Never coming back here just because I’m a women he tries to up sale me, even force me to get the high oil for my oils change I been getting my oil change from ford for 4 years and had no issues i come here he do what he want and charge me the highest. I’m so mad I spent 400 when I came for a oils change and on top of that I just came here for a wheel alignment 2 months ago but yet he pushing me to get another one he gave me the wheel alignment 2 months ago. I will not be back im taking my car back to ford I wish I can give negative 10
While waiting for service the manager had tried to rip off the woman checking out before me by telling her she needed to change your air filter. This is a very common thing that auto places do towards their female customers in an effort to take advantage of lack of knowledge. Not only did he have this attitude but the employee/manager also said directly to me that he did no like me talking to his customers which is a major red flag as that too is a common shady business practice that borders false advertising. Be cautious when going to auto places try your best to know before had or contrasts such as that man will rip you off.
Great place to go if you need your inspection, oil change, or work done on your car! Very friendly service as well and accommodating!
They performed an oil change on my vehicle and were fast and prompt, no appointment made. More expensive than Delta Sonic however, they are more knowledgeable and able to perform a variety of services where Delta Sonic is just known for quick fast, get the customer in and out.
Recently went for a car inspection and new windshield wipers and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Definitely recommend and will be going back for other services when needed.
Worst customer service ever. He asked me to bring the car next day and then he refused to get it fixed without taking a look at it. He was on his cell phone talking to someone else at the same time.
This is my go-to place for maintenance and repairs! Ive been here a few times now and the service has always been excellent no matter what.I just had an oil change and both the manager and tech were so helpful in explaining what repairs I might anticipate soon and talked me through why and when Id need them done. I always get worried going into auto shops because I feel like Ill get oversold due to my lack of knowledge about cars, but everyone at this location has been so honest and straight-forward which I really appreciate. Theyll explain everything to you and lay out the estimated costs. The service was efficient and fast, and you can even make appointments online which is very convenient.Highly highly recommend for any car needs.
Mark was courteous, professional and fast. Brakes were fixed the same day we brought them in and he communicated the costs up front. I will definitely come back here for future car repairs.
I was very pleased with my experience. The staff are wonderful. Mark really got me the best deals possible and Nolan went above and beyond with my car. They got me right in and did great work. My car runs better now than it did when I bought it. Highly recommend.

Worse service! My ABS light came on right after I got an oil change and when I called Mark the mechanic he didnt even offer to look at it again!

Ive been here several times because they came highly recommended, and rightfully so. Mark is a really good guy, and they always do an excellent job with any work Ive had done here. As far as prices, their quotes are always fair which is refreshing, as it can be a challenge to find honest mechanics, especially if youre someone who doesnt know much about cars. Overall I would 100% recommend these guys, good job for fair price.

A place that will try to take advantage of unknolwedgeable people. Tried to up-sell us, giving us false information about how our engine would explode if we didnt buy the most expensive package. They wanted us to spend $100 FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!! When we walked in the representative said best or ultimate. We stated we wanted a regular oil change and cheapest package. He said I dont do that even though it is listed ON THE FRONT COUNTER that they offer it. Do not recommend this place. Extremely rude. Seemed inconvenienced and mad that he had a customer/appointment that was made ahead of time. Never had a worse experience trying to get a simple oil change. Reading other reviews it seems that the horrible customer service is a trend that hasnt been taken care of, even though they read, respond to and state that they will make the experience better. If this is the better experience, I do not want to see what the experience used to be.

Mark is great! Has been doing services on my 2005 Honda for a few years now. Always lets me know what is necessary and what isn’t, and they are always super fast! Same day drop off and pick up within a few hours. He even helped me replace a blown brake light for no charge. :) Thank you!

My family of four was on a road trip from Ohio to VT, with a stop in Buffalo and our engine was running really hot. It was a Sunday morning and we couldn’t continue driving with it that way. We found this shop and pulled in about 50 min before it was going to open. As we were preparing the kids to wait at least an hour or more until they opened and could help us, the store manager, Mark, drove in. He wasted no time asking us what was going on and took a look at it in the parking lot. He opened the shop early for us and fixed us up in no time. He went above and beyond for us. Sometimes you just run into a good human, and we appreciated him so much!
I came to Monroe muffler to get my vehicle looked at because the dealership I went to told me that I had a broken exhaust bracket and it will cost $560 to be fixed. When I arrived at Monroe the staff member I encountered was very professional, looked at my vehicle in a timely fashion and very informative. Not only did he assess the problem but he save me $560 because my exhaust bracket was NOT broken after all!!! I definitely would do business with them in the future and would recommend my family and friends to come here!!!
I’ve been taking vehicles to Mark for service for 10 years and he’s always been great, fair, and honest. Went in today thinking I needed new brakes and rotors - he pulled a walnut out of my wheel well and saved me big time!
I caught a flat and after taking my car to somewhere close to my job they told me my new tire couldn’t be repaired and offered me another one. They didn’t have the matching tire so I went to my guys at Monroe on Main Street because that’s where I original bought my set. I walk in and tell Mark that I needed a new matching tire and tell him the story. He walked me out to look at the tire and let’s just say I’m driving away with my original tire repaired under a warranty!!! Mark and Nolan are the Absolute BEST!!! Thanks guys!! Seriously, you have no idea!!
I just showed up with no appointment, with a busted exhaust pipe. The garage was super busy, but my car was taken right away AND fixed in under 2 hours for LESS than what I was quoted. Mark turned a bad day, into a really good day!

Complete Scam! They advertise $30 basic oil changes all over their website and even have coupons for it. I called for availability and the man said come on down. I get there and he tries to tell me they no longer do regular oil changes they only do synthetic oil now and he tried to spin it like nooobody does regular oil anymore. Like we stopped pumping it out of the ground or something. A $30 oil change was now a $60 oil change. What a scumbag! I turned around and left.

Outstanding place. Not only do they do great work, but they are very honest and genuine. You dont have to worry about them trying to scam extra money out of you, and they do a wonderful job of making sure you know exactly what is going on throughout the process of them working on your vehicle. If any expensive issues arise, they give you a heads up before just going ahead and skyrocketing your bill, and they seem like they truly care about what is best for the customer. That genuine honesty makes it a wonderful location to deal with. I could not recommend highly enough.
Came in for a NYS inspection. Mark, the manager, and the technician were very knowledgeable and friendly, and recommended some service without pressure. They also caught a brake wear issue, and explained why the issue was happening even though the brakes were recently replaced. Overall great service and knowledgeable staff, would recommend.
I stopped in this morning after hearing an awful noise coming from my front tire when I pulled in the driveway last night. The mechanic took a look at my car right away, even though they seemed pretty busy already. Apparently my brake sensor had fallen down and lodged itself in a part of the wheel, causing that awful noise. He popped the sensor back in free of charge and sent me on my way! Awesome service!
Stopped in to get an estimate for replacing a section of my exhaust, I was told it will take 30mins and we can do it right now! They gave me a good deal, and an umbrella when I went to grab some coffee down the street while waiting. I’ll be back if I need more exhaust work, nice people.
Mark, the manager, was very personable and friendly. They stayed late to repair a hole in my tire! The mechanic (I didnt get his name) was also very nice. Always great service here, I will continue to keep coming here.

Mark was very courteous and helpful in repairing / patching a flat tire on my vehicle. I showed up, without appointment, and he had me out the door (with a repaired / patched tire) in under 30 minutes. I am definitely going to be coming back to Marks store for general maintenance and upkeep. His location is very convenient / easy to get to and I was blown away by his prompt, fact-based, service. I highly recommend him.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!I set up an appointment two days in advance and told them I would drop the car off in the morning. The person who set up the appointment told me they open at 7:30 anytime after that. I arrived at 7:45, opened the door and was greeted with a “we dont open until 8” (on the door it says opens at 7:30🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ And your DOOR IS OPEN). I replied, the person who set up my appointment said you open at 7:30, and the reply to that was “well he shouldn’t have told you that”😂. I said I already have an appointment just need to drop my keys off, not in his opinion and He told me I would have to wait til 8 while he sat behind the desk!You cant make this stuff up!Find another place to do business!!!!!! I surely will be.In response to the owners response,how would calling a 1800 number solve your employees poor customer service and incompetence?

My 2008 Saturn Vue is old know. I had to taken her in for New York State Inspection and it passed. I live in the area so this has is my go to auto shop. Good service!!
Mark was absolutely the coolest. Very straightforward, informative, and funny! Made me feel right at home even though I had never been there before. Went in for an alignment on my 2012 Volkswagen Golf and left with a smile and straight wheel.
The work is excellent, the service is fast, and the prices are reasonable. The manager (Mark) is upfront about everything and wont do work your car doesnt need. Over the past couple of years Ive had brake work, tires, headlight repairs, etc. here (also inspections) and always been glad this was where I took my car for service.

Called about 9 am with a going- flat tire and Mark was honest about the price and wait time. Very polite and no upsell attempt. Did remind me of routine maintenance, which i will happily have done at this location. Great customer service. Much appreciated experience during this stressful time of year!!
When I was there today, there was only one employee working. However he juggled me and two other customers without quickly without help, and had me in and out within an hour at a great price for my new tire!

Came in to have my wipers fixed after the left one was getting overlapped by the right one. Mark had me pull into the bay and looked at it and discovered that the screw was loose. He tightend it down for me and I was on my way. No charge. Great guys there. Thank you very much!
Super expensive I wanted to change my break pads, an older kind of grumpy guy told me it’s an “estimate” of minimum of $199 per axle so that’s $400 for all four tires and it might go up he says and also wanted to charge me another $400 to change my rotors he says 95% of the time they need to be changed with break pads, FYI my rotors look technically new no rust nor rears. In total $800. Break pads literally only cost $100 to buy for all four tires. Ridiculous PRICING!
A great place run by a great guy, Mark Eberle. I found it by chance with my 1963 Valiant convertible, but there is nothing chancy about it. Having traveled all over with this car, Ive seen a lot of mechanics. Monro joins one in Mexico, one in South Carolina, and one in Vermont as my favorites.
Pulled into the garage without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. Mark and his crew had me in and out of the about 90 minutes after figuring out what was wrong. The staff there took me out to the car to show me what the issue was. The bill was reasonable and the price for labor wasnt as painful as a few other shops Ive experienced. I will definitely go here again if I have any other issues with my car. Thanks guys.
I’ve gotten work done at Monro’s Before and they are usually solid depending on the management. I stopped by this location with a few questions and had a chat with the manager Mark. Awesome guy. Can tell this is a well managed efficient location with personable easy to talk to staff; and they aren’t out there to jack up prices like many auto places out there. Hard to find good places to take your car. This is one of them.
I went in an hour before closing as I desperately needed new brakes. I apologized for coming in an hour before closing but I really needed new brakes. Mark told me dont worry about it, and said the job would take about an hour to hour and half. But he joined Paul and they both worked on my brakes and got it done in 30 minutes. Truly a great experience and I will for sure be making this location my spot moving forward.
Great service and very courteous! I noticed all of a sudden that my car was making a loud scraping metal sound and I was afraid of my car needing more repairs (I had a lot of work done this past year at my dealer). On an impulse I called Monro on Main St since it was close to my work, and they were able to get me in right away and drive me back to work. I found out that I only had a rock stuck in my rotor which they removed. Mark also said I was low on oil which he kindly topped off at no charge. I highly recommend Mark and his team, and plan on returning for all of my car services.
Store manager Mark has always been an honest and great mechanic! Many time that is a hard thing to say about a chain store. I have trusted all sorts of services for my family to him and have NEVER felt like I was getting taken advantage of over the last 15 years. That being said you should visit his store for all of your car service needs
Mark at Monroe Muffler Brake is an honest, no-nonsense auto repair shop owner with a longstanding presence at the corner of Main and Hertel. Ive been taking our various cars there for more than 20 years and have a high degree of confidence in his diagnosis and repair work. They do high quality work at a fair price in a timely manner. Today he charged me nothing for more than an hours worth of time and effort diagnosing and trying to track down needed parts for an older imported car. He showed me the parts which needed to be replaced and explained the problems while the car was up on the lift. Unable to obtain the parts he referred me to a dealership, charged me nothing, and wished me good luck. Ive had experiences in other shops where unscrupulous mechanics charge for repairs not made, or use shoddy patchwork approaches which later need to be redone. Its not easy to find honest reliable repair shops and people with integrity. Thanks again Mark.
I stopped in to have a tire checked and they were so accommodating and friendly. 10 minutes before close, they fixed my tire that had a screw in it and I was in my way!! WOW, I’ll be back for my auto needs. Great place!
I don’t go to anyone else in the city but Mark. The work is always efficient and he is very fair and honest. Make an appointment and talk to Mark and you won’t be disappointed, he’s always working hard to get everything he needs to get your fix done in a reasonable time
This place robs people that dont know better. They tried to charge me $300 for a broken wheel stud on my corvette which I promptly did myself for less than $10. They then said my car wouldnt pass inspection because of broken brake lines, no brake lights and a steering column they broke themselves. The steering column was just flapping there when I picked up my car, not how I left it. I proceeded to melt my tires off in their parking lot. They intentionally broke something to charge me big bucks to repair then lied to me about other supposed nonexistent repairs. I guarantee they do this daily to people that dont know better. They seen the corvette and thought we can rob this guy but this guy actually knows about cars. The car passed inspection at a reputable shop and they didnt try to rob me. Goodluck rubes.
Many thanks to Steve Assistant Manager and Tech Kris at this store. Two very honest guys. I came in for an oil change because my light came on. It turns out my light just hadnt been reset. They reset my light for me and let me know when I would need my oil changed. I definitely recommend doing business here.

Ive been at this shop twice now, once to have my oil changed and the second time for a state inspection. Mark even fixed an issue I was having with my steering and said it was complimentary. Im from a small town and the city of Buffalo is a big place for me. To have a shop that has the small town feel of familiarity and friendliness so close to UB is highly appreciated. Highly recommend this place!

Called in for an appointment for a flat tire repair and the guy asked me to come over. When I visited, he asked me to drop off the car (and wait for 2 other customers ahead of me) or come back in an hour. When I came back in an hour, he told me there are 2 more cars ahead of me. When I asked if can get an appointment, he said “we open at 8”. Very unprofessional service. They clearly don’t honor/understand what an appointment means. (Even though you can schedule appointments at the website)0 customer service skills/ Rude staff
This place is the auto shop to make your new home! The manager at this location, Mark, has long standing roots since his 20s working here and treats every customer just like it was his own daughter (or son, if he had one!). He and his team work diligently in YOUR interest and are very transparent about what work is needed & why. Very real guy & invests his own money to build the place up. So glad to have found an auto shop that I can rely on and has so much flexibility. I was able to book an oil change and filter replacement this morning and bring the car in right from work and be done within an hour. Couldn’t recommend more!

I agree with Tyler Klier who was the only one who said otherwise to all those good reviews. Yes from all those good reviews you dont actually know the place till you visit. I went there for changing gear oil in the rear differential. The two guys there said with one voice that I needed a $800 job for rear differential and I needed my rear drive shaft replaced which was $900 in parts alone. Even the Toyota dealer I just went to didnt try to scare me into spending such major money. These people are not what the other reviewers described as friendly and helpful. Dont get fooled by those good reviews. As you would expect, I didnt take the bait and they didnt change my gear oil. Keep looking people there are so many shops in this city we can go to. Find a real honest place for your repairs.
Since I’m a college student who recently moved full time to Buffalo, this is the first time i’ve ever had my car inspected/registered etc. I was not sure where to go so I picked the closest place to my home out of convenience. Thank goodness I did! I went in for a simple inspection and guess what Mark found! A squirrel had been living in my car! This got rid of the weird sound my car would make when ever it would turn on and saved my engine from blowing out! I’m so fortunate to have had such an amazing experience my first time there and I will continue to go there for all of my car needs! Thank you Monro Auto Service!
These guys are amazing!! Especially Mark, I needed a state inspection and needed my car back asap. He did a great job, finished the state inspection AND replaced two broken stabilizer links all between 6pm and 7 when they close so I could get my car back in time! Thanks guys, I will be coming back again for all car services you do!
These guys are friendly, took me for a last minute oil change appointment and checked over the entire car. I needed a couple things for an upcoming inspection, and though I couldnt do it that day, they didnt give me that hard sell. They get it that we dont all have the ability to drop a huge chunk of money on repairs on the spot. I didnt feel the usual pressure I get from other places to get things fixed that arent even broken. Ill be back for sure.
For as long as Im in Buffalo, Ill be going here for all my car needs. The guys here are really friendly and good workers and they really try to work with your schedule. I went in to get my headlight replaced and I expected to be there for at least a couple hours since they were all booked up, but the manager Mark immediately took a look, fixed a problem with the wiring that had caused the bulb to burn out three times in the past year, and replaced the light, all in five minutes. I kid you not. Great guy. Thanks Mark!

Ive had nothing but good experiences with this Monro. The first time I stopped in I had my brakes seize up on my way to work, they were able to fit me in that afternoon and fix the problem right then. They stayed a little after hours to make sure that I was able to leave that night, and that everything was fixed and okay. The next time I had an issue with something, Steve was able to explain to me exactly what had happened, and what I needed to keep an eye on in the future. Super nice, didnt overcharge and did a great job!
Called in looking for a fast but overdue NYS inspection. Mark says to bring it over in an hour. 90 minutes later were done with something I feared would take all afternoon.Honest, fast, courteous and reliable service to a first time customer is a rare thing to find in the auto repair business today. Great service! Went in because one of my wheels were squeaking, dropped off the car and they called me about 30 minutes later to tell me what was wrong they fixed him up in another 20. Mark was very nice and very helpful I will definitely be coming back!
Monroe is the only place I trust working on my car. Ive been coming here for maintenance work for over 4 years. Mark the manager personalizes your experience and makes sure you leave satisfied. Pricing is about average to any other place but they always have coupons and specials going on. Quality is worth it. Love it, definitely would recommend this location.
Both Mike (the manager) and Steve (the Assistant Manager) have serviced the vehicles in my family. They are honest and tell you exactly like it is. I highly recommend this shop, especially for work beyond simple oil changes.
Dont listen to the reviews there planted by the shop to bump there rating. The only two people I know whove gone here (me and a friend) have had horrible experiences. For me I scheduled an appointment to get an inspection, clearly stating the reason for my visit when I called. When I arrived, after taking off of work, I was turned away because no-one who was able to perform an inspection was working today. They didnt call off, just were not scheduled to work at all. My friend brought his car in that was stalling. They ended up breaking another piece while fixing it. After three visits and 1500$ they told him they couldnt fix it and he needed to take it elsewhere. Nothing was done in either case. My friends car cost him 2500$ between both shops (second shop fixed it the same day without issue). Original issue was estimated at 500$ to fix.
The guys on Main and Hertel are awesome! Been going there since I got my first car. Always nice and helpful and get things done as soon as possible. Go see these guys if you ever need help, even with little issues too. Couldnt figure out how to change my brake lights and they were happy to help me so Id know for the future.

Im a broke college kid and Mark always takes care of me really well. The men that work here are all really nice and they’re always trying to help you out. I’ve been going here for almost 4 years now and have nothing to complain about. Mark will bring you out to the floor and let you look at the issues in your car and try to explain everything to you if he has time which is really nice. He let me take my death trap brake pads home as a souvenir once I thought that was funny.
Had my car towed here by AAA after a flat tire. They took it back first thing and called me right away to let me know what the situation was. Mark (the manager) was who I dealt with. He also advised that I had an issue with my struts - quoted me a price that was fair so I had the work done. They did everything timely, communicated through out the whole process. He also went out of his way to show me when I arrived to pick up the car the things they had handled and why. Definitely will be back.
They were great and quick!! I needed an inspection last minute and they got me in and out in 30 minutes or so. My car needed a new air filter but he wasn’t pushy at all...he recommended one and even told me it’s so easy to do I can take care of it myself.

Came in because there was a monster under my wifes car. It had been practically sitting in our driveway for months during the pandemic and needed new front calipers and all new rotors and pads all the way around. Mark at the front desk was great to work with and gave me a great discount.
I would definitely recommend Monro on Main St in Buffalo. Mark and his team were able to get me into an appointment on the same day for an inspection and were courteous, respectful, and very helpful. I will definitely be going back to this location.
I first went to Monro on Main Street because it was close and I could leave my car and walk home. The first time was for routine maintenance, mostly getting the car ready for winter, so oil change, tire rotation and inflation, fluid checks, etc. The work was completed in a timely and affordable manner. The second time I had a gratingnoise under the engine, which Mark quickly repaired WITHOUT CHARGE! It was simply a loose shield under the engine, but I was at least expecting a charge for labor. I am thoroughly satisfied with both visits, and Ill keep using Monro for any and all of my car needs in the future. Thanks, Mark!
I set up an appointment at a different shop and came to this location on accident. The other shop was going to charge me 60ish bucks to change a headlight. Mark Eberle at this location took me anyway and made the change quickly, including switching my wiper and did it for free! Only asked me to come back when I needed more service. I definitely will! Awesome! Made my whole day!
Called in to see if they could squeeze me in for a oil change. They got it done right before closing and even took the time to look at what was making a loud noise in my car. They tightened my belt for me and the noise stopped . I’ve never been happier that they took time and effort to make my experience the best one possible. Would highly recommend for all automotive work.

I came in a few weeks ago due to a slow leak in my tire and ended up needing the tire replaced. The manager and employees were so thoughtful and patient with me- I dont know much about cars! Unlike other shops that tend to take advantage of those who arent knowledgable about car issues, the guys here took the time to explain everything to me and even gave me a discount!I came in today because I had a burning smell coming from underneath my car, and Mark was so generous to take a look at it right away. It ended up just being a plastic bag that got caught on the pipe. He didnt charge me anything, and was so kind to take the time out of his busy day to help and explain everything to me. Definitely recommend this location! Mark is so great!
They were great! Dropped my car off thinking my exhaust was the problem, turns out my exhaust was fine but had other issues. Had minor issue fixed free of charge and realigned my wheels for a decent price. Highly recommend.

This particular Monroe is far and above the best. I ALWAYS trust that the work being done is correct and for a great price. My 2015 car hasnt needed much but has only gone here even before the Dealership!
Made an appointment on Tuesday for Saturday 12PM. Guy says Im all set for the appointment through phone. Saturday comes, I pull the vehicle in and they said no appointment was found and if I want to get serviced I gotta wait 2 hours. I cant believe it...1 hour of my weekend gone. Choose another location thank you.
Everyone has different experiences but me personally, I had a good experience here. I made an appointment for a inspection and was done within an hour. The service manager? (I think) Mark was a nice guy.
The man patched a my flat tire and put it back onto my car with no charge at all. I totally recommend this place. They have great customer service.
A friend recommended this place for state inspection. Based on my experience, the service is quick and nice. Owner is genuine and charged me a low price for it maybe because my car is relatively new. Quite happy with it, would come back.

I had a squeeky noise coming from my car, I thought brakes. I am no Mechanic so I took the car in to Monro. The gentleman that helped me was knowledgable and honest. I did not need breaks as they were almost new. I did however have medal on medal for the front brakes. I also had a busted spring. I was offered a few discounts and a nicer bill than I was expecting. They were quick and courteous. Will utilize these gentlemen again. Great service.

I have been to this Monroe several times and have been pleased with the service and prices everytime. Today was just for an inspection, which I know they make no money on. Despite this, they fit me right in, and gave me sincere/honest advice on my tire life. I thought I was due now for new ones, but they said I had a little more time. I will continue to go to this Monroe for my car needs, and I will get my new tires here when due.
Stopped by for an oil change and let Mark know that I had been hearing a bad rattling sound under my truck. He took a look and fixed the problem free of charge! Always happy with the service here!
I spoke with Mark and he was very honest and polite. He is reasonable with college students. He’s not the type of guy who is looking to make an extra buck on transactions. Definitely would go to him again.
Mark is a real no bull mechanic. He will tell you what he thinks without hesitation, and if its about cars hes probably right. Got me in and out in a couple hours for a reasonable price after being bounced around all day from other shops in the area.

I was having a very bad Saturday morning I went to Fox Tire for them to check a noise that I was hearing from my car mind you this the second time Ive been there asking about that noise which they claim both times they dont know where it was coming from. I waited 3 hours for them to tell me I THINK its the rack and pinion, but we dont now cause we cant see it I ended up coming to Monro where soon as a walked in I was greeted, the customer service was good, Mark gave me an exact time he was going to look at my car. Within 1 hour Mark knew the problem, fixed it, and checked everything else regarding my car. SURPRISE, SURPRISE (It wasnt the rack and pinion) and only charged me $55. I am so happy and pleased with the service, respect, and quickness that he showed me. I waited 3 hours at fox tire for them to tell me WE THINK ITs.... To 1 hour at Monro where he found and solved the problem. I highly recommend them.
Went there for wheel alignment. But they refused to do the alignment because they want to install wheel bearing which is installed few months ago. I don’t drive much so I know my vehicle condition well. They charged me for 39$ just for inspection where as I went there only for wheel alignment. Stay out from this repair shop.
Came in for NYS inspection. I don’t remember the mechanic that helped me, but he was very knowledgeable and made it easy for me to understand what issues had to be addressed. Gave me clear description of pricing and installation process.
Happy to be able to come back here as opposed to dealership! Close by the bike path and LaSalle station for easy drop off and the ability to walk home or catch rail for work. Great service, always finished same day. Get all our equipment maintenance here!
This shop will not sell you things you don’t need, and they are willing to explain things to you. I always get good service when I bring my car to them. Their prices are competitive, and they try to always find the best price including discounts.
I got a flat tire due to one of the many horrible potholes on Main St. I was in and out of Munro in about 30 minutes. They didnt try to sell me stuff I didnt need, they noticed something a previous mechanic had forgotten to do and fixed that free of charge, really great experience!
Steve was super helpful and got us in and out quickly. He helped us find the source of a mysterious sound our car was making and gave us his suggestions of what he would do to fix it. We were so thankful they were open on a Sunday!

The man who runs this place is incredible...he always gets me in and out as quick as possible, and is great with me as someone who doesn’t know cars very well! Doesn’t charge unless their is really something wrong, but has always given me the time of day. Would recommend!! :)

Made an 8:00am appt to get an inspection done before work. The place was open but no employee has shown up as of yet. The car is not even in the bay. They do not respect your time or scheduled appointments.I wish I could say this was a first experience here. With oil changes in the past, they have been equally inadequate and inefficient. Only reason I came here is because the location is on my way to work. I will avoid this place at all cost in the future.
If I could give this place zero stars I would!!!!! They are very unprofessional and very dishonest. I brought my vehicle in for inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. The claim the oil change was done, but never reset the alarm in my car so the moment I picked up my vehicle it alerted me that an oil change was required, no sticker was placed in my car to let me know when I should come back. I check the tire pressure of my tires (one intentionally had more air in it and was marked) the manager was adamant that he physically checked the tires and rotated them, however my car read other wise all tires except the right driver side tire was fine, the driver side tire had a pressure of 45 (I was aware of this before dropping off my vehicle and didnt think to mention it to them at the time of drop off) upon picking up my vehicle the gauge was the same and in the same place, my tires were never rotated which makes me question if ANY of the work I paid for was completed. I work fairly close to the shop so I left my vehicle there for the morning. I will NEVER return to them again and highly recommend that no one else goes their either.
Mark, the manager was extremely friendly and professional. The rest of the staff did a great job servicing my vehicle.
I was driving down Hertel when my check engine light popped up, which was soon followed by my dial showing my engine was running maaad hot. I was a block away from Monro and they were able to check my car out (Im terrible with terms but my water pump was super done which was causing my engine to almost explode) and they had it done the same day! AND they did an oil change on top of that. I normally go to a place closer to my house, but of all the places to stumble upon when my car literally couldnt be driven any further Im really glad it was this place. Id highly recommend this place to anyone in the area - they were super helpful and went out of their way to help me (and Im not even a regular!).

Went in for an inspection as I had failed the day before at a Pep boys for emissions readiness (vehicle comp had been reset). Before going in I ensured the system was ready. Guy just turned me away, seemed like he just did not want to inspect it.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came in with a side mirror that needed to be replaced. The manager, Mark, told me it would be a $300+ repair which I knew was absolutely outrageous. So I went and bought a mirror after he told me he would put it on for $50 and he told me it was the wrong mirror! I called the parts store they confirmed this was the correct mirror, even went to a monro 2 miles away and they also confirmed it fit. I ended up putting the mirror on myself and it took about 20 minutes. Mark is rude, arrogant and thinks he can take advantage of people. Its clear he is uneducated about basic auto mechanics. I cant believe he is still employed with this company after all the bad reviews I have read! Never using monro again and you can thank Mark for that!

These guys cranked on my automobile despite it being a busy spring time, I got appointments when necessary and waited the usual time allotted. Cheap as can be oil change and they were very clear as to what the prices would be on other services.

Mark at Monro has been an absolute saint this last year.Backstory: I moved to Buffalo from California to do a one year nursing program at UB. Our program requires that we have a car (to get to and from hospitals, patient homes, etc.) and so I bit the bullet and had my car shipped to Buffalo. While I had just had my car checked out in California before I left, it seemed that I kept running into issue after issue. My delicate little Californian car wasnt made to withstand the brutality of Buffalonian potholes.Every time I have run into an issue, or just needed normal maintenance, Mark has worked with me to keep my car safe and driveable. Hes given me advice thats saved me tons of money (dont drive in the right lane, they always have more potholes) and has gotten me in at the last minute time and time again. Hes been straight with me about what I need to have fixed now, and what can wait. Id recommend Monro to anyone in Buffalo, but especially to those people who arent native to the area.
Manager was rude had zero customer service skills. They tried to overcharge an insane amount and lacked any courtesy or professionalism when I declined their outrageous prices. Don’t let the fake 5 star reviews fool you.
Took in my vehicle for an oil change and they claimed it needed a new ball joint as well as a few other things done to it, and that it was not safe to drive unless it was done. They were pushing to do it for me right then, but I took it for a second opinion and there is no problem whatsoever with any of my ball joints. They also failed to tell me that the oil pan had a small leak, even they though worked on that directly. Feeling very deceived.
Was able to squeeze me in last minute. Quick, efficient, and very kind! Happy to know I have a trustworthy shop nearby, I’ll definitely be back.
Went to this location for brake/rotor work. Brought my vehicle in at 12:30pm and specifically asked would the work be done today because I worked the next few days and wouldnt have time to pick it up. The guy told me yeah were open until 7. At 5:30 I get a call saying my vehicle wouldnt be ready today which caused me to miss a day of work. I tried to plead my case but the guy MARK showed no empathy. Ill NEVER go back to that location and I highly recommend you dont!!!!!!!!!!

The rat looking owner ripped me off. Told me I needed a muffler for an exhaust issue I had, charged me over $400 to fix it. My car was worse off with the bull#@*! muffler he put on. It was fastened on incorrectly and caused damage to my bumper and under carriage. Hes also ripped off others Ive talked to. Id rather see an empty lot than this shady mech shop on main and hertel. Dont support this ripoff artist. Go anywhere else!

There’s a way to tell a customer that they need repairs without being rude. The man at the front desk made my experience here awful- i would have happily gotten the repairs if he wasn’t so impatient, unkind and rude. I’ve gone to this company for 6 years but i won’t be coming back.
Needed to get my check engine light fixed and they got to work on it right away. The owner gave me a discount out of his goodwill and was fast with service because so got my car back in a matter of hours. Definetely going back in the future
Made an oil change appointment, when I came in at scheduled time they told me would be hours till they could help me, we’re not pleasant or apologetic at all about their mistake, can’t comment on services cause I wasn’t able to get my oil changed. If I could give negative stars I would.

I took my truck (which is in perfect condition) there for a simple inspection and they failed it telling me i had a break light out and needed front brake pads. I called their bs though because my gf followed me there and told me i deffinitely did not have a break light out. So i paid for the failed inspection and took it to firestone where it passed no problem. I wouldnt even suggest this place to someone i hate with a passion because they do not deserve any business. Ive never had bodywork done there so i cant speak on the quality of their work, however i can speak on the quality of their character. Zero star and zero class establishment.

I took my car in to check out a few things and some older guy not sure of his name but he was really rude. he basically was sarcastic and insulted my vehicle with nasty curse words I dont use. i been there 3 times in different occasions thinking he had a bad day and each time he was really extremely rude. not good customer service at all.

I walked into the Main & Hertel location and asked, if I could get the bulb replaced in my headlight? The older guy looked out the window and asked if that was my GMC Terrain and said, Thats at least an hour job and if I look it up maybe even longer, you have no ideal what has to be done. The sad part is that I do know what has to be done. Ive had the bulb replaced before in 10mins or less. THIS IS REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will Never go to the Main & Hertel location ever again in my Life, and I live right around the corner!

I asked him to help me get rid of the stains and he said he cant do anything about it! They dont care about their customers. Very bad customer service. Never going there again!

2022-05-20Ill be honest I came here for inspection because it was within walking distance of work but Im glad I did.They called to tell me what needed work and then instead of doing it, had me come in and actually showed me what was wrong, explained it to me, and let me take pictures to check with a trusted mechanic I know. He confirmed everything they said checked out. I had the work done, two separate repairs/replacements and the managers Paul and Mark did what they could to stick to initial estimates even if it meant taking a hit on the back end. Pair that with their friendliness and the speed in which they got things done consider me satisfied.Hard to find a good auto shop these days but these guys seem to hit the mark.

2022-05-11I went in for a tire repair after a nail and they got it done super quick. Brandon told me about an hour and a half or so but they had it done in 30 minutes. Second time I’ve been there now. Pictures taken two months apart.Definitely recommend!!!

2022-05-21This specific location of Monro Auto (Monro Muffler) is the best I have ever used. Mark is an excellent mechanic and manager of the location. Mark explains the work and gives an honest opinion. I am a weekend warrior mechanic, but when I cannot do the job (alignment, tires, winter jobs, etc.) I use this location. You can count on the work and if anything goes wrong they stick by their jobs. I recommend to anyone looking for a honest mechanic in Buffalo.

2022-03-29I was out of town on business and my check engine light came on. I pulled into Monro and Mark immediately pulled my car into the shop inspected the engine, tightened a loose hose and topped off my coolant and oil. One of the technicians also offered to put air in my tires. I have been a long time Monro customer and will continue to be with service like this. Thank you Mark!
