Fast and friendly. If you want to be in and out do NOT go to any other ER come here, these people are friendly and they really care about you. They will take care of you. Best hospital Ive ever been to in my life aside from White Plains Hospital. Youll be in and out in no time.

Took my Dad for catarac surgery. Had him there at a specific time. 3 hours later still waiting to get taken upstairs for the surgery. When we complained they took him upstairs just to not hear the complaints. Upstairs waited another 4 hours. The procedure is only 20 min.They dont care one bit in this place about your comfort or discomfort waiting all day without food as it is a pre-surgery requirement from the midnight prior to surgery. All they care about is fitting in as many patients to make as much money as they can. Most of their patients are elderly people and its completely wrong to subject them to this abuse. The Health Dept. should investigate this place. On top of everything else the staff is useless and doesnt want to hear or be bothered with complaints. They are just here for a paycheck.This was the second time we came to this hospital and the exact same outcome
There is no Ultrasound equipment in the emergency room on the weekends. What kind of hospital doesn’t provide Ultrasound to the patients it’s a hospital it should be available every day
The best place hands down !! Me and my husband went in at the same time and they helped us quick and accurately! Will be coming here from now on. I’m sorry but Jacobi and any other hospital need to step it up!
You go in and out fast. Everything is fast. Routine tests, CT scans and X rays in less than 3 minutes,, so, not really trusting something done when you are not even wearing a robe, very cold place like all hospitals but no robes, no blankets, you have to keep your shoes on even in the stretcher. Im allergic to Percocet but when the nurse came with the pain medication he brough me Percocet.. I told him. Look I have a bracelet that says im allergic,,,, in this same hospital another nurse made me take that pill, I vomited, passed out and had convulsions (that happened like10 years ago) I had a very scary reaction. And just to finish. I was rushed to this hospital ER yesterday by ambulance because my BP was in 190/90, have Hypertension and take medication daily. I was home alone and I was feeling really sick, nauseous, strong headache and pressure in the back of my neck like I was going to faint. And in my discharge papers is written the reason to visit the ER is: DIZZINESS AND FATIGUE. Nothing about HBP. Hope never go to this place again. Thanks they discharge me fast.
Never again went here for chest pain the only answer doctor had for me was it can be anything all he could tell me was it’s not my heart after ekg was fine claimed they needed urine before x ray even though I assured them I’m not pregnant in the end they never even tested the urine it sat on the bed the whole time till I went home got the X-ray with out it how professional is that? In discharge paper says my vitals they took before leaving which is a big lie cause they took none very un caring and unprofessional oh and when I told the doctor aleve and Motrin were not helping me he suggest opioids!! Really this place is no good!went home with no answers and still pain

I came to this hospital with my husband and told me Im a visitor and that I cant come in with him in the room. I came from a far place to bring him here. And the front nurse call me his mom and im not his mother Im his wife. One cause there emergency room staff need to read their regulation book what is wrong with NY Hospitalsssss almost all them need to read the books of regulation and health book.😠😠😠😠 And I forgot just because nurse and doctor are changing shift they take parents or wife out of the emergency room I never heard that before I work at a hospital before.

DR. Lindsay R. Newcomb, has left a friend of mine in pain and caused him to suffer in pain needlessly. AVOID THAT WOMAN LIKE A DISEASE. Im not sure why she would go into medicine if she doesnt want to help people.
I went there for my 2 month old daughter. She had red eye problem. I knew that this hospital is not for children but it was very close to my house. So I went there and they were very polite and very quick service.
Staff is nice but the emergency room is too slow.There wasn’t that many people andI waited 4 hours for an X-ray plus results.
Sorry to say, the doctor and nurse are very unprofessional. Their attitude was like the patient is a burden to them.

Been treated here twice the service is really fast and the doctor are really nice but the front desk lady really rude and unpatient 2nd time I left really gave me a hard time trying to get treated ended leaving going to and other er

I had the worst experience with westchester square medical center 3 years ago i was miss diagnose the doctor. Said i had asthma and it was actually a heart attack I go back sep 4 2017 they was trying to give me a iv with medicine for a uti and swollen ankle i strongly suggest they close this place down if i didnt ask what was the iv for god only know what would have happened to me .
All are stopped staff in this Emergency. Bleeding from my Dad mouth. No body take care him proper way & no body see him for stop his bleeding in first hour. Terrible
Went there last night cause my throat was killing mefor 3 days vomiting fever and couching very weak went to the back and the doctor took forever to see me they took a swab of my thoat to see if it was strep throat he said no so he said there nothing I can do for you take Motrin omg he said what pain do you have that’s how I knew he wasn’t listening at all didn’t get his name I was so upset he was white looked like Frankenstein a little tall had a vision problem but any ways I went to urgent care In Bronxdale 2016 Bronxdale Avenue always have good experience here they gave me antibiotics pain meds couch meds and some meds while I was there thank god I went there today so emergency rooms isn’t always the answer and not that one even the lady when u come in that takes the insurance black skinny lady I’m black so I’m not racist just saying her race she had the only attitude no hi just sign here sign here several times with an attitude I don’t understand customer service employees that’s why it’s customer service cause you deal with people

2017-08-05Every time we come here the staff never show like they care. As soon as you walk in the first person you see ask you 15 questions so he said and ask you to sign all of those same stupid questions. Then all the nurses just stand there looking at you without showing any sympathy. I know it is not an easy job but they can at least try.

2021-11-29NOT recommended! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if youre looking for a thorough assessment of your urgent medical need(s). I promised myself I wouldnt come to this location again after a frustrating experience but decided to give them a second chance. Big mistake and awaste of time! I went in with a swollen neck, pain in my jaw and face, and fatigue. My pressure was not taken and no labs or bloodwork were ordered. I sat in a room with several others (ZERO privacy) and after looking at my neck, a PA said my thyroid appeared to be swollen and I should follow up with my primary care doctor. Thats it!The PA said they dont do ultrasounds at this location and when I asked if it was possible I may have tonsillitis or an infection, he asked me to open my mouth and used the flashlight on his cell phone to look inside... a cell phone flashlight! After telling me he didnt see any redness, he then left the room and I sat there for almost another hour not knowing if I was waiting for discharge papers or if another doctor was going to come in to see me and give his/her feedback. I finally walked out of the room to inquire and the PA happened to be walking by. He grabbed my discharge papers which appeared to have been ready (someone had forgotten or just didnt bother to give them to me after an hour of waiting)... and sent me on my way. When you know better, you DO better. Ill never come to this ER again.

2022-01-23If i could give 0 stars i would! Took my son here for an infection doctor said he couldnt do anything n medication wouldnt work and only gave a referral. I then called another monti where they advised i bring my son in ASAP turned out his infection was very severe and needed antibiotics right away! Now a days they must be given doctor degrees to anybody. Pretty sure if my sog applied she would get a doctor degree too!! So please stay away from the hospital

2021-12-22This hospital is so bad I took a ambulance and they didn’t resisted me and also I was pregnant and I stay there in the waiting room for 2h no nurse no doctor coming around and I get up and left with my pain 😭😭

2020-08-22I sadly had to check in twice at this location. On the second day, my pain was very bad. There was a nurse by the name Ammed and was very sarcastic. I was going through pain and made pain noises. He then tells me if that helps? What? The noise that I am projecting because of the pain? If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all! He mentioned that he gave humor and that’s why he said it. Do yourself a favor and just don’t talk with sarcasm if someone is in pain! Everyone else was fine. My first entry was a better experience. Try not to express your pain so they won’t make fun of you!

2020-08-25On Sunday, 23rd I went to Westchester Square Montefiore emergency room to be evaluated. I thought I was going to be there for a long time. But I was surprised. I arrived in the emergency room after 4:00pm and around after 7:00pm, I was discharged. They were very thorough in screening to pinpoint my symptoms.I would recommend this hospital to anyone. I also think because of the pandemic, the hospital is not crowded and as a result you will be seen quicker. Thats a good thing.

2019-07-17I went in and was seeing a nurse intake within 10 minutes and was in the ER talking to the doctor and getting an IV within 20 minutes. Everyone was friendly and compassionate. The ER was spotless and quiet. The doctors and nurses were top notches. Thank you for the pain relief and treatment.

2020-02-05Had foot surgery done and my experience was awesome. Nurse Kelly was not only professional in explaining the process, but was attentive n had a warm demeanor. I felt special. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Shah knows his Sh..! He was gentle with the IV and spoke in a kind manner. I live in Brooklyn but will return as I patient any day if there is a need. Thank you 4th floor staff and podiatrist Dr. Isaacson. Youre the best!!!! Youre appreciated too.

2017-04-20Terrible experience in life. I went there with my mother had to wait 4 hours for treatment. Doctor and nurses didnt have any smile on their face. It seems like they hate their job. They were rude with other patients also. I will never go their agin in my life.
