer service experience at all. Mistakes happen, I get it. I’m not mad. Just disappointed in how it was handled. Everyone was polite enough. I’m glad they weren’t rude about it.
Was fiending for steak subs as I usually am and a buddy brought me steak subs from.this place. The size of the subs were good and the sauce that was put on the side was decent, though it tasted more like a sauce one would put on a pasta or the base of a white pizza. The cheese was barely present, but the absolute worst part about this sub was the meat! Ive never had someone make me a steak hoagie where they didnt actually chop the steak and sausage up into small pieces. The sausage were cut into half circles which is too big for a hoagie. The steak meat itself wasnt chopped, they just kinda laid it on horizontally. The steak also didnt seem seasoned. Im not sure if this is how the Hoagies there are usually made or if just that person made them that way. However it wasnt a great experience for 40$.
Im done.New ReviewI figured I would add to my original post, I didnt want to say anything bad but I just I just cant help myself.I decided to go back and give them another chance, I ordered 10 fingers with fries and garlic bread with cheese. My daughter goes and picks up the food and when I open the bag all I have is cold garlic bread and french fries. They never made the chicken fingers. I called them up and said I could either wait another half hour for fingers or they would credit my account. I told them I want to eat my food together so they can remake the entire order which they agreed. Now its almost 9:00 at night and I still havent eaten, waiting for food to get here. Not even an apology, so disgusted. Now Im really done!
Friendly service. A little more expensive than youd expect, but the portions are generous. While the name is fancy, its really just a Pizza Hut that wants to be an Italian restaurant. Cook is limited, and does not allow changes from menu (e.g. cant get salad with onions, you can get Chargrilled Wings from the Pit, but inexplicably there cant do the same for chicken fingers).
Food is so good. It’s a shame their take out situation doesn’t make any sense. Tried to order take out from them. Asked first to make sure. And was told we could order anything on the menu for take out. Then told no to chicken parm, no to gnocchi and no to eggplant options only to learn that on some days they only offer spaghetti and rigatoni for take out. Disappointing and doesn’t make much sense. It’s a shame because the food is really good
I always loved their pizza. however, the pizza I just bought was thin and soggy in the center and looked under baked. I asked for a few green olives but it was drowned in olives. I will take off some olives and try baking it to dry up center.Pizzas are expensive and need to be good.
Molinaro’s is usually one of our go to places when we decide we’re going to eat out. Food for the most part is always good. Unfortunately they screwed up my order the last two times I’ve ordered and this last time I had missing food and two burnt chicken Parms with no sauce. I called the restaurant and told them I was disappointed with the quality of our food and actually surprised they would send food out to my house like that. I would’ve them rather fixed it and it have taken another 20 minutes to get to us instead of sending me sub par food like that. The girl did apologize and said they were very busy and offered a replacement or a credit back. I opted for the credit since I didn’t want to wait another hour at least to get a replacement. It’s been almost a week still no credit on my account. Not sure if they’re too busy and starting to lose food quality or not enough help but I unfortunately may have to start looking for other options when choosing who to give my business to when eating out.
We ordered a substantial amount of food and it never showed. We waited over an hour before we called and when we did, the phone was never picked up. Horrible service considering they accepted our order, had our payment, and gave us a time it would be delivered. As a first time customer, I would not order again.
Their Pizza is so freaking good! I dont even like sweet sauce but I love love love love their semi-sweet sauce which is actually pretty sweet but it fits so well with their Pizza and the cup-char pepperoni. So good. They have a bakery in there and little gifts and knick knacks that you can buy. Super cute, really really good food, the employees have always been nice. If you dont enjoy their food then I would have to say its you not them! LOL
Stopped after hiking and saw they had calzones on the menu, my favorite. It was huge and delicious. Hubby had the Royal sub which also was huge and made slightly different than other places which made it awesome. He loved it. My daughter had the pizza which she loves. But the best part was the goodie case. I could not believe the size of the napoleon, it was so GOOD. They also got goodies to take home. Will definitely stop again.
I never order food. On my birthday as a treat I decided to order out for my daughter and I. I order Medium wings and they give my hot wings and the cheese is coming off the pizza. Fine whatever about the pizza. I call up and tell them about it and they say they will get me me on my next order. Are you kidding me WHY on Earth would I ever order from you again if you couldnt get my first order right?!! Thanks for stressing me out on my Birthday.
Would like for management to reach out please. Just tried calling over 100 times and nothing (proof in photo). Completely disgusted at the quality of food I just wasted money on. Plus I dont live in the area, drove half an hour there, picked up order and drove half an hour home only to find pizza AND garlic bread twists were burnt.
Ordered 2 steak and cheese subs a year ago we had to wait and hour and a half and the rolls were burnt black and non edible. They apologized and gave me a $20 credit. Yesterday I ordered a cheese and pepperoni pie and picked it up. It was barely baked and had zero flavoring! That is the end of me ordering from Molinarios.
Ordered a large white pizza last night. It was bar none, the worst white pizza i ever had(that includes frozen)! Seemed as if a child krafted the pizza. This place is the munsters meets the addams family of the pizza business.Go to tops/walmart buy a frozen one. It will taste much better and far cheaper.
This has been my #1 go to place for pizza, wings, and subs. I think the food is great. However, I am very concerned lately with quality. Ive found hair in my subs. Ive found they put sliced meat on my subs but didnt remove the darn plastic wrapping! Yes, it was plastic! I ask for extra oil and I get a dry sub. WTH is going on over there??!?!?! I fear theyve have stumbled into we dont have to try anymore territory and that is recipe for failure. Hopefully management will turn it around.
The food is amazing and unfortunately it stops there.. The past few weeks Ive been trying to call and order for delivery due to having a back surgery. The phone was either busy or it kept ringing until it asked me to put in some code? So tonight (07-21-2021) I wanted to get some food delivered. Someone actually answered and asked if I could wait on hold. I waited 14 minutes and then I was hung up on. I kept trying and the phone was answered but I didnt hear anyone and then they hung up on me.. If this happened once in awhile I wouldnt be so upset about it but it seems to be the norm unfortunately. Yall just gave more business to pizza oven.. PLEASE FIX THIS
This place has great Italian dishes, really good wings. Their pizzas are incredible. Giant slices! Fresh ingredients! Choice of sweet sauce, meat sauce or traditional! Definitely worth trying. We try to order from there at least once a month. Its a great place to dine in as well.
Called and ordered a pepperoni pizza with sweet sauce at 4, was told within the hour for delivery. 520pm I get a phone call asking if my food was delivered I tell them no, they said oh the ticket didn’t print and will make it now. So I wait another 35 minutes. Pizza gets delivered only cheese. I call back and the lady tells me to not get ignorant with her on the phone when I’ve been waiting damn well over my promise time of 456 pm for my food, for her to tell me they will make another pizza and send it out! WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN!
We eat at molinaros frequently and usually don’t have any problems. I place an order at 5:00 for a 7:00 pick up tonight for a sub, a salad and 1 order of fries and I sit there until 7:35 only to pick up the sloppiest sub and salad I’ve ever gotten. Not to mention they forgot some of the order. They tried to make up for it by offering a free 2 liter of soda and a cupcake. Cmon. How is your lunch crew better than your dinner crew at an Italian restaurant? 4-5 stars any day of the week for lunch pizzas and wings. Minimum stars for dinner orders.
Ordered buffalo shrimp with fries and fettuccine alfredo light on the sauce. Buffalo shrimp was plan an fries were cold an not done. The fettuccine alfredo was like a bowl of soup with heavy parmesan. This is the second disappointment by this Restaurant will not be ordering ever again.
We had dinner here yesterday, One of the worst services and food we’ve ever had. Had a crab Alfredo, my pasta wasn’t fully cooked, and the crab was imitation, which wouldn’t be an issue if it were ON THE MENU!!! However, it is NOT.Chicken parm was very untasteful. For what we paid, we might as well have gone to Olive Garden. Molinaros is NOT what it used to be. Dining room “ if you can call it that” only 3 tables. Waitress was nice but clueless. Never even offered refills on our water and iced tea. Where most places won’t even let it get down to half of a glass.Give a HALF star.. however the ratings don’t go down that low.. so had to give one.
Ate at molinaros tonight. Very disappointed, waitress was very pleasant ,my eggplant sub was awful. Dry roll tasted old, it tasted burnt.. Not much ssuce on it.Should have sent it back. Last time I had one od their subs it was very good. The waitress asked me how it was told her not good but didnt s ay anything , just asked my friend how hers was😢
Although the pizza was decent, the service was terrible! The order taker over the phone made me feel as though I was an inconvenience, upon picking up the food I asked for paper plates. Again felt like a total inconvenience. She tossed the plates at me and walked away. Unfortunate.
This was the craziest experience. I called to place an order for multiple party size pizzas and 100 wings. The young lady who answered the phone actually answered while in mid giggle. She asked for my number once I spoke my area code she bursted out laughing then hung up the phone. I called back and another young lady answered and continued the nonsense of the first one while I’m hearing the first girl still giggle in the background. This is crazy. For people to speak so highly and I took it into consideration and tried to order for a family gathering of over sixty people. Let those girls k no w it’s not cool to smoke on the job🤭
It use to be one of my favorite places to order from but a few times now it was delivered way after the time they said, the meat was over cooked , etc. This last time I ordered a salad and after 2 hours of not showing up, trying to get a hold of someone after calling 6 times they are now just sending it out. I dont think Ill be ordering from here again.
This place would definitely be 5 stars had it not be for the terrible management. They do not know how to hire or staff children here. They are careless.... Takeout is a risk, it will be prepared correctly about half the time. However my Dine in experiences have always been above par.
Love, love, love the food and people who answer the phones and prompt delivery!!! However the receipt is always as I placed the order BUT NEVER EVER DO I GET WHAT I ORDERED MADE CORRECTLY!!!!! I think they have trouble with the kitchen staff reading and making things the way the order was placed and forgetting parts of the order!! Ive given several chances now and I wont be ordering delivery any longer 😩 sadly I dont get to go out as much as I order delivery. I was trying to keep a local eatery above water with the pandemic but it isnt worth me paying and not getting a correct order. 😩 Hopefully this will be addressed by the manager/owner...nobody likes an incorrect/incomplete order. I wish them the best always!!! Great place to eat just dont order delivery. 💕
I’m really not impressed. I honestly think I would’ve been happier with Pizza Huts pasta. The sauce is the most bland tasting spaghetti sauce I’ve ever eaten. Honestly disgusting. You may as well throw noodles onto a piece of cardboard. After seasoning the sauce myself I found it to be okay...the pizza logs are decent but the garlic bread was way undercooked. Delivery was pretty decent for the meals I got. Took about an hour. Driver was nice and polite. Price was decent for the amount of food you get. Very generous portions. I’d appreciate it more if I enjoyed my food. I hope y’all read this and change your sauce!!!!! Coming from someone who eats almost anything.....take my advice.
Order from here nearly every week for a friends night. Food is delicious. Stops taking orders for dinners at 8. Kept me on hold for over 15 minutes until it was 8:02 to then tell me that the kitchen guys have cleaned up the station and they were sorry. Literally spend 300-500 a month here and will NEVER return.
Gave this place a try, again, after several years. What a complete rip-off. Got an order of spaghetti Parmesan that I paid $15 for. It was a dollars worth of spaghetti, half a cup of sauce and some cheese melted on top. I could have made better for $1.59 ! The pizza ??? Astoundingly below average. It looked and tasted like something from a convenience store. I think it had 20 small pieces of pepperoni on the entire pie. You call yourselves Italian ?With so many options within 5-7 miles why would anyone go here ? I literally don’t know how this place stays open. Just terrible .
Called and was asked to please hold ( which is fine but) I sat on hold for 5 min. To be told we arent taking any orders... Such inconsiderate staff with a bit of an attitude. Stuff like that will drive away more than just my weekly/bi weekly business... Good luck with your business!!!
Have had difficulties regularly with this place. Quality of food and service have steadily declined over the years.4/19/20: Called and ordered a pizza for pickup. Got to the counter, paid for it, and they said they forgot to make the pizza. Are you serious? Had to sit in the car for 30 minutes while they made it. Didnt even offer a discount or anything.Last time I ever go here and I will be spreading the word as a contractor who works all over Lockport.
Friendly service. The food is usually great. Sometimes the pizza is a little best depending on who actually makes it but it still tastes great. The stopped serving their steak fries which was one reason I always chose them. I dont care for the new fries so I dont order them. Great subs, huge chicken fingers and wings. Bakery is great too
This used to be the place to go for authentic Italian food. However, i have found that the prices are a bit higher and the quality of food has gone downhill. For example, the last time I was there I ordered their large stuffed shells with their popular sauce. Unfortunately, it arrived on a small plate with the sauce placed beneath the shells, which were stuffed with some type of cheese (not ricotta). The party I was with was not impressed as they too ordered the same item off the menu. It dismays me to say that I will not be returning to this establishment. As i previously stated, this used to be the place to go. But, now all i can say is No! No! No!
In the last couple weeks, several people have told me that Molinaros was the best pizza in the area. On a Friday I decided to find out for myself. I ordered an extra large pizza and I must say. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! By far, one of the best around! Well, I couldnt get the deliciousness off my mind, so on Sunday I ordered a party tray because I wanted lots of leftovers. Its an entirely different pie! The crust is at least three times as thick. I found it doughy and much too chooy. My advice, buy two large. Like I said, on of the best pizzas around. Just dont get the party tray.
Ordered a pizza 6:15pm. I’m a trucker sitting in my rig 1.5 miles away. Had to repeat the order to some girl who sounded 10, probably 5 times. She says about an hour. 7:35pm nothing. I call. She says it hasn’t left yet. I ask when they will feel like bringing it. She puts me on hold. She comes back and says “oh he did leave with it”. Which I know means they forgot and are going to rush one out. Now 25 minutes later and the guy who left with my pizza still isn’t here. See the review a couple below me where they forgot the pizza. I’ll update this when the pizza gets. Update. They gave me the pizza for free. That helped but not sure why they had a lying teenager working the phones
We placed an order to have Is it delivered in the town of Lockport I after waiting in a while called to see what was going on with the order and they decided it was too far and they were not going to deliver it.. Thanks so much for letting us no. Very poor service will not go back
Got a honey bbq stinger sub, onion and blue cheese on it. Was one of the worst subs I had ever eaten. Part of the roll was burnt black, the fingers werent even tossed in the honey bbq sauce, as of they just put the fingers on the sub plain and then put the sauce in the sub. Village eaterys stinger sub is 10x better.
Italian food is probably one of the best cuisines in the world when the food and pastry is authentic. My Maternal side is American, born and bred NYC Sicilian’s. Molinaro DOES NOT cook authentic Italian food, it’s not even close. The Pizza’s dough is soggy and there isn’t any way to take that sogginess out other than burn the slice of pizza or the Sicilian (aka a slice in WNY) that has the same soggy issue. The pizza problem begins when there’s too much water added to the dough, it has nothing to do with the difference in water taste. The sauce on the pizza is the worst Italian sauce I’ve tasted. I tried two Molinaro pastries, the cannoli was horrible, the cream is anything but Italian. Molinaro’s Napoleon pastry is surprisingly authentic, when it’s fresh. I am willing to help make Molinaro’s food taste like any authentic Italian restaurant in NYC. I cannot offer help with the Italian pastry/ies b/c I am not a baker. DiCamillo is the closest to authentic Italian pastry in WNY.
Wow is all I have to say, Friday night my husband and some friends ordered a Sicilian pizza for delivery. Pizza came looked delicious and as I was taking a bite of it I soon realized the pizza was not cooked fully... mouth full of dough. NASTY. I called told them the situation and they sent me a new pizza.. 19 minutes later it arrived at my house in worse shape then the first pizza... when we called back the guy gave us the runaround because we asked for it not burnt which I guess means I want my pizza raw in their minds. After a lengthy discussion he proceeded to give me a credit for the pizza. We call today to use the credit and we were told we got a $9 dollar credit!!! A $9 DOLLAR CREDIT ON A $25 order... They proceeded to say there was nothing they could do and that was it... Poor ownership, poor management and poor customer service...
I never went to this place before but my family and friends revved about it so I had to try while I came back to the buffalo area. Their pizza is thick and they do a great job at getting the pepperoni crisp on the top so the flavor is wonderful. Plenty of pizzerias in the area but this place is famous for a reason!
For an Italian Festival by a restaurant they had a lot to offer!Very good traditional style pizza!Im from Long Island and looking for decent pizza for a long time. The slices are large, nice thin crust and most importantly, savory sauce(not sweet). Would definitely go back again.
I rate on service not food. Im also a early eater so its not always their busiest time. The food is great and the waitress is always there to ask for anything. Cant wait till the nice weather returns to western New York so we can sit in the patio area. Nice new added feature last year.
Hunting around Lockport for a new pizza joint, we wandered by Molinaros and decided to stop in. Excellent food, really good NY style pizza. We got the semi-sweet sauce which was perfect. The crust was thinner than most buffalo Sicilian style pizza, but thick enough to stand up to 4 toppings. The end crust was crispy and light and flavorful. We also tried the arancini appetizer and that was really good as well. The service was perfect and our waitress was attentive and timed everything perfectly. We will definitely be back regularly.
We had lunch there and my wife had a 2 piece pizza lunch special, she said the pizza was so fresh and huge pieces. I had the philly steak 8 inch sandwich. Wow was it good, fresh roll and lots of beef, peppers, onion, and cheese. Gooey to eat hot on you fingers be before to made it to your mouth. I also tried a side of pasta with red sauce, it reminded me of my grandmothers sauce, so Italian. This is a must try place, the service wasexcellant and very friendly. We loved our lunch.
Ive ordered takeout here many times without an issue. So, my girlfriend and I wanted to try eating on site for a change. We were disappointed. When we arrived the dining room was full, usually a great sign. Once seated, we each ordered a pasta dish: hers the spaghetti parm, mine the meat lasagna with an extra meatball. Our meals each included salads and bread, both of which were good hence the 2 stars. The service was also just ok. Not great, but nothing worth mentioning. When we started on the main entrees we were both underwhelmed. My girlfriend said her parm was unimpressive, very middle of the road, and the sauce was bland. My meatball was cold and I bit into a rather large hard part (I dont know if it was a stray bone or something else). My lasagna was equally unimpressive and luke warm. The worst part, though, was the heartburn I had all night from the sauce -- thank god for antacids!Weighing the history of ordering takeout with no problems against a not-so-good experience eating in-house, I cant say we will never go back, we just wont eat in and well just order their mediocre pizza and wings.
Great food as always this time we got one of the white pizzas called a Snake in the Grass with Chicken and Spinach, Onion, & 2 types of cheese .They also over you a choice of their sweet red sauce or their traditional red sauce on their pizza. And you will go into a sweet overdose coma when you walk into the Italian bakery where you pick up your order from !! Our family has been ordering food from them for 6 yrs now whether we have choose to dine in or take out it had always been superb you wont be disappointed
Waited for 20 minutes to even get acknowledged and have our order taken. From start to finish over an hour before food even came out. Four other tables that were seated after us had food orders taken and food brought out before our table. We did not have a big party only 4 people at our table and restaurant was not busy. Terrible customer service. Food was average at best.
My wife ordered a pizza friday night and it was oily and the crust was hard as a rock. when she called to complain she they offered a credit of 20.00 or would make us a new pizza my wife said we would take the credit. We ordered another pizza today and reminded them about the credit and it was there but when I get there to pick it up the girl told me it was only a $10.00 credit I will never recommend them to anyone. If I would have been told it was only a 10.00 credit I would have had them make me a new pizza
Was not impressed with the food or service with my recent visit. Complaints from my table: Chicken fingers did not taste like hot sauce, just butter. Not a lot of effort put into the buffalo chicken alfredo. I had a ham & cheese wrap, that a was poorly assembled/not a lot of effort. I probably would not come back to this establishment considering the menu items were very pricey.
I thought the food tasted good, but I read that it was family friendly and to me that means having a kids menu. If you dont want to spend $15+ on an adult meal for a 6 year old then you can either choose 2 chicken tenders, or spaghetti with sauce. I asked if you could get a kids portion of lasagna but I was told no. My daughter really wanted lasagna, so we ordered it thinking she could have leftovers the next day. I couldnt believe when they came out with a portion size that must have been 2 1/2 pounds or more of lasagna. Literally a piece that was 7 inches by 7 inches and about 4 inches tall. We all laughed because we thought it was a joke. Not only a huge waste of food, but why would they give a huge piece of lasagna that will more than likely end up in the garbage, and not even consider cutting a small childs portion for a discounted price? It didnt make a whole lot of sense. My 11 year old ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, and I thought it tasted great, but again there must have been a pound of fettuccine in there. If youre going to be a family restaurant then I feel like it should at least be affordable. We spent $100 (including tip) for 2 adults, and 3 kids ages 6, 9, and 11. We didnt have any adult beverages or dessert. If they had a kids menu it would probably have saved $20 or so. Im not a cheapskate, but when youre a mom and pop restaurant I think being accommodating to families is important. Otherwise it makes it difficult to take an entire family out to dinner (especially in Lockport NY) All in all the food tasted good, but I wasnt happy with the experience of throwing away a ton of food and having to pay $15.99 for lasagna for a 9 year old.
Excellent family service. Pasta sauce is delicious. My favorite is Molinaros. Chicken Marsala..with salad. Love the sweet Italian dressing) .yummy ). Fresh halved mushrooms and creamy sauce. I has a cannoli.. and it is huge..and deliciousHighly recommend !!! Thank you !
On 9-27-15 my wife and i wanted a quick bite, and have always enjoyed eating at Molinaros. Our pizza and wing combo was outstanding!! the Pizza was the best i;ve had in years, and the wings were large and perfectly crispy without being over cooked or too dry. Our server (Anna?) had a nice smile and did a good job for us. Cant wait to dine at Molinaros again! didnt have time to mention this to them when i left, so i hoped a good review would suffice.
I called here to order a cake from their bakery and was put on hold (without being asked what I needed) twice and was hung up on twice. And when I finally talked to someone about ordering a cake, she wasnt really sure about anything. She didnt know when the bakers would be there and she went to check, came back on the phone, and didnt even have an answer for me, she had to go check AGAIN. The bakers are only there Sunday and Monday mornings until noon. Since that isnt convenient for me, I asked for an email to send a picture of what I wanted, well they dont have an email. What business doesnt have an email? Just a bad phone experience. I know theyre known for the pizza, but would never order from there again, based on their customer service.
I want to like this place.....I really do......i have tried off and on for 8 years......but they re very inconsistent in thier product.... If you dine in you may fare better but forget about a consistent pizza.... Ive had undercooked pizza, widely disparate slices, TORN slices, pizzas w multiple large bubbles cooked into product. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was accused of flipping out (I never raised my voice) as I was walking out she shouted after me ..... I only complained one time before and that time I had the pizza on a Friday night and waited to place a call until the following Monday and had a conversation with nick? And it was productive. He offered a few pizza and I declined..….. I thanked him and told him I would be back another night. I wasnt looking for a free pizza. I simply wanted to give him some feedback. And he was very professional with me. The owners are a different story. I will not be back again....and i will be sticking with another local place....For a all round good restaurant style pizza try Village Eatery on Davison rd..... Consistent even under the pressure of a mobbed take out counter!
My husband and I ordered food and waited for an hour. It never showed up. So we called and they told us the card didnt go through (which made no sense) and so when we asked why we werent called about this she said the number didnt work. The person taking my order wrote down the wrong number and card number. So she apologizes and takes our order again. Then asks if we want to tip the driver lol. Weve now been waiting another fifty something minutes and the food is STILL NOT HERE. we will never be eating here again. Didnt even offer a free meal or anything. Terrible customer service!!!!!
When I order pizza in Lockport this is the only place I call. They have the best pizza in Lockport hands down. Its not even close. Whether its regular cheese and pepperoni or specialty pizzas, they are amazing. Subs are good too, especially the steak and cheese. Prices are competitive. I would highly recommend.
Ordered two complete dinners to go. Asked at the time of ordering to make sure we get some bread to go with our dinners. At pick up my wife again asked if they included some bread. Yes was the reply. Got home the lettuce was brown and all that the salad had was spoiled lettuce and 2 cherries tomatoes. No bread at all. The lasgna had maybe 1 table spoon of sause on it. It tasted dry with noodles and ricotta cheese. Gross. Very dispointed with the food and the help lying about bread with the dinners.
Lovin Spoonful: Molinaro’sI visit a lot of dining establishments due to the fact it is just my wife and I living at home. She is an excellent cook and I can only remember one meal in the last 48 years that wasn’t delicious. I think I do this to repay her for all the excellent meals she has cooked for me, to make life easier for her and because I love her.I seldom revisit a place where I’ve had a bad experience because there are many places out there vying for my money. We have found several gems recently and have revisited some of them. That being said, a couple of decades ago we got a pizza from Molinaro’s. It smelled delicious and I ate two slices for dinner. I stopped at two not because I was full, I usually have 3-4 slices but because my mouth was getting tired eating their extremely chewy crust. I went and made a sandwich and threw the rest out. Strike #1.Recently my wife was given an extremely generous gift card from them and not wanting to waste it, we decided to get some Fish Frys for dinner. They came with French fries and a small serving of Cole slaw, a standard WNY Fish Fry. The whole dinner started to go south when my wife tried to use the $50 gift card and was told there was no balance on it. At no time was this card used but according to their system it had been used twice, once before we even received the card from our daughter. Strike #2.We got the dinners home, plated them and sat down for dinner. The fries were soggy, not crisp but had that grainy texture that undercooked frozen French fries have. The fries are better at Burger King. Ok, the fries aren’t very good but what I was craving was fried fish. My first forkful was utter disappointment. The fish was also soggy, so much so that the beer batter coating fell off in large slabs. It also lacked that great fried fish flavor that even copious amounts of tartar sauce couldn’t save. Seeing as we had paid for it, I ate it all but it had to rank among the worst 10 Fish Frys I have ever had. Strike #3. Sorry Molinaro’s but you are now dead to me.
Just an overpriced pizza place, nothing Italian about it. Guess its a good thing to feel good eating pizza but I was looking for Italian food like their claims were making them out to be an Italian Gardens or some such.. Save yourself and go somewhere else, they arent anything close..
If you like to eat raw dough, or finish baking your pizza at home, this place is for you. Spent nearly $50 on two pizzas for my friends helping me move and we just through it in the trash. No one could eat it. Embarrassing. I dont understand what everyone is raving about.
Reason being... They failed to honor a coupon they advertised in the Lockport savings magazine Free hot pepper egg roll so I went today to redeem the referenced item and I was denied of it!!! Reason being : staff was instructed by the owner not to honor the free item unless a purchase was made. Clearly on the coupon lists no fine print of such. Ref: picture below and Aug/ Sept edition of lockport savings magazine. False advertising at its finest. My family and friends are aware and no longer will be doing business with this scam
This place is a mixed bag. Its shabby looking, the people working in the restaurant were wearing gloves and jackets because of how cold it was in there, didnt seem to enjoy their jobs. Got a slice of pizza and a breaded stuffed banana pepper. It was good, but probably wont stop here again.
Our family Loves going to Molinaros anytime we are together. The chicken Marsala melts in your mouth. Favorites are Black and Blue Penn,Stuffed peppers and Lasagna. If you feel like take out..try the stuffed pepper pizza and the raspberry jalapeno wings.Dont forget dessert..napoleans and cannolis...

2022-06-09I was ready for some Italian! I had the pizza with semi-sweet sauce. We dont have sweet sauce where I live, so this was a whole new thing. It was very different and really good. The service was wonderful (our server put up with a lot of questions graciously). And the baked goods were all so tempting. I had a cookie and it hit the spot. Totally recommend.

2022-07-08A group of four of us went and got the mozzarella sticks, gnocchi with the tomato Alfredo sauce, baked rigatoni, steak calzone, and a variety of desserts. Everything was INCREDIBLE! Their marinara, blush sauce, and the red sauce were absolutely delicious, and upended our previous favorite Italian place. Our waitress was also very nice, and attentive, but gave us the space to enjoy our meal together. Will absolutely be back again!!

2021-04-27I have been here before and the pizza slices are good... (better when they first make them). Tonight I wanted to try some pasta.. my daughter and I ordered the baked rigatoni with the house salad. It was listed with two types of cheese on the menu. I didn’t not taste that however... also the pasta wasn’t as seasoned well. I honestly was hoping for a more authentic tasting pasta.. the staff is very pleasant and always friendly.

2022-04-28First time ordering. I usually dont order pasta w/sauce from anywhere whether its dine in or takeout. I thought Id give it a try just the same. Very impressed! Half order was a lot of food. Sauce was great, meatball was very tasty and even the garlic bread was spot on. I compare everyones sauce to my own. Very pleased. We will definitely be ordering again soon. Pleasant staff and delivery person and very fast, hot delivery.

2022-05-10Molinaro’s is my go to for dinner when I’m at work and for when I need to cater food for family party’s. Their staff is amazing and you can pay ahead of time or order online and have food delivered. Their menu has a wide range of things depending on your appetite and occasions. The staff is super friendly and helpful!

2021-07-25People come from Rochester just to have Saturday night dinner here... That should say something about the food and service here. Located in historic downtown Lockport, NY, this unique hometown local Italian restaurant has something for everyone. Take out, call ahead ordering and delivery available. Just make sure they dont take you ordering a Blue while waiting for your food to be finished for wanting Blu cheese with your calzone instead of marinara, lol (joke theyd get). Only a quick 20 minute drive from Niagara Falls and places in Buffalo, do check it out.If youre in the area, this is one of about 5 must stop for food at places in Lockport, second to like Reids or the penalty box, certainly a place to check off your list. If youre local, you know what Im taking about...
