I needed someone to look at my breaks as I was having a harsh grinding noise when slowing down. I walked in and they were very busy but they took me right in. They even brought me out to the shop to show my pads and routers were shot. They always have great service and don’t rip you off or lie to get the sale. Highly recommend!
This is the only Monro that I will go to. Gordon and Joe are wonderful! They are friendly, honest and dont try to sell you what you dont need. The prices are reasonable as well. Joe is a great mechanic and they take excellent care of my familys cars. Ive had everything from oil changes to repairs done and they always do an excellent job. They really strive to please the customer.
If I could give more than 5 stars for the Manager Gordon, and the Technition Todd I would. Very fast, friendly, and honest men. They went out of their way to make sure my vehicle was properly serviced. Very clean location also. I would recommend anyone to this location because of the Team that runs it. If you need to wait for your vehicle there is also a Bill Grays restaurant in the plaza to relax and have some food while your vehicle is serviced. They also have a very nice customer waiting area. Today was my second visit there and they are amazing. One of my main concerns was getting taken advantage of as a new car owner who knows very little about my car, but the staff was very helpful and pleasant on boTh occasions. They offered helpful suggestions for where I could buy the materials I needed and even installed my front license plate free of charge. They are definitely my go to guys because of the great service they’ve provided since day 1.
They are great with advice, pricing, coupons. Great with appt times. Called me with an earlier time when they had one available and remembered I had asked for one. Willing to explain anything to you and tell you the difference between what is needed vs recommended and why. Not trying to take advantage of you when they know you dont know prices of every car part.
The employees and this location are amazing! I had a leak in my tire and they got me in a very short notice and were very helpful. They are extremely knowledgeable and fully explain everything to you. Very happy I went to this place instead of another one. I would definitely recommended this place to anyone who needs service.
After a month and a half of battling with themanager at Mr.Tire about fixing my vehicle properly, my husband & I are very grateful for Gordon & his team at Monro for fixing Mr. Tire’s errors. My A/C finally works the way it should & it’s all thanks to Monro. My family & I will definitely be customers of Monro from now on. I can not thank Monro enough for all they did. Thanks again Monro.
The first annoyance I had with this place was that I showed up for my appointment and sat in the waiting area for 15 minutes before being told that they were hours behind and asked if I could come back on the weekend. A call would have been nice so I did not leave work for nothing just to have to go back on a Saturday. I got overcharged for brakes and then my car was making a horrible grinding noise and come to find out they had hand tightened my caliper bolts so the bottom one fell off!! Very scary! The top bolt was able to be removed by hand so it is obvious they were hand tightened to begin with! Unprofessional! When I called to complain I feel like all I got was excuses and denial. I went in the next day to have it corrected and when I asked for my money back or at least half since the job was half done, I was told No I cant do that! & told things happen & adult life sucks. He even looked at the other customer & said they mess up his car all the time but he still comes back & laughed!! They can take my money but cannot give it back for their mistakes. Instead I was given a gift card for services at that location only. Like I ever want to go back there after risking my life with hand tightened bolts!! Not to mention the mechanic sitting at the desk complaining about how he needs to find motivation to get up and do anything because he didnt feel like it. I guess the mechanic that worked on my car was the only one that felt like working at that location that day! Horrible place!
I had a damaged sidewall and my appointment elsewhere got incorrectly entered, leaving me with a dangerous tire (with a toddler to drive) and a lot of wasted time...on a holiday no less. I called Todd at the Brockport location, hopeful, but not sure I could be helped since good customer service and my chances of finding a decent mechanic both seemed to live with the dodo. This gentleman not only listened and was kind and professional, but also found my tire quickly (on a holiday to correct another stores error), sent someone to get it, and fit me in the schedule while pulling off a last minute tire replacement using my Road Hazard protection. Unfortunately, I also have a continuous low tire pressure light on all my tires and, despite sitting here for over 3 hours, no one can figure out where the damage is?
I have always had a great experience with Monro Muffler. These guys have always gone out of their way to give me the best service and the best price. I have dealt with these people for over a decade and I have never had a problem with one employee or one service instance.These guys seriously know what theyre doing and it shows in their service.Rocky
The owner and his employees are amazing and kind people. They took my car in on short notice and was treated so well! I am so glad I went here instead of a different auto place. I would definitely recommend taking a car here in the future.Nothing but hardworking, knowledegable, considerate, and caring people here.
Had a lot of work done here at Monro Muffler, they always beat the prices of any competitor that Ive shopped around at. They recently just installed a new catalytic converter and two new flex pipes for me for less than half of what Pep Boys wanted from me. Great people and great work.
This place and the people who run it are hands down amazing. I needed one new tire because mine was about to pop with the metal showing. I went to walmart, another place and called a few other places who were so money hungry that they wouldnt help me and sell me one tire. They all demanded I buy 4 new tires or else they wouldnt help me. I was crying and pleading with them because I am buying a new car this week I just needed a new tire to drive to work with. I went to Monro and the manager (possibly owner?) was so understanding and nice. They usually go by appointments but he saw how upset I was and made sure to help me out. He didnt have my tire in stock but went out of his way to call another place and get me a tire. They even went to pick it up themselves! He gave me a discount and talked to me to make sure I was feeling better and that I was in good hands. My tire was changed in less than an hour from when I walked in. I will never go anywhere besides Monro again they are amazing and I will be recommending them to everyone!
I would recommend Brockport Monro Muffler to anyone who needs their car serviced for any reason. They are extremely knowledgeable and have amazing customer service! I have been bringing my cars here for years and I have never had a bad experience. They have great prices and are always happy to help. I would love to review this store specifically, but I was unable to make an appointment. I went to the website and there were times available and I made an appointment. After not receiving a confirmation I called the store and they told me the online ordering system didnt work and I should call in. They in fact do not have a time available for when I made the appointment online.I called the customer service number and was treated poorly by Shawnna then transferred me to Kyle. He was nicer, but still tried to make excuses about the ordering system and how it is not linked to the actual store booking system. He then tried to blame the stores for not handling the appointments correctly. Sorry Kyle, the flaw in your system is at corporate and not the stores. People love the stores, that is why I would like to take my vehicle there, but your online booking system is preventing that. It is 2019. It is not unreasonable that I would expect the appoint I book online to be an accurate reflection of when I can bring my car in.
The brockport monroe is terrific. I take my car there for oil changes, inspections, and any unplanned maintenance my car needs. Gordon is always friendly, and takes the time to understand what my concerns are. I trust the team to do the work right and Im never disappointed.
I had a great experience with the workers at this establishment. Gordon was extremely friendly and helpful, he diagnosed the problems with my vehicle and stayed late to help me out because I had to leave town that night. I recommend to anyone, especially SUNY Brockport students to take their business to these fine mechanics.
Nail in my tire a month after I purchased them from here. Was told I would be given a good deal on a replacement because they claimed the hole was somewhere they couldnt patch. That good deal turned out to be at least $10 MORE than the original price per tire when I purchased them in a set, because I was purchasing a single. Is it because Im a woman, they felt they could take advantage of me... they didnt even try to fix a tire they were probably going to dispose of, or maybe they did intend to fix it and resell this nearly new tire after making me pay for a new one. Anyway, they never even called to tell me the replacement tire was in ( Stellar customer service ) Not to mention I could hear the foul mouthed mechanic f bombing out in the garage the whole time I waited for them to look at the tire. So I took my tire to Transit Tire on Ridge Road where they plugged the hole for $20. Not at single problem since. Never going back, especially after you all changed your credit card program and stopped accepting my husbands Monroe card without notice.
I had a 12:45 appointment for an oil change and inspection. I dropped off the car at 12:35 and he said it should take an hour and a half. The manager was rude to me from the get go making a sarcastic comment when I told him I would be difficult to be reached because I had a meeting. I called back at 2:30 to see if my car was finish. He simply said it was not finished and he would call me when it was. He implied that they were working on it but it just was not finished. At 3:25 I showed up at the store. For 26 minutes, the manager Gordon ( I believe), ignored me. He took a few phone calls and the disappeared. For 26 minutes I waited without even being acknowledged! When he finally came back, it was 3:50. He said, we will be pulling in your car in just a few minutes. After a little back and forth, he said that they didnt do any of the work yet. I had a 12:45 appointment. He said it would take an hour and a half. Over 3 hours later, he didnt even start it. I could not believe how rude he was and I will never let the Brockport Monro Muffler touch my car again. I knew something was up right from his poor attitude when I dropped off my car. He does not know how to treat customers or people in general. Go somewhere else!
We have been going to Monro Muffler for years for oil changes, tires and other mechanical work. I brought in my family members in as well. I called up to make my appointment for an oil change and came in and they said oh we didnt put you on the schedule ( extremely inconvenient) So I rescheduled for that Friday. I came back in. I had someone I never had before. He was rude when I asked him if he was rotating my tires. He said they normally dont do that with the less expensive oil. Okay then why did you tell me that they put the more expensive in my type of vehicle ?( how do I know what oil they actually used I could have paid for the expensive stuff and they could have used the cheap stuff) he then agreed he would rotate my tires. I watched the whole time and not once did they rotate my tires. When he said my oil change was all done, I asked if they changed my tires around he said oh yes and I looked at him like you just lied to me. I asked for my receipt and he says oh its right there in the garbage. Monro Muffler just lost a whole family.
Polite, efficient and clean environment. I was in need of an oil change, (overdue from summer fun) when I was in town visiting family. I was impressed with the service I recieved here. I usually use the place on Dewey but I am going to make this my go to shop in the future. - Lois H.
Went in to get my oxygen sensor fixed, the fixed one and charge me $360 then a mile in after getting it fixed my check engine light turns on again. I take it back in and they said they need to fix my other oxygen sensor (which was never discussed the first time I went in) thy would have to charge me another $268 to get it fixed. As I was there the employee openly talked about being a conservative like it was okay, I felt very uncomfortable. After getting my oxygen sponsors fixed my car startef making weird noises while I drive which was never an issue until I brought it in to Monro. Save your money and go somewhere else where they won’t mess up your car instead of fixing it after paying almost $700.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They up the price on each item by at least $100.00. They make you pay even before the service is done. How do you know how long it will take to complete the work before hand????????????? HUGE RIP OFF. I dont understand how they have stayed in business as long as they have. 100% dissatisfied and will never ever return no matter what the circumstance is. Yeah, I was in a bind since my loyal, trustworthy mechanic wasnt available, next time I will do without a car for a little while longer instead of being ripped off by this place. So........................after trying to reach Kim (after the 4th phone call) her response was, Shops can charge whatever they want for any part. What??????????????????? So customers be aware: Monro Muffler just admitted that they will charge you over $100 for any part (including labor) because they use a computer to ESTIMATE labor that they choose. What a joke this place is. NEVER again. You ripped me off once, but believe me it will never happen to me or anyone else I know ever again. What a joke.
Took my car here for an oil change and radiator flush because Mr. Tire was booked for the week. They underfilled both my coolant and oil, almost forgot to install a new oil filter and charged me over $100. They didnt flush my coolant either, just emptied and refilled it WITHOUT pulling the drain plug all the way out so any trapped debris stayed in the system. I understand theres a market for services like these, but for my money I need better attention to detail and more than one guy checking things over.
Ive always enjoyed dealing with Gordon and the other Monro Muffler staff. Ive gone to the Monro Muffler in Brockport for almost 20 years. Ive had little annoying issues with Monro in the past, but not super big deals. However, after this last time I wont be going back there.I went in on a Tuesday to get an oil change on my truck only to be told that they were too busy. O.K. I understand that everyone gets busy. So I went back to Monro the next day (early in the morning) with the idea of dropping off my truck and picking it up at the end of the day for an oil change. They had ONE guy who was working the counter and working on cars in a full bay. He told me that he was short two guys and that he couldnt change my oil until Saturday at the earliest. This was Wednesday. Suffice to say; they should better staff that place. But, no matter, Ill go somewhere else.
The guys at Monroe go above & beyond. They spent weeks troubleshooting a complex check engine issue on my vehicle, doing way more than they needed to to get me through inspection.If youre looking for a trustworthy place for auto repair & service, give Monroe a shot. They didnt let me down & Ill definitely be going back.Would recommend.
Gordon and the crew at Monro Muffler in Brockport, NY treat you like family. They know how to make me feel like I am getting an honest and fair deal whenever there is any problem that has to be addressed. They are my guys when it comes to taking care of my vehicles. They are a trustworthy and upstanding example of what a service center should be.
The entire staff at the Brockport Monro are beyond excellent. I was delighted and very surprised to see my favorite service manager Gordon Lutsch running the store! The fact that Monro Muffler was able to hire a man of this caliber shows me that Monro is finally getting serious about customer satisfaction. What a difference from the usual Monro store managers. I will always remember him as the service director at John Holtz BMW & Land Rover. He certainly is the gold standard in the automotive service industry. Monro Muffler is truly blessed to have him! I will certainly be getting the word out that he is here!
Okay so I went to go get an oil change today. Before I brought in my Mazda 3 eveythinev was working great. I asked Gordon how much the oil change was and hes like oh no its FREE of charge. I didnt pay anything so when I was driving it to my mothers house I have like no breaks the break peddal is going right to the floor and it wasnt like this before. Now I have to either fix my MASTER CYLINDER or whatever part that needs to be fixed and no its not cheap. DO NOT GO TO MONRO MUFFLER I have had too many problems with them and so many
An honest mechanic is a good mechanic. these people are FAR from honest!!! Do your homework on the parts you need first. We paid for the services before hand (mistake on our part) The guy running our payment at monroe muffler claimed to be helping us out and gave us his employee discount and he could get in trouble for not charging us the 75-80%mark up that corporate requests. (charged us $599 for the part) After we paid we established They ordered our part from the CarQuest warehouse. Car quest charges 327 and some change after taxes so well say $328. Idk about you but i can do math and an 80% mark up on $328 comes out to be $590 and some change. All in all we paid @$753 for the service. like I said, paying before hand BAD mistake on our part and if you want an HONEST mechanic that wont feed you a bunch of bull, go else where.
Run from this place.The manager informed me that I needed 2 tires (which I expected), but he also claimed the vehicle needed brake shoes to pass inspection. Incidentally, my vehicle happens to have front and rear disc brakes, not drums, and doesnt utilize brake shoes…hmm. Just to make things more interesting, unbeknownst to the manager, I recently had my brakes inspected and repaired; I ultimately had my car inspected at another local shop and the brakes were fine.Since I was concerned with the vehicle’s steering. while making the appt., I mentioned an alignment might be needed. To my disappointment, Gordon told me the ball-joints were shot. I later discovered this was not true. It turned out I had one tire of the wrong size, causing it to bald and warp significantly, and this affected the steering. After I replaced the tires, lo and behold, to my surprise, the problem was solved! Maybe it was an honest mistake on Monros part, but who knows...Im just glad I didnt pay for unneeded work.When the manager realized I wasnt inclined to go ahead with the $1000+ estimate, his initially affable disposition melted away, replaced by a barely concealed contempt highlighted by intermittent snide comments and sardonic asides of exasperation – although I knew they must be mistaken about the brake shoes, I actually began to feel a bit guilty for not authorizing the work (this is before I knew they were wrong about the ball joints). At some point while discussing the minimum work needed for an inspection, the manager did this mock Pakistani/Indian accent in colorfully deriding other unethical mechanics. Was Gordon insinuating south-asians are particularly unethical mechanics/people? Was he attempting to bolster his credibility by employing a dubious stereotype/generalization (which I am apparently unfamiliar with)? Maybe he was simply desperate to show-off a harmless Apu impersonation—who knows, but I thought it an oddly memorable facet of the experience nevertheless.I took my car elsewhere (same town) where it passed inspection (after replacing the two worn tires) for a fraction of the price. So if you derive extra satisfaction in needlessly overpaying $$$ for your vehicles service/maintenance, this place may be to your liking. If you dont relish the idea of forking over $500-$1000 for minor work, then look elsewhere. Caveat emptor.
Brought it for a rear brake job that cost me $300, 4 months later I have to pay someone else over $800 because whoever did the one at Monro put the parts on backwards or just incorrectly overall and nothing was salvageable, they even put my one directional tires on completely backwards. Thanks Monro!
Brought my wifes car in for inspection and was complimented on my mechanical upkeep of the car.these guys are great Ive never had a bad experience at the Brockport store.Ive been going here for over 25 years now and would recommend them .when my daughter went away to college the first thing I did was look for a good place to take her car well this is the place I would recommend in you have a kid in college here in Brockport.

He was professional and I could tell he really cared about providing excellent customer service. The shop had my car fixed well before the end of the day. Highly recommend this location!

2022-04-26I do take this situation serious.I already call customer service about my situation. You guys charge me for a job was not done.I got charged for something I ask. Do you guys did the job correctly?I work overnight and is really impossible for me to go over to have check out a messy job you guys did.Call customer service and when I have time I will take my car to another shop.

2022-01-25Rough start but they made it right. Took my truck in for new tires and an inspection. Dropped my truck of at 9am and didnt get it back till after 4pm. They forgot to do my inspection rescheduled for a couple days later. In the meantime my wife noticed I was missing a center cap and another one was half off. Called them and they said they were all on there. They replaced my center hub and gave me a free inspection for the inconvenience. Joe is a man that stands behind his services. Irritated at first but they made it right which a lot of places wouldnt have. Ill definitely go back!
